I have had the privilege to work with Carlee on not one, but two weddings.The first a summer elopement in 2020, the second a full wedding this past December. Though no one expects to get divorced, I was so happy to have a reason to work with her again! I was given a few floral vendor suggestions for wedding #2, and I was adamant that she was the only florist I was considering. I would be lying if I said I didn’t spend a lot of time on her Instagram lusting over her work over the years. Carlee brings equal parts creativity and class to all her floral designs. I think my favorite part about working with her was that she took inspiration from the mood board from our wedding planner and was able to create works of art! For example, we wanted “cozy, warm, elevated Christmas”, and she was able to design the most perfect pieces from the arch installation to the boutonnieres–and she set a lot of it up in an active snow storm! Florals can be one of those things you think you’ll just “do yourself”, but why do that when you could experience a true master of their craft at work? In my opinion after having planned two weddings, Carlee is the BEST there is!

Carlee made my wedding feel like a fairytale! My wedding vision was very floral heavy but I was still working within a budget. But when I saw the floral arrangements she made for my ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour, they were even larger and more beautiful than I had expected they'd be! Carlee also collaborated with my cake baker to create a floral meadow around the cake that would match the sugar flowers that were on the cake, which I thought was so cool and thoughtful. At my request, she also discretely disassembled some of the ceremony arrangements at the end of the night so that guests could go home with a bouquet of flowers! Carlee was a joy to work with and she is so talented at what she does! You will not regret hiring her for your event! -

Hiring Goldenrod was the best decision for our special day. Their floras exceeded our expectations. Carlee was always prompt in answering any questions we had and when I decided to change our color pallet a few months before the wedding, she was happy to pivot and help me come up with a new plan. I had my bridesmaids pick up the florals in Seattle on our way to the mountains and everything was packaged thoughtfully and carefully. It was super easy for us to attach the arrangement to our arch and all flowers stayed in perfect condition for the 24 hours between pick up and wedding time. Aside from marrying my best friend in the mountains, my bouquet is my favorite memory of this day. The bright beautiful colors made our photos pop. Hire Carlee and her Goldenrod team!! -

Carlee was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator and I knew immediately she was the florist for us. With a sweet soul and true passion for florals, Carlee ensured my vision was realized. She personally delivered my bouquets and I don't think I was fully prepared for how stunning they would be. The colors, the types of flowers I requested, and the care she put into building each arrangement was stunning. Our ceremony backdrop was unbelievably gorgeous and our table scapes were perfection. Flawless Fall Florals
All you have to do is look at Carlee’s portfolio and you know that she makes weddings beautiful, but when we got to our own wedding venue it exceeded any expectations we had! Our wedding colors were purple and orange, and Carlee made it WORK and created an autumn wonderland that left us saying wow all day. We were able to work closely with Carlee to make sure we were getting what we wanted and she even did her best to make the wedding eco friendly and sustainable and locally sourced like we asked. With the bride’s grandma being a master gardener, flowers and greenery were a top priority for us, and Carlee’s work even had Nana in awe. Everything looked perfect and we would recommend Goldenrod Floral to everyone in the Seattle area (and beyond)! Thank you for helping to create the wedding of our dreams! - Jeremy & Laura

I had been following Carlee on instagram for a while before I even got engaged- then when we decided to elope in Washington I KNEW I wanted her to do my florals. I have been in love with her work forever!!
Carlee did an incredible job and was absolutely amazing to work with. She had great communication throughout the process leading up to our wedding day. She asked lots of questions to get clear vision of what I wanted, and she knocked it out of the park. She made me the wildflower bouquet of my dreams, and I don’t think I’ll ever get over how much I loved it.

