I stumbled upon Feather & Twine on Instagram after getting engaged. After a while, I started to notice that all my saved inspiration photos belonged to them. Upon meeting Kelsey & Talon, I was sold and they became the first vendor I booked for my wedding. They are the kindest couple, so welcoming & complete visionaries! They photographed our engagements, bridals, and entire wedding weekend better than I could have ever imagined. F&T captures real expressions, the fun in-between moments and intimate details so effortlessly. My wedding photos are something I'll forever cherish! Book these two before you miss your chance. -

Stop your search and book them now!!! We could not have loved our experience working with Kelsey and Talon more - and our photos are more beautiful, more stunning, more incredible than we could've ever imagined! They are unbelievably talented and a true JOY to be around. Just their presence added so much to our wedding day! From engagements, to bridals, to the big day - they always put me (and my spouse who is not comfortable in front of the camera!) at ease. They were able to capture so many genuine, candid moments between me and my husband - they have a true gift at capturing the essence of people + relationships! They are total pros and kept everything under control and moving along on the big day as well. I honestly don't know what we would've done without them :) I really can't say enough great things about them. Booking them was the best decision I made throughout the whole wedding process!!! -

Choosing Feather and Twine as our photographer was one of the most important parts of wedding.
While yes, you’ll have the memories of your wedding day forever, investing into photography that truly captures the feel of your day is soooooo important. Kelsey and Talon are absolute artists, their eye for unique composition and beautiful colors are INCREDIBLE.
My husband dabbles in photography and was very picky as to what photographer we chose for our wedding. Feather and Twine were the only ones we found that he felt drawn to.
They didn’t just capture photos of our wedding. They captured moments, feelings, and “vibe” as silly as it sounds. They are very personal and take time to get to know what’s important to you, in order to capture your day in a way that’s unique to you.
We get compliments on our wedding photos all of the time. Seriously, book them and book them fast. -

Kelsey and Talon did a wonderful job! They have amazing attention to detail. They walked us through the plan for day and provided great suggestions for lighting and timing. JULY 31 WEDDING CELEBRATION REVIEW
Kelsey and Talon are an absolute dream to work with! Being a photographer, I spent hours pouring over dozens of options for wedding photogs in the Austin area, and decided on Feather and Twine for their consistency in editing style, skill in taking both posed and organic portraits/event photography, and their film + digital hybrid approach. We ended up having to reschedule our originally planned wedding twice due to the pandemic, and Kelsey and Talon worked with us easily through all of that as well as documented our minimony we had on our original day with immediate family in June 2020. We finally had our big wedding celebration in July 2021 with the rest of our family and friends, and it was so fun to work with them again on this second special day. Kelsey and Talon make you feel like old friends and comfortably get you in poses while encouraging organic moments. My hats off to them for dealing with our large and numerous groupings for my extended family like pros as well. Wedding day schedules can be hectic, but they make them feel so breezy and keep you relaxed and having fun through the process. They are the best of the best, and you will be so lucky to have them as part of your team on your wedding day!
JUNE 6 2020 MINIMONY REVIEW
Kelsey and Talon are truly the dream team! I work full time as a photographer and videographer, so finding the right photographers was one of the highest priorities on my planning list. I was looking for someone who could capture the day in a documentary way -- getting those authentic moments as they happen -- while also having the skill to pose people and who had consistency in their editing style. Kelsey and Talon had all of that and more! (With the added bonus of being film/digital hybrid, giving you the best of both worlds in photography!)
Before we hired them, we got to meet with them in person and get to know them which was really nice to not only get to know their history in wedding photography but also get to know them as people. They also took them time to get to know more about us and what our vision for our wedding day was. We had an engagement session included in our wedding package and got to spend two hours wandering SoCo as we took photos, listened to music and chatted. They made us feel so at ease in front of the camera that it was like spending a morning hanging out with friends.
Kelsey and Talon are fantastic at communication and have always been quick to respond to email and texts. As COVID-19 became more serious in the states and restrictions were placed on gatherings, we started re-evaluating our wedding plans as our original date was 6/6/2020. Ultimately, we decided to still get married on our date with only immediate family present and reschedule our big celebration to a later, safer date for the rest of our family and friends to join us. It was a tough decision that not only affected us but also our vendors. Kelsey and Talon were so accommodating and encouraging through our replanning and rescheduling. Kelsey even took the time to talk to me on the phone about how I was feeling and processing everything -- just taking that moment to be human meant so much.
They were super flexible and were available to reschedule to our new date as well as be there for a few hours to document our original date. Kelsey worked with us to make a timeline for both days and gave us recommendations for local florists who could do a small order for our now-small ceremony and dinner. (We used their recommendation of The Farmer & I and Carrington was great as well!) On June 6, Kelsey and Talon showed up early and got straight to photographing, getting every little and big moment as they happened, details both big and small. Even at such a small gathering I was worried about running behind, but Kelsey and Talon’s calming presence reminded me to just be in the moment and enjoy it all! They gave posing direction while also giving us flexibility to move in other ways.
We received a very generous amount of wedding photos and we are simply in love with their work! They captured a range of emotions and moments so perfectly and with such authenticity that you feel like you are right there as you look at the pictures. The tones in their editing are bright yet soft in all the right ways, warm and natural, perfectly depicting the sunny summer evening we had.
I realize I basically just wrote a novel about Feather & Twine, but I could still go on and on singing their praises. Kelsey and Talon are not only incredible at what they do after years and years of hard work, they are truly two of the kindest, most thoughtful and wonderful people. My husband and I are looking forward to working with them again on our rescheduled wedding celebration date! -

