Fairytale come true!

I would like to start saying that Santi is the most amazing photographer!
My husband and I decided to get married in Mexico. Santi was recommended to me by my hotel venue , Dreams Playa Mujeres. I made the best decision by having him. From the minute I reached out to him, Santi was very professional and quickly responded to all my inquiries. I looked through his expensive photo albums and right away I knew that he is a gifted photographer with an eye for capturing all the feelings and emotions into a single moment. Santi kept in touch with me leading up to the event and event during the events. We had 3 days of events , and he was there all 3 days. When I first met Santi I felt so comfortable with him and knew that we would have a great time taking pictures. His presence put me in easy, it felt like he was a part of the family. He knew exactly the right poses for us to do, he was patient with us. We had 75 people and he was able to get all of us in a shot. Everyone felt so comfortable with him, he took the time with his pictures to make sure that he got the perfect shot. From day one without seeing his picture our guests were already starting to tell us how much they liked him. He also had another person with him Corona who was also great , he was helping me with my dress and making sure everything was flowing. When he received our sneak peak picture I was filled with joy . The pictures turned out to be absolutely incredible, I was speechless and was overwhelmed with joy. We have gotten so many compliments of our pictures , some people were saying that they belong in a magazine. Pictures is something that you will have for a lifetime. Santis work is very special. I can’t thank Santi enough for absolutely beautiful pictures that captured our special day. I can’t recommend Santi enough to all future Cancun brides out there!

Seamless and beautiful

Our experience with Santi and his team was great from the start! He provides clear packages (more affordable than those recommended by the venue), including partnerships with videographers to streamline the booking.

Our day-of experience was wonderful as well. We had photographers for both the bride and groom prep, throughout until the dancefloor. Other than knowing which family photos we wanted, we let Santi and team guide us through our first look, ceremony, and reception. They never interfered with the events, but still got great photos of all the action. Santi was not scared of putting himself in precarious situations to get the best shots!

The pictures are gorgeous, capturing the big and little moments throughout the day. And he was so speedy to turn them around for us! Highly recommend.

Amazing and talented team!

We had the most amazing experience. My Husband and I are not the most comfortable in front of the camera but Santi, Adrian and his team made us feel comfortable and captured the essence of US as a couple and as individuals. They Captured the emotions of our family and friends and helped truly tell our story! They were definitely worth every penny! I couldn't imagine not having them there, the moments they captured were truly amazing. They knew all the right angles and areas in the resort. They even had some "secret spots" lol . You will not be disappointed with Santiago Gabay!

Amazing and Professional!

Santiago was absolutely amazing! We had such an amazing experience with him! We got married at Sandos Caracol and Santiago knew the resort like the back of his hand. He knew all the best spots to take the most beautiful pictures. He was extremely professional, but so much fun! He interacted with our guests, even dancing with one :). He was able to direct the guests in order to get a great group photo.
He took the most beautiful pictures! He really knows how to manipulate the lighting and us as a couple. The best part- he was able to send a sneak peek two days after the wedding and then delivered the entire gallery two days after wedding as well! So amazing. We cannot recommend him enough! If we did it all over again, we would absolutely pick Santiago again!

The best day and photographer

My husband and I loved Santiago, his communication and professionalism was amazing and his presence just makes you so calm and comfortable in front of the camera. The pictures came out amazing. I would definitely recommend him to any brides looking in the Cancun area!

Outstanding photography team!

We used Santiago Gabay Photography for our wedding day and they were absolutely amazing. From start to finish Anel and Jacob were fabulous assisting us and our family/friends to get the best pictures. They felt like part of the family, Anel even took my underskirt off for me when I was far too hot🤭 they fit in perfectly! I’d 100% recommend this team over and over for all the effort they gave. We can't stop looking at our wedding photos!

My relationship with Santi began before the pandemic hit. Unfortunately we were forced to reschedule our wedding twice. Santi was very accommodating and understanding. From the moment planning began, Santi made the process extremely easy for me. He stayed in contact with me all the way up until the moment he arrived at the hotel on our wedding day. The professionalism He and Carla displayed with both my husband and myself is beyond measure. The photos they captured truly showed every emotion and intimate moment on our wedding day. Not to mention our photos were ready when we returned back from Mexico. I will forever be grateful for the captured memories Santi and Carla gave to us.

Amazing photographer and people! Couldn’t be happier!

We were so incredibly happy with the work of Santiago Gabay Photography. Santi and his team were amazing to work with. We were two brides, and our wedding parties got ready in two different rooms. Santi worked in one room, and his partner worked in the other. Both photographers were super easy and fun to have around. They kept to the schedule, and set up our first look perfectly. It was a magical moment, probably one of our favourite of the whole wedding, and it was captured beautifully by Santi and his team. During the cocktail hour, they were efficient in taking our photos on the beach so that we got time to enjoy with our family and friends. For the reception, they again captured the wedding vibes! They took photos of our entire group hitting the dance floor and enjoying the night. We had our reception delayed because of rain and Santi reassured us that he would stay the entire duration of the party, which we really appreciated.

