Ryan and Rach were perfect for our mountain wedding They were quick to respond to inquiries. We met in person a couple times before the wedding which was helpful in creating a perfect timeline and as well as making sure we captured our must have photos. They are so nice and made taking photos so easy. Everyone felt comfortable and they captured the day beautifully. We are so happy with our photos and would highly recommend them! -

Hiring Ryan & Rach was another one of our favorite choices for our September 2023 wedding in the Outer Banks! We met them at the OBXWA Expo, and instantly felt so cared for in our decision. They’re funny, incredibly knowledgable about the area, are so easy to work with and are so much fun. We felt so comfortable with them at our engagement session. They explained how they wanted us to pose so easily, and we weren’t nervous at all! The pics from that evening were incredible, and the same is true for what we’ve seen from our sneak peak pics from our wedding! Day of, they were prompt and prepared, getting all sorts of detail shots and they made me feel so comfortable on the biggest day of my life! They handled our family photos with grace and ease, and I am so thankful for who they both are! Highly recommend! Their photos speak for themselves, but the people behind the lenses are for sure who you want to spend your day with! Love them!!!! -

All I have to say is WOW!!! Ryan and Rachel are the most genuine people I have ever met. Not only is their work exceptional but they are such a fun couple to be around. My bridesmaids and I had so much fun shooting with them!! They made it fun for us and their dynamic is amazing. They keep it professional while also having fun. I am so excited to see their work!! My husband even commented on how fun Ryan was when the groomsmen were getting ready and they had a blast. I highly recommend them and I know you will not be disappointed! -

Fantastic!
We had a very small, intimate wedding at the beach. Ryan and Rachel were so professional and easy to work with! They provided suggestions and made sure the day was captured perfectly. We liked that there were two photographers to capture different angles as well. They took the time to get to know us and figure out what we envisioned for our photos. I would highly recommend hiring Ryan and Rach for any event! -

Ryan and Rachel truly went above and beyond to provide us with unforgettable memories from such an amazing day. They were super easy to work with and accommodated our schedule to provide the best pictures possible. We spent so long looking through portfolios from a number of different photographers and we felt that Ryan and Rach best fit the style we were looking for. One thing we specifically looked for is the use of natural effects and lighting instead of correcting everything digitally after the fact. Soon after our wedding we got so many amazing photos that are really special. I couldn't recommend Ryan and Rach enough! -

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! We met Ryan & Rach at the OBX wedding expo and instantly felt comfortable with them. They did both our engagement photos and our wedding. Both sets of photos are absolutely stunning and we’ve received so many compliments on them.
Ryan and Rach were so incredibly kind, punctual, organized and professional throughout the process. Multiple family and bridal party members commented on how organized and awesome they were. They have great connections with so many OBX vendors and worked so well with everyone.
My husband and I weren’t necessarily the most comfortable getting our picture taking but they made the process fun for us. We would absolutely recommend them to other couples! -

Absolutely fantastic!!!!
I have a sister as a photographer and that has perhaps made me the pickiest client ever. I knew exactly what style I was looking for, had very high expectations, and would accept nothing less than the highest quality photos. The photographer was quite literally my priority when it came to figuring out my budget for everything.
Ryan and Rach exceeded all of my expectations. They were incredibly understanding with my husband being in the military, were so positive throughout the entire process, answered my millions of questions, and were exceptionally kind. They met us for coffee to get to know us in addition to meeting over zoom. And the fact that they emailed me after our engagement photoshoot to make sure we made it home safe spoke volumes of their amazing character.
During my wedding day, they were so much fun to be around and yet at the same time, they seemed like they weren’t even there. During all the important moments, they were invisible and yet captured everything perfectly. I literally had a guest ask why I didn’t hire a photographer because they never saw them.
And of course, most importantly, their photos and edits are amazing. They send an enormous amount of photos that no other photographer would do. Their quality is AMAZING and they have a great eye for the perfect angles. I legitimately have never looked that good in photos before and love myself in every single photo they took, which is a miracle in itself. Talk about a confidence boost! They also send you several variations of a lot of photos. This was absolutely wonderful because my husband loves black and white photos while I don’t like them as much. Ryan and Rach gave us the best of both worlds and sent us both.
If you’re debating whether or not to hire them, do it. They are so worth it. -

The Best Photographers Ever!
It is impossible to say enough good things about Ryan and Rach-we feel so incredibly lucky to have had them photograph our special day! First they did an amazing engagement shoot in Charlottesville (traveling to our area after original plans in Duck were rained out) and the spots they selected were stunning. The photos of our wedding were phenomenal and capture the emotions of the day so well- and something I didn't think still shots would be able to do. Ryan and Rach are also efficient and got our photos done quickly to get us to our reception! The weather was challenging with some very high speed winds, but you would never have known it based on the gorgeous photos. They are also just frankly awesome people and I really felt like I had friends hanging out with me on my wedding day. You can not do better than this team for your big day! -

The most amazing photographers! Not only are they incredibly talented they are also so much fun to work with. Every-time we check our wedding gallery I find another photo I love even more. They captured every moment and emotion and we are so thankful we had them for our special day!

