We had a wonderful time working with Sarah. We met her at a friend's wedding, and knew she was the person we wanted at ours. In the lead up process, the engagement shoot, and the day of, she was so great to work with and felt like she was an old friend. She got some excellent dance floor photos which was important to us, and captured the joy of our day in her photos. She also helped a lot with timeline and organization of the wedding day. We highly recommend her! -

Sarah was the dream photographer and we feel very lucky we stumbled across her. To start, she covered more ground than two ordinary photographers could. We had contemplated asking Sarah to bring a second photographer, which she was completely comfortable with, but we got the sense she was confident she could cover everything herself (approx 170 guests). Many friends and family members remarked on how she seemed to be everywhere at once, and how friendly she was to interact with. She also arrived to the site earlier than we asked for to scout out locations. She was calm, flexible, and easygoing throughout the day. And ultimately, the pictures tell the tale. She got great coverage of guests' reactions during the ceremony, candid moments of guests throughout the day, in addition to plenty of photos of us. There are too many pictures we love; it's been hard to choose in creating a photo book. -

If you have come across Sarah and are looking for a photographer, look no further. Sarah has unmatched skill, emotional intelligence, and grace. First, her photographs were stunning - she not only made us look and feel beautiful, but she captured the very essence of the day with her work. You look at her photography and feel like you know the people and were really there. A wedding is a crazy day, and Sarah made it feel calm. She mastered taking portraits of our huge family, balanced personalities of all vendors, stuck to timing, all while making us stay in the present moment and actually enjoy the portrait process. She captured every emotion of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and we did not even know she and her team were there - we discovered moments we didn't even know happened at our wedding through the photos! In planning, Sarah was responsive, flexible, and supportive. Hire her and do not look back - she is truly talented, and we are the luckiest to have shared our special weekend with her. -

We worked with Sarah Bode-Clark Photography for our wedding in June 2024 and could not have asked for a better experience! I am so thrilled that Sarah captured our day and would 100% recommend her for anyone looking for an organized, calm, friendly wedding photographer. From our first consultation, Sarah and I clicked - and I knew that she would be a joy to work with. She provided so many resources throughout the wedding planning process, helping us think through how we wanted the day to feel. She really paid attention to the details that were important to us, which I think made our photos so meaningful and a perfect reflection of our perfect day. Our guests were even raving about her - she was able to capture both candid and posed moments and made connections with guests so everyone felt really comfortable. We also did an engagement shoot with Sarah a few months before our wedding which was a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and build a bond with Sarah. She really went above and beyond in every aspect of our wedding. I will treasure these photos for a lifetime, can't wait to frame them all!! -

To say that Sarah is a talented photographer who will capture your wedding day in stunning detail and make you feel at ease while she’s doing it is true – and it’s also a massive understatement. Sarah goes above and beyond in every way imaginable. From the moment we started planning with her, she had tools and resources that helped us sort out not just our photo list, but a whole lot of small details we would not have thought of without her. She is organized, quick to respond, and reminded us from the start that this was going to be FUN.
As someone who freezes in front of a camera, I was amazed at how Sarah’s instructions could dissolve my awkwardness and help me feel like myself. A photo session I’d expected to be a stressful part of the day became the most memorable, because Sarah reminded us to breathe, to take a moment of stillness - and those were the minutes we got, amidst a fast-paced day, to take it all in together.
Rain forced us to move our lakeside wedding inside, and still Sarah managed to find clear pockets of time to get our outdoor portraits – and didn’t hesitate to do whatever it took to get the right shot and the right angle (including venturing out over the lake on a rickety dock!). Even our wedding planner was blown away by Sarah, who kept taking pictures as the rain picked up, her own umbrella cast aside so she could get a full bridal party umbrella shot by the lake.
And when it comes to dance floor photos, Sarah is the queen. She was right in the mix, and got some incredible shots of our favorite people letting loose and having a blast. When we shared our gallery with friends and family, we got to hear rave reviews not just of how great our photos came out, but also how attentive Sarah had been to making sure she captured a great photo of as many of our guests as possible.
Our day and our memories wouldn’t have been the same without her!! -

Sarah is incredible!
5 stars!! Hiring Sarah as our photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding. She was one of the first vendors we hired, and from the moment we met her, put us at ease, and we even became friends as our process went on. She gave us the most incredible recommendations and was a trusted advisor throughout the planning process. She made us feel at ease in front of the camera and even relaxed all of our loved ones, some of whom were very nervous to be photographed. She also was very conscious of our budget and worked with us. Sarah is one of the most beautiful souls and an incredible artist. She’s not only incredible at taking portraits but capturing candids and the energy of the entire event. Our family and friends are blown away by our photos, and these photos will be treasured our whole lives. Thank you Sarah! -

