Our dream wedding went better than we could have ever imagined. The Sands was the most beautiful canvas we could have asked for, and with Olivia Prescott, the Events Director at The Sands, and Shannon Romijn of Artisan Events behind the scenes, every single detail was executed perfectly to plan.
We toured multiple venues and met with several coordinators before choosing The Sands -- and when Olivia's name came up during these tours, every other venue knew exactly who she was. She already had a reputation in the desert as the best in the business. When we finally met her, it was immediately obvious why. Shannon, our wedding coordinator, had worked with Olivia before, and from the moment we realized we had both of them on our team, we knew we were in the best possible hands.
Olivia commands every detail with a level of precision and warmth that is rare. She knows a wedding at The Sands inside and out, asked us questions about things we never would have thought to consider ourselves, and was on top of everything before we even had to ask. While other venues were organized, Olivia was in a different league entirely -- proactive, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our vision come to life. Together, she and Shannon were an absolute dream team, and when the weekend arrived, that partnership showed -- every moment, every transition, every vendor interaction went exactly as planned. The coordination was seamless, and as a couple we never once felt like we had to manage anything. We could not have asked for a better team.
We did a property buyout, and from the moment our guests arrived through the last song of the night, the weekend was everything we dreamed it would be. Our guests were blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the staff, the stunning decor of the rooms, and the overall atmosphere of the property. The Sands served as the perfect backdrop for the wedding we had always envisioned. Every corner is filled with thoughtful, beautiful detail, which made the whole space feel effortlessly elevated.
And the food. We cannot say enough. Executing perfectly cooked filet mignon and salmon for over 100 guests is genuinely hard to do — and The Sands pulled it off without missing a beat. Every course came out on time, the pacing was perfect, and our guests are still raving about the meal. The Pink Cabana's food is not your typical hotel catering — it's something else entirely.

Choosing The Sands Hotel & Spa for our wedding was by far the best decision I made when wedding planning. This boutique hotel offered us total privacy, as we booked the entire venue and had the hotel and pool to ourselves all weekend. The Sands provided everything we needed, from the stunning Olive Grove ceremony space to the amazing spa and The Pink Cabana restaurant, which is one of the top-rated in the Coachella Valley. The fact that all our events—ceremony, dinner, reception, and brunch—could take place in one location was a huge plus, and our guests could easily walk from their rooms to the ceremony.
We loved the hotel's location near the Nest Bar, The Living Desert Zoo, and El Paseo Shopping Area, which was perfect for our pre- and post-wedding events.
What truly stood out, though, was the incredible staff. Olivia Prescott, the event coordinator, was a dream to work with. She was always available, detailed, and made the planning process easy, offering great advice and solutions. Chef Jason also added a special French touch to our menu to honor my husband's family, making the food even more meaningful. The Pink Cabana’s food was unique and delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop complimenting it.
We are so grateful to everyone at The Sands for giving us the best weekend of our lives!

Getting married at Sands Hotel & Spa was a dream come true. We've cherished this place for years, and having our special day there was an absolute joy. The venue's stunning aesthetic, coupled with the exceptional service from the Sands team made our wedding unforgettable for not only us, but our loved ones.
From the moment we started planning with Olivia, the Sands Sales Director, we knew we were in the best hands. Olivia was more than just a planner; she became a trusted friend, guiding us through every step of the process with professionalism, care, and enthusiasm.
The Sands team's attention to detail throughout our wedding weekend was impeccable. They ensured that every aspect of our wedding was flawless, from the load in and prepping of decor to the dining experience and a curated menu (including allergy accommodations for guests and making our dreams of an espresso martini bar happen!). Their dedication and support made the entire weekend stress-free, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the celebration.
We are so grateful for the Sands Hotel & Spa team for making our wedding day a dream come true. Their expertise, kindness, and passion for creating unforgettable experiences made it the most special day of our lives and one that we will truly never forget.

