We could not recommend any better caterer for your event. The cost was VERY reasonable, the food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and working with Rhonda was a dream from start to finish. You can tell that she really cares about what she does and she takes great pride in her craft. :) You won't regret working with them!!
I can't say enough good things about Saucy Salamander! From the moment we started chatting with Rhonda about possibly using them for our wedding catering, I felt taken care of. Rhonda has been in the business for decades and really knows what she's doing. From day one, she was caring, attentive, professional, creative, and always easy to reach! She went above and beyond what I would expect from a wedding caterer - helping us with rentals, floorplan, etc. We ended up hiring Rhonda for both nights of our wedding weekend (one day for a 30 person 4-course sit down dinner, the next day for 150 people stations/cocktail style) and we got SO many compliments about the food both nights! Truly delicious, plentiful, and unique!! Her staff was lovely and hard working as well! -

Rhonda and her team were great from the beginning with timely communications, great advices and amazing menu options. Although our budget was limited, they went above and beyond with the food and the way it was displayed. Everything on our wedding day was perfect and according to the schedule thanks to their efforts and professionalism. Our guests really loved the food and praised the displays as well as the tables they were sitting at. Truly a wonderful team to work with. I highly recommend Saucy Salamander to anyone who wants to work with people who ease their work, not make it harder. We’re lucky we met you Rhonda! :) -

Rhonda and Saucy Salamander was the only choice to make for us! From start to finish Rhonda & Chef Jon made our daughters wedding absolutely perfect. Rhonda made everything so easy from picking linens, designing the set up of the venue and where things would be set up and how they would flow, she just has the magic touch. She also advised us on other vendors which was very helpful. Her staff was on point, very friendly and were happy to help us at any point with anything we needed. I can not wait to use Saucy Salamander again and would completely and highly recommend them for and special event you have planned. -

We hired The Saucy Salamander to cater our daughter's wedding. Rhonda and her team were beyond excellent from start to finish! From initial contact to the final little details wrapping up after the wedding, Rhonda was on point and responsive. She went out of her way to make sure we knew exactly what we needed to do during the months/weeks/days leading up to the event, coordinated rentals, and worked well with our wedding planner. We had the ceremony outdoors and the reception indoors, and she and her team handled all of the logistics of moving everything from outdoors to indoors while we were in photography. The food was outstanding - all the guests raved about it! The service was on point and the servers were friendly and responsive. After all was said and done, Rhonda and her team made sure to leave the venue in better shape than we found it. We were very please and would highly recommend Rhonda and the Saucy Salamander for any event you are planning! -

Rhonda and her team were amazing. She helped me and my husband navigate having to reschedule our wedding due to COVID. She was always available to answer every email and call I made. The wedding day was perfect; even though we ended up with about half of our original guest count, the team did everything to make it surpass my expectations. We did not hire a wedding planner and really had no need to due to Rhonda’s diligence and efficiency. I would use this company for any event in the future. -

Rhonda was so understanding because of COVID-19. I could ask Rhonda any questions I had about catering and even if she didn't have an answer right then, she would always tell me she would look into it (and she did)! She did such an amazing job helping me prepare and set up, her and her staff were always helping my guests and I, she just helped the day go by so much smoother. The food was also just as great! We all loved the food at the wedding so much, her team did amazing! I would recommend Rhonda 1000x YES to anyone who is looking for a sweet, communicative, and wonderful caterer. -

Fantastic service and delicious food!
Rhonda was fabulous from start to finish, helping with so many details and being available whenever I needed her! Our guests raved about the food, from the passed appetizers during cocktail hour, to the 4 stations we had--everyone was stuffed! The staff were so hardworking and friendly and attentive to everyone's needs. I HIGHLY recommend them, they were superb! -

Rhonda is absolutely amazing!!! She understood exactly what my fiancé and I wanted. She did a tasting for us even before we signed a contract. We were sold on Rhonda’s passion and understanding. Her food was unbelievable. So many options and prepared exactly how we asked!! She helped with the planning of the venue and buffet and overall setup! I can’t say enough good things about her and her business! Thank you so much! -

Best in Annapolis
After interviewing several catering services in the Annapolis area, we selected Saucy Salamander for our daughter’s wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect! I can’t thank Rhonda and her staff for making this the most beautiful day ever! The food, the presentation of the tables, the service, the attention to every detail was amazing! My only regret was that it went by too fast!
For anyone looking for a catering service for your special day, Saucy Salamander is top notch. Rhonda and her staff will work with you to make sure it is everything you want it to be.

We got married Memorial Day weekend in May. Rhonda did an exceptional job coordinating everything for the big day! Everything went off without a hitch! I was impressed with the all- inclusive service she offers-from food, drinks to rental items! They did it all, and did it without flaw.

