We decided to elope pretty last minute and Patrice was wonderful! She put together a ceremony that was short and sweet and perfectly us, was super responsive and took the time to get to know us. She also had a menu of options that helped us hone in on what we wanted our vows and ceremony to look like. Our day wouldn't have been the same without her!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Patrice Handley from Santa Barbara Classic Weddings as our officiant, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, Patrice was organized, thoughtful, and incredibly kind. Her warm and friendly demeanor immediately put us at ease, and her heartfelt approach made our ceremony feel deeply personal and special.

Leading up to the wedding, Patrice scheduled several preparational calls with us to walk through every detail of the ceremony. She made sure we knew exactly what to expect and guided us through the process with care and professionalism. She also provided clear instructions about obtaining our marriage license and took the extra step of mailing it in for us after the ceremony.

One of the most meaningful touches was the folder she gave us afterward—it included the full script of our ceremony, complete with the poems, vows, and prayers we had selected. It’s something we’ll treasure forever.

Even when a minor hiccup happened—our marriage license got misplaced on the day of the wedding—Patrice handled the situation with total grace and calm. She made sure everything was signed properly and returned to us, turning a potentially stressful moment into a non-issue.

Patrice is the best!

Patrice was fantastic to work with! She is very professional and responds quickly to email/phone calls. Patrice was very helpful in sharing different options/ideas for poems, blessings and vow selections. She wrote a ceremony script that was personalized to us and delivered it beautifully. We asked her to keep the ceremony heartfelt but also fun, and she did just that. Patrice has a calming energy, which was very reassuring during the day of our wedding. So many of our guests commented on what a great job she did officiating. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Patrice.

Perfect Officiant for Santa Barbara Wedding

Patrice was everything that we were hoping for. Being new to California & unfamiliar with the Santa Barbara area, we were worried about finding an officiant that would be falsely personal or detached. Patrice was perfect! She spent the time to get to know us, our relationship, & our guests. She is unbelievably kind, but also provides a good balance of guidance as to how the ceremony can be structured, taking thoughtful consideration of what you're envisioning. She is entirely professional and fun - our guests all loved her. 100% recommend.

Sunken Gardens Elopement

Patrice was our officiant for our elopement ceremony at the Sunken Gardens in Santa Barbara. Patrice could not have been more accommodating, communicative, professional, and knowledgeable. From start to finish, she led us on our path to our ceremony with ease. Through talking with her on multiple occasions, our ceremony turned into something much more than we imagined. Our ceremony turned out to be more individualized and representative of us and our family. She made sure to get to know us and our family’s on a personal level and made us feel very comfortable with the flow of the ceremony. After the ceremony, all anyone in our family could talk about was how wonderful Patrice and the ceremony was. We thank her for making our day so special and would recommend her to anyone!!

Patrice made our day more than we could hope for!

Looking back on everything leading up to our wedding and our actual wedding day itself, Patrice was such an amazing part! She had all the best recommendations and suggestions and truly made our ceremony feel more special than we could ever imagine. She cares about our love story

Patrice was the final touch to make our wedding ceremony perfect. We had a couple calls with her to get to know her in the weeks leading up to the ceremony and she really listened and cares about our love story. I couldn't imagine anyone else officiating our wedding in Santa Barbara. Her words were so kind and there wasn't a dry eye in the crowd. We also decided to purchase a keepsake booklet from her that outlines our entire ceremony so we can have it forever and look at it on our future anniversaries. Thank you Patrice!

You can't go wrong with Patrice!

We wanted to take a moment to thank Patrice with SB Classic Weddings from the bottom of our hearts for making our ceremony so special. We knew we wanted to get married in Santa Barbara but after talking to Patrice for the first time we felt so comforted and knew we were in the best hands to make our day as special as it could possibly be. When working with Patrice, something you'll be able to detect right away is how genuine she is. We made it a point to really focus and listen to every word Patrice said during the ceremony and it was so beautifully written and was delivered with so much love too. All of our family, as it was a small family only wedding, was just so engaged with the entire ceremony. We spoke over the phone with Patrice and exchanged emails many times before our big day, and she always made it seem like she had all the time in the world for us. She was always so encouraging too, and that gave us confidence too as we've never been married before! She really helped make our day more amazing and memorable than we ever could have imagined. Patrice is just lovely!

