Amazing Experience!

Five-Star Service / All-Inclusive Event
If you're looking for a regal wedding / reception space with top-notch service, hotel and restaurants on site, definitely consider Saint John's Resort in Plymouth. The staff, service and amenities are unmatched. Our guests raved about everything: hotel accommodations, on-site restaurants, the Chapel, appetizer, plated dinner, bar offerings and overall service and ambiance. The Presidential Suite was the perfect getting ready space for the entire bridal party the morning of the big day.-

The Most Magical Day
Saint John's Resort is the most magical place to get married in December. The holiday decorations were absolutely gorgeous and made for some great pictures. Our wedding day was smooth and any minor problems that came up were taken care of quickly by the staff. The convenience of having the chapel, reception room, and hotel all in the same building was priceless for both my husband and I, and the wedding guests. Christine was consistent and super helpful throughout the entire process from touring the venue, all the way to the wedding day.Saint John's Resort's reply:

Best Reception Venue
We could not have imagined a better wedding day than we had. It was seriously a fairytale wedding. We had our reception in the atrium. Everything was set up flawlessly. The service was amazing. The people who work here are so attentive. They offered to take our dinner and save it for us under a warmer and deliver it to our room after the night was over because we never sat down! We worked with Manda Lawson who was there with us every step of the way. I cannot recommend her more! She made everything so easy! We also worked with Lindsay Omelia and Emily Monti who were both amazing as well. Thank you so much for making our day perfect and so so brautiful! -

Fairytale perfection
I found this venue with my daughter, for her 11.02.2019 wedding this past weekend. We met with Manda well over a year ago and she took care of us along the entire journey. We live in the area, so it was not a destination wedding for us, but we had many out of town guests. Fortunately, the guest rooms at The Inn were beautiful and plentiful and accommodated many of our guests.
It was a weekend affair! Friday was the rehearsal in the amazingly beautiful European style chapel, followed by a great and delicious rehearsal dinner at 5ive Steakhouse. After that, we spilled out onto the main floor of 5ive to mingle with our other guests who had joined us for the welcome reception.
Saturday, the couple was married in the chapel, followed by more partying at 5ive and then into the unbelievably gorgeous Atrium for cocktail hour and the reception. Absolutely stunning and perfect!
Sunday, all of the guests who were still in town joined us for a send-off buffet breakfast. Again, absolutely beautiful, organized, well-run and perfect.
So those are the details. This property is an amazing hidden gem. It has everything a couple might need for their wedding day/weekend. We had so many compliments from everyone, in and out of town!
But it had to be more than the property itself to prompt me to leave this review. That’s where this highly trained staff enters the picture. They turned this beautiful, picturesque property into the fairytale wedding of my daughter’s and her husband’s dreams! Manda (sales manager) helped me take my and my daughter’s vision and turn it into reality. Manda worked tirelessly, patiently and thoroughly with me and everyone at St. John’s. Some of the other outstanding people we worked with were Kathy (chapel), Emily (The Inn), Lindsay (bookkeeping and someone to reach out to when Manda had a day off), Mistie (5ive), the banquet captain’s, servers, Connor (breakfast) and on and on. There were so many people who did their jobs flawlessly. I am sorry I cannot name them all and give them all the credit that they deserve, but without exception, they are a well-trained staff who does their job quietly and professionally. They are truly a service- and customer- oriented crew.
I strongly recommend this venue, to anybody wishing for the royal treatment! -

Easy to Work with, Beautiful Location!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! We held our ceremony and reception here. Everything was amazing, and super easy to plan. The folks here are true professionals- we didn’t feel the need for a wedding planner or day of coordinator because weddings are what they do, and they do it well. The food was absolutely incredible, and planning with Christine was a breeze and a delight. If you’re looking for stress free planning and an absolutely gorgeous location, this is your place! It’s definitely worth a look if you’re looking around- the intro info packet is super helpful, and there are tons of pictures online to help show what they transform the reception spaces into. -

The Perfect Venue!
The Inn at St. John's exceeded our expectations for our wedding! From the planning period to the actual day, they were incredible! We had the honor of working with Ella. reception perfection
We held our wedding reception in the Atrium at the Inn. When I first saw pictures of the Atrium I knew that we needed to have our wedding there. We began working with Linda, who was lovely, to create our perfect wedding day. We were unable to join the large group menu tasting so they arranged a private tasting for us and even surprised us with champagne since it was our anniversary. Linda was away on leave and Ella took over coordinating in our final few weeks. The transition was very smooth and Ella handled all of our final decisions and last minute questions. On the day of the wedding I was blown away with how beautiful the room looked. The serving team was amazing and took such great care of the wedding party and made sure we always had food, drinks and anything else we possibly needed/wanted. We received compliments all night about how great the service was and are still having people compliment the service a month later. I would not hesitate to recommend having your wedding at the Inn. The Atrium is absolutely beautiful and the staff from the wedding coordinators, to the servers, to the bartenders all make sure that everything is perfect on the day of your wedding. -

