Ruth was truly amazing and made our evening so special

Words cannot expressed how please we are with how everything turned out. Ruth made our evening so special - she told our story in the most beautiful way. There wasn’t a dry tear in the room - she made us laugh and made us cry. Our families and friends would describe the service in one word “beautiful” - to us it as so special and something we would remember forever. If we could rate 1-10, we’d give it a 20 - we were just so pleased and happy with how everything went anti was all thanks to Ruth. Thank you for everything and helping make our day special.

Ruth is absolutely wonderful!

Ruth is so great! She so efficient and easy to work with. I feel like we only have to have few phone calls during the entire planning process which was a huge weight off my shoulders. Highly Recommend for a Personalized Ceremony

My husband and I highly recommend Ruth Ellen Hasser. She did an amazing job officiating our ceremony – in fact, many of our guests said it was the best ceremony they’ve attended. Why? Because Ruth helped us personalize every aspect of it. We met with her a few times and answered questions about us and our relationship. We asked a lot of questions of our own and asked for suggestions, and she was happy to help. Ruth let us a review (and edit) a draft of the ceremony and on the day of our wedding, the short ceremony was perfect for us.

Great experience and very responsive

Ruth was awesome during the whole process. Very thoughtful and experienced. Ruth was easy to work with and willing to work with our crazy schedules for zoom meetings and that was a blessing because we live in another state. She gave us so many examples to choose from and was very open to customization. Overall the planning process went a lot smoother due to her experience.

Ruth was fantastic for us! She was able to provide the cermony of our dreams and was able to tell our story to everyone in attandance in a beautful, heartfelt manner. She kept it light, funny but most importantly, romantic and special. We had so many friends and family members come up to us afterwards and said how special and well done the cermony was. Ruth is the best of the best when it comes to wedding officiants!

After hearing Ruth speak at our ceremony, it's kind of hard to believe that she didn't know us prior to our wedding. She explained the story of us so well, it's like she was present for it! She captured every detail of our history and story! Ruth is such a kind and caring soul. She is extremely accommodating, responsive, and helpful. She helped provide us with tips and formats so that our ceremony was everything that we wanted it to be and ran as smooth as it could have ever gone. We are so happy that we booked with Ruth for our special day!

Wonderful experience

Ruth was wonderful to work with! She created an amazing draft of our ceremony and worked with us to get it into its final shape. She did a great job wrangling people and giving out instructions at our rehearsal. And on the day of, she did a fantastic job! We absolutely recommend her! And wish we could give more than 5 stars!

Wonderful!

Ruth is Amazing!

Ruth was amazing! She gave us ideas and took all of our ideas and desires into account. We got married in October 2020 and she was able to accommodate doing a COVID wedding out in the park. She is also very nice and friendly. Talking with her is like talking to a friend. She puts you at ease and makes what could be a very stressful time a lot less stressful. Hire her!

Great leadership and a calming presence.

Ruth Ellen Hasser was a pleasure to work with. She helped us plan the ceremony details of our small, intimate ceremony. We communicated often via email in the weeks before our wedding. She walked us through different options and offered loads of suggestions for our vows and ceremony. Our small gathered group all remarked how special our service was. We were so nervous, but after Ruth’s help, we had the perfect ceremony for us and it all went very smoothly. We highly recommend her!

Perfect ceremony

A friend recommended Ruth to us for our wedding celebrant and she couldn't have been better. Ruth did a custom, non religious ceremony for us. It was super personal and we really loved it. We got tons of compliments on how it was the best ceremony due it how personal and funny it was! Ruth is a really sweet person and knows what she is doing. We highly recommend her!

Ruth was the perfect celebrant for our Wedding!

Ruth is amazing!!! She was the perfect celebrant for our wedding ceremony. We explained that we wanted a mostly non-religious ceremony but didn't have a good idea of exactly what we were looking for, having both grown up in religious families. Ruth helped us to create a ceremony that was very special and meaningful to us. During the planning process she was extremely helpful and responded quickly to our emails. She was also great during the ceremony. We were both a little nervous but Rush is very down to earth and guided us through it. She is one of the nicest people we've met and we can't imagine having a better celebrant!!

