Roomforty (f&b) were a pleasure to work with. They were there every step of the day to make sure our guests and us (the bride and groom) were taken care of. Everyone enjoyed their service and we received so many compliments on their behalf. Food and drinks were amazing. Everyone just enjoyed their hospitality and they even enjoyed themselves as well. Such friendly personalities and got along well with our guests. Truly enjoyed our dinner service. Could not get enough and received multiple compliments throughout the night. They helped with the cake cutting service. Just cannot say enough about how great they were. -

The catering with Room Forty was phenomenal and we’re so glad we had them for our wedding day. We loved being able to taste all the different options at their tasting dinner and my husband and I definitely appreciated being able to taste and talk through all the options before selecting our menu. They have so many options for cuisines, and we loved that we didn’t feel limited in choosing from a few choices. All of the items we chose for hor dourves and our buffet dinner were superb. The food was ready to be served on time and all of the servers were so professional and efficient. Countless wedding guests came up to us during the wedding to tell us this was the best wedding food they have ever had, which feels like one of the highest compliments one could receive for their wedding. The korean braised short rib was out of this world, and cooked to perfection, which can be really challenging to do for 200 guests. I also loved how accommodating Room Forty was with all of our guest allergies and food intolerances. They made sure all of our guests were taken care of properly, and that was so appreciated. The bar was also very efficient, and our guests appreciated the quality beer and wine options that were available to them. All in all, we have no complaints with the catering team and service, and my husband and I are so glad we had Room Forty cater our wedding day. -

I hired Room Forty (catering) + Pharmacie (bar services) for my wedding on 12-10-22 at The Harper and cannot recommend them enough! Room Forty is the venue’s exclusive in-house caterer and Pharmacie is the venue’s exclusive in-house beverage program. Room Forty uses fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients, and Pharmacie makes all of their syrups, etc. for their *excellent* craft cocktails from scratch. One thing I really love about Room Forty and Pharmacie is that they offer seasonal menus (yes, even the cocktails), and honestly, all of their dishes and cocktails are so creative and delicious; you really can't go wrong with any of them.
We had about 130 guests at our wedding. Room Forty and Pharmacie offer a ton of different packages, but they are flexible so if you are like us and want to make changes to your package throughout the wedding planning process, it's very easy to do so. We chose to do the full open bar with 3 bars due to guest count, and a full plated dinner with a salad course to start, choice of 3 entrees, one of which was a silent veg entree that we got to pick, and tray-passed apps. We also added a welcome cocktail (the bees knees) for our guests upon arrival and had 2 signature cocktails (the old fashioned and my personal favorite, the blackberry margarita), a sparkling toast and tableside wine service, all of which I highly recommend. We selected the following menu:
(1) Tray passed appetizers: chicken empanadas, saffron arancini and old bay crab cake lollipops
(2) First course: little gems salad with pancetta vinaigrette and pecorino
(3) Entrees: scottish salmon with summer corn, spanish chorizo, serrano chili and cauliflower puree; filet mignon with caramelized carrots, celery root and hazelnut gremolata; and the silent veg option/my absolute favorite dish of the evening: burrata cheese + corn ravioli with truffle beurre fondue, calabrian chili oil and basil
Room Forty and Pharmacie truly did NOT disappoint! The food was exceptional and the drinks were incredible; everything went seamless throughout the entire day. The servers and bartenders were all amazing and just all-around wonderful people to work with. We were absolutely blown away with everyone’s attention to detail, execution and service. The bars looked amazing, the bartenders and servers were both hip, friendly and knowledgeable, and our guests were beyond impressed.
Room Forty was extremely easy to work with and they were very flexible on custom changes. We attended a group tasting at our venue a few months before our wedding where we got to taste different appetizers, entrees, desserts, late night snacks and cocktails. We also got to mingle with the staff, which was so much fun! The staff was exceptional and everyone was so friendly. On the day-of our wedding, everything was done very efficiently; there was never a long line to get drinks and every single staff member performed their jobs with a positive attitude and a smile, which really brought the best energy possible to our wedding day!
Overall, we loved Room Forty and Pharmacie; they provide a wonderful service and their staff members are professional, dressed appropriately, and leave a wonderful lasting impression on guests. Room Forty and Pharmacie far exceeded our expectations and I can't recommend them enough! -