This place holds special meaning for my husband and I. He proposed in the chapel here and we got married in it and it is absolutely beautiful! We also had our reception in one of the small ballrooms and everything went so smoothly. The staff here is so well-managed, it took much of the stress out of planning our wedding. The catering was top-notch, and all the employees helping plan our wedding/reception were helpful as can be. It was almost like having a wedding planner! All our guests were gushing over The Inn at St. John's after our wedding. If you want a beautiful Catholic chapel, and less wedding stress I highly highly recommend. Also, the Atrium is stunning! -

Spectacular, gorgeous, fantastic! Every positive word that you can think of could be used to describe the experience of planning a wedding at the Inn at St. John's. My husband and I got married at the Inn in June 2018 and could not have been happier with how it turned out. We held our rehearsal dinner, reception and day after brunch at the Inn at St. John's. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and perfectly executed 3 different events during our wedding weekend. From the chapel, the Grande Ballroom, the gorgeous grounds, and the beautiful hotel, the Inn at St. John's is a magnificent venue and we would select it again 1000 times. Although all of the staff were wonderful, Linda Johnson, our wedding coordinator, went above and beyond! She is so incredibly nice, well organized, and just knows weddings better than anyone ever could. We enjoyed working with her so much and just want to say thank you to her and to the entire staff for creating a true fairytale wedding for us and for going above and beyond to make sure it flowed perfectly! We would highly recommend the Inn at St. John's to anyone and could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding to start our lives together. Thanks again for everything! It was an exquisite experience! -

This was hands down the most fabulous venue! We were so well taken care of! Our wedding coordinator went above and beyond. We had an issue with our wedding cake and she contacted the baker to make sure there was something available for my guests! The food was incredible, the Atrium was gorgeous, and the service was amazing! Loved every moment of my reception from start to finish! -

I still still cannot get over how absolutely gorgeous our wedding was. I would recommend the Inn at St. John's absolutely anyone, without hesitation. From our initial meeting with Ella, you could really tell how much she cared about making our day the best it could be. Ella was constantly available by phone or email and always willing to help and offer advice when needed. She always had a way of calming me down with my crazy off the wall questions. The day of the wedding was PERFECT. My husband and I are still talking about how impressed we were with everything. The day of coordinators were a huge help with all of my decor and extra stuff like table numbers, place cards, guest book and bathroom baskets, etc....everything was exactly how I wanted it! Our guests are also still talking about the quality of service, how great the food was and how perfect their steaks were cooked, the drinks and how generous the bar tenders were, the hotel rooms, the staff, everything. I could go on and on. I could not be happier with our wedding and will continue to recommend the Inn to anyone looking for a beautiful reception venue. The Grande Ballroom is simply beautiful. We are extremely happy with this venue! Our guests continue to rave that it was the best wedding they attended. The staff are excellent, the grounds are breathtaking, food is divine, and I can go on and on! I hear horror stories of brides extremely stressed on their wedding day. This was not the case for me and I attribute it the staff. Linda was on top of it! She pulled everything together for us. Janette V., Colleen, Jenna K. and Shante P. were all so helpful and very prompt with responses. Kathy K. helped tremendously with our ceremony as well as Cathy and Peggy. This was my dream wedding! -

The Inn at St. John's gave me my dream wedding! The venue is beautiful. All of our wedding photos from the hallways, the chapel, the hotel rooms, everywhere are gorgeous. Everyone is organized and communicated with me throughout the entire process. The food was delicious from our reception to brunch the next morning. Kudos to The Inn at St. John's , they do AMAZING work! I got married there on NYE 2016 and everything was just perfect! They know what they are doing and are so good at what they do. We just had our wedding at the Inn at St. John's and we could not be happier! All of their staff, especially Stacy Davis (event planning) and Kathy (chapel coordinator), are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are friendly, professional, and willing to accommodate literally anything you need or want throughout the entire experience.
We stayed in the Presidential Suite and used it for the rehearsal dinner and for getting ready on the morning of the wedding. We took bridal party pictures in the waterfall garden and in the hotel. We had our ceremony in the beautiful chapel and used Fr. Tom from St. Kenneth Parish in Plymouth, MI (who was absolutely hilarious, by the way). And we had our reception in the Grande Ballroom. Everything went exactly as we had hoped, and we had ISJ staff around us practically at all times to make sure that anything we needed was taken care of.
The Inn at St. John's checks all the boxes for a dream wedding. The grounds and every building/room are breathtaking, the music is classy, the service is impeccable, and the food is beyond compare. I am so glad we chose to have our wedding here, I wouldn't change a thing! -

