Planning a destination wedding in Italy could have been overwhelming, especially with me living in California, my mom in Miami, and Marco in Italy. Add in the time zone differences and the endless details of planning a multi-day celebration, and it sounds like a recipe for stress. But Marco made the entire process not only possible, but truly joyful.
From the very beginning he listened carefully to our vision and guided us with patience, creativity, and incredible attention to detail. He was always available, despite the time difference, and his communication was so clear that I never felt out of the loop. My mom and I both felt supported and cared for every step of the way.
On the wedding weekend itself, Marco was flawless. He managed vendors, coordinated transportation for our guests, and brought every little design detail together so beautifully. Our church ceremony, garden dinner, and vineyard rehearsal all felt seamless, elegant, and true to us. Guests are still telling us how magical it felt, and I know that is thanks to Marco’s skill and dedication.
If you are planning a wedding in Italy, I can’t imagine a better planner. Marco gave us peace of mind, honored our ideas, and transformed them into something even better than we dreamed. I am forever grateful to him for making our wedding everything we hoped for and more.

I cannot thank Marco enough for everything he did to make our wedding the most amazing and perfect day. He truly went above and beyond in every way!
Marco was recommended to me by two colleagues whose destination weddings he planned, and now I know exactly why they spoke so highly of him. I honestly cannot recommend him enough—he is the best wedding planner ever, and he made all of our dreams come true.
The entire R&J team and their vendors were phenomenal. From the catering to the ceremony musicians, the DJ, and the florals, every detail was flawless. The photographers, videographer, and hair/makeup artists were amazing and I couldn’t have found these vendors on my own. I was blown away by how beautifully everything turned out. Our guests cannot stop talking about how incredible the day was—many said it felt like a fairytale. And it truly was.
Marco also helped us stay within our budget while still securing amazing vendors, and while there are always some compromises to make to stay within the budget, I felt like we had to compromise very little. And Marco was able to help us In the end, we got everything we wanted and more.
He organized absolutely everything from connecting us with the most amazing vendors, organizing our pre-wedding trip to Italy to see our venue and have our food tasting (which was AMAZING), and answering the thousands of questions I had :)

Might need to get married again!
Our micro wedding in Tuscany was phenomenal! Marco provided us with a list of villas suitable for what we wanted and we were blown away by the beauty of the area. Loretta did all of the planning and coordination of the vendors, so we did not have to worry about anything on the wedding day. The attention to all the details was absolutely amazing. The evening flowed perfectly and our guests also had the best time! Thank you guys! Grazie! -

Highly recommend Romeo & Juliet!!!
We are a couple from the USA who wanted to get married in Italy but weren’t sure how to start the process. We found Romeo & Juliet weddings and are so grateful we did!! From the start, Massimo was extremely kind and helpful finding us a venue in Tuscany (Villa il Pozzo). Amazing wedding planner in Italy
Marco is an amazing wedding planner, I really don’t think I could have done the wedding without his help!
During the planning process he was very responsive and always gave us options of vendors/prices, he sets everything out in a very clear way so I always knew what was outstanding and what was completed. We got legally married in Italy and he made sure everything we needed to do was written out very clearly and then he took care of everything else. Also if you are not from Italy and worried about the language barrier, Marco has amazing English so was able to communicate with the Italian vendors then relay the information back to us very clearly.
Marco ran through everything with us the day before and then on the day was there all day organising everything. We couldn’t have been happier with how the day went, he organised everything so well and we were left to enjoy the day and not worry about a thing! We were really conscious that we wanted the day to flow very smoothly, and always have music playing etc and Marco organised the vendors amazingly to make sure this was the case.
Thank you so much Marco for making our day so special and I would HIGHLY recommend Romeo and Julliet weddings to anyone else looking to get married in Italy. -

