So Glad We Did Not Go With A Friend!
We are so thankful we found Sarah! We had a friend who we were going to use but out of nowhere he backed out. We were panicking but Sarah came in and saved the day. She was friendly, professional, and calming. She created a perfect ceremony and our guests were shocked to discover we had just met her since she really portrayed our story as though she was there every step of the way! -

Phenomenal Ceremony
We knew within 15 minutes of meeting Sarah that she had to be our officiant. It was good vibes from the very start. She asked the right questions to get to know us and our relationship. We even got to know her too! She guided us when it came to picking what we wanted like readings, poems etc. And reaching out to her was never a problem. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful and we received so many compliments from our guests, saying how ceremonies are usually boring and dull but ours was one of the best they’ve been to. She incorporated humor into our love story, which is exactly what we wanted. All in all, she nailed it. Our ceremony was everything we could’ve imagined it to be. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone and everyone. The Riveras thank you Sarah for being a phenomenal officiant & giving us the best ceremony! -

Sarah is the best!!
We chose Sarah as our officiant after seeing her perform a ceremony at a friend’s wedding. We are so happy we decided to go with her for our ceremony. When we first met with Sarah she asked us questions about us as a couple and our relationship. I can’t believe the beautiful words she wrote with the information we gave her when we first met. She was so chill and laid back which is exactly what we wanted for our day. -

Wonderful wedding officiant!
We could not have asked for a better officiant than Rev. Sarah Gutmann. She is a genuinely kind person that puts in the time and effort to make your wedding ceremony heartfelt and personal. She is also an extremely warm, caring, and fun person that you will be happy to have be a part of your special day. We cannot recommend Sarah highly enough! -

Best wedding officiant
We couldn’t have found a better officiant for our wedding. Sarah is so down to earth and a genuinely kind person. She took the time to get to know us before the wedding so she could create a personalized ceremony for our special day. There was lots of tears and laughter throughout the ceremony thanks to Sarah. We highly recommend Sarah a million times over! -

The Easiest Personal Process
Hiring an officiant is so daunting, it’s such a huge part of your Wedding day. Sarah made us comfortable to share our feelings and specifications for our Wedding ceremony. Sarah was so helpful and fun to talk to. Justine performed our ceremony and she was so sweet, professional, and kind to us on the day of our Wedding. We even had to move our ceremony inside and she managed to ease a bit of my anxiety. I loved working with both of them and will definitely recommend them in the future! -

Reverend Sarah Gutmann is fantastic! We are still receiving compliments on our personalized ceremony and what a wonderful job Sarah did. During our ceremony, it began to rain and we can not thank her enough for the way she handled the wet situation. She didn’t skip a beat as the rain came down and continued the ceremony, which made for a fun and memorable day that we’ll never forget. We highly recommend Sarah as an officiant! -

Rev. Sarah Gutmann was the most perfect officiant we could have wished for! She was sensitive, fun, easy to communicate with, caring and very professional. She met personally with us and asked us about our courtship, current life and future dreams as a couple. She then wrote the most touching love story that had us and all our guests both in laughter and tears. The ceremony was simply magical. We highly recommend Sarah as a fantastic officiant! -

We just had Sarah perform our wedding ceremony, and we agree that she is truly phenomenal. If you're looking for someone to officiate your wedding, there is no better choice than Sarah. My husband and I were residing in different states during our engagement, and Sarah took the time to arrange a video chat with us, understanding our circumstances and still wanting to offer the same opportunities she would if we were able to meet in person. From the start, she listened to our desires and knew exactly what we were looking for in an officiant. She wrote a personalized story for the two of us, and our guests were able to laugh and cry at different points through the ceremony. Sarah is charismatic, professional, sweet and super kind. We were so happy to have worked with her, and can't say enough about how fantastic she was. Thank you, Sarah! -

Sarah was absolutely amazing. We had our first chat over FaceTime and by the end of the conversation my wife and I instantly felt life we had a connection with her. Sarah is so funny, genuinely cares about making sure your Day is exactly as you want it and was always great about getting back to us. We received so many compliments at our wedding about how fantastic Sarah was. If I had to have my wedding all over again I’d instantly choose Sarah. You are in good hands! -

