We are SO HAPPY we found the Royal Lahaina given we were planning a destination wedding and all of our guests were traveling from out of state. From the very beginning, Amy, our coordinator, had a way of making everything feel easy and effortless. She brought such a sense of calm to the planning process and made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel completely stress-free.

Amy handled everything...Booking vendors, communication, set-up, décor, and thoughtful suggestions along the way. On the wedding day, I felt zero stress and was able to simply enjoy every moment knowing she had it all under control.

The venue grounds are absolutely stunning, and the hotel’s partnered vendors were all incredible.

Sunya’s Florals – we didn’t meet our florist directly, but Amy provided them with photos of what we wanted and they delivered even better than we could have pictured. The florals were gorgeous and added so much to our ceremony and reception tables.

KCK Entertainment, DJ Chris – incredible! Truly no words. We sent him a Spotify playlist to give him an idea of music we liked and he ran with it. He was fun, energetic, a great MC, and kept the dance floor full all night long.

Kaena Music – the kindest human and so very talented. We actually happened to meet him at Monkeypod one evening a few months before the wedding. He was incredibly nice, and his music made our ceremony beautiful and emotional.

Amy herself is laid back, organized, and so willing to go above and beyond to make sure you get everything you’ve dreamed of. Our day turned out even better than we imagined, and we can’t recommend the Royal Lahaina (and Amy!) highly enough to anyone planning a wedding.

Amy Johnston was our planner and she was AMAZING! She answered any and all question quickly, respected our budget, never pushed any add ons, and made the planning process a breeze! She handled the booking of all our vendors, and coordinated with them on the wedding day. We were even able to have Ululani's Shave Ice at our reception! Come the weekend of our wedding, we met with Amy where she ran through all the specific details of our wedding day, made sure the timeline lined up with our photographer's. She was available for anything all weekend! On the day of our wedding, Amy delivered our flowers to the rooms and made sure the ceremony and reception were set up beautifully!! Everything went perfectly, and we contribute so much of that to Amy's careful planning and preparation. She made me feel so confident in the fact that everything would be taken care of! I highly recommend Royal Lahaina for your Hawaii wedding!!

Amy at Royal Lahaina Resort was phenomenal! Seriously cannot say enough good things. Amy was very prompt with all emails, extremely organized, thorough, professional, and made planning a destination wedding EASY!! She worked directly with the Caterer, Bakery, and Florist so I didn’t have to do a thing. She also booked my DJ and Hair and Makeup Artist. These all were her recommended vendors and they could not have been more on point! Seriously made my wedding like a fairy tale. Amy also had leftover wedding decorations from previous weddings we were able to use. Royal Lahaina Resort’s food was AMAZING. Our guests continue to rave about it. Lastly, the beach is perfect as it is much less crowded than Black Rock Beach next door while still having high quality sand and no sticks/debris.

Our daughter's wedding was held at the Royal Lahaina (Seaside Junior Suite) on January 8, 2021. We worked with Amy, Johnson, and despite the pandemic restrictions, etc. everything went perfectly. The ceremony site is a beautiful backdrop. The private lawn for the reception was absolutely perfect for our group of 16. Amy did a fantastic job coordinating everything from the first phone call, to the rehearsal, to the entire wedding day. She was calm, helpful and so easy to work with, and she did a beautiful job setting up all the decor for both the wedding and the reception dinner. It could not have been more beautiful or gone more smoothly. All of the food was fantastic, from the appetizers (pork sliders, caprese skewers and California rolls) to the entrees, to the beautiful cake. They were even able to accomodate our request for a gluten free cake, and the guests all said it was delicious. As good or better than a regular cake. The staff were all friendly and helpful the entire evening. We honestly couldn't have asked for anything better. It was an absolutely beautiful day from start to finish!!

My husband and I are from Los Angeles and recently got married at the Royal Lahaina Resort this past Saturday, Feb 22, 2020. We had 60 guests fly in with us from California and the staff, restaurants, luau, and, guest services at The Royal Lahaina Resort were flawless and so hospitable. It felt like a family, all of the staff were excited for us and were congratulating us both before and after our big day!

