We fell in love with Salt Creek Golf Club when we first toured it and knew that it was the perfect spot for us to celebrate our special day. It is truly a hidden gem. There were several unique features to the space. The reception room has a fireplace with a mantle, and there are also built-in bookshelves on either side of the fireplace that you can decorate. It gave the room a very homey vibe. There is also a covered outdoor patio with tables and chairs, an outdoor fireplace, and a small fish pond. Our guests enjoyed going between the patio and the reception room. The venue was also recently updated, so the space looks bright and welcoming. The food was delicious, and they take care to cater to special dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian. They coordinate with a local bakery for the cake, and they helped take care of all of the ordering and logistics for it. Another aspect that helped sell us on the space was that we were allowed to come in the day before the wedding to get the room set up and decorated, and we didn’t have to clean up the decorations until the next day. Most other venues that we spoke to wouldn’t let us set up until the day of, and required us to get everything out that night at the end of the reception.
Everyone at Salt Creek Golf Club was so nice, welcoming, and helpful. Renee did such an amazing job helping coordinate everything for our wedding reception. She went above and beyond to help us create our dream wedding day. We appreciated her attention to detail and her willingness to answer all of our questions. Everything during the planning process and on the day of the wedding went so smoothly thanks to her. We are also grateful for her knowledge of great spots on the golf course to take pictures -- we love how those shots turned out! We are so glad that we chose to have our wedding reception at Salt Creek Golf Club–we can’t imagine having it anywhere else! -

We can not express how pleased we were with the whole process. From the initial scheduling to see the venue to the the very end of our wedding night we have no regrets with our decision. Renee Carrell was upfront and professional from the start. She made sure our special requests were met. She was the best at answering every single question we had within a timely matter. And with our wedding be prime wedding season, she was still amazing with everything from communication to the day of.
We had 136 guest attend our wedding. The space of the venue was way more then enough. We were hoping for our ceremony to be outside but due to rain it ended up indoors. LOVE that they were able to accommodate. They broke down the ceremony part so professionally and quickly so cocktail hour could start within moments after. The food was outstanding. Not a single guest had a bad thing to say and intact we had so many guest tell us how great the food was.
Over all we loved the experience. I the Bride wish we had more decor as this venue is bigger then it appears to one who doesn't have a designer eye! -

We really enjoyed our experience working with Renee at Salt Creek Golf Club! We got married back on September 7th and are so happy we chose Salt Creek for our special day. It was the perfect venue offering space for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and was gorgeous for taking wedding photos. Renee was a great asset to have while wedding planning, so much so that we didn't need to hire a wedding coordinator. She was always prompt to respond to emails leading up to wedding day and helped us plan our entire day start to finish at our tasting. Salt Creek only books one wedding per weekend which was perfect for us because on Friday we were able to go set everything up and have a rehearsal so that Saturday could be stress free. The only negative I could say is that dinner service was a bit slow due to a server calling off that day but the staff did their best and the food came out hot and delicious! I highly recommend Salt Creek Golf Club! -

Perfect wedding venue!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Renee was amazing! She helped us throughout the planning process, and answered all the questions and/or concerns we had along the way.
The staff was incredible, too! Very friendly and hard working. They kept checking in throughout to make sure everything was running smoothly, and to see if we needed anything throughout the night.
Food was absolutely phenomenal!! So many guests commented on how all the food was absolutely delicious.
Also, everyone loved the cake! We especially liked that the cake was included in the package, so it was one less thing we had to worry about, and it was delicious!
10/10!! -

This venue was perfect for our wedding of 130. The event space is beautiful, and can be designed to your liking. The food was amazing, and Renee the event manager puts so much time and effort into making sure everything is perfect. She is dedicated, and made our wedding run so smoothly. The communication was great and made me feel so confident going into our wedding day. I cannot say enough about how great the staff were at Salt creek. -

Renee was amazing to work with. She coordinated everything, met with us when we were touring venues, organized our food and cake tasting, and coordinated the ceremony and reception for our guests. The servers did excellent, and the bar staff was amazing. We truly had the best wedding. Everything was beautiful and our guests gave so many compliments. -

Renee and her staff provided us with phenomenal service at such an affordable price. Renee was always responsive and flexible, moving our outdoor ceremony indoors when it rained and supporting me and my husband when things with other vendors and even our families went sideways. There’s always going to be a thing or two about your wedding day that doesn’t turn out perfect, but Salt Creek Golf Club was NOT that. They were more than perfect and went out of their way to make the not-so-great things better again. We are more than grateful for them! -

My husband and I got married at Salt Creek Gold Club in September 2023 and could not be any happier with our experience. Renee was so helpful throughout the entire process and was responsive to any questions or requests we had throughout the process. The venue itself is gorgeous. The amount of customization we were able to do was really fun. The food was delicious, especially the appetizers. The use of the outdoor patio throughout the night was great for out guests. Overall, we had an amazing experience and the staff made our day truly special. We would recommend Salt Creek to anyone! -