Amazing photographer!
Ryan traveled to our beach house on a Tuesday for our small wedding and he was absolutely amazing! He was super friendly and knew exactly how to make all of my family and friends feel so comfortable during our session! My husband does not like getting pictures taken and he even raves about how comfortable Ryan made him feel, even when taking pictures of just him. We highly recommend Ryan & Rach Photography to anyone looking for a high quality photographer! We will definitely be hiring them again for our family beach pictures in the future! -

AMAZING Photographers!!
Ryan and Rach are hands down the best photographers out there! They are so skilled at what they do and they know exactly where, when, and how to capture the best photo possible. Their creativity is out of this world, their work speaks for itself! They make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. They are such a sweet and down to earth couple and are so fun to talk to and work with. We postponed our wedding due to Covid, and they were so flexible (and very reassuring) in planning our next date with us. On the actual day, it was very windy on the Kitty Hawk Pier. They worked with the weather and even took us to the sound side for sunset pics (they were some of our favorite ones!) 10/10 recommend and we can’t wait to plan the next photoshoot with these two. -

The BEST photographers!
I can’t begin to say how much I enjoyed working with this amazing couple. They not only are wonderful photographers but also helped me immensely with my planning. They had so many wonderful local suggestions (as an out of state bride too)! Basically, they suggested all my vendors and I couldn’t have been more thrilled!
I can not begin to explain the effort and dedication they showed on the day of and delivered! I have so many STUNNING photographs to remember our day.
I really can’t say enough about these two! If you are looking for a dependable, caring, and extremely talented photographers you would be amiss not to use Ryan and Rachel! -

Could not have been happier!
Ryan and Rachel were SO great to work with! They hopped in last minute for our wedding (our photographer has to get surgery) and it felt like we've known them for years. So friendly and easy going. I usually hate having my photo taken but they made it so relaxing and fun. Their work is SO beautiful! I grew up around photography so I am pretty critical when it comes to choosing photographers and they were above and beyond my expectations! I cannot recommend them enough!! Hope to work with them again sometime -

I could write a thesis on this perfect duo, and why they are the absolute best! Ryan and Rach have a way of making you feel so comfortable in front of their cameras, that you are left with the most stunning, natural and gorgeous photos. They were beyond accommodating, they are fun to work with, and they show that they care about you, your photos, and your entire day. They want your day to be as special for you, as you do. Their work is absolutely stunning, the pictures truly speak for themselves. Their creativity is unbelievable, their ideas, their knowledge, they always had us in perfect light with the most romantic yet natural poses. Capturing all the candid moments in between as well. What you can’t see, is how incredible their hearts are. My wedding day brought in alot of wind with a side of rain all day long. Of course I was beside myself as this made sunset beach pictures impossible. Rach calmed me down, knowing me for 15 minutes, but felt like I had known her forever. She and Ryan went above and beyond and insisted they come back on a day later in the week, as well, to get those sunset pictures I was dreaming of. We feel so incredibly blessed to have found the most talented and compassionate couple to capture our special day. We will never use another photographer team, we look forward to all the future sessions with them as we continue to grow our family! Ryan & Rach, thank you 1000x over. Our day was what it was, because of you! -

Ryan and Rach are phenomenal. True professionals, easy going, and uber-talented!
The late morning/early afternoon of our wedding day, Rach spent her time primarily with the ladies and Ryan hung out with the fellas for a few hours. During the actual event, they were EVERYWHERE!
It was almost like there were eight of them...seriously!
They were so accommodating and patient with everyone, and everything, at all times.
It seemed as though they were always in the perfect position to capture each and every little detail - to include candid shots we would’ve never thought of. We can’t wait to see their work. Choose Ryan and Rach...you will not regret it!!! -

We absolutely adored working with Ryan and Rachel. They are the perfect combination of professional and fun. My husband and I knew within a few minutes of talking on the phone during our interview that we wanted to hire them. They have great personalities, and their senses of humor meshed well with ours. On the day before the ceremony, they stopped by the venue/cottage to get some ideas about shots for the next day. You could tell how confident they were in their skills as they formulated ideas for the shots around the property. The next day, before, during, and after the ceremony, they were outstanding. During formal photos with our families and the wedding party, they got everyone in place without being pushy or abrasive. They laughed along with us, and kept things moving. We even did some exciting drone photos down on the beach! We highly recommend hiring Ryan and Rach Photography. In fact, a guest at our wedding has already indicated that she plans on hiring them next year for her wedding. Thank you, Ryan and Rachel! -