Patrice was our officiant for our elopement and she is just so so lovely! From our initial consultation over the phone to finally meeting her in person, she always just made my now wife and I feel calm, happy, and at ease (which is important on such a big day)!

Our parents didn't attend our ceremony (due to COVID), but Patrice called me the day of just to tell me to really soak in the moment and enjoy the day. Even my own parent's didn't do that!

Wedding Fairytale

Trice perfectly captured our relationship and created a ceremony that really felt like us. Patrice officiated our small wedding at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and made the ceremony so special. Amazing! She captured everything we were looking for!

Patrice did such an amazing job! She did an incredible job communicating and helping us out with any questions we had throughout the whole process. Not only did help us have the most laid back, stress free wedding we were wishing for but her personality is what really sold us. You can really tell that she’s passionate about what she does! She did an amazing job capturing our love story. All of the guests loved her beautiful speech and nice touches that she added to the wedding. What can I say about a couple like this?! Even though they asked for a simple ceremony, they chose very deep and sensitive poems and the tenderest of personal vows. They clearly see each other in the light of love...there's nothing "simple" in what they share! A marriage like this is a gift to our world!

From the moment I spoke to Patrice I knew she would be the perfect one to officiate our wedding. She made me feel comfortable, told me what to expect, talked me through each step, help me write our ceremony, and sincerely put her heart and love into our special day. Her pricing is great compared to others in the area. She’s super easy to work with, professional yet personable. She listened to what I wanted, guided me through this entire process. No stress! Patrice's knowledgeable expertise and easy mannerism immediately made us feel 1000% better about the ceremony. If I could give 8 stars, I would have

Patrice is the most special human being. We were so fortunate and blessed to have her officiate our wedding. It seemed that she was able to perceive exactly what is unique and meaningful in our relationship and our history together, and she wrote a ceremony that could not have been more perfect for us. I cried when I first read it. The ceremony itself was pure light-hearted joy for me, in part because of Patrice's amazing presence and love that she infused into it. I could not ask for a better way to start my marriage journey.

Amazing Person/ Outstanding Officiant

Patrice made our wedding absolutely amazing. From the first consultation, my future bride and I were put completely at ease by her knowledge, patience, and ability to pull together the story that would be told on our special day. When it came time for the wedding Patrice delivered surpassing all expectations. She eliminated any anxious feelings my wife and I were having allowing us to actually experience and enjoy the moment. Planning and executing a wedding can be hard, but working with Patrice is not. She is the real deal.

Magical Wedding Vows

When we decided to elope to Santa Barbara for our vows, one of the hardest parts was to trust someone we met online to be our officiant. My husband (!!) and I are both religious but also very spiritual and it was hard to find the right balance. I talked to a few people and decided that perhaps we'd just do the courthouse thing and then take some photos in our formal clothes. Something just didn't feel right about though, so I googled a few terms about what I wanted in my officiant ('Santa Barbara' and 'boho' to name two) and Santa Barbara Classic Weddings popped up with a blog post about how to make a wedding feel natural and bohemian.

It was 8:30 at night when I called Patrice and we talked for at least 30 minutes. Our meeting was definitely clandestine. From the first word we probably uttered to each other, our souls seemed to realize that they were of the same cloth. It took no time to realize that she would perfectly suit us as an officiant.

Throughout the next few months we decided on vows and the rest of the ceremony material. She was very easy to chat with and was even flexible to change the date and time of the vows. The week before, she called and talked more, wanting details of how we met and fell in love.

The ceremony was breath-taking. She spoke tenderly and even teared up when my husband and I did. She included a special note I emailed to her from our dog, Lady.

Not many things in life are perfect, but our wedding vows were. I cannot even formulate the right words to describe how much I recommend Patrice let alone thank her for officiating the vows that bonded my wonderful best friend and I as husband and wife.

Stop looking because she is the best!