We also were thrilled with how all the photos turned out. Firstly, Santi gave us a sneak peak pretty quickly, and then a few days later we were given the entire collection (and more). He worked very quickly and the photos were amazing.

We cannot recommend Santiago Gabay Photography enough! If you want amazing photos, and to work with great people on your special day, look no further!

I have used Santiago and his team for 3 different sessions. 2 family sessions and 1 wedding session. Each time I have absolutely loved our photos! He is always very responsive, professional and the photos turn out amazing! The most gorgeous photos!

Our photos turned out amazing!! We are so happy with the service that we received from Santiago Gabay Photography! We came all the way from Michigan to take these photos for our engagement. Absolutely amazing photos and an overall wonderful experience!

Santi and Corona took the most amazing pictures at our wedding in March! We did it at the Dreams Playa Mujeres Resort in Mexico. The entire experience from start to finish was great. All of the guests loved them, and I got a bunch of comments from people like, "the photographers seem like they're everywhere!" They really captured every moment perfectly.

We received our photos surprisingly quickly after the wedding and honestly just couldn't be happier. I would recommend them with complete confidence and absolutely no hesitation.

Santi and his team were everything and more!

Hiring a photographer in a different country can be very concerning. When my wife told me to send payment to somebody, I was hesitant. When Santi reached out to me and had a thirty minute conversation about our wedding over a year away, I went from concerned to excited! Throughout the year leading up to our wedding, he reached out and asked us questions, and we were able to ask him several things as well. He was one of the highlights of our wedding. Thank you for being so helpful, laidback and great at what you do!

Great but wish things were done a little differently

Amazing service, however, I wish we had gotten A LOT more direction from the photographer and videographer. We had no idea what to do in regards to posing etc, and they didn’t offer many ideas. Overall it was ok, but I wish things were done differently.

Santiago Gabay Photography for Rutz/Gutierrez Wedding

I did a LOT of research on photography and videography companies for the Cancun area prior to our wedding. We wanted a photo/video package with 2 photographers and 2 videographers. He helped us get this with his team and Dreamcatcher Film. We stayed at Dreams Playa Mujeres and got married on the beach there. I found Santi's gallery and past wedding photos and immediately fell in love with his style and colors in his photos. The beach photos were breathtaking and my dream photos! He is super responsive, we messaged frequently prior to me picking a package, and we even did a FaceTime to discuss our vision and timing for everything for our big day. I even asked him general Mexico questions frequently because my wedding coordinator could not email me about anything until the week of; he was super helpful. He provided us the option to pay the photo deposit online and wire the rest of the payment a week before to avoid huge fees in Mexico (multiple payment methods available though). We had to pay the videographers in cash. On the wedding day, we already felt like we'd known Santi forever since we talked so much before, lol. He's so easy to work with and will make your wedding photo dreams come true. Him and his team were great, and WE LOVE OUR PHOTOS!!! Obsessed. You definitely get what you pay for and more. They didn't skip a beat with capturing every moment of our pre-wedding, ceremony, family/friend photos, and reception, we had the times scheduled out almost perfectly. We didn't have enough time to capture a "first touch" but that was our fault, getting ready took longer than we thought. Within a day we had over 50 sneak peak edited photos tagged on our facebook's that we could share, and in a couple more days we had 588 photos in an online gallery to share with anyone we want. You get them all and in a super timely fashion. The photos are easy to download and print, with and without watermark. We strongly recommend Santiago Gabay Photography if you're getting married in or around the Cancun area, him and his team capture weddings at multiple resorts. 10/10!!!

The best photographer

I hired Santi, because I didn't like the style of my resort's photography. I am SO glad that I did. I was on the fence due to the vendor fee at my resort, but it was worth every penny and more. Not only is Santi's work incredible, he is very sweet and easy to work with. I added video at the last minute, and he was able to accommodate my request. I would recommend Santi to anyone, and I am looking forward to working with him in the future for anniversary photos. Highly recommend!!

BEST Photographer!

I was picky when it came to selecting a wedding photographer for my wedding in Cancun and am SO happy I went with Santiago and his team! I am Obsessed with all the photos, they were better than I ever expected, and I have received sooo many compliments.
Santiago is very accessible, prompt, and has an eye for capturing the moment. We had Albanian traditions during the wedding and I am so glad they were all captured with great detail. I will always treasure these photos!

Best Professional Photos I’ve Ever Gotten

My husband and I did a one hour portrait session, and we had the best experience. Santiago was very helpful and responsive from the time I inquired about his packages. We ended up doing the shoot with Karlien, who is unbelievably talented and so fun. Santiago and Karlien were both very personable and flexible. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful, and we waited only one day for our full portfolio which included many photos. I cannot recommend Santiago Gabay Photography enough!