During our wedding planning, my now husband and I knew we wanted two things out of our ceremony: 1. Not boring, 2. (and most importantly) It needed to feel like "us". We didn't want a generic ceremony that could have been written about any couple. We needed someone who could convey our story in a sincere and beautiful way. And Sarah was absolutely that person. Since we live on the west coast, we skype interviewed our officiants to make sure we had someone who we clicked with. And what was supposed to be a 30-60 min interview turned into a 2+ hour conversation of laughter and emotions. She was just amazing from the start. While I am a very outgoing person and getting my thoughts and feelings is very easy, she was even able to work incredibly well with my introverted husband. She made us feel completely at ease, like a friend we've known for years. She then took everything we talked about and turned it into something we could share with our loved ones. The first time I read through our ceremony, I cried. And on the day of our wedding during our ceremony, I did it again. Most people only get complimented on how beautiful their ceremony was (if they get complimented at all), but so many of our guests told us how touching it was and how much of us was in every detail. She was so wonderful to work with and she is why I will always remember our ceremony as being absolutely perfect! -

Our entire wedding was a dream, but our ceremony was what made our day so special. My husband and I cried when we read our Love Story for the first time. Sarah was incredible to work with from the beginning, our Facetime chat was seriously fun! She was able to capture so much from that 1.5 hour convo. Our guests laughed, cried, but most of all, loved how personal the ceremony was. After we walked down the aisle, I looked at my husband and said "that was so much fun!" I read reviews like crazy before booking Sarah, and they were all true!! She also had us covered when we lost our copy of the marriage license needed for our honeymoon. I would recommend Sarah to anyone looking for an officiant, she truly made our ceremony one we will never forget! -

PERFECT! We had a perfect day for a wedding on the beach, my Bride to be looked perfectly beautiful and Sarah created the most perfect ceremony! I had spoken to two other officiants before speaking with Sarah, immediately I knew Sarah would be our choice for our very special day because of her professionalism and her enthusiasm. Sarah then met with us in person and spend a lot of time hearing our story and getting to know us both while sharing some of her wedding adventures with us. Sarah took our story and our thoughts and turned them into a beautiful wedding ceremony! When grown men are still telling you weeks after the wedding that the party was great but the ceremony was really special, you know Sarah was perfect! -

Sarah Gutmann worked with us right up until the day, and helped put our ceremony together. One of Sarah's colleagues (Sarah M) performed our ceremony on the day and she was amazing! Sarah took notes about how we met and about our relationship, and then created a beautiful love story to share during our ceremony. Every single person who attended my wedding said it was, by far, the best ceremony they ever attended. The guests were engaged, Sarah made them laugh and cry and feel part of it. She made my husband and I feel incredibly comfortable. My biggest issues with weddings are that they are never personal. Sarah really made the ceremony about us as people and I will never forget it. -

Sarah was absolutely amazing at our October 3 ceremony. She constantly communicated with me via email prior to the wedding, and had some great ideas and suggestions. She put together a great "love story" that really fit my husband and my personality & humor. She added in little jokes that she knew that my husband and I would like (since that is what we wanted). She Facetimed with us for awhile prior to the wedding when we booked, and we really enjoyed her personality. She did a great job and even videotaped it for us (since we didn't have a videographer). We hired Sarah for our Wedding on June 21st at the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport. We only had 3 weeks to plan our Special Day as we had very unique circumstances. She is an absolute PLEASURE to work with. She created an unforgettable personalized ceremony for us and included my son in the best way she could. We had a sand ceremony to celebrate our family becoming one, and he sat right up there with us! It was beautiful, and I will never forget any of it. Sarah made it so easy for us to make the perfect ceremony. We met with her before we hired her and I knew right away she would be the one to marry us. Her personality is second to none, and you can tell she is someone who just loves what she does. Keep in mind, I am not one to write reviews on the internet, but I feel compelled to do so for Sarah and for all of the people who helped pull our Wedding together on such short notice, and on a holiday during Wedding season too!!
We were running behind on time since we never had time for a rehearsal and she came right in, gathered everyone up, and got us all moving! We are looking into hiring her again for a Baby Blessing for my first born who is 4 and our second child who is 6 weeks old! :)