Amy Johnston was my wedding coordinator and she absolutely brought my vision to life. I first met Amy in early 2019 when I was scoping out wedding venues all over Maui. Once, I sat with Amy during our initial appointment I knew that our venue would be at The Royal Lahaina Resort. Everything you need is all in one place. The accommodations, food, entertainment, a stunning beach, whales breaching and swimming just off the shores of the resort, a beautiful wedding location, and, most of all an amazing coordinator, Amy!

As a bride planning a wedding for 60 guests, I was meticulous in planning a great experience for my family and friends who flew 2,000+ miles to share this special day with us. I sent Amy an insane amount of emails and questions and she was so gracious and helpful and answered all of my questions promptly and professionally.

One of the moments I remembered most was when I was getting my hair and makeup done and Amy brought up our bouquets to our suite. They were stunning and absolutely exceeded the examples that I sent her during our emails back-and-forth. From there, everything that followed exceeded anything I could have ever envisioned. Our officiant, our Hawaiian musician, the ceremony, reception, food and drinks were perfect!! To top it off we had an amazing fire show to put an exclamation point on the magical night.

The hotel staff, and, Amy were exceptional and took my vision to the next level. Everything that I wanted, Amy made into reality in a way that I couldn't have ever imagined. It truly was a magical day and it was made possible by the great venue and Amy!

We could not have had a more perfect experience. We were married on 02/01/2020 and planned our destination wedding without a lot of lead time.
Bailey was our wedding coordinator and made everything seem so simple. She scheduled my hair and makeup and came to my room to pick me up and take me and drop me off.
Literally every detail was “already handled” and she handled last minute changes with grace and ease. Our guests commented on how professional she was.

The Royal Lahaina Resort was the perfect location for our destination wedding in Maui! We got married on 12/15/19 and our wedding coordinator was Bailey Reid. I am a Lutheran Pastor from Springfield, MO. In December 2019 I had the incredible blessing to conduct the wedding for an incredible couple, Zach and Brianne. I have known them for 13 years. As you can imagine, it was a wonderful blessing for me -- beautiful couple, beautiful place, a wedding in paradise! But beyond the obvious blessing, was the absolute excellence of our wedding coordinator, Bailey, and the Royal LaHaina. I cannot say enough. Bailey was incredible to the couple and their guests. She was incredible to me! She put me at ease. She made me feel like part of the team. And she helped me in conducting the wedding in a lovely, meaningful way. If you are considering a destination wedding in Hawaii, I would highly recommend the Royal LaHaina and asking Bailey to be your coordinator.

Our wedding was so great! We and all the guests had a great time! We wish we could do it all over again. Bailey Reid was our coordinator and she was so easy to work with and really went out of her way to make things easy and beautiful. I could not recommend her more... She was the absolute best. And, the venue was so beautiful.. we didn't need to have so many decorations because the venue was already amazing. Thank you for everything.

My husband and I got married at the royal Laheina resort 8/31/19 just a couple weeks ago. We loved everything about our venue. It was right off the beach but in their lawn area so we were still closed off from the public. We had a sunset ceremony with an impeccable view. Emily Finnegan was my coordinator she was amazing to work with. She always made sure to address any concerns and promptly take care of any changes I made. She was so calm and collected the day of and even stayed the entire event to make sure everything went accordingly. She even helped arrange a luau for us and all our guests the following day at the resort. Our musician was great and so was the officiant. Everyone made sure to make us feel cared for on our special day. This is a great place for a destination wedding at a reasonable price. Everything will be magical. Definitely will recommend to anyone.