Great pictures!

I contacted Santi through Yelp, after searching for photographers in the Cancun area. He was quick to respond, and very helpful. He set me up with one of his photographers, Angie. Angie, also contacted me the same day I paid the retainer, and kept in contact with me until we met for the pics. Santi also suggested 2 different sites, of which I picked Xcalacoco beach. The day of the shoot, we were late due to road construction. Angie waited for us, and immediately put us at ease once we arrived. She was very patient with us, which included a 2 year old, throughout the whole shoot. Overall, my wife, boy, and I, had an excellent experience with Angie. The photographs turned out amazing. The customer service was top notch. And the price point was more than fair. I would recommend Santi, and Angie, to anyone wanting/needing professional photography.

Absolute perfection and professionalism!

I am the groom and I was tasked with finding a photographer for our special day. I did a lot of research online and kept coming back to Santiago and thank god we made the decision to hire him and his crew for our special day. If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding I want to quickly tell you to book Santi and pay the minimal extra money to have him there also, to say he is amazing is an understatement. If you couldn’t tell by now I along with our entire wedding group of almost 50 were blown away with Santi and his crew.

Let me start by telling you how nervous my now beautiful wife and I were to hire a photographer in Mexico and pay money of any sort just because all of the horror stories out there. We are from the Midwest in Missouri USA. I want to tell you the big reason not choosing resort photographers was due to my fiancé at the time telling me she wanted to do a trash the dress session. ( I had no clue what she was talking about lol). She told me what it was and I thought it was a dumb idea to be honest upfront. Pay all of this money for our cloths mainly her dress to trash it? Crazy right? No dead wrong we have had thousands and thousands of comments of people blown away by our under water pictures in wedding attire. Yes that’s right we were able to go to a cenote and Santi and his assistant captured the most incredible pictures we have ever seen.

We did photography for 8 hours 2 photographs and 4 hours of video and he brought 2 videographers. It was absolutely perfect and necessary to capture our wedding. It seems a little expensive at first I will admit that, and we do not have a huge budget. I will tell you don’t hesitate hire Santi. He communicated with us better than our own resort and travel agency. Yes our wedding was in the middle of this epidemic but Santi was prompt with answers to questions. I can not say enough great things about him.

I could write a novel on Santi and his crew, he gave us surprise sneak peaks like 10 pictures the day after our wedding to share w our guests while we were all together at the resort and again after our trash the dress two days after our wedding. I recommend you do a minimal 8 hours of photography and minimal 4 hours of video, only thing we would have changes is changed to 6 hour video would have been perfect but we got everything we wanted a little more video would have been even just a little more epic.

Santi was friendly, communication was incredible, dependable above and beyond. They helped our wedding flow and I feel like he could just run the whole wedding. We got married at Dreams Playa Mujeres and it was beautiful but it could not have been captured by anyone as well as Santi and his team. The ease of payment was great, we felt like Santi was our tour guide and he made sure we were safe the day of our trash the dress when we went off resort two hours south in our rental car to get to the cenote was a little nerve racking but I would do it time and time again. If you are questioning it at all just do it I promise you will not regret it.

I am the groom and yes I set this all up and I hear that is rare but I’ll tell ya ladies or men if you are getting married anywhere in Mexico that Santi will go, hire him. He will capture your wedding or special occasion beyond your expectations. We have been back about 1 month now and we still talk about our wedding every day and look at the over 800 pictures and watch our two videos one is an hour long and the other 10 minutes and we can not stop watching them.

I will end this even tho I could go on. Remember you get what you pay for and this, photography and videography is the most important part hands down to not cheap out on for your wedding so book with Santi you will not be disappointed. If you are from the USA or anywhere in the world I can’t say enough about Santi and his crew, Claudia was the video lead and was just amazing as well, she put songs we wanted, added and took away a few things until we were perfectly satisfied. Santi has only the best working with him. Just remember these guys that you hire from the resorts work for the resorts , when you hire photographers on your own they work for you and that is as simple as I can put the importance to hire people that are truly passionate about capturing your special event and not just there to get a paycheck from the resort.

Santi if you read this review, we cherish our friendship we have established with you my friend and thank you and your team from the bottom of our hearts for capturing our Epic wedding and trash the dress perfectly for us, we will never forget you and can not wait to see you soon in Mexico for a beer.

Wedding photos and video

I am so happy that I chose Santiago for our photography and videography needs for our wedding. I booked with him over a year in advance and he was amazing with communication. Always keeping in touch and checking in to see my photography wants/needs for our wedding day. On our wedding day - he and his team showed up on schedule and they were amazing to work with. Santiago and his team surely know what they are doing!!! He even stayed later than planned because we decided to end the night off by jumping in the pool! My video brought us both to tears and it was more than I expected. I am beyond happy I chose Santiago and his team and can not thank them enough!!!!

Santi is the best!

