Best Photographers in the Rochester and surrounding areas!

Mike ross and Rebecca Smart are phenomenal photographers that have been in the business for years! They seriously are the best in the business! My husband and I cannot say enough about them!! If you want beyond beautiful images that you will cherish for a lifetime, you can't go wrong with Ross Studios!

I can't speak highly enough about Ross and his wife, Becky. They are extremely professional, punctual and talented. They always remained calm when things got a little busy. They both have a real eye and are sure to leave you stunned with their final product. We can't wait to get back our wedding pictures! Our entire family and all our friends raved about Ross Weddings. I recommend them to anyone looking to preserve their memories in an extremely artistic way!

Michael Ross was incredible! From our engagements photos to our wedding, he was an absolute pleasure to work with! He made sure he got all the possible shots and more! Michael made us feel so comfortable and never made a single pose feel awkward or staged. He helped us find beautiful locations everywhere we took pictures and I cannot wait to see all the amazing shots he took. I seriously could not have imagined using any other photographer! Thank you Michael! We would not have wanted anyone else to capture our wedding day!

Michael Ross is the best! Easy and FUN to work with! Accommodating in every way. From the pre wedding meeting right through seeing the finished photos the experience couldnt have been better. Amazing talent! This is our second daughter's wedding and once again Michael did a fabulous job. We love the creative touches. We will defnitely call for family photos, baby photos or whatever we need in the future. Thanks again for helping make the day perfect and for capturing it perfectly for our memories!

The Ross' were absolutely amazing. From our first meeting to picking up our photos, they always were punctual and responsive. They worked within our budget and provided excellent service. They listened to us with true attentiveness and treated us with respect. We didn't think we wanted engagement photos but he explained it was a chance for us all to get to know each other and become comfortable and it really did just that. It was nice to have that time outside of the wedding to get to know how it would work, what we'd need to do, and generally who the Ross were. They even had tips for us about booking photo sites and rainy day backups, things we might not have thought of ourselves.
I had never thought about 2 photographers but I will now always recommend it. They kept the formal pictures moving along without long pauses and they were like ninjas at my reception and ceremony; I don't feel like I even saw them that much, and yet when I got my pictures, they had captured it all! Even my family mentioned how friendly the photographers were and how easy it was to get them to take family pictures or anything they requested.
Once I got my pictures I was thrilled. It was all there, ready and easy for me to access off of the CDs. The book and photos I got along with the CDs were beautiful and truly top quality. Everything was thoroughly edited but nothing was overworked. It all just looked so natural and beautiful.
I've heard horror stories about photographers ruining weddings, but my story is the opposite. Ross preserved one of the greatest days of my life in every little detail and moment and I will now have those memories to look back on with me forever.

We loved working with Michael Ross! He put us at ease and made us comfortable throughout the whole wedding day and process. When he showed up the day of the wedding he immediately started moving furniture, sweeping the floor and taking control. He made the best of our extremely windy day and spent lots of time editing our pictures so nothing looked too out of place!

Ross photography was great to work with. Our pictures on our wedding day are fantastic! My husband even enjoyed his photography style. Nothing is overly posed and he tries to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. (Like trying to keep you out of the sun if it's hot out). Everything thing went smoothly and the second photographer was great to work with too! I would highly recommend Ross Weddings, professional, artistic, fun and easy to work with! -Thank you, one very happy bride!

Mike Ross has truly been a godsend. Not only did he agree to come to Maine to photograph our engagement shoot. He even met us out before sunrise and ended up be quite flexible with our location requests. He was patient and most importantly, worked with us in a way that felt natural to us as a couple. He also kept my fiance's smile genuine throughout the entire shoot because he's super hysterical. I cannot wait to see what he produces and am so honored to have Ross Weddings with us next June as well for our big day.

