We got married on 6/9/23 and Sage Catering was one of the recommended caterers at our venue, Cairnwood Estate. Since Cairnwood doesn't have any in-house coordination, we really relied on Sage to be that special guide throughout our wedding planning process. Courtney was our coordinator, and she was just spectacular! I want to rave about so many things I don't know where to start! I think the most important thing to say is that we got SO many compliments on our food! We had our tasting and the food was fabulous, so we were really excited about that - but its not uncommon for the tasting to be great and the food on the actual day to fall flat. We did NOT have that experience, the food was 10/10! Cortney was present at the tasting and was able to give us insight on some ways to customize our menu, for example, we could choose as many passed hors d'oeuvre as we'd like, the total quantity would just stay the same! The month before our wedding, we were able to do our planning meeting in person at Cairnwood, so we could walk through the estate and decide which layout fit best for us! Also, Cortney and the Sage team were super accommodating for any unique requests we had, for example, our signature cocktail had lavender in it and Sage was able to source edible sprigs to garnish the drinks with. Another was that we wanted a champagne tower and Cortney was able to go off of an inspiration picture I had and set it all up! I felt super cared for the whole day and it was lovely to just be able to relax and enjoy the experience! I seriously think we got our full money's worth by hiring Sage Catering. -

Just wow - amazing
We can't say enough amazing things about this caterer - and our coordinator Susie - for our wedding day. From the beginning they were incredibly organized, kind, creative, and so fun to work with! Susie helped us to pick out everything from all aspects of our menu, to the chairs, linens, utensils, bar menu, etc. It made choosing a venue that was not 'all inclusive' in this way so much less overwhelming to have Sage as our main POC with planning the bulk of things. I never felt like I wasn't in good hands. And let me tell you - THE FOOD. The compliments we got on our wedding day never ended. And we weren't at all surprised, even our tasting prior to the wedding knocked our socks off. If I had to do it again, this would be the top MUST vendor on my list to make wedding planning easy, and execution flawless. Even outside of a wedding, I know Sage would be capable of handling any event beautifully. Thank you AND SUSIE so so so much! 10/10 Experience!
We recently hired Sage Catering for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience! From the very beginning, Cortney was incredibly professional, attentive, and responsive to all our requests.
The food was absolutely delicious! Every guest raved about how amazing everything was. Living on Long Island New York food is expected to be over the top at weddings and Sage far surpassed all the guests expectations. The crab cakes were amazing, lobster roll was delicious, pizza and pasta station was incredible, tacos were full of flavor, but I think the most raved about dish was the short ribs!
Cortney went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Not only is she super friendly but she made the day completely seamless. Leading up to the day she worked with us to make our vision come true. She helped us create our own personal wedding menu including things that weren’t even on the list of items. I would recommend Cortney 100%!
The staff was top-notch—friendly, professional, and very attentive. They seamlessly managed everything, from setup to service, making sure that our guests were well taken care of throughout the evening.
We are beyond satisfied with Sage Catering. They exceeded our expectations in every way and helped make our special day even more memorable. If you’re looking for exceptional food, stunning presentation, and excellent service, we highly recommend Sage Catering for your wedding or any other special event! -

We booked Sage for our 6/7 wedding at Appleford. It was one of the best decisions we made!!!! From the beginning, Cortney could not have been any better to work with. We had an incredible tasting and she answered all of the questions I had leading up to wedding day. In addition to the food being phenomenal, I loved having a built in day of coordinator/planner. She made my entire day stress free and absolutely perfect. Our guests could not stop raving about how amazing the food was!!! Thank you Sage and Cortney for being incredible to work with!!! If you are looking for delicious food and amazing people to work with for your wedding, Sage Catering is your vendor!!! Sage has reasonable prices for 5 star food and everyone from our 200 person wedding couldn't stop talking about the delicious appetizers, entrees, and late night snacks! Dana and her team were a dream on the actual wedding day and went the extra mile to make our day special. We would not recommend them enough! Thank you Sage! -

We got married at BOK on 10/20/23. Choosing to work with Sage was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We knew their team had done many other weddings at BOK so we were excited to have them for our big day. We primarily worked with Dana and she was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and easy to communicate with. She helped provide guidance when it came to not only menu choices but some key design choices (linens, rentals, etc). On the day of our wedding we were just blown away to see everything come together through Dana's leadership. The tables were so dreamy, the food was incredible, and the drinks were delicious. We are still getting compliments about how fabulous the food was that day. The apps at cocktail hour were on point – they offer such a wide variety of choices. For the reception menu, we decided to go with a family style and it was just perfect! Lastly, the extended team at Sage who helped on our big day was amazing (chefs, bartenders, servers, etc)! They were all so kind and are true professionals who will make sure your day goes as smoothly as possible. -

