Perfect wedding venue

As the mother of the bride, I can honestly say the team at Safety Harbor Resort and Spa on Tampa Bay made what can often be a busy and emotional time feel seamless, joyful, and truly unforgettable.

From the very beginning, we were met with warmth, professionalism, and an incredible level of detail. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—elegant, well-kept, and the perfect setting for such a meaningful day. The reception in the Athena Room was stunning, creating a beautiful and memorable atmosphere for our family and friends. Every detail contributed to a celebration that felt truly special.

What stood out most to me was the incredible leadership at the resort. Maria Savakis Touloumis was an excellent director, and we truly appreciated her guidance, patience, and attention to keeping us on schedule. Her calm and organized approach gave us so much confidence throughout the entire process. The quality and presentation of food at the rehearsal dinner and reception was amazing as well!

Their attention to detail and reassuring presence made all the difference—not just for my daughter, but for our entire family. They handled every aspect of the day with such care, from coordinating vendors to keeping the timeline on track, all while making sure the bride and groom could simply enjoy their moment.

As a parent, you hope everything goes perfectly for your child on their wedding day, and thanks to this team, it truly did. Any concerns I had were quickly eased, and I felt confident throughout the entire process that we were in capable and caring hands.

I am so grateful for the role they played in making my daughter’s wedding day so beautiful and stress-free. It was everything we hoped for and more, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Safety Harbor Resort and Spa on Tampa Bay to anyone looking to create a truly special celebration.

This place was amazing!

I recently had my wedding at Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Maria, the Assistant Director of Catering, helped us every step of the way—from the planning process to the big day. She was incredibly helpful, attentive to detail, and made sure everything ran smoothly.

The hotel is beautiful both inside and out, and the bridal suite was a perfect space for my bridesmaids and I to get ready together. The staff were all wonderful—kind, professional, and very attentive to our needs. Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate such a special day, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a special occasion.

Everyone loved this place!

Amazing experience with numerous people saying it was "the best wedding reception" they'd ever been to. I was the father of the bride and, from the second we inquired until the very end, this was clearly a great choice. Jenna the event coordinator is amazing and kept things moving (we didn't use a wedding coordinator). We had many "snobby" guests that like to complain, but we heard only great things about (a) the hotel itself, which is a kitschy, old Florida place that out-of-town guests found really fun to stay at, (b) the happy hour in the great hall (very classy and they have a grand piano...we hired a pianist), (c) the reception hall (we used the big one and it was beautiful and really doesn't need much decorating; great acoustics) (d) the food (we did buffet style and it was definitely better than your average "wedding food"), (e) the step-out-for-a-minute spaces if the music is too loud or whatever (there is a nice bar right outside the banquet hall plus two giant seating areas that are super comfortable), and, finally, (f) Safety Harbor itself, as there are numerous fun bars, restaurants, and coffee shops mere feet from the spa itself.

I live in the area and pretty much looked at every popular venue in Pinellas County and this was the obvious choice and we have zero regrets!

This place is the best!!!

My wife and I hosted our wedding reception here and it was nothing short of incredible! The resort is such a charming gem located in the heart of Safety Harbor. We had over a hundred guests travel from all across the world to stay here and celebrate with us. They all greatly enjoyed the resort, accommodations, service, amenities, and the surrounding area. The service and catering they provide is top notch as well. The food and drinks were plentiful and all delicious!

We do also have to give a special shout out to their coordinator, Maria Touloumis. She truly is a godsend! She is the most professional, friendly, funny and communicative coordinator ever. She tirelessly handled everything from the planning, catering, event space, vendors, providing recommendations, day-of coordinating, and more! Her and her staff are truly the best at what they do - providing the best and most seamless service ever.

One of the best parts is we feel like the resort provides incredible bang-for-your-buck value for your wedding/event. If we could do it all over again, we would pick Safety Harbor Resort and Spa ten times out of ten. Huge thank you once again to Maria and everyone else here for making our weekend so magical!

Excellent Wedding Coordination

We had an awesome wedding & reception experience at the resort as usual. We were married outdoors at tranquility garden, which was decorated beautifully with flowers & roman arch. Maria and her staff were great stepping in when the previous wedding coordinator moved on, she made us feel like family. It's been 11 days and our guests are still talking about the food that was served at our reception and of course the entire resort and the town of Safety Harbor. We have stayed there numerous times and our expectations are met each time. We highly recommend this resort, Maria, and her team.

Maria and Safety Harbor Resort & Spa for the win!

I was a guest for a wedding event at Safety Harbor Resort & Spa on March 26th 2023 where Maria Savakis Touloumis was the coordinator. She performed all the organization and execution from the ceremony to the couples send off.
She did a superb job choreographing everything so the event was absolutely first class.
Safety Harbor is a delightful resort for a wedding event as I was comfortable, well fed and thoroughly enjoyed my stay on this magnificent property.
I highly recommend Maria and Safety Harbor Resort & Spa if you are looking for a first class vendor team.

