Best venue in town!

My husband and I got married at San Sebastian Catholic Church and then had our reception at the River House. I was born and raised in Saint Augustine, Florida and have seen a lot of wedding venues in town. I knew once I saw the River House that I would someday have my wedding reception there. There is something different about it than all the other popular venues in downtown St. Augustine!

This venue was the most impressionable to us for many reasons. The classic and timeless architecture and decor, the beautiful views of the water, and the secluded, yet near downtown location made this venue a must for us. We knew right when we walked to the door that we would get married there. What makes it even better is that this venue gives back to the community through Council on aging for the elderly.

Constance and the River House staff were such an amazing help to me and my family through every step of the wedding planning process. Everything was well run, organized, and amazing! They truly know what they are doing! We had a lot of guests from out of town and they were blown away by the venue, the views and the staff. We had a large wedding, so the river house was the perfect place to accommodate all of our guests comfortably. The cocktail hour was one of my favorite things because the view of the water and the weather absolutely perfect. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we have the River House to thank for that!

A few things that made our experience even that much better…

1. The tables and linens get set up the night before

2. You are able to drop off things the day before your wedding

3. Are florist was able to get into the building on our wedding day around noon

4. Even though our reception did not start until 5 PM, the wedding party was able to get there immediately after the ceremony around 3 PM (2pm at the earliest) to enjoy Chick-fil-A platters and take pictures

5. River House allows you to bring in your own food and alcohol, so that made things much more affordable and we were able to select things that best match to what we wanted! ABC liquor also was able to take back a large amount of our alcohol which amounted and huge savings! We did a Buffet (Purple Olive), which I was sort of nervous about for serving purposes, with such a large guest count (200), but the room that they set the Buffet up in was absolutely perfect! The flow of guests in and out worked perfectly and I am so happy we did Buffet. River house works closely with a lot of the vendors, and give you a list of approved vendors. Everything was seamless and you could tell they all enjoy working together! Dessert table was set up in the ballroom near the piano so that guests could have access to that at any time.

I truly do not have one negative thing to say about our overall experience at the River House. I only wish it could’ve lasted forever! I highly recommend this venue and this staff for your wedding to help you make your dreams come true… Because they will, and they will go above and beyond what you ever, ever expected!

Amazing Venue!

We hosted our wedding at the River House and it was absolutely perfect! The setting was stunning—every detail of the space added to the beauty and elegance of our special day. From the ceremony to the reception, the atmosphere was magical and created unforgettable memories for us and our guests.

The staff was incredible. They were professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Their organization and care allowed us to truly relax and enjoy every moment without stress. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to help bring our vision to life.

If you’re looking for a venue that combines breathtaking beauty with exceptional service, River House is the place. We highly recommend it for any couple planning their big day!

Our dream wedding venue!

We toured several wedding venues in the area and were at a loss until we finally stumbled upon the River House. The River House is gorgeous with water views, a huge parking lot, and is just a mile from the historic district. We especially loved that we had the whole place to ourselves and really had the freedom to personalize our wedding by bringing in our own vendors and decor. The cherry on top is that our wedding helped benefit a non-profit organization, the Council on Aging, and the programs that they have for seniors during the week. We had such a perfect experience with the River House and highly recommend this venue for other couples!

Amazing experience from beginning to end!

Pre Booking/Tour:
My husband and I knew that we wanted to get married at a place on the water, but had a large ballroom to accommodate our large families (150+ wedding guests). We toured a few places that met either one or the other condition, but not both, until we toured River House! The property is absolutely beautiful and the view of the Matanzas River and the lighthouse do NOT disappoint! I knew that this was THE venue for us after we left- I just could not stop thinking about it! Pre-booking, touring, and wedding prep: My experience with River House staff was seamless and easy, even with a change/replacement in staffing at some point throughout the past year.

River House provided a lot of the essentials (tables, chiavari chairs, silverware, glassware, easels, bird cage for cards, high chairs, booster seats, etc.), which took away a level of stress and need for coordination on my part. There is also ample parking on site, with an overhang to drop off guests. Given some of my grandparents are on the older side and limited in their mobility, I found River House to be the perfect venue for them -- wheelchair accessible ramps, large restrooms, etc. In addition, I appreciated that the proceeds from the event go back into the community programs for senior citizens!