I am the grandmother (and wedding planner) of the bride. This is a beautiful, beautiful venue, with an exquisite chapel and professional staff that go above and beyond the highest of expectations. They made my granddaughter's wedding day the "Princess Wedding" that she deserved. -

We had our wedding reception at the Inn at St. John's in the Atrium. It was absolutely stunning! The Inn at St. John's was extremely organized and kept in communication to assure that everything was ready for the big night! Everything that we had wanted our reception to look like was executed beautifully and more! It was nice being able to enjoy our wedding weekend and not having to set up any of it. The food and service was amazing. We had a ton of compliments the entire night starting with the venue, to the food, hotel rooms, bar, servers, etc. It was truly a fairytale wedding and everything went flawlessly. I have been working with Ella to coordinate my wedding at the inn at St. John's. The wedding is on November 28th and has not yet occurred, but I have a feeling that the wedding will go off without a hitch. They do so many weddings that they have many small details ironed out. They help coordinate the way the room is set up, help to offer suggestions that have worked for other weddings, and have many vendors that they work with on a consistent basis . Often times if I e-mail Ella she will get back to me outside of office hours which I was not expecting when I booked this venue. It shows that Ella goes above and beyond my expectations to deliver excellent service, and calm the nerves of a future bride! I would recommend working with them as their packages are all-inclusive, they think of all the details, and are easy to talk to and coordinate with. -

Not only is the space beautiful - they did a wonderful job setting it up. Very helpful throughout the entire planning process - but what impressed me the most was the staff on the evening of our event. We had our own 'personal attendant' (don't think that was his official title - but that's what it felt like :) ) - way to make the Bride and Groom feel special! (We even joked about wanted to take him home with us :) ). -

Stop looking and book here. It was wonderful, all of our guests loved how everything was all in one place. Plus it made planning soooo much easier. At any point in the night your guests could leave and go up to thier rooms for a moment. Perfect for guests with children, or the elders. Plus we didn't have to hire a limo or leave to shoot pictures, the Inn has many wonderful locations which our Photographer took full advantage of. You also have the opportunity to try everything on their menu at Grand tasting, so hard to choose everything that comes out of the kitchen is so good! Linda, and her staff did a wonderful job!!!! We wouldn't change a thing. -

The venue is absolutely beautiful. The staff was the best I have seen out of any wedding I have ever been to. They ensured the room was setup for us before the wedding, they made all the transitions seamlessly, the food was brought out very quick and was hot and there was never more than a minute or two wait at the bar (we had a decent sized guest list of 161). We were very pleased working with our wedding coordinator, Ella, as she laid out all the expectations for us ahead of time so there were never any surprises. Overall it was a phenomenal venue and we heard nothing but top of the line feedback from our guests! Highly recommended! -

I tend to have this imagine that always disappoints me! I imagine things in my head that never turn out exactly how I wanted. I can not express how impressed I was with the Inn at St. John's. It looked better than I imagined it which is truly a rarity and I can not thank them enough for having such fantastic service. Literally every single experience related to my wedding was flawless. This venue is absolutely stunning. Everything was organized and professional from beginning to the end. The church is beyond beautiful. Everything on wedding night was absolutely perfect. The food, from cocktail hour to dessert, was above and beyond delicious and the white glove service was phenomenal. We have heard nothing but rave reviews from all the guests. St. John was my wedding venue for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Ever heard the phrase you get what you pay for? This is very true for this place. It was the most expensive place my now husband and I looked at but worth every penny! Andrea Hanson was our wedding event manager and she was absolutely amazing! Everything is SO organized and professional from booking through wedding night. The chapel is exquisite and does not need a lot of decor and same goes for the grande ballroom. Everything that night from the timeline, the food, the alcohol, etc. was absolutely perfect - and the service is in fact white glove. My guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was, how the service was top notch, and how good the food was. If you can swing it, definitely go to St. John's, you will not be let down. -

The Inn at St John's was more than I ever dreamed for my wedding. The staff on all levels was attentive, professional and caring of any need. Our coordinator Andrea was so helpful and had creative suggestions which made our wedding special. Our guests were very happy with their accommodations.

