  So good youll want to get married over and over again

  Other than marrying my wife, this was the highlight of the event. The pizza was other-worldly good. We live 2 hours away from Richmond but have and will continue to drive up there simply to get this pizza. The best part about this company, while the pizza was ambrosia, the owner Joe was even better. Immediately after the ceremony he made a small plate and hand delivered it to my wife to ensure she ate before having drinks. He was constantly checking on us and the table. Top notch service by one who truly cares about providing a phenomenal experience. Cannot, cannot, cannot recommend highly enough.

  Best pizza ever!

  My husband and I LOVE River City Wood Fire, which is saying a lot for me particularly as I'm not crazy about pizza, but we fight over these! When it came time to choose a rehearsal dinner caterer, we know we'd be calling Joe. Everyone LOVED their pizzas, salad, swings, and we were touched by the engraved pizza peel with our names and wedding date on it which
  now lives in our kitchen. They are a delicious and fun option for any part of your wedding celebrations! Trust us, people will be talking about that meal for many days to come! HIRE THEM! You won't regret it!

  AMAZING Food & Service!

  We are so happy we hired River City Wood Fire Pizza to cater our wedding! Joe and his team are awesome and make some delicious pizza. So many of our guests asked us where our food was from because they wanted to go get some on their own! Joe also made accomodations for a few of our guests with dietary restrictions (gluten free & vegan). He even put 8 pizzas aside for the bride and groom to take home since we didn't have much time to eat at the wedding. We were so impressed and will definitely make the trip to Richmond just to eat his pizza again!

  What a perfect vendor for a wedding!

  River City Wood Fire catered my wife and I's rehearsal dinner. It was a fantastic experience. Meeting with Joe for the tasting was great, he's a cool, kind and caring dude and spent time going through options with us. The crew that worked the event was awesome as well. Incredibly responsive and courteous throughout the dinner. The pizza was by far the best we've ever had and our guests would also agree. We could not have asked for it to be any better than it was. River City Wood Fire is awesome and I would highly recommend using them for a wedding, rehearsal dinner or catering any other event.

  Rehearsal dinner

  River city came out during the remnants of hurricane Ian to cater my daughter’s rehearsal dinner. Joe was incredibly accommodating to all my guests who had special meal requests! The pizza was fabulous! He and his staff were also so nice and visited with our guests! An amazing time was had by all!

The first thing we planned for our wedding was what food we were going to have - of course River City Wood Fire - and we never waivered.
  The process of booking them was very easy and they were very responsive. Joe, the owner, is hilarious and there to help with the event and anything you need!
  We had to change our wedding venue three days before the wedding and River City were saints and went right along with the change and made it stress free on the part of the food.
  Day of the wedding they made the best food. Everyone that came to our wedding RAVED about our food. Even my vegetable adverse sister loved their Sir Brussels pizza!

  My husband and I absolutely loved the food RCWF provided for our wedding, our guests STILL rave about how incredible our food was! They kept it warm and made sure the food was fully stocked the entire time no one was waiting on more at any point, they could just walk up to the buffet and grab it, it was killer from the planning, to the apps, to the main course, to clean up. They totally crushed it, I recommend them a million times over!

  River City catered my wedding in September. The food was amazing and all of the guests were so excited to have pizza instead of “traditional” wedding food! Joe was great at communicating and quick to respond to all emails and inquiries. Definitely book them for your next event!

  RVA wood fire Pizza is the BEST!

  I cannot say enough about the experience with Caroline and the team! The pizza was outstanding, hot, and plentiful! All our guests loved the varieties and we just can’t enough about how delicious it was! The staff were engaging, helpful and loads of fun! Can’t wait to hire them again!

  Exceptional Experience!

  I can't emphasize enough how positive of an experience my wife and I had with River City Wood Fire. From trying to decide on a catering service to the day of the event, Joe and his team were amazing. The initial tasting was a blast and showed just how many excellent pizzas they have to offer. Between that time and the event, they were very communicative and helpful regarding our reception. On the day of the event, they had everything working efficiently and were very thoughtful about providing a good experience to our dairy-free and gluten-free guests. They are so considerate that they even made an extra pizza for a friend who could not attend due to an illness.

  I can't emphasize enough how positive of an experience my wife and I had with River City Wood Fire. From trying to decide on a catering service to the day of the event, Joe and his team were amazing. The initial tasting was a blast and showed just how many excellent pizzas they have to offer. Between that time and the event, they were very communicative and helpful regarding our reception. On the day of the event, they had everything working efficiently and were very thoughtful about providing a good experience to our dairy-free and gluten-free guests. They are so considerate that they even made an extra pizza for a friend who could not attend due to an illness.