The day of the wedding, the venue was perfect! It was tidy, clean, and ready for a party! All my guests were in awe of how gorgeous the venue was, especially the view outside. Even for a fairly large guest count, I felt that the ballroom wasn't cramped and everyone fit on the dancefloor.

My only piece of feedback is that I so wish we could have access to the bridal and groomsmen suites the entire day of the event! It is doable to coordinate getting ready in two different locations, but having that all day access would remove a layer of complexity, coordination, and stress from a planning perspective.

Overall, I loved my experience at River House. My wedding day was absolutely perfect and I am giddy reliving the memories from that day. The RHE staff were so helpful, responsive, and kind. If I could re-do my wedding, I would definitely do it at River House again.

A wedding beyond our dreams!

Hope and Jonah were married at the picturesque River House (RH) on July 21, 2023. Our entire experience at RH was superb. Allison Wilson is extremely effective and knowledgeable. She guided us when needed and supported us with our special requests and worked diligently to make them happen. With a budget in hand the River House became possible for our family because of their summer pricing and ability to plan and execute in only 80 days. Christian engagements are often short, and RH kept us on target. Nothing was missed. The views were spectacular during the ceremony, we will forever look admirably on the lighthouse and sailboat in the harbor named Joy that will adorn our photos.
Our guests were comfortable indoors roaming the halls and library during cocktail hour with a beautiful porch bar to quench thirst. And the reception was equally beautiful and provided ample space for our 150 guests.
Lastly, we looked at many venues and the “get ready” space doesn’t compare to others. We had ample room and access to necessities. RH even had comfortable chairs and a fan to keep the bride happy during that final hour. RH offers a screen to protect the groom from accidentally seeing his bride in the building before the ceremony. We even had space to leave our decor for our RH recommend vendors who set everything up for us. Bottom line, my family and I (mother of the bride) we’re able to be fully present and enjoy every moment of the day because of all RH offers. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect venue. Thank You RH!

Amazing Wedding Venue with beautiful views

My NEW HUSBAND and I LOVED the River House! We both fell in love with St Augustine on a Family vacation with a few years back. Once we got engaged, we knew immediately we wanted to get married in the Old City.

After a lot of research online, since we live in Kentucky, we both knew RH was the venue. My soon to be sister-in-law visited this beautiful place and took a tour with us on Facetime. We booked it that day over Facetime!

Everything about River House was perfect- the amazing backdrop, the decor, the horse statues in the library, the chandelier in the ballroom and best of all... ON SITE PARKING! You would not regret choosing this venue, the price for everything you are getting is 100% worth it. Book RH, it is the best venue in St Augustine.

It doesn’t get any better!

If you a searching for the perfect St. Augustine wedding venue, look no further! The River House is such a magical spot and not only do you get the feel of downtown but you get to be slightly out of the hustle and bustle. Allison and Devan went above and beyond to ensure that the venue was ready for my wedding and guests. Even a few days after Hurricane Ian flooded the streets Allison was on top of communicating with me that the venue survived and was ready for us. The building itself is absolutely stunning, I loved that I could get married outside with the water behind us while still having an indoor reception, and the best part, our guests didn’t have to travel between! They are so accommodating and I couldn’t be happier with my choice to be at the River House on my best day! If you’re considering this venue, you have truly found a hidden gem!

The most beautiful venue in the most beautiful city. Came at the recommendation of my planner and river house did not disappoint. From the day my husband and I walked in we knew it was the place for us. The staff is 5/5 star. Professional, caring, detailed oriented. I would get married here every day if I could! Dream Venue!

The River House was my dream wedding venue and it most certainly did not disappoint. They were nothing but absolutely amazing to use through our long journey. We booked the venue in 2019 for a March 2020 wedding but unfortunately our date was 5 days after Florida was shut down and we had to postpone. We ended up postponing multiple times due to surges in Covid with concern for the older family members and we just really wanted to have a safe but fun and not super restricted celebration. The River House team was so understanding and flexible each time we had to sign a contract and we are so thankful we were able to keep a contract with them, worth every penny! We finally had our day July 3rd, 2022 and when I say they made sure everything was perfect, I mean it. They were so understanding and helpful and we didn't just feel like another random wedding- we felt like they really cared about how our day went. The views of Saint Augustine from this venue are enough to book it but trust me when I say that their customer service, hard work and genuine dedication to their craft is enough to book them now! You will not be disappointed and your guests will rave for days about how beautiful of a place it is. Thank you River House team for making our awaited celebration the best day ever.