For anyone looking for a wedding planner in Italy; I cannot say enough about the incredible wedding planning we got from Marco of Romeo and Juliet Weddings.
We found Romeo and Juliet Weddings in April 2024 for an October 2024 wedding; with only 6 months to plan, we choose the A-Z “Planning” Package to include as many of Marco’s services as possible.
We had already secured a venue, Rocca di Cetona, a castle in a very small medieval town of Cetona. Marco had not worked in this area of Tuscany before and did a site visit and videotaped everything for us as he walked the castle and the property finding the perfect locations for the ceremony, happy hour, a formal outdoor dinner, and reception. He was basically starting from scratch with logistics and vendors and an extremely difficult villa to get to – an average car could fit and make it up to the entrance of the castle and the closest vendors were 1 ½ hours away.
Marco really listened to my daughter and her vision. He is so organized and knew exactly how to make her dream wedding a reality. He stayed in constant contact with us getting confirmations and alerting us to any obstacles / changes along the way. He is truly a seasoned professional with amazing work ethic and added a human touch with his thoughtfulness.
I cannot thank Marco enough and express my gratitude for the smoothness of the entire process but also to the last minute choices / changes that he made when we learned that we would have rain for our outdoor ceremony and dinner.
He went above and beyond the norm and helped me with some amazon purchases and stopping on his way to buy some other items that I was not able to bring with us or find in Italy. He also helped with planning and getting transportation secured for us to get from Rome to the Castle and back and not to mention the buses he got for us for our group excursions to Florence and Montepulciano.
Marco is so talented and has such creative and innovative ideas that he added to the making of a magical wedding. It was truly a fairytale wedding.
I highly recommend Marco and Romeo and Juliet Weddings for your wedding planner if you want a perfect and beautiful wedding in Italy.

We love Loretta!
From the moment that we first spoke to Loretta at Romeo&Juliet we felt comfortable that our wedding was in safe hands. Loretta has guided us through every step of the planning process and delivered us the most beautiful wedding in keeping with our vision and preferences.
In the 18 month lead up to the wedding, Loretta's organisation and communication have been incredible. As we have dealt with our busy day-to-day responsibilities with careers and lives back home in the UK she has kept us informed and on track, understood our dream and provided guidance as well as providing the critical interface with venues, vendors, caterers etc... on the day - faced with biblical thunderstorms, Loretta somehow managed to adjust plans to create something more special than we could have ever hoped for!

A beautiful evening in Roma with Romeo and Juliet Weddings
Getting married abroad can seem daunting when you first begin planning. But Marco, from the first moment he made contact with us, put us at ease.
It has been nearly two weeks since the wedding and there is one thing my husband and I have repeated to each other over and over again : there is no way we could have done this without Marco. He is worth his weight in gold.
And it’s true. Marco dealt with every single request and kept us updated at regular intervals. He managed to source the best vendors and ensured we got exactly what it was that we were looking for, including particulars such as: the stunning rooftop location overlooking Rome, a cellist to play ‘On an Evening in Roma’ and a wonderful deal on the wedding flowers.
Communication was consistently clear and Marco was always very kind, polite and friendly. He was there to oversee events on the day and it was clear that he is passionate and absolutely loves what he does.
The wedding itself was the best day of our lives. It ran seamlessly and at no point did we feel rushed or feel any pressure. Everything was taking care of. Marco thinks of things that probably wouldn’t even occur to you!
We genuinely cannot thank him enough for making our day perfect. I would recommend him to anybody looking to plan their romantic Italian wedding.

The Best Wedding Planner
We want to give our wedding planner Marco more than 5 stars!
From the get go, he was extremely responsive, flexible and so knowledgeable! We are a couple from California and wanted a small wedding in Tuscany. Marco helped us finding the amazing venue, took care of hair and make up, flowers, photographer, musician, transportation, patisserie, wedding dinner reservation. Simply every detail was managed by him successfully.
In addition, he was extremely familiar with the process of getting legally married in Italy for Americans. He worked with our tight schedule to make all the necessary appointments, provided witnesses and documents.
We changed our minds about certain process and details numerous times, Marco was always flexible and accommodated our demands.
During the 10-month long preparation, Marco kept in touch regularly and updated us with the wedding program periodically. He made us feel important and he thought of details that we overlooked.
Last but not least, Romeo and Juliet's pricing is very competitive among the other Italian wedding planners. For the services we received, we think it is of great value.