I had my reception in the Atrium and it was so pretty. I feel they went above and beyond to make sure everything went smooth. The food was delicious, they asked each table about allergies just to be sure which was nice. They were prompt on meal service and stayed on the timeline all night. I worked with Andrea and she was great, so quick to respond and very friendly. They are so organized which makes you feel at ease. I highly recommend them for your reception!! -

We had our ceremony at the Chapel and the reception in the Atrium of the Inn at St. John's, and it was truly a fairy tale! We are still getting compliments from our guests on the beautiful venue, amazing food, and friendly and attentive service! My husband and I even had our own waiter during the reception! They were very flexible in allowing us to change menus and add different options for lighting, appetizers, desserts, bar, etc. There is a reason that they are booked so far in advance and you definitely get a lot for your money. They are truly the best of the best! Also, the staff for the Chapel and the catering managers are really easy to work with. If you want an exceptional wedding, this is the place to go! You cannot go wrong with anything here and they are definitely worth the wait! -

Our wedding was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and the people there were wonderful to work with and so very helpful! They made planning an absolute breeze! There were only a couple problems. We requested that they make a substitution of asparagus for the vegetable stack; they didn't make the substitution. The bartenders were supposed to be instructed that all of my bridesmaids were of drinking age; they weren't, but when I told them that they served them. (This was only a problem because obviously none of them had their purses, ie their IDs). Also one of my guests was not 21 and someone was sneaking her alcohol. This was a problem and I had the person in charge of the event and and her assistant bombard me mid reception and tell me if people did not stop sneaking her drinks they would shut down the bars. I understood why this was a problem and their concern; however I was the BRIDE and they were actually instructed by our catering manager that if there were any problems to speak to my father and mother. They should have taken the issue up with them and not the BRIDE. I spent almost a year planning the wedding and I should have been able to enjoy my wedding with no stress and they should have spoken to my parents; not me.
Other than those few very small problems, I was VERY happy with St. Johns. :) -

The Inn at St Johns is fantastic for a wedding reception. The building and grounds are beautiful. There are so many great places for photos and the history of the building makes in unique. The reception rooms are all gorgeous and I loved the high ceilings. The service at the Inn at St Johns is always excellent. The wedding coordiantor was wonderful and very detailed. The food was excellent and all came out at the same time for everyone which was great. The hotel being attached is also a great feature as once the reception is over, you can head to your room! I highly recommend the Inn at St Johns for a wedding reception. -

We had our July 2012 wedding reception in the Atrium Room at the Inn at St. John's. The room made a statement all on it's own and all of our guests raved about the venue and service. The staff, including my coordinator, Ella were excellent. They were reliable, prompt, professional and accommodating. Also, the hotel was very nice. We enjoyed our two night stay and we will certainly visit again for an anniversary. The only downside was that the price tag was shocking. You definitely pay for the impeccable service and venue. -

The Inn at St. Johns was absolutely breath taking when we saw it at our marriage retreat. My husband and I knew we had to get married in the chapel there and have our reception there. The chapel is to die for! Our guests gave us so many compliments on the chapel and wedding hall. They said it was even prettier than the Royal wedding. We were in the Grand Ballroom and it was absolutely beautiful. i did not have to worry about one thing the whole night because Kathleen our coordinator took such good care of us for the whole planning process. She was on top of everything and was so organized and answered back to you within that day you emailed her. I did not have to stress about anything. I would highly recommend St Johns to anyone planning a wedding. -

My reception was absolutely PERFECT! What more can I say? My reception was in the Atrium Room - which was breathtaking! My guests cannot stop raving about the venue!!! I've gotten more compliments than I can count!
The staff was very accommodating and professional. Linda was our coordinator at St. Johns and she was WONDERFUL! She helped us through the planning of every last detail. She made sure everything had my approval and was set up according to my guidelines the day of the wedding. I could not have asked for a better, more smoothly run reception. The food was dellicious and the bartenders even remembered my guest's drinks of choice and had refills waiting.

The Inn at St. Johns was the perfect place for my wedding ceremony and reception. The chapel is gorgeous and the coordinators were completely on top of every tiny detail during the rehearsal and actual ceremony.
We worked with Kathleen Reid for our reception, which was held in the Grand Ballroom and she was an outstanding coordinator. Kathleen was always available to help answer any questions and accommodate any of our requests. The servers to bartenders were so quick on their feet and were always greeting our guests with a smile.
My wedding was PERFECT and I have to thank The Inn at St. Johns for that!