A wonderful delight with service and venue

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! From start to finish, River House made our wedding dreams come true. Allison and Devan are amazing at what they do. They are prompt, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. We got married in the terrace and had our reception in the ballroom last weekend. The venue is breathtaking. The service is spectacular. My guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. The bartenders made amazing drinks and people rarely had to wait. The night started and ended perfectly, I am beyond happy with my experience. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the St. Augustine area, this is it. No need to look further. You won’t regret it!!!!

Beautiful and Classy Wedding Venue

My husband and I were married at The River House on February 11, 2022. The venue is breathtaking, classically designed, and has an unbeatable view along the river. The staff was great to work with and responsive to all my questions and requests (we stopped by multiple times). There is plenty of parking on-site for guests and close to downtown. Your event is the ONLY event on your rental day. The design makes it easy for vendors to navigate the venue without interrupting the ceremony or reception. The reception room has a dedicated dance floor which is open and spacious and placed next to a full-size kitchen.
The venue required us to have a coordinator (a day-of or dedicated wedding planner), which is honestly a blessing in disguise for those against a coordinator. They provided a very long list of recommendations which brought us in touch with most of our vendors. The location was great, and the ceremony was breathtaking. Luckily, the venue provided a backup location in case of bad weather (we did not have bad weather). They managed our linen order and allowed us to use their stock of wedding decorations (easels, extra tables, cake stands, lamps).
We truly appreciate that this venue did not price gouge us or limit our creativity to specific vendors or enact a multitude of rules that others venues in St. Augustine try to do. We were able to bring our alcohol and choose our vendors without limitations. Finally, we were lucky enough to bring in the stuff for our wedding the day prior and store it in a locked room before the rehearsal (I believe this is only allowed if there are no events the night before). I honestly do not have anything bad (or anything deserving of less than five stars) to say about the venue, but that it’s a uniquely beautiful venue with a kind and responsive staff who work hard to make our dream wedding a reality. My husband and I recommend this venue to every couple planning a wedding or event in St. Augustine and would not make any changes if we could have our wedding again!

All around amazing!

As soon as we toured the River House we knew it was the perfect place to have our reception. The location is perfect; it’s one of the few places in St. Augustine where parking is a breeze for guest. The view is just beautiful overlooking the water and the lighthouse.
Likewise, the team at the River House is so kind and accommodating. They stay in contact with you during your whole planning process. It was a pleasure working with them.

The Most Beautiful Venue!

October 1st Wedding

The venue is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. SO many different options for the way you set up the venue and options to create the perfect day. The fountain and bayfront give 2 different picture options that are amazing. Everyone was extremely easy to work with and went above and beyond.

The perfect venue

The River House was everything I could've dreamed of for our wedding! Our theme was "elegant/royal" and the River House has ALLLLL the little touches to make it so perfect. From the gorgeous entrance, to having nice spacious rooms for both bride and groom, to the library for cocktail hour and great pics, to the beautiful reception area that is classy but you can make your own, finally to the back where you can have a stunning ceremony with water/boats/dock & the light house in the background. Also the fact that they provide parking is HUGE in St Augustine. Constance provided superb customer service with quick responses and answers to any and all questions. The walk through was super helpful.. between her and my coordinator they thought of everything and it went so smooth. The two ladies who helped make things run smoothly the night of the wedding were so sweet and helpful too! I'm so thankful I picked this venue!

Absolutely Wonderful

We originally booked with the River House in 2019 for a 2020 wedding but Covid-19 happened and we rescheduled they were incredibly easy to work with and the venue gorgeous and has tons of parking (that is a huge plus in St. Augustine). I'm so happy we used their venue for our wedding day.

Amazing venue!

