We love ripcord 10/10

Ripcord blew our (already very high) expectations!! Ripcord is professional, fun and just so talented - they will be a show stopper at any wedding. The most compliments my husband and I received about our wedding were about Ripcord and how they just absolutely brought the house down. The playlist was balanced with songs for everyone and our first dance song was performed to perfection. They set the scene from pre ceremony acoustic vibes, to jazz cocktail hour and then a true dance party for the reception. Ananda, Jeremy & Kevin were extremely responsive leading up to the big day and ensured that they had everything under control. They made our night so perfect and we just couldn't be happier with them. They did all the sound for the ceremony and all speeches. I would hire them 10000000 times over and will fangirl for the rest of my life- thank you for everything. WE LOVE YOU!

The Best Wedding Band Around!

Ripcord is the best wedding band you could be lucky enough to find at a wedding! They bring such incredible energy combined with a high-end musicianship that creates a memorable experience that will have your guests complimenting you for months. We’ve now been to four weddings soundtracked by Ripcord, but our favorite was our own.

We discovered them in 2017 at one of our best friends’ wedding, and they were such a fun band that they’ve been the first call as everyone in our friend group gets married.

We made sure to book them as soon as we secured our venue (about a year before our August wedding), because even though there are three bands within Ripcord, they get reserved quickly. We knew we wanted a horn section, so we hired the 8-piece (male singer, female singer, guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, trumpet, trombone).

We had a couple calls with our day-of wedding coordinator and Ananda, Ripcord’s incredibly friendly event coordinator, about 4 weeks and 2 weeks before the big day to go over the timeline and details surrounding our first dance and parent dances, and our entrance.

One of the key reasons we chose Ripcord was the extensive song list published on their website, which is not only long but spans practically every genre. This included bands I love but some of which I’d never subject my wedding guests to! (311, Gin Blossoms, and deep cuts from Dave Matthews Band for some reason?) Ananda assured us that they could play pretty much every song we asked for, even ones not on their list. As the bride and groom, we of course missed a few songs but they seemed to hit 80-90% of our request list.

In addition to our first dances, which required them to learn a couple new songs (“Lover” remix by Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes, and an obscure Israeli tune), Ripcord were happy to let me create one of the highlights of a lifetime by letting me play drums with the band for “Boys of Summer” by The Ataris. Ripcord also provided a keyboardist for our ceremony on the beach, learning two more songs for our processionals and recessional (“You” by Dan & Shay, “Enchanted” by Taylor Swift), which helped create such a beautiful atmosphere.

We appreciated the very reasonable payment timeline (50% when you book, 50% on event day).

One minor issue was that we could not hear the dinner set in the dining area despite our paying to add an extra PA system to do so, but this would probably not be an issue for most couples hiring Ripcord. Because we had a day-of wedding coordinator, we didn’t handle any logistics ourselves on our wedding day, but we heard of no other logistical issues.

Absolutely incredible!!!

After Ripcord performed at both of my sisters' weddings, my husband and I knew we had to have them at our own wedding celebration. We literally planned our wedding date based on when Ripcord was available! They helped make our dance floor the most epic party of the summer and all our guests haven't stopped talking about their performance weeks later. Do not consider hiring another band if you're considering hiring Ripcord—you will not regret it!!!!!!

Ripcord absolutely rips!

My wife and I heard them at a Cape Cod wedding, making for an easy hire for our Harbor Island, Bahamas wedding. We are from Los Angeles, attend a ton of live music, and are very particular with our music selection. Ripcord's style and delivery is not of a cover band nor a booking agency production, they are a true traveling band that can blow the roof off a venue and summon the best dance party, or play an old sweet tune and give everyone the chills for a mother/son and father/daughter dance. Ripcord encouraged us to be creative with our First Dance, and helped create a custom multi song mashup of James Brown and Al Green for our dance routine, which got the evening started with a bang. Ripcord's vocalists have impressive range and personality, the horn section booms and makes their R&B/funk songs an absolute, authentic groove, and strings / keys balanced for an impressive setlist which included every musical genre. Ripcord impressed me through and through, no one left the dance floor. Communication with their band leader was consistent, easy, and gave us confidence in all stages, aiding the whole effort of a destination wedding. This was the best decision we made for the wedding weekend. Thanks Ripcord!

5 stars isn't enough

You will not find a better wedding band than Ripcord - they were the absolute highlight of our entire event, and worth every penny! Ananda is hands down one of the best performers I've seen live. I can’t say enough amazing things about every member of this band. Not only are they incredibly talented musicians and bring SO much energy to every song and performance, but they’re also all spectacular humans, too. Kevin, Ananda, Jeremy, and the rest of the crew were kind, warm, and accommodating from start to finish. Having outstanding live music at our wedding reception was our top priority, and Ripcord delivered x 10!!! They helped us throw such an epic party, and all our wedding guests are STILL talking about them several months later. The horn section led our entire 150+ person wedding on a parade into the reception, and the music and dancing just kept getting better and better from there. They are so individually talented, and so powerful as a group - it’s clear they’ve been performing together for a long time, and not just assembled last-minute for an event. Their dynamic set the tone for our whole reception. I’d go see them perform live in concert any night of the week! We were SO lucky to have them at our wedding.

We would give Ripcord 100 stars if we could.

Kevin, Ananda, Jeremy, and the whole gang were absolutely incredible. Every single one of our wedding guests we talked to mentioned how incredible the band was. The dance floor was packed the entire night and we have Ripcord to thank.