The Royal Lahaina is a local hotel on beautiful Kaanapali Beach, Maui that is a great location for a beach wedding! My wedding coordinator Emily Finnegan made booking and planning a wedding from afar super chill and it was perfect. I suggest booking a package that fits your budget (or under) and then can add extras, like opting for more/different flowers and having your makeup and hair done in your room.
My wedding party was able to walk down the path and have our nails done the day before the wedding which was super convenient.
I wanted a small wedding without a reception, just a intimate dinner in their onsite Ocean Terrace Restaurant, and she made that happen! The food was delicious and everything couldn't have been better!

If you are considering a wedding at Royal Lahaina book it today! Pricing is so incredibly reasonable for Maui especially when you consider the level of service, detail and care the coordinators put into the weddings. Their reasonable prices allowed us to upgrade a lot of things like our canopy flowers, chairs, and the LED dance floor (which is one of the coolest things I have ever seen at a wedding). They also have some complimentary décor items available for use.

I was so thankful to have Amy guiding me through the process and gracefully dealing with a million emails from me. The Royal Lahaina wedding team KNOWS what they are doing and you will not have to worry about a thing! I woke up on my wedding day completely calm because I knew my special day was in good hands.
The ceremony space could not be more stunning. I may be a little biased but I think it was the most beautiful ceremony I have ever seen. As a special bonus we had whales playing in the water during our first look which I took as a blessing on our marriage! The Hale Piilane room is the perfect private indoor-outdoor reception space. The views of Molokai and Lanai during sunset were spectacular and unreal.

We recently got married at the Royal Lahaina and it was a wonderful experience. Our friends and family told us that it was the best wedding they've ever been to because the venue was perfect, the food was great, and the staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Amy was our planner and was incredibly supportive, flexible and relaxed. She worked with us to make the day magical. We were lucky to be able to meet with her before the wedding to view the different locations on the property. She was very accommodating and didn't mind our changes throughout the process. She is very organized and took out all of the stress with wedding planning. We were able to relax and focus on the fun details. The day went very smoothly and it was more beautiful than I imagined! We were on the Villas Lawn, which was very private. I would highly recommend the venue and Amy.

We worked with Amy Johnston at Royal Lahaina to plan our wedding for 60 guests. She was amazing to work with! She was responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and organized. My husband and I had had never been to Maui so we were a little nervous about planning and organizing everything from afar, especially when we did not know the area. Amy eased our minds every step of the way. Her experience really showed throughout every moment of communication. And man, the scenery was PERFECT! It was very private yet spacious enough to comfortably fit all of our guests. We had the most beautiful view of the beach and ocean in all of our photos which was priceless. Amy helped us bring the wedding of our dreams to life and we will forever be grateful for the memories we created at Royal Lahaina.

My husband and I truly had the wedding of our dreams thanks to Amy Johnston and her fabulous team at The Royal Lahaina. Every one of our guests cannot stop talking about how unbelievable the whole thing was! Amy made planning a breeze and took care of every last detail, leaving me a stress-free bride. All the vendors were beyond great. I was nervous as I had never met a single one of them until the day of my wedding, but I was blown away with every aspect of the day! The food was exceptional (which most wedding food isn't if you ask me), the wedding cake was unique and delicious, the DJ kept the whole reception dancing the entire night, the celebrant was perfection and the photographer... WOW! The location is picture perfect and the resort itself is such a nice place to vacation. If there was any downfall at all it would be that a few of my guests had some difficulty with their room reservations. In then end, that all got sorted out relatively easily. All in all, if you are looking for a destination wedding in Maui, The Royal Lahaina will not disappoint.

Booking our wedding at the Royal Lahaina was one of our best decisions; we had nothing but the best experience at the Royal Lahaina! You cannot beat the beautiful views, especially sunset after the ceremony and all the wonderful staff at the Royal Lahaina, especially Karlie! Karlie was our wedding planner and made the wedding planning less stressful for us. Karlie was quick in responding back to our emails and answered numerous questions we had. She also provided us a list of vendors they used, which made it a lot easier to choose from and she explained things with ease. Karlie made our dream wedding a reality!