Bridal Shower Spa Day

I had my daughters Bridal Shower at the resort, some of our group went for spa treatments and some of us just wanted to enjoy the spa amenities. We had a wonderful lunch in the Tranquil Garden, absolutely gorgeous. We all felt like Royalty. The spa employees all knew the group we were with and went out of their way to make our day fantastic, no matter what we were doing. The food was above and beyond and the Apple Cobbler for dessert was the best anyone ever tasted. The spa itself is steeped in history and is so beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone hosting a special event. We were a small group but treated like we took over the whole spa. I cant thank the staff enough for making our day special

Amazing place for a wedding

Safety Harbor is an amazing place for a wedding

Our wedding was perfect we couldn't have asked for a better day. Katie was amazing and really step up to make sure everything was perfect. There was an issue in the tent where the reception was going to be and the carpet got a bit wet. Safety Harbor step up to the plate and took care of all of it. My husband and I couldn't have been happier. The Safety Harbor staff make sure everything is perfect. Thank you Katie and the operation manger I think his name was Francisco, for being on top of everything and making our wedding a beautiful, stress free celebration.

Perfect wedding day!!!

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! From start to finish, Safety Harbor Resort and Spa made our wedding dreams come true. Maria and Jessica are amazing at what they do. They are prompt, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. Maria was the most amazing on our special day keeping me calm and up to date with weather updates. We got married on the outside terrace overlooking Tampa Bay. The weather was perfect and the venue was breathtaking. The service is spectacular. My guests said it was the best wedding food they have every had. The bartenders made amazing drinks and people did not had to wait. The day started and ended perfectly, I am beyond happy with my experience. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Tampa Bay area, this is it!!! No need to look further. You won’t regret it!!!!

Best Experience Ever

Held our son’s wedding on 6/13/21 and we couldn’t be happier. Maria Savakis Touloumis was our wedding planner and she met and exceeded our expectations. Very knowledgeable and we trusted her judgement. She was available all day long to make sure everything ran smoothly. Checked in during the reception frequently. Service staff and food was excellent. This was our 3rd wedding we hosted ( 2 at other venues) and Safety Harbor Spa was the best.

Super excited for our wedding here in February!

Both me and my fiancé are both absolutely obsessed with this venue! We live in Clearwater and we already knew Safety Harbor was going to be the place we got married. We did look at other options before but the biggest reason why we were sold on getting married here is because of Maria! She is the most caring and helpful wedding coordinator out there! Maria was amazing!

Maria was amazing! She helped us find vendors fir everything we need. She took the stress out if planning out wedding. The vendors she referred us also gave us much better deals than what we were able to find on our own. They've also renovated Safety Harbor spa and it looks amazing! Stopped by to see how one if their weddings looked and I was completely impressed. The guests also raved about the food. Can't wait to have my wedding there! Best venue with the best planner!

When we walked into safety harbor and toured with the wedding planner Maria we knew it was meant for us! The venue is beyond beautiful and located off the downtown strip for all friends and family out of town to enjoy! Maria was so helpful with the wedding planning and really went above and beyond for us! I wish I could have her plan all my life events. Every guest had a blast because of all the hard work Maria put in! She was very responsive, professional, and genuine. You truly gain a friend when working with her! I HIGHLY recommend this venue! You won’t be disappointed!

Great attention even for our small wedding

When I first started looking at venues, there was some difficulty finding a place that would take our small group of about 20. While we didn't have the traditional big group we still wanted something memorable. Safety Harbor Resort was very accommodating and had great spaces even for a small group. Maria helped us get everything planned and made the process easy and ensured the day of went without a hitch. The food was fantastic and was enough to even fill up the biggest guys in our party. The servers and bartender was great and Francoise was very helpful as well making sure the food came out timely and looked great. We had a suite with a bay view for the two nights we stayed there and the room was awesome, great view. I was slightly worried it wouldn't feel like a wedding due to the size but everything turned out magical. Thank you Maria, Francoise, Leslie, and everyone else at Safety Harbor Resort!

Safety Harbors Spa and resort catered to every need of my sisters Wedding Day!

My sister and her new husband had her wedding there June 21, 2020. Maria at the Safety Harbor Spa and Resort went above and beyond anything anyone could imagine.

Maria was there every step of the way yesterday just as if she was the wedding planner herself. Maria and her staff were so awesome!

We didn't have to ask for anything, her staff was there every step of the way. It was the most perfect day for my sister and her new husband to start their be life together, without having to worry anything. Hats off to Maria and her staff at the Safety Harbor Spa and Resort!❤💙☺

Best place to get married in the area

This was the best place that we could have ever asked for to get married at. They were amazing!!!!!! Everything is right there for your guests. We were completely relaxed and taken care of by the staff. From the coordinator Maria to Francois the catering coordinator. The guests (and us) raved about the food and the service that we all received!!!! We hated to leave the resort when it was all over. Definitely would recommend to anyone planning a wedding or event in the Tampa Bay area.

