Lovely and Easy to work with

The Riverview Chamber Players did an absolutely superb job at my daughter's recent wedding at the Boston Public Library. We were told by one of our friends who was at one time the Executive Director of the Princeton Symphony that they were outstanding. And we thought so too.
They showed up on time, were well prepared and easy to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to include beautiful chamber music for their wedding day!

Very professional, expert musicians, a great value!

I highly recommend the Riverview Chamber Players for your wedding or special event. Our experience was outstanding. As a classical pianist who studied at the New England Conservatory, I can vouch for their skill as musicians. The music director was extremely responsive to our special requests, including arranging a pre-ceremony rehearsal with a featured ceremony vocalist. They have a diverse repertoire (including classical and popular music), and were just a pleasure to deal with. The Riverview Chamber Players has a wide range of ensembles to choose from, enabling you to find the right palette of musical richness that fits your event’s budget. Orchestra Proposal

I hired 8 string players from Riverview Chamber Players to play a piece for a surprise flash mob proposal for my partner, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The piece was from one of our favorite video games, and the proposal took place at a video game convention in Boston. There was an additional fee for RCP to make an arrangement for the piece I wanted since they did not already have that song in their library, but I feel like the price was fair, and I certainly got my money's worth - the final performance was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I also appreciated that RCP was flexible and accommodating with the options offered - I wanted the musicians to have a chance to rehearse with the dancers that I hired (from a separate company) since they had not worked together before, and I didn't want their first time working together to be the actual proposal; RCP included 50 minutes of rehearsal time at no additional charge in exchange for allowing the musicians to use stands while they played instead of memorizing the piece.

All of the musicians were professional, talented, and elegantly dressed (absolutely nailed the aesthetic I was looking for). Rebecca, my point of contact, is wonderful - she is extremely friendly, welcoming, and all around a pleasure to work with. She responds to emails promptly and answers all questions with plenty of details; I never felt out of the loop or confused about anything.

Overall, RCP exceeded my expectations at all levels, and we will definitely be reaching out again to discuss options for the wedding!

Absolutely Amazing!

RCP played for my daughter's wedding at The Hampshire House in Boston. Their music was absolutely beautiful! It was the perfect addition to the wedding. My daughter was able to select from a wide range of pieces to make her wedding just what she wanted. We chose the string quartet and they were perfect!

String Quartet

We had a string quartet from Riverview Chamber Players play for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Lincoln, MA.

Rebecca was extremely helpful during the planning process. She was very responsive and and her organization and music choice suggestions relieved any anxiety I had regarding this portion of our wedding.

The string quartet sounded beautiful and we received many compliments from the guests (and even some of the catering staff) about how lovely they were. Additionally, the pricing for their services was very competitive and well worth it.

We are very pleased with our choice to hire Riverview Chamber Players for our wedding and would highly recommend them to future brides and grooms.

We hired a string quartet through the Riverview Chamber Players to play for our outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA. They played beautifully and helped bring such an elegant atmosphere to our event. All our guests commented on the lovely music was! They have a large repertoire of classical music and some modern pieces as well. The samples on their website are very helpful and accurately portray the quality of their work. Rebecca is also very well organized - she responds to emails quickly and makes all the planning process a breeze. I knew I had nothing to worry about on the actual wedding day and everything went seamlessly. We would highly recommend the Riverview Chamber Players to anyone!!

