We got married at Running Deer in October 2025, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. The venue is absolutely stunning in the fall, with immaculate grounds and beautiful scenery that made for incredible photos, and the staff was exceptional from start to finish—professional, attentive, and completely on top of every detail. The food was phenomenal, and our guests are still raving about both the quality and presentation. We received endless compliments on the venue and overall experience, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Running Deer is a beautiful, well-run venue that we would recommend without hesitation to any couple looking for a perfect wedding day. -

The Best Day Ever 5/17/25
I can not even put into words how fantastic Running Deer Golf Club staff for my husband and myself on our wedding. We were floating on clouds the day of our wedding, we had the best day ever because of all the staff. Jess was the best wedding concierge she was there when you needed something and every step of the day from the start to the very end! I can’t thank Kaitlin enough and all of her team they did an amazing job staying organize and always answering questions I may have had. Our day was absolutely perfect. The team at RD (Jess, Riley,& Heather) made sure my day was perfect. We had a minor issue with a vendor and they solved it! Our vision came to life. The guests are still obsessing over the phone, staff, and entire night. Their prices are so fair it’s almost unbelievable. There’s no need for an additional coordinator either - this team does it all. Heather was my fairy godmother all night. A dream come true!
Running Deers team of amazing people truly made the entire process and day the most perfect day ever! Jess was amazing to work with throughout the process and answered all our questions while making us feel at ease! The day of coordinators were flawless and made the night truly amazing. The food and drinks were perfection! It’s 2 months later and I still have family members reaching out to me about how amazing the food was! Our experience at Running Deer Golf Club truly felt like a fairy tale come true going above and beyond our expectations. The entire event was a dream come true, surpassing all we had hoped for. From the moment we arrived, the staff warmly welcomed us and made us feel like VIPs, ensuring every detail was taken care of.
The team's attention to detail was impeccable, and they were incredibly accommodating to our needs throughout the planning process. On the day of our wedding, the venue looked absolutely stunning, thanks to the dedicated staff who executed our vision perfectly. The setup was flawless, and the decor provided and given exceeded our wildest dreams. The food served was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, leaving our guests raving about it long after the event. (EVEN 300+ days later!!!)

I cannot express enough how absolutely incredible Running Deer was for our big day! We got married March 22, 2024, and it was the most perfect day. Running Deer was the first venue I looked at and when I walked through the front doors, immediately seeing the windows in the ballroom, I was hooked. I got that feeling "this is it". My husband couldn't make that tour so we went on looking at other venues before I was able to take him back there. He got the same exact feeling when he walked in. The staff is INCREDIBLE! They made sure everything was planned perfectly, was always available to answer any questions and assist in anyway. Honestly, it was the most stress free day from 7:30am until the night ended, which is crazy to say about your wedding day. You get a day of coordinator on the big day and WOW did they not miss a thing. There was a point she shimmied her way onto the dance floor to take my almost empty glass while handing me a full one. She took care of me, my husband and our families, she was so amazing. Oh, she even almost threw herself in front of me so that Joe didn't see me when he decided he had to go to the bathroom while in line to start the ceremony. They really love what they do there and it shows through the way they treat you and the way they go about making sure every single detail is perfectly in place for your day. The food was AMAZING!!!! Before you say 'I do" to your person, you have to say "I do" to your venue. My "I do" with Running Deer (RD) was the second best "I do" I've said! From start to finish, the crew at RD has been extremely helpful, flexible, and amazing to work with. I started out working with Miranda who was a gem, and when she left, I was placed into the very capable hands of Katie and Jess. Everyone was very nice and accommodating, and Jess answered my emails in an extremely timely fashion. You definitely get an amazing bang for your buck at RD, including your own day of "fairy godmother." Ours was Heather D, who went above and beyond not only for us, but also for some of our guests who had to run out after the ceremony to do a favor for us. My guests (and vendors!!!) raved about the food, venue itself, and staff. Running Deer Golf Club was our DREAM venue!! The space is beautiful and so easy to make it your own to match the vibe of your wedding! So much was included in our package that it made our decision to book so easy! The gorgeous bridal suite and them having a grooms suite sold us!!! All of the staff member along the way were always SO helpful and quick to respond. Jessica was amazing to work with and was so sweet and accommodating to our wishes! Heather, our concierge on the day of, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care at every minute!! The staff was truly amazing!! ALL of our guests had so much fun and many people told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to! The food was AMAZING and there was so much of it to go around- no one left hungry! Best Day of our Lives!
Hands down, the best day of our lives. Before we even toured here, I knew this was our venue. I had loved it from the outside looking in, and only hoped it would meet our expectations.
From the planning, to the day of, Running Deer was absolutely amazing. We chose to get married in the timbers ceremony space. My vision truly came to life. Miranda, Kaitlyn, & Jessica gave reminders amount payments, answered all questions at the 2 month details meeting, and dealt with my last minute changes. The set up was PERFECTION.
As for the day of, I cannot think of one regret/thing that went wrong on RD’s part. The staff was absolutely awesome. My guests and family members raved about the service, how good the food was, and how this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We were truly blessed to have the most amazing team of vendors and blown away by the care Running Deer provided to us on our wedding day. It was truly a day to remember and we cannot thank them enough for bringing our dream