The most beautiful weekend at safety harbor spa

My brother just got married this past weekend and the reception was at safety harbor spa. Maria touloumis was the BEST host, and help with the wedding. She treated my family and guests like her own family. The rooms were authentic and clean and service around the hotel was beyond amazing. Exceptional service and food!

SHS was the location for our son's wedding on 1/25/20, and we were VERY impressed with the service, decor, and above all...the food! It was exceptional and Maria was a top notch planner and worked with our in-laws and our "big Fat Greek wedding" list that kept changing every day. She was patient and kind, and bent over backwards to make us happy! Thanks Maria and staff for a day that we will always remember for our children :-).

11.30.19 Wedding

We just had our wedding at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa and it was beautiful. Our coordinator, Thai, was amazing with all of our planning. She was always available for questions and made our day of perfect. We had so many compliments on the venue and the food. We could not have asked for a more special wedding ceremony and reception!

Fairytale. My wedding was a dream

Maria T and the staff at Safety Harbor are amazing. They take care of every single detail. The venue space, food, and service was amazing. As a bride you do not want to have to worry about anything on your wedding day and they make sure you don’t. The price is worth it and they have packages to fit any budget. I was able to have the Cinderella princess wedding of my dreams. I cannot begin the thank Maria and staff enough for all they did. The guests at my wedding had an amazing time and I will remember it forever. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful venue for their wedding.

Intimate & Romantic Safety Harbor Resort Wedding

Professional with a personal touch

First, allow me to say thanks to all whom left their reviews on Maria T., they were all spot on. If you are a detailed oriented person, Maria is a great fit.

Of the multiple venues we had visited, our experience at Safety Harbor Resort and Spa was the absolute best! Maria and the staff there are wonderful. Extremely attentive, patient and understanding.

We left our visit knowing that Maria would provide peace of mind and the support and coordination we'll need to plan our wedding. She listens and pays attention to detail. She provided her advice based on her extensive experience with such occasions.

She took her time to create a customized package to suit our needs and budget, offered great potential savings and treated us to a lovely brunch, to which of course provided us with the opportunity to taste and see the quality of their meals as well as experience the top level of service from the staff.

None of the other vendors offered half as much. We truly felt like we were appreciated and that our potential business was important to them.

I would highly recommend considering Safety Harbor Resort and Spa for your next event. It would be a mistake to not make an appointment and provide them the opportunity to earn your business. This is our last stop. Truly as the saying goes, we "saved the best for last".

Elegant Affair

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa was the perfect venue for our wedding vision. The ability to have the ceremony and reception on the same property was a huge time saver. The Four Springs Ballroom was beautiful and looked phenomenal when all of the fine details were set. We had a few small issues with the wedding tent and the cleanliness of the "look". However, at the end of the day the small issues were not noticeable and the team at Safety Harbor did their absolute best to make our dream day perfect! The food was divine (the few bites we were able to grab before being puled away!), the guests raved about it for weeks to come. If we were to do this all over again, we would choose the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa!

Amazing venue and manager

Wedding Venue

I would recommend this venue to brides in a heartbeat. I told my husband if we could do our wedding again, I would.. and I wouldn't change a thing. Everything from the rehearsal dinner at the pool bar, to the ceremony in the tent, to cocktail hour in History Hall to the reception in the Four Springs Ballroom. It was all perfect. I can not say enough good things about Maria Touloumis. Exactly one month before my wedding, my catering coordinator quit... leaving me panicked. Everything I had discussed was with someone else, I was scared and nervous. Maria and I talked that night.. and she assured me everything would be perfect and she made she everything was. The food, decorations, planning.... was perfect. I'm thrilled with how our wedding turned out.

The spa and all the staff are just excellent. I had my wedding here and everything went completely as planned. All my guests had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. I've been to the spa several times now and will continue to keep coming back. Safety Harbor is a great little town with lots of events on Main Street. Perfect location and a perfect place to have a wedding. Plus the guess I'll get access to the fitness center, Pools and Hot Tubs, etc. Thank you too Maria, Jessica and all the stuff for making our day so special

Our daughter and son-in-laws’s wedding reception was held at the spectacular Safety Harbor Spa and Resort. We also had her bridal shower which held in the outdoor tent. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The food was amazing! Maria our wedding coordinator is the best to work with. She is very knowledgeable, professional and yet I felt as if I was working with an old friend!

The venue sets the tone for a very elegant but fun wedding. The staff was very accommodating to our every need. The food was delicious, and our wedding pictures are amazing. We had such a great time, we didn't want it to end. So we are thinking of having a 1 year anniversary "after party" there. That should be amazing.

