  I couldn't recommend Sage more!

  We got married on 6/9/23 and Sage Catering was one of the recommended caterers at our venue, Cairnwood Estate. Since Cairnwood doesn't have any in-house coordination, we really relied on Sage to be that special guide throughout our wedding planning process. Courtney was our coordinator, and she was just spectacular! I want to rave about so many things I don't know where to start! I think the most important thing to say is that we got SO many compliments on our food! We had our tasting and the food was fabulous, so we were really excited about that - but its not uncommon for the tasting to be great and the food on the actual day to fall flat. We did NOT have that experience, the food was 10/10! Cortney was present at the tasting and was able to give us insight on some ways to customize our menu, for example, we could choose as many passed hors d'oeuvre as we'd like, the total quantity would just stay the same! The month before our wedding, we were able to do our planning meeting in person at Cairnwood, so we could walk through the estate and decide which layout fit best for us! Also, Cortney and the Sage team were super accommodating for any unique requests we had, for example, our signature cocktail had lavender in it and Sage was able to source edible sprigs to garnish the drinks with. Another was that we wanted a champagne tower and Cortney was able to go off of an inspiration picture I had and set it all up! I felt super cared for the whole day and it was lovely to just be able to relax and enjoy the experience! I seriously think we got our full money's worth by hiring Sage Catering.

  We loved sage!

  If you are looking for delicious food and amazing people to work with for your wedding, Sage Catering is your vendor!!! Sage has reasonable prices for 5 star food and everyone from our 200 person wedding couldn't stop talking about the delicious appetizers, entrees, and late night snacks! Dana and her team were a dream on the actual wedding day and went the extra mile to make our day special. We would not recommend them enough! Thank you Sage!

  A million stars!!!

  Truly, if I could give SAGE Catering an infinite star rating, I would! Amanda was our event coordinator, and from the initial contact to the day of the wedding, she was there every step of the way. She was responsive, helpful, and so wonderful to work with! She made the planning process feel so much easier, since she was always available to answer questions and provide feedback. She also worked tirelessly on the day of our wedding, and was there the entire time with the rest of the team! She ensured everything ran smoothly, even when we ran into a few roadblocks, and for that, we cannot thank her enough! Now, for the FOOD! The chefs at SAGE are some of the best, and the food is some of the most incredible food I have EVER eaten. The cocktail hour appetizers, charcuterie board and stationary apps, cocktails and signature drinks, and of course- the entrees; every single bite/sip was absolutely fabulous. They have so many choices of delicious items, with there truly being something for everyone's tastes, and are super flexible and accommodating when it comes to allergies and dietary restrictions. During our reception, the dinner plates came out absolutely piping hot, which was amazing. Guests were raving about the quality of the food, the temperature, and the delicious taste. We provided guests with 3 entree options, a chicken, beef, and fish, and SO many of our friends and family told us that they have never had a sirloin so perfectly cooked at a wedding! I could rave about SAGE for days!! We cannot thank each and every member of the SAGE team that was at our wedding for their incredible service and kindness! Their services are genuinely worth every single penny and then some! Thank you Amanda, and the entire SAGE team!!!!

  Hi, fellow future spouse. You still looking for your caterer? Well good news - you found them! See? That was easy! One less thing to worry about!
  From initial consultation, to the tasting, to me emailing about general nothingness, to everything in between, Amanda and the Sage team were an absolute PLEASURE to work with.
  I'm a wedding coordinator and I've tasted a lot of bland, unoriginal wedding entrees - so I knew for my own wedding the food had to be top notch. My husband and I knew from the tasting that this needed to be our caterer, come hell or high water. The food was sensational. Sage knocked it out of the park!
  Our wedding was a dream and the food had a lot to do with it. Our guests are still giving us compliments on how fantastic the food was! Our day-of staff took great care of us, our guests, and our vendors.
  Still questioning it? Well - I don't know what else to tell you, except you won't regret it!

  Sage is amazing!

  We got married at BOK on 10/20/23. Choosing to work with Sage was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We knew their team had done many other weddings at BOK so we were excited to have them for our big day. We primarily worked with Dana and she was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and easy to communicate with. She helped provide guidance when it came to not only menu choices but some key design choices (linens, rentals, etc). On the day of our wedding we were just blown away to see everything come together through Dana's leadership. The tables were so dreamy, the food was incredible, and the drinks were delicious. We are still getting compliments about how fabulous the food was that day. The apps at cocktail hour were on point – they offer such a wide variety of choices. For the reception menu, we decided to go with a family style and it was just perfect! Lastly, the extended team at Sage who helped on our big day was amazing (chefs, bartenders, servers, etc)! They were all so kind and are true professionals who will make sure your day goes as smoothly as possible.