Saucy Salamander (118 Mayo Rd. Edgewater, MD. 21037) catered a wedding and reception for us in May, 2019 and we were thrilled with everything they did for us. Rhonda was absolutely wonderful to work with...she quickly understood our ideas and was able to offer us great advice and many helpful suggestions. She guided us through every step of the process with gentle reminders and enthusiasm.
On the wedding day, it was evident that she and her staff were making every effort to help us host a very special and fabulous celebration. Our guests praised their professional manners, efficient service, and, of course their delicious food.
We could not have asked for a better company...we would not hesitate to recommend them for any catering needs, but especially for a wedding and reception that you’ll always remember with much pride and happiness. -

I just can't say enough about Rhonda and the team at Saucy Salamander Catering! Not only was the food delicious (we had numerous guests say it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding!), but the service that Rhonda provides is outstanding. We selected our caterer early on in the wedding planning process, and Rhonda stepped up early on to help me in any way possible. Since I didn't hire any kind of wedding planner, her help was so appreciated and relieved a lot of stress. On the day of the wedding, she arrived with her team early and ensured that every detail of the reception was perfect. I'll admit I'm a perfectionist and she surpassed every expectation. During the reception, she took care of me and my husband so well, serving us food, drinks, and cake right to our sweetheart table. If you're looking for a trustworthy, experienced caterer who can serve the most delicious food at your wedding, then you need to hire Saucy Salamander! -

Rhonda the owner and her staff are a class act! From day one we were impressed by the professionalism and the quality of the food. Rhonda helped with so much more than expected and made sure everything was perfect for our special day. Everything was amazing from the people to the food. Rhonda was super helpful, held our hand through everything. The food was beyond perfect even as leftovers. On our wedding day we didn’t have to ask for anything the crew was always there to help wether it was grabbing us a drink or just asking if we need anything. Their prices are unbelievable for the quality of service and food you get. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants their event to be even more amazing. So thankful for everything they did for us. -

Rhonda, you are the BEST! Things were a little crazy, but hiring Saucy was the best decision we made in all of our wedding planning. She was able to accommodate to my changing guest count, and was open to changing our menu from plated to buffet/heavy hors d'oeuvre when the day of our wedding got rained on. Rebecca Sent on 08/12/2015Finding Rhonda and her team was like winning the wedding planning lottery. Aside from her amazing catering services she was almost like a stand-in wedding planner. We went with almost all of her vendor recommendations and are so grateful for them. From the moment we started working with her, she was the biggest help. She was always available for answering questions about the food and the venue and smoothly kept up with all of our changes. The food was amazing and such a great price. Our buffet dinner offered our guests several entree choices. Guests told us throughout the night how good everything was. I'm only sad I wasn't able to eat more. The waitstaff was flawless and very professional. We hardly even noticed them. I cannot recommend Rhonda and Saucy Salamander enough. I would hire them in a heartbeat if I ever have need for a catered event in the future. -

My husband and I didn't feel like we were the one's throwing the party because the staff did such a good job. Rhonda was also very helpful and honesty about picking out the menu. Her focus isn't making money but making our event special. I will use them again for more events in the future.

I came to Rhonda because my original caterer was unable to cater my wedding reception, and though I had a back-up caterer in mind that I was looking in to, I decided I needed to have a back-up for my back-up plan just in case. We met with Rhonda and immediately felt at ease, as if everything happens for a reason and we had landed with the caterer we were meant to have. Did I mention this was 1 month before the wedding reception? Rhonda flew into action. I felt so comfortable and trusted that she had it all taken care of. I did not worry at all that my reception would be wonderful. The food was great and presented beautifully wonderful (I wish I could’ve had more, but no time ) . Things ran smoothly and all the workers were pleasant, helpful, and efficient. Thank you, Saucy Salamander, for the part you played in our special day! -

The food was fantastic, the wedding reception was run flawlessly, the service was attentive and professional, and Rhonda is fun and eager to please. She is friendly, energetic, and very encouraging. When we said "Brunch" she was happy to discuss Brunch ideas but equally happy to hear our ideas. She made key lime pie milkshakes and mini pancakes on toothpicks at our request. She gave good advice on how to set up the venue and was a great help throughout the planning process from meeting at the venue to picking the rental place settings. They love food and good service. We loved them! -

Rhonda, her son Jonathan, and the entire team were incredible. Rhonda was open to meet with us when we had questions and was always open to my fiances crazy ideas including an Old Bay bar that the guests LOVED. Our food from start to finish was delicious. The staff was so kind and was always checking on not only us but also making sure our guests were taken care of. Showed up 2 hrs late & would not answer phone or called as to when they were coming. They Never got food out in timely manner or properly presented & displayed so my Guests were standing around waiting to be fed and both people were outside vaping. There were Empty chafing dishes & charcuterie board was a joke. She never offered apology or even partial refund & never returned calls or responded to emails. Turns out Rhonda the owner was babysitting for her son who she sent in her place with his friend. Absolute nightmare & I would never have hired them had I known that was her plan. I know our event was very small as I explained to Rhonda. Our family had recently had a tragedy so we were doing a very small gathering at our house & she almost laughed when I asked if she would be coming. Sending her ill equipped son & a friend who got dressed in our driveway for our wedding was egregious breach of professionalism so it turns out she could babysit her grandchild. I so wish I had hired someone else. Was not as I would ever have expected hiring a professional caterer should ever be.