When I met with Kelsey and Talon over coffee, I immediately connected with them -- although they were working with other couples, they made me feel like their only priority and that it would be a treat to work together. They shared a sample of their work and took the time to get to know what I was looking for out of our wedding photos, even offering to share a Pinterest board to collaborate on the aesthetic. I immediately knew these were our photographers -- they were so kind, funny and attentive and also brought a lightness that helped alleviate my nerves. It didn't hurt that I felt like they were kindred spirits to my husband and me -- from their taste in music to their love of board games!
Kelsey & Talon are not only some of the most creative and talented photographers we've ever met, but we also consider them good friends at this point! They came to our engagement session and wedding day with excitement and ideas on the best locations, poses or methods to capturing our love. Even when Grant and I were at a loss for how to express ourselves, Kelsey & Talon knew the right words to say, music to play or prompts to give to elicit the best outcomes. On our wedding day, they kept us calm and present while bringing an infectious passion for love. They captured every last detail of our special day and those in-between moments are what we cherish the most! -

When I first talked to Kelsey and Talon, I knew they were the team for us. They are so down to earth and really cared about my vision for my day rather than just going through the motions. Their work is obviously beautiful, so that needs no introduction! I am a professional portrait photographer in NY, so I was very specific with what I wanted visually - but it was vital to me that we clicked with our vendors on a personal level as well. My husband and I had so much fun with them and we treasure the images they created for us. Their pricing is completely reasonable and we have more beautiful images than we know what to do with. Love love love! -

The sweetest, most adventurous souls you could ever wish to spend your special day with. People don't realize how much intimate time you spend with your photographers, and we were so happy Kelsey and Talon are the ones we chose! We renewed our vows in Portugal, and Feather and Twine were the best investment. They are experienced travelers, destination photographers, and overall incredible. As a wedding photographer myself, I was constantly impressed and so happy with their services. -