I live out of state, but grew up in Metro Detroit. Having my wedding at St. John's was the best decision I could have made! The location is easily accessible for anyone living in the area, as well as very convenient to Detroit Metro airport and Ann Arbor. The guests LOVED staying at St. John's, and we even had a pre-wedding brunch, a golf outing, and the rehearsal dinner right on site! Plus, we didn't have to worry about transportation between the ceremony/reception, or going anywhere else for pictures! The hotel and grounds are beautiful! The chapel is spectacular and the musicians/cantors are wonderful! In addition, the reception hall staff were SO wonderful and SO helpful! They helped us with EVERYTHING, even things we expected to do ourselves. They were extraordinarily accommodating to every request (even the ridiculous ones!). Ella was our catering manager and MaryAnn was our banquet captain. We could not have been happier with them! Plus, the food was really fantastic (at every meal!), at both the hotel restaurant and the reception hall. Honestly, our guests were ooh-ing and ah-ing about St. John's all weekend long! We had a fantastic experience and I couldn't have asked for anything more!!! -

Kathleen Reid (the events coordinator) was literally unbelievable. I planned the wedding from out of state and therefore had to send my mother most of the time. To my surprise she often called me during meetings and put me on speaker phone. She responded to every email the same day. ( I sent tons of emails!). She was also so helpful at developing a menu and package to fit my needs (and budget). For such a high class and high value reception site she really worked to create a whole wedding that was a literally my dream wedding. I had NOTHING but compliments regarding the whole experience from my guests. The hotel staff was so attentive and they took my mother (and I) (and my sisters) through the hotel multiple times, each time I was home from out of state. They sent multiple updates regarding my guests' hotel reservations. They were simply amazing. We also had the ceremony in the Chapel. WOW! The wedding coordinators sent a CD and DVD to help choose singers, instraments, readings etc. They organized (with my wishes) the ceremony and ran the rehearsal . They are so talented and really know how to make a wedding perfect. -

The reception was at The Grand Ballroom at The Inn at St. John's. We loved it here and they treated us like royalty. All our guests loved the inn because everything was right there: the chapel, the reception and their hotel room. They did not have to leave unless they had to. We worked with Linda Johnson and she a great and caring person. She had a lot to put up with when it came to our wedding and she dealt with everything with a smile A+.

My husband and I were planning our wedding from California, so it was crucial we found a ceremony and reception venue that would be in touch with us often and help make our day how we wanted it. The moment we stepped foot on the Inn at St. John's property, I knew that's where it would be. Touring the grounds further increased this feeling... and seeing the Atrium cemented it. Throughout the entire planning process, our sales manager (who was really like a wedding coordinator), Ella Graubarth, was AMAZING. So sweet, so thorough, advising us in so many ways, but letting us make the final decisions. She was a huge help and really made it all come together. The chapel is breath-taking and unique, and the Atrium is elegant and much different than a typical reception hall... think Tavern on the Green. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the servers were excellent (even wearing white gloves at our request). Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful from start to finish! -

Everything went smoothly and wonderfully. The food was delicious. We received so many compliments on the venue and the food. We made a great choice and would highly recommend. They only negative we had was that they did not return the box that I gave them the champagne flute in. They are nice Kate Spade flutes that had a nice box. The flutes were put on the gift table, but they were just set there and their box was nowhere to be found. It is not a huge deal compared to the rest of the night, so I don't really hold it against them and definitely still recommend them! -

We LOVED the atrium in St. John’s. We LOVED our coordinator, Kathleen. These two things made our reception what it was and we wouldn’t do a thing differently here. We believed that the venue would set the tone for the reception and we wanted something nice but not snooty. And we wanted a traditional banquet reception but not a traditional square box room. The atrium filled that need. April was still considered off-season so we got a deal! The service was flawless at both the tasting and our reception – even some of our guests mentioned it. But the food was quite disappointing at the tasting and we were a bit concerned about it but it was EXCELLENT at our reception – received LOTS of compliments on that. The room is so unique that it really doesn’t take much decorating – it really stands on its own. If you are considering booking St. John’s ASK FOR KATHLEEN. She was our top vendor! She responds very quickly no matter what time or day of the week it is. She NEVER got annoyed with my 100 questions. She is incredibly organized and had everything written down and detailed. She would do anything in her power to make your event exactly what you want it. Our event was executed perfectly. If anything went wrong, I do not know what it was.
Now the hotel side is a different story. The people who worked there were nice enough but it felt like the service you would receive as a single night guest at any ol’ Marriott and based on Kathleen’s service, and the fact that we had booked 35 guest rooms and spent thousands of dollars on the reception side, we expected more. It felt that they had policies and they would do nothing to try to extend a better experience to us. When our guests called to make reservations a few complained of staff being short or being interrupted by business travelers. (Now I’m sure that’s where they make their money but there are usually two people at the counter. Or you could be more polite.) They also wouldn’t guarantee us a late check out until the morning of our check out day. What? Why? When we checked in on Friday that room wasn’t booked for Sunday. And we only wanted to stay until 1:00. Check in is 3:00. Why can’t you make this happen for us? The hotel side was a disappointment.

