  Incredible photos, even more incredible humans!

  We can't recommend Sarah and her team at SHP enough as your wedding photographers (or really... for anything!) Having the included engagement shoot was the perfect touch, as we got to meet Sarah and Tim and get comfortable taking pictures and get to know them so by the time we reached the big day, we were so excited to see them and knew everything was going to be perfect! They do an incredible job of capturing all the photos you expect like the family photos/wedding party/etc. but also the fun photos that capture the nuances of what makes each couples' perfect day individually special! They're also so well organized, great communicators (especially since we were planning from 300 miles away in Boston), and turned around sneak peek photos in just a few days! We're so excited to see the rest in just a few weeks and have an excuse to see and hang out with them again! Hire SHP!

  The search for a wedding photographer stops with Sarah Heppell Photography. Whether you are aiming for elegance or something unique and out of the box, this crew will fit any wedding vibe and create an incredibly professional, thoughtful, and enjoyable experience. When we first met Sarah she invited us to her vibrant studio where she had us share our story with her and immediately it felt like we were chatting with an old friend. From there Sarah and Tim adventured around Green Lakes with us for our fun engagement shoot, we chatted over lunches, Sarah was quick to respond to any questions we had along the way, and she never left our side when we had to postpone our wedding. Leading up to the wedding and with our input in mind, SHP had thoroughly planned every detail and shot they wanted to capture. Additionally, they coordinated with our other vendors so that no one missed a beat the day of the wedding. Finally, Sarah and Jenn had the sweetest reveal party with us where they shared our stunning photos, incredibly thoughtful blog post, and album!

  Amazing photographer, best investment ever

  Sarah and her team were amazing- professional, friendly, super supportive. They had their vision but were also very accepting of our ideas. They made our day go smoothly and made sure we take all the shots on the list we put together.
  Coming up to the wedding, Sarah was very thorough and made sure we thought about everything.
  The pictures came out absolutely beautiful. I have been looking at them for a week now and can’t get enough. They have captured the mood of the day and the love in the air, pardon my newlywed sappyness.
  Sarah and her team are worth every penny. They will make your day special, they will give you something to remember your wedding perfectly for the years to come, and they will show you how beautiful you can be when you are happy. Even when you are ugly crying while walking down the aisle.

  Photographer and Best Friend

  Sarah is legit the best human ever. There are so many things, so I’ll try to hit on a few to save some space.
  1. Sarah gets to know you both as a couple so well. She offers an included engagement picture session. Not only is it great to have these pictures, but it lets Sarah get to know you both and for you both to get to know Sarah. What this did was make us uber comfortable with Sarah on the day of the event. It felt like we had known each other for years already
  2. Sarah and her team coordinate extremely well with your other vendors. We were worried about each vendor dominating our time, but Sarah and her team were so professional and all the coordination happened without my wife and I needing to “get the kids to play nice in the sandbox together.”
  3. Her shots are stunning - absolutely amazing. She does dance scenes, candids, landscapes, detail shots, the whole thing just so beautifully.
  4. Her process is really easy. She uses a lot of online platforms that make it easy to schedule, pay invoices, fill out forms, etc.
  5. She is a blast to be around. 100% guaranteed you will have fun with her.

  Sarah did my brand photography and she did an amazing job. She was prompt, gave me an itinerary to follow, was very organized, and delivered the photos very quickly. I was very pleased with her service!