Best Wedding Planner for magical moments

My husband and I got married two weeks ago on Certaldo, Italy and I cannot express enough the appreciation we have for Marco for making our day the best and exceeding our expectations.
From start to finish of our wedding planning process, Marco was incredibly attentive, has a wonderful way of working and organizing all communications so questions/answers are easy to track and he made sure that no detail - no matter how small - was missed. On top of the planning style, Marco is just the kindest person to work with, he was patient with us and even dealt well with our busy-bee parents at the rehearsal! Wow. We could not have wished for a better wedding planner.
Marco was incredible from the start. He was so professional and knowledgable in the planning process, guiding us through our options and really got to know us as people. We would not have been able to plan the wedding of our dreams in Italy, from where we live in England, without his valuable guidance.
From helping with caterers, florists, music, transport, paperwork, Marco was so prompt to reply to our emails and queries. He has incredible attention to detail and produced useful financial spreadsheets and wedding programmes.

We cannot recommend Marco and Romeo&Juliet weddings enough! He was absolutely amazing. He helped us plan our perfect elopement in Cinque Terre.
He was super responsive throughout the whole process and took care of everything. Marco made it very clear exactly what we needed to do with all the legalities in the UK and Italy. He also assisted with last minute requests such as booking taxis for guests.
His suggestions on photography & restaurants were absolutely perfect.
On the day he met us with our bouquet and buttonhole and very kindly set up the venue for us, and liaised with our photographer to ensure the best set up for photos.
Marco could not have done more for us, we couldn’t have picked a better wedding planner and we are eternally grateful for everything he has done.

Unforgettable wedding!
My dream wedding came true thanks to outstanding help, support and lots of PATIENTS :) from our wedding planner Loretta!
We picked the castle as a wedding venue, which means all the suppliers were not included in the package. Loretta helped us with every single step starting from catering, open bar suppliers, music bands, flower companies and many more. Having so many different companies combined and having everything smooth on a wedding day - requires lots of organisation skills, experience and a vision! Our guests were totally blown away by the party and were impressed with all the little details that were considered to make it unforgettable!

We came across R&J weddings after reading a review from a wedding they had coordinated on the day. We arranged a skype call with Loretta and we immediately clicked. We loved her professionalism, dedication and attention to detail.
Over the next 18months she helped us plan the wedding of our dreams. She helped secure amazing suppliers, guided us though the legalities of getting married in Italy and having it legally recognised (we live in the UK) and gave great suggestions that we hadn't thought of.
Loretta made sure to reply to us in a timely manner and would touch base regularly to give updates. We both have extremely busy full time jobs so having a wedding planner that could liaise with suppliers directly, find us the best quotes and coordinate everything on the day was invaluable.

Splendid, Everlasting Wedding Experience Thanks to Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet made our wedding day the most memorable experience of our lifetime. Our wedding was in Lago d'Orta. Every detail was perfectly planned. The bouquet was incredibly beautiful, done by a local artist who perfectly matched my wedding dress. The photographers were fabulous taking care to catch our intimate moments during the day. The boat ride to dinner was spectacular. We had a romantic 8-course sunset dinner at Luci sul Lago. Marco, at Romeo and Juliet, made sure every detail was taken care of making the paperwork required for our wedding seem seamless. Thank you Romeo and Juliet for taking such good care of us. -

Our Italian Dream

Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como
My now husband and I decided that we wanted to get married and to celebrate this special day with just the two of us. We wanted to elope to Italy however, being from Australia, and not speaking a lick of Italian, we would need help in planning this amazing life event.
We came across Romeo and Juliet Weddings who specialised in Italian weddings in Lake Como, and then we found Loretta.
Loretta was an absolute darling to deal with!! Loretta made the most amazing recommendations She was so calm and helpful to us in organising this important day, from a world away.
Our hotel (Filario Hotels and Residences) was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. My hair and makeup artist (Elena Panzeri) was perfect. Our wedding took place at the spectacular Villa del Balbianello. Loretta took care of our flowers, and even organised us a long and relaxed lunch at the gem that is Locanda La Tirlindana. Loretta and Marco helped us with the formalities and paperwork requirements and everything was perfect.
David and I had the most wonderful day thanks to Loretta. After corresponding via email for almost a year, it was the icing on the cake to meet her in person and have her be one of our witnesses at the ceremony.
Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and we couldn’t have done it without Loretta, Marco, and Romeo and Juliet Weddings. We will be forever grateful.