Overall, we had an exceptional experience at the Inn at St Johns. Kathleen and the other staff we worked with throughout the year were extremely kind and helpful. Kathleen went out of her way to meet our requests and provide us with everything that we wished for with regards to food and beverage. She was prompt and responsive, especially in the 0-6 months preceding the wedding. On the day of the event, everything was very well-organized and ran smoothly. Kathleen and the banquet captains checked in with us repeatedly to make sure all was well. The Atrium (the site of our reception) was beautiful--the staff followed all of our precise instructions about placing favors and menus and place cards and did so in a very timely manner. Additionally, the staff working at our reception are to be commended for their excellent service and kindness--many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the high level of professionalism and service provided by the staff. Although the Inn at St Johns' minimum food and beverage expenditures are a bit pricey, we were able to stay in budget by holding our wedding reception on a Friday. Our wedding ceremony and reception turned out perfectly, and I thank the Inn at St Johns for helping make that happen. -

Highly recommend! The location was beautiful. The staff was a joy to work with. Everyone went above and beyond to make my reception perfect. The food was excellent. The waitstaff was attentive to all guest needs, not just the head table's. A couple guests had dietary restrictions, and the staff/kitchen did not hesistate to make special meals for them on the spot. -

The Inn at St. Johns was an amazing wedding venue one reason being it was a one-stop-shop! We got married in the beautiful chapel, had our reception in the atrium, and we also had a send off brunch the morning after! The atrium was beautiful, all my dream came true when I saw the room, it was so nice to be able to spread out a little with the Samuel Room, and the Grotto for the cocktail hour. The service we received when planning our ceremony and reception were amazing and had support through it all. Stacy was a beautiful vocalist and violinist, she took our ceremony to the next level. The service we received during the reception was exceptional and received many compliments. Michael was the server for the head table, and parent tables, he was so attentive, making sure we had everything we needed, packed up food for us at the end of the night and made sure they were in our room, he was awesome. One area we did have a few hiccups with were the hotel, it was difficult to secure early check in ahead of time for our guests who were in the wedding, we brought hotel bags for our guests and not everyone received one, and lastly I was told I would get ready in the presidential suite or the ambassador room and when I checked in I was very disappointed to learn I would not be. As a bride if you are looking at the Inn at St. Johns and your dream is to get ready in the The Presidential Suite or the Ambassador room I would double and triple check your reservation status on your own even if your coordinator says they have it all taken care of.Saint John's Resort's reply:

A Great All-in-One Wedding Venue!
Despite all of the pandemic ups and downs, we had an amazing experience working with the Inn at St. John's. Linda, Kathy, and all the rest of the staff is friendly, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable. The chapel is absolutely beautiful and the food is amazing. There is also an amazing bridal suite that is incredibly spacious with lots of mirrors, a bathroom, and a gorgeous balcony view of the chapel. There is no natural light in the bridal suite though, so I would recommend doing your make-up before hand and just doing touch-ups in the suite.
We highly recommend staying at the hotel if you're able to. The rooms are clean, spacious, and again, the service is exceptional. Our guests also raved about the restaurant's food!

Beautiful venue

This venue was beyond any of our hopes and dreams come true. It was such a beautiful and elegant venue to start with that decorations really were minimally needed, which was a good thing as we are minimalists, and we had a parting of ways with our planner 2 wks prior to the event -Yikes! However, with a little maneuvering and the help elicited by the bridesmaids, the staff at The Inn and family members, things went off without a hitch! We got married in the Chapel and the staff that we worked with were beyond accommodating, professional and most efficient. One thing is that unless they needed to contact us regarding something, there wasn't a lot of back and forth. This may concern some people, but for me who has 100's of emails a day, knowing that I could trust the professionals to do their job, was most helpful. When and if there were questions, they were right on the mark with communications. There were a couple of times that the communication was a little lagging, but I am not sure if that was my fault or theirs, so I just made sure to follow back up and it was most definitely addressed by the 2nd request (this did not happen very often). We planned the entire event from start to finish in under 7 months and pulled it off without a hitch. The food was beyond delicious, everyone was talking about it for weeks after. The Ceremony and the Venue was also the talk of the town at both of our work places for weeks too! Linda was very calming and had everything under control at all times. We used the Judea room and could have been happier with the results. Plenty of room without feeling like sardines. We did use the Nazareth room for appetizers/cocktail hour and that was the way to go. We did use a Promotion, but you would have never known that we received special pricing. We were waited on hand and foot and made to feel like royalty throughout the entire day. -