I got engaged on December 24,2021. From the moment I got engaged it was booking venue tours after venue tours. We toured 8 venues and every venue we tour we left disappointed because I knew that wasn’t the venue we could see our self getting married at. I asked a couple different Facebook groups for venue recommendations and countless comments kept saying Running Deer. So I scheduled two venue tours back to back, one being Running Deer. Immediately walking in the venue I had this feelings and knew this was our venue. My parents went with us as well, and could tell this was the one. After doing our tour I truly fell in love with everything they had to offer. We also saw a couple picking up their belongs as they just had their wedding the night before. The raved about the venue , the staff , and that just secured our decision in choosing Running Deer. From every meeting to the actual day of our wedding. Everything was truly perfect!! We had Heather D as our Matron D, let me just say she was an angel sent from heaven! She was on top of everything. Made us feel so comfortable, and we always had a drink in our hand, she changed my heals and put my sneakers on for me. She was legit the best and I can’t rave about her enough! BEST wedding venue ever!
Running Deer is truly the best of the best. The wedding coordination staff is truly top notch. Kaitlyn and Jess helped plan and decorate the day of. Heather was the wedding day concierge and she truly made my day so special. Without her, it would not have been so seem less. She literally took the shoes off my feet when they were hurting me! She was an actual angel. The venue package comes with everything you could ever want. Our guests had an amazing time and the food was great. Best of the best!!
My now husband & I fell in love with this venue! The entire staff at Running Deer was kind, personable, super responsive and SO HELPFUL during the planning process. Our wedding coordinator, Jess, went above and beyond for us from the first details meeting up to wedding day! Jess was by our side all of wedding day, making sure we were well taken care of & never without a drink in our hand ;) She even bustled my 3 layer dress!! The Best Venue!
We had our wedding at Running Deer on June 17th and when I say that everything about the day was perfect I really do mean it. The team at Running Deer did the most incredible job making our wedding day everything that we had dreamed about and more. They really took our vision for the day and completely knocked it out of the park. Not a single thing went wrong from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Everything ran so smoothly and our guests had so much fun that they are still raving about it. From the moment we stepped into Running Deer we knew it was going to be our place and everyone we worked with throughout the entire process was so lovely and professional.
We worked closely with Miranda and Kate from the beginning of the process through to the wedding day and they were so communicative and quick to respond and both incredibly kind and absolutely lovely people to work with. Jessica and Heather were with us every step of the way on the day off and they were both amazing. They anticipated every need and helped keep the day flowing smoothly so that we could just enjoy every moment of it. The wait staff and bartenders did an excellent job taking care of our guests and the food was incredible. Appetizer food has always been our favorite foods at every wedding and Running Deer absolutely crushed it. We couldn’t have been happier with how amazing our wedding at Running Deer was and we will be raving about it to anyone who will listen for the foreseeable future. -