I only wish we could get married again so we have another opportunity to party with the gang. Whatever you do, hire them!!!

Best band ever.

Ripcord is by far the best band out there. They are versatile and engaging and they kept everyone on the dance floor for the entire night. Kevin is a professional and working with him was very easy and organized with no hidden costs. We chose to have ceremony and cocktail hour music which was beautiful. The main even is the band who started just after dinner. I had relatives I've never seen dance that were out on the dance floor. Ananda has the voice of a superstar and the band was friendly and approachable. Ripcord played at my sister's wedding many years ago and I knew that I wanted them. I planned the wedding around their availability and I would do it again! They made the night!

They made the wedding the best party we could imagine!

What a great band! They had our guests packing the dance floor all night, even before dinner was saved. Their upbeat attitude and amazing sound kept the party going. The best wedding band out there

The Ripcord GB2 band was the best band I have ever heard at a wedding. They had the entire party dancing for over three hours. Their renditions of our selected songs were amazing. Their range went from 70s to current pop hits, and they did everything well. Their set list was so freaking good! I talked to a few of the venue employees after the reception, and they said that Ripcord was the best band that they have ever heard. We had so many incredible compliments from guests about the band after the reception. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

Book Ripcord if you want to dance your butt off!

I had been following Ripcord since I saw them at a bar in Somerville, MA several years earlier. When I got engaged, hiring Ripcord was literally my one demand! Their singers and the band are out of this world, like, crazy good! We didn’t have a single person in their seat all night because they were so amazing. They brought so much energy and fun to their performance, no one wanted them to stop when the night was wrapping up. Do yourself a favor and book ripcord for your wedding ASAP! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how incredible they were. Thank you to Kevin and the whole band for the most amazing night of our lives!

The absolute best

Five stars does not do Ripcord justice. I would give them one million stars if Google would let me. They absolutely made all of our wedding dreams come true.

Ripcord performed the songs that we requested for first dance/parent dances flawlessly. The set list was unreal. They knew exactly which songs to play to get the crowd going and match the insane energy of our crew. We continue to get messages from our friends and family about what an amazing party it was, and it can all be attributed to Ripcord!!

Not only that, but the planning process was so easy. Kevin is a pleasure to work with, confirmed all of the info with us ahead of time, and was just super easy, professional, and stress free!

I would recommend Ripcord one thousand times over. If you're currently still searching for bands, CHOOSE THEM!!

10/10 - hire them now!

We were lucky enough to secure Ripcord's GB1 band for our August 2021 wedding at Willowdale Estate and OMG they KILLED IT! We had guests say to us "we didn't realize you guys were having a concert at your wedding!" Ripcord got everyone on the dancefloor within minutes of the beginning of the reception and the dancing only stopped for the parent dances and speeches. They also were gracious enough to let me sing a song with them live which I was super nervous about but they very quickly made me feel so comfortable on stage and that memory is now a highlight of my life. If you get a chance to hire this band for your event, DO IT! You will not be disappointed!

The best! Let's do it again next year!

We had the BEST time with Ripcord's band Boogie when they performed at our October 2021 wedding reception! By far the number one thing any guest said to us during the reception was “where did you find this incredible band!?”

Our big goal for our reception was for everyone to have as much fun as possible, and Boogie definitely helped us make that a reality. The dance floor was completely full for 3 hours straight (with people of all ages — our generation and older folks as well) and everyone had a blast. For those that were less inclined to dance, they loved having a live performance to enjoy.

Boogie also learned our first dance song and did an amazing job performing it. And, while our ceremony was offsite, we had them play during the cocktail hour (3 musicians) and they were wonderful.

Our more musically-inclined guests were also super impressed with how talented each musician was — even our priest was blown away! We had a few friends follow up with us afterwards for their actual info and we won’t be surprised if they end up booking them for future weddings (fingers crossed so we can enjoy them again)! Overall, I can’t say enough good things. It was a big expense for us but so, so worth it to make it a wonderful celebration!

Awesome band!!

Ripcord (GB2) was an awesome band for our wedding! They were easy to work with leading up to the event and made sure they got the details right. They had great voices and really got the crowd going - from the teenagers to the grandparents. They were respectful of our song preferences and got a great dance party going throughout the night. They also worked with my husband as he sang to me and gave him lessons leading up to the wedding day. Highly recommend using them for your wedding band!

What an incredible group of musicians

We will never get over how amazing this band was. We found Ripcord on our venue's list of preferred vendors (and for good reason). We were nervous about booking a band we had never seen in person, but after watching their videos, reading reviews, and speaking with Kevin, we decided to book them. It was the best decision we could have made. Ripcord provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and all of the musicians were incredible. From the second they started playing, our guests were blown away. So many people told us at different points, that they thought it was the real song only to look over and see that Ripcord was playing it live. They helped everything run smoothly, incorporated all of our special requests, and kept the dance floor packed the whole night. Ripcord was the best decision we made when it came to picking our vendors! They are insanely talented, so warm and made our wedding full of life! We had a blast dancing to their music. The Best Band!

