Your venue search stops here! My husband and I got married here in May 2025 were in love with Riverdale from our first visit. Every aspect of the venue is gorgeous, including both ceremony sites. It ended up raining on our wedding day and it truly did not even matter because the covered option is just as beautiful as the outdoor option. You are required to use the in house caterer but they have tons of options and everything was absolutely delicious. Riverdale also provides a coordinator who works with you from start to finish. Our coordinator, Madison, was amazing. She was so friendly, helpful, easy to communicate with, and totally made our dream wedding day come to life. On the day of, we also worked with assistant coordinator Emma. The 2 of them took care of absolutely everything and made our day run so smoothly. I am so glad that we chose Riverdale for our wedding, I could not recommend them more!! -

Maddy was so responsive throughout the planning process and both she and Emma were so communicative, efficient and supportive during the rehearsal and wedding day. Myself and my husband got married at Riverdale Manor on November 15th 2024. To be honest, we fell in love with this venue the second we laid eyes on it during our tour. The venue inside and out is GORGEOUS and honestly has such a quaint magical feel to it. It has an upscale rustic vibe that I knew was exactly what I wanted. The venue offers its own catering which was so nice because we didn't have to worry about a thing with the food at all. The food was AMAZING and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything was and how good the food was. Monica was our wedding coordinator and she was an angel. She answered all of my questions (and I loaded her up with them). I think the weeks and month leading up to the wedding I was so anxious about every little detail and she was always so quick to respond, never getting tired of answering my questions and putting me at ease. I will never forget the moment I was sitting at dinner at our sweetheart table and I looked around at the reception and thought ... 'wow, they really made my dream come true.' Monica did such an amazing job making everything look exactly how I wanted it to without a worry. It was the best day of my life and I am so thankful for my experience at this venue with their staff. -

I would absolutely recommend Riverdale Manor to anyone looking to book a wedding venue. Monica and Maddie were a wonderful team and were incredibly responsive from the time we booked 2 years ahead of our wedding to the day of. Maddie was our day of coordinator and she made sure the day went off without a hitch. The food was amazing and we are still getting compliments from guests 3 months later! The grounds are gorgeous and even though it rained a bit on our day, it was still perfect and photos came out great. Prices are affordable and they have so many options and really work to stay in your budget. Do not hesitate to book RM for your day- it will be perfect! -

My son was recently married at Riverdale in Oct. 2024. Our coordinator, Maddie, was great! She was the 3rd coordinator assigned to the wedding over 1 year, 9 months but the transitions seemed smooth and the event was extremely well organized. I was impressed with Maddie and the rest of the hard working staff. I had a smaller role in the planning so I cannot comment on the communication up to the wedding day.
I appreciated the tasting we had to make sure of all our food choices. We did change the menu based on that tasting. We had stations instead of a sit down dinner. The food was delicious and presented so beautifully! Many of our guests commented on it. The bartenders also did a great job. It was nice to save some money by bringing in our own beer/wine/liquor.
The venue was gorgeous! The pavilion and patio were so pretty and the grounds were beautiful. Having the farm house to dress/take pictures was so nice and super convenient. We also enjoyed having the ballroom along with the patio to use throughout the night. It allowed for dancing but also quieter conversations.
I would highly recommend Riverdale for a wedding! It was a magical day!

As a photographer, this was a beautiful venue to work at! Grounds are big for different backdrops and the scenery is amazing, especially a sunset. very helpful staff as well.

My husband and I got married at Riverdale at the very end of December 2023. It was the perfect venue for our holiday wedding. We appreciated the staff's communication, attention to detail, and overall kindness to our guests. My husband and I felt at ease throughout the entire planning process; having Thyme and Seasons catering at the venue was so helpful. The food was beyond delicious and everyone left well-fed! Our cake, also from Thyme and Seasons, was so beautiful and tasty. We cannot recommend Riverdale Manor enough! We are so grateful to have found such an amazing venue that made our wedding so magical! -