We recently had the pleasure of working with Roomforty Catering for our engagement party, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From start to finish, the communication and follow-through were seamless, making the planning process stress-free and enjoyable.
On the day of the event, the staff arrived early for setup and ensured everything was in place well before our guests arrived. Throughout the party, the team was incredibly attentive to both us and our guests, ensuring that everyone was well taken care of. After the celebration, they managed a thorough clean-up of the food and beverage items.
The drink offerings were outstanding, featuring a specialty spicy margarita and a unique twist on the classic old-fashioned, along with a full bar. Both signature cocktails were excellent and received rave reviews from our guests.
As for the tray-passed canapes, every bite was a delight. We enjoyed an array of delicious options, including waffles and fried chicken, burger sliders, chicken Caesar salad cups, bruschetta, and tuna tartare. Each dish was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious.
With so many details to consider when planning a party, Roomforty was instrumental in alleviating the stress and allowing us to fully enjoy our time with family and friends. The party, which catered to fifty people, was a great success thanks to their exceptional service and quality.
While Roomforty's pricing was slightly above the median in our comparisons, the level of service and quality of food made it more than worth it. We highly recommend Roomforty Catering for any special event. They truly went above and beyond to make our engagement party an unforgettable experience. -

We ended up at a roomforty-exclusive venue after our initial venue couldn't host our wedding due to covid. We loved our original caterer, and were sad to make the change, but we did hear great things from everyone we talked to about roomforty. They did not disappoint! The menu was really creative and fun. The food was super good. They even made some special exceptions for my groom who hates sauces and made his entire dinner without them! Even without the incredible sauces, his plate was still super tasty. They even provided us with a snack tray and drinks right after the ceremony so we could get some food in our bellies. The wait staff was on it the whole night. They kept everything super clean, were really friendly, and always ensured our guests were well taken care of and happy. -

Erica Sent on 09/20/2011When Room Forty came to my house for a tasting, I seriously thought I was eating at a 5 star restaurant. Everything they cooked for us was absolutely AMAZING! I wanted Mexican style catering & that is exactly what they gave me. But when it came to numbers, responsiveness & help when it came to revising our contract as my husband, parents & I were more clear on what exactly it was we wanted, our relationship with the Room Forty team basically went down hill from there. They weren't too happy when rearrangements were asked to be made or when how they came about their total price was questioned. The way they calculate their numbers I never agreed with. They add a 20% gratuity to your entire bill, including rentals. Obviously it should be added to food, service and staff; but they also include things in your total before adding the 20% gratuity such as tables, chairs and flip labor (all of our rentals were included in their package.) To top it off, they end it by getting their final number by multiplying THAT number by a $9.75 CA sales tax. Which come to find out later after we had Vibiana look into it, they admitted it as being an error & agreed to calculate our later additions to the contract using the correct tax of $8.75. But yet the original contract total was created using the WRONG tax of $9.75. Doesn't sound like much but when you're talking about a $20,000+ contract, that number goes a long way. They basically take your total food and service amount --> add the cost of your rentals such as tables and chairs & flip labor --> multiply that number by a 20% gratuity --> then multiply that number by the WRONG sales tax of $9.75. Most blogs I've read say it's common for caterers to only charge gratuity on the FOOD TOTAL, not the total amount including rentals. So that right there gave us an uneasy feeling, but we were too far in to turn back because our wedding day was fast approaching. In the end, we had to order a few more dinners because our headcount had changed. What they wanted to charge us for those additions, as opposed to the price Vibiana got it down to after we had them look into it, was a $1,200 difference. With them relaying to Vibiana it was "an error" in their calculations. An error I was trying to get them to admit to all along! But it took Vibiana to question their integrity & the way they do business, for them to change the way they do their numbers on the contract. Something I had been trying to do on my own all along because I knew something didn't seem right. While all the back & forth revisions were going on, it was extrememly hard to get a hold of Steve himself (the owner). He never returned my phone calls or responded to the messages I would leave him. It was almost as if they were ignoring us because they weren't happy with the fact we were questioning their service. Also, the chicken we picked for our wedding day didnt taste the same as the quality we tasted at our in home tasting, which was why we picked them in the first place. Which had us wondering whether or not the tension brewing between myself, my then fiance, my parents & the Room Forty team had somehow changed the quality of the service we received. However, the presentation of their service on our wedding day went surprisingly well. Besides the tension between us all leading up to our wedding day & the chicken not exactly tasting the same, our wedding day went on as planned & turned out beautiful despite the pre-catering drama! The appetizers were amazing, the way dinner was served was beautiful, our personal waiter my husband & I had following us around throughout the day was so very nice ~ I would have had nothing negative to say about Room Forty had it not been for the tension leading up to our wedding day. This is the only vendor we had a hard time working with. Every other vendor was a breeze & went off without a hitch!