Perfect match for us

From our first meeting with Ruth we could tell she was the right one to marry us. She had such a reverence for our relationship and truly wanted to understand who we were as people and as a couple.
Our ceremony was perfection. It was soulful and joyful, and really felt like it belonged to us. We didn’t feel like we were going through the motions or participating in a ritual. It was truly unique, and that was exactly what we wanted. Ruth has a great tenderness and a sense of humor that will immediately make you feel you are in the company of a friend. We felt totally at ease. We are so grateful to have met Ruth, and to have shared this special day with her.

Ruth took all of our stress away when it came to the ceremony

Ruth was fantastic! She made everything so easy and simple for me. We didn’t even have a rehearsal and the ceremony went perfectly! She made my husband and I so comfortable before and during the ceremony. Would definitely recommend! Wonderful celebrant

We had some last minute changes that left us without an officiant only a month before our wedding, but luckily we found Ruth! She was wonderful, an excellent speaker and a very attentive planner. She took care of everything and provided samples to us for readings and different unity rituals and traditions. Our traditional handfasting ceremony was wonderful and afterwards we got lots of compliments on the readings and wording of the ceremony that stuck with our guests. I will recommend her to anyone I know getting married!

"Where did you find her? She was Amazing!"

I cannot say enough good things about out experience with Ruth! We wanted something simple and sweet and she made our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be. Working with her before hand was so easy and on the day of in the middle of the whirlwind, she was a calm, kind voice that was there to remind us that the day was about us and our beginning our lives together. Both our families wanted to know how we found her because they were so impressed. Having Ruth perform our ceremony was one of the best decisions we made with our wedding.

Ruth was nothing but fantastic from the time we first sat down with her to the day of the wedding. She is a thorough individual who took the time to get to know us as a couple and helped us develop a ceremony to fit our specific wants and needs for the wedding. Ruth captured the essence of our relationship

Ruth did an amazing job officiating our wedding. She was considerate of asking about our beliefs and wants and walked us through what we needed to do to get our marriage liscence. The ceremony that she wrote brought smiles to everyone's faces. She really managed to perfectly capture the love and humor in our relationship. It was a pleasure working with Ruth from the first Skype meeting to the final moment, our wedding. There was a lot of communication along the way. Ruth asked us each to fill out a questionnaire which was used to create the very personal story she told during our ceremony. If there was an option to give more than 5 stars I would. Thanks to Ruth I feel that our ceremony was more genuine and personal than some of the other weddings I have recently attended. Not that there is anything wrong with a traditional scripted ceremony. Thanks again Ruth for making our ceremony, the most important part of the day, so special. Now stop reading the reviews and just give Ruth a call because she is AMAZING! :)

Ruth was absolutely amazing! The very first meeting with her we instantly clicked! She was so kind and very professional! It was amazing how just by answering a few questions for her how she managed to write such an amazing and beautiful set of vows for us! It was like she had known me and my husband for years! Ruth was wonderful! My wife and I had just had a very large ceremonial wedding in Vietnam, so we just wanted something short (and very affordable) to make it official. Even though we purchased the lowest-priced service Ruth offers, she still took her time and really made it special. I'm very pleased with our decision!

We can't say enough good things about Ruth. She was the most attentive of any of our vendors and really listened to us as we worked with her to create our perfect wedding ceremony. Ruth was super easy to communicate with and work with to create our ceremony! She listened to what we wanted and created a ceremony that was personal and we will never forget it. I highly recommend using Ruth as your wedding officiant! We booked her based on positive reviews & we could not have been happier with our decision! I cannot say enough positive things about Ruth. She was really a joy to work with and she really helped keep us calm on our wedding day when the jitters and the emotions of the day started to overtake us. Ruth really takes the time to sit down with couples and find out what they're looking for in a wedding ceremony. You can have as much or as little input as you like in forming your ceremony and she makes sure everything comes together so well. She even took charge of making sure the readings were available for our readers and mailed in our official marriage certificate for us after the ceremony so we would have one less thing to worry about. My fiance actually saw her officiate over a co-worker's son's wedding and knew immediately that he wanted her to marry us and I am so glad that we booked our wedding with her.

