My husband and I got married out in Montauk, New York in June of this year, and one of the single best decisions we made was hiring Robert (and Kim as well - we did not work with Kathleen due to a scheduling conflict, although I’m sure she worked on our wedding behind the scenes) as our photographers. Not only is Robert an amazingly talented photographer, he is simply put, an extremely warm and kind person. This may not seem like the most important trait in a wedding photographer, but I cannot stress what a difference it made to us personally. Between the two of us, my husband and I have been part of the bridal party for eight weddings, and we have never had such a wonderful experience with a wedding photographer. Throughout the planning process, right through our wedding day, Rob was quick to respond, friendly, and knowledgable - without ever being intrusive or overbearing. He helped coordinate a day-of schedule, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable - both in front of the camera and just in general. He has a very calming presence. Beyond this, Rob and Kim took the most beautiful pictures of both our welcome party and wedding day. They caught small moments and details that we surely would have missed, handled our many family photos with ease, and captured images of the two of us that I will treasure for years to come. I cannot say enough good things about working with them, and when I look at the photographs from our wedding, the joy of that weekend comes rushing back in a very real way. Thank you again.

Robert and Kathleen were simply the best! We considered a few photographers, but when we met with Robert and Kathleen we felt so comfortable that we knew we needed to hire them for our big day! Robert and Kathleen were a pleasure to work with - we even used them for our engagement session. My now-husband's family loved the photos so much that they wanted to do a session themselves - so we planned that with Robert & Kathleen. Throughout all these sessions, Robert and Kathleen were so professional, fun, and easy to work with. They were so responsive and made us feel so comfortable. Sometimes it can be awkward posing for pictures, but Robert and Kathleen made it feel so natural and fun! I can't wait for another occasion to hire this awesome duo for!

Robert and Kathleen were absolutely wonderful to work with and took amazing photos of our wedding. From the beginning Robert was so easy to talk to and always responsive to all of my emails and calls throughout the planning process. The day of the wedding they both made the process so easy and enjoyable - especially considering our large wedding party and family - I could not have been happier. Photography was so important to us and they did such a great job capturing the day. I know I will use them again in the future and could not recommend them more highly!

Robert and Kathleen photographed my actual engagement and i could not have asked for anything more. They were absolutely professional, warm and produced amazing photographs. They were beyond easy to work with from my initial conversation to post-production (i.e., putting together an album). They went the extra mile when I was stressed out and provided me comfort that it would go smoothly.

I highly recommend them.

I first met Robert and Kathleen at my now sister in-laws wedding. From the moment we met them and saw their work we knew they were one of a kind. There is nothing better than a couple who is truly passionate about each other and what they do and have the ability to capture the passion of each couple they photograph. Robert and Kathleen were absolutely phenomenal! From our engagement session to our wedding day we couldn't have been happier with their level of professionalism and creativity. We felt so comfortable every step of the way and are grateful to be able to look back at all of the moments they captured. Seriously, look no farther. Working with Robert and Kathleen was a dream and we cannot recommend them enough!

My husband and I did not want a videographer at our wedding, so it was very important to us to find wonderful photographers whose pictures would help us relive the night better than any video could. Robert and Kathleen’s work did that and so much more.

From start to finish, Robert and Kathleen were so easy to work with. We wanted to meet all of our vendors in person before the wedding to get all of the formalities out of the way; Robert and Kathleen happily agreed and we chatted over coffee about our vision for the day. They are super approachable and easy to talk to, and it felt like we had friends photograph our day.

They didn’t miss a beat – our pictures are beyond anything we could have dreamt up. We cannot wait to work with Robert and Kathleen to capture other milestones down the road!