Hi, fellow future spouse. You still looking for your caterer? Well good news - you found them! See? That was easy! One less thing to worry about!
From initial consultation, to the tasting, to me emailing about general nothingness, to everything in between, Amanda and the Sage team were an absolute PLEASURE to work with.
I'm a wedding coordinator and I've tasted a lot of bland, unoriginal wedding entrees - so I knew for my own wedding the food had to be top notch. My husband and I knew from the tasting that this needed to be our caterer, come hell or high water. The food was sensational. Sage knocked it out of the park!
Our wedding was a dream and the food had a lot to do with it. Our guests are still giving us compliments on how fantastic the food was! Our day-of staff took great care of us, our guests, and our vendors.
Still questioning it? Well - I don't know what else to tell you, except you won't regret it!

Truly, if I could give SAGE Catering an infinite star rating, I would! Amanda was our event coordinator, and from the initial contact to the day of the wedding, she was there every step of the way. She was responsive, helpful, and so wonderful to work with! She made the planning process feel so much easier, since she was always available to answer questions and provide feedback. She also worked tirelessly on the day of our wedding, and was there the entire time with the rest of the team! She ensured everything ran smoothly, even when we ran into a few roadblocks, and for that, we cannot thank her enough! Now, for the FOOD! The chefs at SAGE are some of the best, and the food is some of the most incredible food I have EVER eaten. The cocktail hour appetizers, charcuterie board and stationary apps, cocktails and signature drinks, and of course- the entrees; every single bite/sip was absolutely fabulous. They have so many choices of delicious items, with there truly being something for everyone's tastes, and are super flexible and accommodating when it comes to allergies and dietary restrictions. During our reception, the dinner plates came out absolutely piping hot, which was amazing. Guests were raving about the quality of the food, the temperature, and the delicious taste. We provided guests with 3 entree options, a chicken, beef, and fish, and SO many of our friends and family told us that they have never had a sirloin so perfectly cooked at a wedding! I could rave about SAGE for days!! We cannot thank each and every member of the SAGE team that was at our wedding for their incredible service and kindness! Their services are genuinely worth every single penny and then some! Thank you Amanda, and the entire SAGE team!!!! -

Sage did an amazing job catering our rehearsal dinner! Amanda was super professional in her communication and incredibly friendly. The food was very delicious at our tasting and tasted even better the day of :D We did a buffet and all the options the guests raved about. Couldn’t be happier with our catering experience!! Dana guided us on the planning months ahead and all of the overwhelming decisions along the way all while honoring our budget. We got countless compliments on our entrees and the service was amazing— from planning to set up, bartenders, cocktail hour apps and bar, dinner service and clean up. Cortney was our point person the day of and was so attentive and accommodating. I felt like I could enjoy my wedding day without having to give anything a second thought. Wow! Sage’s food and service went above and beyond my wildest dreams. My experience with Sage started 2.5 years before my wedding day. I was reaching out to preferred caterers given to me by my venue to ask for a tasting. I called the first 3 caterers and all of them made me feel like I was crazy for asking for a tasting before I booked with them. And some of them were asking for $300+ for a tasting even if we booked before hand. I was feeling defeated until I called Sage. The Sage team was warm and welcome right off the bat. They told me they would be more than happy to offer me a tasting. I was shocked. The tasting was above and beyond. We signed the contract immediately.
Over the course of our longer engagement Cortney answered all of my questions. She was professional and extremely helpful.
We had a few specific requests that Cortney and the team went above and beyond to fulfill.
And of course, on wedding day Cortney and the Sage team were incredible. One of their servers, Naomi, brought my husband and I every hors d'oeuvre on the menu so that were didn’t miss out on our food. She was an angel. We were taking a few more pictures when they served our dinner, so instead of leaving it to get cold they kept it hot for us in the back until we were done. I had a guest tell one server they loved one of the food options. Cortney came out and wrote the recipe down for her!!! They packed my dads truck at the end of the night with all of our left over alcohol and supplies so that we didn’t have to lift a finger. Just top notch service all night long and on top of that the food is exceptional. We had so many guests tell us that it was the best wedding food they ever had. We could not recommend Sage Catering more. They were everything I could have dreamt of and more!! Thank you, Sage! -