I could not have been more relieved and thankful to have Patrice marry us. She is the ultimate professional, and relieved our anxiety entirely upon our first meeting. She makes figuring out the ceremony and help with deciding on vows a simple process - which I can only imagine would be a supreme headache if we were working with anyone else. So many guests said it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever sat through. We laughed, we cried and it was all so perfect and so personal - just for us. The only thing I regret is not writing this review sooner. I wish I could give her ten stars. Thank you so much Trice!!

Absolutely Amazing!

We coordinated with a couple officiants when trying to find someone for our wedding and when we talked with Patrice we knew right away we wanted her as our officiant! We appreciated her taking the time to genuinely get to know us from the beginning. She did a great job of incorporating important things to us into the ceremony and made it a very special day for us! During the entire process she was genuinely curious about who we were and our story together. She always had a gentle and compassionate tone when speaking to us, which we absolutely loved during our wedding ceremony. We cannot thank Patrice enough for all she did on our special day!

Patrice was absolutely wonderful. From day one, she kept constant communication with my wife and I. She also sent us reminders, but also relieved our stress when we realized that we were short on time. During the ceremony, there was a lot of commotion and last minute details that Patrice went over with us. Although time was running short, she had the patience and guided us through everything. As a result, our wedding was perfect and just the way we wanted.

Our wedding day was magical and memorable, and Patrice played a role in making this so. Patrice is a delightful lady who takes the time to get to know the bride and groom well so she can truly personalize the ceremony with heartfelt words and readings for the couple. We found Patrice on the knot. My husband and I were having a wedding outside of our county and went looking into Santa Barbara to get married in their beautiful courthouse. Patrice provided officiant services for that area, and she was exactly what we were looking for! We were having a small wedding of 16 people, something very intimate. We wanted someone that would be able to provide the warmth and capture the intimacy that my husband and I were looking for. Patrice was so sweet from the very beginning of our phone meetings! We were very comfortable with her! We didn't actually get to meet her in person till the day of, but she was just as pleasant in person as she was over the phone. She was also very awesome in handling our crying fur-baby, Marley. It didn't seem to phase her at all! She stayed focus to our ceremony. I would recommend her to anyone!

My now husband and I were married on the beach in Santa Barbara. We had interviewed a few officiants before finding Patrice, but I tell you, from the first conversation on the phone, I knew she was the right one. I feel so fortunate to have had Patrice officiate our marriage. It was more than that though. She casually interviewed us on the phone and you could tell she had a true knack for this type of thing. She asked questions that made my heart melt when my fiancé told her his response. She asked about our love story. She was able to take what she learned about us and turn in into such a great ceremonial intro. Then, she helped us choose ceremonial readings that represented us. She really is just a lovely person! Can’t speak high enough of our officiant!

Patrice Handley of Santa Barbara Classic Weddings is a wonderful person and the perfect choice if you are looking for a wedding officiant in Santa Barbara! She responded within hours to our first email and we knew from the start she was the person we wanted to work with. We only had a few weeks to plan our wedding and Patrice guided us through every step. She talked with us over the phone to really got to know both of us and helped us when we wanted to write our own vows! She always responded the same day, was always available for phone calls and really made us feel like we were almost family. So friendly, warm and kind! Every time I felt a bit stressed about my vows or anything else, she would reassure me and promise that everything would work out! We got married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse which is an amazing location, to begin with. Patrice did an amazing job during our ceremony and really took the time to tell our story, share our blessings, include our family members (who flew out from overseas) and let us say our vows. I was so nervous that I put the ring on my husband's wrong finger and she made a funny joke about it which made it all funny. :-)

Patrice is a delightful person and a wonderful choice for a wedding officiant. She was the first vendor we booked for our wedding because after a short phone conversation, we knew she was the one! We met with her in person while we were visiting Santa Barbara and we left feeling more confident than ever that she was perfect. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and what really makes us tick. As out of towners, she did everything she could to help us plan for our wedding and ensure everything went smoothly. She contacted us when promised, was available via phone or email when needed and provided a very extensive compilation of ceremony content for us to choose from when creating our ceremony. She then created a beautiful draft version encompassing our chosen readings and personal details we discussed in our first meeting - all of it as if she had known us for years. She spoke with us by phone a few weeks before the wedding and on the wedding day to ensure everything was going as planned. She is a reassuring presence and treats all of her clients as individuals and friends. We truly felt like she was a family member and were thrilled to have her perform our wedding. We will treasure the memories of our wedding ceremony and Patrice is a major reason why. I am struggling to come up with a way to effectively describe how incredibly wonderful Patrice is... just book her and you will see what a fantastic decision it is!