I can not thank Riverview Chamber Players enough for their phenomenal service. My husband and I were planning a wedding from across the country and they could not have made it easier. Rebecca was very responsive and so helpful in guiding us through the process. We had little to no experience booking music for an event and Rebecca made it easy for us to make decisions and understand our option. The Riverview Chamber Players were a huge hit at our wedding. Many guests commented on the beautiful ceremony and cocktail music. Rebecca was incredibly helpful leading up to the event with helping me decide which pieces to choose for the ceremony. I had a special request for a piece that was not yet in their repertoire, and she was very happy to learn the piece. It really meant a lot to us to have that played, and it was played beautifully. When I envisioned my wedding ceremony, one thing that kept coming to mind was a string quartet. This idea sounded to me to be so extravagant and probably out of my price range. But, when I found Riverview Chamber Players they had so many packages to choose from. They also had so many samples to view on their website to help me decide on the right composition of instruments and songs. I was so excited to hear Canon in D being played by a string quartet on my wedding day. Just ask my now husband how many times I have played that song over the past year. All in all, Riverview Chamber Player really added that beautiful storybook magic to our wedding day. We received so many compliments and really enjoyed all of the music that was played that day at our ceremony. My only regret is that in the busy-ness of the day I didn't have a chance to meet the players in person. But, thank you to all of the musicians who came and filled the church with your music. You made our day that much more special!! One note for future brides is to be sure that if you choose more than one processional song (i.e. mothers, bridesmaids etc. that you have a pause in between the songs and groups, otherwise the musicians are not able to transition between songs. In the craziness of the day I forgot this minor detail which may have been a blessing in disguise as our ceremony was already quite emotional as it was). Thank you Riverview Chamber Players!!

We used RCP string quartet for our ceremony music in Rockport. They were absolutely out of this world. The bridal party was running a little late and their music definitely helped keep people entertained. Top notch quality and professionalism for music and service. Rebecca was my point of contact and was extremely helpful in terms of sorting out music for a religious service. Would recommend them 10 times over! Not sure how they compare price-wise to other players but my take is that you get what you pay for and they were well worth every penny.

Our daughters wedding was Saturday, July 29th at The Mansion on Turner Hill in Ipswich, MA and to compliment the majestic setting we needed just the right music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Look no further because The Riverview Chamber Players were the perfect answer to the mood we wanted to create. From the moment I heard them perform and spoke with Rebecca Strauss I knew we had made the right choice. Their programing choices range from Bach to Beethoven, Puccini's O mio babbino caro from Gianni Schicchi to Ramin Djawdi's theme from Game of Thrones and everything in between. They will learn anything you special request. You may choose from their instrumental ensembles including combinations of strings, flute, trumpet for whatever classical pieces you love. Rebecca guides you through the ceremony choices with professionalism and grace so that each piece sets the perfect mood. Amazing, accomplished musicians.

The Riverview Chamber Players were absolutely amazing. They played the music for our wedding reception and cocktail hour, and they were wonderful. I was fortunate in that all of my wedding vendors were amazing, but Riverview Chamber Players were by far the most organized. Rebecca spent the time to discuss the type of music I was looking for and what her group could offer. She sent me a questionnaire prior to the ceremony and followed-up beforehand to confirm my choices. Having everything planned well in advance eased the stress right before the wedding day. Rebecca's advice was excellent and she was extremely helpful and easy to work with. The music at the ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and it helped enhance the elegance of our event. My husband and I could not have been more pleased - I would highly recommend using Riverview Chamber Players!

It was really nice to have professionals who knew what they were doing and needed very little direction. It was one less thing that I had to worry about when planning our wedding. The music totally added a nice elegant feel to our special day. I really hope in the future we will have another occasion to have this group play at an event. The music and the musicians were the icing on the cake.

My husband and I chose Riverview Chamber Players to play at our wedding at the Lyman Estate last month. We are so happy we did! Rebecca and Riverview were wonderful - especially because I was a terrible communicator. I felt a bit overwhelmed at times and was really lousy about responding to emails; but Rebecca was patient and wonderful about following up with me. The musicians themselves did a wonderful job; I knew they were there and could hear the music but I never had to think about what they were doing. And the Riverview website itself is very helpful, containing their whole repertoire and many, many samples of their music, as well as suggested song lists for different events. I highly recommend Riverview!

Riverview Chamber Players did a fantastic job at our wedding! We hired the string quartet for the ceremony and also cocktail hour. They were very professional, and fantastic musicians. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with Riverview Chamber Players! They were very professional and played everything beautifully and at the exact moment we wanted them to play it. I really loved their vast music selection (they were the only players I found that offered La Vie en Rose- of which I decided to walk down the aisle to). They really made our ceremony and cocktail hour extra special!