If you're still looking for a wedding photographer look no further ~ Robert & Kathleen are the answer! Not only because of the beautiful photographs they take but more because of who they are. Due to schedule conflicts, we never met them before our wedding but it didn't matter because on the day of our wedding, we felt like we had known them for a long time! Robert & Kathleen are professional, yet they possess a quality that instantly puts you at ease, keeps you relaxed and lets the best you come through in each and every photo. Their easy going, friendly manner is so important since a large part of the day is spent with them. From the beginning, they make you feel special and confident that you've made the right choice. Robert is always there to answer a question or offer advice, he responds to emails promptly, he reassures you that everything will be perfect on your wedding day no matter how many times you ask! They are fun and caring, just fantastic to work with. In fact, they are so good at what they do that they disappear, blend into the background, seem scarce & no one remembers them being there but then your photographs are available and WOW! I am very fortunate to work with many photographers as I work in the Wedding industry. When it came time to plan my own Wedding there was no question that my one and only choice would be Robert and Kathleen. They are, hands down, the most wonderful photographers to work with as a fellow vendor however they completely surpassed my already high regards when I became their Bride. Their gorgeous galleries are sure to sell you as their photography is simply gorgeous but what sets them apart is their attention to you as their client.They make every couple feel so incredibly special through their attention to detail, quick responses, and thorough follow ups. I am also a firm believer that your photographers should create great energy throughout the day as they are the people you are around most on your Wedding Day! I see families and bridal parties (mine included) fall in love with Robert & Kathleen time and time again because they do just that. They set a tone that is calm, fun, & enjoyable while always keeping timelines flowing as they should. My Wedding photos are stunning and my Husband and I have the best memories of our big day thanks to them.

We had a wonderful experience with Robert and Kathleen for our wedding. From the very beginning Rob was responsive and flexible - I called several times in advance of our wedding to clarify the final details and ask a few remaining questions, and Rob was always quick to provide a thorough explanation or give great advice. On the day of our wedding, he and Kathleen were absolutely amazing. They arrived right on time, and immediately got to work. We had everything planned out pretty well (thanks to going back and forth on our schedule in advance of the wedding!) but I didn't realize just how quickly the day would go -- i thought we had all the time in the world, and i felt like i was in a whirlwind with friends, families, and bridesmaids all getting ready and enjoying ourselves throughout the day. Rob and Kathleen handled the day like pros and gently reminded us when we were falling behind schedule and when and where we had to be at any time. They wrangled a bridal party of close to 20 people easily and effectively, and were never pushy at all. They quietly steered the whole afternoon exactly where it needed to be, and weren't flustered at all when a beautiful day turned to a muggy, wet thunderstorm right as we started to take our photos. Once we arrived at our venue, i don't even really remember seeing Rob and Kathleen! They were always in the background, always professional, and never front and center. i don't even remember seeing them as i walked down the aisle or as we exchanged vows. We haven't yet seen our full set of photos, but we've seen a few sneak peaks and we absolutely love them! Rob and Kathleen were incredible to work with - if you're still looking for photographers, stop right here! They're worth every penny. Promise.

We used Robert and Kathleen Photographers for our wedding. They were absolutely amazing! I was very particular in who I selected to take our wedding pictures since photography is a hobby I have had for years. I know I made the best choice with Robert and Kathleen. They were kind, professional, caring, cheerful, and extremely talented. Our pictures are fabulous! Many of our vendors knew Robert and Kathleen and each and every one of them had the best things to say about them. People who have used them in the past said, "Oh I love them so much". I guess what stands out the most is that Robert and Kathleen are good people. Being extremely talented is the bonus. They brought along Kaitlin to help. She is so sweet. Every time I looked over at her, she had a big smile on her face. It just made you smile! I highly recommend Robert and Kathleen! They are the best photographers around!

If your are still looking for a photographer... STOP LOOKING HERE! The best of the best, they captured everything and most importantly our pictures told a story. Everyone has commented on how beautiful our pictures look. You will not want to say good-bye to this crew of amazing photographers. Pictures really are the most important- these pictures are all we will have to show our grand kids one day.

I had the most amazing experience with Rob & Kathleen. We did our engagement photos with them and they did a great job making my fiancé and me feel comfortable with the posing and modeling we did in the streets of the West Village. Once I saw the pictures I knew we were going to love our wedding photos. Rob & Kathleen helped us plan the whole timeline of our wedding day so that we could fit in all the photos and still enjoy our wedding and spend time with guests. All of their recommendations and suggestions were so helpful and I felt calm and stress free on the day of my wedding having them there. The pictures are absolutely beautiful and we are so happy with the way they turned out. I was able to relive my entire wedding day with the photos they took. They are able to tell a story with their photos and do an amazing job at it. I would highly recommend Rob & Kathleen for any wedding or special occasion.