Incredible Caterer
Sage Catering was amazing from start to finish. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day went smoothly. Leading up to the day the coordination was frequent and informative. The day of we had no surprises or missteps, from the bar service to the food. The food was just as amazing on our wedding day as it was at the tasting. I highly recommend Sage Catering. -

Can't say enough good things about Sage
Sage Catering was the MVP of our wedding day. Our planner may have bit off more than they could chew and Sage stepped in and filled in any gaps so that we didn't notice a thing except when we couldn't find our planner! The food was delicious, Sage offered great advice on event setup, and the service was the best service I've ever seen at a wedding (and our guests told us the same). We had an unconventional cocktail style reception and Sage was up to the task. Planning with Sage was uneventful, we actually did not meet our coordinator until our rehearsal, but I think they were swamped with wedding season, this did not impact service at all. I would recommend to all couples looking for a caterer. -

Sage made our wedding day at Appleford literally flawless. I was floored the entire night at how wonderful and kind every single staff member was. I never had to ask for anything the entire night. We made our own decor and they made sure everything ended up where it was supposed to. We got countless compliments on both the quality of the food and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. I am not one who typically writes reviews, but with how many vendors there are to choose from and how stressful wedding planning is, I wanted to write this for all the brides out there: I cannot recommend Sage Catering enough! Sage did an AMAZING job with my wedding!! From the time spent helping us decide on the food, linen colors, designing the floor layout, timing and flow of events, to putting out our personal items at the venue, and to packing up everything at the end of the night and loading it into our car- Sage made this whole process easy and seamless! Sage was very responsive and accommodating through the whole process, and during the tasting (you can bring a total of 6 people!), we were able to provide feedback and customize the dishes. They helped us create a unique dining experience that was within our budget and listened to our feedback, made suggestions, provided us with options to pick from, and followed up to clarify/confirm what we wanted.
Everything looked beautiful, was delicious, and was exactly as we discussed, and I received so many compliments on the food and appearance!!! To top it all off, the service was fantastic! The team was super attentive and made sure we ate and always had a drink in hand. Everyone told me to get a day off coordinator; I didn’t, but with Sage, I didn’t need one- they do it all!! Shout out to Amanda and team who made my day PERFECT!! -

I wish I could give Sage catering more than 5 stars! Our entire wedding experience from beginning to end with this company was fantastic. We worked with Dana (love her!) who was fabulous - I probably emailed her 150+ times since we first connected and she always answered me promptly. She made this part of the wedding planning process so easy for us.
In addition to the exemplary customer service, the food is absolutely outstanding! We had so many guests comment on how the food exceeded their expectations. Sage definitely puts their heart and soul into their meals and it shows. We selected the beef short ribs, crab cakes, and vegetable risotto cake for our entrees. I couldn't have been happier with our choices.
Dana, we sincerely thank you! You made everything seamless on the day of, including providing a personal attendant for us during our reception! Do yourself a favor and book Sage for your next event. Your guests will thank you :-) -

Sage Catering was a godsend to work with! Dana was a dream to work with being so professional from the start. We really wanted to include Filipino food during cocktail hour and mochi for dessert and they were able to accommodate all of our requests. They really curtailed an incredible menu and our guests could not stop raving about it. The food, table setup, linens and layout were so on point and we are so thankful to have worked with Sage! -

Where do I even start? My husband and I had a vision for a full weekend of events for our wedding festivities. Friday night men's and women's separate roast and toast dinners, a raw bar heavy cocktail party, a food station dinner for our reception, a post wedding brunch and capped off with my son's graduation party. That's five events in three days with distinct menus. SAGE delivered and exceeded all of our expectations! The prime rib was melt in the mouth amazing, the sushi rolls and salads were just the right thing, the (OMG!) lobster tails and oysters on our raw bar, plus delectable passed appetizers that had twists on old favorites (can you say pork belly topped deviled eggs? or mini ahi tuna tacos and mini lobster rolls?) garnered us compliments that are still coming over a week later. There were food choices for everyone all weekend. The ingredients were fresh, the execution of our vision and menu was flawless. My husband and I each had a personal SAGE staff person making sure we ate throughout the weekend, making sure we had water in addition to our libations- they did the same for my mom. At the end of our long weekend, I cried with appreciation for everything our SAGE team (and wedding planner) did to make our festivities be the "wedding wonderland" and "best wedding I've ever been to" that we aimed to host. I will recommend them all day every day and will definitely be hiring them again for future entertaining. Don't look anywhere else! -