We couldn't have asked for a better person to marry us. Sarah was absutely amazing and made our ceremony exactly how we wanted it. She was so easy to work with and was super responsive through email. People are still telling us how beautiful our ceremony was. Sarah provided us with a framework to tailor our ceremony the way we wanted it and we couldn't be happier. When we initially met there were a lot of similarities we found with Sarah, and she was the only person we felt would truly capture our love for each other. My husband and I highly recommend Sarah. I promise she will make your ceremony exactly how you want it! -

Sarah was the officiant of our wedding on 11/29/14 and was absolutely amazing. From the moment we met her she was interested in our story, and our love. She sent us so much information and ideas for our ceremony that we easily created a ceremony that was perfect and represented not only our love but our personalities. I think our favorite part was the love story she wrote for us. We filled out questionnaires separately and sent them to Sarah and then facetimed with her after we sent them. Facetiming was Sarah's idea and saved us a lot of time and stress as we live in NYC and the wedding was on Long Island. She suggested the facetime meeting to which we happily obliged and sat on the couch in our pjs talking about our dream ceremony. A few days before the wedding she sent us the love story that she wrote for our ceremony and after reading it I burst into tears. I looked at my fiancé and said that she couldn't have wrote a more perfect love story. Now a month later and our guests are still raving that it was the best ceremony they have been to because it was so personal, funny and captured the journey that my husband and I have been on for the last few years. Sarah was incredibly easy to work with, and always available to talk, email, facetime which was a very nice change from many of our other vendors. She was so easy to work with and always open to our crazy ideas and suggestions. I would absolutely recommend Sarah to anyone who wants a personal, intimate ceremony and doesn't want to hear the same letter to the Corinthians reading that you hear at every wedding. She has great ideas and is willing to work with you to create the most amazing ceremony you could imagine. -

When my wife and I met Sarah at a wedding expo about 18 months prior to our wedding date.
We both knew instantaneously that she would be the one to marry us!
We met with Sarah a few months later to discuss our wedding day. She took notes and asked us questions on how we met, what it was like, what we are looking for in our ceremony, ect.

We want to publicly to thank Rev. Sarah Gutmann from the bottom of our hearts for the beautiful ceremony she performed for us. The entire night was more than we ever dreamed. It was truly the best night of our lives! Everyone remarked how personal the ceremony was, and several people asked me if I had written the "love story" myself and were shocked when I said no. They couldn't believe Sarah had captured "us" in in just a few phone calls and a meeting.
I knew when I read that Rev. Sarah Gutmann was a special education teacher that I already liked her (I'm one too!), and after meeting her it was confirmed--she was perfect for the job!

Sarah was truly amazing. My husband and I met with Sarah months prior to the wedding, which was great because Sarah really got to know us and our already blended family. This meeting was so important because Sarah was able to build a very personal love story for our ceremony which fit our family perfect. Sarah is awesome! We had planned on having a close friend officiate, but at the last minute he was unable to do so. Sarah responded to our email immediately and set up a chance to meet. She helped us personalize our ceremony and had great resources for vows, etc. She was also great about us including our dogs in the ceremony. The day of she got their super early and was just lovely. I married my best friend on July 20th 2013 in a truly intimate ceremony on the beach. Sarah was our officiant and my husband and I could not ask for more! She put together a better ceremony than we could have ever dreamed up ourselves. It encompassed everything that we are as a couple and as individuals. She stood through the rain without missing a beat(yes we did get showered on at the beach)lol She was supportive, patient, punctual, understanding and above all a real, down-to-earth person. Sarah was amazing to work with. She took the time early on to meet with us for a few hours to talk about our story (how we met, what we love about eachother, etc) as well as our vision for the ceremony. She had a lot of great options. Following this meeting, she made it very easy for us to put together our ceremony and was always very responsive via email or text. In the end, the ceremony turned out beautiful...it was exactly what Brian and I had envisioned. We also had the ceremony videotaped for an additional $50. The only thing we would have liked would have been for the camera to have seen both of our faces (mostly my back and profile and my husbands front), but unfortunately there wasn't a lot of space as it was a backyard wedding. The voice quality though was great and we could hear the entire ceremony perfectly.