We were very picky when it came to looking for a photographer for our wedding, so we were thrilled when we came across Ross Weddings. Originally, my husband and I had thought about not having a photographer and just depending on our guests to take pics with their phones (spoiler: it's not a great plan. There won't be enough photos to make you happy). Anyways, I met Michael Ross at a wedding convention and he emailed me a couple weeks after to follow up. At that point, I reconsidered and decided that I did, in fact, want a photographer. I have absolutely not regrets. From the beginning, Michael was incredibly helpful and basically planned my wedding for me. He gave great suggestions and was a pleasure to work with. His costs are incredibly reasonable and are a great value. On the day of the wedding, I had absolutely no worries about how the photos would turn out. Everyone at my wedding commented on how great my photographers were, which is strange because I feel like people don't usually pay close attention to them. Once the wedding was over, my pictures were completed very quickly. I cannot believe how perfect they are. They captured every moment beautifully. I look through the photos all the time and can't get enough of them. They gave us some coaching during the pictures and even when the poses felt weird they convinced us that it would look great. Those pictures were the best! Overall, I made a great call by hiring them. They took my day to the next level. I wish I could have another wedding just so could work with them again!

My husband and I are so happy and thankful we had Ross Weddings capture our wedding day! Our pictures turned out so beautiful, everyone we show are in awe with how amazing they turned out. I really can't say enough good things about Ross Photography. The communication before hand was quick and easy and helped make me more excited about my big day. Once he day arrived, the team walked in like we were old friends and took off. You could see their excitement to be there and passion for what they do. It made me feel so much more at ease throughout the day and while having my photos taken. Mike even picked up a Hagrid doll I had brought along for good luck and took pictures with him throughout the day. I have not seen my photos yet, as my wedding was only a month ago, but I feel very confident Mike's skills and passion will be seen in the end product as well!

These photographers are themselves a husband and wife team which makes them unique in the Rochester community. Being married themselves, Michael and Becky complement each other's talents by making each other's weaknesses their strengths, so you really do get the best from these two!

What no one tells you on your wedding day, is the people who you spend the most time with besides your new bride or groom are the photographers. Because of Michael and Becky's easygoing personalities, ability to read "family situations," and genuine friendliness, our wedding day was so enjoyable.

Michael and Becky's photographs are also all beautifully edited. The time they spend with every single photo you receive is truly a Godsend. My husband ended up getting a little sunburn on his face -- every single photo was retouched! I'm sure that in 20 years we won't even remember that my husband had a sunburn.

The angles and ideas they had for photos were wonderful and original, but if you had any ideas of your own, they went with it and encouraged you!

I really couldn't have asked for better wedding photographers. Spending time with them on our wedding day was so much fun. We were tired, but they kept us going and smiling all day and into the night for the reception!

Another great thing is they aren't afraid to travel to destinations! We had our wedding at Jekyll Island, Georgia. They traveled there and stayed for the weekend with our wedding party. We still feel price-wise we received an amazing deal and never even thought to look at photographers in Georgia, because once we met Michael and Becky, we just felt at ease with their abilities and passion for taking amazing photos!

Ross Weddings provided both amazing wedding and engagement photos for our wedding day. On top of the great photos, they were fun to take pictures with and made the day run smoothly. Michael Ross and his team were amazing. They had tons of ideas for pictures, were flexible and so easy to work with- they made us feel at ease and made posing for shots so much fun! They were a great asset to our whole day, got along with everyone, were involved and always checked in with us throughout the day to make sure we were satisfied. Our pictures came out breathtaking!! I felt pictures and video were the most important things to remember the wedding by for years to come, besides my wonderful husband! Michael and his assistant were amazing! They captured so many amazing moments and memories both candid and traditional on our wedding day. They took the lead with arranging and photographing the more formal, traditional shots at the church and our photos came out great! They captured the essence of the day in their candid shots without us even knowing they were there. Michael is very personable and has some wonderful ideas and suggestions for photo opportunities. My husband and I love looking at our wedding album that we were able to customize. We just looked at it again last week! I definitely would recommend Ross weddings for any special occasion!

