  We love our photos!

  Rob did a fabulous job capturing the essence of our big day! We really wanted to capture the wedding, not have a wedding to capture the photos. As we looked around at photographers, this seemed to be the theme (spending hours on photos, posing in hundreds of ways to get the perfect photo etc...). With Rob, with the exception of a handful of group portraits we requested, he let us just enjoy our day and be in the moment, and he captured it all naturally! We absolutely love our wedding photos, and got back so many more than we were expecting. Several of our guests even commented on how natural and relaxed Rob and his partner were on the wedding day. They were a pleasure to have around. Thank you soo much!!!!

  Rob and his second photographer were absolutely amazing. Our photos came out so beautiful we couldn't have asked for anything better. Rob was quick to respond and accommodating with all of my requests. Both photographers stayed all day at the wedding and got some amazing candids of our guests. I would recommend Rob for anyone looking for something unique, beautiful, and professional.

  Rob did a phenomenal job at my wedding. He and his 2nd photographer Moe really felt like friends that were a part of the big day. His rates were reasonable and after the wedding he worked with me providing me with a lot of photos. Some of the moments he captured I didn't even notice and I was so happy to see them.

  Until we found Rob, I didn't realize there were different styles of wedding photography. His "fly on the wall" journalistic shooting was perfect for my husband and I. There are so many amazing candid shots of us and our guests interacting, reacting, dancing and just living. We hired Rob not because we wanted a photographer to make us look perfect for a day, but because we wanted someone to realistically document our day. That being said - we've never looked as good as we did in Rob's photos.
  
  Rob provided us with a snapshot of our lives that will forever help us relive the moments that made our wedding day unforgettable. Thanks to his focus on the people who made our day so special, these photos are only going to mean more in the years to come. He was even unconditionally patient with my uncle, also a professional photographer, who had a tendency to jump in front of Rob for his own shot every time Rob was shooting!
  
  It's tough for me to find words to describe how happy we were with Rob. Not only were his photos (and his price) unbelievable, but we hit it off so well with him and his second shooter Mo, by the end of the night they felt like they were part of our bridal party. Not because they were forcing it - exactly the opposite; Rob's and Mo's personalities instantly made everyone comfortable. Rob even stayed until the last song of our reception, which made for some amazing shots at the end of the night.
  
  Rob was very easy to work with. He had one camera on us almost the entire night and a second camera around the room. He provided all of the color corrected files to us at full resolution in a timely manner.
  
  I would unequivocally recommend Rob for any wedding. Even our portraits have a creative flare I haven't seen before. If he's available for your wedding and you like the photos on his website, HIRE HIM NOW!

  We just looked at all of our wedding photos and are beyond happy! Rob was professional and easy to work with from the first emails and phone calls, and flexible enough to accommodate any request. I was immediately comfortable with him and heard from guests that they all thought he was wonderful. He was subtle but I started noticing he was right there to capture every key moment, including some I didn't know of until seeing the photos. The color is rich (even pre-spring bloom) and he framed them beautifully (catching my husband's face between my head and my dad's walking down the aisle, for example)...terrific quality and he was the most affordable photographer we found. Highly recommend!

  Rob was an amazing photographer to work with. I started out looking for photojournalistic photographers (my preferred style) but they were all out of my budget. I happened across a website for photojournalistic photographers and Rob Shook Photography was listed. I sent him an email and he responded very quickly. We had our first meeting shortly after that and before it was over I was giving him a check for the deposit. For Rob's quality of photography he can easily charge what other photographers with this style do, but he was a fraction of the cost. I am so extremely happy with all of the photo's Rob and his second photographer took and have received nothing but compliments on every single one. They were both professional, fun to work with, and at times I didn't even know they were there. If I ever have another event requiring a photographer I will definitely book him!

  Rob Shook is the best photographer a discerning person could want for their event. Rob had shot my sister's wedding the year before shooting mine, and his work was so beautiful, we couldn't think of going with another photographer. Rob's prices are more than reasonable, his approach was always professional and absolutely reliable, and his shots are gorgeous. I couldn't recommend Rob more highly for your wedding or special event.
  
  Rob shot our wedding in three venues over as many days. We had two separate events, and greeted more than 500 guests in the process. Somehow, Rob captured every single guest, covering both events beautifully, and gave us memories that will now last us a lifetime. While all of Rob's shots are gorgeous, we were especially draw to Rob for his talent in capturing candid moments. Perhaps because of his training in photojournalism, or perhaps just a reflection of a natural gift, Rob is able to capture small moments that tell a much bigger story. Rob's candid shots let us in on all of the intimate moments that our guests enjoyed at the events - moments that we missed while cutting cakes and dancing first dances. These are probably our most treasured photos from the wedding.
  
  When our friends saw our wedding photos, they were stunned. There are just so many shots that are uniquely "us" - beautiful and quirky and reflective of all of the time and energy that went into our special day (well, days...). Our friends were so impressed, that a few of them have already used Rob to shoot their events. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience with Rob, and couldn't recommend him more highly to anyone.