Patrice was amazing! We were struggling to find an officiant who was a good fit, then we happened upon Patrice (Three weeks before the wedding)! Personal Special Ceremony

Patrice Handley and Santa Barbara Classic Weddings was recommended to us by our photographer and we could not have been more happy. We met with Patrice over the phone and had a wonderful conversation where she offered great ideas and provided many options for how our ceremony could work. After doing some of our own homework we selected a few poems and prayers and our vows. We made a few edits to some of the suggestions presented and discussed our selections with Patrice. She really took time to get to know us and incorporated our story into the ceremony. She walked us through the entire ceremony end to end and was very patient with us, answering all of our questions and offering suggestions. She was very reassuring, even up to the last minute when we thought we may need to make venue changes due to the weather. Fortunately, the weather cooperated and turned out to be a beautiful day.
From there she conducted the most amazing and beautiful ceremony we could ever imagine. After the ceremony, Patrice presented us with a folder with our Marriage certificate and a gift booklet of our ceremony! Many of our guests commented on what an amazing job Patrice did, capturing our spirit, putting it into beautiful words, and making our ceremony so personal and special. We can’t thank Patrice enough for making our wedding so special for our guests and us, and a day we will reflect on, as the best ever start to the rest of our lives together. Patrice was amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect from an officiant but what ever expectations I had, Patrice surpassed them! I really appreciated Patrice's genuineness, thoughtfulness and experience because they all contributed in making our ceremony beautiful and personal.

Wedding planning, including choosing an officiant and planning the ceremony content, is very daunting but Patrice was very responsive, organized, patient, and encouraging throughout while empowering us to make the content of our ceremony our own. The result was a ceremony that had our family and friends engaged, and a ceremony that felt catered to our story.

After our first meeting, I knew she was going to do a wonderful job. What made the ceremony great was the mix of her expertise, the tenderness in her tone of voice, and how she worded every part of it with a focus on my spouse and me.

She gave us many ideas, provided samples, and guided us as we included personalized touches, including making part of the ceremony in Spanish. The contents of the ceremony were beautiful and I thank her so much for making our ceremony truly ours.

We received multiple compliments about the ceremony, content, length and even on Patrice’s tone of voice.

A wedding ceremony is one of the few sacred moments in your life, if you're looking for an officiant, you should meet with Patrice!

Through our wedding planning, Patrice was more than an officiant- she became a friend. At our first meeting, she was warm and welcoming, and made a true effort to get to know me and my husband. This was especially reflected when she helped us shape our vows and ceremony pieces for the day. She made herself available by email or phone, and I recall my husband calling her the morning of the wedding because he had some last-minute questions about repeating his vows. I talked to Patrice that morning too, and she reassured us that everything would be wonderful and beautiful, and it was. We are very appreciative, and would highly recommend her to anyone.

We really enjoyed working with Patrice and she was very thorough from the very first time I contacted her for inquiry. During our consultation she asked us many questions to help make the ceremony personal which I really appreciated. It ended up raining on our wedding day and as I was overwhelmed with bridal things I was so relieved when Patrice called me to say she had taken it upon herself to contact our venue and figure out a plan B to wed in the rain. She did it without being asked and I am not sure what we would have done without her!

From the moment that my wife and I first sat with Patrice, we were impressed by her genuine interest in getting to know us as a couple. Patrice skillfully interwove details of our relationship into the ceremony. There was nothing ‘cookie-cutter’ about our experience working with her. She added a feeling of intimacy to our ceremony far beyond what we were expecting of an officiant.

