    Incredible food, incredible people!

Elizabeth and Joe are not only phenomenal at running this business, they’re also just genuinely awesome humans. From start to finish, we could tell they were dedicated to making our wedding day unforgettable.

Our tasting was such a special experience. We met them at their venue, Chariot, and when we arrived, two seats were set just for us. Joe greeted us with sparkling wine, and from then on, we were treated to what felt like a true tasting menu. Elizabeth included everything we asked for—and even more—while Joe crafted cocktails so we could sample options for our signature drinks. Afterward, we sat down to go over logistics and details, and honestly, everything from there felt so easy. In the month leading up to the wedding, all we had to do was provide our final headcount and confirm our drinks. As a type-A person, I can’t stress enough how refreshing and comforting their calm, organized approach was.

On wedding day, everything was executed flawlessly. They set up welcome drinks that looked beautiful and were easy for guests to grab. Before we even entered cocktail hour, Elizabeth and Joe made sure Tyler and I had a platter of appetizers waiting for us—which was such a thoughtful touch. During cocktail hour, servers were fully prepared with trays of appetizers and drinks, which kept the bar from getting overwhelmed. The bartenders were working hard all night, they were so friendly, and absolutely nailed every drink they made.

We went with a buffet for dinner, and having the catering team serve it elevated the whole experience while keeping the line moving quickly. The food quality was just as incredible as our tasting—something not every caterer can pull off! We had so many guests rave about the food, the cocktails, and the service overall. Multiple people told us how impressed they were not only with the food, but also with the professionalism and warmth of the catering staff.

Elizabeth, Joe, and the entire Sacramento Catering Collective team truly know what they’re doing. They made our wedding feel seamless and special, and we cannot recommend them enough. Everyone should book with them!

    Thank you!

In our early days of wedding planning, my now husband and I agreed primarily on one aspect - food. One of the most significant aspects of a memorable wedding experience is sharing a meal together with loved ones. Including Sacramento Catering Collective to be a part of that intimacy is a decision that we wholeheartedly stand by.

As an Asian American bride, the internal struggle of not having a traditional Vietnamese/Chinese 10 course banquet plagued me, but early conversations with point of contact, Elizabeth, ensured me we made the right decision. Our needs were met with such professionalism and patience. As a healthcare provider, cancellation for the safety of all was always on our mind. Our 175+ guest list became 75. My 2am emails, requests, and check-ins were frequent, but Elizabeth made sure my concerns were put at ease with timely responses and willingness to accommodate.

On the day, Sacramento Catering collective provided us with a lovely 4 course plated dinner service. Scallops, beef filet, lobster, and individualized mini guest cakes - all excellent choices. I inhaled a perfect beef filet in approximately 2 minutes. I heard the hand pulled pasta with lobster was truly a hit. And I can't say enough about the Swiss meringue frosting from their baker, Devon. The attention to detail through refined plating/presentation and stellar service from servers/bartender did not go unnoticed. It was all so thoroughly enjoyable.

Like all weddings, there were mild mishaps, but mostly due to my own miscommunications & misunderstandings. For future couples, I suggest ample discussion between caterer/planner/couple in regards to: dinnerware rentals, alcohol/garnish/mixer needs for drinks, beverage stations, and logistics of guest meal selection. I think all parties would benefit from a checklist to ensure all is well.

It's important to emphasize that wedding planning in a pandemic was a privilege and extending patience and kindness to our vendors should be a priority. We are so grateful for all the efforts of Sacramento Catering Collective in the chaos of Covid-19. Having a mask wearing and vaccinated team with similar values was much appreciated.

There is no doubt that Sacramento Catering Collective will continue to flourish.

Best decision I made for my wedding!

I am a wedding planner that got married so I have seen many many catering vendors throughout the years. I found Sacramento catering collective on Instagram when they dmed as they first started out. I followed them back and kept an eye out for about a year. I watched them grow and I was intrigued by their professionalism and unique dishes through my phone screen. As soon as I got engaged, I thought of them and I visited their website, their Instagram and read their dishes. It sounded too good to be true. I thought, there is no way that I can have fine dining yet Farm to fork style at my wedding. There is probably a catch...
we scheduled a tasting with my fiancé and we were blown away. Chef made a delicious 3 courses for us that left us speechless. Every detail on the dish served a purpose and that is something that I look for when I eat in restaurants. I became a believer in pork that night and I’ll leave it at that. Also I’m a big steak girl and they nailed it. So we decided to book them and a few months go by and my parents thought it sounded too good to be true and for them, food is the most important thing at a wedding. We went ahead and did a second tasting which is unheard of (forever grateful) and once again, blown away. We were so confident in our catering choice at that point. We chose and created a custom menu and even customized dishes. Sacramento catering collective did an amazing job caring for us and wanting us to be happy with our menu. Wedding day came and till this day, people tell me “the food was amazing”. I had people that weren’t even at my wedding come up to me and say “I heard your guy’s food was super good”! That’s how you know it was delicious if your guests are talking about it to their friends haha. Food is an experience, it is something we get to enjoy with people we love, and it is at every celebration because food gathers people together. It is so important to have a good food experience at your wedding celebration because that is what people will leave remembering (especially if it was good). Their staff did an excellent job cleaning the tables off, and everything was done in a good timing. I loved that they served by husband and I first. They truly cared for us every moment. I’ve seen most caterers forget to plate the bride and groom and either the coordinator (myself) would have to serve them. Every wedding I’ve been at I have never seen the bride and groom actually eat because of all emotions and nerves. I was pigging out at my wedding and just waiting for the next course because of how exciting it was for me.
All in all it was the best decision we made for our wedding. We were over the top thankful and it was NOT too good to be true. It really was true.