When planning a destination wedding, there is ONE very important vendor that (in my opinion), you shouldn't rely upon the resort for and it is photography and videography. (You simply don't know who will show up on your wedding day if you book thru the resort). I searched long and hard for reputable, independent photographers in Cancun and Santi was by far the most responsive that I came across. Since photography was more important than food and flowers to me, he handled every concern that I had and my pictures came out AMAZING. Best photography team in Mexico!!!

We paid for 6 hours of photography and videography, we had 2 photographers and 2 videographers which was Santiago Gabay Photography and his team. We've heard such nice things about them and they did an exceptional job! They were all so nice and dedicated to their work as well as very fun yet professional. I highly recommend paying for Santiago, he is worth the extra cost, just his personality speaks volumes! Also, they are so considerate, depending on the package you chose they will waive the resort fee which is a sweet deal! We just got out photos and we are so pleased. I am looking forward to receiving our highlight video and long video! Best crew ever! Santiago is extremely familiar with this resort (Sandos Caracol Eco Resort) and brought me to places that I forgot the day of the wedding such as the cenote and also made sure to take photos with my veil flying in the wind of the beach (which are two must have pictures that I wanted and I completely forgot about the day of the wedding, so happy he brought it up as I now don't have any regrets)! They arrived early to set up and ensure to stay the entire time if not longer!

A dream come true

When I became engaged and we made the decision to have a wedding in Cancun, I set out on a daunting task to look for the right photographer to shoot our dream destination wedding. I came across Santiago Gabay Photography from a reccomendation from a friend who attended a previous destination wedding and who had seen what a skilled photograher he was. From the minute I reached out to him, Santi was very professional and quickly responded to all my inquiries. A browse through his extensive galleries also convinced me right away that he is a gifted photographer with an eye for capturing on camera all the feelings and emotions into a single moment. On my wedding day, I met Santi for the first time and right away I felt at ease in his presence. He knew exactly the right poses for us to do and although we only hired him for 4 hours, he was able to take so many amazing shots in such a relatively small time frame. Our pictures turned out gorgeous and I cannot reccommend Santi enough to all future Cancun brides out there!

Makes visions into fairytale reality

I recently had a symbolic ceremony in the Riviera Maya ( Sandos Caracol Eco Resort ). Months before hand I was looking at photographers in the area, and came across Santiago. I saw his beautiful photo galleries, and glad I did! From the moment I emailed and inquired about his services, till the time we met face to face almost 6 months later, was beyond excellent. He was friendly, patient, and kind throughout entire corespondents. And day of wedding, he was an absolute delight! Very jovial, funny, and made everyone feel very at ease. And the pictures.... beyond mastery! This man knows how to capture the importance and playfulness of each special moment right as it’s happening. Best experience ever

Santi did far more than I could ever imagine with my beach wedding. He made sure every part of my day was absolutely seamless and smooth. From the moment I reached out to him, he was extremely quick in responding and always informed me thoroughly. He made sure all of my questions were answered and that I had no concerns. Once wedding day rolled around, he was extremely calm and got SO MANY amazing pictures. I cannot rave about his work enough, I'm still not sure how he got so many great shots in the time that he did, but I am beyond pleased. HIGHLY recommend Santi!!!

Great to work with!

We contacted Santi to arrange a family photo session during our vacation in the Cancun area. He was very responsive and all pre-session details (date, time location, questionnaire, etc.) were handled very professionally. Karlien conducted our photo shoot. She arrived to the prearranged location at Playa Delfines on time and was very friendly and personable. She has a real talent for arranging the shots to make us look great (despite it being a windy day). We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend contacting Santi if you are in need of a photographer for a wedding or any other occasion.

I am blown away!

My experience with Santiago Gabay photography was amazing. The two photographers I had the wonderful privilege of meeting were Santiago and Sam, both very professional and skilled photographers. The photos I received were complimented extremely by all my family and friends. I included them in the review so that all could see their jaw dropping work. After a mix up with my airport, Santiago accommodated to my last minute rescheduling requests after my baggage was delayed and also when there was wind. Amazing! You will not be disappointed!

I am so thankful we went with Santiago! Prior to the wedding, all communication with him was thorough and timely. I like how he had us share our story with him so he had a better understanding of the couple he is photographing. On the day of the wedding, he started snapping pictures from the minute he arrived. My hair and makeup were running behind so there was little time for before but he made the most of it and got some great shots of me while his associate cover my wife and her family and bridal party. He is very familiar with the resort we stayed at (Sandos Eco Caracol) so we let him shoot where ever he felt best and we were not disappointed. The property is beautiful but I never imagined he would get as many amazing photos as he did. The drone shots were beyond beautiful and so different than anything I have seen. What I really liked about his work is while yes he got all the traditional wedding shot, he was very creative in the poses and pictures he took. Through out the entire day/night he and his associate were so friendly, made us laugh, and didn’t miss a beat. We just received our photos and we so happy with how everything thing turned out- he really capture not only the day but who we are as a couple.

