We absolutely loved our wedding cake and our few gluten free guests were obsessed with the gf cupcakes they made for them! When a cake looks as good as it tastes what else can you ask for? -

They were very great and easy to work with. We got free tastings for the cake flavor and were very accommodating when we wanted to have 2 flavors in our cake. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend. -

I had a vision for my wedding cake from the moment I got engaged and The Rolling Pin made that vision a reality. First of all, I scheduled a few tastings around local bakeries which was like jumping through hoops, but the Rolling Pin made it so easy and just had us fill out a survey online and to come pick up the three customary samples when they were ready. They were ALL delicious and it was hard to pick just one. After my husband and I chose the cake we wanted, we just sent them a picture of what we wanted and the rest was history... it was a painless, easygoing experience with an incredible payoff. Probably one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning. We used the bakery that was in our contract, which came from the Bay Shore location. A few months prior to having our wedding, we went online to order 6 cupcakes for a tasting. Each one was so delicious, we had a hard time deciding. We decided on yellow cake with raspberry and vanilla mousse.
Absolutely DELICIOUS!! Once we did decide, all I had to do was send a photo of the type of cake we wanted (thank you Pinterest!), and they made it. Ours was simple, as we wanted a naked cake look. Our amazing florist dressed it up with fresh flowers, and voila! It was beautiful. Our cake was delicious!!!! -

Rachel Sent on 01/31/2018Our wedding cake from The Rolling Pin was extremely beautiful and, most importantly, delicious! The entire process of ordering the cake was easy and stress free. We chose 6 cake and filling combinations to take home to taste and were not expecting such HUGE portions. Every single one was delicious, but we ended up choosing the marble cake with cannoli filling and it was perfect. Thanks for such a beautiful cake! -

Wasn't too impressed by the wedding cake tastings, but that could just be the flavors I tried. That carrot cake though...WOW. Everyone was talking about it! -

Beth Sent on 06/30/2014This bakery has two locations. I used the Bay Shore NY location. I sent David, the baker, a picture of the cake I wanted and I received the same exact cake but only prettier. Our cake was the talk of the party. Not only was it beautiful but also very delicious. Renee one of the employees was outstanding. She helped me with all the details to delivering the cake personally. The price was affordable too. Couldn't be more happier with this bakery. I highly recommend them and will be using them in the future. -

I can't actually comment on price, as my caterer, Lessings, allowed us to chose our cake from two bakeries and this was included in our catering package. (unless we wanted fondant and then there was an up-charge)
We worked with David, who was pleasant, responsive and flexible with us. I asked for a cake I saw on the website that was not included on my list of free options, with a few changes made and he agreed to do it with no problem. I loved the look, which matched the older themed style we had going on, but more importantly- the taste was just excellent. I received compliments weeks after from guests on how it was the best wedding cake they have ever eaten.
I'd say that's a success! -

Jillian Sent on 08/01/2012The Rolling Pin is the go-to-bakery for East Wind Caterers (where we had our reception), so for most of the process we did not deal with them directly.
Having said that, we had a very positive experience overall. We ordered mini-cakes to sample a variety from the Setauket location. We thought the amount of icing on the mini-tasting cakes was a bit excessive, but after scraping a little extra off we were able to get a better idea of what a slice of actual cake would taste like... they were all very very tasty!
David was able to take my sketch (a combination of elements from images on The Rolling Pin's website mixed with my wedding colors)... -

Lena Sent on 11/02/2011We used this bakry for our wedding cake. They were fabulous David was so accomodating and helped me so much with choosing. I live about 3 hrs from this bakery bu my wedding was in long island so all my choices had to be made through email. I did go in to get samples to try and their cake is awesome. I even bought a few baked items while there and that was so good too Our cake was beautiful and everything I wanted. The cake was delicious. David you are the best. Thank you for our beautiful wedding cake -

Our cake came with the package at our reception hall and I was not dissapointed! This bakery truly takes pride in everything they make! We even had little trays at each table with cookies, italian pastries, chocolate dipped strawberries and cannolis. They were all delicious! -

Kristin Sent on 08/19/2010We used the Rolling Pin Bakery as a part of our package with the Smithtown Landing.. I was a little nervous because of that, but the cake came out beautiful!! And it was delicious!! We got white chocolate mousse and canolli with chocolate chips, yum! And the color of the cake matched our wedding colors perfectly, all I did was send them a url of the color we wanted and they nailed it! I highly recommend this bakery

Gregory Sent on 11/26/2017Our venue exclusively uses Rolling Pin for all their packages which we were excited about as Rolling Pin is well known for being a great bakery on Long Island, but we were a bit concerned they wouldn't be able to pull off vegan baked goods for us. We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered a naked marble cake, half canolli filling, half banana creme pudding for our guests, and did the top tier vegan (vanilla cake with chocolate pudding filling) and it was amazing. We also ordered a half dozen vegan cupcakes to ensure we had enough vegan treats for all necessary guests and they were delicious.