Riverdale Manor was a great venue for our wedding. We had our wedding in late November, so we got married in the pavilion, where it was heated and very comfortable. Everything looked so great on the day of the wedding - the ceremony, the cocktail lounge and ballroom were all as good as we could’ve hoped. We also really enjoyed working with Monica as our wedding coordinator. She made everything so easy for us and handled all our details with ease. We felt like we were in capable hands from start to finish. Thyme & Seasons Catering also did a great job with all our food, everything tasted great and there were lots of options to choose from. FYI, if you do choose Riverdale, you’ll have to use Thyme & Seasons as your caterer. But overall, we were very happy with Riverdale as our venue, it’s an easy five stars for us! -

My wife and I had our wedding at Riverdale Manor on a scorching hot day in late July 2022. But really our story with Riverdale began a year earlier. After getting engaged, we scrolled through what must have been hundreds of venues, looking for a location with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, searching for a place that felt like it represented us as a couple. I will always have to my credit that I’m the one who found Riverdale Manor.
We visited and met Melanie, who would be our thoughtful and endlessly patient coordinator for the next year. Melanie made all of the details and options digestible and was attentive to our many questions. She showed us the space and it was even more beautiful in person than in the photos online. I would highly recommend making the trip and taking your time walking the grounds. It is peaceful and charming, with all the modern amenities you could expect.
In choosing Riverdale Manor as our wedding venue, we were also choosing Thyme & Seasons Catering. Some couples may prefer a venue at which they can bring in a separate caterer, but to us this was a bonus. We had a tasting the winter before our wedding and were impressed.
In the months that followed, Melanie answered every single little question we had, usually within a day. She never made us feel foolish for asking, and fielded our queries and requests with kindness. When our wedding day finally arrived, everything went without a hitch. If you are looking for a venue and coordinator that “just handles it,” then Riverdale and Melanie are your picks. It was really, honestly a magical day, and Riverdale a big part of that. This is a place that will exist in our memories forever, and we couldn’t be happier about that.

Monica and her staff at Riverdale Manor made my daughter's late January wedding perfect! The day of the wedding, they handled everything from set up to boxing up the centerpieces, etc. at the end of the night so we were all able to just enjoy the wedding. Having a winter wedding means that weather can be an issue. Being able to hold everything inside at Riverdale Manor from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception made it so much easier for the guests. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the food was awesome. We did stations and they were a big hit! Thank you Monica for everything. It was truly a perfect day. The light dusting of snow made the outside photos awesome! -

Everybody says to prepare for something to go wrong at your wedding, but truly nothing did. Melanie responded to tons and tons of emails and many changes beforehand. And when the day came, she ran everything like a well-oiled machine
The venue itself is gorgeous. The wedding was over a month ago, and people are still complimenting its perfection for our romantic fall wedding. I was going for fairytale forest with lots of different jewel tone colors, and it was perfect without feeling like a basic barn or a stuffy castle. Pictures attached.
Note: The pricing is itemized, down to every napkin. To some, this is a minus because it’s a lot more work for the client. To me, it was a plus because we weren’t stuck with a pre-made package and could custom-tailor every detail and make it fit our budget.

From the very beginning, we were treated like royalty. Monica gave us our first tour and we fell in love with the grounds. She was then our point of contact from there forward, making the planning process so easy.
We were able to drop everything off the day before, which made life a lot easier. All we did was provide pictures and the staff put up all the decorations, exactly as we had imagined and sometimes better than we ever could have thought.
The caterer with the venue (Thyme & Seasons) was excellent. Accommodating staff topped off the night! The bartenders knew everyone's drink orders by the end of the night and kept them hydrated. The assistants helped pack everything up and got everything into our cars so we never had to be worried about a thing. -