It may have taken 3 rescheduled dates due to COVID, but my husband and I finally had our perfect wedding day on September 10, 2021. To say that Cortney and the rest of the Sage catering staff went above and beyond is an understatement. They were super accommodating throughout all of the postments and rescheduling, and when our big day finally came, things went so smoothly it was almost unbelievable. Cortney and her crew even set-up all of our floral centerpieces and decorations, which we provided ourselves, while we were able to focus on more important things like photos and the ceremony. Hor d'ouerves, cocktails, dinner, and dessert were all very tasty, but it was the catering staff that made the evening even better. All smiles, so helpful, and lots of energy, we may have even gotten a few of the staff members on the dance floor by the end of the night.
We finally had our perfect day and Cortney and Sage Catering had a huge hand in helping us get there! Would recommend 100% -

The food was absolutely delicious! Everything from appetizers to main meal were wonderful. Sage was also helpful and flexible with the menu when we went for our tasting, helping us find the right balance. The serving & bar staff were friendly and professional. Everyone from original planner to day-of staff knew what they were doing (which has not always been the case with events we've gone to this year). Budget/price was more than reasonable for the quality we ended up with, & honestly it was nice to work with a vendor who'son top of things. Would highly recommend! -

Our daughter was married on September 17th 2021, and it was perfect! Part of what made it perfect was Courtney and all the Sage staff. When ever little things went awry, Courtney was there and took care of it! The food was amazing and family and friends are still raving about it!! Thank you to Sage, staff and Courtney for all your hard work. We will recommend you to any of our friends and family!

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! We were so happy to work with Sage for our wedding Aug 2021! Everything from our first tasting to our wedding day was seamless! We had a personal attendant from Sage for the day, so unlike many other brides I've talked to we got to enjoy our food and drinks throughout the night! We did our wedding for 100 people through Sage Catering, and it was an amazing experience. The entire staff were extremely dedicated to us and our guests having a wonderful day!
The food: The food was extremely delicious and creative. The tasting was great, and everything at the wedding day was just like our tasting day (extremely consistent!) Everything, from the passed and stationary appetizers, to the salad and entrees, to the desserts, was delicious and extremely well presented!
The staff: The staff were all super friendly to all guests, and made sure everything went well for us. It was a delight working with everyone!
The planning: The planning was a breeze. We coordinated everything through Cortney, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made our day so easy (planning for a year + day of execution!) and had everything exactly how we wanted - she was focused on us having a wonderful day. It was super easy to work with her, she was very communicative and responsive, and made our day that much easier and better. Down to the napkins, table covers, runners, plates and silverware, every detail was exactly how we wanted (even our table chart and menu layouts!), and the execution was extremely smooth! -

Sage Catering helped make our wedding absolutely PERFECT! We had to move our date from June to Septemebr due to covid and Dana could not have been anymore accomodating. We had the wedding at my parents house, so we were planning from a blank slate. Dana helped us come up with an excellent layout and schedule. On the day of, I was a stress free bride! I knew she had everything taken care of, and would use her expertise along with her incredably helpful staff to handle whatever came their way! All of the guests raved about the quality of the food and the service that came along with it. I would 100% recommend Sage Catering to help make your day as special and perfect as ours was!! -

I feel SO LUCKY to have worked with Sage Catering. Because of Covid, my fiance and I had many last-minute changes to our wedding- including a new venue and catering need only 4 weeks before our wedding date! Sage got us a reasonable quote and supplied everything (tables, chairs, linens, bars, food, and all alcohol mixers.) I cannot believe how lucky we got on such short notice. They were so professional and delivered DELICIOUS food and excellent service. We didn't even have a chance to taste test, luckily everything we ate was a hit! You cannot go wrong booking them. -

Fabulous Experience for our 2020 Bride and Groom!
My daughter held her wedding reception two weeks ago at Greystone Hall, outdoor tented venue in West Chester, and Sage catered! Sage did an amazing job! The food and service were fabulous and Cortney Epstein (Sage Event Planner) was on top of everything! Not only that, Cortney helped us to put it all together in 3 1/2 weeks because our originally planned country club venue canceled due to coronavirus! We were so lucky to find Cortney and Sage at the "eleventh hour!" Cortney helped us find an outdoor tented reception venue and assuaged our fears as we progressed towards the big day! Everything went off without a hitch and my daughter and her now husband had the beautiful reception that they planned ... full of love and joy while meeting the safety guidelines of coronavirus. My wish is for every 2020 Bride-to-Be to have the beautiful wedding day experience that we had! Sage and Cortney made that happen for us and definitely can make that happen for you! -