We were beyond thrilled with the experience we had working with Robert and Kathleen. Every step of the way they were kind, helpful, thoughtful, and knowledgeable and then the pictures turned out PERFECT. They had an ideal balance of capturing both beautiful artistic moments as well as really showcasing our personalities on film. When we began looking in to photographers we were blown away by Robert and Kathleen’s blog and let me tell you all 3,000 images from the day are as incredible as the 30 that they post on their site. The other factor that you don’t see in the pictures is how friendly and caring they are. Every step of the way they were more than just responsive but genuinely supportive in the planning process and they had an attention to details that impressed us through out. The materials they provided us with when we booked them were gorgeously assembled; they were thoughtful enough to get us a small present on our wedding day and just everything they did felt like they went above and beyond. The final factor people don’t always think about is you spend a lot of time with your photographers the day of the wedding and they were fun. The two of them work so well together and made us feel so comfortable and at ease that it really took the stress out of trying to look good and they were able to just capture the love, joy, and laughter in all of our photos which was able to be captured because we were having fun with them while we shot. We have been making sure to recommend Robert and Kathleen to all of our friends who have recently gotten engaged and want to make the same suggestion to you.

Robert and Kathleen are very professional, creative and friendly. They really go out of their way to make a personal connection with the couple and their friends and family. The photos are absolutely perfect -- a great mix of candids showing how everything happened (but with everyone looking even better than you remember!) and posed shots that will be great for an album or a picture frame. We could not have asked for better photos or a better couple to work with. They are happy, caring, and really invested in helping make the big day and you memories of it perfect.

We chose Robert and Kathleen to be our photographers after seeing the amazing pictures that they took at the wedding of a close friend. We were planning a NY wedding, all of the way from Boston so email and phone calls were our main method of communicating. We found that Rob and Kathleen were always responsive and excited to hear about our planning and all of the details that were making our wedding unique.

As the wedding got closer we finally got to sit down with Rob and Kathleen and they were patient and kind when answering all of my 200+ questions. On the actual day of the wedding they drove (1.5 hours away from our venue and their home) to take pictures at my parents house (which was extremely important to me). They were friendly and really put my bridesmaids and I at ease when taking our pictures. Their intern was also along for the ride and was so helpful in gathering all of my various accessories and making sure that everyone was ready to take pictures.

At the actual venue, my husband and I decided to do a first look. They picked a truly picturesque location (in a public park), and in addition to taking pictures made sure to keep other people away so that our moment could be private and personal. We didn't even notice that they were there, but the amazing pictures of that first look prove that they were (yes, they were hiding in the bushes!)

We couldn't be more pleased with our choice of photographers. We have gotten hundreds of compliments on their amazing work, and several friends say that they will also hire them for the wedding. We were initially concerned about the price, but were willing to cut back in other places so that we could have Rob and Kathleen take our pictures. It's a choice that we were happy to make knowing that we would have amazing pictures to capture the most important day of our lives.

I would highly recommend Robert and Kathleen to any couple getting married. They are very easy to work with, and having amazing talent. You will not be disappointed!

Rob + Kathleen were absolutely the right choice for our wedding photographers. I majored in photography in college, and now teach photography to high school students - you can image that I was very picky about who I wanted to photograph the wedding. After speaking with them and seeing their work (visit their website if you are not convinced - http://robertandkathleen.com/blog/ - it's absolutely stunning!) they were the first vendor I booked - before the venue, ceremony site, DJ, etc. I didn't have to worry about a thing concerning the photos from there on out.
They were very responsive with emails, would check in to see how we were doing with the planning process, and answer questions about weddings in general (they have been to a few, and are a good source if you have any questions concerning etiquette, timing, etc)
I have been getting complements on the photographs non-stop - people say it looks like a magazine or a model shoot. They know the right angle to capture every moment and each photo is beautiful on its own.
I have also been to weddings in which the photographer would be in the way and block the cake cutting or the introduction, but I hardly even knew they were there! They still managed to capture the best movements of the wedding!
They also have a calming presence - they tell jokes, complement you and are up for anything you want to do, which is a nice way to relax your nerves.
Rob + Kathleen are completely professional and they take photographing your wedding very seriously. There are enough things to worry about while planning your wedding and on the day of your wedding, but your photography will NOT be one of them if you choose R+K.
When the wedding is all over and the food has all been eaten, the flowers are wilting and the dress is hanging up in the closet, the photos will be how you remember you BIG DAY - don't you want them to be EPIC? Me too - that's why I chose Rob + Kathleen.