SOO in love with our wedding photos!

I worked with Santiago's team for my wedding, and Gonzalo and Abi were incredible photographers, and Claudia was an amazing videographer! I sent Santiago my budget and he was able to work with me to create an amazing experience and we captured every important moment!! The turn around for the photo editing was extremely fast, 2 weeks for teaser photos and 1.5 months for all the photos! Santiago was very professional to deal with when booking his services, he is so warm and kind as well and made me feel so comfortable even just through email! I HIGHLY recommend working with Santiago, you won't be disappointed!!! Everything turned out perfect.

Just amazing!!

Where to start!! Santiago is so incredible at his work! We hired him from England for our Mexico wedding in March 2019. I was unsure what to expect but I was always somewhat confident from reading reviews and viewing his work prior to our wedding that it was going to be ok. And I can honestly say now post wedding, it was more than ok- Santiago's photography is out of this world. We had a few ideas for photos but Santiago had even more, he has a great eye for a beautiful photo and setting. He is so easy to work with and allows you to get what you want out of the day also his professional view. Fantastic, timely, reliable and friendly photographer!

Santi and his additional photographer were fantastic! They went above and beyond to capture our day. We got married at Dreams Playa Mujeres. He was easy to communicate with via email before the day and arrived on time, maybe even slightly ahead of schedule! He was familiar with the hotel and picked perfect places to capture my dress, and our first look. He knew private areas for us to have moments and paid very close attention to people walking past to make sure they weren't captured in our photos. He communicated with our wedding planner and made all the transitions to getting ready pictures - to first look - to ceremony easy for me. I had no worries! He worked perfectly with the sun going down and noticed when we were struggling with the sun in our eyes and moved us to a better spot. He watched for shadowing as well. He really captured the spirit of our guest and us as a couple. He bonded with our guest and everyone raved about how great Santi was! He felt like a friend by the end of the night. We hope to use him again for a more family photos :)

Cancun wedding

We used Santiago and his partner Isidro Corona to capture our wedding day.

We have not long returned home from our wedding in Cancun and it had taken around 4-5 weeks to receive all of our photos of our wedding!
We absolutely love all the photos - they are incredible!! You have serious talent and we were so excited to see them all and re-live what was the best day of our lives. We are over the moon with them.
Thank you for going above and beyond on our wedding day. You both were so relaxed, fun and friendly, making us feel very comfortable posing for photos! It was such a laugh and pleasure to work with you. We LOVE the horse and carriage shots and of course the veil photos looks amazing! We really appreciate the time and energy you put in from getting ready to the ceremony to the reception you both captured some great dancing shots as well as us all necking back tequila shot!

What an incredible experience we had with Santiago! Im from California and was in search for a photographer since we were getting married in Isla Mujeres. I did some research and Santiago kept coming up in my searches and every time he always had 5 start reviews. I now understand why! I contacted him for some information and asked if he was willing to go to Isla Mujeres and he said of course! I was so happy because i really liked all his work and really wanted him as our photographer. You might keep seeing on all his reviews about how great his communication is, let me tell you that is also very true. He was always quick to answer all our questions. From start to finish he worked so hard capturing all the important moments. Very professional and laid back. All of our family and friends really enjoyed his company. I'm not huge on five star reviews because there's always room for improvement... or is there? Santiago definitely deserves every star. He was highly recommended by a large number of brides on a Facebook group I joined and now I know why. If you've already communicated with him, you've realized immediately how friendly and open he is. His coverage options are flexible, depending on what you're looking for, and I always felt very accommodated. Unlike most brides, photography was not important to me - or so I thought. I gave very little direction to Santiago up front, other than asking him for a couple of specific family photos. Sure, this allowed him to use his creativity to the fullest but it also placed a lot of responsibility on him. I also wasn't the most engaged bride during the session and kept getting distracted, but he was unwaveringly patient. His energy and enthusiasm even managed to pull it out of me, too. From the moment I met Santiago, I was drawn to his calming, cheerful demeanor and it was constant all day. I received my photos within a few weeks of my wedding and I was amazed with his work. He captured so many candid moments that I didn't even realize how deeply I'd cherish. Suddenly, my wedding photos meant something to me. He has an uncanny talent and ability to translate moments into memories. I chose him based on his reputation and I'll continue to recommend him based on my experience.