Our officiate, Laki, was hilarious during the ceremony. I loved how different he officiated the wedding and made everyone comfortable and laughing. All of our guests can’t stop talking about him!

DJ Dan & Kaniala were great! Our guest like having Kaniala playing the Ukulele before and after the ceremony as it gave it the Hawaiian touch. DJ Dan played the music we like and kept everyone on the dance floor.

Jessica Pearl was our photographer and LOVED how all the photos turned out! She captured every moment of our wedding.

HiFocused was our cinematographer and LOVED how our video turned out. Jordan and Jessica worked together in making sure they got each shot of our wedding.

Ululani’s Shaved Ice was the talk of our wedding! Instead of having wedding cake for our guests, we opted for shaved ice! Our guests couldn't get enough of the shaved ice and there was always a line!

I can go on and on about my experience with Karlie and the Royal Lahiana but trust me, you will not regret any of it! The wedding came out beautiful. We are so thankful for Karlie and the Royal Lahaina staff for making our special day memorable and remarkable!

We got married on April 22, 2017. We had our ceremony and reception at this resort. Amy Johnson was the best wedding coordinator ever! She was always available to answer and address all our concerns and questions from the beginning we started planning our wedding! She was very calm and very composed that she made everything stress-free for us! She and her team were always quick to respond to all our emails!
Ceremony was beautiful, meaningful and memorable! Bride and bridesmaids bouquets, beautiful! Pastor Laki was great and funny!! Just amazing beach sunset view!!! We even saw a rainbow after we exchanged vows!
We were very happy on how everything work out! It was raining the first few days we arrived to Maui we were concerned that it might rain on our big day! But we loved it that they had a back up location plan!
You can't control the weather and though it didn't really rain on our wedding day, just having that peace of mind is so worth it! We're glad that we decided on the room on the oceanfront lawn! We appreciate Amy and the entire staff for all their hard work on setting up our reception area! All the details we wanted on the tables and centerpieces were perfectly placed! Our DJ was the best! Everything was perfect timing! He got everyone's attention! Everyone danced! Our guests enjoyed the hors d'oeuvre, food and dessert and our CAKE were spectacular!
We highly recommend Royal Lahaina Resort for your wedding! And we even recommend that you stay on one of the beach cottages when in Maui!

Booking the Royal Lahaina Resort for our destination wedding was one of the best decisions we have ever made as a couple. The resort itself is is so beautiful and the staff is very friendly, especially to newlyweds! The best part about booking Royal Lahaina Resort for our wedding was the treat of getting set-up with our all star wedding coordinator Kira Carlton! I cannot speak highly enough about her but I will try. We began communication approximately 8 months before our big day and she held my hand every step of the way. She promptly returned my emails with enthusiasm and thoroughly explained all details and options in a way I understood. On the day of the wedding she was incredible! She set up all of our wedding decor beautifully and even more importantly she kept our schedule of events right on track so we had adequate time to fit in all dances, speeches, toasts etc. flowing. All of our guests adored Kira Carlton and say she felt more like a great friend than a coordinator because she was so personable while being so efficient. I am sure all wedding coordinators at Royal Lahaina Resort are wonderful but I cannot imagine our big day without Kira. The Royal Lahaina Resort and any future bride is extremely lucky to have her!

My husband and I had an absolutely amazing experience for our wedding ceremony & reception at the Royal Lahaina! We had stayed there three times prior to this stay and really loved the resort so we decided to have our wedding there and we were not disappointed. We dealt with Kira, one of the event coordinators, and she was wonderful to work with. From the very start of our communication to the very end everything went so smoothly and she was a pleasure to work with. Once we arrived at the resort there really wasn't much we had to do. Everything was taken care of for us which was really nice because it allowed us to spend time with our guests and really enjoy our time in Maui. We really loved everything about the day, from the decor & flowers, the minister, the musician and the photographer, everything was perfect. We had our reception at the hotel restaurant and we certainly do not have any complaints there either. The food, beverage and service was excellent. The hotel service and accommodations were wonderful as well. I know our guests had a really great time which was very important to us as they all traveled far to celebrate this day with us. Thanks to Kira and everyone else that played a part in our big day it truly was the perfect day for us and we will never forget it. We will definitely be back to celebrate an anniversary or two.

