When we began our wedding planning journey, we knew right away that we wanted Santa Cruz DJ Company for our wedding. Several of our friends had used them and always had incredible experiences, so they were at the top of our list from day one. I also have known Trevor since childhood, which made the planning process even more fun and personal.
Trevor is not only an exceptional DJ but also an incredible person. He is professional, easy to work with, and brings such great energy to every interaction. From the planning process to the last song of the night, he exceeded every expectation we had and played a huge role in making our wedding day unforgettable.
Santa Cruz DJ Company has also recently started partnering with live musicians, so we booked Josh from Matt Masih & The Messengers to join Trevor as our DJ and saxophone duo. Josh was absolutely incredible. The chemistry between him and Trevor on the dance floor was unreal, and together they created an atmosphere that kept our guests dancing all night long.
One of our biggest priorities was having a packed, high-energy dance floor, and they absolutely delivered. Weeks later, our guests are still talking about how much fun they had dancing.
We cannot recommend Santa Cruz DJ Company—especially Trevor—highly enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable party and an epic dance floor, book them. You won't regret it! -

Santa Cruz DJ company provided the best DJ service I could have hoped for on my wedding day. They were incredibly efficient, professional, punctual, and fun! There were absolutely zero issues with sound during the ceremony, speeches and dancing portion of the day. What really stood out to me was how organized they were throughout the day. When Scott, mic'd me up for the ceremony, he was incredibly calming and confident which, honestly, helped me relax before the big moment. I could not recommend these guys enough. 100/10. -

Trevor was hands-down one of our favorite vendors to work with. From the very beginning, he was super professional, quick to respond, and just an all-around awesome person to have on our wedding team. He somehow managed to be both incredibly chill and personable while also being 1000% locked-in and on top of everything - it was very clear from the start that he really cared about getting every detail right, even though he made it all look extremely effortless! He also had previously worked with our venue (Waterfall Lodge & Retreat in Ben Lomond, CA) many times before and knew a bunch of our other vendors as well, which made coordination super smooth and easy.
The ceremony and reception dinner audio were flawless - not a single hiccup or weird transition. And once the dancing started, Trevor completely nailed the vibe. His mixing was seamless, and he read the crowd better than we ever could’ve imagined! Every song felt perfectly timed and chosen, and for songs we had requested he played for certain guests of ours, he made sure that the people a certain song was for were on the dance floor before hitting play. His work was just overall exceptionally seamless and extremely impressive!
The whole day flowed so perfectly, and Trevor’s energy had a lot to do with that. He absolutely crushed it and left us wanting the music to never end! If you’re looking for a DJ who’s talented, easy to work with, and just genuinely fun to be around, we can’t recommend Trevor enough. ❤️
We also added a photo booth to our SCDJ package kind of last minute, and they were super quick to add it to our contract, hammer out the details, and put together a personalized photo strip design. Our booth was manned by Scott, who was an absolute gem - he was just super sweet and very patient with everyone throughout the whole evening. And the photobooth ended up being way more of a hit than we thought it would be (plus, getting digital copies of all the photos afterwards was super cool!), so if you’re on the fence regarding whether to also book a booth with SCDJ, just do it! 🤩 -

From day one, Trevor was so thoughtful and attentive - through all the months of back and forth, last-minute song tweaks, and two days of events, he truly went above and beyond to bring our vision to life.
From our Sangeet-style welcome party to the reception, the energy was perfect, the transitions were seamless, and every moment felt like us. He took the time to make sure our must-play songs were included and made sure every beat matched the vibe we were going for
But beyond the music, Trevor is just such a fantastic presence to have throughout the weekend. He was constantly checking in, making sure we were happy and taken care of and that kind of care and attention meant so much to us given the craziness of the day. Would absolutely recommend Trevor to anyone seeking a great wedding or event DJ! -