  Can we give 10 stars? Not sure we can say enough how much we loved working with Sarah and her team. I’m sad to not be in constant contact now that our wedding is over!! We are thrilled with our engagement photos and are on pins and needles to see the magic she captured on our wedding day. Sarah and her team are absolutely amazing, got our personalities, what worked and what didn’t. She was quick and not at all in the way. Our guests even commented on how wonderful they were!!   From the beginning, Sarah was so responsive with e-mails and questions and helping us decide which length package would be best for our wedding day. We moved across the country after we had booked Sarah, but we kept our venue and date in New York. Sarah was extremely helpful. Throughout the entire planning process, she answered questions, responded quickly, planned the timeline, gave tips for what would make the wedding day run smoother, suggested vendors, all in a completely professional and super friendly manner! We had purchased a package that included an engagement session, which we did not get to do before we moved. She offered to fly out to get pictures in Washington. For her to offer this meant the world to us, and it shows that she truly cares for her clients and goes above and beyond for them. This is something you won’t find with any photographer. Unfortunately, it did not work out to have her fly out, but the fact that she offered says a lot for who she is as a businesswoman and photographer.
  We received so many compliments from our guests about Sarah and her team. They were fun, professional, punctual, and amazing to work with. This was truly the best investment we could have made for our wedding day. And why? Because after all of the planning and stressing and dancing and laughing and the actual wedding is over, what is left? The pictures. We are so happy our wedding was captured by her team, because they truly cared about our day. They did not make us feel like this was just another wedding they were capturing. They didn’t act like this was a job. They acted like they love what they do. This is exactly what you want out of a wedding photographer, someone who is willing to fly to Washington for your engagement pictures, work with you two days before your wedding in their very busy season, lay on the ground for you, capture your quirky dog cutouts, and go above and beyond for you.   Sarah and her team of photographers are everything a couple wants on their big day, their engagement photo session, and everything in between. My husband and I booked Sarah immediately after becoming engaged as we knew she was the best of the best- and she waited a full 2.5 years and helped us plan every step of the way. Sarah and her team are fun, creative, down to earth, DEDICATED, and professional. The day before my wedding a flash flood was in the forecast. Everyone in my wedding party reassured me Sarah would know what to do and to trust her artistic eye. I followed her lead and our photographs are BEAUTIFUL. Sarah and her team fought a monsoon, a four hour power outage (which they kept the photobooth up in! HELL YEAH!), a ceremony in a pitch black barn lit by wedding guests' cellphones, and all while with mud up to their knees. Sarah is more than a photographer. She accompanied me to my wedding venue and organized all the important details for me directly after our meeting, took important photos that I saved for later planning (and decorating), AND she traveled all the way to Arlington VA for our engagement photos! She even suffered a 5am sunrise photoshoot! She is a beast, and she is the best. After the wedding concluded everyone noted how organized and professional Sarah and her team were and described her confidence as contagious. Guests were drawn to her energy and I believe she kept the mood alive and well on our big day. If you book anyone else as your wedding photographer team you will be greatly disappointed.

  Her whimsical photo style caught my eye from the very beginning, I loved the way she brought personality into the formal portraits and really captured the moments with thought-out candid shots. I shopped around a little, but nothing compared to Sarah Heppell Photography. I honestly think I would have thoroughly regretted not going with this photographer.
  
  Sarah was poised, responsive and really handled every question I had without seeming bothered by my inquiries. (I had a ton of questions, having never hired a photographer before.) There's not a single interaction I had with her or her team that wasn't positive and genuinely happy.
  
  The photos were delivered super quickly and they are stunning, definitely take a look through her blog and see how well she caters to each individual wedding and really captures the heart and soul of the celebration.
  
  She also went above and beyond for us, finding poses and spots that were perfection. She added a few portraits of my parents to celebrate a big milestone for them without anyone asking, she just offered them the opportunity and they're so special.
  
  Honestly. Book her. It is worth it, and so much more.

  This girl ... where do I even begin? Sarah is AMAZING!!!! She has done a few of my friends' engagement photos and wedding photos, and I have always loved how vivid and bright her photos are. She is one of the funnest people I have ever met, and she made my husband and I feel so relaxed during everything! Our engagement shoot was so much fun and she made all of the images look gorgeous (our favorite was in front of a random garage door in Downtown Syracuse; it's so awesome!) and the day of the wedding she made everyone feel natural and made sure we had a great time (because let's face it, sometimes posing can be a drag.) And her team is amazing - I cannot say enough good things about Jenn and Wesley (and of course, Sarah's husband Tim who did an awesome job manning our Photo Booth!) So many people have commented on how awesome our photographer was, and I couldn't agree more!

  Wow wow wow! Sarah and her assistant Jenn knocked our recent wedding photos out of the park! We planned our Norwich, NY wedding from CA and through the entire process Sarah was very responsive to our questions and desires. Sarah's easy-going demeanor coupled with her experience and talent really makes her a joy to work with.
  
  On the day of our wedding Sarah and Jenn took great care to capture all the shots we had talked about, but also let them happen naturally. Nothing felt rushed, staged, or uncomfortable. She has given us the gift of being able to relive our special day through her beautiful photos!