The Resort was absolutely fabulous in all aspects of wedding: Booking room choices, Wedding Coordinator, Flower bouquets and boutonnieres, Table Centerpieces, Cake, Serving Staff and bartenders, Reception Meal and food choices, Photographer, Ceremony Officiant, and our individual requests. Everything exceeded all expectations!

I hosted my dream wedding at the Royal Lahaina on June 18, 2016 with a guest count of 30 people. We fly in from California and stayed at the resort for 10 days.

Geraldine in romance department was my wedding coordinator and she was amazing! She was attentive, organized, talented and made my wedding perfect! She brought my wedding vision to life and I couldn't be more grateful for Geraldine!

I planned my wedding for a little over a year and sent Geraldine probably over 100 emails and she responded in a prompt manor and never seemed bothered. She is truly a very special person and my wedding night was the most magical night of my life!

Lakki was my officiant and he was hilarious during the ceremony. He made everyone feel comfortable and brought true love and joy to our ceremony!

Chris was absolutely amazing, the photography couldn't not have been better! He captured every moment of our wedding and made the pictures so special.

DJ Dan Maui and Kalo were great too! They brought the beats and the positive vibes to our wedding.

Everything was extremely easy to plan with the great staff! Kira allowed me to plan my entire wedding via e-mail with absolutely zero worries. This was the best experience I could have asked for! This resort is wonderful and just as great as the more expensive locations on Maui. Geraldine was fabulous and so accommodating. The venue looked gorgeous the day of. The flowers, cake, musician and grounds were of high quality and beautiful!

The location was ideal and everything we were hoping for and more. Kira was on top every detail and very attentive throughout our experience. Kira gave me a happy and relaxed bride. I had the most amazing experience at the Royal Lahaina Reaort for my wedding ceremony and reception. I had an intimate wedding of 20 people on their private lawn next to the beach. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. All of my guests complimented me on the beautiful location and delicious menu. The wedding coordinators are hands down the best!! I called/ emailed so many resorts in Maui for my wedding, and the coordinators at the Royal Lahaina Resort were by far the most responsive . I would immediately hear back from them, and they were so incredibly patient and helpful with my laundry list of questions! Kira was my coordinator and she literally made my wedding experience! I can truthfully say that I do not think I would have had such a smooth, beautiful wedding with out her patience and hard work. She is so enthusiastic and up-beat which is the kind of personality you want around you during your wedding experience. If you're getting married in Maui, the Royal Lahaina Resort is the way to go!!

Amy Johnston is absolutely amazing! Geraldine has also helped us over the phone (and was great too) but we mostly had contact with Amy. We live in CA and planned our Maui wedding with very little stress...Amy took care of it all! She was very accommodating to our requests and wishes, and helped run our wedding (before and after!) efficiently and smoothly! The food was great, the entertainment was great, and they even helped us with the "little things" we incorporated into our wedding. We highly recommend RLH and Amy!

What can I say, The Royal Lahaina thought of everything, but it was Amy in the romance center who was MY everything. She handled everything with ease. What a joy to work with. I can't rave enough about how attentive she was to every detail. Her email responses were always very timely.

The resort accommodated most of my 70 guest that attended our wedding on the property. They all really enjoyed their rooms, the property, and everything it had to offer.

We would totally stay here again.

Hosted a destination wedding for my daughter and her sweetheart at the Royal Lahaina Resort last week. It was the most amazing location - gorgeous beach, beautiful rooms, excellent service, onsite workout classes free to guests, great restaurants both in the resort, and more walking distance close - just a walk down the beach. We hosted the rehearsal dinner at the luau onsite which was great and a perfect way to get the party started! Having a wedding here was stress free thanks to an amazing wedding coordinator, Geraldine. We just showed up and had a perfect celebration week! She took care of every detail for us. Room rates for wedding guests here are very reasonable too! I highly recommend this slice of paradise. It far exceeded my hopes and was a perfect gathering place for a celebration!