The River house was the first venue we looked at and after several viewing venues, we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else! It was so beautiful and Constance was the sweetest from day one. Our wedding was truly a fairy tale and I can recommend this venue enough!

Perfect Venue

The River House was the perfect venue for our big day! Located on the river with a view of the lighthouse for your outdoor ceremony can't be beat! Constance & her team were great with communication throughout our entire process. Highly recommend this venue for the perfect St. Augustine wedding!

Best Venue in St. Augustine!!

I knew exactly what I wanted in regards to our wedding venue, and the River House checked all the boxes. I wanted something that overlooked the water (but did not have me walking on grass or sand), and then transitioned into a ballroom for our reception. The quality of service and team at River house were amazing to work with. Constance was so sweet and extremely responsive. Being an out of state bride, I had to do a virtual walk thru, and she made it perfect! Things about the venue that I especially loved: 1) you are the only couple there getting married/no conflicting events 2) you hire your own caterer (from their list) + bartenders (BYOB) so I felt you saved money and got to have exactly what you wanted to eat and drink 3) The outside and inside are gorgeous so no need to really decorate much so can save $$ there 4) My package included lines and china so that made my life easier 5) PARKING!!!!!!!!!!

Best experience!

River House Events is amazing! My husband and I just had our wedding there two weekends ago and it was the perfect day. Since day 1 when we booked the venue, Constance and the staff at River House have been absolutely wonderful. They covered all the details during the selection process and once we secured the venue they were welcoming, accessible, and so helpful! Also, the venue itself is absolutely stunning! We had so many compliments. Turns out the weather was horrible on the day of our wedding so we had to move the ceremony inside at the last minute, but I never lifted a finger nor did I have to worry about anything. They were so great and handled it all. I would strongly recommend this venue!!

Best Venue in St Augustine

This venue was a dream! Constance and everyone at the venue helped to make your day go as smoothly as possible. It's the perfect location for weddings in downtown St Augustine. It has parking and is a little off the beaten path of downtown but easily accessible for anyone staying downtown. Our ceremony was held outside on the river. They also have the plan b option to move it inside if the weather doesn't cooperate. Our reception was a mixture of inside and outside which gave our guests the ability to space out if they wanted or felt more comfortable doing so. River house wedding

River House met all our expectations! Constance and her staff were all so cordial and incredibly professional in accessing our needs. The whole venue is so spacious and picturesque. Beautiful and elegant

Having to plan a wedding is stressful without a full blown pandemic going on however the river house staff, especially Constance, has been absolutely AMAZING throughout the entire year. Every step of the way someone was always in contact with me and always keeping me up to date with Covid protocols. Absolute perfection!

The River House exceeded all my expectations for my November 2020 wedding. The River House is a classy and elegant venue with up-to-date style and decor. Constance and the rest of the wedding planning team were very helpful in ALL aspects of my wedding- you can tell they have a love and passion for providing brides and grooms their dreams weddings, and I would recommend them to everyone. Perfection

If you are considering getting married in the Saint Augustine area, The River House gives you the most BANG for your buck. We looked into other venues in the area and you were limited to only their caterer/vendors as well as being limited to a small space. The entire grounds of The River House is yours for your whole duration of time. They give you recommendations of the vendors they have worked with and prefer. The view inside and out is stunningly beautiful. Lastly, the staff was a complete joy to work with. Constance is the head honcho here and she will respond to your emails at the crack of dawn which is super helpful for a stressed out bride that gets delayed responses from most other vendors! Everything about this place is 100% worth it!

Perfect Venue

Wow! A top-notch venue! Constance and the River House staff were so accommodating when we had to postpone our wedding because of COVID. We had the most perfect wedding day at the River House. Beautiful Venue

This is a gorgeous venue and its right on the water. My guests loved all the space and the views! I chose to do my ceremony inside instead of outside, and it turned out SO beautiful. Constance was very professional and a pleasure to work with. I am so glad I chose this venue and highly recommend it!

You cannot find a better venue in St Augustine. You’ll find breathtaking views, a charming interior and have the privilege of working with great staff. The team at The River House is incredible. They work so hard to make your day special. Added bonus is the free parking for your guests! You will not find that at any other downtown location!