SCDJ was incredible in helping my wedding go off without a hitch. So organized, so calm, we even had people asking us if Trevor was our coordinator! He was just awesome. The ceremony music and sound system was perfect, as well as coordination when it came time to announce us into dinner, start on speeches, and our first dance. During cocktail hour, people were coming up to us complimenting the music! We then had the best dance party I’ve even been a part of, where he took requests, and played music off of the very long list of songs that my husband and I sent him. The lighting in the space was also incredible! After the wedding, he helped coordinate a silent disco for the wedding party and even let some of my up and coming DJ friends DJ for a bit. Would highly recommend for your wedding, it made a huge difference for us. -

AMAZING DJ company! Would highly recommend them and their Photo booth option. We had Scott as our DJ at the Waterfall Lodge and he crushed it! We wanted a more unique playlist than the lame classic wedding music that is over played in our opinion. I told Scott what we were looking for in regards to our cocktail hour, dinner and reception with only a few songs to go off of and it was everything we dreamed of. He read the crowd perfectly by playing a few throw backs (the good ones that aren't over played) from time to time to include everyone and all ages along with the house music we were wanting. Everyone had a blast. This company also knew our wedding venue like the back of their hand and setup seemed to be a breeze for them without any issues. Thanks so much Scott!!! 😍 -

Trevor is a master MC and he absolutely killed it at our wedding. He is THE best DJ I have ever heard and also just a really nice guy. He's an ultimate professional and everything went so smoothly for our day. From coordinating my fiancé and our string quartet to play his guitar and serenade me during my procession, from all the announcements and mics, to of course the most epic dance party ever. I can't recommend Scott @ Santa Cruz DJ Company enough. We had our initial call with Trevor, he answered all our questions with ease and we loved his energy and down to earth spirit. He said we'd be in good hands with Scott Vaughn as our Wedding DJ and he DID NOT LIE. From the very beginning the process was so so easy with a Google Doc to add our Spotify playlists and make sure all our "must play" songs were added. Scott was totally open to letting me be a complete control freak over the music. He executed everything perfectly! Scott was one of our most raved about vendors, as all our friends could not get over how dope his transitions were from song to song. It was also great to look over and see him singing along and having a good time with us. We take music pretty seriously so it was definitely cool to see he enjoyed our music selections. Also, his personality was just 10/10, such a gracious and kind spirit, he definitely fit the vibe of our wedding. He was also the very last vendor to pack up and leave for the night, and even let us use his speaker to keep the party going while he broke down his gear. If you hire Santa Cruz DJ Company, definitely ask for Scott Vaughn! -

My husband and I just got married and hired Scott Vaughn from Santa Cruz DJ Company to DJ our wedding at Hollins House. Before we met Scott, we coordinated the planning with Trevor who was simply amazing. He took the time to speak to us and was very easy going and made sure to answer all of our questions. He was very organized and provided a simple way for us to pick the music we wanted (and didn’t want) at our reception.
Leading up to the wedding, we were connected with Scott who immediately emphasized that he would do everything he could to make sure we enjoyed our wedding day and he delivered. With Scott’s help the day went exactly according to plan. Scott made sure to give us a heads up as we transitioned throughout the stages of the day and there were no hiccups with background music or any of the mics during speeches and toasts. When it comes to the more traditional aspects of a DJ’s responsibilities, Scott excelled. He was able to read the energy of the dance floor and keep our guests engaged. In particular, he lined up two songs that brought every single guest onto the dance floor!

Trevor and his team are the ultimate professionals. They are easy to communicate with, timely, and worked incredibly well with our other vendors for our wedding in Carmel-by-the-Sea this past weekend. We selected Trevor to DJ at our wedding. He played all our requested songs for our cocktail hour and dinner service. Our specialty dances were trimmed and faded out at all the perfect times. Additionally, he took many of our requested songs and genres and seamlessly created an incredible mix for the reception that catered to all of our guests. Lastly, Trevor made my wife and me feel super comfortable and supported by periodically checking in with us throughout the evening to ensure everything ran smoothly.
We received several compliments from our wedding guests about how much they loved the music! Trevor and his team also accommodated a semi-last-minute request for a photo booth with complete ease. If you need a DJ for any event from the Bay to Carmel, please support this family-owned and operated business! -