I would like to share another experience I had with them but when I was planning and coordinating a wedding that they were catering. I got to see how they work behind the scenes and it was so so cool. They are professional from beginning to the end. They work so well together and they were so easy to work with. Every obstacle that came during the wedding, they found solutions for. The driveway was way too steep for their trailer to get close to the reception so they had to park outside the venue. What a team, hustling back and forth up the hills, and still managed to do everything in a timely manor. I would hear them talking amongst themselves and it was so heartwarming to hear one of the servers say “wait! We have to make sure we plate the bride and groom first!” And it made me so happy to see them truly care for their clients behind the scenes. The four courses were delicious, the custom drinks they made for their cocktail hour were absolutely a hit on that hot day. Everything from beginning to end was spectacular and they are so helpful with cleanup. As the coordinator, I always get left with cleaning all the tables but this team did not leave until they were finished with clearing them off. It was a huge huge plus for me when Cody came up and asked what else they can help with. At the end of the wedding I heard guests talking about how good the food was. I 1000% recommend Sacramento catering collective to my clients and anyone reading this.
    You guys are the best!

Wonderful service, fresh and delicious food.

Sacramento Catering Collective truly made our reception amazing. Liz, Bud and their team were wonderful to work with, they were professional, personable and went above and beyond. All of our food was fresh, delicious and presented beautifully, it was all perfect to the last detail. We were able to pull off a beautiful and safe reception during Covid-19. My guests have been raving since our wedding day. I highly recommend hiring this amazing collective for your wedding.

    Appetizing & Delicious

We highly recommend Sacramento Catering Collective to cater your event! Elizabeth was very responsive and flexible regarding our input and budget. We cannot emphasize how good the food looked and tasted! The staff was very receptive to the guidelines for our wedding, and made every attempt to make sure things ran as smoothly as possible. We received plenty of rave reviews from our guests, and we would definitely hire them again for another event!

    Foodie Bride

Hi Everyone at Sacramento Catering Collective, I should’ve written this sooner, thank you for helping make my day amazing.

This company was incredibly professional, accommodating, and talented. They helped bring the fine dining element that I was hoping for at my wedding. We ended up having them write a menu for us. Everything was just perfect. They even printed menus for us and had their own plates and silverware. Service staff was great as well, I loved that they were all dressed in white with aprons just as you would see at a fine dining restaurant. Food, staff, everything, 5 stars.

    Beautiful, well executed, upscale catering.

I had a beautiful experience with the Sacramento Catering Collective, they created an amazing menu for our wedding, we had some vegan guests and others with dietary restrictions and it was no problem. We wanted organic produce and they were happy to source from local farmers. The food was so delicious and our guests were stoked. It was 5 star restaurant quality. Servers passed apps after our ceremony while we took photos, and then once seated, dinner was served. I highly recommend their services. If they have availability book them!

    Fantastic Vendor Using Local Sources

My wife and I used Sacramento Catering Collective to cater our wedding during the middle of the COVID-19 crisis. We cancelled our original plans for 150 people, and quickly threw together a small event with immediate family and bridal party only in about six weeks. Throughout that whole process, we found and reached out to Sacramento Catering Collective, and Elizabeth was extremely responsive, understanding, and patient as our plans were constantly shuffling around during this hectic planning time. She worked with us closely to determine the safest way to prepare and serve food to the guests, and the event eventually went by without a hitch (and with no cases of the virus!). The food, drink, and service were fantastic, and we would 100% work with Elizabeth and the Sacramento Catering Collective again.

    Horrible administration, great food

I have a very mixed review in their efforts to cater our wedding. We originally booked them in 2019 for an affordable price as I believe we were one of their first few clients. They were very very flexible with us having to reschedule our date due to COVID, for that I am grateful. Additionally, as I am a vegan and my husband eats meat it was really hard to find a caterer who does both well but their food is well above the average standard for wedding catering.

However, despite their great food quality, the administration and execution side of their business is severely lacking.