Amazing and beautiful

From the moment I walked into River House I knew it was where I wanted to get married. My mom and I teared up as we walked out onto the terrace for the first time with the beautiful view. Perfect Venue

The River House was the perfect location for our March wedding reception. The building and ballroom are beautiful spaces, but what really sold us was the patio overlooking the water and lighthouse. Our guests had a fabulous time and were so impressed by the venue. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we were so happy with our decision to host our reception at the River House. Constance and her team were so kind and easy to work with leading up to the event and on our wedding day. From a practical standpoint, the ample parking for guests was a huge plus. It was also great to have private rooms available for our band and wedding party. We loved that we could choose our own caterer (from a recommended list with plenty of great options) and bring in our own alcohol. We were able to stock an open bar with high quality liquor and mojitos as a signature drink at a fraction of the cost of open bar packages at other venues.

Fall Wedding

My husband and I live 2.5 hours away, planning our wedding in St. Augustine we thought would be difficult since we lived so far. It wasn't at all! The River House staff was incredibly helpful in all aspects of our wedding. Through their recommendations and knowledge it was amazingly easy and stress free. I would recommend this venue for anyone looking for a beautiful, well kept facility. We couldnt have asked for a better wedding day!

Picture Perfect Wedding Venue

The River House has it all for your St. Augustine wedding venue; the view, the amazing staff and ample parking! We had our ceremony outside overlooking the picturesque river & lighthouse, as well as cocktail hour on the veranda. Our reception inside was magical and the best night of our lives. Dream Venue 10/10

Where to start... It truly was a dream venue! Thank you to Constance and her entire team! From going to view the venue for the first time (we live 3 hours away - and found this venue online), to walking us through the details and booking process, I knew that River House would be our venue from the first walk through. They walk you step by step through the entire process, and were very personable and accomodating (we had 135 guests). Even when I was in town and just wanted to pop by to get inspiration and ideas, they had no problem with me walking around in each room to get ideas. Almost all of our vendors had previously worked with River House and had nothing but great things to say as well. They let us bring our stuff from out of town ahead of time instead of day of which helped tremendously! We had large homemade pilings that were used on each side of the ceremony where we stood, and my dad and husband Carter were able to construct them ahead of time which was a huge time saver. Everything was very clean and organized, the bridal suite was perfect for all of the girls to eat, and do final touches in, also plenty of mirrors. I also did my first look with my dad there, and the guys had a great space to get ready (with the beautiful view of the river). We did not do a first look, so they did a great job of ensuring we didnt see eachother prior to the ceremony (us girls even had our own access to a seperate bathroom, blocked from the rest of the venue). The weather was perfect for our outdoor ceremony, but we were aware that if it does rain they would have a PLAN B option. That was also a huge benefit knowing they have a plan should we needed to move it inside. It truly is hidden gem tucked away with AMPLE parking for everyone if needed, as well as the most incredible view of the lighthouse in the background! Thank you all so much for making my wedding dreams come true!

We love the Riverhouse!

Such a beautiful venue with amazing staff! The venue was everything we could have wanted. So awesome you can bring your own alcohol and the caterers they allow are all awesome. We loved our wedding and had so much fun!

Beautiful venue for a wedding! Spectacular views of the water!

The River House was a gorgeous place for a wedding! The building is beautiful and elegant and sits directly on the water, so the views are spectacular as the sun sets. Although it rained on our wedding day, they had the most stress-free "back up plan" inside the Grand Ballroom and it was still just as beautiful inside still facing the water through windows. Constance and the River House team were very experienced and so sweet and wonderful to work with, and we appreciate all they did to make planning as smooth as possible! The venue also has parking and a kitchen for the catering company to work out off, which are both very important but often overlooked necessities! We couldn't have chosen a better place for our wedding and would highly recommend River House!

My dream wedding

My wedding at Riverhouse was a dream come true! If I could do it all over again I would choose to do it there again. Everything about the venue was beautiful and perfect. The dance floor is big and beautiful. The library and outdoor area were perfect for cocktail hour. My guests loved the amazing river view and dock. The staff there is amazing and they helped me out with so much. If you are thinking about checking out river house DO IT!!