We had a lovely experience working with Ruth for our December wedding! My husband and I were married on our (future) front porch with our children and our families in a small intimate wedding. At our first meeting, I felt that Ruth understood what was most important to us, and helped us create a ceremony that was meaningful yet lighthearted, and that really fit our personalities. I felt this was so important: this was our second marriage and we were about to blend families, and wanted everyone to feel included–this wasn't just about "us" this time! Ruth was honestly the best person we could have imagined as an officiant for our wedding. She was always quick to respond to our questions and concerns, gave us detailed and frequent updates about our ceremony, and was extremely kind and respectful and professional throughout the entire process. We were so excited after our first meeting with Ruth. We had finally found the perfect officiant! She was very nice, and flexible with what we wanted in our ceremony. She did not push her ideas onto us, but offered suggestions of what she though would make the most sense for us. We didn't even have to go home and talk about wanting to use her, it was a done deal. During our whole planning process, she followed up with us often, and sent helpful reminders about due dates and getting the marriage license.

On the day of the wedding, Ruth was even better! During the ceremony she made sure we felt comfortable and knew what was coming next. She offered words of encouragement like, "here come the vows, don't be nervous just repeat after me!" My husband was very appreciative of that. None of the guests even knew she was doing it!

We were so nervous about finding an officiant outside of our church (we got married outside so we couldn't use a priest). Ruth turned out to be a perfect alternative. She was also very prompt in sending in our marriage license so that I could change my name when we returned from our honeymoon!

Ruth guided us through the entire process of crafting our wonderful wedding ceremony. She made it clear that we could incorporate whichever elements were meaningful to us into our ceremony, and that it would totally reflect our preferences. She was very helpful with offering us material to look through to help us design the wedding ceremony we had always dreamed of.

We had six months to plan and our ceremony script was pretty well finalized four months before our wedding day, so it was one thing that was never a worry. Ruth's friendliness and professionalism set the perfect tone for our ceremony and all of our guests commented that she was the perfect Celebrant for us. Thank you, Ruth! You certainly were instrumental in making our ceremony exactly as we had hoped it would be and our day stress-free and fun!

After reading many excellent reviews we decided to contact Ruth to see if she would be available to officiate our wedding. Our wedding was two weeks away and by some small miracle she was available. Though we had a limited amount of time to get to know one another, Ruth made every effort to cover as much ground as possible before our big day. Our ceremony was both meaningful and memorable. Ruth officiated our wedding and we loved her! She helped us put together a personalized ceremony so that both of our personalities could shine through. Some guests even commented that they felt like it truly embodied our relationship. We weren't sure what to do for our ceremony because we come from a multi-faith background so Ruth gave us lots of options to help make everyone feel included. Not only was she extremely professional through the whole process, we could tell she was passionate about what she does. We had lots of hiccups on our big day with venues, but Ruth was very helpful and accommodating through it all. If we had to go back and change anything about our big day Ruth would be the one thing we kept the same.

Ruth was an amazing officiant for our Spring wedding! She was professional, listened to what we wanted for the ceremony, was very organized, provided good suggestions and all around great during the planning process. She also arranged to discuss the ceremony over Skype since we were an out of town couple. During the ceremony itself, she spoke very well, had a good sense of humor when the groom misspoke his vows and was great at calming my nerves as I was struggling to get through my vows. Ruth Ellen Hasser was the officiant for our May wedding, and both my husband and I couldn't be happier with how our ceremony turned out. We live in Brooklyn but married in St. Louis, and we found her to be very flexible and patient with long-distance planning. She walked us through every step of the way. We wanted a high level of customization for our ceremony, and we feel we achieved that—we picked all the readings, and Ruth gave us lots of great tips for writing our own vows. Ruth Ellen Hasser was absolutely sensational, she provided even more than expected. Ruth is very calm and well spoken. She understood exactly what kind of ceremony we wanted to have, and executed it perfectly. Many of our guests commented on how engaging Ruth was, she told the story of how we met and fell in love and completely captured all of our guests attention. Ruth was also comforting to have marry us, she was happy to let us take a moment and breath every so often during our vows. We were married in the Missouri Botanical Gardens, and Ruth already knew the sound doesn't carry well there so the took it upon herself to bring her own microphone, this really impressed me, because i wanted all our guests to be able to hear the ceremony. Something else that proves Ms. Hasser goes above and beyond was the fact that she was willing to step to the side when we were announced husband and wife so she wouldn't be in the background of our photos. She's so incredibly thoughtful!