The Inn at St. Johns was everything I could've wanted from a venue. From beginning to end working with them was just fabulous. They were very accommodating to our busy schedules when it came to scheduling a food tasting and even let us view a reception already decorated so we could see our vision come to life before our own event. The day of everything ran smoothly, the food was fabulous and the venue was just beautiful. We also held our ceremony there and the couldn't have been happier with everyone who helped us coordinate our liturgy, music and rehearsal. I would highly recommend The Inn at St. Johns to all my family and friends. -

The Inn at St. John’s was BY far, the best venue I have ever worked with. Now, being that it was my own wedding I am a bit biased. But, everyone, seriously EVERYONE, was AMAZING to work with. We worked with Becky Lee, who was responsive to every little request in a timely manner and beyond accommodating. They are all so friendly, easy to work with, and truly want to help do whatever they can to assist in the planning process. When we were looking at venues, it gave me serious heart burn trying to fathom the cost of a wedding (If you haven’t hit that point yet, don’t worry, it will come!) and there were many options, other than St. John’s that would save us a few thousand dollars. Now, after all is said and done, it was worth every penny. We had our reception in the atrium and the venue was just gorgeous, so in hindsight I probably could have saved some money by doing less in terms of flowers. The planning staff, as well as the servers and bartenders on the big day were all professional, fun, and treated us as though we were the most important people on earth…..which is exactly how you should feel on your big day! -

The Inn at St. John's was the perfect venue for my magical winter wedding! Having the ceremony in the exquisite chapel, followed by the reception in the gorgeous Grande Ballroom, made it easy for my guests since the weather was questionable for December. The convenience of having hotel rooms on site, without the feel of a hotel, also made it amazing, as well.
All of the staff from the chapel to the ballroom were so helpful and professional and everything was just perfect! I highly recommend this venue to any bride wanting a unique and beautiful venue. -

St. Johns Chapel is a beautiful place if you're looking to have a dream wedding. The coordinator at the chapel provided great structure and was always there for us. The chapel's stained glass is particularly breath taking and provides for amazing photo opportunities. If you want something that's special and can afford to pay a little more for the chapel rental, I highly recommend to check out Saint Johns. -

St. John's has the BEST atmosphere by far. I have worked as a cook there while in college and was so excited to be able to have my reception there. Every guest was blown away by the setting. I loved being able to take pictures in their wonderful gardens. We had one of the ballrooms and the room was amazing. This is not your average country club banquet room. You will have many awesome pictures as there are so many good areas to take them. The food is a bit pricey however. We saved by having our reception on a Friday night when there was no minimum. Right after we signed our contract, they raised their food prices but allowed us to have the old pricing. One aspect of the service that I really enjoyed was an assigned staff member to wait on the bride and groom during the reception. The staff member even carried my plate during the buffet line so that I wouldn't have too. Highly recommend if you can afford. -

We had our reception in the Atrium and it was gorgeous! We received so many compliments. It is an expensive venue. We wanted the wedding on a Sunday, which helped because The Inn has lower minimums for Friday and Sunday receptions. Ella was our coordinator and she was great. The staff was very professional and helpful in accommodating us. They put out our favors and place cards, candles. Very helpful! It was a really wonderful experience! -

The inn is absolutely beautiful. Everyone was also amazed by how good the food was. I actually didn't get to try any of it myself (being busy talking with all the guests) but everyone raved about it for months after!! We had it on a Friday night in the winter and that helped to save money on the bill. We did very minimal decorating as well except for a few candles, and it looked spectacular -

A dream come true
We hope you are lucky enough to work with Sarah at Saint John’s Resort. SJR was rebranding at the time we signed our wedding contract (previously The Inn at St John’s), and we were passed around to a couple different coordinators. Sarah was our last and by far the best. She was quick to answer all questions and always eased our concerns. SJR is a gorgeous, all-in-one venue and that was a huge selling point for us. Go book a tour with Sarah and fall in love with the venue like we did!-

The inn st st johns was perfect for our reception! Kathleen was amazing to work with. We were in the grande ballroom. We received a lower minimum for our winter wedding & a winter wedding package that helped with the cost. Kathleen was always on top of all of the details. Just when I thought I was forgetting something or felt unorganized she would reassure me that everything was taken care of. She was extremely flexible, responsive, and just great in general to work with. I definitely recommend requesting her if you book at the inn! -