We had our wedding at the Sands Hotel on June 1, 2024. From the moment we sent an initial inquiry, the professionalism, communication and service that we received over the past year of planning was truly amazing. Olivia Prescott was such a pleasure to work with. I don't think I've ever encountered someone with better attention to detail and faster communication. (Which is exactly what you want when planning a wedding!) She takes pride in what she does, was very accommodating with our requests, and she made the day more special than we could have ever imagined it to be.
We toured a few other venues in the Palm Springs area, and what solidified the Sands for us was that they include food, drinks, chairs, cutlery, etc in their package. It makes the planning process so much less stressful, and the Pink Cabana food is also AMAZING! You also get the entire hotel from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning with a buyout, so we were able to host a pool party on Friday along with welcome drinks in the evening, and no other hotel guests were there.
If you are considering the Sands for a wedding venue, please just SAY YES!! We have received so many compliments from our guests saying it's one of the best weddings they have been to and that the rooms/accommodations were so nice. Thank you Olivia and the Sands for making our day so wonderful. We will cherish the memories from this day forever! -

I can say only good things about the Sands. My daughter had her weekend wedding here. Everyone went above and beyond what was expected. The Sands hotel has so many different beautiful areas. Starting from the Friday pool party where our two families could get to know each other, the Olive Grove for a magical ceremony and the delicious reception around the pool. The whole weekend was perfect. The steak and salmon were cooked to perfection. Juicy not dry which is hard to do when you are serving 150 people. After the dancing in the Pink Cabana everyone went in the pool and hot tub. Where else can you do that.
This was an amazing wedding for the couple, their family and friends. -

The absolute best
I found Sands hotel on Instagram and I couldn’t be more grateful that I did! I immediately got in contact with Olivia to discuss using it as our wedding venue. From start to finish, Olivia and the entire staff were the most lovely, accommodating and just overall incredible team of people. When you’re guests you truly feel like royalty. The food is out of this world, the rooms are gorgeous and the hotel has the absolute best vibe. You feel like you’re in a different world and you’ll never want to leave. Our wedding went off without a hitch thanks to Oliva and the entire team, as well as all of the vendors they had suggested. We didn’t ever want the weekend to end. We will be back to enjoy a weekend or even just a night whenever possible. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it’s just the most magical place and I will cherish the memories forever! -

We had our dream wedding at The Sands in May 2023. When you combine The Sands uniquely intimate and stunning design with their world class team, you get pure magic. We had the best weekend of our lives, and many of our guests have told us it was the best wedding they've ever attended.
The Sands only hosts a handful of weddings a year, so the level of care they put into making each wedding run smooth and feel special is rare for the industry. From the first email to our wedding weekend and beyond, Olivia was not only proactively communicative and so professional, but made us feel like she had our back the entire way. She deeply understood our vision, our budget, and what was important to us, and made sure we were set up for success. Despite her busy schedule, we always felt like a priority and we truly felt lucky to have her on our side the whole way.
As for the venue itself, The Sands is just gorgeous. When you step into the lobby, you're transported to a different world. The pink walls lined with golden Bougainvillea in spring, Moroccan inspired patterns, and gorgeous landscaping flanking the pool is surreal. The Pink Cabana is already so funky and chic that all we did was add a disco ball and it looked cooler than many expensive wedding installs. Their food and beverage program is top notch and was another big reason we loved The Sands. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the Mediterranean family style dinner by the pool - such a highlight.
While getting every room filled for the wedding weekend buyout was a big task, the experience of having all our favorite people at the same hotel was unforgettable. The rooms and hospitality were fantastic. And, the buyout created a beautiful community and reunion of different family and friend groups that made it so easy to connect, amplifying the emotions and feels of the weekend.
We could go on for days about how incredible of a time we had. There's just something very special about this property, this team, this whole experience for a wedding. If we were given an unlimited budget and could have our wedding anywhere in the world, we'd do it at The Sands all over again.

