I knew long before having a fiancé to plan a wedding with that I wanted to work with Sarah Khan Event Styling, from seeing her unique touch at my friend’s wedding in 2015. Her talent and scale of events has just expanded. Working with her and her team was a dream. We had a detailed chat about our vision for each of the events and overall budget, and then received an itemized proposal with each part of the design explained (entrance, stage, centerpieces, signage, bridal bouquet, groom boutonnière, bridesmaid corsage, etc.). She also made suggestions for what rentals to use (linens, chairs, charger plates, etc.) that will help give a cohesive look to the room. I especially appreciated the extra time she took to understand my desire for a LOTR-inspired reception and brought that vision to life through the custom designed arch, shire-inspired florals, and lush greenery. Every part of the room had something visually interesting for guests to enjoy and the overall room had a beautifully cohesive look. I am super grateful to her and the team for all their hard work with set up and break down of the room. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We would work with SKES again in a heartbeat for any future events. -

SKES - creating magic everyday
SKES did our Mehndi and Wedding during Labor Day weekend. We booked with her a year and half out and her team was very crucial in bringing the whole aesthetic together. The Mehndi design was fairly uncomplicated. We had a backyard event with a pool in the middle. SKES did an ornate backdrop with stools that added to the festive vibe of the day. There were lanterns hanging from trees, and these very cute Rickshaw centerpieces.
For the wedding day, SKES suggested a very unique color palette very early on – it was mauve, blush, and nudes contrasted with ash and black. Fahmid and I were instantly thinking “Paris at night” vibes, and boy did they deliver! The ceremony took place with a riser in the middle of the room, with an organza partition that SKES bedazzled in house. The reception was brought together with the most ornate centerpieces, lots of candlelight, and some lighting sorcery, that gave the entire room the most romantic atmosphere. I wish I could sit in the room forever and ever! -

Intimate Floral Design Perfection
Words are insufficient to describe the thoughtfulness and exquisite execution of Sarah and Bharati for our intimate 14 person affair but as an event business owner, I can wholeheartedly say that whatever I dreamed, Sarah and Bharati took and expanded it beyond our expectations. It was perfect because they listened to us, they were prepared and they knew that the floral design had to nail and represent the blending of two cultures. Was it an investment? Yes but when I look back and think about the quality we received, frankly it was more than fairly priced. -

We are so grateful to Sarah and her team for working with us on our wedding. We were definitely hard to work with as I was abroad most of the year while my husband was busy with med school here, so it was hard to get ahold of us together for more than a couple days at a time. Sarah has built a grand reputation for herself, which definitely speaks for itself, that let me put full faith in her and completely let go of wedding stress, anxiety, etc. I was only ever excited to see the reveal on the big day and never felt even an ounce of worry. Her team was always quick to respond and beyond flexible to make the little details most important to us happen. I could keep going for days with my review of her work and services and but the bottom line is that your investment will speak for itself on your big day if you work with her!! It’s as simple as that, the proof is very much in the pudding (or the kheer)!!! -

Wonderful, flexible team
We hired Sarah Khan to handle our mehndi and to construct the mandap for our wedding ceremony. Not only did they do a beautiful job both nights, but they were also so flexible. The day before the wedding we realized we needed an extra chair and coffee table on the stage for the wedding ceremony, and Sarah Khan was able to pull and reuse inventory for the mehndi that matched our wedding decor. -

Our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the very first call to the day of of our event, all staff members were extremely professional, respectful, and ready to cater to our needs. They understood our budget and worked around our needs to deliver top notch decorations.
Staff were communicative during the entire process and made good decisions, when needed, to deliver on their promise.
We highly recommend them!!! -

Thank you to Sarah Khan and her amazing team for bringing the wedding of my dreams to life! I could not have asked for a better team to work with. Every detail was exactly as I wanted it to be and that much more. Sarah Khan went above and beyond to add in extra details to make everything perfect. I felt completely at ease the weekend of my wedding knowing that her and her team would make sure everything would go as planned. The SKES team was punctual, professional, worked closely with the venues, and absolutely worth the money. I shopped around with other vendors and felt the most comfortable with the SKES team and felt I would get the most out of the decor with the money spent. Sarah Khan unfortunately had a death in her family right before my wedding and she called to let me know and immediately a new team lead stepped in and followed up with me and made sure everything went exactly as planned and it did! This gave me so much comfort and I was able to go on with the weekend worry free. Thank you so much to Sarah Khan and her team for making my wedding the most beautiful and memorable. -

My wedding was last August and it was on a pretty big scale. I wanted the florals and decor to be perfect. I saw Sarah’s work at a friend’s wedding and knew she would be the perfect person to go with. Her team did an impeccable job and transformed every space into the wedding of my dreams!!! -

From their level of professionalism and organization to staying on track with all the details and changes I sent their way to even staying behind and helping me on the day of- I'm floored. Every person I encountered was top notch- from Sarah to Batul to Bharati to Autumn. They go above and beyond and really take the time to listen to what the client wants. I give them a super duper 100/10! Love you guys and may you continue to prosper and grow'