They Bring The Party
Santa Cruz DJ was THE BEST! We hired them for our wedding, and Josh was our DJ. Josh brings all the good vibes!
We like pretty unconventional dance music (think Lightening in a Bottle/Dirtybird/Do LaB vibes) and wanted mostly that played, plus some groovy 70s tunes.. sprinkled with some pop songs earlier in the night that all the guests could enjoy… maybe some old 2000s rap if the vibe was right… and a ‘spontaneous’ soul train to break out at some point… you know, just totally common, uncomplicated requests hahaha.. But all those crazy requests are exactly what we were hoping for and Josh completely nailed it! I’m positive most people would have felt like all our odd requests made us major pain-in-the-ass clients to work with, but Josh was soo cool and supportive of all our weird ideas, and was down to help make it all happen.
They gave us an awesome worksheet to fill out that broke down each part of the wedding and what songs we wanted for every part of the day, which was SUPER organized and cool. We had my cousin sing the song that I walked down the aisle to, and Josh was so helpful and worked with us to coordinate what mics were needed and everything. Then we wanted a song to be timed with our first kiss - like in the sandlot when Squints kisses Wendy Peffercorn - and Josh knew exactly what we were talking about and made that happen too! We had crazy last minute rain and needed to move the entire wedding indoors just a day before the wedding and Josh was so kind and easy going and helped make it all work for us - just totally stress free.
I’m beyond grateful for everything Josh did for us to make our wedding totally amazing. If you want someone who is fun to work with, cares about customizing your day to fit you, super chill, and goes above and beyond for you, look no further, Josh and Santa Cruz DJs got you! -

In fact, when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID, we made sure to choose a date when Trevor was free, and we're glad we did. Trevor is professional and responsive and he truly listens to what you want. He sent us a template to fill in regarding our music likes and dislikes and what we wanted for the ceremony, reception and dancing. We are an event coordinating business, Rooted Hearts and had the pleasure of working with DJ Trevor at a wedding at The Waterfall Lodge in December 2021. Trevor was fantastic to work with--he was so on top of every moment of the day from set up at the ceremony site to the lights and party time on the dance floor!
Our favorite was the absolutely EPIC dance in the clouds he set up in the redwoods, on a cold winter night, it was beyond words. He pivoted when needed, adjusted timelines when needed and overall just had the best personality to DJ a wedding or any event for that matter. We can't wait to work with him again! -

We absolutely LOVED working with SC DJ Co. They were so easy to work with from the start and truly blew us away at our actual wedding. After a COVID postponement, we had crazy rain on our wedding day and Trevor was so calm and helpful with things that didn't even relate to him and his "duties". Trevor also did an incredible job with curating our playlist... our guests had SO much fun dancing! He also put together a custom mash-up for our father-daughter dance and it was PERFECT! Josh was fantastic with MC-ing and facilitating the projector and speakers for our rehearsal dinner. And of course, their photo booth was SO fun and left us with priceless memories. Their pricing is totally reasonable and their contracting/payment process are very easy with everything being processed online. I wish I could host all my events in the SC area so I could hire SC DJ Co. again and again and again!!! -

Best DJs around!
Santa Cruz DJ is the best company around! As a wedding planner, I have worked with several of their DJ’s (love them all) and recently had the pleasure of having Trevor for my own wedding!
I literally did not get off the dance floor all night and all of my friends commented on how epic the playlist was. He is professional, easy to work with and so talented at coming up with an insane playlist that was tailored to both my husband and I (as we tend to have different ideas of dance music at times).
Their DJ’s are also so great at being the emcee throughout the night.
I cannot suggest this company enough, we love Santa Cruz DJ! -

WONDERFUL. When my husband and I got engaged, the first vendor we reached out to once we had our date was Santa Cruz DJ Company. We have now been to 3 family and friend weddings with Santa Cruz DJ company playing, and every single one has been so much fun. Trevor replied to every question I asked faster than any other vendor, and was extremely supportive and accommodating with the shifts that happened to our wedding due the pandemic. He is organized, thoughtful, and helpful in ensuring that all your music for the day is exactly what you have in mind (and I love a good google doc for organization, which they use!). He even helped us get set up last minute with a photo booth!! On the actual day, Trevor went above and beyond what you would typically expect from a DJ - he checked in with us throughout the night on the flow of events, got us drinks (!), and kept us on schedule while creating room for flexibility in areas where it was needed. The music was SO GOOD, all of our guests raved about it, and my husband and I never left the dance floor all night. Including during the final hour, we asked pretty last minute if Trevor knew of anyone who did Silent Disco, and of course he immediately replied letting us know he had a set of headphones and we could do that for the last hour. Highly recommend, it was a huge hit and it was the best part of the night and our guests are still talking about it.
My husband and I have been to many weddings together - with both DJs and bands - and Trevor and Santa Cruz DJ company take the cake. We can't thank them enough! -