Robert & Kathleen are amazing photographers who produce fantastic images! We love our pictures; they capture “us” in a way that we couldn’t have imagined. Everyone who has seen them has said that they are some of the most beautiful wedding photos they have ever seen, and their blog post told the story of our wedding day absolutely beautifully. You really couldn’t ask for better.

Robert & Kathleen reached out to work with us throughout the process, making everything from planning to payment very easy. On our wedding day, they captured every moment without being at all intrusive. We would highly recommend doing an engagement session – not only was it fun (and gave us another set of beautiful images), but it gave both of us a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and with their approach. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made in our planning!

Rob & Kathleen Trenske are amazingly talented photographers. From the moment we met them (a day which included a funeral, travel and traffic delays), Rob and Kathleen's warm, friendly demeanor put us right at ease. When they offered to do an engagement shoot in our neighborhood of Santa Monica and Venice Beach, California, we were elated. The results were eclectic and stunning -- they have such a great eye for location and detail, full of spontaneity and creativity. Come July 4th, we were so excited to have them shoot our Big Day. Robert and Kathleen were wonderful to work with. They were always very responsive throughout the planning process, as well as after while we waited for our pictures and albums. On our wedding day, Kathleen got a bit ill because of the extreme heat, but they had a backup photographer on deck to work with Robert, and not a moment was missed! I am very impressed with their professionalism and work ethic, and the photos are just gorgeous!

There aren't enough positive words to describe Robert & Kathleen Photographers. We met with Rob and Kathleen and hit it off with them immediately. We had an engagment session done in NYC where they photographed us for about 4 hours!!! They made my then-fiance and I very comfortable to be in front of the lens and that was no small feat! Oh, and afterwards, we had a really nice dinner together. But most importantly, our photos from that engagement session were GORGEOUS!!!

And on our wedding day, Rob, Kathleen, and Susan (a 3rd amazing photographer) captured our day. And the results were just breathtaking. I still receive comments from people about our photos. Their work belongs in magazines!!!

I can go on and on about Rob and Kathleen. Bottom line is that they are extremely talented and wonderful people. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Hiring Rob and Kathleen was the best decision that we made in planning our wedding. They are both wonderful to work with, the photos were absolutely amazing, and their prices were incredibly reasonable. The photography was probably one of the most important aspects of our wedding day so we did a lot of research. I continually get compliments on how amazing their work is and how beautiful the photos turned out. We treasure the photos from both our wedding day and engagement session.

Rob and Kathleen were especially patient with my parents concerns and when faced with some trying conversations, handled themselves with such professionalism in person and on the phone. They do tend to flatter quite a bit in what they say about brides and grooms, but then...why not? We all want to look good in print, no? Just don't let it go to your head. Every bride they get is "amazing". The two of them work together like one lens. They were made to take pictures together. I never felt like they manipulated us. In fact I hardly noticed they were at the wedding, except when I needed something and they were "on it". We couldn't have asked for a more professional, quality team. I can't choose which pictures are my favorites!

Robert and Kathleen were our absolute favorite vendors to work with, by far. Their work speaks for itself which is how we found them in the first place. They have an amazing talent that has just blown us away not only with our own photography but that of others. As if their talent wasn't enough, their professionalism and personalities were incredible. They were so down to earth and easy to work with, they completely made us feel comfortable around the camera which both me and my husband are not naturally comfortable doing. And this was one of the reasons our pictures came out the way they did, which was perfect. Any questions we had during the process, they were quick to answer back and always with thoughtfulness and professionalism. We couldn't thank them enough for their work, and we still remain in contact with them to this day, over 6 months after our wedding. We plan to use them again when we have a baby and have without question recommended them to anyone who was searching for a photographer for their own special day. I met with several photographers in my search for someone to capture our wedding. I can't say enough about Robert and Kathleen, they make such a wonderful team!!! Being that they are married, i think they bring something extra to the table in that since they are in love, they know how to capture others in love. They went above an beyond and are extremely professional. They arrived on time and within minutes were already snapping away. They had wonderful ideas for areas to take pictures, as well as poses. We were so thrilled with the pictures and have recommended them to several people. You can't go wrong with Robert and Kathleen, they are phenomenal!!!!