Got married at The Royal Lahaina in May. Stayed for a week along with the family and some friends. The wedding arrangement was well planned and we enjoyed every minute and didn't have to worry about anything! The ceremony was very special and something we and the ones that were with us will remember forever. The view of the ocean was spectacular, it was really the our Hawaiian dream wedding. It was even beyond our expectations.

We recently had on wedding at The Royal Lahaina Resort. Our coordinator was Geraldine and she was AWESOME!! She went above and beyond to help us plan our perfect wedding. We were upgraded to a suite and the room was BEAUTIFUL. Everyone at the resort is friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this resort!!!!

The main purpose of this trip was to host our Wedding. Our wedding coordinator was Geraldine and she was awesome, every detail was carried out perfectly as discussed. The location of the resort was considered "prime" with direct access to the beach. They even have a green trolley that was complimentary that takes you to Whaler's Village which would save you at least 20 mins walking time along the beach. The rooms were updated and very nice there's no resort fee and the daily parking was $10/day. We would definitely have no problem staying there again.

This venue was excellent, everything was organised for us by the wedding planner, Amy. The whole event was perfect and and the location was stunning. The wedding ceremony and reception exceeded my expectations and I wouldn't have changed anything. For anyone getting married in Maui, I would recommend the Royal Lahaina Resort for a beautiful and stress free event.

My husband and I not only got married here but stayed here for our honeymoon. We were here for two weeks and couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. We went through their romance department for our coordinating services which are amazing! Geraldine made sure we had everything we needed for our big day! Everything from my flowers to my cake and from the music to the food, everything was spot on! The service here is just exceptional! We loved our garden view room in the tower and really felt like we were on a Hawaiian honeymoon! Thank you, Royal Lahaina!!

Our wedding at the resort went perfectly! We held our wedding and reception on the cottage lawn. it was intimate and beautiful, Geraldine did an amazing job interpreting all of my ideas down to every little detail. She was an amazing help and would highly recommend her as a planner!

We were married on the oceanfront lawn on 9.10.11 at sunset. We had the ceremony and reception on this lawn and it was fantastic! The view is amazing, the people are professional, the food is delicious and all our guests had a wonderful time. I worked with Geraldine at the Romance Center for about two years of planning (not necessary but just happened this way for me) and wouldn't change a single thing about the day. I never even had been to Hawaii and didn't fly into Maui until four days prior to the wedding, planned everything through email/phone. The resort offers great service overall and our the suite we scored on an upgrade had the most fabulous view! I would definitely recommend this resort!

My Husband and I were just married at the Royal Lahaina two weeks ago and it was the most incredible day of our lives. we had a lower budget wedding with only 18 people total. I wanted a super intimate wedding with the closest people and all of the fun. looking back on the ten moths of planning I would say my only complaint was that I felt passed around by the coordinators, I spoke with 4 different people and sometimes felt it was because of the amount of money I was spending. once arriving at the Royal Lahaina all of those feelings went away. The coordinator that actually ended up handling our wedding was Amy Johnston and she wax incredible. She had notes on every single thing I had discussed with the other coordinators, she answered all of my questions and all f our families million questions. she was incredible helpful. the day of the wedding I was fully aware I probably wasn't as organised as I should have been but Amy handled it all !! she made the day worry and stress free for me, just how it should be. Just before walking down the isle I realised I had forgotten all the jewellery that I planned on wearing and my garter that my grandma had passed down to me. Amy managed to find it all in the mess of all our stuff from getting ready. THANK YOU AMY !. The food was amazing, incredible accomodation and Chris from Photo Hawaii was out of this world. he caught every moment of the day.. there was not one picture I didn't like and YES I already have all of our pictures, I had them within a week :)

Everything about the Royal Lahaina was amazing! Our wedding was overlooking the ocean on beautiful grass. We have the most beautiful pictures! Our planner took care of everything, flowers, music, food, etc. which made it super easy on us. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a stress free absolutely gorgeous wedding. As far as the rating for responsiveness, its Hawaii, I think that 4.5 is the best you can get.