Sarah is incredible. From our first call, she made my partner and I feel at ease - she's friendly, funny, and professional. She also sent regular touch base emails leading up to our wedding both to gather information from us and to share helpful tips, which we really appreciated. On the day of our wedding, both Sarah and her second photographer, Senshi, went above and beyond. They got us laughing, helped us navigate challenging family dynamics with grace, and made the whole process fun. The resulting photos are absolutely stunning! They're the perfect mix of formal portraits and candid photos and they really capture the look and feel of our day. Long story short, we would hire Sarah again in a heartbeat! Ahhhhmazing!
Sarah was in a word, incredible! We booked her in 2019, pre COVID, for what was intended to be a Sept 2020 wedding. We postponed that to be safe, and Sarah was so supportive throughout the whole postponement, I felt like I didn’t know what I’d do without her! She was on the ball and current with everything from project cupid changes, to general questions about how to navigate the wedding industry. I really don’t feel like every photographer has that enthusiastic edge! Once the wedding came around, the day where you’re probably the biggest bundle of nerves of your whole life, Sarah and her partner that day, also Sarah, created such a fun and calming atmosphere for us. All the little things she did to help the process go smooth are too many to mention. You’ll get it when you book her! Our photos came out phenomenal. We are definitely keeping Sarah in mind for any future special occasions. THANK YOU SARAH! -

Hiring Sarah Bode-Clark as our photographer was one of the best choices we made in planning our wedding. When we look through the photographs she took, we are immediately transported back to our wedding day. We will never be able to express the depth of our gratitude for capturing every special moment with such care and attention to detail. Having a photographer that captured candid moments well was extremely important to us, and Sarah exceeded all expectations in that regard. Every photograph is genuine and breathtaking. Sarah was also an absolute joy to work with, was gifted in working with our little niece and nephew (ages two and five), and was completely unobtrusive. Our families and friends cannot stop raving about how wonderful Sarah was, and we could not agree more. We are looking forward to continuing to work with her for every special moment to come! -

Sarah was an incredible addition to our wedding day. She made everything so easy from the minute we hired her through the post-wedding photo album purchase. We hired her initially for our 2020 wedding and when we decided to postpone the party, we even hired her for our intimate ceremony that took place in August 2020.. It was important for us to capture those moments and she did so beautifully. We enjoyed laughing with Sarah and she brought joy and vibrancy to our wedding day party in 2021 as well. We cannot recommend Sarah's demeanor, quality of work and level of communication enough. She was fabulous, easily our favorite vendor! -

SARAH IS THE BEST! I had an engagement shoot and wedding photos by Sarah and I couldn’t be happier. The photos are stunning and perfectly captured the beauty of our wedding day. All of our friends and family were so impressed with the quality and style of the photos.
The best thing about Sarah isn’t her amazing photos, it’s her warm, wonderful and outgoing personality. Taking photos with Sarah feels fun, natural not overwhelming. She was a pro at handling some very last minute location changes on for our engagement shoot. She went above and beyond what is required of a wedding vendor (even offering to do a no contact grocery drop when she heard my husband and I had COVID)!
On a day filled with nerves and excitement Sarah helped to keep us both grounded while taking the best photos ever.
I cannot recommend Sarah enough and look forward or working with her in the future on other photo shoots! -

We found Sarah from photos she took at our wedding venue. We spent hours scouring portfolios and decided to email Sarah because all of her photos were joyful, and made us feel like we knew the people in them a little bit and were happy for them. Our first exchange of emails left us so confident in Sarah - so happy just to have found her - that we booked her out of sheer anxiety at the thought of losing her to another couple on our date, and we never looked back.
We were supposed to get married in May, 2020. We’re obsessively organized, but we’d never done this before. From that first email exchange, through the engagement shoot, through rescheduling and replanning our wedding twice, through the night we were married at our apartment with just our immediate families and best friends on incredibly short notice, Sarah was our guide, resource, and friend. She’s more than our match in organization and readiness, and incredibly generous with her experience and contacts. On the day, she was a steadying presence when needed, invisible when called for, kind and gracious beyond belief. She looked after us, far beyond her obligation, and we cannot thank her enough.
So that’s Sarah.
Sarah’s photos, from our engagement shoot and from our wedding, are no kidding one hundred percent magic. She dropped us a few of them that night, somehow, just to blow us away probably – and the rest just a few weeks later. We look better in them than we have any right to, and more importantly she captured every ounce of the joy of our wedding. We’re biased, but we know we’re right about this because everyone who sees those photos tells the same thing – Sarah got all the emotion, all of the love, from everyone, from every moment.
We’re more grateful than we can say. You should probably hire her, too.