Can't say enough about how wonderful Santa Cruz DJ Company is! From start to finish they provide excellent service and a quality job. Trevor was instrumental in putting together our first dance "mashup" track, which really added to our wedding fun. He is a great emcee and really flawless at what he does. He kept things flowing with little or no effort required from us. I felt comfortable the whole night knowing that with his expertise everything was totally under control. Trevor is very personable and kept the music popping. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor and everyone had such a great time. We hired Santa Cruz DJ for our July 2021 wedding and would hire Trevor and his team again in a HEARTBEAT for any event in the future!
In the planning stages, Trevor was SO pleasant to work with and made sure to understand what we wanted, and what we definitely did not want and made sure to keep everything organized that had a specific song or toast for the wedding to go smoothly. When I told him that we wanted to mix 2 different songs into one for the Father/Daughter dance, he without hesitation offered to do that for us and delivered it in enough time to get some practice in before the wedding!
From the ceremony, to dinner to the reception, he was amazing. He knows how to read a crowd and make sure everyone is having a good time - there wasn’t a single moment once it started that the dance floor wasn’t full of people! To make the night even more special, he coordinated with our photographer to make my (former amateur dj) husband’s wedding dream come true of getting behind the DJ booth to play some songs! We HIGHLY recommend Santa Cruz DJ if you want to have an amazing party and easy-going DJ to work with! -

We hired Santa Cruz DJ for our wedding and had a wonderful experience! Music was a very important factor for us, so we made our DJ selection carefully and were not disappointed.
Like many couples, the pandemic interfered with our original wedding plans, leading us to go through 1 big postponement and multiple guest count changes. Trevor was flexible, communicative and understanding throughout the process. Trevor really put in effort in advance to make sure he understood our plans and what we wanted. He is truly talented, and managed to understand our music taste perfectly from the list of requests we gave him and to keep people dancing throughout the reception. I really appreciated him checking in with us throughout the night and keeping things running so smoothly. He's also just a pleasant, nice guy! We feel truly lucky to have had a wedding that didn’t feel like a covid wedding and a big reason why it was so much fun was because of the music! DJ Trevor Williams made our wedding an ABSOLUTE BLAST!
We recently had our wedding in November 2019 at Roaring Camp and we had the best time ever. Our guests could not rave enough about how much fun they had which, no doubt, was credited to our awesome DJ.
He was an excellent MC and gave us the energy we wanted at our wedding- especially since my only goal was to DANCE the whole night which I absolutely did.
Not only did he keep people on the dance floor, Trevor was super easy to communicate with. He was thoughtful, genuine, quick to respond to emails, and made us feel incredibly special. He even greeted us with our first drink of the night right after our ceremony and we felt well cared for by his attention to detail.
He recommended music for us and also was very organized about getting our important details (ceremony music, first dances, etc.) Not only that, he was familiar with our venue and did all the sound set up for our ceremony in the redwood grove at Roaring Camp.
I'm so glad we hired Trevor and will highly recommend him. Hiring DJ Trevor Williams was hands down one of the best decisions we made.

Everyone was just blown away by the music.
My husband and I are SO glad that we decided to go with Santa Cruz DJ on our wedding day. We have been to our fair share of weddings over the years, and entertainment reception at these various weddings have run the gamut. We knew we didn't want a live band because danceability was a high priority for us, but we also knew that we couldn't pick just ANY DJ. We needed one who could get everyone on the floor and KEEP everyone on the floor.
I remember looking around well into the night and our dance floor was PACKED. There were people of all ages. Everyone LOVED Trevor and we got so many compliments about him. Our ONLY complaint was that the party had to end so soon because our venue kicked us out at 11pm!
Aside from his excellent DJing, Trevor is the most responsive vendor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He's super nice and gets back to you with lightning speed. Both the ceremony and the reception flowed perfectly thanks to him.
My husband and I are so so so happy to have hired Santa Cruz DJ Company. You cannot go wrong!

