Our decision to choose Ristorante di Pompello for our September 2023 wedding was undeniably one of the best we made. From our initial interaction to the wedding day, Heidi was a beacon of professionalism and guidance. Her prompt and thorough communication, whether in person, over the phone, or via email, was second to none.
Heidi's insights into the various catering options were invaluable. She didn't just act as a caterer but became our advocate, ensuring the catering services were tailored perfectly to the size and needs of our wedding. Her genuine opinions and suggestions about the menu showcased her deep understanding and commitment to excellence.
The food was simply sublime. With five main dishes, including thoughtful vegetarian and dairy-free options, our guests were in culinary heaven. Many remarked about the quality, and the only "complaint" was the inability to sample everything due to the generous portions! Even the venue's team was so impressed, they sought our caterer's details to recommend them for future events (but also so that they could eat the food again).
The quantity was as commendable as the quality. Catering to around 150 guests, not only did everyone enjoy their meals, many had seconds. We were left with six pans of leftovers. The surplus food was delicious the next day, but there was still so much remaining that we donated the rest to a local homeless shelter not to waste it.
As for the day-of staff, they were the epitome of professionalism. Punctual, efficient, and flexible, they accommodated on-the-spot changes effortlessly. Their seamless service made them blend into the background, ensuring the focus remained on our special day.

Heidi was amazing to deal with for our small elopement style wedding. I contacted her just a few weeks ahead of our date and she was kind, friendly, and made the process easy. There is a ton of selection for food and different packages, and she helped us choose the best for our small number of guests.
The delivery was simple and arrived on time and there was tons of food! We had a good variety of appetizers, breads, and main dishes and everyone loved the food. Special shout out to the dill salmon and fettucine alfredo (our personal favourite)

We had the best experience with Pompellos! We scheduled a tasting with them before the wedding and loved it so we decided to use them for our wedding dinner. When we were touring our wedding venue, they gave us a list of suggested vendors. We looked at the one for Ristorane di Pompello and I called to arrange a tasting. When we arrived for it, Heidi the coordinator was already there ready to welcome us, and fully prepared. My fiance and I felt so special and important as Heidi made sure that we knew all of our options to have the exacy wedding day we wanted.
Most important: the food was AMAZING!! We have friends with special dietary needs, and we were able to make sure they had food they could eat.
Heidi made sure to follow up with us as the wedding approached to make any final changes needed.
On our wedding day, everyone raved about the food. The serve was attentive without getting in the way, making sure there was enough of everything.
Afterwards, they packed up the leftovers for us. And there were A LOT of leftovers! We were able to share with friends and also eat for almost a week which was wonderful because neither of us was in the mood to cook in the days following our wedding. Highly reccomend.Ristorante Di Pompello's reply:

We hired Ristorante Di Pompello as our caterer for our wedding and we were thrilled with the flavors and the service! The pasta buffet was delicious and the buffet attendants did an outstanding job! The company even included disposable dinnerware that matched my color scheme! My guests loved having so many different options of pasta to choose from. I had a lot of guests cancel last minute so I had a ton of left overs that we enjoyed again with family for the next several days! Still delicious!Ristorante Di Pompello's reply:

We are so glad that we chose Ristorante Di Pompello to cater our wedding. The food was delicious, service was amazing, and the price was very reasonable.
We were especially impressed at how accommodating they were when it came to dietary restrictions. My wife and I are both vegan and wanted to have a vegan wedding, but were fully prepared to settle for a single vegan option to avoid paying an arm and a leg. When we asked about vegan options from Pompello, they told us they could make everything vegan, and would work with us to customize dishes to our exact preferences. They even made different vegan versions of the same dishes for us to try at the tasting so we could choose which was our favorite (multiple pestos, homemade vegan meatballs, you name it)! They really went out of their way to create our entire spread just for us, which was so far beyond our expectations. We ended up with an incredible spread of appetizers, a diverse pasta buffet, salads, bread, the works, all vegan and without having to pay extra!
Heidi was incredibly professional and helpful throughout the planning process and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted for our big day. We came in without much of an idea of what our needs were, and she guided us through the whole thing, made helpful suggestions, and made our job as easy as possible.

Working with Heidi was super easy and she was very professional! We had a super fun time visiting the restaurant and tasting lots of options. It made it hard to narrow down our menu!
The pricing was absolutely amazing for the quality and quantity. I have already recommended this caterer to many other brides.
Day of was a breeze. The staff got everyone fed in 30 minutes. It was absolutely delicious and we had lots of options and great accommodations for special diet requests.