Ripcord was recommended to us by two separate people, as we couldn't be happier that we listened to their recommendations and had them play at our wedding this past December. Prior to booking them, we went and heard them play in Boston. We were blown away with how good they were, and how they managed to turn a relatively quiet bar into one that had everyone up dancing and singing. When planning our wedding, Kevin, our main contact, helped answer any questions we had about music selection and what to expect. The band even learned our first dance song and did an amazing job. During our wedding, people didn't leave the dance floor, and commented later about how much they liked the selection of music. We even had two sets of engaged friends at the wedding ask about getting Ripcord's information so that they could look into booking them as well. Even now that the wedding is over, we still have friends and family commenting about how good Ripcord was. We couldn't be happier with having chosen them, and highly recommend them to anyone else.

Ripcord Made Our Wedding

Ripcord made our wedding. Our dance floor was jam packed with spinning, stomping, whooping, sweating, hollering guests, all night long. Not only do Ananda and Jeremy have exquisite voices, but the entire ensemble brings a palpable energy and groove to the stage. Ananda is a joyful and energetic performer who belts out incredible variety, from Aretha Franklin to Third Eye Blind, while somehow managing to exuberantly engage the guests dancing below. And the horns, the horns! Several of our guests remained glued in front of the horn section all night in pure adoration. We know we’re biased (we picked Ripcord, after all!), but we’re also at the stage in our lives where we’re attending about five weddings a season, and Ripcord is the best wedding band we’ve heard. Our guests repeated the same sentiment again and again the following day. All 160 of them could not stop raving about Ripcord — from grandparents, to parents, to contemporaries — every generation was knocked off their feet. From the moment Ripcord took the stage, they brought everyone on an epic high that has lasted into the days and weeks following. Thank you to band manager, Kevin, whose detailed and consistent planning and communication gave us so much confidence, and thank you to the entire Ananda and Jeremy crew! We wish we could hear you play every day!!!

Amazing Wedding Band!

As music lovers we were adamant about having a live band at our wedding and decided on Ripcord due to their extensive group of musicians and quality of their vocalists. Kevin and the rest of the Ripcord team were an absolute pleasure to work with in understanding our tastes, deciding on acoustic music for the ceremony, learning songs for the dances and creating a killer playlist for the reception. I lost count of how many people complimented the band's performance but it was absolutely a highlight of the day and I never wanted them to stop playing!

Amazing band!

These guys rock

Ripcord did a fabulous job handling the entertainment side of my wedding this past June. Kevin was great on the communications side - really responsive and on the ball. Also really flexible in terms of helping me put together my vision. We worked out a jazz introduction to the evening, followed by a good playlist while the band had dinner, followed by the awesome main band. I play keyboard, and he was totally open to the idea of my sitting in with the band or them sitting in on a song that I was hoping to write for the event (though never ultimately got around to...)
On top of that, Monica & Co. were outstanding. My friends and I see a lot of live music, and everyone agreed that the Ripcord crew was top notch. The band read the crowd well, saw that funk music was working well, and threw in a back-to-back Prince combo punch at one point that had the dance floor going bananas. Monica was an excellent MC, she totally picked up on the casual, personal vibe that we were trying to create and worked right along with that. Lastly, the male vocalist at a climax in the night invited me to come up on stage and sing a call and response with him into the mic. I'm not a good singer at all, but something about him had me belting out these notes. My dad asked my mom if she'd ever heard me sing that well, to which she responded "Nope, not even close." So kudos to the band for helping me discover I have a voice hidden somewhere deep inside.
Overall, I really couldn't have hoped for a better musical experience for my wedding... totally exceeded expectations! Lastly, I had a few friends asking for their contact info the next day, so hopefully I'll get to see them again.

Absolutely blown away

Ripcord absolutely exceeded every expectation we had, despite the high expectations their reputation gave us. Kevin was an incredibly flexible and responsive person to work with. He helped us pick all the little songs you don't think of when you're planning the wedding, like music for entering the reception, or during the bouquet toss. He offered to have the band learn and perform the songs for our parent dances even though we picked them only a few weeks before the wedding. And we were very happy with the price, even before hearing them play.

Ananda and Jeremy have incredible instruments. Some wedding bands "sing" beyonce songs, but Ananda SANG them. Half my wife's bridal party are musical theater professionals, and they were in the front row all night in awe of Ananda and Jeremy's voices. They were also excellent at energizing our guests. Our nearly 200 guests ranged from late teens to octogenarians, and the dance floor was rarely less than half full the entire night. My grandmother became a late night sensation on the dance floor thanks to their energy and clever set-list. They took our suggested songs from their list and built something everyone enjoyed.

I am not exaggerating when I say every other person made a point of telling me how impressed they were with the entire band. We decided to go with the 8 piece band, and the trumpet and sax were one of the best additions we could have asked for. Impressed doesn't begin to describe it. We had a tall renovated barn, so it could handle the amount of sound they put out without deafening people.

Ananda and Kevin knew how to work the crowd. They were able to call people to the dance floor in respectful and effective ways. They emcee'd our party entrances, and the bouquet and whiskey box tosses. At one point, Ananda spotted my wife in the middle of the dance floor during "shout," and came out with a wireless mic, got the two of us in the middle of a circle of our guests, and had us help her out with a few call and response lyrics. At the end of the night, during an encore of "stand by me," our guests started making a big circle, swaying arm in arm. Ananda and Jeremy went with it, got us into the middle and had our guests sing the chorus to us. They just amplified all the love of our family and friends in the best way.

Finally, they let one of our close friends sing with them for our first dance as his wedding gift to us. No rehearsal, just got the key and went for it. It was incredibly special for us, and a real moment of professionalism and class that we appreciated so much. Kevin, Ananda, Jeremy, and the rest of Ripcord made our wedding even more special than we thought it could ever be.

