I can not even put into words how fantastic Running Deer Golf Club staff for my husband and myself on our wedding. We were floating on clouds the day of our wedding, we had the best day ever because of all the staff. Jess was the best wedding concierge she was there when you needed something and every step of the day from the start to the very end! I can’t thank Kaitlin enough and all of her team they did an amazing job staying organize and always answering questions I may have had. Thank you all and I would recommend Running Deer for future weddings! Beautiful venue and best accommodating venue!

We just got married and would HIGHLY recommend this venue to everyone! Food was excellent and everyone raved about how delicious everything was. We did the buffet style and it was amazing! Staff was also amazing, especially Heather. She was our concierge and we have ZERO complaints. She got us all the food from cocktail hour to desserts without even asking. If our drink was half empty, she brought us another or asked us before she ran to get another. Everything we possibly needed she was there with a smile on her face! Another huge shutout to Miranda and Kate for answering all my questions and helping me plan our wedding with ease! Everything ran so smoothly! I would do my wedding a thousand times over at Running Deer! Thank you to all staff for everything you did for us!

From beginning to end, dealing with Running Deer Golf Course was a pleasure! Heather McCall kept in constant contact with me months in advance answering any questions we had and keeping me up to date. The day of our wedding, we ahd nothing to worry about- Mary Jo was so efficient and got us whatever we needed. Needless to say, everything went smoothly. It was a great experience working with them and we hope to have another event there soon!

We had an excellent experience with Running Deer! Our venue liaison Olivia made the planning process seamless and the day-of all staff was extremely professional and accommodating. Food was great, it was an absolute blast, and I would highly recommend RD for those looking!

Running Deer made our wedding dreams become reality. I cannot say enough good things about them - they are BEYOND amazing!! The venue itself is gorgeous, and we were able to have our ceremony outside in their beautiful wooded Timbers area - a literal magical fairytale. We fell in love with the venue immediately. The natural rustic decor, high ballroom ceilings, delicious food options, chocolate room, sangria bar etc.. they had it ALL. We worked with Kaitlyn, who is so incredibly sweet and patient. She always responded quickly and was so helpful throughout the process. We also worked with Miranda, who was so patient with our ever-changing plans due to the pandemic. She was incredibly sweet and accommodating. The whole staff made us feel SO special. The day of the wedding, Heather was our "fairy godmother", and I completely understand where the nickname comes from now. She went above and beyond to make sure our drinks stayed full and every little detail was taken care of - so we didn't worry about a single thing on our wedding. I could go on and on about how grateful we are for the amazing Running Deer staff, but this review would probably go over the word limit. From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our guests raved about the staff, the food, and the dreamy ceremony location. I wish I could re-live it all over again! Our day was beyond perfect, and that was because of everyone at Running Deer Golf Club - the ABSOLUTE best!

My wife and I can't say enough about the amazing experience of getting married at Running Deer. First of all the location is beautiful. The club is in a gorgeous rural area at the end of a long road with beautiful homes on either side. It feels so private. We got married in The Timbers outdoor seating area amongst the trees away from the building (highly recommend). There is a large patio area for outdoor cocktail hour, but we were also guests at a wedding that had their cocktail hour inside and that worked fine as well. The ballroom is spacious (we had 15 guest tables fit easily).

Running Deer is a popular venue and many local vendors are used to working there, it seems. Our photographer and videographer had been there many times and knew the best shots to get. They worked seamlessly with the wedding coordinators. Speaking of, shout out to Miranda, Jessica, and all of the staff who helped us throughout the process. They were very quick to respond to emails and explained things well. We had a long details meeting about 3 months in advance of the wedding date and then handled smaller things via email from there on. Rehearsal night and morning of, they were accessible and let us work on setting things up in the space.

They have comfortable bride and groom suites, many beautiful decorative items available to borrow, a room dedicated to a dessert buffet (at least we made sure to include this in our package), fire pits outside, and they work with a local bakery so the cake is included in the package.