We hired Santi for our wedding at Secrets Capri in May 2018. To say that we were happy with the result would be an understatement - we are in LOVE with the results. If you haven't yet booked your wedding photographer, look no further, and book this man! This was by far the best decision we made regarding our wedding. We researched for hours, and picked Santi as our wedding photographer for our February 2018 wedding at The Grand Sirenis. Our resort offered a photography package, however that meant we would be allocated a photographer based on who was working that day, and we wouldn't know who it was beforehand. It was important to us to not only know who our photographer would be, but speak to them and share some ideas before our wedding. We loved Santi's portfolio, and his communication was amazing from day one. On our wedding day he blended in well and became a member of our family. Our guests loved him as much as we did, and our only regret is that we didn't get him to stay for the entire party! We had a TTD in a private cenote 2 days after our wedding, and no - it didn't trash my dress, it was cleaner than it was before getting into the water. For those of you considering a TTD, do it, we are so happy we added this to our package. It was hard to limit myself to only 10 pictures to share with you, as we have so many amazing pictures to choose from. Photographs will become your memories of your wedding day for generations to come, they are very important to get right. I am so happy we picked Santi to capture our big day, and I would highly recommend him.

Wow! Where do I begin? From the moment I first spoke with Santiago I knew there was something different about him. This was a man who wasn't just someone who took pictures. This man is a true photographer. He is passionate and kind and I get a strong feeling that his clients happiness is more important to him then the paycheque at the end of the day. His communication is top notch, couldn't be better. I put my trust in him and did not once regret it. A lot of the decisions we had to make for our destination wedding were SOO difficult. Choosing our photographer was not! I knew as soon as I started to research I wanted Santiago Gabay Photography to capture our special day. I was so relieved to have him there. I knew exactly what I was getting, he was so knowledgeable with my resort, I didn’t have to worry. I’m not always comfortable with people right away but Santiago didn’t allow that to happen, he and his team came into my rowdy bridal suite full of 9 women and into my Husbands room with 12 guys and they just made us all feel so comfortable and got right to work. We had fun the whole time. I was nervous how they were going to manage 40 excited New Yorkers but they did it. I felt like the whole team were guests at our wedding, they’re all so friendly and happy. They work so hard, climbing in and out of bushes and fountains to get our perfect pictures. Our sneak peak was ready less than 24 hours later, and we have our pictures back in RECORD timing. Our pictures are incredible. The night went so quick I can’t believe they had time to capture all these special little moments. What felt like a quick second for us at the time, Santiago turned into forever memories for us. We cannot thank Santi enough for his first class, professional and friendly service he provided for our wedding photography. We hired Santigo three weeks before our wedding, after letting go of our hotel photographer for our destination wedding. They were so hard to deal with beforehand that we just couldn’t imagine working with them on the day of. Santigo Gabay came highly recommended by past brides in a private facebook group for our hotel that I was a member of. We looked at his gallery and fell in love with his photos. It was obvious right away in our communications we weren’t just another paycheck for him. He cared about his clients and their wedding day! When we started the initial communication, Santiago was on holidays in another country. He was aware of the urgency of the situation (being just 3 weeks away) and emailed back and forth multiple times in discussion, sending us all information & getting our booking details completed before he even let me know he was on holidays! We felt so bad, but at the same time it just validated our choice, we knew he was the right decision!

We chatted via email multiple times up to the day, discussing our vision and timelines. The day of the wedding was fabulous! Our guests all commented on how impressed they were that Santiago & Jorge went around during the reception making sure to get photos of all of our guests. We just received our photos yesterday (all 500+ of them!) and we LOVE them so much! He captured our day beautifully and we are incredibly happy that we found him and decided to switch! Santi was incredibly professional. He took the time to meet with us before the big day to guage our needs and wants. He then put together a plan that fit our desires and price point. On the day of he was a professional, calming, influence. He is also just a hell of a good guy.

Then after the big day he was incredibly speedy in getting us a portion of our shots to look at, and then full delivery far far sooner than we would have expected.

Really cannot recommend Santi enough. The quality of his work speaks for itself, and the quality of the man makes for an incredibly enjoyable experience.

Santi, is one AMAZING photographer!! I am glad that we got the opportunity to shoot with him and getting to know him as well.This was our first photoshoot ever and we wanted to get beautiful pictures for our 3rd wedding anniversary, which we we did :). He was easy to approach and very fast in replying about any queries we had.He made us feel super comfortable and of course guided us in all our poses.
It was fun working with him on the windy beach of Playa Mujeres.
All the pictures are amazingly beautiful and natural and we loved them alot. I will surely recommend him to anyone looking for a photoshoot in Cancun, he is the best :).

What an incredible experience. Our Photography was done by Santiago Gabay photography. We chose to hire him instead of using the resort photography (Paradisus Cancun) because of the price difference (significant savings). We received our photos weeks ago and they are fantastic. The quality is perfect. He was very professional, even with his communication with us overseas, to arriving at the hotel, the photoshoot, and post photoshoot communication. Top marks. He was very patient with us even though my family was 30 minutes late and my son kept crying during most of the photoshoot (tip of the day make sure all kids have eaten prior and have something to drink during the photoshoot). We are very pleased with his work and it was the best decision we made. We have already referred him to our friends for their wedding next year.