We hired Carlee with Goldenrod Floral Design for our wedding, and I am SO glad we did! She is a phenomenal florist. Truly it is her gift. Our florals were perfect, from my bridal bouquet to our centerpieces and arbor, it was everything I imagined and more. Carlee is so friendly and personable, and I had a great time working with her. After meeting with her and describing my vision, I felt like she really understood what I wanted. She is an artist when it comes to florals. I cried tears of happiness when she delivered my bouquet to our hotel and couldn’t stop staring at our beautiful head table during dinner. 10/10. -

Our florals were definitely one of the HIGHLIGHTS of our wedding! All of our guests commented on how absolutely stunning our florals were.
On top of that, Carlee was so amazing to work with. From the beginning, she ensured that she fully understood our vision so that we could have the wedding of our dreams. She even joined us at our venue to walk through the plan for our florals, making sure everything was perfect.

Nothing but raves across the board for Carlee!
We had a really tough time planning even a tiny wedding mid-pandemic, but Carlee was a dream to work with and put us so at ease. From our very first conversation she was kind, positive, and professional in every interaction–we trusted her completely, communication was easy, and her design process was just right for us. She built on our vision for flowers in the most beautiful way, incorporating our favorite botanicals, special requests, and creative surprises (who knew quinoa could be SO PRETTY in a floral arrangement?!) and they turned out even more joyful and expressive than I could have imagined! I will never, ever forget seeing our ceremony florals for the first time. When we first started wedding planning, we weren't sure we were going to prioritize flowers, but after working with Carlee I'm so glad we did; they ended up being a magical part of our day. -

We had a backyard wedding in summer 2021 but we still wanted it to feel a bit glam. Carlee was very understanding of our budget, and gently let us know when we had unrealistic expectations (ie: flowers that aren’t in season). I cannot say just how amazing Carlee is, because there just aren't the right words. We had Carlee design our wedding florals, and they were an absolute dream. She is the sweetest, most genuine person, and working with her was easy from start to finish. From the first time I spoke with her, I felt completely confident that she understood my vision and was going to take it and run with it. ....And did she ever! When we had our florals picked up the day before our wedding, I was speechless. Even though my husband and I opted for an intimate "just us" small-scale wedding (with no guests), Carlee put just as much care and love and detail into our flowers as if it were a big huge elaborate wedding. My bouquet was just the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. I wish flowers lasted forever, bc I would have carried that baby everywhere I go for the rest of my life. She also put together the most precious garland for the back of our car, and the photos speak for themselves. She also arranged multiple centerpieces for our dinner table, and they were stunning. Carlee was on top of everything, organized, and never gave me any cause to worry. Pickup & rental return was a piece of cake. I cannot imagine that anyone anywhere could have done a more perfect job with our wedding florals. Seriously, Carlee is mad talented. I could go on and on.... but just check out these photos. There is no one who compares to Carlee. For 2 years (Covid wedding) she continued to work with me to give me the wedding of my dreams. My vision was something unique and different and she completely brought it to life. I relied on her through so much of the process and couldn’t have done it without her. Carlee was tied in first place along with our wedding designer as our favorite and most impactful vendor we hired. She went above and beyond - spending extra time to help us define our style (as Covid had us planning and replanning our event). She encouraged us to think outside of the box and trust her with using bright, fun colors and vases, as well as unique ideas that would stretch our budget the farthest. Carlee is AMAZING!!! I was so excited when I was able to secure her for my wedding. She is able to create gorgeous arrangements that are the essence of your style! Carlee was super flexible, with TWO postponements due to Covid and tons of changes to everything. I loved all the bouquets and table arrangements, it fit our vibe perfectly. I get tons of compliments of the flowers when I show people the pictures. As painful as planning a wedding during Covid was I felt supported and listened to by Carlee - not just for flowers but everything in general. -