I can't imagine having a much easier time planning a wedding. Running Deer made it an incredible night for us.

Running Deer was the perfect location for our wedding. Heather was great to work with through out the planning process she was always quick to respond to any of my questions. When I arrived the day of the wedding I thought for sure things would not be how I wanted them (I do event planning and can be a bit OCD when it comes to the details) Boy was I surprised when I walked in and everything was exactly how I envisioned it! Mary Jo took care of everything that day and ensured we had a great time! The Running Deer Team was great!

I am so happy that we chose Running Deer to host our wedding ceremony and reception. The venue is beautiful, the staff is responsive and accommodating, and the services included in the wedding package are incredibly reasonable. Each event, from the arrival of the wedding party to the cake cutting, is perfectly orchestrated by an experienced and welcoming maitre d'. Any finishing touches that a bride could wish to add to her big day are made possible with the help of a friendly wedding coordinator. I was so happy to learn that my wedding day would be even more relaxing due to the efforts of Running Deer's staff. My husband and I were truly treated as guests of honor. Running Deer was the best decision we could have made in choosing a venue. Our day could not have been more enjoyable. I highly recommend the staff at Running Deer to host any event with class and elegance.

From the moment I saw Running Deer’s profile I knew they would fit my vision for my wedding PERFECTLY. Not only do they aesthetically fit the whimsical, woodland, and rustic vibe I was looking for, but their staff is top-notch. Running Deer is incredibly personable and well organized. They answer all your questions- even when you could’ve just read the FAQ a bit better (ha!). They have tastings for you and two guests, they have plenty of materials/supplies for you to borrow (even an arch!!), and they even include food, an open bar, cake, most gratuities, a day-of-coordinator, and a Maitre D in your contract!! The staff is wonderful and will really become your family. I actually GOT SICK at my wedding from the adrenaline crash (OTL not my finest moment) and my fairy godmother had an ice pack, ginger ale, and a stand-up fan placed right at my table for me. She had the vendors back off as well as redirected guests so I could relax with my husband, all while making it seem like nothing was wrong. Even my PARENTS didn’t know until much later how I was feeling.
The venue’s design itself is breathtaking. The reception hall is gorgeous for a ceremony if needed, too. I personally chose my venue based on both their outdoor and indoor ceremony spots because I wanted to plan for all types of weather. Since Running Deer has a separate room for the bar as well as a separate bar for cocktail hour if need be, you can rest assured that there will be plenty of space for your guests. I had 125 people at my wedding and I did not feel cramped. I believe that 150 is the max I would have had if I invited more people, though, as the dancefloor will be eaten away by tables as you add more guests.
HONESTLY if you want any sort of woodland, whimsical, rustic, greenery wedding I STRONGLY suggest Running Deer and their suggested vendors list. The work is done for you, just sign the check! Ha!

Many said it was the best wedding they've been to! Heather and her staff went above and beyond to make our day a success and extra special!

When my husband and I were searching for a reception venue, Running Deer was our first spot to check out. We walked into the venue, and we KNEW that this was where we wanted our reception to be. We fell in love with the rustic, yet modern look, and loved how cozy the room felt. We had seen pictures online, but they didn't do the place justice!

We met with Heather on our first meeting and she took us on a tour, answered any and all questions, and was very honest and open when it came to prices and such. She is incredible! Being a typical bride, in my planning months I emailed Heather COUNTLESS times with minor (silly) questions, and she responded back to each and every one in a friendly way and never made me feel like I was bothering her.

When it came to the big day, I can't even describe how PERFECT everything was! The staff scheduled that night set everything up exactly how I asked, and the room was absolutely breathtaking. We met our matre d, Angel, before the start of the reception. She was so friendly and willing to do anything for my husband and myself. Before our bridal party was announced, she even ran back to the bridal suite and grabbed ALL of my bridal party's flowers! She also made sure we ate and were taken are of the entire night.