dream come true wedding photographers
It was so hard for me to sit down and start writing this review because once I really started thinking about the gift that Kelsey and Talon has given us, I get emotional. We were married on May 4th 2019, and we got our photos back in early July.
I originally found Feather&Twine on Instagram shortly after we got engaged. Before reading reviews or visiting their site, I knew I loved them from the quality of their work, attention to detail and the gorgeous LIGHT in all of their photos..they instantly made me want them for our wedding.
We met with them for coffee for our first meeting and ended up chatting well past dinnertime. Minutes turned to hours and it was so wonderful and easy to talk to them. Kelsey and Talon are like, relationship goals. They have such a wonderful partnership and their energies vibe and click so perfectly together.
We initially told them during the next couple of meetings that my husband and I are “photo-challenged” and how unphotogenic we are. Flash forward to our wedding day, I’ve never felt more at ease with a camera in my face. They are patient, kind, warm and so silly. They made Joe and I feel so comfortable and natural and normal and those emotions show through our wedding photos. And that’s where I get emotional even now because they have given us the gift of time. To feel so confident in our wedding photos, it just proves how wonderful Kelsey and Talon are at what they do. They are true creators and they have given us a gift we will Cherish forever.
All my photography needs moving forward will be through Kelsey and Talon. Any excuse just to work with them! -

Kelsey and Talon are incredible! They were SO easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable on the day of. Their photos are absolutely gorgeous works of art that I can't wait to display and (one day) share with our children. I'm currently unable to pick my favorites to print out or put into a photo album because they're ALL so beautiful! They also offered tidbits of advice on how to feel present on our wedding day and put pieces of ourselves into so many of the details. I absolutely loved having them be a part of our day! -
Eleanor Sent on 07/07/2018I contacted Feather and Twine at the recommendation of a wedding-planner friend of mine. I was feeling a little insecure about my "micro-wedding" that I was planning myself, but when I met with Kelsey and Talon they put me at ease. They had such clever suggestions and were so excited about the vision that I had that I left feeling much more confident. But I was still a little nervous about being the center of attention, as was my husband. Luckily, Kelsey convinced me to take advantage of the engagement shoot part of our package. We met Kelsey and Talon at one of our favorite bars in Austin where we spent a few hours basically laughing the entire time! Of course they were taking pictures, but it felt more like hanging out with friends and I think that set us up for being so much more relaxed on the day of our wedding. In fact, I remember leaving the shoot thinking, "I don't even care how the pictures come out. That was a blast!" But of course they came out great, as did the ones from our wedding. I could say something trite like "they captured such special moments" or "the way they use light is incredible", but I think the thing is that I was just really glad to have Kelsey and Talon be a part of our wedding. I trusted them both and I knew they would bring talent and creativity to our wedding, but we also had so much FUN with them! And I think those are the things that you look for in a partner, whether it be the person you spend the rest of your life with or your wedding photographers.

Ivy Sent on 12/13/2017Choosing Kelsey & Talon to photograph our wedding was one of the easiest, and possibly the best decision we made!! They were the first photographers I met with in person, and chatting over coffee I pretty much instantly knew they were the perfect fit :) Not only are their photographs absolutely STUNNING (there's no word that even does their work justice), but Kelsey and Talon just have this warm, enthusiastic yet calm energy about them that puts you right at ease, making for such natural photos!
How unique to have a married couple photography team, and I also love that they shoot in both film and digital. We did an engagement session and wedding day coverage. We just got our wedding gallery back, and I literally can't stop staring at them all. Hundreds of photos and each one is simply perfection. There's not a single photo I'm not in love with! I am blown away at how they captured each and every moment of our wedding, even sweet little candid moments between our other guests!
Feather & Twine -- you are simply amazing, keep being you! Thank you for the most wonderful photos of the best day ever. You captured it all beautifully, and we will cherish them forever. -