Had loved eating at their restaurant for years and when the time came to tie the knot we were so happy to choose them to provide the food and drink/bartend. Extremely helpful navigating their menu and what they could provide. Took all of our questions and changes in stride. Got married on 9/13/25, The food was amazing and the coordinator was very responsive and helped talk us through everything. All my guests couldn't stop talking about how great the food was and the attendants were all lovely. They even took advantage of our photo booth by the end of the night so it was a great surprise to see their photos! Had a good chunk of food left over and they packaged it up and our family was able to continue to enjoy it while we were on our honeymoon!Ristorante Di Pompello's reply:

Pompello’s was great. The food was delicious, especially the salmon entree —so bomb. They cater at the Troutdale House all the time (it’s a block away from the restaurant) and have their system/routine down to a T. They had absolutely no issues, or better yet, if they did have issues they didn’t bother me (bride) with it and just handled it. Price I listed included food, beverages, bottles of wine, bartender (4 hours), plus gratuity for 51 meals @$17/meal. Sorry, no pics of the food set up but rest assured it looked lovely. -

We were looking for a more affordable catering option for our wedding that still had great tasting food and could accommodate my vegetarian partner. Pompello fit the bill! I explained to the head of catering Heidi how in previous weddings with buffets we had been one of the last tables called and sat around starving while we watched others eat, or how by the time we got to the buffet they had run out of certain items. She was able to work out a compromise within our budget to avoid this issue, without paying for full service catering. We requested salad and bruschetta on the tables ahead of time so that people could eat as they waited for their table to be called up. The food was delicious and the only complaints were that they eggplant parmesan was not served with marinara (not sure why, it was when we sampled it), and the bread for the bruschetta was not originally out on the table with the salad and bruschetta mix. My mom had to ask them to put the bread out - some people apparently thought it was just a tomato salad. Also I think there was some confusion/miscommunication on the nonalcoholic drinks and cake cutting. I had provided iced tea, lemonade and water for guests who arrived before the ceremony, and Pompello provided NA drinks during the reception, but there were no NA drinks during the cocktail hour on a 90+ degree day... Not necessarily their fault, just miscommunication between us and Pompello and the bartender. The NA drinks they did provide were supposed to be iced tea, lemonade, water, and coffee, but for some reason we got coffee, water, and some kind of fruity pink drink. Not sure what it was, but it wasn't bad, just not what we expected. As for the cake cutting, we wanted to save the top tier and serve the bottom tier, but for some reason the whole cake was saved. Again, this was probably just a miscommunication between me and our coordinator and the catering staff. We were making the decision last minute. I also found out that no small plates were put on the dessert table (which is something that I had requested from Pompello) and because of this many of our guests only took one dessert at a time from the table instead of a plateful. Between that and not serving the cake and several guests canceling last minute, we ended up with a LOT of leftover dessert. One last thing I'll mention here is that I asked about garbage in an email to the venue and Pompello several weeks before the wedding and thought we had it resolved, only to get an email the night before the wedding from Pompello saying that garbage removal was not included in the contract and they could do it for an extra fee. I paid the extra fee to get it taken care of because what choice did I have at that point? Just not something you want to have to worry about the night before the wedding. All in all, nothing mentioned here was a big deal, and arguably none of it was solely Pompello's responsibility (except maybe the bruschetta), but in a relatively hiccup-free wedding, almost all the minor issues we did have involved catering. In spite of that, I would still highly recommend Ristorante di Pompello if you are looking for a wedding caterer. They are a crowd pleaser for sure - who doesn't love pasta?!Ristorante Di Pompello's reply:

During the planning phase of our wedding, we thought that this caterer was going to hit a homerun based on how we had set them up for success. But the day-of execution was below average. 30-40% of our guests were vegetarian due to religious reasons. We had ordered the eggplant lasagna for these guests specifically, but during dinner, they were told it was beef lasagna and stayed away from it completely. Additionally, the food was not marked, so many of these guests were not pleased when they found tiger prawns in their dinner. The fact that they do not mark their food was not even discussed during the planning phase. This would have been important to know.
Great, great value for what you pay and what you get. You won't find better. But the service levels and professionalism of the wait staff leaves much to be desired. -

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life they ruined my wedding reception. Then the owner had the gull the call my mom and say there employees leaving earlier and packing up food 2 hours early was her fault. We had paid for a busser who also never bussed the tables. The owner is a terrible human and the employees are lazy and dont know how to follow a contract. Do not hire this company for any special event. They will ruin it.