I highly recommend Santiago for all you photography needs! He is professional and amazing at putting everyone at ease. I have 3 older children who are not always eager for pictures. My husband took our first big vacation (honeymoon actually) in May, and I thought it would be a great idea to take professional pictures while we were in Cancun, you know to capture the memories. :) Once I emailed Santi, he was very responsive and friendly. His prices were great for the session we choose and the best part was, he made us feel incredibly comfortable while we were there! He was better than our wedding photographer. No Question, This Gentleman Is The One To Pick!!!! Santiago went out of his way to make our event a memorable one. He went "off the clock" with us into town to help translate and make us feel more comfortable by having a local with us. Santiago shot our destination wedding in Rivera Maya. We were very lucky to get him. He did an excellent job capturing all the important moments of the day. He is incredibly professional and talented. His calm patient demeanor made taking photos easy. I was nervous that we were going to get rained out there was approaching storm but he was able to get every outdoor shot in before the rain came. He did an excellent job with the low lighting inside the for the reception as well. I would recommend him to anyone!

Pick a beach out in Mexico, fly out from the UK with some family and close friends, have a week to prepare to get married, and then have someone you have no idea about to capture the one off special day you hope to have...

When you first meet a photographer, and when you see how he conducts himself throughout the process, Santiago has a persona that instantly warms to you and all around him. What is finally produced, and not to mention with how he conducts himself within this challenging environment, is something that is quite simply outstanding.

For me, this is what makes Santiago Gabay MORE than an extremely talented and gifted individual indeed.

The work he produces is not just about having the eye and the reflex to capture the atmosphere in an instant, it is all about the communication, direction and not to mention the technical elements of post process also. The images he produces reflect many different styles, but when he puts it all together, it is quite simply stunning and of the highest quality. Produce one image, it gives you a picture, assemble many in the way he has created, it tells the story..!!

Because of how I could see the work was being conducted and even without seeing the end results, I turned the DSLR on Santiago and asked him to step in with my Wife and close friends with the sea in situ behind...'CLICK" Santiago was a tad surprised and unsure with the request, but little did he know, that I wanted him to also be in our wedding album, as for me, nobody recognizes the photographer who captures THAT day, and now Santiago sits there in our album with us, so when people ask who he is?...."This is the guy that captured our day, and produced the material to match the event itself......." Professional 'RESPECT..!!' was also captured.

So much so, we are still friends to this very day..!!

So on that note, I have only two words that I need to say........"BOOK HIM..!!!!"

We were fortunate enough to receive the services of Santiago on our 2nd trip to Mexico. Having had previous family beach photo shoots we had received some fantastic photos. Santiago's pictures however caught the moments like no other photographer had ever done before. With this in mind we made sure that his services were booked immediately for our wedding back in Mexico the following year.

As an individual that hates having pictures taken I probably wasn't the easiest person to photograph but Santiago amazed us once again with his exceptional skills and managed to produce the best pictures ever from our event. Props were provided for some of the shots at my request and nothing was impossible with Santiago behind the camera. His patience is incredible and even manages to get smiles from the awkward teenagers of the party who simply hate posing.

We usually don't like to use the same photographer twice as its nice to get different styles but nobody we've tried can compete with his friendliness, helpfulness and ability to catch the light perfectly in every shot. We tried an alternative photographer last year and whilst the pictures were nice we still came home disappointed as they simply weren't that little bit extra special like all that we receive from Santiagos shoots. We are returning to Mexico this August for our 4th trip and are already making arrangements to secure Santiago's services once again. As a family we simply cannot recommend him enough. For the first time in life I think I'm actually looking forward to our annual family photo shoot.

Santiago is very gifted and the perfect photographer. Always looking for the best photo opportunities and easy to get along with. It was easy to trust that he would get great shots because he exuded confidence that only comes from experience and passion. I cannot say enough good things about him to express my gratitude.

My husband and I really wanted to do the trash the dress shoot but didnt know if we had the time to do so. Santiago was so accomodating and did the shoot on the day we were flying back home. That was a little nerve racking but he assured us that he would have us back to the hotel in enough time to catch our flight. We are So extremely glad we did it because the shots were so unique and once in a lifetime.

He is punctual, patient, and professional. He has an amazing eye for gorgeous shot and was so dedicated to getting the perfect shot staying in the cold water until we got a good shot. He was also extremely personable, so easy to work with and a lot of fun to pose for.