Sarah: the Best photographer & BEST decision you'll make
Having her as our photographer was the best and most important decision we made. She is the key, the rockstar, the nucleus of the whole shebang. She is like having your best friend, maid of honor, sister, wedding planner, and therapist – all there during your big day, guiding you through, and taking fabulous pictures to boot.
Sarah cares and is one of the most generous souls I have ever met. She is kind, but also gets things done. She threads the needle of being joyful, supportive, and firm, perfectly. She keeps everyone both on task and relaxed. She also managed to expertly capture every moment. She was everywhere and nowhere. She was by my side when I needed her, at the center of the dancefloor, but also unobtrusive and discreet. I cannot imagine my wedding without Sarah there. She made our wedding. She will make yours.
If there was a Macarthur genius award for wedding photographers, Sarah should get it!

Working with her before the wedding was a pleasure - walking us through every moment and counseling us with her vast experience. At the wedding, she was somehow ever-present without inserting herself into the events, and with her calm and able demeanor, could coax us both through our various anxieties and share in the excitement of the day! After the wedding, she was able to rapidly turn around the photos and get them to us in both physical media and online, and they were wonderful. I cannot stress enough how incredible Sarah is. The planning process with her was effortless on our part, she walked us through step by step. Day of, Sarah was exactly what I needed for our big day. She was the epitome of cool, calm and collected!! Sarah brought the high stress levels down tremendously. Once we were relaxed, we had the best time laughing non stop! I don’t know how she manages to be so calming but so enthused at the same time! I stubbornly wanted photos outdoors even with a Nov wedding. Sarah didn’t bat an eye when the temperature ended up in the low 40s and she turned an overcast day with drab shrubbery into pure photographic gold! During the whole event, she was in the mix of everything without being intrusive which I loved but a few guest also complimented! We were blown away at all of the emotions that were portrayed in our pictures. She was super quick to share big moment pictures with us right after the wedding and the got the whole gallery quicker than expected! Thank you thank you thank you! -

Sarah was an amazing photographer to work with. Wedding planning can be stressful, but from the day we hired her, Sarah felt like a touchstone. She sent helpful tips and suggestions in the months leading up to our wedding day, and even sent a lovely care package thanking us for hiring her. She went above and beyond before we had even started.
On the day of the wedding, Sarah’s presence was calming. She skillfully directed photos in a way that put me at ease. She took control during the wedding prep in a way that was authoritative without being the least bit intrusive. She helped keep the day structured and organized without interfering with the emotions of the day. During the ceremony and the party, she managed to artfully capture every moment. She seemed to be in multiple places at once, so that she never missed a moment. When we got our pictures back, it was an amazing experience to discover so many new moments that happened amongst our family and friends. The pictures themselves were stunning. In fact, we heard over and over again from friends that they were the best wedding photos anyone had ever seen. She was incredibly generous with how many photos we received and they all arrived in less than a month of the wedding. Hiring Sarah was one of the best decisions we made. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for an incredibly reasonably priced, talented, and kind person to photograph your wedding. -

The process of securing a photographer was more time consuming than we anticipated. We wanted to find someone that would document our day like a photojournalist AND capture the energy of our wedding. Personality and disposition were also important factors for us. We wanted a photographer that was genuinely interested in us as people, instead of just “another job”. We actually interviewed 5 photographers before finding Sarah.
We chose her because her photographs were artistic, insanely creative, and her composition conveyed a whimsical sense of fun while capturing the beauty of the moment. She had a wonderful way of “getting in there” and capturing the most candid moments without being obtrusive.
At our wedding, she brought ALL of this and more. She was patient and diplomatic as she wrangled my Groom-zilla and our bridal team. The weather was iffy and annoying the entire day but Sarah (and her amazing assistant Jenny) managed to work in and around the rain efficiently. SO efficiently! After the ceremony, we posed for receiving line photos with our guests and the rain started to come down. She worked the crowd with such grace while moving everybody along quickly. Imagine photographing 60 people in less than 15 minutes. Gangsta!!
Sarah’s professionalism is second to none. The guests even commented that she was not in their face and seemed to blend into the venue! Whether it was posed or candid, she made sure she got the best picture before moving onto another shot- with speed and accuracy!
I sent an online album of our wedding pictures to the guests and their feedback was so gratifying. Everyone loved how they looked, even while making goofy faces and sweaty from dancing! The posed portraits were elegant and not stuffy but my absolute favorite was definitely all of the candids she took. Those pictures captured the emotionality of that day. I felt as if I was reliving the wedding.
We loved Sarah. You will too!! -

From the first email to the last one with the gallery attached, we were so happy with her professionalism, her upbeat personality, and her extraordinary shots. Not only were the pictures UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL which obviously was our main goal...she was a joy to work with. I have a very specific memory of the chaos of taking the family pictures...there were about 30 of us trying to get in the one shot and the whole family was just chatting away and Sarah really took control of the situation, she knew just what to do---my wife and I were so ready to be done with the pictures and join in the festivities and Sarah made that happen quickly and efficiently...and the picture actually turned out so great! This is just one example of the magic she worked on our wedding day. We could go on and on but the heart of the matter is that Sarah was born to do wedding photography and we couldn't recommend her more.