Great Band!

We had an amazing experience working with Ripcord! We had Monica & Ricky perform at our August wedding in Newport, RI and we would highly recommend them! From the very beginning, Ripcord was super easy to work with. Kevin is very responsive and works with you to make sure that everything is seamless on the day of. We had a noise restriction at our venue and were originally very concerned that we would not be able to have amplified music. Kevin worked with us and the venue to find a solution that everyone would be happy with, and on the day of there were absolutely no issues. Monica and Ricky are truly talented and did a fantastic job of keeping everyone engaged and on the dance floor. We were thrilled with Ripcord and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!

Hiring Ripcord was a no brainer once we saw them live - we were at their show for about 2 minutes before my husband and I turned to each and said "yup we're getting them". Kevin was great to work with and everything went smoothly. Ananda and Jeremy were absolutely amazing as singers and emcees, and the rest of the band was awesome as well. We are over 2 months out from our wedding and are still hearing "the band at your wedding was AMAZING!" We could not be happier we chose Ripcord and would definitely recommend them!

Everyone has their priorities on their preferences for weddings, but this is a decision you WILL NOT REGRET. We had both had been at weddings separately where Ripcord played and it was non-stop fun. Same held true for our own wedding. People we never thought would be on the dance floor were out having a great time. Their playlists suits everyone's taste and we ended up extended an extra half an hour because we didn't want the fun to be over. At one point we were outside and friends came to get us saying that we're missing all of the fun and felt like they were at a concert they were so good and talented. And everyone's comments since said how good the band was. They are extremely organized so once you've hired them, it's one less thing you have to worry about for your planning.

Words cannot begin to express how happy we are to have had Ripcord as our wedding band. Hiring Ripcord will be the best decision you make when planning your wedding. Kevin is incredibly professional and responsive when planning--we immediately knew we were in good hands. Ananda, Jeremy, and the whole band killed it. Ripcord were utterly FANTASTIC. The dance floor was jam-packed the second they started, and we asked them to play longer because no one was ready to stop dancing. Great song selection and great execution. Jason and his crew killed it. Nothing like your average crooning wedding band. BEYOND INCREDIBLE!!! We worked with Ripcord for our wedding last month and were absolutely blown away. Our guests STILL can not stop raving about the music and multiple friends have told us it was the best dance party they have ever experienced. Everyone was up out of their chairs and the dance floor was packed all night. They played the perfect mix of old and new music so everyone from my Grandma to my teenage cousins had a blast. They even let one of our friends get up and perform a song for us, which was the highlight of the night. HIRE THEM IMMEDIATELY!!! They will honestly make your wedding so memorable. Hiring Ripcord was likely the best decision we made for our wedding. They are absolutely fantastic! Kevin was so easy to work with and incredibly helpful leading up to the event. He patiently answered our questions, listened to our ideas, and delivered BIG TIME on our wedding day. Do you want a band for your wedding? Book Ripcord. Sure, the details and the decorations made our wedding special but Ripcord turned our wedding up to an 11. From the moment they took the stage through the last song, they had all of our wedding guests up and dancing.

Ananda and Jeremy on lead vocals were absolute powerhouses. Their voices with the combined instrumentation from the band made every single song sound amazing. We had three “live request” songs (first dance, father/daughter, mother/son) and they sounded better than the originals! I cannot rave enough about the level of professionalism and talent that Ripcord delivers.

While we had little to no requests in terms of a set list, they made sure our one request, the Hava Nagila/Hora, brought down the house. They checked in with me first to see how many people would be lifted in chairs and how long we wanted it to go for. From there, they took the reins and we exploded onto the dance floor.

We keep referring to our wedding as a “rager” because of the non-stop dancing and partying that was fueled by Ripcord. Our wedding was an absolute success in large part to this amazing band. Do not look any further than Ripcord when you’re researching wedding bands in the Boston area. You will not be disappointed and your guests will be raving about them all night and into the morning after.

I first saw Ripcord at a friend's wedding and they were amazing, so when I was planning my wedding I looked them up. Kevin, the band manager, was incredibly kind and helpful on the phone, and when I asked him about what his favorite part of a wedding was, he gushed for about 10 minutes about how amazing it is to be a part of a couple's special day. That sincerity and passion came through in every single aspect of working with Ripcord. Not only did Kevin remember my friend's wedding immediately, he asked if they'd be at our wedding, and when he found they would be, he gave us a discount just because they were excited to get to celebrate with them again. He also helped make sure we'd get the same lineup I'd seen at my friend's wedding (Ananda & Jeremy), and when I threw him a curve ball of asking if the band would learn an original song that I wrote to surprise my husband, he was not only accommodating, he was super excited.

SPEAKING of the Ananda and Jeremy lineup...holy smokes. They were INCREDIBLE!! They were so kind and fun and dynamic and SO TALENTED--every single person at our wedding danced for the ENTIRE NIGHT. Grandparents, young cousins, old college friends, EVERYONE. It was unbelievable. They were out of this world with their song choices and energy, they knew how to work the crowd to get people laughing and dancing, they MC'd the full reception flawlessly, and when they played my original song at the end Ananda just make everyone weep with how beautifully she sang it. I cannot say enough about these folks; they are so talented at what they do--both as musicians and as wedding specialists. Worth every penny by a mile. Thank you, Ripcord!