Creative floral genius!!
I had a vision that I wanted the flowers at my wedding to look and feel like they came out of a garden. I showed her one inspo pic and told her the colors I wanted and she took it from there...I didn't give her much direction but I could tell she saw my vision and she delivered!!!! The flowers at my wedding were stunning and I cannot stress enough how kind, creative and fun Carlee was to work with. 2020 was a crazy year to get married and Carlee was beyond responsive, understanding and flexible which was SO appreciated. Carlee is SO talented. She can create any style, any vibe, anything your heart desires. At first I was so invested in exactly what my florals would look like, down to the very last little detail (Carlee was always gracious, open, and listened!) but after taking a deep breath I realized I needed to let Carlee be the artist she is and create her magic. And oh boy did she not disappoint. She listened to exactly what I had wanted from the very beginning and then elevated it to look even more gorgeous than I could have imagined. The florals highlighted the wispy, beachy and enchanted vibe we were looking for, while also magically matched my dress along with the entire atmosphere around us. Carlee is so creative, she makes such unique and beautiful pieces that differ from any other floral arrangements I’ve ever seen. Out of 5 stars...I would give Carlee 6! She is so creative, professional, and very responsive. Trying to plan an elopement when you live 2,500 miles away can be stressful but adding covid was the cherry on top. I never once stressed about my flowers because Carlee was communicating with me through the whole process. I showed her a picture of a bouquet that I really liked and she gave me something EVEN BETTER. She has a gift for creating! Thank you Carlee!

Flowers were one of the most important aspects of our wedding day, so I spent a long time (even before I was engaged!) keeping an eye out for the right person. I fell in love with Carlee's work and emailed her literally the day we got engaged because I was so excited to work with her. To say that she delivered above and beyond our expectations is an understatement. Right from the beginning, she totally understood my vision and was so patient with me as I debated vase choice, boutonniere count, etc. She created my absolute DREAM bouquet and table decor. I had so many people tell me at the wedding—and after—that the flower arrangements were the most beautiful they had ever seen. I truly cannot say enough how talented, kind, creative and lovely Carlee is! I wish we could have another wedding just so we could hire her to do the flowers again. :) -

Even better than what we imagined!
As a couple living in Tampa, FL planning an elopement in the Seattle, WA area, we knew that we wanted the best of the best when it came to vendors. For that reason, Rusted Vase Co was our obvious choice for wedding florals. I initially fell in love with Carlee’s work via Instagram, and I was so glad to be able to actually work with her! Since we were planning our day from so far away, we decided to simply give our vendors a general vision for our decor/vibe and just let them do their thing. When I saw my bouquet for the first time alongside our altar arrangements and table arrangements, I was in awe! It was so much more beautiful than we even imagined. Stunning Floral Work!!
I loved working with Carlee at Rusted Vase Co! I was absolutely in love and obsessed with all of the bouquets and the center pieces she created. She did 18 center pieces and 7 bouquets for us. Carlee was kind and easy to talk with, and she incorporated so many different elements (colors, scent, texture, greenery) into the arrangements. I basically showed her some pictures of what I liked, but told her to just run with it as she's the artist. I totally trusted her to come up with something beautiful based on my scattered ideas. What we ended up with was absolutely beautiful, and the perfect pop of color to brighten our day. Everything she created was a work of art! She also locally sources her plants and uses what's available and in season, which I appreciated. I cannot say enough great things about Carlee & Rusted Vase Co and would recommend her to anyone! -

AMAZING! I got in touch with Carlee when I was in a pinch (literally 1 month before our wedding--highly recommend booking her much further in advance!). I had an issue with a different florist I had initially inquired with and since we were having a very intimate wedding, we were just going to end up doing the flowers on our own (yikes!). I called Carlee on a whim after stumbling upon her Instagram, hoping maybe she'd be able to help me out, but didn't want to get my hopes up. She was only able to coordinate a pick-up order, which was totally fine and understandable considering it was super last minute, but the quality of her work was incredible and she truly went above and beyond to make my last minute floral arrangements feel planned and intentional! Carlee was super kind and helpful and she has a true gift for making things look beautiful. My only regret was not finding her sooner and hiring her to come on-site the day of! -