  The Sage team was incredible to work with in planning our wedding. We had Dana as our coordinator, and she was great to work with!
  We chose Sage as we wanted tacos and asian stations at our wedding and they DELIVERED. People commented on the food ALL night and we continue to get compliments! We are so very thankful that we chose to work with Sage!

  Fabulous in every way

  There are no words to describe how incredible Sage Catering was for our daughters wedding. Every bite was delicious. Appetizers were plentiful and presented beautifully. Entrees were served hot and plated beautifully for our 260 guests who were all raving about the food.

  The greatest caterer of all time

  Not to be dramatic, but SAGE is literally the greatest catering company of all time. Amanda G. was fantastic with planning & super responsive. We had a day of attendant named Michelle who was the QUEEN of my wedding day making sure we had food and drinks. She went above and beyond when my now husband temporarily lost my vows. A true hero. The food is out of this world. The guests were searching for the appetizers, really loving the cheesesteak egg rolls and mini lobster rolls. The guests also loved our late night snack. I am recommending SAGE to all of my friends who are engaged and hope I can use them again one day. Amanda & Michelle will always be in my heart for making my special day absolute perfection!

  Super Tasty Food

  Sage did an amazing job catering our rehearsal dinner! Amanda was super professional in her communication and incredibly friendly. The food was very delicious at our tasting and tasted even better the day of :D We did a buffet and all the options the guests raved about. The bread pudding also stole the show for me, may have been the best bread pudding and ice cream I have ever had. Thanks so much for everything and you won't regret hiring them!

We got countless compliments on our entrees and the service was amazing— from planning to set up, bartenders, cocktail hour apps and bar, dinner service and clean up. Cortney was our point person the day of and was so attentive and accommodating. I felt like I could enjoy my wedding day without having to give anything a second thought. Sage is comprised of true professionals and they worked seamlessly with my other vendors to make the day incredible!!!

  Exceptional!!!!

  Wow! Sage’s food and service went above and beyond my wildest dreams. My experience with Sage started 2.5 years before my wedding day. I was reaching out to preferred caterers given to me by my venue to ask for a tasting. I called the first 3 caterers and all of them made me feel like I was crazy for asking for a tasting before I booked with them. And some of them were asking for $300+ for a tasting even if we booked before hand. I was feeling defeated until I called Sage. The Sage team was warm and welcome right off the bat. They told me they would be more than happy to offer me a tasting. I was shocked. The tasting was above and beyond. We signed the contract immediately.
  
  Over the course of our longer engagement Cortney answered all of my questions. She was professional and extremely helpful.
  We had a few specific requests that Cortney and the team went above and beyond to fulfill.
  
  And of course, on wedding day Cortney and the Sage team were incredible. One of their servers, Naomi, brought my husband and I every hors d'oeuvre on the menu so that were didn’t miss out on our food. She was an angel. We were taking a few more pictures when they served our dinner, so instead of leaving it to get cold they kept it hot for us in the back until we were done. I had a guest tell one server they loved one of the food options. Cortney came out and wrote the recipe down for her!!! They packed my dads truck at the end of the night with all of our left over alcohol and supplies so that we didn’t have to lift a finger. Just top notch service all night long and on top of that the food is exceptional. We had so many guests tell us that it was the best wedding food they ever had. We could not recommend Sage Catering more. They were everything I could have dreamt of and more!! Thank you, Sage!

  We had a few specific requests that Cortney and the team went above and beyond to fulfill.
  
  And of course, on wedding day Cortney and the Sage team were incredible. One of their servers, Naomi, brought my husband and I every hors d'oeuvre on the menu so that were didn’t miss out on our food. She was an angel. We were taking a few more pictures when they served our dinner, so instead of leaving it to get cold they kept it hot for us in the back until we were done. I had a guest tell one server they loved one of the food options. Cortney came out and wrote the recipe down for her!!! They packed my dads truck at the end of the night with all of our left over alcohol and supplies so that we didn’t have to lift a finger. Just top notch service all night long and on top of that the food is exceptional. We had so many guests tell us that it was the best wedding food they ever had. We could not recommend Sage Catering more. They were everything I could have dreamt of and more!! Thank you, Sage!