Our band was by far one of the top reasons we had such an amazing wedding. We picked Monica and Jason and they absolutely tore the house down. Kevin was extremely responsive from start to finish and always answered my endless questions with patience and detail.

The band was such a big hit at our wedding that toward the end of the night, everyone was trying to jam up as close as they could get to see them and sing along. At one point, it was almost like we were at a concert with everyone getting on the dance floor and cheering for them! Monica even came onto the dance floor a few times too. They were really engaging with the crowd.

We got married three months ago and we still have people mentioning how good our band was to this day. So good in fact, that one of our friends is using Ripcord for their wedding now!

Ripcord played our wedding in August 2016, and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE. Booking them to play our wedding was the best decision we could have made. From the very start, working with Kevin to get all of the details arranged was quick and easy, and he was super responsive with his emails and calls. On the day of, we also hired Kevin to bring a PA system (we had an outdoor wedding) to make sure that we could amplify our procession music, our readers, and our live music during the ceremony. Given that our processional music was something unique to us (not Here comes the Bride, etc), Kevin even brought along similar music to play as “mood music” before the ceremony started. As part of their package, the band performed 3 “guaranteed” songs that we could request, which generally are used for the formal dances. The band learned our first dance song, as well as a song that my wife’s father had written to play as a surprise during her dance with him. You can also give Kevin a list of songs you’d like to hear and songs you absolutely do not want to hear and the band was really great at featuring the songs we had hoped to hear (though we missed one because we were taking pictures!). Kevin also created a custom playlist of the songs we definitely wanted to hear to play while the band was taking their breaks. And once the band got going, the dance floor was PACKED for the entire night. Our line-up featured Ananda and Jeremy on vocals and we couldn’t recommend them enough! Ananda and Jeremy have such incredible voices and energy, and Kevin, Jeremy, Tommy, and everyone else in the band are absolutely amazing musicians. Everyone, from our friends and family to our other vendors, couldn’t stop raving about them, and even our photographers said that they were the best wedding band they had ever seen. We've gone to see Ripcord play every chance we can around Boston since our wedding, and they've been just as fantastic. We could go on-and-on, but just book them now!

We highly recommend Ripcord!!! All of our guests have been raving about how amazing they were and that they were the best band they've heard! Kevin was very responsive and awesome to work with. He is very detail oriented and everything worked out better than we could have imagined. We decided to have instrumental music during cocktail hour and we're so happy we did! It was perfect for the setting and they sounded amazing. During the reception they had the dance floor filled the whole time with guests of all ages, even my 88 year old uncle was out there! My wife and I booked Ripcord for our wedding in October of 2016 and it was 100% the best decision we made during the planning process. As a touring musician myself, I knew I couldn't have a DJ and I am overly critical when it comes to live music. We went through what felt like hundreds of bands and finally found ripcord while out in Boston one night. We booked them that night and didn't even ask for a price up front, it honestly didn't matter what they said (mind you, we were working on a strict budget). Kevin's professionalism and promptness made him a delight to work with. I don't know what they charge now, but you could triple it and I would still find a way to make Ripcord be the band for your wedding. They're appropriately interactive and their set consists of songs to appeal to every guest at your wedding. I really can't say enough about ripcord. If there's one thing that makes a good wedding, it's incredible live music and If you want to have a wedding to remember and to keep people talking long after you're married, then look no further. Book Ripcord as soon as you can, it'll be the best decision you've ever made.

Hands down best wedding band ever! Ripcord was the highlight of my New Years Eve wedding in the mountains of Vermont. From the very beginning of our conversations, Kevin was extremely professional, responsive and helpful and he remained my go-to resource for all wedding music related questions throughout the planning process. We had the Ananda and Jeremy duo for vocalists and they rocked the HOUSE - nonstop dancing, amazing set list, great interaction with the 'crowd' and amazing renditions of our favorite dance songs. Wedding guests are still talking about Ripcord over a year after our wedding! They are a truly fantastic wedding band and they are so much fun! We worked with Kevin during the planning process and he was so helpful and responsive. They have a great sound live and really get the party going! They were receptive to our song requests and planned a great set for our wedding night. We had taken dance lessons for our first dance and Kevin worked with us to alter the song live so that it worked with what we had rehearsed for months leading up to the wedding! Ananda is one of the best singers we have ever heard and we were so lucky to have her sing for us. Best wedding decision we made!! Because of our time frame we booked Ripcord having only read online reviews but we were absolutely blown away when we heard them live! Kevin was so easy to work with while planning our wedding and always easy to reach and quick to answer any questions we had. The whole band did all the thinking for me during our reception, guiding the night along and leaving me to simply enjoy. What a night it was...as soon as the music started the dance floor was FULL. When I say full I mean the floor was quite literally shaking and only my 92 year old grandmother was in her seat. Everyone keeps telling us how much fun our wedding was and how much they loved our band! If you want an awesome wedding you NEED Ripcord, no brainer.