Amy and Geraldine were amazing! I highly recommend getting married at the Royal Lahaina Resort, not just for the venue's beauty, but mostly for having Geraldine and Amy as wedding planners. They are wonderful at what they do and they help you hire the warmest and most talented vendors. The food was amazing, the view was spectacular and honestly, my wedding was so much better than anything I dreamed of. It was absolutely perfect. Geraldine and Amy responds so quickly and really does help you plan the best wedding with your budget and vision. The staff and the vendors made us feel like we've known them forever. They made us feel like they were our closest friends. From the emails back and forth, to the planning, to the villas lawn venue overlooking the ocean, to the food, decorations, DJ, Hawaiian dancer, photographer, videographer, to the champagne and flowers in our room after our wedding everything was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding.

The Royal Lahaina was an absolutely wonderful place to have our wedding, and we would do it all over again! Amy, our day-of coordinator and contact at the hotel, was wonderful to work with and kept in touch throughout the build-up to the wedding. She is very laid back and worked with all of our requests. They have a script/timeline/outline they use for a lot of weddings, but uou are able to customize a LOT of things so don't be afraid to ask. The venue is absolutely beautiful, we had minimal decorations but no one missed them with the ocean and beautiful flowers already growing there. We had 60 total people at the wedding and were able to fit everyone outside with the dance floor. Scott, our DJ with Maui DJ Services, was amazing and I highly recommend him for any event in Maui. Our photographer, Lauren Dixon, was also incredible and captured the night perfectly. The guests also raved about the appetizers and buffet food, which we chose without tasting beforehand (parmesan crusted fish & roast beef).

The hotel itself was also perfect. It's not a super fancy hotel (like a four seasons or like some of the hotels in Kihei), but it's beautiful with an excellent location on the beach, and it was perfect for our relaxed, bohemian-type theme and for our laid back guests.

The only comment/complaint I received from guests is that the drinks weren't very strong. However, we served beer and wine as well, so it wasn't a huge deal.

I worked with Geraldine for my wedding about 5 months before the wedding, and she made sure that everything was perfect for our wedding day. We communicated through email 90% of the time, and she was very flexible with the "demands" that I had for the wedding. The time difference from east coast USA and Hawaii also worked out in our favor, so I could call her late at night. She also works some Saturdays/Sundays (she answered my emails on the weekend on occasion). Since our wedding was going to be a very small, Geraldine worked with me to put together a package that had everything we wanted - we had an ocean front ceremony location on the hotel grounds (semi-private), an officiate (we chose religious, but he could have done a non-denominational service), flowers for the bride/groom and the family (we did pay extra for this), a small wedding cake (decorated however you desired) and champagne for the toasting. Geraldine also set up the appointment for the marriage license (and was even able to change it twice to accommodate our vacation plans!).

Overall, everything was taken cared of and we had absolutely nothing to worry about - other than making it to Maui and having everything for the wedding. She met with us and our families the day before the wedding to go through a quick rehearsal for the wedding and answered all of our questions with ease and humor. We had a few props for the wedding (NFL Football as our guest book and football jerseys for our wedding photos) that she took care of the day before and it was ready for us after the ceremony.

She also made sure that there were orchids laid out on our hotel room/bed for our return to the room - it's the little details that make the difference! This was the most care-free and worry-free wedding planning ever! The Royal Lahaina Resort also offers a military discount - which was extremely helpful as well.