We had our daughter's wedding ceremony as well as reception here and it was a BEAUTIFUL and FUN-PACKED time! They took care of EVERYTHING! From the very beginning stages of planning to the actual wedding day. Maria gave recommendations for linens, cake decorators, DJ's, photographers, etc. She made the planning process so laid back and easy. The wedding day is upon us and as we all know nothing ever goes exactly as planned, right? Life happens! But Maria took the stress out of it all for us and made it a very beautiful, enjoyable, fun filled night that we will always remember and wish we could do over again!! Thank you Maria and your staff for everything!! We haven't gotten our photos back yet but we will be sure to share when we do. Safety Harbor ROCKS!

Safety Harbor Spa is the perfect venue for a wedding of about 250 guests. It's especially accommodating for out of town guests. Maria and her staff are wonderfully helpful and professional. We couldn't have picked a better place for her reception.

Flawless. Maria and the team at SHRS have weddings down to a science, but still have a way of making you feel like you're their only client. When we started our venue search, we looked at cheaper places too but all of them were completely a la carte in terms of getting other vendors. We figured by the time we hired all of them it would cost just as much but be even more stressful trying to coordinate with all individual vendors. The packages at SHRS include venue, catering, alcohol, some decor, cake (as long as you go with one of their preferred vendors), linens, tableware, and your day-of coordinator. Imagine trying to hire all of those separately on top of your DJ, florist, officiant, etc.! The initial price tag may be a bit of a sticker shock, but it's well worth it. Plus, if you're flexible, they'll work with you to lower your overall price.
Our ceremony was in the tent which was gorgeous! It made the 120 people feel like an intimate wedding. Even though it's right next to the pool, you can't hear any outside noise and would have no idea that people were sunbathing on the other side of it. The reception was in the Four Springs ballroom which is simply stunning. There really aren't any other words to describe it, and I feel like googling photos doesn't do it justice but I would highly recommend it.
The food alone is worth every penny. We did a buffet and chose the mahi, New York strip, and eggplant rollatini. We had several vegetarian guests which was the only reason we even entertained the eggplant initially but it ended up being my favorite thing on the menu. We had guests tell us the New York strip was the best steak they've ever had and the mahi got rave reviews as well.
If you're lucky enough to have Maria as your coordinator, count your blessings! She is amazing and knows how to put on a wedding. She asks questions you wouldn't even think to consider, and is incredibly accommodating. Book your wedding here - you won't be disappointed!

I wanted to write a quick review about this resort and the staff (especially Maria). Our daughter was married at Safety Harbor on 5/28/17 and Maria could not have been more helpful. My husband and I live in PA and our daughter lives in FL so we were unable to help much with the planning. Maria jumped right in and helped my daughter plan an absolutely beautiful day. From beginning to end, Maria was right there to make sure everything went smoothly. Given how beautiful this place is, we were also pleasantly surprised at the affordability. We are so pleased and would highly recommend this venue and especially Maria.

Our family recently hosted a bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and wedding reception all at this venue. It is quite a gem! There are several rooms and locations within this venue to choose from. Beautiful settings for pictures both indoor and outdoor. The food was creative and amazing! All three events had different types of food ordered and none disappointed. The event planner, Maria T. was absolutely wonderful. She helped us navigate through the details, offered insightful suggestions and all in all was a pleasure to work with. She is knowledgeable and professional, yet puts you at ease. I highly recommend this venue. My only regret is that I didn't find it sooner. Since this is also a hotel and spa, it is perfect for out of town guests, or for the guests who would like to stay over instead of driving home. It makes for a great weekend retreat.

We chose this location for our wedding ceremony and reception based on WW reviews, the charm and history of the property, and the unique look of the resort and event spaces we picked. And the amazing food we tasted at their Sunday buffet! About 3-4 weeks before our wedding we had to make some unexpected changes that were very stressful, but everyone at Safety Harbor was absolutely amazing. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel like valued customers. I'm sure our wedding of under 50 people was very small compared to many of the events they host, but we never felt that from them. Maria Touloumis and her staff were fantastic! They really made us feel like family throughout the planning, our tasting and any time we had to communicate with them with questions or concerns. I can't say enough about all they did for us, and our wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Thank you!!