I am particularly grateful to Patrice because she encouraged me to write a short poem for my soon-to-be wife, which she then read at the ceremony. I also wrote the wedding vows for both my wife and I, personalizing them and throwing in an allusion to Dante. Looking back at my wedding day, I am glad that some of my own words were included in the ceremony. I have Patrice to thank for this.

Also, Patrice made another important contribution to our wedding day by suggesting the recently reborn El Encanto as a quaint venue for our wedding. El Encanto turned out to be the right place. As soon as my wife and I were up on the American Riviera, looking out over the stretched Pacific, we knew that the wedding had to be there.

The keepsake booklet that Patrice created for my wife and I is also adorable, and has become one of my dearest possessions. My wife and I were married in the summer of 2013, so this grateful review has been a little long in the making. Even almost three years on, though, the memory of Patrice as a helpful and thoughtful officiant stands out in my mind. Thank you, Patrice, for helping to craft our ceremony into a beautiful memory!

My wife and I would both heartily recommend Patrice Handley as a wedding officiant for those couples searching for a sweet presence to oversee their special day. I am sure that she will impress many more couples in the future, as she draws on the unique facets of a couple to limn the beauty of the bond that is being consecrated by marriage.

Where do I begin? Book Patrice to be your Wedding officiant now! From our first phone conversation we knew she was something special, after meeting in person you could feel all of her loving emotions. She talked to us about our life together, why we love one another, how we met etc.. Once we received our first draft of the wedding ceremony we were beyond impressed by how she put all those special details into our ceremony like she had known us our entire relationship. During the preparations she was nothing but helpful, responded promptly and answered every question with perfect detail. This was my first wedding and we got married in the Mural room at the Santa Barbara court house, so I had a lot of “what do I do?’ questions. Our ceremony was my favorite part of my wedding day, not only because I got to marry my husband but because Patrice spoke all the words like we were the two most important loving people in the word. She really has an aura about her, our wedding guests came up to us after expressing that our wedding ceremony was the most heartfelt, loving beautiful ceremony that had attended. We owe that all to Patrice, if you are lucky enough to have Patrice marry you I would be surprised if you didn’t have the same experience.

Let me start by saying that Patrice is an all around wonderful person. Some people are born with talents, but Patrice is off the charts talented for officiating weddings. I guess this review is more like a thank you note for Patrice. So I just wanted to take a few minutes to extend our gratitude from both my newly wedded bride and I for all your support and help all along the way until the day of our wedding. I can't recommend Patrice highly enough. We wanted to get married in California as part of a trip to the US from England. We had a couple of problems understanding the arrangements and were in a fix worrying about how to sort everything out. To put it simply: Patrice came to our rescue. She got back to me straight away from my initial inquiry and helped me understand how to sort out arrangements to get married in Santa Barbara and what I needed to do. For the ceremony Patrice spend time with us on the phone from the UK before we came over; she took the time to understand us, our relationship, how likes and how we wanted our day to go. From this she prepared the most beautiful ceremony that reflected everything we wanted and which brought a tear to our eyes and a smile to our faces. We were visiting with just our 2 sons and ourselves and driving around California for a holiday-come-wedding-come-honeymoon - as such we needed a witness and a photographer (and help arranging flowers), Patrice helped provide all of these. Her attitude, care and attention to detail really mark her out.

I would recommend Patrice Handley of Santa Barbara Classic Weddings a million times over! Darren and I wed at the Mural Room/Santa Barbara courthouse. We were going to initially use a court clerk but decided we wanted a customized ceremony and vows. We interviewed three (3) officiants and all were very lovely but I especially connected with Patrice. She was extremely responsive from our 1st outreach and throughout the process. She was patient and flexible for Darren and I live in different countries and Patrice was awesome about coordinating a conference call for all of us to speak and even with the small time delays in the call- she didn't skip a a beat. She asked questions about us but it never felt like an interview- it was a casual conversation with laughter, understanding and an instant connection. She suggested different things for us to think on that the other officiants hadn't and the option to create a lovely ceremony book was a great personal touch. Budget wise, Patrice was right in the middle of the officiants we interviewed so i felt comfortable we were getting a great service. Patrice came across as truly invested in the couple's she worked with and thus it was an easy decision.