Running Deer went above and beyond to exceed any expectations I could have ever had about my wedding day. The staff, the actual room, the food, the service... it was all EXCEPTIONAL!

My husband and I had the most wonderful wedding day thanks to the staff at Running Deer! We are so grateful for our experience, from start to finish, and are more than happy to express how we wish we could relive our day again and again. Our day was perfect. Jessica and the team made everything run smoothly on our big day. We had an amazing day and our guests had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was amazing, everyone was very helpful and professional.

I honestly cannot say enough how appreciative I am for everything Running Deer did for our wedding. They were so accommodating to our special requests. I am still hearing about The Chocolate Indulgence Room and The food! I cannot write enough positive things about Running Deer Golf Club as a wedding venue. From the moment my wife and I walked in we knew we had to have our wedding there. The venue had everything I was looking for, high ceilings, a woodsy outdoor feel, and friendly people working there, good food, and a large space to get ready with our giant wedding party, bonus points for being a very reasonable price. Being a same sex wedding we had lots of different requests and Running Deer was able to accommodate all of them. Our wedding coordinators Olivia (sadly is no longer there), Kaitlyn, and the two Heathers answered many emails promptly and always had all the answers. We visited the venue multiple times before the wedding and they were always eager to show us whatever we came to look at. The day of the wedding was flawless.

Running Deer was FANTASTIC!!! Mary Jo and Heather made sure that everything was perfect!!! They were very attentive to my husband and I and also our parents!! They made everything run smoothly and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding!! It was the hottest day of the year for our wedding, but Heather made sure all of our guest were accommodated and they quickly revised Cocktail Hour to suit everyone! Thanks again for the most amazing day of our lives!!

From the moment we booked a venue tour, to the last seconds of our wedding day, Running Deer was nothing short of amazing. They went above and beyond to help us have the wedding of our dreams. Not only is the venue itself beautiful, but the event planning team is amazing! They were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had while planning and they always made us feel like a priority. Everyone told me planning a wedding was a lot of work and really time consuming, but when you work with a team like the one at Running Deer, wedding planning is a breeze! The venue is beautifully decorated and makes it very easy for a bride who has a theme in mind. The entire place photographs lovely and really completes a picture. The floor plan is perfect and allows for your guests to grab food/drink and return right to the ballroom where the fun is! The food is great but our guests fell in love with the desserts. The staff is attentive before the wedding and even more so during the event. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

I was looking for a wedding venue with unique character and gorgeous, rustic ceremony space. From the moment I saw The Timbers ceremony space at Running Deer Golf Club, I knew this was our spot! Miranda and Kate were great to work with throughout the entire process, always answering our questions in a timely manner and being very accommodating. COVID restrictions were ever changing leading up to our wedding date and they helped put me at ease. Numerous people told me the staff at Running Deer were true professionals leading up to the wedding and that is certainly the case. We moved forward with having our wedding outside on their newly finished paved and tented area and I was so thrilled! The day was perfect and everyone was so communicative. There was some off-and-on rain during the afternoon and I was kept up to date on the storm's every move! Everything was so beautiful, the food was delicious and everything went off without a problem! It really was the best day ever thanks to the staff at Running Deer and their beautiful grounds!

As a DJ company who works at many venues I have to say Running Deer is one of the hands down best to work at! Absolute Entertainment always loves to walk in and the hospitality from the get go is amazing!! The entire staff is amazing and super outgoing - I highly recommend everyone to check out this amazing venue!!

Heather and Tara at Running Deer were amazing to work with! Their emails were always responded to in a timely matter (by the end of the day). The food was absolutely amazing, the greens were perfect for pictures, the outdoor patio was so warm and homey for our cocktail hour! My husband and I didn't want to spend a fortune on our wedding reception, but we didn't want to go 'skimpy' on our wedding day and Running Deer was our perfect match!