Highly Recommend Salt Creek Golf Club!
We can't say enough great things about our 8/12/23 wedding experience at Salt Creek Golf Club. Renee (the food/beverage/event coordinator) was so attentive and genuinely cared about us as a couple. She helped us throughout the whole planning process and was very involved on the wedding weekend to make sure everything went perfectly. The whole staff was incredible (the servers, bartenders, chef/kitchen, set-up crew) were so kind, and genuinely wanted our wedding to be perfect. They were so nice and friendly to us and our guests and took care of everything. The food, appetizers, and drinks were all great, and very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Another huge bonus is that we had access to the facility Friday-Sunday, so we we were able to set everything up and have our rehearsal on Friday, have the wedding on Saturday, and come back and pick everything up on Sunday. It was so great to not have to do anything except for have fun and get married on Saturday! The ceremony space was beautiful, the outdoor patio space was loved by our guests, and the inside reception space came together absolutely perfectly. There were also really great places for photos near the ceremony space and out on the golf course. Renee will take you out on the course for couples photos after the ceremony (if wanted). We looked at many other venues and Salt Creek was by far the best both in terms of price/value and the visuals of the ceremony and reception space. We highly recommend Salt Creek Golf Club! -

Renee was an absolute pleasure to work with and totally invested in our wedding process and planning. She was so comforting and accommodating. She checked in with us to make sure we were staying on track. Several months out from our wedding when I had questions, she would always give me a quick phone call to discuss our needs. She was so helpful in putting together our timeline. On the wedding day, she and her team made sure everything we had planned was taking place and allowed us to focus on enjoying every minute of the day. Thank you, Renee and Salt Creek! -

No Regrets
Renee & her team made not only our wedding day but the overall process smooth and successful!!!! If I had any questions along the way regarding the venue she was always highly responsive! We got nothing but great feedback from our big day!!! My husband and I got to enjoy the day with the help of her and her team. Food was fantastic as well as quantity! Amazing Venue!
Beautiful and cozy Venue. Renee is a GEM to works with and makes sure all goes well. I loved the lights over the dance floor, the high top tables around the bar were always full and the bar itself is a great size. The added outdoor space and fireplaces are just charming. I loved that you had the whole building to yourself. Just a great night! -

The Perfect Venue
We fell in love with Salt Creek Golf Club immediately. It's a beautiful space with a bright, open interior with big windows and a lot of natural light. There is also an outdoor patio with gorgeous string lights. The ceremony location is beautifully landscaped and the golf course was a beautiful place to take pictures. The food was amazing. The variety they offer and the attention to detail was perfect and all of our guests loved the meal. The service was outstanding. The bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff are friendly and all worked so hard to make sure our wedding was perfect. The Sales Manager, Renee, is a fantastic person and made sure everything went smoothly from the moment we booked to the end of our wedding. She was able to give us guidance and ideas that we never would have been able to manage on our own. This was an amazing place to have our wedding thanks to both the location and the staff! -

Our local reception was such a wonderful event! Our guests commented positively on all aspects of the evening, from the lovely atmosphere to the delicious food and attentive service. I know that Renee's skill and attention to detail have a great deal to do with this success. We're very grateful for her ability to stay on top of all the details both before and during the reception.
We would highly recommend Salt Creek Golf Course to anyone looking to hold an event. Thanks to Renee and the entire staff for helping us celebrate our daughter and son-in-law's marriage! -

This venue was absolutely stunning! We were drawn to the large windows and views of the gorgeous golf course. The windows bring in a lot of natural light, which let's be honest, you won't get in any typical banquet hall. In addition, you do not share the building with any other couples, and you have the whole outdoor patio to use, as well.
Our wedding planning experience was so smooth from start to finish. Renee was extremely helpful and responsive. She even helped with last minute requests. She was able to take my vision from an idea to reality. We received multiple compliments that the food was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The staff at Salt Creek were extremely friendly and quick to help out. I would 10,000% recommend this place! -

Salt Creek is the best in every way. Because it is connected to Wood Dale park district it is like having a wedding at a country club but a way more affordable price. The outdoor space is beautiful and the indoor banquet room is huge and an amazing blank slate. I was able to do exactly what I wanted in the room. The main reason why picked Salt Creek though was the staff. The wedding coordinator Renee is unbelievably amazing. She will work tirelessly to get you exactly what you want. The staff worked so hard on our wedding and gave great service. Renee makes sure everything is in order so you do not have to worry or think about anything on your big day. After meeting Renee, that is when my husband and I knew we wanted to get married at Salt Creek. I could not recommend this place more! -