I cant emphasize Patrice's patience with us changing our vows and resubmitting to her! but also her patience as we navigated through the wonderful readings, poems and ceremony options she provided and she was really lovely and flexible to use items i'd researched and wanted to use. We had an idea of how we wanted the ceremony to go but again Patrice really helped us navigate and shape the ceremony more. in the end, it was so amazingly beautiful- exceeding my expectations! most people think an elopement will be very simple and without the frills but Darren and I really wanted a special celebration of our love- even if it was just the two of us and Patrice understood that and in the end, shaped a most incredible ceremony- truly words cant articulate how grateful i am

Patrice is, quite simply, the most wonderful wedding officiant any couple could hope for. My husband and I are in complete agreement that Patrice's impeccably warm, gracious, and professional manner was a treasured highlight of our intimate elopement ceremony in Santa Barbara this past July. Hiring a stranger to play a prominent role in what is a very personal and emotional experience can be an overwhelming process. How do you decide from an on-line profile?? Patrice is amazing!!! Patrice officiated our wedding ceremony last month and she did such a phenomenal job!! She crafted a gorgeous, touching and personal ceremony that everyone is still talking about. We met with Patrice a few months before our ceremony and it was such a joy spending time with her and getting to know each other. She took a genuine interest in our relationship and put together the most beautiful ceremony :) After our meeting she provided us with readings and vows to pick and choose from. After this she sent us a full draft that we could alter any way we wanted to. She did such an amazing job we didn't have any changes!! She really got us!! My husband and I are both secular and did not write our own vows, so were nervous about how our personalities and love would be captured in the ceremony. Patrice did such an amazing job of creating such a personal and meaningful ceremony. I cannot rave enough about Patrice!!! She was always available to us in the planning process which was so helpful. She also gives you a beautiful book that contains your ceremony word for word that we will treasure forever. Thank you, Patrice for such an incredible and meaningful ceremony!!!

Patrice is absolutely amazing! My wife and I highly recommend Patrice.

From the very first conversation we had Patrice took a genuine interest in our relationship and in learning about us. She took the time to customize a ceremony that fit our personalities and interests. And, did I mention she did all this on very (very!) short notice? Patrice went out of her way to make our wedding day truly memorable. The ceremony was beautiful and exactly what we wanted (even if we couldn't totally describe it ourselves beforehand).

In addition, Patrice went above and beyond by helping us secure a last minute change in venue when the weather report showed that our beach elopement was going to be hampered by cold and drizzly weather.

We cannot say enough about how critical Patrice was to our amazing day. Thank you Patrice!

Our son and his fiance wanted a small but nice civil ceremony and we found Santa Barbara Classic Weddings and Patrice Handley through an online search. She had wonderful review comments. Patrice treated us so kindly and calmly. She took the time to get to know our son and his fiance and then so beautifully incorporated these details into the ceremony. Patrice suggested the Santa Barbara Historic Courthouse, which was a beautiful venue. We found a wonderful spot under a giant magnolia tree on the grounds. Patrice was such a fabulous officiant! She is an intuitive person who easily grasped the qualities in our relationship that make us unique. As two working professionals with little extra time, she was also very patient in working with us. We had a phone meeting and two in person meetings and were able to form a connection very quickly. Patrice is down to earth and centered; she is happy and positive, but also wise and grounded. Honestly, she was so absolutely wonderful, it is hard to put into words!