Where to even begin? Riverdale Manor is utter perfection. Period. The second I stepped foot on the grounds, I knew it was meant to be our wedding venue. It's breathtakingly beautiful everywhere you look and at every time of day. The outdoor and indoor options are both to die for, which eases a lot of stress when talking about Plan B options if your first choice is to have your ceremony outdoors. The land has an endless amount of great photo spots that will give your photographers and videographers all kinds of fun things to work with. But those are all the highlights you'll learn very quickly after you visit. Let me tell you about some of the things you won't know until during or after your big day...
1) You and your guests will be OBSESSED with the food! You'll get a tiny hint of that at your tasting, but you will be blown away by how delicious every single thing is the day of. I wish I could have their halibut, bacon-wrapped shrimp and cake every day!
2) The staff are exceptional at what they do, and they are so sweet to your guests. (Danny in particular was amazing and so helpful!)
3) Every single detail you plan will be perfect. Be sure to soak it in!
4) Your coordinator will make sure your vendors have and know everything they need to to ensure your day is perfect.
Maureen was our wedding coordinator, and I can't rave enough about her. She's incredibly detail-oriented and the most amazing thought partner. She'll not only bring your vision to life, but she'll help you refine it along the way. And the day of, she's handling it all so you can just be present and enjoy the day you worked so hard to create. We are BEYOND grateful for Maureen and her expertise -- if you have the honor of working with her, you truly have the best in the business (though I have no doubt every coordinator here is exceptional). Our day wouldn't have been the dream that it was without her.
Riverdale will always hold the most special place in our hearts. We know you will love it endlessly, too! -

Riverdale Manor was the perfect location for our picture perfect snowy winter wedding day! Our ceremony and reception were both held on the grounds and both were equally as beautiful. We worked with Melanie as our coordinator, who was extremely responsive in planning and answering any and all questions in the year leading up to our event and was instrumental in making the day seamless and stress free. We had so many compliments on the venue, service, and food. My husband and I went in with the expectation that not everything would go as we had planned on our big day, but our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have asked for anything to be better or different. I look back on our big day with so much happiness and I hope that every bride gets to experience her wedding day the same way that I did at Riverdale Manor. -

Booking our wedding venue was by far our most difficult choice. When we first saw Riverdale Manor in person, we just fell in love. Riverdale's property is gorgeous. One thing that was important to us was having a beautiful back up plan in case it rained, and Riverdale offered a beautiful pavilion. The staff are wonderful individuals and strong in their communication skills and friendliness. They assist you in wedding planning down to the last detail. Our day went so smoothly thanks to the staff. We had carving stations as our reception food, and many individual complimented how much they loved our food as well as the property. I still look back on our wedding photos and am just in awe at how gorgeous of a place Riverdale is. I am beyond grateful we booked them for our wedding! Our wedding was in early November. Best Venue in Lancaster hands down
All my guests won't stop raving about how beautiful this venue was, how delicious the meal was and how professional the staff was and treated all the guests. I am do happy we found this venue, Melanie was great to work with, always a swered all my questions quickly and she made sure everything was exactly as I wanted it.

When my husband and I got engaged, right away we started researching venues. Riverdale was not on my list but we had numerous friends who suggested we check this place out. So glad we did! After leaving from our tour of Riverdale, my husband and I looked at one another and knew we had found our venue.
To start, Riverdale is absolutely stunning. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The farmhouse, ballroom and gazebo are the perfect combination of elegant and rustic. Another major reason we picked Riverdale was because of our “plan B”. We both wanted an outdoor wedding. Other venues we looked at did not really have a rain plan or if they did it wasn’t a very good one. At Riverdale that’s not the case at all. If you can’t get married on the grounds due to the weather, the gazebo is a perfect back up plan!!
Monica was our coordinator during the whole process. I cannot say enough great things about her!! She was absolutely amazing to work with. She kept up on track with planning everything. She answered all our questions (even the annoying ones) and was always so great at responding quickly. Thanks to Monica I was not stressed at all leading up to wedding. I knew she would help make sure everything ran smoothly.
Finally, our wedding day was a dream come true. Monica made sure everything stayed on course and on time which is such a relief. My husband and I were able to just enjoy ourselves all day/night. The food was seriously DELICIOUS (we still have guests telling us how great our food was). Everything was perfect!
Honestly, Riverdale is one of a kind. If we could do it all over again we would choose this venue in a heartbeat!! We could never thank Monica and the staff enough for making our wedding so perfect! -

Beautiful Place with helpful and amazing staff. Made our day just more memorable. Melanie Helped us through the whole process, she was wonderful to work with, professional, attentive, helped us with every detail you can think of. There were many things we hadn't even planned as we were new to this like every other couple getting married for the first time. Melanie kept us on schedule through out the whole wedding. Riverdale manor has the Best food, it was delicious and filling, the staff packed us food to go which was a plus because during the wedding we barely ate. All of our guest were amazed with the venue and their catering, to this day I still get great comments about it. Couldn't agree more. I would look into booking them! -