Our wedding photographs turned out absolutely stunning!! Christian and Becky are both unbelievably talented. We wanted photographers that we would enjoy hanging out with all day and they definitely fit the bill. They knew how to capture everything that we wanted plus more. We had a great balance between the formal wedding/ posing pictures and candids. Michael was also very helpful in the pre and post wedding process and a wealth of knowledge. Everyone on the Ross team was very helpful and flexible. We would absolutely recommend Ross Weddings to anyone and everyone.

Michael and his cousin Christian photographed our wedding. They were great and a pleasure to work with and have as part of our day. From our first meeting with Michael we knew he would be great for us. I highly recommend thier services to anyone considering them. They have a friendly professionalism that shows in thier work. Parents, wedding party, and guests agreed all day people came up to us and said things about how hard the photogaphers were working and how nice they were. Weddings are such an emotional event. Especially, when it comes to receiving your images. Michael really captured our wedding day with such detail. Today, as we look through our images it is great to recall the moments we often miss happening in the height of the moment. We loved his work. One thing in particular that stood out was, while the wedding and reception were happening we did not realize he was there. But, when we received our images we knew he caught every moment and stayed until the last minute of the night. I think this was important, he wasn't at all intrusive and got what we wanted at the same time.

Michael and Becky Ross did a fantastic job and really produced some beautiful photographs from before and during our wedding. Michael was the first vendor I booked, and he was very helpful as we planned the wedding as he has photographed at so many venues. Michael and Becky were extremely flexible with meeting times and locations prior to the ceremony, were able to capture all the shots we wanted, and took pictures all night long that turned out amazing! If you're a bride looking for incredible keepsakes of your special day, I definitely recommend Ross Weddings!

A few of our friends recommended Michael Ross when we were looking for a photographer for our wedding. He is extremely personable and his prices are very reasonable. We were very happy with our experience with him the day of our wedding. We also chose to get an album through him and it came out beautifully. We will absolutely be recommending him to others in the future

Michael did an excellent job fitting us into his schedule on relatively short notice. He appeared for our pre wedding meeting and was extremely laid back and willing to answer all of our questions. On our wedding day, he showed up with his assistant photographer and they both went to work right away. Everyone loved them and commented on the great photographers that we had hired. Although I have not yet received their photos, I am extremely excited to see what is in store. I would highly recommend Ross Weddings to all of my friends.

Michael Ross is a wonderful photographer. He is professional, personable, and he just felt like a guest. He brought a 2nd, Rebecca, who also did her work wonderfully. They never ran out of ideas for poses and always had good things to say about the photos and framing. He inspired confidence in his work the entire time he was there and he had nothing but compliments on our wedding. The photos came back and they were High Quality photos. We couldn't ask for any better. His prices were actually pretty low for the level of skill he brought to the table. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation knowing that he will do everything he can to capture the memories (ones that you didn't even know happened).

Michael and his team are extremely professional and do a great job of capturing the moment! We are extremely pleased with our engagement and wedding photos and would recommend Ross Weddings to anyone!

Ross Weddings delivered a wonderful finished product, however the level of responsiveness prior to the wedding left me with several unresolved questions that affected to organization of the actual wedding day photography. He had an assistant to get extra shots, was very flexible throughout the big day, and got spectacular shots in a very dim, hard-to-photograph venue (Artisan Works). He was willing to negotiate on the package price since he was my high school art teacher. He has this great ability to diffuse stressful situations and is fun to be around. He delivered 400+ photos, most of which are beautiful!!!

However, there was a miscommunication with the time of the engagement session and we waited for 45 minutes. He never responded to an email I sent him 6 days before the wedding with questions about shots which, if answered, could have potentially solved some timing problems we encountered during the wedding. He did indeed say he received the email. He was the only vendor that had no consultation regarding the wedding. Maybe he shoots so many weddings that he doesn't have as much time to actually get a better idea of what the bride wants and/or the intricacies of her planned day? Not sure.

Overall, we were quite pleased with the finished pictures. But in retrospect, I really wish I had been able to get a hold of him the week before the wedding.