Patrice officiated our wedding at the Montecito country club and she is AMAZING!! She really made my husband and I feel so comfortable and really got a sense of who we are before she designed a wedding ceremony that represented us. We were so fortunate to meet Patrice and have her officiate our wedding. We knew we wanted someone with a warm, welcoming, and calming presence to take part on our special day and we found just that in Patrice. Elizabeth and I had a destination wedding in Santa Barbara. I was put in charge of picking out the officiant to wed Elizabeth and me. Our wedding planner had provided a few names. In review, as soon as I saw Patrice's web page, I realized that I had been at a wedding that she officiated. Although it was about 10 years prior, I had remembered her.
I was blown away with Patrice when I called her the first time. From the soothing sound of her voice to her kindness I knew she was the perfect person to marry us. She spent quality time with me on the phone getting to know me. It was such a pleasant experience right from the beginning.
Over the course of the next few months, Patrice worked closely with us tailoring our ceremony to match Elizabeth's and my preferences. We knew what to expect come wedding day but even then, Patrice exceeded all expectations with an absolutely beautiful ceremony that was a perfect fit for Elizabeth and me. Several of our guests commented on how it was the most beautiful ceremony they have ever attended.
I can't think of any suggestions to Patrice as our ceremony was PERFECT!

First of all, Patrice was very flexible when first meeting us to discuss the possibility of being our officiant, as we were living in England at the time and so had to arrange our initial meeting via Skype. Despite this limitation, we were so happy to have connected with her right away, as we appreciated her calm enthusiasm and her spiritual energy. We also found her a good listener, attentive and caring about what we were looking for in our ceremony. This attention and care became even more evident when we read the ceremony she prepared for us in advance of the wedding, which contained a wonderful balance of respect for the traditions of marriage while also providing a touch very personal to our own story and relationship. As the day approached, Patrice was very supportive in accommodating a schedule change we requested in rehearsal time, which was a relief considering the hectic schedule we had that week. During the rehearsal, she was warm and welcoming (our families were very happy to meet her!) and gently offered some procedural suggestions that ended up being key to making our ceremony a beautiful success!

We loved our ceremony, and our guests did as well! Throughout our reception we received many, many compliments on what a special time people had during the ceremony (which was about 15 minutes long, which both Patrice and we agreed would be a good length). Example compliments we received were “we could really feel the love” and “it was such a meaningful ceremony that was sentimental and genuine without being corny.” We loved the calm energy with which Patrice directed our ceremony. Her experience was evident, her presence was calming, and she did a wonderful job at highlighting the love we feel toward one another and to our friends and family. We didn't have much luck after speaking with a couple officiants, but the second we spoke with Patrice we knew she was a perfect match . She has such a warm kind heart which made it easy for us to talk with her. She listened to our life stories and wrote an amazing piece about us that brought tears to our eyes. It really showed who we were together as a couple. It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony and we have Patrice to thank for it. Patrice was absolutely amazing. My husband and I are not religious and really had no idea where to start when planning our ceremony. Patrice took the time to get to know us and work with us to create a personalized ceremony. She was open and flexible to our ideas and offered excellent suggestions when we were stuck. My husband and I celebrated our one of the happiest moment of our lives and that was so awesome with the helped of Patrice Handley, who officiated us. She so nice and friendly, She make sure what she know what we both like in the ceremony, she determined what kind of ceremony we wants.

Where do I begin? My husband and I chose to do a intimate ceremony in Pismo Beach and I found Patrice on Wedding Wire. I knew how important the officiant we chose would be - it makes or breaks your ceremony. We had a phone call with her and liked everything she said and made us feel very comfortable.

She created a personal ceremony for us that was beautiful. I could not have asked for something more perfect. I received lots of compliments on the ceremony but also about Patrice. My friends thought she knew us personally because the ceremony was so personal and heartfelt.

She was easy to work with, responsive, affordable and created a ceremony that we will look back on forever with so much happiness.

I highly recommend her! You will not regret it.

Patrice was absolutely wonderful to work with, from the first meeting,(where we too made it to the car and then walked right back in and asked her to be our Officiant), to the rehearsal (squeezed in for us before another ceremony) to the actual ceremony. Patrice's reassuring professionalism will calm the worst of nerves. It still amazes me how well she captured "us" , our family, and all the elements we wanted to include. The personalization of our ceremony and booklet still amazes me. Patrice made sure that the ceremony was indeed the most remembered and cherished part of our day and probably most complimented too!

