  Must Book Photographer!

  Emily from Rooted Image Photography went above and beyond. From the very first phone call that I had with Emily, I knew I did not need to keep looking for another photographer. We instantly clicked with our personalities and the style that she captures. The month leading up to the wedding was super stressful. Emily took the time to call me, ask a few questions, and started working on our day of timeline for the wedding. Having this information helped create more organization for the day and gave me a better idea of what to expect. The week of the wedding, I noticed rain and cold weather on the forecast. I always envisioned my ceremony being outside. Emily called me because she could tell I was stressed. She took the time to talk to me as a friend and let me know that no matter what happens, everything is going to be OK. If it rained - she has plans for that. If it didn’t rain, wonderful - we can still stick to the normal schedule. It was a breath of fresh air that I needed with words of encouragement right before the big day. It meant so much to me!

  Expectations Surpassed, Beautiful Photos!

  Rooted Image Photography surpassed all of our wedding expectations. Emily and Tim were organized, professional, and kindhearted. Their experience shined through with their use of poses, photo angles and equipment. The quality of the photos we received were clear, crisp, and beautiful. Emily and Tim perfectly captured the emotion of our special day. They did not miss one moment of our wedding. Not only did they capture all of our ‘wanted’ moments, but they were also able to capture extra, surprise moments too. The day after the wedding, our guests commented about how warm and outgoing Emily & Tim were. They seamlessly fit into our special day. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Emily was responsive, helpful, and reassuring. She took our engagement photos, which were equally as beautiful as our wedding photos. My husband and I would love to use Rooted Image Photography in our future, to capture more milestone moments. We highly recommend Emily, Tim, and the Rooted Image Photography team.

  Absolutely Amazing

  Our experience with Rooted Image was absolutely amazing from the minute we agreed to work together on our Engagement and Wedding photos. Emily is an artist who cares deeply about her craft and about those she works with.
  
  Short Review: If you want to feel like you are working with a good friend while receiving high-quality photos then you have to go with Rooted Image.
  
  Consultative: I've never been involved in this process before and Emily's experience and willingness to share was incredibly helpful. She always made sure to understand our vision and then utilized her experience to make it reality while also offering her suggestions.
  
  Candid Moments: We were initially drawn to Rooted Image because of the candid moments & authentic feel of their portfolio and I'm just so impressed with our final gallery. Emily captures more than just the standard photos. Whether it's a moment with a parent, a personal moment between the couple, or even just a quick look or facial expression, those easy to miss moments are all captured.
  
  Creativity: Emily goes far beyond the standard wedding photos. They utilized our venue very well when capturing the bride (e.g. mirror reflections), the groom, or our reception (e.g. utilizing higher view points). They also had cool ideas for capturing our guests by table and doing our wedding party shots.
  
  Technical: I don't know anything about photography so all I can do is judge based on my personal feelings and Rooted Image far exceeded my high expectations! We are beyond thrilled with our final gallery as it captured everything we had hoped in stunning quality.
  
  Organization & Planning: Throughout the entire process I always knew where we stood with Emily. If we owed her an answer, I knew my deadlines and she followed up if needed. If she was working on something she was super clear on timelines and kept us updated. Her wedding day packet was great to help us think through what needed to happen with photography the day-of, ensured we stayed on track, & received all the photos we wanted.
  
  Personal: Comfortable. That is the best way I can describe how I feel working with Emily. She is absolutely wonderful and truly cares about her clients on a personal level. She is friendly, genuine, and everything you could hope for not just in your wedding photographer but what I would want in a friend.

  Fantastic all around!

  I was a bridesmaid in a wedding Emily shot in 2018 and because of that experience referred her to a friend who got married in 2022. When it was my turn this year there was no other photographer I wanted for my day.
  Emily always started with “what do you wanna do?” She offered her advice and support while always honoring what we chose with enthusiasm and excitement. I felt like I didn’t know half of what I needed to know to plan a wedding but Emily was there giving advice and being our biggest cheerleader!
  Emily and Zarah captured moments from a very special day, we will cherish them always.

Honestly after meeting Emily and her husband we did not want to meet another photography team. Between their amazing personalities and pictures we knew they were the ones. Emily did our engagement photos & wedding. We had an absolute blast with her! She made the whole process so easy and relaxing (since this was our first ever professional photos together). Emily is so organized and was beyond helpful!! She was just a text or phone call away at any point to help us through the wedding planning journey.   Picture Perfect!