  Sarah, Jenn, & Wesley came to capture our special day and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they were to work with. All three are professional, easy to talk and work with, and open to any ideas and suggestions you have.
  
  We have known Sarah for a few years outside of her photography business and knew from the moment we were engaged that we wanted her to be our wedding photographer. Her pictures are clear with great color and seem to capture the best moments of life. Sarah is fun, easy to work with, unique and quirky (in a good way) and awesome at what she does. Sarah, Jenn, and Wesley were easy to work with and gave directions when we were doing photos in a friendly manner. They helped set us up for success in the photo taking process. Sarah does a great job at making people feel comfortable, capture their best side, and gets people to laugh. Sarah and the gang were even up on our dance floor (a stage in a theater) capturing guests dance moves and made sure to capture a fantastic picture of our last dance with some of our guests gathered around as we were lit up and kissed; it is one of my favorite pictures of all time.
  
  We also went with Sarah for our engagement photos. She did two photo sessions for us - one where we were able to get silly with some animal masks and then some mushy pictures at a coffee shop. Both times she captured some pretty great photos of us that I think a lot of other photographers would have missed or not been up to shooting (such as the animal masks).
  
  I know we will be going to Sarah for future photos and we cannot wait to see the photos for our wedding day. THANK YOU so much Sarah, and Jenn & Wesley too! :)

Both times she captured some pretty great photos of us that I think a lot of other photographers would have missed or not been up to shooting (such as the animal masks).

  Sarah and Jenn captured our wedding from every angle, we could not have been more pleased with the results of our engagement photo session and sneak peeks from the wedding pics.   Something that really impressed me was the when I met up with Sarah to pick up our flash drive of pictures, I didn't get just a standard flash drive from Staples! I got this beautiful wooden flash drive that said "The Best Day Ever" on the front of it. Not only that but it was wrapped up in this beautiful box inside a cute bag. She also gave me a few cute photos of us that I was not expecting. This was such a nice little touch that she had. I loved it!

  I am so happy we chose Sarah Heppell as our photographer. I was originally going with a friend of a friend... who, to make a long story short, turned out to be an absolute nightmare! Sarah was so accommodating and patient with everything, my crazy work schedule and all of my questions. After having our engagement session and seeing how amazing she made us look and feel, we knew we had nothing to worry about. What a relief!
  
  On the day of our wedding Sarah and her second shooter, Jenn, were amazing! As with all weddings there was an issue starting the ceremony on time which sort of rushed everything after it. But Sarah and Jenn moved quickly and really rolled with the punches. I have to admit that I was worried that we didn't get enough of the traditional pictures but as it turned out we actually did! Between the two of them multitasking I am so proud of how great our wedding photos came out! It takes a true professional and person with experience and talent to calmly handle a situation like that.

  I knew Sarah and I would get along right from the start. The fact that she offers a "tattooed bride" discount is awesome! It just goes to show how cool and down to earth she is. Sarah actually contacted me when I registered on Syracusewedding.com to tell me about herself and her photography services. At the time, I was living in Baldwinsville which is where her office is located. How convenient! She was extremely flexible in setting up our first meeting with her (and for any appointment there after). As soon as my husband Tom and I left our first meeting with Sarah, we were figuring out in the car when we could make the deposit to book her. Needless to say she made a great first impression.
  
  We had our engagement session in Franklin Square which is just a great spot and Sarah knew the best places to shoot. Our pictures came out great. Even during the whole planning process, Sarah took the time out of her busy schedule to check in on us and make sure all the planning was going ok. When it was time for our final meeting about 4 days before the wedding, she was flexible enough to meet me at Great Northern Mall because it happened to be the night of the guys tuxedo fitting and my 4 year old son needed to come with me. So she met me in the food court so he could hang out in the play area.
  
  I can't not express how happy Tom and I are with our wedding photos. They are absolutely amazing. Sarah and Jenn captured every single important moment and more. They took so many beautiful shots at the ceremony and the reception candid shots were great. Sarah is extremely creative so when we told her we could use the horse track for some photos at the reception, she totally lit up!
  
  I would recommend Sarah Heppell Photography to anybody, Sarah is such a great person to work with and she will make your day so much easier knowing that she is there to capture every special moment.