Patrice was a joy to work with. She made our ceremony very unique for us and it turned out great. I loved that she printed the entire ceremony into a book that we passed around for reading the vows, it looked very professional and classy, and i didn't have to worry about forgetting to bring the vows with me. We planned the whole wedding from out-of-state so we didn't meet til right before the wedding, but Patrice was helpful and walked us through everything. I would definately recommend her!

From one bride to another, look no further... Patrice is the dream officiant. She was one of the best memories of our wedding last month. Our nuptials were planned within two months and I wasn't confidant with any officiants online, until I contacted Patrice. I knew that Patrice was the right fit for our special day the moment after we met with her. I shared this with my fiance (now husband) in our vehicle. She possessed the soft, feminine touch that I desired, along with an air of professionalism.
She was communicative, and even composed a book that commemorated our day. On the day of the rehearsal she had another wedding in Santa Ynez, and made sure there was a back up person. As it turned our she made it right on time, so there were two people to help compose the ceremony.
I would reccomend her to anyone.

Patrice was the perfect person for our intimate wedding ceremony. We thought that living outside the country would be challenging, but Patrice responded perfectly to our needs and in a timely manner. She was able to suggest places, ceremony ideas and took the time to talk with us long distance (several times) to ensure that she met our expectations.

Patrice at Santa Barbara Classic Weddings was a delight to work with. My husband and I met with her for a consultation at her home. While there she made us feel welcomed and was delighted to talk about our visions for our wedding. That is when she also met our then 4 year old daughter, and our daughter adored her. Which was a HUGE plus in our opinion. She understood our vision for our ceremony and her personality vibrated beyond just her services. Patrice was in constant contact with me the weeks leading up to our wedding. She sent us a general outline of what to expect out of our ceremony, and it went above and beyond our expectations. She made herself available for our rehearsal (all the way in Solvang) the day before the big day, and was a huge help in showing our wedding party where to go and what to do so our ceremony would be smooth and memorable. The day of the wedding she was professional and sweet and gave me and my husband the ceremony we dreamed of. She went above and beyond incorporating our daughter into the ceremony, as she made sweet gestures and comments when our daughter laughed and said "aww." We would highly recommend her, if you are looking for an officiant that goes above and beyond her services and gives off a pleasantly warm vibe at a great value!

We highly recommend Patrice Handley! She was our officiant for our wedding at Coquelicot Estate Winery in Solvang in June 2011.

From the moment we met Patrice, we knew she was perfect for our wedding. We really didn't know where to start when it came to choosing the readings, vows, etc. We wanted to have some religious aspects, but not too many. We wanted something with tradition, but also with a contemporary twist.

Patrice immediately put our minds at ease! She walked us through all the options for the format, vows, readings, etc. She never said "this is what most people do." It was important to her that we created our own unique experience that represented us.

Patrice shared her wealth of knowledge about wedding customs and readings from all religions and cultures. She shared ideas with the most open mind. Each step of the way, she encouraged us to chose words that best represented our relationship. We ended up adding in the Rose Ceremony (where you exchange rose buds) which we had not planned, and loved it! We also added the Irish Blessing at the end of the ceremony. She made us a beautiful book of the ceremony text that is an amazing keepsake.

Patrice is also 150% professional! She was always on time or early, always responded to our emails or calls right away, and is a pro at AV. Her recommendation for lapel mics was the best. She is a true lady when it comes to fashion too. She is so poised and has an amazing voice - very calming, sincere and enthusiastic.

Patrice made our ceremony perfect and so special. She inspired us to take the time to make it unique and memorable. It worked! Everyone came up to us at the reception and said "that was the best ceremony!"

We are so grateful that we found Patrice & recommend her highly!

Patrice was great. We wanted our ceremony short and sweet and that is exactly what we got. We could of had any kind of ceremony that we wanted because Patrice was willing to work with us. She was extremely flexible with our meeting with her which was nice since we were coming from Orange County. If we needed to discuss a problem with her or had a question Patrice was more than willing to help out. I feel that she genuinely cares about all of the couples that she meets. From the second my husband and I met Patrice we were inlove! She did an amazing job. She understood who we were, and the love we have for eachother and new exactly was poems and readings we would like for our ceremony.