Kathleen was our coordinator and she was so nice to work with. The food was great, we had so many compliments. The guests loved the chocolate fountain. The staff pulled off a surprise for my new husband during dessert without a hitch, and it was perfect! Unlike most bride and grooms, we actually sat down to enjoy our meal with our guests... and it was amazing!
There was some communication mishaps between Kathleen and the banquet staff, but nothing that ruined our evening. For example, the bridal party was suppose to be able to enjoy the cocktail hour with our guests while my husband and I were off taking pictures in the gardens. Unfortunately, this message was not clearly given tho the banquet staff, and they made the wedding party wait in the hall without chairs to sit on.
The room (Galilee) which has a burgundy color ambiance, was perfect for our wedding reception during the 4th of july weekend.
I would agree with the many comments of the hotel staff needing some customer service training. Our out of town guests were very disappointed in the check in process, and trying to book rooms online. The good news is, my husband and I had the Presidential Suite which was totally amazing!! Highly recommended for any bride. It was perfect to invite our out of town guest over for gift opening the next morning. We had 30 people in there comfortably!
We also had our wedding in the Chapel, which is stunning. I'm actually glad the venue has very strict rules as it keeps the Chapel beautiful. The staff and Deacon were very flexible to grant our wishes regarding removing the bride and groom chairs for the ceremony for the purpose of pictures.
We had a perfect wedding, and I would highly recommend this venue to any bride.. and groom! -

The staff at The Inn at St. John's was just fantastic. No, they were a godsend! All we had to do was drop things off to them (placecards, favors, etc) and they took care of it from there! No stressing about reception set up the day of the wedding! The whole process from beginning to end was a joy, for everyone involved. -

We had our wedding on a Sunday to take advantage of their Friday/Sunday package. We were looking to have a smaller wedding reception, and the $10,000 minimum food and beverage for Saturdays was more than we were looking to spend on just food and beverage. However, we had our hearts set on this magnificent reception venue. We didn't think it was going to be within our budget, but then we found out about and went with the Friday/Sunday package that allowed us to have just about everything we would have had with the Saturday package, for about $15 less per person (and a minimum of 100 people...which is about $6000 for food and beverage minimum, instead of the $10,000!)
Kathleen was our reception coordinator, and she did a good job. My only complaint about her is that she was VERY slow in her responses sometimes. I understood that there were other brides getting married before me, but I still felt like her responses (sometimes a week or more for a simple response) were too slow. In fact, sometimes I wondered if she ever got them at all.
I even inquired with my wedding coordinator about her experiences with the various coordinators here. She said that she had never had any issue, and that she would look into it for me if necessary. It never came to that, thankfully.
That said though, our reception went off without a hitch. We have absolutely no complaints! The food was phenomenal and just what we wanted. The room set-up was identical to what we had specified and signed off on. We were in the Galilee room and it was just beautiful for our fall-themed wedding. The staff was also very courteous, professional, and competent.
Our room that night was included in our package, and since it was a Sunday and business was slower than on a Saturday, we were upgraded to a better suite and it was AMAZING! We didn't know until we checked in at the desk, got our key, and went up to the room. It was a nice perk that they didn't have to do. The hotel staff were also very nice and we have no complaints about their customer service.
I would highly recommend The Inn at St. John's for a reception! You won't be disappointed. -

St. John's is the place every girl dreams of getting married- gorgeous scenery, the atrium, chapel, everything is just gorgeous! And they now have an attached hotel, for the party and guests to stay if desired- great for those offering alcoholic beverages-wouldn't want anyone driving themselves home a little tipsy! -

The chapel at the Inn at St. John was a beautiful place for our ceremony. We got a million compliments about the unique church and the violinist Stacey Mason who works for St. Johns. I loved the bridal suite upstairs that allows a comfortable area for the bride to relax prior to the ceremony. The balcony from the suite makes for amazing photographs overlooking the church. The grounds, including a waterfall, made for beautiful photos as well.
I do, however, have a few complaints about their flexibility. The chapel has so many rules about what brides may and may not do within the church that it is difficult to express individuality at the ceremony. Pew decorations and aisle runners are prohibited. Confetti and flower petals may not be thrown outside the church, and bubbles must be blown 20 feet outside the church doors. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was that the church staff refused to close the church doors between my bridal party entrance and my own entrance as the bride. My husband always dreamed of seeing them open the doors and have his beautiful bride step out, but we were unable to do that. :( -