Ed and his team were amazing!! The food was perfectly executed! We choose to do family style with filet mignon and crab cakes. The steak was tender and cooked perfect, and the crab cakes were all crab no filler! Our guests raved about the food and how unique it was to do family style. We had a retired chef as one of our guests, he loved everything we chose as options! Ed was very responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process. He was honest and knowledgeable, and worked as a mentor to assist with making the right decisions. We have received nothing but positive feedback from our guests, which confirms that we made the right decision by picking Sage! -

Sage Catering was phenomenal for our wedding! My husband and I are total foodies and we loved the food. We heard from many of our guests that it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful and helpful. They really helped make our wedding day totally hassle-free and delicious! They were wonderfully accommodating early in our wedding planning when we had a long delay in booking the venue and setting a date.
We worked with Trisha, who is a superhero. She helped us coordinate with our other vendors and there wasn’t a single hiccup. We got married at an urban farm that required us to coordinate with a lot of other vendors and it was no problem at all for Trisha. From early on it was clear she had absolutely everything under control and could roll with any and all bumps in the road. She was a delight to work with and her expertise and recommendations were very helpful. She was always very prompt and flexible. Interacting with her was never a chore like it can be with some vendors.
I really could not recommend Sage and Trisha more highly! -

Our wedding was essentially a long-distance wedding. We opted to have it back in my hometown, but I had moved to Arkansas three years prior to be with my now-husband, and while saving up for the big day we could only afford to travel back to Philadelphia once before the wedding. Hiring Sage was the best vendor decision I made, hands-down. Not only did they perfect the food that my guests and my photographer still rave about (not a small task for a bride with food allergies!), but Trisha worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect for the big day. She is the reason we didn't need to travel back and forth to Philly! She went above and beyond to coordinate with the venue, ensure the reception went smoothly and even cut out table numbers I'd forgotten about at the last minute. We are so thankful for Sage and would recommend them to any bride or groom in a heartbeat! -

I'm not going to write everything I liked about sage because I don't have that much time...but please understand, if you choose another caterer for your wedding, you are doing it wrong.
Ed was always available, understanding, and sensitive to literally everything we wanted. When the groom (an amateur chef of sorts) wanted to amend the menu, he made sure it was taken care of. When ramps happened to be in season, he added them to the menu with 3 days to go...and acted like he didn't mind. When my (then) fiance and I were in tasting wine in coastal Oregon and ran into a couple that happened to be from where we were getting married, they instantly said "SAGE IS THE BEST" before we even told them what our wedding plan was. They were right. Thanks Ed and all of Sage Catering. -

We had our tasting at Sage last weekend and we absolutely cannot wait for our wedding in 2020! Trisha dealt with our inquires in an extremely professional way and has been very responsive since day 1! The chef sat down with us the entire time and was throwing out ideas for our wedding since we are supplying the proteins as we own a pig farm. You can tell how passionate he is about food and supplying a premium product. We are looking forward to everything they have in store for us and were pleased to hear their willingness to work with our farm to table menu! There was not one single thing we tasted that we did not like! Kudos Sage Catering!! -

Top notch from day one! We were married 2 weeks ago and right after the first email exchange and tasting, we knew we wanted to go with Sage for our wedding. We worked with Trisha and I cannot say enough amazing things about her. She guided us through all the decisions (including ones we didn't even know we had to make!) and made the process so smooth. The food was absolutely delicious. It isn't your typical, manufactured, mass quantity wedding food. The combinations and flavors and presentations were perfect. Everyone was raving about how this wedding was one where people actually will remember the food! They come with an army of people to set up everything; we were blown away by all the support to make their events happen. If you want quality food, service and an event that people will remember, Sage (and Trisha!) will not disappoint! -

Alison Sent on 07/27/2018Working with Sage Catered Events was hands down the best decision my husband and I made while planning our wedding. Working with Ed and his team could not have been easier. He made it very clear that whatever we wanted or came up with for our menu, could be done. He wasn't kidding. My husband and I made changes up until two weeks before our wedding (we're a pain) and it was not an issue at all. From our initial contact when showing interest in Sage, to the last second of our wedding day, we absolutely received incredible service from Ed and Sage as a whole. Our tasting was so fun, easy going, and delicious, and that showed even on our wedding day. We've all been to weddings where the food, when mass produced, is less than great, but even for our wedding of 135 guests, every dish looked/tasted like the ones at our tasting. Guests are STILL telling us how delicious the food was. If you are looking for a catering vendor that really puts your mind at ease, takes the reigns, and delivers what they promise which is fantastic food and service, I would recommend Sage one thousand times over. I hope to work with them in the future for personal and corporate events.