I can not express enough how amazing this place is. When my husband and first walked in we were greeted with smiling faces and helpful hands. The grounds are absolutley beautiful and the rooms have a special historic charm. I chosw to have my hair and make up done in the spa and Paul Oliver made me look so beautiful! His professional touch made my husband actually gasp when he saw me coming down the aisle! Maria Touloumis was our catering manager and she made everything perfect for our big day! She didnt miss a single detail during the planning process, making sure we had everything just the way we wanted it! She is a firecracker who isnt afraid to get what you want done and make sure all your vendors stay on task and on schedule so that our day flowed so perfectly! Her focus was always on making sure we were happy and taken care of like royalty! Our guests could not stop raving abpit how wonderful the staff were and how amazing the food tasted! We didnt have a single complaint from our guests the entire night!! We have already recomended many people to use safety harbor as their venue and had an engaged couple who attended our wedding inform us that they will definatly be having their big day there!! AMAZING Wedding. The facility is beautiful. We had the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception all on site. We worked with Maria Touloumis in Catering. She is the best. Very helpful, always calm, made changes as we went along... was awesome at the Wedding and Reception. Staff was great, rooms were super, food was fantastic. Cocktail hour on the outdoor deck overlooked Tampa Bay was fantastic at sunset. it was the BEST wedding I have ever been to. Near PERFECT in every way. This place is just breath taking. The charm and history of the resort alone made it a reason for my husband and I want to see it in person. It definitely did not disappoint. Zandra, my coordinator, was fantastic! She guided me on the arrangements that needed to be done on my part when I felt overwhelmed with what to do first and stayed on top of every detail to make sure things were done on time with me, the banquet team and my vendors. The banquet team were all very professional and accommodating at the reception and the food was fantastic! My guests also raved about the food at the cocktail hour that I unfortunately missed because of pictures. This venue is very beautiful, the resort staff were all very friendly and my suite was huge. I came to realize that the key to the perfect wedding after you find your venue is your coordinator. You can find the perfect venue, but if your coordinator is not accessible or is not committed to help, your event does not come together and will be a complete disaster. We were so fortunate to have Zandra. I enjoyed working with her very much because she really cared about making sure my daughter's wedding was perfect. She truly went above and beyond, even assisting with "issues" with some of the future "in-laws". She worked so closely with me and my daughter on our event that I feel like she is part of our family now.

My daughter was married Saturday, August 20 at the Safety Harbor Resort & Spa and we couldn't be more pleased with everything! We worked with Catering Sales Manager Maria Maxwell and she was a pleasure to do business with! Because of a staffing change at the Spa, Maria only had 3 weeks to pull together all the details of a wedding that included the wedding and plated dinner reception on site for 170 guests. Our wedding reception was absolutely incredible! The atmosphere was elegant, the friendly staff had everything (decorations, table settings, etc) set up just how I asked. The food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) was very delicious. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The wedding planner - Maria Touloumis - was excellent. She is very professional, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure this day was what I dreamed of. We also got a free room to be able to stay the night at the Spa after our reception and enjoyed the pool the next morning. She is so experienced and really knows what she is doing and will listen to all of your needs and always delivers. Maria Maxwell (sales coordinator) was also such a great help; The staff all works so good together. All of the food at our reception was spectacular. Each and every one of our guests have not stopped talking about how impressed they were with their meals and how delicious it was. The catering staff/servers were on their game the entire night, always with a smile on their faces. We had our reception in the four seasons ballroom, which is such a beautiful room!! If you are thinking about having your wedding at Safety Harbor Spa, look no further and go for it. We looked at so many other venues in Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater and none of them can compare to S.H.P.

I am so glad I chose Safety Harbor Resort and Spa as the venue for my wedding! I had Maria Touloumis as my wedding coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful, attentive, and supportive with every decision I made. She designed a custom wedding package to fit our every need without compromising our budget. Maria, as well as all of the Safety Harbor Spa employees made me feel comfortable about choosing this location for my wedding celebration. We truly had our dream wedding/wedding reception, and could not have done with without Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. Maria our wedding coordinator made all of our wedding dreams come true!! She is wonderful and was our wedding fairy godmother. Anything we wanted, she made it happen! Any problems that came up, she immediately put out the fires. She provided us with a stress free wedding experience, which is a bride's dream. The resort is historical and unique, very quaint and cozy. The tiki bar by the pool is a great hang out. The food was AMAZING! They offer such unique food options for wedding food packages, not your typical wedding food. Our service was wonderful, could not have felt more taken care of and tended to. Thank you so much Maria and your entire wedding crew, we had the time of our lives!!

Safety Harbor Resort was our second choice, I was looking at Vinoy Renaissance before making my decision. My choice was easy, due to lack of response and attention to details from director of Vinoy I knew what I had to do.
Diana Cardenas - Catering Sales Manager for Safety Harbor called me next day after my enquiry. We met her a week later, liked everything about what she said, happily signed our contract. But no wedding plan goes without a glitch....
Two months before the wedding I tried contacting Diana to set up tasting. I was informed by her boss that she no longer works there but had Katherine Turner taking her place.

Katherine was a pleasure to work with, she is consistent, smart, easy going and pretty much saved us from losing tons of money and our minds. Let me explain why......
When we signed our contract we also had written email asking to have 5 rooms set up and had confirmed email from Diana that it was done. As we were going over details with Katherine she informed us that we didn't have any reservations made, worse there was no more rooms available to book at the moment due to spring break everything was already reserved. We were so upset ready to terminate our contract... Katherine reassured us that she would do everything in her power and find us rooms, there was some time and cancelations can happen. She did just that, she place us on a list for first available cancelations. I was supper happy when she found us all the requested rooms a week later. Katherine worked with us on our schedule, stayed way pass her hours and has been in contact almost every day to make sure that we had everything we asked for. She even stayed till the last minute of the wedding and helped me with my bustle.... who does that? She deserves a gold medal.