We loved EVERYTHING about the River House

The River House Events venue is the perfect spot, especially for weddings. We had so many compliments on how beautiful it was, and we really didn't have to do much to decorate! It's already beautiful as it is. Constance and Sarah are very easy to work with and they are very quick with responding to emails and phone calls for any questions. The price might seem high at first, but it includes so much and the vendors they work with are amazing - so take a look at their list before searching for your own. I am so glad we had our wedding at the River House. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Our day was perfect! Thank you, Constance!

Best decision we made!

The best choice we made while planning our wedding was choosing Riverhouse! From the first day meeting with Constance I knew she was going to be such a pleasure to work with. She was always there to answer any questions and made sure everything was planned out perfectly on our wedding day. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful! The ceremony background of the river and lighthouse makes for the perfect pictures. The inside is already beautiful so it doesn’t take much decorating. The pictures online don’t do it justice so make sure to schedule an appointment to go see it, you will not be disappointed! Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful the venue was. We cannot say enough good things about Riverhouse!

Best venue in St. Augustine!

We had our wedding reception May 25th, 2019 and it was perfect! My husband and I live in Jacksonville but all of our guests were coming from Pennsylvania. We picked the River House because if he indoor/outdoor flexibility! We wanted our guests to embrace the Florida lifestyle! We didn’t have to worry about the weather and got to enjoy the beautiful views of the river and lighthouse. There also have their own dock where we took amazing sunset photos. Lastly, Constance and her staff were a joy to work with and always willing to help!

Amazing... (is an understatement)

Wedding day was perfect. Constance and everybody at River House, take your event personally and seriously. No detail was overlooked. River House is still a somewhat "newcomer" to the venue circuit, but you wouldn't know by looking at it. If you want your wedding in St Augustine, you want it at River House. The online photos really don't do it justice! Give Constance a call, and take a visit. You'll feel welcomed from the moment you step foot on the grounds, knowing you've found the right place. From start to finish (and beyond), the professionalism and attention to detail were unsurpassed. I just cannot say enough positive things to express...

Beyond expectations

My wife and I were brought to tears over finding the River House for a number of reasons. First and foremost the St Augustine lighthouse is in view from the outside and that is where we got engaged. A unique space with plenty to remember it by, the entire house is a wonderful setup with plenty to offer for your needs.
Constance was a delight from the get go and my lasting memory will be a small detail she made for me. During our 30 day walkthrough I made a joke about adding some emerald green cloths into our red/blue/neutral decor and was given appropriately confounded faces by our planner and fiance. What I didn't expect when my bride and I sat at our table was to find a single green napkin sitting underneath my plate. Brought tears to my eyes.
We had a 130 person wedding and the space was very comfortable. Their usual setup for catering which is in a room to the side of the main great hall is a fantastic setup and impressed me from day one. The library makes you feel like a king and there is more than enough parking. tThe views from the water, especially having the dock attachment and the lighthouse in the background make it a picture perfect backdrop.

Best choice we made

My husband and I wanted a short engagement and we were blessed enough that a couple canceled and we were able to take over their Saturday slot at the River House. We just had 2 months to plan our wedding and Constance and Sara were so helpful!!

Booking here is more than simply getting a venue. I felt like I had a second wedding coordinador. She helped me fill the gaps of the details I was missing and even provided free rentals. Constance takes pride in every wedding she takes on and I was so happy I chose the River House for our special day!

The River House was a beautiful venue and setting for my son and daughter in law's wedding. The ceremony was out back along the river and was gorgeous. The ballroom was perfect and the round dance floor was exquisite. The draping, chandeliers and lighting made it the perfect back drop for pictures. The venue allows you to pick all of your own vendors giving the flexibility to make the day your own. Thanks to Constance and her team for everything. My son and his bride had a wedding to remember forever!!!

From the day we called Constance to schedule a tour of the River House, I knew the service was going to be perfect. Constance and her staff are so professional and really care about how your wedding day will be. Whenever I had questions, Constance replied within minutes. The 1 month walk thru was very organized and efficient, it made some of the jitters go away knowing Constance and her staff had everything under control. The venue is gorgeous! Friends and family loved it too! It was the most perfect day and we are so happy we chose the River House!