We got in touch with Marco around September of 2018, for a wedding in May 2019. Initially we were nervous about possibly not having enough time, however Marco, right from the beginning, managed to calm our nerves and lay out a plan. Even before we "officially" hired him, he was happy to show us venues around Verona. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding we worked through a list of items that needed to be done, including the legal paperwork required. As we live in the middle east and both of us are from different nationalities this was not an easy task. Marco helped us to get through this paperwork, and even contacted embassies on our behalf. On the day itself, Marco was there to guide us and the guests throughout the day, but he managed to do so while being in the background. The experience was so smooth, that sometimes we didn't even notice him managing things. Marco was also our official translator during the ceremony. All of our guests got back to us with very positive feedback regarding the organization of the day. Quite a few had never experienced a wedding this well organized. -

After we got engaged and decided we were going to have a destination wedding in Italy I searched for a wedding planner specially for the advice on legal documents, etc. On a wedding blog I saw a beautiful wedding organized by Romeo and Juliet and also read the reviews on them so I got in contact immediately. Their answer was fast, Michela was so kind and also I liked that they could work with different type of budgets, that was a bonus! I was planning the wedding from my country so she helped us with the paperwork, choosing location for the town hall, bouquet, photographer and suggesting the wonderful location for the party. We communicated perfectly through email, whatsapp and skype.
Our wedding weekend was fantastic and the wedding day amazing!
Here are a few words on each thing they were in charge:
- Town hall: Michela gave us several options having in mind that we wanted something nice, within our budget and also that allowed a personalized ceremony. So Tivoli town hall was a great decision, not just because of the price but the place was GORGEOUS and the ceremony went great. The officiant was very charismatic, and the ceremony was also special to us because one of our friends sang and others had some words to share so it was very emotional.
There are some town halls where the ceremony has to be fast so I want to thank Michela for recommending a place that did not hurry us, allowed music, words, and time to take some pictures.
- Translator: Ludovico was very good as our translator for the ceremony, arrived on time and helped that some of our friends and family that did not speak Italian could understand everything.
- The bouquet: was exactly as I wanted it, when I saw it I was so happy! Great work, really! Also the boutonniere looked so nice.
- The photographer: Daniele Lanci was the best, he made us feel relax and knew all the nice spots to take our pictures. After the ceremony it started to rain but he made us feel calm and then it stop raining! Also we were happy because at the villa where the party was, it didn't rain so we could enjoy the party on the garden.
Now we have our wedding pictures and we love them!! He captured us, family, friends in such a natural and spontaneously way that I am so glad he was our photographer.
- Paperwork: Michela explain to us in a very easy and simple way everything we need for the civil wedding and helped us have everything on time. This was great because we weren't stress at all. She also booked our wedding date at the town hall with the first option we gave her for the wedding date and time we wanted.
Thank you very much Michela and Romeo and Juliet we love that you were part of our wedding planning process and I highly recommend them. So, if you are thinking of getting married in Italy, do it!! It's totally worth it, and I believe that Romeo and Juliet can organize the wedding in any part of Italy. -

We are an Australian couple in our sixties, and we wanted a low key but elegant wedding in Verona. Marco was so helpful with getting us through the paperwork and everything went to plan despite a few challenges initially with the Italian Bureauocracy. Every supplier Marco recommended was outstanding, including the hairdressers, florist, wedding venue (Palazzo Ragione), reception and photographer. On the day, everything ran so smoothly that my husband, our guests and I just had a fabulous time with zero stress. The wedding was a perfect dream come true and we just cannot believe how beautiful the photos are. I rave about Marco because he is a very caring highly talented and empathetic man who made this perfect wedding day happen for us. Thank you Marco for organising our perfect wedding day! -

Marco felt like a dear friend by the time we met in Rome and he guided us through every step of the way without a single stressful moment. The entire day was perfect from start to Finish.
We were made in Tivoli Wedding hall, and our wedding reception was in Rome and it was just amazing.
From assisting us with the venues, photographer, flowers, cakes and just everything in between it was fab!
We cannot thank him enough and we will most definitely recommend this company to anyone considering getting married in Italy. We're not fluent in Italian so this seemed like the best option and was perfect for us and it is worth spending the money to get such a professional wedding planner.
Our day would not have been so beautiful with the help and guidance of Marco.