The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa was the perfect place for our wedding and reception on March 26th, 2016. It's a gorgeous hotel with an old Florida feel that had every amenity we needed for the wedding and our stay. We had our wedding in the beautiful Tranquility Garden and reception in the air-conditioned Tent that when you walked inside it looked like a ballroom. Our room overlooked the Tranquility Garden, which was great because we watched other weddings and brides taking pictures in front of the fountain. We worked with Katherine Turner from the hotel who was nothing short of amazing. She was so professional and courteous with us during the months leading up to the wedding. She consistently stayed in contact with us via email or phone to ensure everything was covered, and even was there for the wedding and reception to help out if we needed anything. Give her a raise! The food was delicious and the wait staff was wonderful. Overall, it was a terrific experience and would recommend The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa to any interested couple looking for beautiful experience and place to get married.

Hands down the easiest, most complete, best experience ever. I have heard all the horror stories and was prepared for it all but John Ward and his team made our day PERFECT!!!! No drama, very coordinated, well presented tables, even dealt with two special meals without us reminding them.

The best I can say is that when the bride walked in she said, "this is exactly as I dreamed it would be!"

We had the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa on March 18, 2016. Maria Touloumis, our catering manager, was great to work with. She answered all of my questions during the planning process, and worked to make everything wonderful for our group. All of the dishes served at our dinner were delicious. The banquet staff was excellent. The event was held in the tent near the pool, which was just right for our group of forty. All of the comments I have heard from our dinner guests have been very complimentary.

We stayed at the resort the night of the dinner and were pleased with our room, as well. Our bayview room, located in the tower, was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I also visited with family members staying in a different section of the hotel, and their room was just as nice as ours. The property itself is beautiful.

We have eaten in the restaurant and attended banquets there numerous times over the years and have never had a complaint. I would not hesitate to stay at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa again, or to recommend it to others. As a local resident whose first child was just married, I would definitely consider it as a venue for a future wedding-related event.

There is a line from a song from The Sound of Music that goes: How do you solve a problem like Maria? In the case of Maria Touloumis from Safety Harbor Spa, that line should be rewritten to read: If you have a problem, Maria can solve it! I cannot think of enough adjectives to describe what a pleasure it was to have Maria as my contact. She was always there for me, guiding me when I had questions about what to do, pointing me in the right direction, giving me suggestions when I needed them. She was invaluable - and her judgment and taste are excellent. She has such a friendly way about her, and she is THE BEST to deal with if you are planning a wedding. I truly don't think I could have done it without her. My guests - many of whom are very picky - just loved the venue, the food, the rooms, the ambiance - everything about the Safety Harbor experience. I truly think I won the Wedding Lottery when I connected with Maria!

My sister's wedding took place on 2/20/16. I am a professional wedding planner and own Quickcare Event Planners located in Tampa. Needless to say my expectations were high and perfection was a must for my baby sister!
For this event I was able to enjoy the fact that everything was taken care of and I could enjoy this moment in time with my family and friends.
I have known John Ward (Catering Director) for many years & many events and he always goes above and beyond! Love him!!!!
He is professional and always on point. He and his wonderful staff staged a fabulous event for us. Even on a tight budget John said not to worry and he included so many wonderful amenities for my sis and our family. As he has always done for all of my clients!
I would highly recommend Safety Harbor Resort and Spa.... it is gorgeous and the rooms are wonderful and spacious. The grounds are beautiful and so many photo opps.
You will definitely have the wedding of your dreams!

We cant thank Maria Touloumis enough in all she did to put on a spectacular wedding for our daughter. The Safety Harbor Spa is a beautiful venue for your big day. Our guest loved the facility and the atmosphere and service was outstanding. We did receive many compliments on the food and besides the fact that it was presented well the dinner portions were second to none. We eat out a lot as a family and most places do not give you the portions we received. The food was delicious. Each and every staff member we came in contact with was excellent. If we had to do another event or wedding we certainly know where we would go.

Maria thanks again you did a fabulous job helping us with coordinating every inch so that Maloris wedding went off without a hitch. Thank you so much.

I had my wedding reception at the Spa in the four springs ballroom. This was the best decision I made. Maria Touloumis was the most amazing person to have plan my reception. I had no worries at all because of her. She was so efficient, organized, honest, generous, professional and just all around AMAZING! We loved the idea of having our wedding at the historic Safety Harbor Resort & Spa so we could have our ceremony and reception at the same place our out of town guests could stay. Having never planned a wedding before, I did not know what to expect. After our first meeting with Maria Savakis Touloumis, I knew we make the right choice. Maria put us at ease i knew she'd be there, with her experience, all along the way. She worked with us with every detail and pointed us in the right direction as we put our day together. Every guest told us it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. The cake was perfect. The service was genuine. We feel like we joined the family at Safety Harbor Resort and have enjoyed returning at our 6th month anniversary and now today- one year later. Maria will always have a special place in our hearts and we make sure to say hi every time we come back.