From the moment we spoke with Trevor, we knew we’d found our wedding DJ. He was seriously so fun to work with and we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! Our dance floor was packed all night long and he worked great with our day-of coordinator to make sure our entire day went smoothly.
He has an awesome energy and helped to ease our nerves leading up to the big day. Anything questions we had were answered immediately and he was super accommodating, professional, and down to earth. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ.

We hired DJ Trevor Williams from Santa Cruz DJ Company for our June 29 wedding this year in Monterey, CA.
My husband and I love to dance and have a good time, and hiring a DJ who could not only spin amazing tunes all night but also act as an emcee for the day (announcing cake cutting, first dances, all that jazz) was so important to us!
Trevor delivered on every front. Our guests were raving to us after the wedding about how much they loved the DJ and our music! The dance floor stayed packed (which I was a little worried about since we only had 95 guests total) and he played an awesome mix. He even took a few requests!
Trevor was super easy to communicate with before the wedding, and on the day-of he showed up on time (probably early to be honest), and had all his own equipment set up in no time. He brought extra cords, he stayed out of the way of pics (lol) and he mic'd our officiant and my groom for the ceremony so our guests could hear every word.
One of the best things about Trevor is that he's super chill. Don't mistake this for not taking your big day seriously!!!! He is 100% professional and wants your day to be perfect --- but he also wants to set a tone so that you can relax and enjoy. I appreciated that "chill" demeanor as a bride :)

I don't even know where to begin because from start to finish it was AMAZING working with Trevor. We were pretty nervous about hiring a DJ because we had never seen one at a wedding that we LOVED. A friend recommended Trevor and said she'd seen him a multiple weddings so we decided to hop on a call.
We met with him for drinks in the city and immediately knew we'd hired the right guy. Trevor has the best chill yet confident demeanor that you would ever want in a DJ. You can tell he's a professional and has it down yet he was still flexible in trying new ideas we had.
We had a Welcome Dinner and couldn't afford to hire a full DJ. Trevor was incredible and let us get the speakers/mic equipment and showed us how to set it up so we could use it the day before. He even dropped it off at our apt! Talk about going above and beyond.
Long story short, everything was perfect - the audio at the ceremony, the music, our first dance which was a fusion (he blended it wonderfully.) Our dance floor was PACKED literally all night. Multiple people told me they kept trying to sit down but would jump right back up because a new song came on that they had to dance to. Many people afterwards remarked at how he never played a bad song AND he played songs for the perfect amount of time, he kind of blended or phased them out at the perfect time so you never listened to anything for too long.

Trevor was a great recommendation from the beginning. He offers multiple sound set ups and uplighting - which was perfect for the large barrels in the beautiful venue we chose. The sound was so smooth through out the entire event and the dance floor... our guests did NOT STOP!! We gave him a playlist of music, but like a true dj, he enhanced and blended everything so it was seamless. I highly recommend him for any event! -

To begin, Trevor is an awesome communicator and responds to emails very quickly. He answered all of my nervous bride questions for over 6 months before our actual wedding day.
He set up an appointment for my (then) fiance and me to come to his office and just meet him and talk about what we wanted and answer even more of my questions
Before our wedding we provided him with a Spotify playlist of songs that we love and on our wedding day he played a mix of things that we wanted to hear and kept the dance floor packed ALL night!
He did a great job of keeping our wedding on track, from the ceremony, to calling our guests up by table to the buffet, to speeches, to special guest singers, and most importantly played to our crowd. Trevor was flexible, went with the flow, and paid close attention to the needs of everyone around him.
I have received so many compliments from our "non-dancing" guests that said Trevor got them out dancing and that they had the most fun that they had had in years!
I highly recommend Santa Cruz DJ Company and Trevor and would use them again without a second thought!