We had our wedding at Running Deer Golf Club in June 2023 & it was the BEST day of our lives! If I could give Running Deer & their staff 500 stars I would. We didn't love the idea of a seated dinner, so they helped us throw the best cocktail reception with plenty of delicious food and so much time for dancing. Jessica, Kaitlyn & Heather are absolute angels and helped us throughout every second of the day. They even lint rolled some bugs off of my dress, lol we didn't even have a chance to be stressed because they handled everything so flawlessly. They set up our decor, moved some decorations and reminded me of plenty of things I would have forgotten day of. This venue looks like it should cost you a million bucks, but the best part is it is very reasonable and so accommodating. They had the most spacious and beautiful bride and groom suites, the cutest outdoor spaces and so much more. Don't think twice, Running Deer is the best. Truly, I cannot say enough about Running Deer Golf Club. I felt so at home from the very beginning. Our wedding was 04/08/2023 and it was the best day! The whole Running Deer team made our day so easy and laidback exactly how we wanted. Jessica in the morning made sure everything went well beforehand and Heather in the evening made sure our day went great! Heather even re-bustled my dress no less than 3 times. Per all our guests, the food was delicious and they had an amazing time. The venue its beautiful, exactly what we wanted. For the longest time we’ve wanted to get married in a forest, so when we found Running Deer on Wedding Wire and saw The Timbers and the reception hall, it was love at first sight and we just knew that we had to book it for our wedding. The Timbers was so beautiful and romantic and the reception hall, with its large floor to ceiling windows, was my fairytale dream. From our very first phone call with Miranda we felt like we had made the right choice. She was incredibly friendly and helpful and always happy to answer our tons of questions. When we came for one of their expos we met the two coordinators, Kaitlyn and Jessica, and if we weren’t sure already at that point, we became even more sure that this was the perfect venue for our wedding. They were both the loveliest people we have ever met and just like Miranda, just so accommodating, friendly and helpful. Everything leading up to our wedding and the day of the wedding went so smoothly and everyone working the wedding from our concierge, Donna, to the Chef, to Sue and her team of waitstaff, were just so amazing. My décor was set up exactly how I wanted it by Kaitlyn, Jessica and the team, and as a type A bride this made my heart super happy. The food was beyond delicious and had our guests raving about every detail. We cannot have had a better experience! Best day EVER
BEST. DAY. EVER. No exaggeration - Running Deer went above and beyond any expectations we had for our wedding day. My husband and I looked at several venues, but both absolutely LOVED Running Deer. There was one date available 6 months out, and we jumped to book it. Kate was always available to answer any questions I had (I had millions), always patient and gave me her honest opinion which was so valuable to me. When we had our details meeting, any stress I had literally melted away. We dropped all of our things at Running Deer before the wedding, and I just knew that everything would be great when we came back for our wedding day. GREAT is an understatement. Everything was absolutely PERFECT. Everything was set up even more beautifully than I had ever dreamed. Heather was our girl that day and she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She was there for everything I needed and made me feel like a QUEEN. My parents raved about how attentive she was: from bustling my dress, to bringing drinks, to anything else you could think of. She took care of every single detail and worked her butt off to make sure my day was absolutely perfect. We have gotten so many compliments since our wedding - how amazing the food was, how beautiful the venue was, and just how much fun everything was. From the moment I saw Running Deer’s profile I knew they would fit my vision for my wedding PERFECTLY. Not only do they aesthetically fit the whimsical, woodland, and rustic vibe I was looking for, but their staff is top-notch. Running Deer is incredibly personable and well organized. They answer all your questions- even when you could’ve just read the FAQ a bit better (ha!). They have tastings for you and two guests, they have plenty of materials/supplies for you to borrow (even an arch!!), and they even include food, an open bar, cake, most gratuities, a day-of-coordinator, and a Maitre D in your contract!! The staff is wonderful and will really become your family. I actually GOT SICK at my wedding from the adrenaline crash (OTL not my finest moment) and my fairy godmother had an ice pack, ginger ale, and a stand-up fan placed right at my table for me. She had the vendors back off as well as redirected guests so I could relax with my husband, all while making it seem like nothing was wrong. Even my PARENTS didn’t know until much later how I was feeling.
The venue’s design itself is breathtaking. The reception hall is gorgeous for a ceremony if needed, too. I personally chose my venue based on both their outdoor and indoor ceremony spots because I wanted to plan for all types of weather. Since Running Deer has a separate room for the bar as well as a separate bar for cocktail hour if need be, you can rest assured that there will be plenty of space for your guests. I had 125 people at my wedding and I did not feel cramped. I believe that 150 is the max I would have had if I invited more people, though, as the dancefloor will be eaten away by tables as you add more guests.
HONESTLY if you want any sort of woodland, whimsical, rustic, greenery wedding I STRONGLY suggest Running Deer and their suggested vendors list. The work is done for you, just sign the check! Ha!Running Deer Golf Club by Ron Jaworski Weddings's reply:

Amazing Venue, Staff and Experience at RD!
I can't say enough great things about our entire experience at Running Deer! Miranda then shifting to Kate were amazing from start to finish in planning our dream wedding! All of the small and big questions I had, Kate always had a prompt detailed answer. Planning our tasting was so easy and Kate was with us every step of the way making the planning process so easy! We had our rehearsal and dinner which was awesome and orchestrated by Heather who was also our day of coordinator! I know exactly why everyone calls her the fairy godmother! She was incredible and with us for every step of the way, at our beck and call. Whatever we needed, she got it. Our drinks and plates were always full. The food was incredible, our guests still can't stop talking about it! We had the time of our life and can't thank everyone at Running Deer enough! Highly recommend! From the moment we walked in the door, we knew this was the place where we wanted our dream wedding to come to life! The venue, staff, food, recommended vendors, everything was perfect!
Miranda and Kat are saints! I must have talked to them 100x a week and they were always so kind and always made me feel at ease when I thought things were getting crazy. Heather was incredible and made the wedding day run smooth. She was there if we needed her for anything. She not only, checked on my husband and I but also our parents and guests which I thought was super sweet. We just got married and would HIGHLY recommend this venue to everyone! Food was excellent and everyone raved about how delicious everything was. We did the buffet style and it was amazing! Staff was also amazing, especially Heather. She was our concierge and we have ZERO complaints. She got us all the food from cocktail hour to desserts without even asking. If our drink was half empty, she brought us another or asked us before she ran to get another. Everything we possibly needed she was there with a smile on her face! Another huge shutout to Miranda and Kate for answering all my questions and helping me plan our wedding with ease! Everything ran so smoothly! Running Deer made our wedding dreams become reality. I cannot say enough good things about them - they are BEYOND amazing!! The venue itself is gorgeous, and we were able to have our ceremony outside in their beautiful wooded Timbers area - a literal magical fairytale. We fell in love with the venue immediately. The natural rustic decor, high ballroom ceilings, delicious food options, chocolate room, sangria bar etc.. they had it ALL. We worked with Kaitlyn, who is so incredibly sweet and patient. She always responded quickly and was so helpful throughout the process. We also worked with Miranda, who was so patient with our ever-changing plans due to the pandemic. She was incredibly sweet and accommodating. The whole staff made us feel SO special. The day of the wedding, Heather was our "fairy godmother", and I completely understand where the nickname comes from now. She went above and beyond to make sure our drinks stayed full and every little detail was taken care of - so we didn't worry about a single thing on our wedding. I could go on and on about how grateful we are for the amazing Running Deer staff, but this review would probably go over the word limit. From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our guests raved about the staff, the food, and the dreamy ceremony location. I wish I could re-live it all over again! My Husband and I got married at Running Deer on 4.16.21, after having to postpone 2 times due to COVID. That being said, our wedding day was perfect. We felt like we were in our own little fairytale garden dream.
Miranda and Kaitlyn were so kind, caring, and understanding. From the moment we began planning our day they made us feel confident, that no matter what restrictions were in place, we would still have the wedding of our dreams. They helped us navigate all of the uncharted waters of planning a wedding during a pandemic and we most definitely couldn’t have done it without them.
For our wedding day, all the staff were so helpful and understanding. Food and service were excellent. Sarina and Sarah worked directly with my husband and I. They handle everything and anything we needed. They are the sweetest. Some of the best!
My Husband and I ultimately picked Running Deer because of their amazing staff and we are so glad that we did. I don’t think our day would have been the same without all their wonderful staff by our side. We are forever grateful.