  We had the best experience with Sage. My husband and I tried multiple vendors but none compared to the flavor, options, and kindness of the staff at Sage. We were even able to get a second tasting because we were so indecisive on the menu because everything tasted AMAZING. You literally cannot go wrong with their food options. Cortney was our wedding coordinator and she was sooo helpful with everything and was with us every step of the way, answering our many questions and providing us a timeline for the wedding. Throughout our reception, the catering staff made sure my husband and I received our appetizers because we were running around, and made sure we stayed hydrated! Our guests raved about the food and also complimented the bartenders. The whole day flew by so fast but it went perfectly because of Cortney and her team. At the end of the night too they cleaned everything up so the venue was spotless and we didn't have to worry about anything. 100000% recommend Sage Catering for your wedding or any event!!

  Caterers? Event Planners? More like Magicians!

  My review for SAGE Catering begins like so many others, “Due to the coronavirus our original wedding date and venue were cancelled…”. When I had to scramble, I stumbled on SAGE not realizing that they were more than a catering business, but are actually event planners, too. My daughter’s big destination wedding in California was scaled back to an intimate ceremony and dinner in our suburban Main Line home and SAGE made it appear effortless and flawless. I’d never hosted a wedding before and Dana Twaddell provided the needed amount of direction, handling all the party rental ordering and delivery, giving decorating suggestions, even providing outdoor heat lamps. As for food, they swooped into the kitchen and produced one unbelievable dish after another. I heard so many compliments that night, from the hors d’ oeuvres to the salmon to the filet to the salads. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the late night snack of guacamole and homemade chips. The wait staff were efficient, almost invisible, and kind — the bride felt special, but so did my niece when they specifically sought her out to make sure that her meal was dairy-free. :-) And Dana. Dana! As an event planner, she is the epitome of grace and calm. When she asked me about the champagne and I realized that I had forgotten to buy it, she didn’t even blink an eye. “No problem. We’ll just clear those flutes from the table.” :-)
  
  I could go on, about how clean they left the kitchen and how they even played parking valets, shuffling cars in our driveway without being asked, but I’ll stop.   Sage made our wedding day at Appleford literally flawless. I was floored the entire night at how wonderful and kind every single staff member was. I never had to ask for anything the entire night. We made our own decor and they made sure everything ended up where it was supposed to. We got countless compliments on both the quality of the food and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Worth every single penny and I am forever grateful to Sage for making the day so perfect.

  Amazing Food, Better Service

  Sage really made our wedding go off without a hitch. We were originally supposed to get married outdoors on a roof terrace, but severe weather forced us to our back up plan indoors. Sage did an amazing job coordinating with the venue, transforming the space and creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The food was praised by all our guests, but the best part for me was the high level of service their staff provided. Would definitely recommend for any event!

  Can't say enough good things about Sage

  Sage Catering was the MVP of our wedding day. Our planner may have bit off more than they could chew and Sage stepped in and filled in any gaps so that we didn't notice a thing except when we couldn't find our planner! The food was delicious, Sage offered great advice on event setup, and the service was the best service I've ever seen at a wedding (and our guests told us the same). We had an unconventional cocktail style reception and Sage was up to the task. Planning with Sage was uneventful, we actually did not meet our coordinator until our rehearsal, but I think they were swamped with wedding season, this did not impact service at all. I would recommend to all couples looking for a caterer.

  Look no further than Sage!

  I am not one who typically writes reviews, but with how many vendors there are to choose from and how stressful wedding planning is, I wanted to write this for all the brides out there: I cannot recommend Sage Catering enough! Sage did an AMAZING job with my wedding!! From the time spent helping us decide on the food, linen colors, designing the floor layout, timing and flow of events, to putting out our personal items at the venue, and to packing up everything at the end of the night and loading it into our car- Sage made this whole process easy and seamless! Sage was very responsive and accommodating through the whole process, and during the tasting (you can bring a total of 6 people!), we were able to provide feedback and customize the dishes. They helped us create a unique dining experience that was within our budget and listened to our feedback, made suggestions, provided us with options to pick from, and followed up to clarify/confirm what we wanted.
  
  Everything looked beautiful, was delicious, and was exactly as we discussed, and I received so many compliments on the food and appearance!!! To top it all off, the service was fantastic! The team was super attentive and made sure we ate and always had a drink in hand. Everyone told me to get a day off coordinator; I didn’t, but with Sage, I didn’t need one- they do it all!!   SAGE is Amazing!