A Perfect Day!
Salt Creek was absolutely the perfect venue for our wedding. Renee did an amazing job communicating with us throughout the planning process. She was so incredibly easy to talk to and was one of the main reasons we decided on Salt Creek in the first place. On the day of our wedding, Renee went above and beyond adding special touches to our decorations, put a personalized slideshow on the marquee, and made everything look perfect. I had zero stress about our venue thanks to Renee.
The food at Salt Creek is also phenomenal. Prior to our wedding, we ordered their curbside meals and EVERY single thing I have eaten from Salt Creek has been amazing. After our wedding, we got a TON of compliments as well. A lot of our guests told us that it was the best wedding food they have ever had.
In addition to Renee, the rest of the staff wqs also incredibly friendly, kind, and professional. The bartenders kept drink lines short and our guests loved the themed "signature drinks" we planned for them.
Finally, the venue itself is beautiful. Our ceremony pictures outside with the arch are absolutely gorgeous and Renee took us to a beautiful spot on golf carts for additional pictures. We also loved decorating the fireplace/bookshelves inside. Those shelves gave our event the perfect personal touch.
In addition, there are tons of hotels nearby that offer free shuttle service to and from Salt Creek. Some of the hotels also have beautiful spots for pictures if you want more than one picture location.
Our day was absolutely perfect and I'm so glad we chose Salt Creek!

Salt Creek Golf Club was an amazing venue. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone and change our venue. We were so glad we chose Renee at Salt Creek! Renee really pulled through to make our day perfect and feel special. Attentive, strong attention-to-detail, and very easy to get a hold of...she will execute your vision without a doubt. I was so excited when we found Salt Creek because it was so different from all the venues we have seen, namely banquet halls. This hidden gem has a beautiful interior with a fireplace we got to decorate and personalize along with a roomy patio with an outside fireplace and a koi pod that many of our guests enjoyed. Renee was so great to work with and helped me turn my vision into reality for a truly special day - we had a navy blue and mauve color theme. When it comes to food she also made the best recommendations that all of our guests enjoyed. The food is truly top notch. While the actual big day flew by, our guests will remember the fun and comfort they had a Salt Creek for our wedding. I actually did recommend this to my friend and am excited to enjoy Salt Creek once more next year. -

Renee was an absolute life savior for us. Due to COVID-19, we had to reschedule our big wedding but still wanted to get married and needed something small and affordable but still nice in a pretty short time frame. Salt Creek Golf Club EXCEEDED our expectations!!!! From the beginning, Renee was an absolute pleasure and blast to work with. She listened to what we wanted and made it happen. She was there for us beyond what you would expect and made what could have been a really stressful time into a breeze. Our wedding night was amazing and I could not have asked for anything more. We were very pleased with our wedding at Salt Creek Golf Club. The facility looks as great as it appears in the pictures. We planned our wedding from out of state and Renee and her team could not have been better in helping us coordinate details from a far. She was very accommodating for when we could meet and coordinate the details. She did a great job of making our event amazing from start to finish and every little detail looked perfect. The facility was clean and the service was excellent. We got a lot of great compliments from guest on the layout of the bar, dance floor, patio, and dinner area! Shawna Sent on 08/20/2013I don't think I'll ever be able to say enough amazing things about this place. By the day of our wedding, the staff had become family and our day was absolutely perfect. The food was stellar, we had quite a few weddings the same year as ours and everyone said that our food stole the show. Nothing bland, so flavorful, delicious, etc. Eleni was my rock through this whole planning. Anything I asked for, she was able to help make it happen. The ladies at the bar, the servers, even the golf pros helped to make my day absolutely amazing. I was able to get out on the course to take some action shots of me teeing off (I'm a former collegiate golfer, so this was important). Literally after everything was winding down for the night, I ran around and hugged everyone that helped that day. That staff there is seriously top notch. Love SCGC -

The outdoor ceremony was beautiful and the service during dinner and at the bar was exceptional. I am so glad to have had my wedding there. They were willing to work with me and my budget as well.

We loved have our wedding at Salt Creek Golf Club, and Renee is an AMAZING venue coordinator. It was a joy to work with her- she was very organized, communicative and helpful. She helped make the planning process pretty seamless and stress free! Salt Creek is a beautiful venue and the staff was also so friendly and accommodating as well. Our only wish was that the wedding party would have been allowed to arrive to the venue at least a whole 2 hrs before the ceremony as I didn’t feel like there was enough time to get all the photos I wanted. Other than that, no complaints! Overall, it was a great experience and a magical day! Thank you Renee and team! -

Beautiful and Affordable Venue
We had only our reception at Salt Creek and it turned out perfect! We had a really hard time finding a venue because the minimum were very high for Saturday. Salt Creek was very affordable but the space was still very beautiful. The venue has an outdoor patio right off the reception. The patio is very nice size and covered. Also has a coy pond and wood burning fireplace.
The inside space, you do have to bring in our own decor. They have a fireplace shelving unit that we decorated. The space feels very intimate and inviting. It turned out very beautiful and personalized.
I will say they are more strict and aren’t as flexible with things out of the box. Like if you wanted an ice cream truck show up or stuff like that.
The food was very good. They accommodated gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. Overall I am extremely happy with salt creek! -

Salt Creek was a great venue during these times. They have a beautiful set up for outdoor ceremonys, and patio for cocktail hour with a gorgeous big fireplace to be lit once dark out. For being a golf club I never expected the food to be as great as it was, and the staff always went above and beyond the whole day! Definitely recommend Salt Creek Golf Club for your upcoming wedding! -