Just a beautiful experience! Cannot thank Riverview enough for their performance/service on the day of our wedding. Courteous, professional, not to mention, superbly gifted and talented. The Riverview Chambers Players performed at my wedding this summer (August 2013) and did a wonderful job. Rebecca was on the ball in terms of organization and SO helpful in choosing the music played during the ceremony, looking for music not in their normal repertoire that suited my particular taste. Additionally, they learned a piece composed by my sister and performed it beautifully on the day. I felt they really went above and beyond to make it a special day and was so grateful that they took the time to learn and practice the additional composition.

We planned our destination wedding for Cape Ann from North Carolina. We had no difficulty connecting with Rebecca about our vision, musical choices, or logistics. Rebecca made herself very available to us and was able to answer our questions thoroughly while offering advice in the areas where we were not sure. Our wedding was planned for the weekend when Blizzard Nemo hit the Boston area. Despite a very frazzled bride, a state-wide travel ban and three feet of snow, Rebecca and the RCP did all they could to adjust to the changing conditions and were there on time when the roads opened back up. I can't say enough about the RCP's professionalism and the quality of their beautiful music. Thank you Riverview for helping to make our wedding so special!!

We can’t praise the performance and professionalism of the Riverview Chamber Players highly enough. The music was exquisite: the guests loved it. Our wedding was a few weeks ago, and guests are still talking abut how beautiful the music was. Rebecca is extremely knowledgeable about appropriate music selections and, as a result, she was very helpful when we were choosing pieces for the ceremony and reception. In addition, we wanted a vocalist; Rebecca selected a singer who was remarkable. We expected that the music would be wonderful, so we hired an A/V service to record the performance. Now we can listen to our wedding music any time we want. We contracted the string quartet to play for 4 hours. Had we known how much everyone was going to enjoy their performance, we have contracted them for longer! Our wedding would not have been as elegant without the Riverview Chamber Players.

The ceremony and cocktail hour music from Riverview added the perfect ambiance to our wedding day. Rebecca was extremely professional to work with and very prompt in answering any questions as well as working out particulars. I researched quite a few Musicians and found Riverview to be the best value and top quality.

We had a string trio for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Rebecca Strauss was extremely easy to work with and made very helpful suggestions for ceremony music, and the music for our ceremony was beautiful! In addition to the processional and recessional we incorporated a musical interlude during our candle lighting that was very moving. The live string music really contributed to making our ceremony special and memorable. I highly recommend the Riverview Chamber Players!

These guys were by far the easiest vendor that we worked with. All of their musicians are extremely talents and profession. I would hire them again in a second.

I can’t say enough about Rebecca’s music, her team, her professionalism, and her caring ways. To make a long story short, Rebecca was able to fit us in her busy schedule at the last minute and she and two other players (a string trio) played beautiful music to our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. She guided us through the process of creating a playlist for the ceremony based on music samples from her website and hymns that I knew. She was open to suggestions for the cocktail hour and everything worked out perfectly!

Riverview Chamber Players did an outstanding job with ceremony music for our wedding. Rebecca Strauss, Music Director and Jaya Varma, Assistant Director were extremely responsive. They worked within our budget with their suggestions. Our guests loved the music and continue to talk about the event.

Rebecca was very professional and open to ideas. The group played our special requests for processional/recessional beautifully. We were very preoccupied in the minutes leading up to our ceremony and didn't even have time to say hello to them beforehand. But they are so experienced and professional that while we worried about this and that, RCP knew exactly what to do and contributed to the proceedings flawlessly. Their timing and playing was excellent.

River View Chamber Players was a delight to have at our wedding! Rebecca (the director) was wonderful to work with during the planning process and the music was perfect for the setting and just what we wanted. We were married in a courtyard and the 3 string instruments worked out great. Thanks for being a part of our special day!

Rebecca was wonderful to work with and also helped me pick the music, which was thoughtful. The only issue we had was that the musicians did not play the right music at the right time and changed songs in the middle of walking down the aisle. I understand if there was some confusion, but during such a crucial part-- it would have been nice to have a consistent song all the way down the aisle. My recommendation to anyone is to be clear and triple confirm how the music should be played.