Let me start off with the fact no one could tear me away from the dance floor on my wedding day! We booked the Ananda/Jeremy duo and they were absolutely amazing. Their chemistry between each other and vibe with the crowd was the best I have ever witnessed at a wedding. My primary goal was to have a dance party where everyone would be engaged and having fun. I have been told by numerous people that our wedding was the best they have been to. I can assure you one of the main reasons is because we had Ripcord as our band. Ananda, Jeremy, and Kevin (and the rest of the band) are incredibly talented and phenomenal musicians. Our dance floor was packed all night long and we sang and danced our hearts out. At the end of the night, my voice was raspy and I had salty cheeks from all the dancing. The energy was incredible, the music selection was outstanding, and their professionalism was insurmountable. Major kudos goes out to Kevin O’Brien, who facilitated all communication and was so easy to work with, understanding, and provided encouraging advice throughout the process of choosing our music. Kevin was quick to respond, thorough, and incredibly patient through our procrastination and indecisiveness. To me, choosing music for memories of a lifetime wasn’t easy and his guidance, thoughtfulness, and flexibility ensured trust and confidence in him (and the band). Without a doubt, this is the band to choose! We are from Baltimore and next time we travel to Maine (wedding spot), we are absolutely stopping in Boston area to get down with Ripcord!

Ripcord is the best. We had the Ananda / Jeremy lineup and they were amazing. Gave the band specific instructions on how to modify for our first dance song since it was choreographed, and they executed it perfectly. Parent dances just as we asked. Keyboardist also played live ceremony music and was accommodating with the weather situation. The rest of the night was awesome. Tons of musical talent, good chemistry, song selection, and energy. Dance party all night and got lots of compliments on the band and people asking for their name.

Every year our foundation hosts an annual dinner to celebrate the leaders in the communities of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan. This year we wanted to change it up from a formal sit down dinner to a more party atmosphere. Ripcord was recommended by a colleague who attended a wedding they played at. WOW! AMAZING! Here's my tip, look no further and book Ripcord- you will not be sorry I promise you. Ripcord provided the music for my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and to say they were amazing is an understatement. First of all, Kevin O'Brien was one of the best communicators through out my whole wedding planning process which was a year. He always responded quickly, with answers to everything. This band is worth every penny, we gave them our first dance and parent songs, and trusted them with the rest, and I am so glad we did. Our dance floor was literally full all night long and we had almost 200 guests at our wedding. Ananda, Erika and Joes voices are flawless. If you have any room in your budget to splurge for a 3rd vocalist, do it, it will just make your night that more memorable. It is over a month later and we are still receiving compliments about how fun and great the band was at our wedding. We told Kevin that the goal of our wedding was a fun night for our friends where everyone was up and dancing all night, and they exceeded our expectations.

Ripcord was absolutely amazing and surpassed even our highest expectations. From the first, Kevin was extremely responsive, professional, and friendly. It was extremely easy to connect, get information, and save the date. Throughout the time leading up to the wedding, we had regular check-ins which inspired a lot of confidence - these guys were amazingly organized and great to work with. Then, the night itself - the band was INCREDIBLE. Almost every guest (literally) came up to us to say how amazing their sound was. We had heard great things about this band and went to see them at Bell In Hand before booking them for our wedding--they are incredible. Not only are they fantastic musicians with a wide range of songs + genres under their belt, but they are dynamic and fun performers who put on a high energy show every time.

We opted to add some brass (trumpet and saxophone) to the group and were glad we did because it really complemented their base setup well. Of course this was all organized by Kevin and required no extra work on our end. They played an incredible set and had everyone up on the dance floor the entire time dancing their hearts out. They were flexible with some last minute changes to the father/bride + mother/groom dances and did a great job keeping the reception flowing smoothly.

Kevin was a pleasure to deal with and kept in constant communication with us as we selected our dance songs + set lineup. Finding an awesome band for our August 2015 wedding at the Crane Estate was a top priority! We were looking to find one of those fun cover bands that knows all the right songs to have everyone dancing & singing along...

We found RipCord through their great reviews online. Our main contact was Kevin O'Brien, a very nice guy. He was responsive and thorough in answering all of our questions. Kevin isn't just a coordinator, he is actually in the band, so you could tell that he was very busy during wedding season, but he always made himself available for calls - we appreciated his professionalism, knowledge & expertise.

We went to a public gig that Ripcord had in Boston before booking them. Kevin explained that we would see a smaller version of the band & they wouldn't be able to play any formal/slower songs in the club. We signed up with them immediately after viewing! You never would have even known these guys specialized in weddings, they just came across as a really cool band!

We opted for the full 8-piece band, with a jazz trio during cocktail hour and a soloist keyboard player at our ceremony. Our vocalists were Joe Carson & Mia Boostrom, both very talented performers! The whole band was great!

We got so many compliments from guests about how amazing the band was. People commented on how impressed they were with how the band was able to perform such a wide range of covers (from Frank Sinatra to Avicii) so perfectly.

Guests of all ages were dancing and having a great time all night. Our venue has a very strict policy regarding their ending time, but they must have been enjoying the music too ;) because when guests chanted for "one more song" the venue coordinator stretched their rules to allow for an encore!

We wish we had a recording of all the music they played at our wedding, they were seriously SO AMAZING!!!! We wish we could give them more than 5 stars on here!

I can not say enough great things about this band!!! I believe there are two things that make a wedding: the food and the band. This band had our entire wedding dancing the entire night. I originally heard them at a friends wedding and knew when I was getting married in Vermont, like she did, I had to have them! They had a great flow and were clearly enjoying themselves as well. Everyone made comments to us how amazing they were. Also during the planning process, Kevin, was extremely responsive and quick to accommodate.