Choosing Santiago Gabay as our destination wedding photographer was a chance we took that made us feel like we won the lottery. Residing in Chicago, my husband and I were unfamiliar with the service levels of the various vendors that were available to us for our beach wedding in Mexico. After choosing Santiago Gabay, all of our photography expectations and desires were met and exceeded, and we were convinced he was a godsend to say the least!
Santiago was eager to learn our vision for our wedding, something other vendors we considered, didn't even ask about. It was imperative the photography reflected the personalities and energy of my husband and I, and our large wedding party. We wanted candid, real, fun shots, without the entire focus being on "standard posed Pinterest" photos all too many of my friends had in their albums. Santiago understood our request and took the time to take a large quantity of photos over the amount included in our package to make sure we received what we were looking for.
Out of everyone's control, we were faced with rain on our wedding day. Santiago however took control, improvising, creating an amazing indoor photo shoot that resulted in some of my favorite, unexpected photos. Luckily the weather cleared up for the reception, where Santiago captured the upbeat, fun, mood of the wedding, full raw expressions that illustrated the feelings of the special night. When I look back at my photos, I feel the exact emotions I felt on that beautiful, incredibly fun night, everything a bride should want from her photography package.
We also opted to hire Santiago for our wreck the dress photoshoot, which to this day, sparks conversations from all our friends and family. The underwater photos are so perfect, they almost appear photoshopped, all because of the creativity and hardwork of Santiago Gabay. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Santiago Gabay to any bride and groom and am so fortunate to have received his services for my wedding.

Santiago was AMAZING to work with! First from the beginning, when I found him online and wanted to book him to take photos of my husband and I while we were vacationing in Cancun area. He was very responsive, answer all questions and made me feel secure that he would be there for us. The day of the shoot he met us at a pier. Was super professional and always had us moving a posing and never left us standing there with nothing to do. After the pier shoot, we got in HIS car and he drove us to a beautiful beach area were the waves were crashing up on the rocks, totally beautiful. We took more photos there, he then drove us back to our resorts so we didn't have to get a taxi (resort was only about 2 miles away). Photos came back quick and we LOVED them. Ended up purchasing I think pretty much all of them. CHOOSE SANTI! You will not be let down.

We couldn't recommend Santiago enough. From the beginning his communication was prompt, professional (from the UK to Mexico) and friendly and this didn't change throughout our journey. On the big day Santiago gave his professional advice to make sure the pictures he took gave us our desired look. I can't begin to explain how grateful and blessed we were to have Santiago as our wedding photographer. He is amazingly gifted, talented and a wonderful person. In my opinion, I have yet to see a wedding album filled with more amazing and heartfelt pictures. His attention to detail and ability to quickly understand our personalities enabled him to provide us with pictures beyond what we could have ever imagined. We had a blast on our wedding day taking photos with him!!!! He was so much fun to work with that it was one of the most enjoyable parts of our wedding memories. We have at least a dozen of the photos he had taken throughout our house. We have one particular photo that he took at the bottom of our steps that I see each morning that makes me appreciate what a beautiful wife I am blessed to have. Santiago is the total package: he has a great artistic eye, is willing to go above and beyond for the best shots, is excellent at coaching his subjects, and is incredibly professional. Santi photographed our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and Trash the Dress session and we couldn't have been more pleased. I feel he really took the time to get to know my and husband and I and to feed off the energy of our wedding guests. We have absolutely lovely shots of our wedding that I will treasure forever.

In my opinion, if you really want to see Santi at his best you MUST do a Trash the Dress session with him. Away from the formal and traditional confines of a wedding, he becomes an absolute artist and he is so much fun! In a week full of fun, the TTD session stands out as the best time and most fun. And of course the images of us underwater in our wedding wear are absolutely breathtaking :-)

Santiago was great to work with. He had many ideas for great shots and took as any photos as we wanted. He did not rush, he got into the water for better shots, and made sure we were happy with what he was shooting. Our photos were available quickly and we loved them.

Santiago was such a pleasure to work with. He's professional, friendly, and an absolutely amazing photographer. Being not familiar with the area and on our honeymoon, he provided transportation and selected an absolutely beautiful location for our Trash the Dress session. He made us feel comfortable and we had a great time! Absolutely great service and quick turnaround time too.

Santiago was a wonderful underwater photographer. He was referred to us by my friend who also hired him as a wedding photographer. He was a patient and knowledgable professional who takes his time when taking my underwater photos. Not once I felt rushed at all. He made me felt comfortable with him when we were under water and taking photos.

I was so lucky to have Santiago shooting our wedding day back in June 11, 2015.
We got married at a private garden right next to La Isla in Cancun, he was always responsive to all my 100 emails and that day he arrived early and did great pics of me getting ready with my mom, the ceremony and reception pictures are all great. He really took everything we wanted and more. I have cried a couple of times watching our pics. I have nothing but great things to say about his job and Im looking forward to hire him again when the family gets big for a family session in Cancun.

I am a very selective person when it comes to my photos being done! I was nervous as it was a destination resort we were having our honeymoon photos taken. Santi, answered every question I had before we arrived and on a timely manor! My husband does not like his photos taken and Santi made him feel very comfortable and to my surprise, my husband said he enjoyed our photo session with Santi! He made us feel like we weren't even having our photos done and they all look so natural and beautiful! He exceeded our expectations and We would have him do it all over again the same way!! We enjoy all of our photos every day!! I can't say enough about him as a person and a photographer!