Carlee was so professional and helpful throughout my wedding planning process. From our first meet and greet, she was warm and welcoming and helped turn a few Pinterest board ideas into the most beautiful floral designs. She worked with my budget, suggesting the most bang-for-my-buck flowers in season (Lucky me May has a lot of options) and I ended up with the most stunning, modern and minimalist bud vase center pieces.
My favorite part of working with Carlee was that she is so passionate about her craft. I gave her a few buzz words and pictures and she created me the most stunning bridal bouquet. She is really thoughtful and wildly creative - I highly recommend working with her and her team! -

We are so happy we hired Carlee to handle the flowers for our wedding!! She was incredibly easy to work with -- we started with an initial phone call where I described the vibe we were going for. She was familiar with our venue and offered a couple professional suggestions that would be more secure and more easily adjusted in case of winds or rain (which is always a concern when you get married outdoors in WA!). After that phone call, she put together a detailed proposal complete with picture examples of what we'd discussed, and then I didn't have to think about flowers again until a month before the wedding when she reached out to make sure everything was still accurate. When you're deep in the throes of wedding planning and coordinating, having vendors who are professional and self-accountable are worth their weight in gold.
And finally - the arrangements she put together were absolutely beautiful! My bouquet smelled amazing (I kept getting whiffs as we were taking pictures), and all the various arrangements were perfectly coordinated without being identical. She even went above and beyond on the table decorations -- I'd asked for garland and tea lights, and she tucked some extra flowers into the greenery for a little extra burst of color :)
In short - Carlee is incredible at what she does, and made my life easier. If I ever have another large event to plan, she'll be at the top of my list. -

My husband and I got married this past June 30th at Robinswood House in Bellevue. We can’t say enough awesome things about Carlee at Rusted Vase!!!! We first met Carlee in November to talk about the types of arrangements we were looking for. We really wanted the arrangements to have some architectural elements in which the flowers would take on a life of their own. She tailored our boutonnieres to our individual tastes, while still complementing one another. She incorporated rosemary and unripe blueberries into the arrangements, delighting everyone. We also rented a huppah stand from her. It was beautiful, made from birch, and was very stable. It added a great and unexpected element to the wedding. Carlee brought her sister as an assistant on our wedding day and they were a great team. All of the flowers were fresh were used to build centerpieces to suit each table. She was really efficient!! All of the flowers were at the peak of freshness and added a great touch of color to our home for several days after the ceremony. I would get married again just to have Carlee do the flowers. -

Couldn't have chosen a better company to work with
Carlee was an absolute dream to work with. We told her that we really only had a few flowers and ideas in mind but wanted her to let the creative freedom flow. She did that and more, we were so surprised to find that she had turned our venue into something intimate and sentimental. She made sure to keep us in the loop for the most part but I'm glad everything was still a surprise. She voiced her professional opinion on what might be best for the space and she nailed it! She is someone who can take any ingredients and make an incredible outcome. If you are comfortable with it and want someone who will take the reigns on your florals then she is the person. She is able to keep the wild and unkept nature of the world and make it something unforgettable. She took our ideas and ran wild with them in the best way possible. I could not have asked for a better person to trust with such a special day. -

I hired Rusted Vase Floral for our destination wedding at Disneyland Resort in California. From day one I felt like Carlee really understood my vision and was excited to work with me. She used her knowledge and expertise in deciding what floral would be purchased in Seattle and brought down and what could be gotten in the area we were married. This ensured we had very special, hard to find, extra large tropical foliage for our venue space.
She is a gifted artist and we received so many compliments about our bouquets (9 in total!) and the floral that decorated our reception space.
I also hired Carlee to assemble my personal decor in our reception space which she added floral enhancements to. This made our day run so smoothly because we didn't have to worry about setting up or breaking down our decor before or after the reception.
I would definitely recommend working with Rusted Vase for your event. She makes wild, romantic, and gorgeous floral art and will bring your vision to life! -