Regina Sent on 01/31/2018If you are trying to find a wedding coordinator that will listen to you, respond to all emails/calls/requests and someone who is capable of making your dreams come true you have come to the right company. Marco is your man!! Words cannot describe how happy we are with our wedding day. From start to finish Marco was amazing. He listened to what we wanted and never told us that it couldn’t happen. I must say that it was hard to trust someone that I have never meant with planning the most important day of my life. Marco assured me that he was who he said he was and was willing to help ease my concern in anyway needed. Me being law enforcement and active military back in the states it’s hard for me to trust people. My job trains me to trust no one. It’s just scary sending money to someone you feel like you know but have never meant. Every review we found about him was always 100% positive and I now know why. I am now one of those positive reviews. There is not one bad thing to say about him or his company. He was never pushy and very trusting and I thank him for that! He gave me time to change my mind on some details and offered his honest opinion. We still can’t believe that we got married in Italy!!! Before reaching out to him we had spoke to at least 5-6 other coordinators from Italy. All of them told us that what we wanted was impossible with our budget. They were very pushy on deadlines and due dates. They were trying to force us to have the ceremony, dinner and drinks all in one place at the same time. I felt like I wasn’t being heard and my input wasn’t needed.Everything Marco recommended was perfect. We have nothing that we wished we would have done differently. He is one of a kind. I really enjoyed our year of communicating and planning with him. He has made such a stressful time seem so easy. If we had to do this all over again we would chose him over and over again.

I could not believe I got to have my dream wedding in Rome for around 3000 euros - that includes flowers, photography, planning services, hair and makeup, and dinner. Everything was beautiful, perfect, and went off without a hitch.
I highly recommend Romeo and Juliet if you are planning a wedding in Italy. -

Magdalena Sent on 09/27/2015We knew that we wanted a romantic intimate (around 30 guests) catholic ceremony in Sorrento but we had no idea where to start. After sending our much detailed wedding emails to thousands of wedding planners, Rome and Juliet was the first to offer some spectacular venues and who secured the beautiful Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Positano and amazing venue Relais Blu for 12.09.15. Our work started with Marco just seven months before the wedding.
We cannot imagine having our wedding done in any different way. Marco’s idea about getting a boat to the church and on the way back to the venue was absolutely spot-on. We haven’t expected that the beach on the wedding day (15:45) will be full of tourists who welcomed us and our guests with a standing ovation. It really made our day.
The church service was very beautiful and we adore Father Cyriacus. We experienced some ‘bumps’ in the church paperwork process from the place where we relocated to, but we can say now that it all worked out in the end.
I’m a perfectionist and I had very specific ideas of how I wanted our wedding to look, from the type of flowers, the little bow card names, the popcorn bar, the balloons & other venue decorations, the drink bar, the kid station, even down to how many individual flowers I wanted in my bouquet. Marco was thorough with his emails and answers to my many queries and questions. He went through all our requests and booked all suppliers and turned my vision into a reality.After the church ceremony we were transported by the boat to Relais Blu and Relais Blu’s private transport picked us up at the port at Nerano up to the Massa Lubrense where we were welcomed at Relais Blu with a glass of champagne. The Michelin star kitchen and exceptional service really stood out. A special thanks to Carmella who met us the day before to go through everything and who helped setting up everything up at the venue on the wedding day.

My husband and I live in Scotland and we wanted to have a destination wedding, we googled wedding planners and Romeo and Juliet wedding planners appeared first on our search so we got in touch. Loretta from the company responded very promotly and before we knew it we were on a flight to Lake como to meet her to be shown about a few venues. We instantly fell in love with Villa Del Balbianello and started to plan our wedding day. I can't express enough how easy it has been. Loretta took care of everything! It was so stress free and I planned everything via email with Loretta. I only took one trip back out to look at flowers and have a make-up trial before the wedding. The wedding day was so smooth, everything was perfect! We had an absolute ball and our guests were in awe of the venue, food and scenery! I would recommend Romeo and Juliet wedding planners in a heartbeat to anyone looking to get married in Italy! -