The venue is gorgeous and the staff is extremely professional, friendly, and flexible with anything you need. The venue is also big enough for a larger wedding in St. Augustine, which is hard to find. I would highly recommend having a wedding here. My guests could not stop raving about how beautiful the venue was!

The best location is St. Augustine to host a wedding reception is The Riverhouse.....tucked away from the noise and crowds this beautiful venue is but a short distance from most area churches yet provides a beautiful water view (you can see the lighthouse across the river) PARKING and complete privacy for your event. The main ballroom is simply gorgeous and the dance floor back drop is a row of windows looking out to the large terrace and water. You really need very little decor as the venue as is is stunning. Caterers have access to a full professional kitchen and their are multiple other rooms that can be used by the bridal party.
We were so pleased with the staff at the Riverhouse and in particular, Constance who KNOWS all the BEST vendors in the area to use. I would highly recommend this venue as it was outstanding!

River House really is the perfect venue. It's so beautifully decorated and the design so well thought out. Its ample size and parking (unheard of in downtown) were amazing benefits as well. Our wedding at the River House was everything we could have wished for and more! The venue is so beautiful and it was everything we were looking for. It's on the water across from the light house which makes for a beautiful outdoor ceremony. The ballroom is spacious and allowed for all of our guests to be able to gather in the same area. The staff at the River House is amazing and Constance was great at helping us with any questions we had along the way. We wouldn't change a thing and we are so happy we chose the River House for our special day.

We got married at the River House on 9/30/17 and it was absolutely beautiful. We fell in love with the River House as soon as we saw it! Right in the heart of downtown St. Augustine with great views, we knew it would be the perfect place for our wedding. What we loved about the River House was it could hold a decent amount of guests comfortably and we were able to provide catering of our choosing along with a host bar where we could provide our own alcohol. Constance and staff were professional, helpful, responsive and organized. Despite the rain,they really went above and beyond to make our day special. Thank you RH!

Our experience with The River House was absolutely spectacular. We are a military family that was trying to plan the wedding from afar which was difficult at times. The River House thoroughly accommodated our needs and ideas, putting our dreams into reality. Our night truly went amazing. Before our wedding night we thought maybe the "best day of our lives" was hype, but through the efforts of The River House as well as our other services... the hype was real! I cannot put into words how much I loved The River House. The minute I walked into this venue, I knew this is where I wanted to have my wedding! The view of the water and the ballroom were just breathtaking!! The best part is there is parking for your guests, which is really hard to find with other venues in Saint Augustine.

Constance and her team were very helpful and made sure my wedding day was perfect! I wish I could do it all over again! It was everything I dreamed of and more! Thank you to everyone at the River House! :)

If you are on the search for the perfect place for your Fairy tale wedding, you have found your venue! The River House Events has a huge open spacious ballroom, as well as a gorgeous waterfront out door area. Our guests can not stop talking about the breath taking views on the dock, the out door sitting area and the HUGE dance floor. Constance and Madesyn were so easy to work with and great with communication. Any question, concerns or suggestions I approached them with they were able to answer and help. Our final walk through and the weekend of our wedding they made it easy for us to drop everything off and feel at ease and stress free. You are able to provide your own alcohol here which was a huge money saver!

We had originally came to St. Augustine to look at The White Room and then we found this hidden gem! We are so glad we did because it had so much more to offer. Look no further, there is no better venue!

There is nothing I would change! Constance and her staff were phenomenal. I started planning my wedding a year and half in advance and anytime I was in St Augustine and wanted to stop by she was open to having me walk around (I must have popped in on her half a dozen times). She answered phone calls/emails very quickly. She has much experience with weddings and it shows from day one. She is very flexible with meeting times and pretty much anything you may need or want for your wedding. I would recommend to everyone!

Where do we begin... We knew the River House was perfect the moment we stepped through the door and could see all the way through their French doors outside to the beautiful Matanzas River. The River House possesses everything you could ask for in a wedding venue - timeless elegance, intimacy, indoor and outdoor decor that draws upon St. Augustine's heritage of classic Southern hospitality and Spanish romance and accessibility for guests of all ages. We felt an ease at the River House that we did not experience anywhere else - both from Constance, who was incredibly responsive and helpful with every request, and from the fact that all our vendors loved the River House and knew the venue like clockwork. Once we booked the River House, everything quite literally fell into place - we had a clear vision for our wedding day. At one point during the reception, we paused to look around - we had guests dancing wildly on the circular dance floor, couples strolling down to the dock to admire the stars, and mothers with babies in rocking chairs on the porch. It was everything we had wanted. Thank you very much to Constance and her team for making this our dream wedding!