  WOW! We just had our wedding at Cairnwood Estate with Sage as the caterer and I am still on cloud 9. Sage helped to make our wedding dreams come true. Though they are technically the catering vendor-- they do SO MUCH MORE than just catering. They help you figure out a menu, a layout/set up, provide alcohol recommendations, coordinate all of your vendors as they set up, create a reception timeline, coordinate your cake delivery, and were even willing to set up candles, a champagne tower, and other decor for the reception. We worked with Amanda throughout the entire process. From the first day I reached out, she was very responsive, and seemed very experienced. I was so indecisive about the menu, that I think I must have changed elements of it 5+ times -- every change was picked up and adjusted for. Now, days after the wedding, we are still hearing about how good the food was, how perfectly the filet mignon was cooked, and how wonderful the servers were! Prior to the wedding, we were told by so many people to make sure that we made time to eat because it would get so hectic that we'd forget. We did NOT even have to worry about this with Sage. They also assigned a server specifically to us, Steph, who brought us plate of all the cocktail hour food, continued to bring us waters and cocktails throughout the night, would ask us if we needed anything, and in general was amazing. Thank you Steph, Amanda, and the team at Sage for making our wedding reception so perfect!!

  If you want people to RAVE about the food at your wedding, you must hire Sage!

  When I was looking for a caterer, the most important thing for me was finding a menu with diverse options. My husband and I are very adventurous eaters but specifically love Asian food and wanted there to be a lot of diverse options at our wedding. Fortunately we found Sage and knew we had to book them! We decided to go with stations and got the slider, taco and Asian stations with a variety of different options. The tasting was amazing, we got to try so many foods and make tweaks to our menu based on our preferences. They really accommodated everything we wanted and even were able to make our signature cocktail perfectly. On the day of, they were amazingly accommodating and made my new husband and I trays of appetizer foods since we missed our cocktail hour. When we got to dinner we couldn't wait to try everything (though admittedly as the bride and groom we weren't able to try it all!). Throughout the entire night people couldn't stop raving about the food and how amazing it was! Sage was also incredibly professional and understood our decor vision perfectly. Absolutely worth every penny! Thank you so much for making our wedding exactly what we had hoped it would be!

  Five menus over three days and almost 300 guests? No problem for Sage!

  Where do I even start? My husband and I had a vision for a full weekend of events for our wedding festivities. Friday night men's and women's separate roast and toast dinners, a raw bar heavy cocktail party, a food station dinner for our reception, a post wedding brunch and capped off with my son's graduation party. That's five events in three days with distinct menus. SAGE delivered and exceeded all of our expectations! The prime rib was melt in the mouth amazing, the sushi rolls and salads were just the right thing, the (OMG!) lobster tails and oysters on our raw bar, plus delectable passed appetizers that had twists on old favorites (can you say pork belly topped deviled eggs? or mini ahi tuna tacos and mini lobster rolls?) garnered us compliments that are still coming over a week later. There were food choices for everyone all weekend. The ingredients were fresh, the execution of our vision and menu was flawless. My husband and I each had a personal SAGE staff person making sure we ate throughout the weekend, making sure we had water in addition to our libations- they did the same for my mom. At the end of our long weekend, I cried with appreciation for everything our SAGE team (and wedding planner) did to make our festivities be the "wedding wonderland" and "best wedding I've ever been to" that we aimed to host. I will recommend them all day every day and will definitely be hiring them again for future entertaining. Don't look anywhere else!

  Excellent food & service- Thank you Sage!

  After selecting Appleford as our venue we attended a number of complimentary catering tastings. Sage stood out to us as their food was beyond delicious and their waitstaff was top notch! The staff was so kind and personable and very familiar with the venue. We noticed during cocktail hour the servers were doing such a great job at distributing appetizer to all attendees- which was huge for us.
  
  We shortly selected Sage and began working with Dana. Dana is truly exceptional- her response time may be measurable in seconds or minutes and she helped guide us with so many decisions- timing, rentals, other vendors, drinks, menu options etc. She is a true professional.
  Everyone was raving about how delicious our food was- I wish Sage had a restaurant because I would be ordering from them weekly. I still dream about the ahi tuna crisps and the cheesesteak eggrolls. Guests also mentioned that the staff was so friendly and professional. We even had a drop in visit from the owner of Sage Greg. Dana went above and beyond to make sure Eric, myself, and our guests had the best night. She even helped with lining us up to walk down the aisle :)
  
  We are so grateful to have selected Sage and worked with Dana and her amazing team. I hope to have and attend future events that they cater and I would recommend them to anyone needing a catering+ company!