Sarah was the officiant for our 10/1/16 wedding and the ceremony was amazing. We interviewed a handful of other officiants before our wedding including Sarah. In the interviews we found the others to be either boring, pompous or kind of rude, or a mix of all three. Sarah was warm and inviting from the beginning, and she was adamant that the ceremony was 100% about us and our love. And that came shining through on our day. Even my mother, who was disappointed we did not get married in a church, said it was the most personal, beautiful ceremony she had ever witnessed.
Sarah was easy to work with and was always available by Skype, phone or email as we don't live on LI. I especially liked her building the ceremony around our "love story" and the flexibility to make the ceremony as religious and spiritual or non-denominational as we wished. She provided a ton of different readings, poems and ideas to include in the ceremony and it was so easy to tweak and tailor it as we wanted.. We also didn't want a long ceremony and tried to keep it under 20 minutes. Despite it being a bit shorter than most, it was not rushed nor did Sarah skimp on "quality."
So many friends and family approached us right afterwards and told us how much they loved the ceremony and how special it was. We have been reliving random moments from the ceremony for the last month, and can't thank Sarah enough for the amazing memories she has given us and our families. We highly recommend Sarah. -

Sarah Gutmann created a thoughtfully customized wedding ceremony for my husband and I for our May 2015 wedding. Together, we met with her a few weeks prior to our wedding, which had been a very small gathering of family and friends for a mid-week civil ceremony and wedding. Sarah is a lovely, genuine, down-to-earth person, and she's very personable and easy to talk with! We appreciated the importance she placed on meeting us and getting to know us. The ceremony she prepared for us was a true reflection of who we are as a couple. Our guests commented on just how sweet and personal our ceremony had been. [As an aside, we are so glad we requested that a microphone be used and that she had the ceremony videotaped so we now can view it and relive our special moment!] -

Rev. Sarah was a terrific officiant for our wedding 7.3.14. Upon first meeting we connected with her ease, likeability, and kindness. Once the wedding got closer she was professional, prompt and clear with correspondence and easily made edits to our ceremony as we requested. Rev. Sarah even had a backup officiant ready in case of emergency due to the fact that she was pregnant at our wedding. This was very much appreciated and set us at ease, although we were very glad we had her for our day. The day of our wedding was a bit of a mess due to our guests being stuck in their shuttle buses in traffic and arriving late to the venue. (I know ;/ as the bride this was extremely stressful and the only thing you CAN'T plan!) Our venue (Swan Club Roslyn, NY) was incredible and prepared to rearrange as needed, but there was still a lot of commotion. Rev. Sarah was cool, calm, and collected as I approached her from my walk down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful, meaningful and we are still getting compliments on it. The vows were honest and genuine and real. I highly recommend Rev. Sarah Gutmann!

Fantastic officiant
Sarah was a fantastic officiant – we had a nondenominational wedding and were looking for someone extremely personable and caring to make our ceremony truly special – Sarah was the perfect person for that job. We booked Sarah about a year prior to our wedding and in our first “meeting”, Sarah facetimed us and asked us all the hard questions. At the time, it felt like a therapy session, but looking back, this allowed her to get to know us on a deeper, personal level. We appreciated this as this made the ceremony more unique and personable rather than just another, cliché ceremony. All of our guests ranted and raved about her, saying it was one of the best, if not the best, ceremonies they’ve witnessed. We were nervous about writing our own vows, but she provided comfort and feedback to each of us on how we should approach our vows and after we had drafted what we wanted to say, she provided feedback and suggestions along the way. She comes loaded with a bunch of suggestions and ideas to make your ceremony more personalized and fun. We highly recommend Sarah! -

Sarah officiated my wedding and she was wonderful! Throughout the entire process she was flexible and worked with our busy schedules, which was great. She was always cheerful and friendly. But most importantly, she worked with us to help give us the ideas to make our wedding customized and our own. I was concerned that, since I was not getting married in a church (I got married outside in my venue), that my ceremony would be missing the spiritual aspect that I really wanted. But this was not the case. Sarah provided so many ideas and I could not be happier with the way it all turned out. It was the beautiful ceremony of my dreams. She was also very patient on my wedding day. I was running late and had children in my ceremony that had some meltdowns. Sarah made everything work, was pleasant and fun. Everyone loved her and my friends are still raving about how it was the most beautiful and heartfelt ceremony they have ever been to. Definitely suggest Sarah!!! -

Sarah was wonderful, she made everything the day of wedding complete despite the time frame to prepare!!!! Would recommend her to all! Ceremony was exactly as planned and a beautiful day to boot!!
She was also very stylish in her beach officiant outfit!!! I loved it!!!!