I cannot express in words how amazing Ripcord played at our wedding and how grateful we are to them for providing everything we wanted and more. As huge live music fans, the band was the most important decision for our wedding.We didn't want that typical, cheesy wedding band that has left me with a bad taste in my mouth after so many weddings, and considered non-traditional options. But, feeling like wedding experience was an important factor (remember, the band is your MC too), I decided to check out Wedding Wire. Initially drawn to Ripcord by great reviews, I checked their BIO page and realized I had seen a few of these musicians playing around Boston in their "regular" bands. Great sign! After talking music with Kevin, their bassist/organizer, for quite awhile, I knew they were for us. Kevin was outstanding throughout the entire process...laid back but very professional. The keyboardist, Nate Wilson, played our ceremony. I've seen Nate play with his other projects many times and was honored to have him play our wedding. He was joined by the guitarist at cocktail hour. When the drummer jumped in just for fun, it was a testament to how much these guys enjoy playing music. By the time the full band played an amazing version of "The Weight" during dinner (the vocalists can sing ANYTHING), the guests were buzzing about the band. After dinner, we wanted a dance party, and Ripcord delivered with a 3+ hr masterclass of funk, rock, disco, and pop. The dance floor was PACKED all night. Their song choices were perfect. They nailed our special requests (Prince,Talking Heads, and an obscure/tricky choice I bet they never expected to play at a wedding) like true pros. In a wedding first for me, the guests demanded an encore and Ripcord obliged. Fantastic people, incredible musicians...book this band. (Tip: add a horn section!)

The best decision we made for our wedding (besides saying I do!) was hiring Ripcord to play at our wedding. My husband and I live in Bermuda and the live entertainment options are very limited here. An incredible band was extremely important to us and we started researching bands from NY, Boston, Philly, and Atlanta. We came across Ripcord on WeddingWire and were awe struck at the number of glowing reviews. We LOVED the sample songs on their website and although we never had the chance to see them perform live, we booked them to come to Bermuda for our wedding. If you are in the same boat and can't make it to see them perform before booking, let me tell you that you are absolutely making the right decision.

I can tell you with 100% sincerity that they delivered so far beyond our expectations and they were the hit of our wedding weekend. They played a jazz trio for our rehearsal dinner and then they had a big 9-person band play for our wedding. They absolutely rocked it and every single person was up dancing. Even my 90 year old grandmother. Our biggest focus for the wedding was to have an outstanding band and I can tell you that all of the positive reviews that Ripcord has on their website are spot on. They absolutely made our wedding and people are still raving about them today. They are even playing our friend's upcoming wedding as a result of our wedding.

Also, Kevin is amazing to work with. My husband probably spent a good 20 hours on the phone speaking with Kevin throughout the process leading up to our wedding since there was a ton of logistical coordination given our wedding was in Bermuda. Kevin is organized, responsive and incredibly friendly and easy to work with. We'd never hired a band before and he managed the process to a T.

YOU NEED THIS BAND FOR YOUR WEDDING.
My husband and I knew from the second we started planning the wedding that the band was nearly the most important part of the wedding reception. We were married in Vermont so we were nervous vendors wouldn't want to travel. We started searching for bands and narrowed a few down based on their websites and reviews. Then my parents were able to see Ripcord in Boston. They called me half way through the first song they played and said...book them NOW! From the very first e-mail to Kevin to the last phone call, the entire band was unbelievably easy to work with. I'll start with the music. It was hands down the best band we'd ever seen. Everyone of our guests were dancing all night long from the 16 years olds to the 90 year olds. People literally didn't go to the bathroom, get ice cream, or look at any of the displays because they just wanted to dance. They were absolutly fabulous. If the band is as important to you as it is to us, you've found your band.

Kevin worked with us tirelessly throughout the entire process. He was such a pleasure and we never felt any pressure. At the last minute we asked him to play an extra 1/2 hour (you would too...) and we forgot to pay him at the end of the night. He was so courteous the next day. There are so many things to stress about for a wedding, you won't stress at all with Ripcord.

My wife and I only cared about two things when we planned our wedding: we wanted to get married by the ocean, and we wanted the dance party at the reception to be the best one we'd ever attended. With a tight budget, the one and only big ticket item we couldn't compromise on was the music. I'm the drummer for a relatively well-known Boston-area band that also plays weddings at the same price point, and my wife is a life-long fan of live music, so while we were confident that Ripcord would deliver, we also know ourselves to be very, very picky about our bands.

Ripcord hit it out of the park in every way possible, and the feedback was consistent: as good or better than any wedding band anyone had ever heard, at any price. Kevin was responsive and helpful from day one. The Bruce Springsteen song they learned for our first dance ("If I Should Fall Behind") sounded incredible. They showed up early, and set up efficiently. They were gracious, kind, and obviously enjoyed themselves on stage. I could go on and on and on.

The music itself was truly outstanding from both emotional and technical perspectives. From the first quiet tunes to the last rockers of the night, I didn't hear a single misstep; every song was true to its best recorded version, yet the personalities of the individuals in Ripcord still showed through. We'd requested more emphasis on classic rock and older songs than the latest pop hits, and the set list was perfect. Somehow they managed to play all of my father-in-law's favorite songs without us even requesting them (Tom Petty's "American Girl" and AC/DC's "Shook Me All Night Long" among them), and the newer pop they did throw in fit the mood perfectly. I think we had roughly 110 people at the venue at 7:30 when the party started, and I'll bet there were still 70 left at midnight. I've been to more than 50 weddings in the last few years, and I don't think I've ever seen so many people still dancing to the last song. The sound was outstanding, too.