  We just got married in July 2023 at Woodstone Country Club. It was an absolute dream come true. Emily and her second photographer, John, fit into our day and bridal party perfectly. She was so positive, happy, and accepting all day, which makes for an easy relationship! I’m someone who asks 35285 questions and she was always there to answer every single one. Rooted is reasonably priced and worth every penny and let’s not forget to mention Emily’s turnaround time is an added bonus! The pictures came out gorgeous and better than we could have imagined. Our day was flawless and now we get to relive it through the beautiful photos by rooted image photography! Thanks for being a great photographer and now friend!! Book her!

  Groom of Spring Wedding

  You are looking for 5 star photographers on this website, but you really just found a photographer and team who are easily 10 stars! Emily and Rooted Image Photography were absolutely tremendous for us. We got married this past may (May of 2023), but Emily consistently checked in on us from when we met and signed on with her over the 2 year period we gradually planned our wedding. That's her and her team's magic. They care about you, doing everything in their power to make your day special, and that comfort and rapport you develop with her and her team translates into the photos they will take of you and your partner. Emily was extremely reachable. We had multiple scheduled phone calls, exchanged texts all the time and even shared instagram photos and reels that inspired us with her. Emily is resourceful, a great problem solver, and committed to doing everything in her and her team's power to capture and show what makes you and your partner so happy. I definitely want to highlight the timeline Emily will make alongside you as it gets closer to your wedding. She is very thorough, and makes a detailed timeline of what events she will photograph during your day and will give your wedding structure. Her affability allows the timeline to be flexible, yet instills confidence in you and your partner knowing that everything you want will be photographed and relieve a lot of pressure for you. Rather than worrying about all the moments, you will get to revel in all of those moments with so much more confidence and joy, which will be seen in your photos. All in all, Emily and her team are an absolute dream. They had a profound impact that really helped everyone involved with our wedding.   The first word that came to mind after seeing our wedding gallery was perfection.   SO Perfect!

  Emily was such a joy to work with. She made our entire bridal party and families feel so comfortable throughout this whole process, including my introverted husband who typically does not like his picture taken. Her and Laikyn were great about suggesting poses or beautiful spots on the properties to take photos. Emily was great about listening to what we wanted and needed and delivered PERFECTLY. Our pictures came out so, so well and we couldn't be happier with our experience with Rooted Image Photography.

  AMAZING!!! You will not regret using them!!!

  Emily and her second photographer Emily were absolutely phenomenal! Communication with Emily was quick and clear, and we loved her vibe right from the start! The Emilys not only took amazing photos of the wedding and reception, but they did so in a professional and fun way. Unlike so many wedding photographers we’ve seen that impassionately treat the wedding as another day on the job, Emily and Emily brought enthusiasm and flair, and it was clear they were excited about being part of our big day. They made the wedding party feel relaxed and comfortable while keeping things tightly on schedule. Their guidance during the shoot was gentle and encouraging, and their overwhelmingly positive attitude was absolutely infectious! They adeptly captured a wide range of photos, from beautifully posed scenes to fleeting moments that would otherwise be lost to time. We cannot recommend them enough!

  So much fun and fabulous photos!

  We are so happy we booked Rooted Image photography for our wedding! Emily and Joe were super organized and helped us figure out all of the details for the day so it went smoothly. They were so much fun to work with on the day and our whole wedding party and family loved working with them. The photos were amazing! We cannot thank them enough!

  I can’t recommend Rooted Image Photography enough! Like most couples, we had to move our wedding due to the pandemic and they were so accommodating and amazing during that process! The day of my wedding I felt so confident in their abilities because they made everybody feel so ease with their professionalism, their demeanor, and their banter (my favorite part!)   So kind, professional, and flexible!

  Emily and Joe were absolutely amazing! They captured our wedding day beautifully, exactly as we want to remember it. I even requested some shots that I found on Pinterest and they recreated them so well! They are so beautiful and exactly what I wanted, they are definitely my favorite photos from the entire day! Emily and Joe were incredibly accommodating to us, they got all of the family photos we wanted (we have a large family so this was no small feat) and really hustled all day to get detail photos, candids, and sunset photos. They worked so well with all of our vendors, friends and family. We are so appreciative of them and felt like we left our wedding with two new friends!

  My husband and I met Emily and Joe at a bridal & wedding expo and we knew right on the spot that they were who we HAD to go with; they're the type of team that make you feel like they're your kind of people! They radiate kindness and are clearly in love with what they do. From day one, they've done nothing but make my husband and I feel incredibly comfortable throughout the whole process, which was probably not the easiest since we're not "photo people". We couldn't be happier with our photos and can't recommend them enough! It's a no-brainer!
