Sara did my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as some of my bridesmaids. My bridesmaids looks were all so stunning and she took so much time perfecting my look. I truly appreciated the time she spent with me to capture the look I wanted for wedding day. The end result was stunning! She was also fun to work with and is such a sweet person. Highly recommend!
Hannah was great! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup for the wedding. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she made it happen. She was so much fun to work with and made me feel so comfortable. She also did my mom’s hair and makeup and she also loved it!Sara Elizabeth Artistry's reply:

Sara has always gone above and beyond with all of her services. I have used her numerious times and she never disappoints. Sara is very professional and will make sure to communicate in a timely manner. My wedding day was 01/10/25 and with all the snow here in AL she worked with us through all the chaos to make it on my wedding day when nothing was going as planned. She made not only me, but my whole bridal party feel so beautiful. Her work is outstanding and I could not recommend her and her team enough. She is outstanding!! Words can not adequately describe how incredible my bridal makeup was, so I will let these photos speak for me.
My artist was Madison. Madison was far more than my makeup artist. She was my peace and my fairy godmother.
I asked for fierce, bold, and edgy, but still bridal. She delivered! My makeup was everything I had ever dreamed of, but 10x better.
Madison also did all of my bridesmaids and my mother.
I honestly could not recommend using Madison or Sara more. They are amazing women who empower other women. Every single person who saw my bridal party or myself all agrees that we had the best makeup imaginable.

Wedding Day Makeup
Sara Elizabeth Artistry was amazing to work with! Sara was super communicative and helpful in getting all the details for my day sorted. She was also super flexible with me as I was coming in from out of town and didn't have a lot of time for the trail, etc.
The woman who did my hair and makeup was Hannah and she was so wonderful! She was kind and fun and gave me the exact look I was going for. I appreciated her honesty in telling me what she thought would look best, but then also her understanding when I had a specific vision (specifically with my hair/veil) and wanted to adjust certain things. Overall it was a 10/10 experience and I would recommend Sara, Hannah and their whole team! All of my bridesmaids looked amazing as well.Sara Elizabeth Artistry's reply:

The absolute best there is!!!
I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Sara and her business! From communicating months before hand, two separate trials, and taking extra time the day of, she really cares so much about her craft and her brides. I felt totally at ease and absolutely comfortable during the entire process. She makes her brides feel like they’re getting a million dollar service.
We had a large bridal party, and Sara and her staff made sure everyone left happy, looked amazing, and kept us right on time.

I was interested in Sara’s business because the amount of diversity on her page! You often see people that only seem to cater to a single race — however, Sara’s page was extremely diverse. So amazing! Sara and her team were absolutely incredible! From the very beginning, communication was flawless—Sara was so easy to reach and always listened to my thoughts and ideas. Sara and her team were excellent! I searched my area for hair and makeup and her photos were so impressive I had to see for myself. I loved my results for my trial run and put my deposit down ASAP. She’s the BEST!!
Sara in a nutshell was just the best! From our initial phone meeting, to my trial, to my wedding day! She was very easy to talk to and get along with, when we met in person I felt like I had know her for years. The communication was great with Sara and her contract is very straightforward and easy to understand. There were no out of the ordinary rules or requests in her contract, just normal request from a business owner. Now to her talent… Sara has an eye for makeup and she can do anything you request just from seeing a picture or two and just a few questions. I told her I didn’t want super glam and kind of natural and she did just that! So incredible!
Sara was so incredibly talented! She did hair and makeup for myself and 4 of my bridesmaids on my wedding day. I got married in July in Alabama, and my makeup did not budge a bit throughout the day. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup. All of my bridesmaids looked gorgeous!

Sara was a dream to work with. First of all, her work is amazing. Every time I clicked on a photo during instagram searches because I liked the makeup, it was Sara’s work!! She uses high quality products, helps you figure out how to best prep your skin, and really highlights your favorite features. Also when I asked for a slightly different color, so mixed some up and let me help her decide exactly what I wanted. She’s super easy to communicate with about makeup, PLUS she has such an easy going and calming nature that you won’t feel awkward with her. She’s just an amazing person on top of her artistry, and we’ve even become friends through this! Even my mother in law, who doesn’t like people doing her makeup, felt so relaxed with Sara that she commented on it during the process.
Also, as a curly bride who wanted to wear her natural curls and couldn’t find an image online of what I wanted, Sara achieved what I wanted after I just gestured and vaguely explained it. She gets it!! And I’m super picky, so anyway, definitely choose Sara!Sara Elizabeth Artistry's reply:

Sara is an absolute dream to work with!!! When we met for my trial, I told her I trusted her and let her do her own thing with my makeup. Obviously, she nailed it. I have only ever had my makeup done professionally a handful of times, so you’re always kind of nervous going into it. But when I walked away from my trial, I had never felt better about myself! Come wedding day, I decided to change my hair up from what we did at the trial and she completely understood what look I wanted to do. Sara & her assistant made every single one of my bridesmaids look like movie stars! She is so sweet to work with and is truly an amazing person! Sara and her girls did a FABULOUS job of making my hair/ make up goals for my wedding day come to life. She listened to all of my ideas and truly made me feel beautiful on my big day. On the day of the wedding my bridesmaids (6 girls total), myself, and my mom got our hair and make up done. The girls working alongside Sara were willing to make any adjustments that my bridesmaids requested and were able to do quick touch ups right before everyone got dressed. I loved how she provided us with touch up lipsticks as well to ensure that we had a flawless look all night long. I highly recommend Sara to anyone for hair/make up needs! -

I moved to Mass and planned my wedding in Alabama and Sara was amazing and anytime I needed something she was always there for me! She accommodated me every time I was in the state and needed her time. Day of she made me feel so beautiful and was such a joy to be around. Loved my makeup
I got married on november, in Columbiana Al. She arrived right on time. We contacted her through facebook, I currently live out of town so I couldn’t have a trial, I still loved my look, it was exactly what I wanted, and it lasted all night long, even with all the happy tears. -

Fantastic!
I hired Sara to be the MUA for my wedding in October of 2021, and it was one of the BEST decisions! Sara arrived at the venue early and ready to get down to business! She stayed busy all day, while keeping to schedule and she absolutely nailed our makeup! I cannot say enough good things about Sara. She is super talented, and knows her products extremely well. She knows how to flawlessly execute every makeup trend one could possibly want. She has a wonderful eye for color, respectfully listens to any and all requests while providing helpful suggestions, and she possesses a calm, collected, positive, stress-free attitude while she works. She made me feel gorgeous on my special day. Additionally, she made my girls look and feel drop dead gorgeous! I would highly recommend Sara! -

Fantastic Job!
I used Sara Elizabeth Artistry for my wedding makeup and hair for myself, my bridesmaids, and the mothers. Sara herself was not available but she assisted in organizing hair and make up artists for the day. Every artist did a wonderful job and everyone was pleased with their final looks! It’s already obvious but Sara is amazing at what she does!! Not only that but she saved my wedding LOL! It started out with only a couple girls wanting their hair done to ALL! Instead of simply saying I don’t have the time I’m sorry. She looked at me and said I’ll get it done! And she sure did!! And, I’m sorry but her prices are the best you’ll find! I feel the need to write this review to save future brides from booking with Sara Roper. I never thought I would have such major issues with a vendor until I booked (and fired) Sara. About a year before my wedding, I reached out to her regarding her services and she promptly responded the next day. Shortly thereafter, I sent the deposit over. It was my mistake to not sign a contract before sending the deposit. I realized that I hadn't signed a contract and emailed her asking to send it over to me. On June 4, I sent the deposit. I asked for the contract on June 4 and she said she was on vacation and would send it when she was back home. After a few days, I knew she was back home because I followed her on Instagram and saw her stories of her being back in the Birmingham area. I emailed her again on June 11 and received no response until June 16, when I told her I was feeling very nervous about her lack of communication. She sent over the contract and said, "I promise you I have your back and will make sure you feel zero stress from me moving forward." About a month later, I emailed her on July 13 about a few edits I needed to make to the contract. No response. I emailed again on July 19. No response. I emailed again on July 26. Finally a response on July 30.
At this point, I was already nervous about having her do my wedding makeup because of the slow communication that only happened when I stayed on her about getting back to me. Now we get to the worst part. I emailed her on January 17, 2023 asking to set up my trial. This was 95 days before my wedding. On January 20th, she and I emailed back and forth...92 days before my wedding. She stopped responding at this point. 9 days passed with no response and I decided that I needed to fire her. The consistent lack of communication was too stressful for me and I'd recently found out that this was a trend for Sara. On top of that, I was told that she has shown up late for weddings in the past. I looped in my planner and sent over a message saying that I was aware the deposit was nonrefundable and I wanted to void the rest of the contract in order to hire someone else. This is with 83 days left until my wedding. No response. My planner reached out 2 days later asking Sara to acknowledge the message. Sara responds very apologetically, saying she will work on communication in the future with other clients.
But wait.....there's more. A few hours later, with 81 days left until my wedding, Sara texts me and my planner saying that I actually owe her $1,020 because I cancelled the contract less than 90 days before my wedding (a policy that she claimed was in the contract). I read over my contract and...there's no such policy. I send it over to my planner and Sara, pointing out that there's a policy that says I can't take away services 60 days before the wedding. There wasn't even a policy stating that I owe the full balance within 60 days. Sara then admits she is wrong and that her NEW contract states that. She didn't even bother looking at MY contract before asking for $1,020. The way she conducts business is embarrassing. Choose literally anyone else for hair and makeup. Booking her will result in stress, even though your makeup may look amazing. Know your contracts, ladies and gents!!!