I searched so long for a florist and passed up so many people because I really had something different and out of the box and pretty difficult and I just could not find anyone who could pull off what I was looking for until I was introduced to this amazing women! My wedding planner recommended her as she’s worked together with her and knows her and how awesome her work is ! And thank god! Not only did she pull off one of the most epic arches ever! She new exactly my vision without even me going into to much detail, it’s like she could read my mind! Her work is very outside the box and organic which is exactly what I needed and her attitude towards doing something creative and different was amazing ! Most places just want to do the same old thing and be traditional and boring and have limits but not her! She was allllll for my weird ideas and she turned them into masterpieces ! Not only did she give 200% of her hard work and love into my floral arrangements and arche but she even helped decorate and helped out with the day of stuff also! Which I am beyond grateful for ! She brought extra hands which was soooo amazing because between her and her help and our wedding planner and her extra help she brought, everything went so smoothly and looked beyond magical! I mean it was a real like fairytale ! Something out of Robin Hood ! I wasn’t even sure the crazy ideas in my head could be created but they all made it happen somehow ! And even better than what I could have imagined ! And the best benefit of choosing her was that I got a new amazing friend out of it! She’s one of the sweetest humans I know and I am honored that I could add her to my group of family ! It really was remarkable how amazing everyone was who I booked for things because I got to see how much love they really put into their work and art and that made my day so much more special ! She just really blew me away ! -

Carlee designed our bouquets, ceremony flowers, and table arrangements and everything was absolutely stunning. We were so happy we found Rusted Vase! Based off a recommendation from our wedding planner (Holly-Kate & Co.) we instantly clicked with the owner, Carlee. She understood our style right off the bat and often would finish our sentences! She just got it! Carlee even went above and beyond and met us at our venue to talk through the vision, something that my parents and I really appreciated. I knew after our first meeting we were in great hands. It was so fun to watch everything come to life day of. Carlee helped make our wedding day unforgettable and we can’t recommend her enough. -

Crystal Sent on 08/20/2018I found Carlee on Instagram just a few months before my wedding. I was initially going to have one of my bridesmaids do my flowers, but came to realize that wouldn't have been the best idea, considering how she had to commit to well, bridesmaid duties. :)
What attracted my now, husband, and I to Carlee's work was her ability to make flowers look like true works of art. Her attention to detail, ability to use color, and a wide range of textures really wowed us. As a wedding vendor myself, I felt like I had high expectations, and also a very specific look in mind (asymmetrical, airy, beachy, unique, and only white + green).
Carlee really nailed our floral look, and we got nothing but compliments from our guests. After the wedding a few of my other vendors posted my bouquet on Instagram, and we received even more compliments on there! I was thrilled to be receiving so much love, but at the same time, I wasn't surprised, because Carlee definitely went above and beyond. I would hire her again in a heartbeat. Maybe for a vowel renewal in the coming years! -

Izzy Sent on 06/19/2018Carlee’s work is absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I love bright colors so we just asked her to make our wedding “bright” and she ran with it in gorgeous arrangements. We got piles of compliments about the flowers at our wedding and they completed our look perfectly. She also did a wonderful job of helping us be as economical as possible (reusing arrangements for reception and ceremony) and went above and beyond with helping us source a custom photo booth backdrop. She is wonderfully creative and a joy to work with. I just wish I could have her arrangements in my life every day!

Planning a wedding during a pandemic felt impossible!! I waited on finalizing vendors for the fear of it all being cancelled. I had been following Carlee for a while & knew if I was going to pick a florist, it needed to be her! Time crept up on me as I work in healthcare & the pandemic was all I knew every waking second I had. I panicked when I realized my time was getting close & I had not booked Carlee yet. She responded so quickly & was available for my date. I showed her a couple photos I was drooling over & she made it happen. I loveeeeeeeed my bouquet!!! It was so incredibly dreamy and perfect. So happy she was able to make my bouquet dreams come to life! -
