Wedding at Castle McCulloch, Rosa Mae's did our food and our cake. If you want a cake at your wedding that tastes as good as it looks this is the place! Food was delicious, we did a plated dinner and the staff was very attentive and professional. Easy to work with, eager to do whatever we needed done! -

Thank you to the awesome Rosa Mae's team! My day would not have been the same without you. They did a wonderful job throughout the event. They took extra special care of my mom who has been having a rough time lately and it really made her night which of course fills my heart even more. Everyone is still talking about the ceremony site decor, the reception decor, the food, the cake, the service. I cannot say enough about these wonderful, great, awesome people, especially Beth Davis, who always goes out her way to make the dream a reality. I think she has a touch of fairy godmother in her 🤗 Thank you will never be enough 💞👰🏼💞 -

Loved the food. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Appetizers as well as entrees. We got a buffet and were really happy with the quality and taste of food and the service as well. Totally recommend them for wedding catering. -

Zafeira Sent on 06/09/2018Rosa Mae's Catering is wonderful! They catered our 120+ person wedding reception with passed appetizers, a plated dinner, punch bar, coffee bar and cake. The food and service were absolutely fantastic! We got so many compliments on how delicious the food was. Our cake was beautiful and delicious. Beth Davis was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She was so patient during the planning process and provided wonderful insight and guidance. She went above and beyond to set-up, carry-out and clean-up our event. I am so grateful that Beth, Jimmy, Karen and the entire Rosa Maes team were part of our big day and grateful for the wonderful job they did in creating our perfect day.

Tay Sent on 01/10/2013I really appreciated Beth and her services. She really listened to my ideas for my theme, and she implemented them well on our wedding night. Truly, the decorations exceeded my expectations; they were perfect. The food was great, and the cake was good. My husband's family can be very picky when it comes to eating other people's food, and they will tell you when it's not right (lol). But we heard no complaints on the wedding night, and even saw them get up for seconds! That was enough for me to see.
I have already recommended Beth to others, and will continue to do so.

Rosa Mae's was easy to work with and helpful in creating our buffet style menu. Our tasting was scheduled at the restaurant and they were very accommodating. We used Rosa Mae's because they were our venue's preferred venue, but it ended up working well! -
User1682745 Sent on 06/27/2014Beth was amazing: she met whenever we wanted, was easy to contact, and always responded to myself and my parents promptly.
Our issues:
1) a temp worker grabbed a random marker and wrote (with the misspelling and grammar errors) "Congradulations from rosa Maes'" on our matted photograph that we had hoped to have as a keepsake forever. The marker chosen was absolutely not the one we supplied the caterer with and the writing stands out, larger than any other writing, in the top left corner. It has ruined this keepsake. We now have it in the attic, just in case we ever figure out a way to cover it.
2) the food was just ok. My mother and I got the pasta with chicken and we had only broccoli stumps: no heads between the two of us! That was upsetting since Mom and Dad had paid well over $5,000 for our guests (110ppl) to eat. If we got scraps, it's hard to imagine what our guests got (the close friends we asked said that it was room temperature "wedding food" . )
This is a PREFERRED VENDOR at the Castle. One of TWO food vendors. That's sketchy. The castle takes a big chunk of their fee, but you get a discount. The Vendor is left working off a discounted fee, yet you're still paying full price. If you have something special in mind, go with them. The 25% fee you're going to pay for an outside caterer is going to be the fee you pay for one of the approved vendors anyway; it'll just go directly to the vendor you hire. -

Candace Sent on 11/17/2014This catering company was one of only three options to avoid an outside catering fee from my venue. If I knew what I know now, I would have saved myself time, frustration and ironically more money by going with an outside caterer. I received splendid service upon going into contract with Rosa Mae's. However, when it was closer to my wedding and I could no longer afford my extremely high outstanding balance, the owner gave me a hard time and talked down to me when I wanted to lose the extravagance and simply stick to the basics for our dining options. When I called to finalize the menu and make my final payment, the owner couldn't find the correct paperwork and the night before my wedding, the caterer calls and accuses me of not paying my balance (which I had). The owner was present for roughly 20 mins on my wedding day and then left younger ppl to run the show while they made disparaging comments around my guests. My food was cold and the lemonade was disgusting. I'm absolutely upset with myself that I literally handed over $4000 for poor service. -

We used Rosa Maes Catering for our wedding which was a few days ago. I will start off by saying that the food was good & most the people who attended the wedding, and were actually able to finish their meal, enjoyed it completely. We received numerous texts saying that it was delicious, but I am unable to leave a 5 star review.
I had confirmed via email weeks before the wedding that all leftover food would be boxed for me in styrofoam boxes and that it would be able to be taken home for after the wedding which sounded great. Unfortunately, I believe we received only 1 or 2 extra to-go boxes after the wedding was over which is impossible. We had originally prepared for 125 people to attend the wedding and have roughly 85 people come and enjoy the night. Not only should there have easily been plenty of extra food that was leftover to take home, which was not given to us, everyone that I spoke to about the food informed me that the food was taken before they were able to even get a second plate which there should have been plenty of food for everyone to eat. With the food being taken EXTREMELY EARLY & having 40 extra portions of food, one would only assume that my guests ate the extra food(which was not even possible) or we would have a great deal of food to take home. Neither of these occurred. Having an additional 40 extra plates should have meant that roughly half of our family and friends should of had to have had seconds or even possibly thirds depending on how much people ate.
Another issue that concerned people who attended my wedding, to include my wife and I; is that as people were eating, talking with family and friends, and using the restroom, their food was taken off of the table before they were able to finish their plates. Shortly, after everyone received their plates, the catering company took the food off of the buffet with no opportunity for anyone to get seconds that I spoke with. After spending almost $4,500 on food I would’ve only assumed that the food would have been left out for at least some time for people to enjoy it and indulge in it, yet that was not possible especially considering each plate cost roughly $34-$36….
HIGHLY recommend speaking with other caterers, before booking with them.