I was looking for a wedding venue with unique character and gorgeous, rustic ceremony space. From the moment I saw The Timbers ceremony space at Running Deer Golf Club, I knew this was our spot! Miranda and Kate were great to work with throughout the entire process, always answering our questions in a timely manner and being very accommodating. COVID restrictions were ever changing leading up to our wedding date and they helped put me at ease. Numerous people told me the staff at Running Deer were true professionals leading up to the wedding and that is certainly the case. We moved forward with having our wedding outside on their newly finished paved and tented area and I was so thrilled! The day was perfect and everyone was so communicative. There was some off-and-on rain during the afternoon and I was kept up to date on the storm's every move! Everything was so beautiful, the food was delicious and everything went off without a problem! I had to change my wedding date last minute and my previous vendor could not accommodate. I had a bridal shower scheduled at Running Deer and when we came to them with the idea of changing that into a wedding, they were ecstatic. We had about a month to re-plan an entire wedding from start to finish. During the wedding. they provided a bridal attendant who did everything I could have needed and more. Because of Covid regulations, the entire wedding was outdoors which I was afraid of. Running Deer did an AMAZING job with outdoor accommodations. My wedding was classy, beautiful and more than I ever could have imagined thanks to Running Deer and their dedicated wedding employees. -

The most amazing venue!
From the first time we visited Running Deer, we felt so well taken care of. My husband and I got married July 2020 at Running Deer in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The entire Running Deer staff was with us every step of the way during such an unprecedented time. Miranda stayed in contact with us easing our worries with each new update. They made our wedding happen above and beyond all our expectations, even providing us with a gorgeous outdoor reception set up so that our guests could safely enjoy our wedding. Heather kept the day of so organized for us that all we had to do was relax and enjoy our wedding! Beyond amazing!
We got married at Running Deer on February 15, 2020. We knew from the very beginning that we wanted to have our wedding reception at Running Deer. It was the perfect venue for our winter wedding. They also updated their ballroom with brand new hardwood floors, which made the room look even more stunning! Miranda and Kaitlyn were so accommodating. They answered all of our questions and helped make our wedding planning so easy. I am usually nervous letting other people take control but they did everything exactly how I wanted it. The day of the wedding, Heather was there to greet us and was with us the rest of the night. Heather was beyond amazing! She took care of everything and allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. After much searching for our venue, we made the easy choice of going with Running Deer for our wedding ceremony and reception. Miranda and Kaitlyn were nothing short of AMAZING. It was so easy planning the day throughout the entire process. We never felt nervous or worried about any detail of the day; we knew it was taken care of and would be great. Everything the day of our wedding was exactly how they described it would be. We were often asked “How are you doing”, “Can I get you anything?”, etc in the hours leading up to the ceremony to make sure the day was perfect for us. We knew our day was in great hands. Their staff was just as great as they were. Our maitre d’, Heather, was so helpful and accomodating before the ceremony, during the ceremony, and during our reception. She made sure to ask if we needed any food or drink and was there to ensure we were having the best time; we were! The rest of the staff was very efficient and polite and all made our day amazing!

Running Deer was the best venue we could ever hope to have for our wedding!! From our very first visit, we knew we wanted to have our wedding and reception at Running Deer. This venue was considerably more affordable than any comparable venue in North Jersey. They charge by monetary values and not per person, which was a huge deciding factor for us. When we found out they still had a Saturday available in the summer, we jumped at the chance and I'm so glad we did.
From the very beginning, Kaitlyn G. was so incredibly helpful and patient! I must've emailed her nearly 50 times in the months leading up to the wedding and she was always happy to answer any of my questions. My now husband and I live about two and a half hours away from Running Deer, so they were great about doing everything through email so that we wouldn't have to make the trip too often.
The wedding itself went so smoothly, it was a dream. We asked if we could get to the venue much earlier than originally agreed upon and they were very accommodating. Us women had our own room to get ready in and they even brought us refreshments and checked in on anything we needed.
The grounds at Running Deer are stunning. There are all kinds of backdrops for photos and we were given golf carts to go out with our photographer and capture some photos before the wedding.
We decided to get married at the pergola and it was beautiful! One small imperfection was that a group of golfers teed off at the nearest hole during the ceremony, though we were told that hole would be closed at the time of our ceremony. Luckily we were unaware and didn't even realize this happened until a week after the wedding, when one of our guests told us.
The food is also on a whole other level. We've gotten so many compliments from our guests about the amazing cocktail hour. We were all blown away.
I also have to mention how amazing our day-of coordinator was. Heather D. was attentive but knew when to hold back and let us savor the day. We never had to ask for a drink, she always had one waiting for us! My mom had also known my secret goal of walking up the aisle after the ceremony and straight to the cocktail hour pizza station to get a slice, and she told Heather and Heather made sure she met us at the end of the aisle with a plate of pizza and even napkins!! This created one of the best photos from our wedding; it was so, so special.
Overall, we could not have been more pleased with absolutely every aspect of Running Deer. Their employees are amazing, their grounds are lovely, and their chefs are top notch. Our guests loved absolutely everything, from the beautiful views, to the stunning ballroom, the killer cocktail hour, delicious dinner, the fully stocked dessert room, and of course the open bar. We also still get compliments for the homemade cookies Running Deer handed out at the end of the night.
Truly a gem of a place and I would not hesitate one bit in recommending Running Deer to any couple looking for a perfect venue! -