We had our wedding weekend at The Sands in September and it was the best decision we could have made. We toured a lot of venues in the desert, but decided to go with Sands because everything felt so intimate. We are also that couple that truly appreciates every attention to detail.
From start to finish Olivia, Luiz and the entire team at Sands went above and beyond. I'll start with the tasting - we did our tasting two months before our wedding. We picked out our top picks from the menu and Olivia and the chef made recommendations according to our notes and taste. It was such a personal experience. Olivia sat with us the entire time, talking us through every little detail. My wedding planner who's done many tastings also said it was one of the best tasting experiences she's ever had.
A week before our wedding, we saw it was going to rain on our wedding weekend. Did you know it rains 14 days of the year in Indian Wells? Yea, same. My husband and I made the call to tent the entire venue. Something that's never been done at the Sands before. When I say a monsoon went through Indian Wells, I'm not kidding. It was pouring down rain on Friday. My planner and the entire Sands team kept me clam, if I didn't have them I would have had a complete meltdown lol. We were also so worried that guests were going to slip so Olivia, Luiz and her team went to Home Depot and bought a whole bunch of anti-slip rugs. They were SO accommodating to every single guest. Tents went up within a few hours and we were able to have our Welcome Party in the Olive Grove as planned. Thankfully, the rain subsided Saturday in time for our ceremony and dinner party.
Our weekend didn't got exactly as we planned, but we had a team that executed the weekend perfectly. We had people telling us that even with the desert monsoon, it was the best wedding they've ever been to because everything was seamless. Thank you so much Olivia and the team at Sands Hotel and Spa. Finding this sweet hidden gem was the start of what we call our WEDDING DREAM and our amazing VENDOR TEAM! Looking for a venue during a pandemic would've seemed like an overwhelming task, but once we met with Olivia Prescott over a zoom meeting, we felt super comfortable booking this venue site unseen. A short couple months later, we took a trip down for a little staycation and absolutely fell in love with all the beautiful design details, we never felt better about our decision! We felt like we were swept away into a Moroccan oasis and we knew that our guests would feel the same and we just couldn't wait for our big wedding weekend. Olivia connected me with Courtney from After the Engagement along with her dream team of vendors and made the planning process such a fun one! What a special way to celebrate our union by having our friends and family stay at this beautiful place, they all had nothing but praises and great things to say about the hotel, staff, food and drinks.. our friends now call us Mr. & Mrs. Sands LOL. The staff was amazing and attentive to all our guests all weekend long! Faith who led us in the tasting and sabored the champagne for our champagne tower toast was amazing. Olivia made sure that my husband and I were taken care of throughout the process and our wedding weekend. If you are looking to get married in Palm Springs, this venue is a must! The food and cocktails are just out of this world, especially for us foodies!
We can't wait to go back for our staycations or anniversary trips, the Sands will always hold a special place in our hearts! -

My husband and I had our wedding at Sands in early November, 2019 and it was the most incredible venue we could have ever imagined. We chose Sands for a few reasons, the most obvious being that it's an absurdly beautiful space. Every corner you look is filled with chic, thoughtful touches. If you're looking to save money on decor for a wedding look no further, this hotel IS the decor and our photos turned out spectacular. More than just being photogenic, this place just has good karma. You walk in and immediately feel good, and our guests have been going on and on about how much they enjoyed staying there.
The second reason we chose Sands (and what ended up being key to our experience ) was the manager there named Olivia. Olivia knows her sh*t and is the most organized, thoughtful person you'll work with. We met with so many other venue managers in the area who seemed completely scattered or downright snotty. Olivia is neither of those things. She knows how to run a tight ship while making the process relaxing and fun. She made ALL the difference in the event, and the volume of typical venue headaches we avoided because of her is huge.
The last, and truly most spectacular reason this venue was amazing came down to the staff and service. When you stay at Sands, you feel like family. The staff are so kind, so attentive, and the service is first class. The food available at the Pink Cabana is also ludicrously delicious, and our guests raved about how good the dinner and snacks were at the event. My husband and I are big foodies with a shameless interest in good wine and this was available in spades at the venue.
We can't say enough good things about this place - if you're thinking of staying for a vacation, or hosting a memorable event, this is the place for you. I would dare to say there isn't another place in the desert you could find as special as this one. -

Stunning venue and impeccable service!
I CANNOT say enough incredible things about the Sands Hotel & Spa as a wedding venue - from their level of service, quality of food and drink and incredible staff! My husband and I live in Chicago and pretty much planned everything from afar but felt totally at ease throughout the entire process thanks to Olivia Prescott (Director of Sales). She is knowledgeable about local vendors and beyond accommodating and turned our wedding day into a dream wedding weekend that beyond exceeded our expectations. Olivia is also VERY responsive throughout the entire planning process and always on top of things - she thinks of every detail and more! Along with our wedding, the Sands also hosted our Friday pool party and set up a bar by the pool, as well as a Sunday breakfast buffet by the pool. Every guest could not believe how delicious every meal and drink was throughout the entire weekend! During our tasting you sit down with the Pink Cabana’s sommelier and discuss wines and help create your signature cocktails! We and all of our guests did not want the wedding to end and the venue was beyond accommodating by extending the reception. And the venue itself makes a STUNNING backdrop - so many incredible photos! -

Desert Dream
This venue is what wedding dreams are made of. We booked the entire venue for a Friday wedding and Saturday pool party and it was magical. We loved having our friends and family onsite for the entire weekend and absolutely loved working with Olivia Prescott, who manages the property. I am so grateful we found this gem and it will forever be the most special place to us! -