We engaged the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa to provide the cocktail hour and reception/dinner for our wedding on February 14, 2016. John Ward and his staff did an amazing job. They handled every detail with great care and the event was quite simply "perfect". Every single aspect exceeded our expectations from the quality of the food to the caliber of the service. The food was not only delicious, but the presentation was exquisite. In addition, the decorations in the wedding tent were incredibly beautiful down to the last detail. In addition, the staff was extremely accommodating and gracious to us and all of our guests. We have received rave reviews from many of those who attended. One couple even said that based on their experience with the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa at our wedding reception that they will consider it as a potential site to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Rave reviews for John Ward and his staff. Thanks to each and everyone of you for making our wedding reception amazing in every way.

My husband and I just had our wedding less than a week ago at the Spa. Maria Savakis Touloumis was such a pleasure to work with. She genuinely cared about you and your budget. Not only was she a sweetheart, she always gave you a good laugh. She would let us know what we really needed at the reception and what we didn't need to waste money on. If it wasn't for her I don't think our reception would have gone so smoothly.

The Spa is such a gorgeous place in general but the room was completely transformed. On top of that, Maria was constantly around to make sure everything was going as we had discussed. She always answered her calls/texts in a timely matter and made everything we wanted happen. Another plus was the amazing food that was served. Everyone was amazed by how delicious the salmon tasted with such a large group of people.

I just want to say thank you to Maria and the staff at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, you helped make our wedding one of the best days of our lives!

We absolutely loved our wedding at Safety Harbor Resort and Spa! Both of our families still talk about how great it was. From the service, to the scenery and beautiful ballroom, to the food, everything was perfect. The whole staff was very accommodating, helpful, and caring. We worked directly with Diana Cardenas during the planning process and the day of the wedding. She made my stresses melt away. She was very organized, level headed, and just great at what she does. When I thought I was being a stressed out, high maintenance bride she reassured me that I was a pleasure to work with and that I was doing a great job. It just shows how kind she is. When my new husband forgot my very special, engraved wine glass in the hotel room after we checked out, Diana made sure to locate it and ship it to me at no cost back to Massachusetts. Our families loved the resort and had so much fun during our wedding weekend. If we could do it all over again, we'd do it again at Safety Harbor Resort!

This was the most beautiful venue. It offered several beautiful settings for the ceremony. The Ball room was very elegant and gave a wonder romantic feeling to the celebration. My daughter was looking for a location that would bring in Florida charm and a vintage/elegant feel to her special day. This venue did all that and more. The Safety Harbor Resort was wonderful and it provided extremely reasonable yet posh accommodations for our out of town guests. It was a wonderful experience.

Our wedding was absolutely beautiful thanks to Safety Harbor Resort & Spa and our wedding coordinator Maria Savakis Touloumis. Maria was always there when I needed something and was always there to give me good ideas. I gave her the list of all my vendors and she made sure to get in touch with them all to make sure everything went smoothly the day of; and that's exactly what she did, I didn't have to worry about a thing and got to enjoy every second of my special day! Having our daughters wedding at Safety Harbor Resort and Spa was absolutely the best decision! The venue was perfect for out of town guests (as well as in-town guests) who enjoyed every moment t the spa and in the town of Safety Harbor. The wedding was in the tent, the cocktail party was at the Tranquility Gardens, the dinner and dance was in the Bayshore Conference Center and the back pool deck was used for a coffee/cigar bar after the reception....we were able to enjoy many areas of the spa to make our daughter and son-in-laws wedding day perfect. All of this was made possible by Maria T. who worked with us from day one on planning a wedding that was everything that the bride and groom wanted for their perfect day. Maria went above and beyond to provide us with everything that we requested and offered suggestions and ideas that would make the day not only be perfect but to run smoothly. Maria T. was always available and would return messages/voicemails/texts immediately which is a great comfort as you are planning a wedding. Maria was much more than our wedding/event coordinator she became a real friend and was concerned with every detail of the wedding but more importantly she was concerned with the happiness of the bride and groom (as well as their families)! I cannot say enough great things about SHRS and Maria T. the experience was amazing and we have nothing but wonderful, incredible memories of our daughter and son-in-laws wedding day!

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely amazing. The staff are really helpful and added a lot of additional touches. We had our reception in the ballroom which was beautiful . Also their catering is exceptional - both the appetizers and the main courses were among the best I have had at a wedding. All the guests really enjoyed the wedding here.

I celebrated a civil wedding ceremony at the ballroom at safety harbor. Huauuu that place is amazingly beautiful... the food was one of the best I have ever try in Florida and Maria Toulomis was the most wonderful person I have ever met. I recommend this place to anyone wishing to have a magic moment in their life.