    1. On the wedding day, they did not bring their mobile kitchen as we had agreed upon. They therefore had no where to cook the food and had to go back to Sacramento to cook it. This was very chaotic because again they didn’t communicate well and at one point all of them left and our DOC thought they had quit. This was all kind of laid on my husband and my father and my dad even got to the point where he was about to drive to find a restaurant to cater one hour before it started. Thankfully they came back and said they figured it out but wow was that stressful.
    2. Because they did not bring their mobile kitchen, they did not have that area to prep and therefore decided to take over the sole indoor space in the venue which was supposed to be a lounge space for older guests to be in AC during the cocktail hour. This meant you had to literally walk around them prepping food on tables to go to the bathroom. It both didn’t make sense logistically and was not what we had agreed to.
    3. It became evident throughout the wedding that despite the 4 servers we were promised just a few days before, we got about 2 (3 including Elizabeth since it seems she counts herself as a server although she was not serving a majority of the dinner). This caused the dinner to take two hours instead of the 1 hour we had agreed to. People got really restless, even started throwing paper airplanes and wandering around because it was so long between courses.
    4. The servers were not briefed on the colors of the place cards corresponding to the meal choice so they just started wandering around with food in their hands asking everyone which they wanted.
    5. Since they had server issues they did not pour water or wine during dinner. Our DOC eventually started just doing it herself.
    6. While they were passing out a group shot to the whole wedding, Elizabeth had a tray of maybe 50 shots when the tray slipped and she poured about 50 shots of brandy on me, my dress, and a rented couch. Mistakes happen, but my main point of concern was that she didn’t really say sorry or anything and pretty much acted like it never happened, even later in the night when she said goodbye which isn’t the way to go about it if you pour a tray of liquor on the bride.
    7. Lastly, they didn’t cut and serve our wedding cake.

I don’t know if it’s because we paid 2019 rate which are half the rates now, or if it was because it was so hot, but it seemed they deprioritized us throughout the process, cut corners, and didn’t want to be there on the day of.

I have a very mixed review for the Sacramento Catering Collective in their efforts to cater our wedding. We originally booked them in 2019 for a really affordable price as I believe we were one of their first few clients as a business. They were very very flexible with us having to reschedule our date 3 times due to COVID and us reducing our guest list from 120 to 85, for that I am forever grateful. Additionally, as I am a vegan and my husband eats meat it was really hard to find a caterer who does both well but their food is well above the average standard for wedding catering.

However, despite their great food quality, the administration and execution side of their business is severely lacking. While their communication was amazing when we first hired them it regressed to taking several days and sometimes weeks to get responses to emails with questions about our wedding. We reached a very low point when they canceled our second tasting 4 hours before it started after we scheduled it 5 weeks prior. It was very difficult to schedule the next tasting two months before the wedding since we live 3 hours away.

At that point we were at our wits end so we wrote an email stating that the way we communicated had to change. It took them several days to respond but finally she said they would fix their communication, gave us an updated email address (because apparently they changed it and never informed us so we were emailing them on an old email) and that helped a lot for the future.

The day of the wedding the food was great. The actual execution on the day of was not so great.

    1. They did not bring their mobile kitchen as we had agreed upon. They changed their story twice about why they didn’t bring it which was weird. That being said they therefore had no where to cook the food and had to go back to Sacramento to cook it. This was very chaotic because again they didn’t communicate well and at one point all of them left and our day of coordinator thought they had quit. This was all kind of laid on my husband and my father as they were there at the time and my dad even got to the point where he was about to drive out to find a restaurant to cater one hour before it started. This caused the dinner to take two hours instead of the 1 hour we had agreed to which caused us to have to extend the videographer contract.
Our DOC eventually started just bringing us water herself because, as it was over 100 degrees, we were dying of thirst.
    6. While they were passing out a group shot to the whole wedding, Elizabeth had a tray of maybe 50 shots when the tray slipped and she poured about 50 shots of brandy on me, my dress, a rented couch.
They said they thought it was just a decorative cake but in all of our conversations previous to that, that was not the case. We therefore had literally the entire wedding cake leftover and were sad that it went to waste.

I don’t know if it’s because we paid 2019 rate which are half the rates now, or if it was because it was so hot, but it seemed they deprioritized us throughout the process, cut corners, and didn’t want to be there on the day of.

Overall, I wouldn’t hire them again to do my wedding knowing this. I hope others take this review as a point of caution and that Elizabeth takes this as a recommendation to get another staff member to take on the management of the company before the administrative side takes down what could have been a great business. Either way, I wish them all the success in the world.

    There are better options

My Fiancée and I had scheduled a tasting with this company in June. After we flew in from LA, Elizabeth Bryant contacted us and let us know they'd have to cancel. Because they canceled, they said they would indefinitely hold our date until we were able to reschedule, we thought this was a nice gesture since we didn't know the next time we'd make it to Sacramento. After rescheduling and flying back to Sacramento again, Elizabeth notified use just 3 hours before our tasting they'd canceled our appointment because they were no longer able to accommodate us! What? We were just emailing her the days before finalizing our selections for the tasting! No explanation, no further contact!

HOW COULD YOU TRUST THEM WITH YOU SPECIAL DAY? DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