So happy with our experience!
My husband and I got married at Running Deer Golf Club on 8/9/19 and we were very pleased with our experience. From the very start, we knew we chose the right place. Michael, Kate, and Miranda were welcoming, kind, and helpful from the get-go. Leading up to the wedding. people who were familiar with Running Deer Had only great things to say about it and now we know why.
We chose the Timbers ceremony space and it was exactly what we wanted - an intimate, unique space that you don’t usually find at a golf club. This carried into the reception room, too. The grounds are immaculate and the Timbers space was freshly spruced up on the morning of our wedding.
We had some different requests for our wedding and they were extremely accommodating which put my worries at ease. Everything ran like a well-oiled machine and they were true professionals. The food was DELICIOUS!

Absolute perfection in every way. From the moment we walked into Running Deer, Kevin and I knew it was the one (and believe me, we looked at a lot of placed prior). Everything about it was exactly what we wanted, but to make things even better, the people couldn't have been nicer. Miranda is everything you need and more. She's the nicest person ever and she genuinely cares about you and your wedding day. She got to know my whole family and really spent time making sure we had exactly what we needed. On our wedding day, she came and sat with me for a little just to chat and was my look out in the hallway so I didn't see my husband, and I have moments with her that I will cherish forever. Kaitlyn is equally sweet. She is always willing to help you out and do so with a smile on her face. She was the first person I saw on my wedding day, and just her telling me "hey, everything that's set up now is for your day" was the first moment I realized it was MY day. And Heather was the greatest gift Running Deer gave me. She kept me fed, kept handing me drinks, wiped cake off me, did my bustle, yelled at people when I asked her to, and is a huge part of the reason my wedding day was perfect. What can we say about running deer that hasn’t already been said? Extremely professional and passionate about weddings. Kaitlyn was fabulous with helping us with our planning and took such care into answering all of our questions or concerns. If you need someone who will answer all of your calls, emails or texts when wedding panic sets it, she’s your girl. She gave my husband and I so much reassurance and respect during the entire process. Not to mention how fabulous heather was! She was practically my right hand during the big day. I’m trying to get everyone I know to get married and Running Deer and invite me so that I can keep going back! We spent three months looking for a venue that was in our budget, had a beautiful outdoor ceremony site, amazing food, and professional event planners, and we were totally dumbfounded that it took us so long to find this venue. So much was included in their package prices compared to similar venues that we were able to have it all- lots of cocktail hour snacks, top shelf bar, classy dinner options, AND in budget. From the first email to the follow up after the wedding, RD staff were prompt, friendly, and helpful. The day of my wedding I felt like they were part of our group of friends- the way they shared our excitement and made sure everything was perfect was above and beyond. When I was missing a table number they actually found a block of wood that closely resembled my other table numbers and made one. Our “wedding consierge” (basically a wedding coordinator/personal assistant) Heather was with us all night making sure my dress train wasn’t dragging, we were fed, happy, and we had fresh drinks in our hand. She even knew when I was feeling overwhelmed and needed to sit and breathe for a few seconds. Finally, the timbers is absolutely the most dreamy spot for a woodsy wedding you’ll find. All of my guests continue to tell me how gorgeous and romantic it was there. I know they say that your wedding day goes by quickly and that you don’t remember some of the moments you thought you would, but Running Deer made it so easy to be in the moment and take in every detail, happy tear, and heart-overfilled feeling. I was warned and very prepared for something to go wrong, as things always do during big events, but our night was absolutely perfect. Without hesitation I will always recommend Running Deer for any important event. My husband and I got married at Running Deer on September 28, 2018 and the day COMPLETELY exceeded our expectations. I had been looking for a venue that was different from the typical crystal chandelier NJ ballroom and Running Deer completely fit the bill. The space is intimate and rustic, with gorgeous high ceilings and these giant windows looking out onto their perfectly manicured grounds. From the moment we signed our contract, we knew we were going to be treated like family. Essentially all of our wedding planning was handled through Kate, who did a phenomenal job answering questions, responding in a timely fashion, and easing all of our concerns. We felt so prepared going into the day because we knew she had everything taken care of. Then on the day of the rehearsal, we had the pleasure of meeting Miranda. She not only coordinated the rehearsal with ease (when everyone was of course excited and slightly out of hand), but she took our massive pile of lanterns, candles, lights, wooden signs, etc. and turned it into something sensational. I was honestly floored when we walked into the venue because it was everything I had envisioned and more. I could not have thanked Miranda enough for making the space quite literally, perfect. After our GORGEOUS outdoor ceremony under the pergola, our guests were treated to cocktail hour on the patio. The food and selection was just out of this world and we got SOOO many compliments from guests. Because my husband and I wanted to stick with tradition and wait to see one another until the ceremony, that meant we had to take pictures during cocktail hour. Not only was our entire wedding party treated with an entire tray of yuenglings (our favorite beer) right after the ceremony as we were being shuffled off to pictures, but this outstanding woman, Heather, actually brought my husband and I yuenglings and food in between almost every single picture as family members were being swapped out. Every time she swapped me a beer for my bouquet, I felt like royalty!!! And my husband was thrilled because it made pictures more tolerable! After we were done with pictures and cocktail hour, we were ushered inside to start the party. One of the fun things about running deer is that they have the best sweetheart table set up with this giant couch/chair for two. It really made for some great pictures and was amazing to just have that space with my husband. Of course when we sat down, the entire table was filled with appetizers from cocktail hour in case there were things we missed trying, which was so thoughtful. After speeches, Heather escorted us to pick out everything we wanted for dinner and kindly brought the plates back to the table for us. Dinner was just as good as cocktail hour (prime rib was my favorite) and our guests really liked the informal stations set up where they could select whatever they wanted and go back for as much as they liked. Then of course dessert was served from the chocolate indulgence room and got rave reviews from everyone! If you're looking for the perfect venue with a perfect team that is there to make your big day completely unforgettable, you must visit Running Deer. -

