  The single greatest decision I made for my wedding

  The single greatest decision I made for my wedding, besides marrying my partner, is booking Saskia to do our photography. She is incredibly professional, creative, and calm under pressure. She was able to work out a custom package that fit my non-traditional reception better than anyone else, and she truly captured the energy and candid excitement of everyone there with out all the cheesy "grip and grin" shots. As a guest at other people's weddings I've often felt a need to "perform" for the camera like when the photographer jumps into my circle of friends when we are all enthusiastically dancing. NOT WITH SASKIA. My guests and I felt like we never saw her during the whole reception, yet when I got back my photos she had somehow captured every single magical moment without me or my guests even noticing she was there.
  
  My reception had a lot of moving parts. Our large wedding party, including my partner and I, as well as about half of the guests are musicians and we were all playing as a massive wedding band as the entertainment for the reception. Saskia was an absolute pro coordinating with the AV techs regarding lighting, and even though it was just her and one assistant the number angles captured made it seem like there must have been a small army of people to get so many different shots.
  
  If you are looking for someone with a sharp artistic eye, a calm and pleasant demeanor, and someone who will provide unique photos for your wedding, Saskia is exactly who you are seeking. Thank you SO MUCH Saskia for capturing all of the elements that made our big day so special, for contributing to it with your talent, and for these keepsakes that our family will cherish forever.

  Saskia is a gem!

  Saskia was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was the perfect mix of professionalism and down-to-earth. She displayed elegant control of our families (not an easy task) for portrait time and gave us exactly what we wanted for our special day. She went above and beyond to research and traverse the city (literally) so that we had ALL the amazing shots. More than a couple of our guest commented on her understated, graceful command of the camera throughout our wedding and reception. Call her for your NYC wedding needs!

  Saskia is truly the best! I hired her with a friend to photograph our other best friend's city hall wedding ceremony, and I honestly couldn't be happier with our investment. She truly has a unique eye, an approachable style, and some of the sweetest photos that I've ever seen. Plus, she was incredibly responsive and quick to return the photos edited to perfection. Do yourself a favor: look no further and hire Saskia for your wedding celebration!

  Saskia was amazing! She captured so many beautiful moments and made us all look very cool. Not to mention how skillful she was at getting reluctant relatives to pose! Everyone was thrilled with the results!

  When we received our photographs from Saskia, we knew we had the best photographer.
  
  Saskia is a fun and comfortable person and we felt at ease and enjoyed the experience. Our photo shoot was on a sweltering day but she was able to capture everyone looking their best. She gave us directions on how to pose and the photographs came out beautifully. She is truly amazing and talented--it comes out through her work. We are truly thankful to have met Saskia!

  Saskia did an AMAZING job capturing our wedding. We did not want staged photos, and Saskia had an amazing eye for catching naturally occurring and highly expressive moments. Furthermore, she also provided us with invaluable advice on how to structure our wedding. She responded quickly to all of our questions, and also adapted well to some of the unique challenges our wedding poised. If I knew anyone who needed a photographer, I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

  Saskia was accommodating of the fact that we wanted photography, but we didn’t want to pose much or otherwise feel like the camera was in our face the whole time. She nonetheless got a ton of fabulous shots. Excellent artistry.

  Saskia is hands down THE BEST! we were thrilled with the photographs that Saskia took at our wedding. We had an outdoor / pool party style wedding and she was really able to capture the fun, festival vibe of the day. There are tons of beautiful candid shot of the wedding and party in action as well as lovely posed pictures too. For the more 'traditional family wedding pictures' Saskia was really able to get a great balance between the classic style pictures and the personal shots. She also worked closely with my husband and to get some really pretty and intimate pictures in different settings... which we really treasure. Saskia's approach is also really great. She is super professional - from the first consultation right through tot he delivery of the pictures. We felt that she worked really hard to try and get all the shots we wanted but was also super flexible when things changed at the last minute. (it rained when we did our actual ceremony, so we had to do a last minute location switch and she was so accommodating!) Saskia is also a total sweetheart and really put people at ease while having to stay on top of the shot list! Ultimately we were absolutely blown away by Saskia's service and cool, contemporary yet personal pictures she produced. Book her!

  Saskia is AMAZING! We were so anxious about finding a photographer who could give us the style of photos we wanted while staying within our (relatively limited) budget. Saskia was a GODSEND. My partner and I feel so lucky to have had her as our wedding photographer—our photos are beautiful, with an excellent range of posed portraits and candids that capture how fun, festive, and personal the day felt as well as how lovely it looked. We had a relatively small wedding (48 people) with the ceremony in an NYC park and a second line parade led by a brass band to our reception in a nearby restaurant. Saskia was WONDERFUL at working with so many venues (including a moving parade!), and she and her assistant captured amazing overall shots, portraits, and details, moving smoothly from the ceremony to the parade and reception. Our families and guests were so impressed, and so many of them have told us how wonderful Saskia was throughout the day and how much they love the photos from our wedding. In addition to the amazing photos, Saskia is just such a joy to work with—she is incredibly professional and organized, and her positive, calming energy made leading up to the wedding as well as the overall day such a pleasure. When lunch took an hour longer than it had been scheduled to, Saskia was very flexible and extended her time with us to capture our dance party. In addition to documenting it beautifully, she was so present throughout our wedding day, and we were so happy that she was sharing in our experience. I almost wish we were getting married again soon so that we could book her twice, and I know we’re going to treasure our photos throughout our marriage. Book her!

We wanted to have beautiful shots that wouldn't come off as "cheesy wedding photos"... Saskia knew exactly what to do. Her candid style of photography captured the electric, positive atmosphere of the wedding, staying true and real. As a person, she was easy going, kind, and very approachable when any questions or requests were made.