Everything about the venue and the personnel was a five! My husband (now!) and I don't live in the area and are so lucky we found the River House as our venue. They took care of all our needs. They were always very responsive and answered our questions thoroughly. On a scale of 1-5, we give it a 10! From the location, to the venue, to the staff, the River House was the most accommodating and perfect place to spend the evening with our friends and family on our wedding day. Constance is a miracle worker, and if you haven't thought of something, she already has. We can't thank the staff enough for making our special day so memorable!! The parking is a huge bonus considering it is downtown St. Augustine, it makes it so much easier on guests. I have only AMAZING things to say about the staff at River House. We had our wedding there on the first weekend of October, and it was absolutely amazing. Not only is the venue gorgeous and well taken care of... but the staff is always ready to help. Constance dealt with my random emails with random questions, and always answered everything quickly and happily. The most beautiful venue in saint Augustine! Constance really went above and beyond to help us have the most beautiful wedding of our dreams. She made sure to help us with every little detail and gave us ideas on what to do to make our wedding unique. The venue views are stunning from the dock, to the pavers where the ceremony was held overlooking the Metanzas river and the lighthouse, to the beautiful ballroom. Constance made sure we had time to look over the venue, and answer any question we had, and also helped create the vision we had in mind for our wedding! She also has great opinions on vendors for anything you could think of, and for every budget! Parking was a breeze, as there was plenty of it! I also loved that the bridal room was blocked off so the groom and groomsmen were unable to see any of us, we even had our own private bathroom! The River House was amazing to work with! On our initial walk thru my husband and I knew as soon as we walked out onto the back patio we had to have our reception there! It is absolutely breathtaking. On our final walk thru a month out - Constance went over ever since detail with us and our wedding planner and caterer. I felt so confident and comfortable after going over everything and knew our wedding day would go off without a hitch. Well -- insert the biggest hitch ever... Hurricane Matthew hit St. Augustine the weekend of our wedding. So after going back and forth with Constance and our other vendors and watching the weather, we all made the agreement that the safest and best decision would be to reschedule for a different weekend. Constance made everything so easy for us to switch and we had everything rescheduled within a couple hours. So our new wedding date came and everything went off without a hitch! It was the most beautiful weather and setting to get married in and we had a blast the entire night. We HIGHLY recommend the River House!!

I absolutely LOVED the River House. I looked at several venues, but as soon as I went to see River House, I knew it was the one. The building itself is beautiful and the view of the Matanzas River from the back patio is breathtaking. I wanted something with a historic feel, but still modern enough to not be outdated, and have some sort of scenery. The River House was a home run for me. Constance and the RH staff are so incredibly nice and helpful. She even wrote the sweetest card thanking us for including them in our special day! River House was worth every penny :)

The River House is such a picturesque venue with so much to offer! Our guests loved having so much space to explore and spread out, and enjoyed being able to walk down the dock to enjoy some fresh air. Constance is a consummate professional, and has so much experience in the wedding industry! She was such a pleasure to deal with, was very responsive, had answers to all our questions, and made the whole process so simple and straightforward. I would strongly recommend considering the River House if you are looking to get married in St. Augustine! There are many advantages to choosing the River House over other St. Augustine venues, and it is worth your time to take a tour! The venue sells itself and books up far in advance, so make sure you are setting up a tour as soon as possible.

We came upon this venue over the internet and ruled it out because we thought it was out of our budget. However, it really wasn't. It took about 30 minutes to figure out that this venue was well within a reasonable budget. About thirty minutes after viewing the venue, my now husband looked at me while I looked at him and we just knew that this was where we would get married. The rest is and will be history. We are so thankful for such a beautiful place to honor our wedding.

The staff is great, the staging areas were perfect, the bathrooms were super nice (seriously, you want all of these things), and both the outdoor setting and indoor ballroom were beautiful.