Mu husband & I feel completely in love with this venue at 1st sight. Melanie was amazing! She made sure everything ran perfectly. The wedding was outside by the river and was stunning. The reception looked incredible and we did a lot ourselves so Melanie was fantastic helping to put last minute touches on things. The venue was the perfect size for our 140 guest list. Our guests raved about how gorgeous the reception hall and the grounds were, but also about how amazing all the food was. It was the most wonderful day and I couldn’t recommend them enough! -

Perfect Wedding Venue!!
My husband and I got married there in April, and Riverdale Manor exceeded our expectation in every way! Monica was our wedding coordinator and she did an excellent job in keeping constant communication with us during the planning process and throughout the wedding day. She was very organized and ensured that every detail was taken care of, which I greatly appreciated. She assisted with the pre-wedding setup and the guest raved about how beautiful the entire venue looked. I gave her a vision and she brought it to life. I could not thank her enough! The venue itself was breathtaking! I was hoping to use the outdoor grounds for the ceremony, unfortunately the grounds were wet from the day before, and they were unable to set up on the lawn. As such, we had to use the pavilion. The pavilion was beautiful and it created a very intimate ceremony. The overall ambiance of the venue was breathtaking and we received so many compliments. The food was also delicious and a good serving size. The staff and bartenders were all extremely professional and kind to our guest. I would highly recommend this venue!! It was perfect! -

Our March 1st, 2019 wedding at Riverdale Manor could not have been better! Monica worked with us for the past two years to make our vision come true. We loved how gorgeous the grounds were in all types of weather. It being early March we wanted a venue that could handle, sun, rain, or snow. It snowed the morning of our venue and the snow with all of the lighting was just gorgeous. We received so many compliments on the food, decor, and overall ambiance of the venue. We chose our photographers (Tony Gibble), transportation (Schultz), and officiant (Rev. Theresa) from their preferred vendors list and we loved each of them!! Our whole day was completely stress free all thanks to the staff at Riverdale Manor, Monica, and the amazing vendors they recommended!! -

The first wedding decision we made a year and a half ago was choosing our venue, Riverdale Manor. We worked with Monica from the moment I inquired about the venue 2 years ago, to our wedding day this past Saturday. Monica was an abolute pleasure to work with!! she was always patient with my many emails with questions and my detailed outlines/timelines. She knew our vision and was able to set-up the perfect Ceremony & Reception spaces we oculd have ever dreamed of. Our wedding was perfect from start to finsih. The venue alone is simply stunning (they decorate with greenery for the Holidays!) and their staff is FANTASTIC! We were so lucky to work with a venue and staff that did SO much for us, and all of their couples. They get the linens, handle all the food, set-up all your supplies day of, have gorgeous bridal suites, pack everything up at the end of the night, and are there to make sure the day is as perfect as it can be. I have never worked with a site that was so organized until working with Riverdale. Monica is the greatest ever and working with her and her assistant Julie was so lovely. They never made me feel rushed or like a burden. They were there to make sure everything flowed nicely. They also pack all your supplies up at the end of the night AND give you leftovers!! This was so so exciting for me and my husband because we hardly had a moment to eat, so having leftovers, our cake, and desserts, was so special for us. If you are thinking about Riverdale, I suggest choosing them! They're the best in the business! -

We had a wonderful experience with Riverdale Manor and with our coordinator, Melanie. She took care of the numerous big and small details throughout the wedding planning process to ensure that our wedding was a beautiful, enjoyable night for us and our guests. We couldn't believe that everything went so perfectly!
You get a lot for your money at Riverdale Manor, which is not something I can say of the other venues we toured in the Lancaster and Philadelphia areas. While planning, I was all about simplicity, and having catering in-house and a wedding coordinator included in the package made planning much easier on us. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, reasonably priced wedding location with great, professional service. -