Salina Sent on 07/25/2018Our 500-person Hindu/Sikh wedding took place in August 2017. We used SKES for the Saatak, Sangeet, Sikh&Hindu ceremonies, and reception. The one word I use to describe Sarah is "goddess."
I was a busy bride-to-be (also why I am writing this review almost a year later), and had little time to plan a large, double-ceremony wedding. Sarah was great at communication through the entire design process, even when I wasn't. She offered beautiful and practical ideas, using my pinterest board as inspiration. I wanted to keep within a budget, and Sarah worked with me and my family to use our budget in the most effective places. I wanted to have my Sangeet outdoors (between 2 massive buildings), and Sarah and Bharati strategized an elegant floral backdrop for our event, taking into consideration that the wind tunnel created by those buildings would not allow for typical fabric draping. We had a very tight schedule with back-to-back wedding ceremonies, and she was always timely with decor. She made my dream of a suspended mandap a reality, and worked with the hotel to figure out the necessary specifications and cost. When the hotel staff did not deliver our reception hall table arrangements FOUR days before the wedding, Sarah took control, and used the hotel staff's login info to complete the table arrangements herself (definitely not in her job description). I was so blown away by the decor, that I actually texted Sarah DURING my wedding reception because I was just that grateful. Multiple people came up to me during the reception to ask who my decorator was.
I recommend her without any hesitation to anyone who is looking for beautiful & elegant decor, a trustworthy friend through the wedding process, and someone who goes above and beyond her call of duty as a decorator. She does not just decorate empty rooms, she creates works of art and feeling. I trust and love Sarah so much, that she was 1 of only 2 wedding vendors that we used again for my little sister's wedding. -

Sanna Sent on 07/17/2018Sarah Khan and her team were one of the best decisions I made when planning my wedding! They did a phenomenal job! Our wedding was 3 days long (mehendi, shaadi and walima) and all held in the same hotel and ballroom. I was so worried that each day would look and feel the same and Sarah and her team made sure that would not be the case at all! We worked with both Sarah and Bharati and after one meeting with them each, they knew exactly the style I wanted for each event. We wanted to keep the mehendi vibrant and fun, the shaadi I wanted a rustic romantic garden look and the walima we wanted a classic and elegant reception. Each event looked equally beautiful and elegant but yet different and unique. The mehendi hall had people in complete awe! Every little detail I envisioned, Sarah's team brought to life. The florals on each day were stunning! Sarah made my mehendi flower jewelry and bridal bouquet, both were so gorgeous! Bharati assembled the flowers on the shaadi cake and did so exactly how I envisioned. They even had bird cages and garden gates on the shaadi for the rustic garden feel! And the walima decor was so warm and elegant, and truly set the tone of love and happiness in the room.
Not only did everything look amazing, but the over all experience was so flawless. Sarah and Bharati were so helpful, welcomed us to their warehouse more than once and was able to work with my husband and in-laws who planned the walima in in Texas where they live. The fact that such a beautiful walima was created after meeting with my husband in person only once is incredible and speaks volumes of Sarah and her amazing team. Honestly from the bottom of my heart I can’t thank you enough! From the moment we met with Sarah and Bharati to the end of the walima, you treated us like family, gave us respect and listened to what we wanted, and delivered more than we imagined! Thank you so much! -

SKES was one of my dream vendors when starting the planning process! I fell in LOVE her style for designing spaces. The way florals can transport a room is not typical and I love that. I had a lot of compliments from guests, especially regarding our Sangeet decor! We did have some issues selecting furniture for the event which was accidentally left for a month before the wedding -- so our initial choice options were given to other events. Other than that we do appreciate the communication the SKES had with us and were willing to jump on a call with us if we had a new idea/change of concept. -

Yasmine Sent on 07/17/2018I worked with Sarah Khan as a wedding planner and worked as a liaison between the bride and Sarah's team. Sarah was personable and professional from day one and it was clear to me that she had a lot of experience in her field. She let me know which requests were not realistic because of our budget and what was workable. She otherwise worked with the bride's vision and did her best to negotiate the design to keep the budget in mind. We left the outdoor gazebo to her with little direction and she did a wonderful job of incorporating elements from inside the reception hall but with a natural twist to suit the environment. You're paying for professionalism, promptness, and a well trained team. She may not be as affordable as other decorators, but she'd be a headache-less option who calms you and works with you in a way other decorators don't. On the day of the wedding, her huge team was the example of speed and efficiency. They didn't get in anyones way, communicated directly with the hotel staff, and didn't require help or coordination from myself. Her and her team and their process and decor was the least of my concerns that day which really was a blessing. -
User2934856 Sent on 12/31/2016We came to SK in search of a different aesthetic and creative eye. I had some ideas of combining traditional desi decor with western influenced ideas and she made it happen. My sister and I worked closely with her and her assistant Bharati to come up with four unique looks for my wedding events that occurred over a span of 48 hours at four different venues over a 3.5 month period.
In the beginning I was a bit apprehensive as I did not hear from SKES after our initial email, phone consultation - but after a few weeks we were able to arrange an in person consultation. We exchanged emails/photos prior to that so that she would be able to show me some arrangements. Since I was an out of town bride, I had minimal time and needed to get things done in a short period. We were there for 5 hours, she fed us her yummy mac & cheese and laid down most of the details for the events. Over the next several months there were numerous calls/emails/add-ons. At times I didn't know if it would all come together because of the vast amount of details but it did! They worked well with my event coordinator and caterer and even met with them separately to discuss further details.
The SKES team was pricy but they did not disappoint and I would highly recommend them.