Rob and Kathleen are the gold standard for weddings in Connecticut. They did our wedding 10/4/08 and we are still, to this day, getting compliments on how beautiful our pictures are. Rob and Kathleen were completely professional, but also very friendly. They truly made you feel comfortable. I hardly noticed them at the wedding (which was a good thing) but they caught some of the most amazing moments. I am constantly referring them to friends and family, or anyone I meet! I am beyond happy with my pictures and my experience!

Rob's photojournalistic style was exactly what we were looking for and we could not have asked for more after seeing our end results. I've spoken to many friends who have used other photographers and spent much more money and they have made comments like "I wish I knew about Rob before I had my wedding - mine don't compare at all too what you have." But, the best part about Rob and his wife Kathleen is that they are so down to earth and made what could be a very nervewracking experience into a very comfortable situation. I feel very lucky that I was able to have found such a dedicated photographer and wish them the very best in the future.

We would recommend Rob and Kathleen to anyone!! Their photographs we knew would be beautiful, but they were a blast to work with, very easy going and professional. They did an amazing- AMAZING job. We honestly couldn't have been happier with RJT Pictures. The entire crew was wonderful and so professional. They captured our day perfectly and just as we remember. As any bride knows, there is no shortage of wedding photographers, and it can be a bit overwhelming choosing one. With so many beautiful photographers out there, you want to know the photographer you choose has something extra that makes them stand out. Robert & Kathleen have this. When we first met them, they were so prepared, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in not just our wedding, but us as a couple. When we saw their blog and the time they take to write about their couples, we knew they were in the business of not only taking beautiful shots, but of really connecting with their clients. We loved working with them not only on our wedding, but our engagement shoot also. They were incredibly professional throughout the process as well. They responded to all our emails quickly and our photos were delivered promptly.
But what's most important are the images they capture. They have a very natural approach to their photography, and don't overdo it with fancy technology. They won't be in your face or take away from the flow of the day. If you are looking for photographers that are going to take beautiful photos that show you as you, and remind you of moments, they are a great fit. Hire Robert & Kathleen for your wedding. We are so happy with our wedding photos! They are artistic, sophisticated, and simply beautiful. Rob was willing to work with us in so many different ways to make sure that each location(church, park, and reception hall!) was properly captured. His creative juices were certainly flowing that day, which is apprant in the brilliant shots. I saw Robert and Kathleens' work on Pinterest and immediately appreciated the quality of their shoots. They have the unique ability to really capture the moment. We hired them to do our engagement shoot and to our surprise, their rates were very affordable! On the day of the shoot it was raining and rescheduling another date with them was a breeze. We managed to set up a date 2 weeks later in Central Park, NYC and they did a great job in making us feel comfortable and not awkward in front of the camera. Our online proofs came a few weeks later. The physical proofs on a USB thumb drive in a very attractive wooden box arrived in about 2 months. Great Quality and attention to detail! Highly Recommended!!!

Rob & Kathleen are incredible photographers! I felt that they truly cared about making sure our wedding was captured in the best way. Since we lived out of the state, we had only one true meet and greet with them before our wedding day, and they still managed to take photos that made it seem like they knew exactly what I was thinking. I think one of the most important aspects of your wedding is your photographer. There will be moments you as the bride or groom will never see, but you can look back at the photos and see your guests were having an amazing time. Robert and Kathleen do an amazing job of capturing it all! Also, the best photographers can truly capture the love between you and your husband/wife without much direction from them. That's what I loved most. I didn't feel posed; I felt like I was able to take the time to enjoy those moments with my husband, and they captured those moments perfectly!

Robert & Kathleen are not only talented artists and true professionals, they are also a pleasure to work with. Their approach to managing wedding photography is well thought out and makes the planning and post-event process a true pleasure.
