  i had a 3 tier wedding cake with each tier a different flavor. it was so hard to decide which one was best! after the wedding, everyone was asking me where i had gotten the cake. it was the best wedding cake i had ever tried.

  I know I may be biased, since it was my wedding, but that was the best cake I have every had! Sarah's Pastries & Candies did an amazing job with our cake. Not only was it beautifully decorated but it was also absolutely delicious. Sarah herself did the tasting with us and was so helpful when it came to recommending flavors and fillings that go well together. We ended up with a vanilla and chocolate cake with milk chocolate mousse and caramel creme brulee mousse filling. Several people came up to me and said it was the best cake they have ever had at a wedding. Highly recommended!

  AMAZING! My husband and I eloped in Chicago. We had one day to get all the vendors in order. We walked in with a picture in mind of what cake we wanted. Without a cake tasting, we decided on a cake flavor and a filling which turned out amazing. The cake was so moist it melted right in your mouth. Our cake turned out even better than what we could have imagined and tasted amazing!

  We love Sarah! My husband works near Sarah's on Oak and is a pretty regular customer, so when we started talking about a wedding cake we knew where we were going. We wanted a cake that tasted good and if it looked pretty that was a bonus - but Sarah was easily able to do both. Our cake was almond with caramel creme brulee filling - delicious!!! And we weren't forced to have the cake covered in fondant - super smooth yummy buttercream frosting coated our cake.
  Sarah herself is sweet as well and you can tell that she loves what she does, actually you can taste that she loves what she does!

  Sarah's was wonderful to work with - we came to them with a unique concept of doing a cake bar. Instead of one wedding cake, we wanted five or six uniquely decorated, but cohesive, cakes. They were completely flexible with the design, in terms of decoration, number of tiers, number of cakes, etc., and gave us a delicious tasting so we could choose our flavors. They were even very amenable to working with my sister, who produced the centerpiece cake for the table (other vendors were not so open to this idea). Their cake was delicious and the effect of all the cakes together was beautiful!

  Sarah’s cake was included with our reception so while we do not have any other cake tastings to compare to, we can say that Sarah’s cake was stunningly beautiful and tasted delicious. We got so many compliments from guests on the cake itself and design. You have to get the fondant, it is amazing. My fav layer was the almond cake with amaretto but our other 2 layers – carrot w/ cream cheese and vanilla w/ raspberry were also delicious. I am not a huge buttercream fan myself but I know others liked it. Sarah herself is really great to work with and she was also kind enough to help us out with 2 birthday cupcakes, which my 2 friends loved. And she does an anniversary cake if you’d like so you don’t have to fool with losing out on freezer space for a year :)

Sarah's was amazing at allowing us to have so many options for a great cost overall. I just wish that I was able to eat more of the cake on my wedding night. The cupcakes were beautiful as well; little works of art.