We got married on September 17th, 2017, and everything was executed flawlessly, from the start to the finish. Our coordinator, Katie definitely knew her stuff, and was very quick at responding and guiding us through the planning process. On your wedding day, the grounds at Riverdale are yours to use to create your dream space, and your event is their sole focus that day, which is something that really appealed to us. While they do have specific guidelines and rules, if you think about all of the things you CAN do with the space, rather than the restrictions and the things you CAN'T do, you will be able to create your vision easily! The ceremony and reception timeline ran seamlessly, thanks to Katie and her assistant, and we had PLENTY of time to eat, dance, mingle, and truly ENJOY our day- it was so so awesome to not have to worry about a single thing! My husband and I work in the hospitality industry, so the food and service were extremely important to us. Not only was the food flawless, but all of the bartenders, service staff, runners, bussers, and clean up crew were polite, friendly, attentive, and did everything possible to keep us happy! For brides considering Riverdale- this place runs like an oiled machine. They have very specific vendors and staff that work with them every weekend, and know the drill- so trust them and use their experience to your advantage. Do consider a venue like this that has high standards set for the level of hospitality they provide. You may think that they are being too strict or limiting, but in the end, your guests will really notice the difference! You don't need the 20inch sparklers anyway- trust me ;) To finish, we have to send a HUGE thank you to Katie- you are wonderful and great at what you do. We worked with Maureen Raezer who made the planning process easy, stress-free, and fun! I would highly recommend Riverdale Manor to anyone who is looking for a venue that will take care of you and make sure everything is planned out. As a bride, it was amazing to not worry about the little details – the staff at Riverdale took care of setting everything up and making sure the day ran smoothly. Our guests who attended the wedding could not stop complimenting us on the venue we selected. The food was also a major hit! Guests loved the quality of the food and appreciated that the food was delivered to each table at the same time, no tables were left waiting (even if they were sitting at a higher table number). On top of everything else, Riverdale also provides multiple locations to get married (indoors and outdoors). Luckily we had amazing weather and we were able to get married outside by the river, but if there would have been rain… their indoor location at the gazebo is just as beautiful! Thank you Riverdale Manor for providing my husband and I with a day that we will never forget!

We fell in love with the site immediately - the lovely lawn by the river and the pavilion full of lights were romantic beyond belief. It felt like a fairy tale. Monica was our coordinator, and I wish she could be present for every major life experience. She had great ideas on how to make the day flow better, and was a calming and thoughtful presence. The food was delicious, so we didn't mind having to go through their caterer. We also appreciated the flexibility to accommodate various food needs (gluten free, vegetarian, etc.) and to save some funds. We also saved a lot of money by getting married on a Sunday in early November, so if that's a concern consider off-season to keep budgets low. -

If you are are Riverdale bride choosing your menu right now, we especially recommend the Pomodore Pollo and the grilled eggplant salad: DEEEELICIOUS! Our coordinator is Maureen, and we have been really enjoying getting to know her. She has a ton of experience and really knows her stuff. She also has a fun sense of humor, which we love! If Riverdale has any negative reputation in reviews, it's that people have said that there are a lot of rules and regulations. I would like to address that. So far, I have found the regulations to be relatively minor, and totally reasonable. I honestly do believe that the sheer amount of events that they hold gives them a lot of insight as to which regulations are going to make your wedding go without a hitch. I haven't asked for anything really important that Maureen said she couldn't or wouldn't accommodate. I look forward to leaving another review and addressing that again after our actual wedding, but I'd like to say: so far, so good!!! P.S. This place is GORGEOUS during the winter season and can accommodate any weather condition perfectly. We just visited for our tasting, and I have to tell you that I was almost wishing we had booked a winter wedding there...that's how gorgeous it is! They are also offering a great discount now for remaining Sundays in 2016! Please have a visit, you won't be disappointed! -

User1960528 Sent on 12/09/2014Maureen and her staff allowed my husband and I to have our perfect wedding. The venue at Riverdale is phenomenal- there are so many options! We had our wedding on the grass, cocktail hour in the pavillion and reception in the ballroom. I never wanted an outdoor wedding as the weather was a concern, but seeing what Riverdale had to offer, I couldn't pass it up. Most of our guests were from out of town and were blown away Riverdale. We received endless compliments, and everyone had a great time! -