We absolutely loved our reception at Safety Harbor Resort & Spa. Maria T. at the spa worked with my family and I every step of the way to ensure that the wedding was a blast. From the picking out the table linens to finding me a can of hairspray during the reception, Maria T. is THE BEST! She thought of everything - and she's a miracle-worker with food! We did a duet plate with grouper and filet mignon, which is a challenge to cook properly for 125 people, but everyone raved about the food and the big portions. The Four Springs Ballroom was beautiful and hardly needed any decorating. We even had fun at the tasting and stayed in touch with Maria T. in the months leading up to the big day. She gave her honest opinions about particular dishes and timing, even when it caused her to do more work, she was happy to take care of us. I'd absolutely recommend the Spa to any bride who is considering it. You won't be disappointed.

We recently had our daughter's destination wedding at the Safety Harbor Spa & Resort and we couldn't have been more pleased. The wedding was held in the beautiful Tranquility Garden and the reception in the Four Springs Ballroom. Being a destination wedding, the rehearsal dinner was held in the tent near the pool also. Over all, the entire weekend of events couldn't have been more beautiful! Our guests were all impressed with the food, service and accommodations at the resort. When you are planning a destination wedding, your guests’ accommodations are just as important as the wedding itself and we couldn't have asked for a better. I want to mention one individual who stood out, and she was Maria at the front desk. She went above and beyond to accommodate and make our guests comfortable as well as assist us in the planning of our guests stays.

As for the over-all planning and wedding itself, we cannot say enough about our wedding coordinator, Maria Savakis Touloumis. From helping our daughter pick her very specific menu to the day of the ceremony, Maria was great! Maria never hesitated to answer any questions we had promptly and with honesty. Her experience helped to make planning a destination wedding seamless. She was always willing to meet with us and worked well with our daughter who was transferred out of Tampa for work just after the contract was signed. When there was an issue with weather and an outside event that caused a change in the ceremony venue at the spa, Maria promptly handled the situation and relocated us to the Tranquility Garden without any stress to the bride. The ceremony couldn't have been more beautiful and above all, Maria’s focus was making the bride’s day trouble-free. Maria is a huge asset!

In all, we highly recommend the Safety Harbor Spa & Resort and would not hesitate to have another of our daughters’ weddings there in the future. With Maria as our coordinator, of course.

My daughter got married at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa in May, 2015. We looked at many other venues both here and in Maryland, and the Spa was far and above the overall best choice. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, the area was perfect for our out-of-town guests to enjoy, and most of all our coordinator, Maria was superb. She kept me calm and relaxed from start to finish, and she took care of everything. She added many little extras along the way, including special treats the day of the wedding. We had guests of all ages from many parts of the country, and everyone raved about this wedding. I have recommended the Spa to my family members and friends who have recently become engaged.

I just wanted to add that the FOOD was the most delicious food I have ever had at a wedding in many years.
My husband and I have been to some of the best venues in the states for weddings including downtown NYC,

Maria was extremely helpful every step of the way. She responded quickly to all our questions and even gave us her cell number when she was on vacation. She happily accommodated our special requests, including several last-minute appetizer changes and a special meal for a guest with allergies.

The venue itself was beautiful with a lot of character. It wasn't sterile like some other places we looked at. The food was delicious (and exactly like what we had in the tasting). The value was also hard to beat, especially for a hotel this nice.

We can't say enough good things about this venue. The location is beautiful,the reception hall was gorgeous and the staff was wonderful to work with. The food was delicious and serving size was more than ample. I would highly recommend it to anyone. We worked very closely with Bridgett Chavez. She is a delight to work with.

We searched for a venue for our wedding reception for a LONG time. I almost felt like an expert when it comes to venues because we went and saw so many of them. We finally decided on Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. We're so glad we did! Our wedding coordinator was Diana Cardenas. She is a fantastic representative of Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. She is also a very nice person and to me ... her personality is perfect for her job. Diana has a way of handling stressful times in a way that REDUCES YOUR STRESS! Yes ... please read that again slowly... and you'll thank me later because you're going to find out that anything to reduce your stress at this time of your life ... it's a gift. Diana is a gift.

The resort itself is well managed and very well maintained. Did you ever watch that Hotel impossible tv show where the management is not keeping their hotel nice? Well this hotel would never be on that show! The hotel has a certain something ... a certain quality that we felt made for quite an elegant evening. Also, the staff at the hotel was impressive.

Speaking of the staff! Diana was very easy to deal with from first meeting to the night of the reception and afterwards. We are forever grateful to her :). Also, you may see a man walking around looking a bit stiff and watching everything, I don't know his name but we were told he was the general manager. We spoke to him a few times and he was always courteous and even one time walked up to us and volunteered to take my husband and my picture! Now this is the GM of the resort :). This kind of ... thoughtfulness ... you will see it in so many of the people there.

Please do yourself a favor and select this hotel for your event. You will NOT regret it :)