Rollin and I never had professional photos taken before, and you guys made us feel like models throughout our wedding day!! (when we aren’t even really big picture takers, lol). We would re-hire you guys for any photography needs again in future, and travel the 12hrs to you just to re-live that experience again. What an amazing duo team and power couple you guys are, on top of amazing photographers!! Also a total bonus we now get to share the same wedding anniversary date, which couldn’t be with a sweeter couple!! My husband and I are so particular when it comes to photography and feel so lucky to have come across Ryan and Rach to provide us with so many beautiful memories of our day. They were willing to take photos that were special to us and our families in addition to the gorgeous candids and other artistic shots throughout the day. Our most favorite part of the day was our sunset session... not only did we get to sneak away together for a little bit, but these photos are simply GORGEOUS!
We also did an engagement shoot with them in Brooklyn, NY... after having to reschedule our initial appointment in our hometown of Alexandria, Virgina due to my getting stuck on jury duty. Their flexibility and making sure we were able to meet them and have a session prior to our wedding day was incredible. The photos from that day are unreal - we had so much fun!
Really. Stop looking any further and book Ryan and Rach! Can't say enough about their amazing skills and personalities. Simply the best :) -

Hope Sent on 08/23/2018YALL. Ryan and Rachel are seriously the freakin bomb!!!! They were so easy to work with and so much fun. I was supposed to do a bridal shoot but living far away we had to reschedule so many times and they were so understanding and flexible. When we ended up having to cancel they let us do a fun shoot just me and my husband after the wedding which was SO FUN. They shot my wedding May 18th and everything was perfect. They got so many incredible shots and worked so well with my husband and I as well as our (HUGE) family to make things go smoothly and the photos are absolutely to die for. They are THE BEST!!!! I loved every second of working with this wonderful sweet couple. And the pictures are seriously to die for. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

They were willing to work with me to create a package that fit our day! When our wedding day came, they played off of each other so well, each adding their own vision and unique touch, and the results were amazing! They were so easy to work with, kind, funny and open to ideas from my husband and I as well, which I loved! Being from New York, their familiarity with the OBX and great locations for photos was so helpful! This husband and wife team is so incredibly talented and I would hands down recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing team of photographers!!

They work flawlessly as a team and Ryan was fantastic during our wedding! Everything was on time and he captured all of the best moments perfectly. We had a super windy day and he even jumped a railing to get my veil back for me! The photos really were perfect, especially the beach sunset ones he made sure to sneak us out to take. They are very professional and were so easy to work with. You won’t be sorry choosing them for your wedding day or other special event!

We had a storm so I wasn't able to see all the tables set up and outdoor games but they had come early and taken all those pictures before the storm and I was able to see the set up. Their commitment to using natural light really drew us in as we were going for the "all natural" boho feel. It didn't feel right to use anyone else! Their ability to bring out the natural beauty of our family and the natural environment around us was exactly what we wanted and needed. We did an engagement shoot last fall where they immediately made us feel comfortable and got all of our photo jitters out. On the day of our wedding, they crafted a perfect timeline to make use of the pre-ceremony time to get all of the portraits done, and we still had time to spare. They even looked up the star chart on the night of our wedding, realized that the Milky Way was going to be directly over our venue, and snuck us out for a photo shoot under the stars. The results were breathtaking! All of our family and friends remarked on how Ryan and Rach were fun and easy to work with. We loved working with two photographers who share such a strong bond, and these two are the most dynamic duo. -

They had a very affordable price for the quality of their work and their photographs turned out amazingly. Ryan and Rach were very responsive and were flexible with their package (we requested an extra hour or two of photography on the day of in lieu of an engagement session). We felt Ryan and Rach were extremely prepared the day of and they even discussed our extensive photo wish list with a large and divorced family, which made us feel 100% confident with the logistics. Rachel was super sweet the day of and made me feel calm and Ryan got along great with the guys in the wedding party. My groom loved how efficient they were pre-ceremony with the groomsmen photos. We did not even see them taking pictures during the ceremony and they captured numerous close ups! We loved their detail oriented and artistic photos and have had multiple comments from friends and family raving about the wedding photos. They totally know what to do to get the best shots. You definitely can't go wrong with Ryan & Rach! -

Samantha Sent on 06/08/2016My husband and I got married on 5.22.16 at the Sea Ranch Resort, We had visited the wedding expo in January '15 and got to meet the amazing duo that is Ryan & Rachel! They are so sweet and go above and beyond for their clients! They came to Richmond, VA in May '15 to do our engagement pictures as well and they turned out amazing! They were both very responsive in all our email, phone, or text exchanges, and when we met with them in April of this year they were such a big help when it came down to helping me through last minute freak outs as it got closer to the big day. I can't say enough how amazing they are as husband and wife team as well as amazing photographers! I had some ideas of "key shots" I wanted to get (obviously taken from Pinterest) and they took those ideas and made them ours and they turned out better than I could have imagined! Ryan & Rachel are truly the best! Thank you so much! -