Running Deer's wedding crew is just incredible. They made all of our dreams and more come true. Kaitlyn, Miranda, and Heather are wonderful - they were punctual, great listeners (to exactly what we wanted and our vision), kind, and extreme helpers. They all really cared about our day. Aurienne Sent on 09/27/2018I cannot write enough positive things about Running Deer Golf Club as a wedding venue. From the moment my wife and I walked in we knew we had to have our wedding there. The venue had everything I was looking for, high ceilings, a woodsy outdoor feel, and friendly people working there, good food, and a large space to get ready with our giant wedding party, bonus points for being a very reasonable price. Being a same sex wedding we had lots of different requests and Running Deer was able to accommodate all of them. Our wedding coordinators Olivia (sadly is no longer there), Kaitlyn, and the two Heathers answered many emails promptly and always had all the answers. We visited the venue multiple times before the wedding and they were always eager to show us whatever we came to look at. The day of the wedding was flawless.

The day of the wedding they were by my side to make it absolutely perfect! The food was amazing and they really pay attention to the details making everything look gorgeous.

Catherine Sent on 05/24/2018I really cannot save enough wonderful things about Olivia, Kaitlyn, Heather, and the entire Running Deer staff! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and that was all due to how amazing the staff at Running Deer is! Olivia and Kaitlyn were incredibly helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process! They were always friendly, and willing to help/answer questions through email or over the phone! Heather was amazing on the day of the wedding! She constantly made sure we had anything we needed - food, drinks, desserts, any personal things we had forgotten! Kaitlyn and Heather also were incredible in helping set up all my DIY wedding decor, and made my vision a reality all while they made me relax in the bridal suite and just enjoy the day! On top of all the amazing staff, the venue is beautiful! There are so many locations on the golf course for pictures! 2 amazing ceremony sites, a beautiful rustic but classy ballroom, and spacious bridal suites to get ready in! The food is also amazing, so you really can't go wrong! I am so happy we had our wedding at Running Deer, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