Maria Sent on 10/17/2017I first found Feather & Twine years ago, simply from seeing a beautiful featured picture of theirs and then following their blog and Instagram. I love photography and always followed lots of photographers from all over the world. When I got engaged in 2016, I knew it would be a longshot since they were based in Texas and my husband and I got married in CT, but I just had to contact them. I was so drawn to their images, their ability to edit digital right alongside their film pictures, and their friendly personalities. I was completely thrilled to find out they were in our budget and even their travel fee was reasonable. I'm sure some people thought we were a little crazy literally flying in my dream photographers for our wedding but it was SO worth it. They were able to do our engagement photos as well since they had a wedding in New York last fall and were able to just drive down to us. Once we got our engagement photos back, everyone who gave me a weird look about flying in a wedding vendor RAVED to me and said they totally understood why. Kelsey and Talon's work is not something you find every day, and it is BEYOND worth it- the money, the travel, anything. Worth it! Our engagement pictures came out STUNNING, I used them in our guest book and christmas cards and save the dates and will treasure them forever! On our wedding day, Kelsey and Talon were AMAZING. Kelsey even carried tissues for me all day because I kept happy crying and needed them! She helped keep me focused even when everyone was pulling me into a million directions the morning of, and kept me on track with our timeline. They were the perfect calm and happy energy you want with you on your big day. I am so grateful that we were able to have them at our wedding and I know I will love our wedding pictures just as much as our engagement pictures because their work is pure magic. Do not hesitate a second with hiring these two!

User3050333 Sent on 05/07/2017Kelsey and Talon are AMAZING human beings that made our engagement photos (a year ago) and our wedding day (April 2017) so enjoyable and fun! They are not only great photographers, but truly great people who walked up calmly through all parts of our wedding day.
Something I never realized is how huge a role the photographer plays into the actual day and the flow of your wedding. With Feather & Twine, I always felt like I was hanging out with old friends and having a great time. For anyone looking for a photographer, this is huge! You don’t want someone bossing you around or making things chaotic. Kelsey and Talon even make my husband feel comfortable taking pictures, which is a feat in itself!
On top of EVERYTHING, their photography style is absolutely stunning and exactly what I wanted captured on our wedding day. I can’t wait to see the final photos! If they’re anything like the engagements and the sneak peeks, they’re going to be awesome!!!!

Where to start, Kelsey and Talon are nothing short of AMAZING! They are consummate professionals, both incredibly kind and calm/flexible and not to mention talented. Kelsey is incredibly gifted in her ability to be a organizer of timeline, curator of event and shoots and artistic mastermind. She is incredibly professional and organized and thoughtful when it came to figuring out the timeline that worked best for my big day ( coordinated timing of shoots and actual ceremony that best worked with sunlight- our wedding was the first week of Daylight savings which was a task for all of our vendors to optimize timeline and lighting for optimal photography/video opportunities). She was honestly more helpful in ways beyond the scope of only a wedding photographer, she was truly more helpful in some things than our wedding coordinator. Both Kelsey and Talon are incredibly nice and accommodating. We did a traveling engagement shoot with them to Big Bend. It was not only fun to get to know them on a more personal level, but the photo were amazing from the trip! They had many artistic ideas to structure the shoot and knew the perfect nature backdrops that made for the most memorable photos. Kelsey was an absolute calming presence on the Big Day. I had a moment in the day where I was overwhelmed with my makeup look and was not feeling myself and found little to no comfort from my bridesmaids or mom, and it was actually Kelsey who was able to both calm and comfort me in my crazy day-of emotional roller coaster. She has a calming energy and is an advocate for her brides/couples and helped me make some last minute makeup changes that made me feel more comfortable on my wedding day that I was too timid/emotional to speak up about myself to the MUA. Kelsey has a grounding energy and I am forever grateful for her being there as what I would call a ‘friend’ role that day, in addition to her obvious role as my wedding photographer.
In regards to F+T’s work, it is nothing short of spectacular! They were able to capture so many candid moments as they truly were and with so much vibrant color, nothing get muted or overly tinted/filtered, which was important to me in my decision making process. They’re work is also both a mix of digital and film photography which is very unique and is just another thing that sets them apart from other photographers in the Austin/Hill Country wedding industry. I think you absolutely get what you pay for and it was worth every penny spent going with F+T.