After deciding to have destination wedding, the endless research began. After deciding on Hawaii, I wasn't sure if Maui would be in our budget. After "googling" various Maui hotel wedding website, I came across the Royal Lahaina Resort and was pleasantly surprised by their room rates and wedding packages. I requested additional information from their wedding coordinators and was assigned to Amy Johnston. She was very quick to respond and provided me all additional information I request. After receiving the wedding package information, and comparing the various venues we decided to book the Royal Lahaina Resort for our ceremony and reception. We liked the group rates offered by the Royal Lahaina Resort that our 50 guest could utilize. Amy was a pleasure to work with. She was very patient with me, as I know I am guilty of sometimes being indecisive. We paid a small initial deposit and the remaining balance was due 45 days prior to the wedding as well as the menu selection. Amy was always very accommodating and flexible. We communicated mostly by email back and forth, and I sent her numerous pictures and she did a great job keeping me updated. She is very organized and I loved the estimate spreadsheet documents she provided. We communicated back and forth for over a year, and days before our wedding when we arrived in Hawaii she was still a pleasure to work with. Upon arriving to Hawaii, Amy and her other coordinator Kira (i think thats her name?), walked us through the process and ceremony and receptions areas and went over what to expect. I was a very organized bride myself and I brought some personal touches of my own, but they definitely brought my vision to life with their additional suggestions and decorations. Our wedding was great, all our guest enjoyed themselves and it was truly a night to remember.So glad I stumbled upon the Royal Lahaina Resort because it is definitely a diamond in the rough.

Our whole expierience was amazing!!!! From the first phone call, to the last email 2 months after the ceremony, was perfect! Our coordinator Geraldine was pleasant, helpful, and made the whole expierience perfect. The grounds and view were gorgeous ,amazing and intimate setting, every detail was precise and the coordinator strived to deliver and accommodate your every wish and desire, beautiful music and flowers, professional and friendly staff that was helpful with the set up and delivery of the ceremony...........Couples should know that no commericial photography is permitted on that beach so its not a shock, but note, that at least with our photographer, that did not matter and actually was more enjoyable, to catch a more intimate picture from afar instead of someone in our face. Thank you again Royal Lahaina for giving us the most memorable and perfect wedding. We couldn't have asked for anything better

Excellent service. Wedding planner responded quickly to emails. The location and scenery was breathtaking. All venders recommended were top notch from reception music to photography. Loved the entire day!

We got married here on June 25th, 2016 and our wedding coordinator was Kira and she was amazing. Their all-inclusive package that we got was WELL worth it. Kira worked closely with me and was very responsive to my questions. She and the Royal Lahaina team definitely took a lot of weight off my shoulders. They helped make my Hawaiian paradise wedding a reality.

This could not have gone more smoothly! This truly was the wedding of our dreams and then some!

Kira was AMAZING to work with, she was on top of everything and we didnt have to worry about anything.

The flowers turned out better than expected, and the cake tasted amazing!!!

The venue was gorgeous with being on the grass, but only a few steps away from the beach.

It is totally worth it to pay a little extra for all the photos and the additional hour for a photographer

A little bit of advice I would give would be that ask what the minister is like before hand, like personality wise. Ours was pretty great, but he wasn't very personal and he didn't know how to say our new last name so he just skipped that part and we had to say it.

I was extremely happy with the Royal Lahaina Resort and our wedding coordinators. During this stressful time they did their best to alleviate the stress and any concerns. Even with the prospect of rain they provided other options in the event of rain on our wedding day. I am a very organized person and after giving some direction to our coordinator on how I wanted things, she was able to execute and put everything together to my approval and even exceed it. Also very friendly and adaptable to the brides' needs.

A beautiful location for a destination wedding! Our guests were absolutely over the moon about this resort. Perfect for families and fun, but nothing like a stateside resort. We loved it so much because it was different than anything we’ve seen venue wise. It’s traditional and quaint, with outstanding rooms and views. I wouldn’t change anything about our experience. We were a little concerned about some of the events of the wedding day, some things didn’t go as planned and the coordinator didn’t communicate as well as we hoped the day of. However the planning leading up to the wedding day was painless and easy.