We can not say enough nice things about Ruth. She is incredible and we are so lucky to have worked with her on our wedding ceremony. From the moment we met Ruth, we were at ease and knew that she was the person we wanted as our wedding officiant. She is extremely inclusive of all of our ideas, offered suggestions when we asked, and wrote a beautiful ceremony for us. Ruth was great to work with through the entire process.

During the ceremony, she made us feel at ease, filled the ceremony with emotion, and had a great relationship with our entire wedding party. After the ceremony, so many of our guests wanted to meet her because the ceremony was that good! We got rave reviews from our guests about how beautiful and personal the ceremony was, and we contribute that to Ruth. She takes the time to really get to know both people and to make sure that their history, interests, etc. are a part of the ceremony. I'm so glad that we chose to go with her rather than a more traditional "cookie cutter" ceremony where we just insert our names.

My new wife and I are so thrilled we found Ruth and chose her to officiate our wedding! She is extremely easy to work with, whether your ceremony is standard or unique. She has a wealth of source material she can provide you if you're looking for special touches, enhancements, and readings. Always available via email for any questions, and delivered a script of our wedding with plenty of time for us to review and approve. Of course, we didn't need any changes to the script, because it was exactly what we had asked for. At the ceremony, Ruth is extremely calming for the bride and groom (she also attends the rehearsal and can help you prepare) and helpful with filing the marriage license. Ruth Ellen was marvelous. She really associated with us and our guests very well. She was personable and professional simultaneously. I could not think of a more appropriate person for our ceremony.

Ruth Ellen Hasser performed our ceremony and she was fantastic! Neither one of us is religious, but we still wanted a meaningful, sentimental ceremony. She helped us write the ceremony and gave us suggestions for readings, vows, and other accents that would make our day special. She was 100% flexible and would have modified the ceremony any way we liked. Best of all, she was great at helping us through the ceremony on the day, because I was a nervous wreck! Our wedding was amazingly beautiful - thank you St. Louis Ceremonies!

Ruth was very professional and courteous! She really listened to feedback I had and made adjustments with no hesitation. I had multiple people come up to me informing me that she was on the best officiants they have seen.

Ruth is such an amazing person to work with- we feel so lucky that she was the celebrant for our wedding ceremony. My husband and I planned our wedding from out of town and were very concerned about finding an officiant who could capture our personalities, spirituality and love for each other in a ceremony despite never meeting in person before the big day. Ruth allowed us to have total control over the ceremony script- we were able to tell "our story", create unique vows and readings, and include family members in nontraditional ways to make the ceremony special and meaningful. Many guests came through the receiving line with tears in their eyes, saying that it was one of the most beautiful and special services they've ever attended. Ruth is humble and tried to give us the credit for writing the script, but in truth it was her delivery and remarks that made everything so lovely. During the ceremony Ruth paused briefly between readings and recitations to quietly ask my husband and I how we were were doing- did we need to wipe away a tear, take a deep breath, etc. It was so wonderful to have those quick moments during the ceremony to make sure that we felt good with the service and also to help us appreciate the memories we were creating.

Ruth was absolutely perfect. My husband and I were able to meet with her before the wedding to talk about how we wanted our ceremony and what we would like to include, how religious we wanted the ceremony to be and the coordination of different people who would be in our wedding. She sent us many sample vows and readings, so that we did not have to go searching on the internet by ourselves, which was a huge help. She was a totally calm, professional and warm presence through the whole wedding process. I could not have hoped to have a better officiant for our wedding!

Our ceremony was just beautiful and Ruth was highly communicative and open every step of the way. She displayed outstanding flexibility with planning and was thoroughly professional when we let her know that, due to circumstances outside of our control, the ceremony had to pushed back half an hour. Everyone that attended the ceremony has specifically mentioned what a good job she did, and how the ceremony so perfectly matched our personalities. She was extremely thorough and made sure well beforehand that we were getting the ceremony we wanted--she had lots of ideas and suggestions for non-typical readings--and made a point of honoring the guests who had traveled very far to help make the day special. She also did a great job of staying calm and being a calming presence as both of us were overwhelmed with excitement up in front of the crowd. We are truly grateful for Ruth's involvement with our ceremony.