I was a bride who struggled over every single detail, so booking this band without seeing them first (just due to timing) made me really nervous at first. But the reviews were all awesome, Kevin was SO professional and nice to deal with, and he gave me contact info for at least 3 couples who they'd worked with recently. I had to make a quick decision, and each of the three people I reached out to wrote me RIGHT back with glowing reviews and all offered to talk. One of the brides I spoke with said "there are a lot of hard decisions that you have to make when planning your wedding, but this is not one of them. Book this band today and don't look back." Turns out that was awesome advice and I'm passing it along. These guys are SUPER professional and easy to work with, so nice and fun, and played just exactly the type of music we wanted (they can play anything). We also added ceremony and cocktail hour music on and that was perfect too. Book this band and you will be very happy with this decision!!!

This band is seriously amazing. After reading all the 5-star reviews, we couldn't help but have high hopes for a fun night, and they still surprised us with how awesome, talented, and fun they really are. We were so happy to have Rip Cord perform at our wedding! From the moment I contacted Kevin a year prior until the day after the wedding - he was nothing short of responsive, professional, & accommodating. We had one of them play solo jazz on the keyboard during cocktails (Joe) and then during the reception the band kept every single person up & dancing on the floor the entire night. My guests are still raving about them & seeking to see them perform again.
The band learned specific songs for our wedding & even allowed some of our guests to perform with them on stage.

Being in the industry I hear a lot of bands and when I heard them play, I just knew they would be the ones at our wedding. Ripcord is absolutely the greatest wedding/cover band of all time. My husband and I knew Joe Carson hand had seen him play acoustic at many venues. I had initially wanted to hire a DJ for the wedding, but my husband had me see the full band play and I was totally obsessed. I really wanted my wedding to be all about a dance party and a good time and after seeing them play I knew they would deliver that. Joe Carson's vocal range is ridiculous (can sing Adam Levine - srsly?!) and both female vocalists are ah-mazing. Joe ended up playing acoustic for our cocktail hour and then the band came on for dinner through the rest of the night. All of our guests were dancing- even my 90 year old aunt! I received more compliments on the band than anything else - they couldn't believe how great they were. I've been to other weddings with bands where they play a few songs and then take a 30 minute break, or they play one song that gets everyone on the dance floor and the next song is slow and everyone clears (mind you, these bands are like double the price of what we paid!). Ripcord played 90% of the night with 2 short breaks. Honestly, if you want the best band for your wedding, look no further. Not only are they talented but they will work with you to make the night everything you hope for musically.

Ripcord was great. They came recommended and they did not disappoint. We heard them play a few times and met with Kevin O'Brien, the manager/bass player, and he was so friendly, helpful and accommodating!
Once the music started, the dance floor was PACKED for the entire night! Young and old alike danced all night and had such an awesome time. The mix of songs was just right for a wedding and the two lead singers were amazing. I've actually heard both female leads (Ananda will knock your socks off, and Mia is amazing). We had Mia and she totally rocked and has the most beautiful voice!
We will never forget how much fun we and our guests had on the dance floor with Ripcord.

We first heard Ripcord play at my best friend's wedding in April 2013. It was the most fun dance party we had ever experienced at a wedding. Once we got engaged, we immediately reached out to Ripcord and were thrilled to find out they were available for our wedding date. I was in frequent communication with Kevin during the whole contracting process and he was super responsive and easy to work with. He provided us with various options including whether to have the horns and musicians for ceremony/cocktail hour. And I found the prices they offered, compared to other bands that I've seen at friends/family weddings, to be much more reasonable, even though I think the quality of their music is even better than those other bands that I've heard at friends/family weddings.

We also used musicians from Ripcord for our ceremony and cocktail hour music which was just beautiful.

And the DANCING! I don't think I've ever seen so many people on the dance floor for the whole wedding. The band was just so fun all night - played just the right mix of pop culture with some 80s and some songs that some of the older folks enjoyed dancing to.

My husband and I were so sad to say goodbye to Ripcord at the end of the night and we only hope that we can hear them play again some time.

One final word about Kevin - working with him was such a pleasure. With all of the craziness and stress that comes along with wedding planning, it was SO nice to be able to work with someone as easy and efficient as Kevin. He is just awesome! Thank you Ripcord!!!

My husband and I saw Ripcord at a friend’s wedding 2 weeks after we were engaged. We emailed them the following week and booked them the minute we finalized our venue/date. Kevin was wonderful to work with from the very beginning. He was extremely responsive to emails and was excellent at explaining the different options (i.e., ceremony/cocktail hour music, horns, etc,). Originally, we booked the 6 piece band, but ended up adding a cocktail hour guitarist and 2 horns. The horns were so worth it and I am glad we had them. The guitarist at cocktail hour was wonderful. Every guest we have talked to has asked about the band and told us how awesome they were. The dance floor was packed the entire evening. Guests that couldn’t fit were dancing off to the side!! They played such a great mix of music from awesome oldies to new pop hits. I wish I had a set list! Ripcord also did a great job on our parent dance songs which we asked them to learn. I can truly say booking Ripcord was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. Hands down, the best wedding band in Boston! This will be the easiest decision you make planning your wedding! Working as a chef catering weddings I have heard hundreds of wedding bands over the years… When it came time to plan my own wedding I heard Ripcord when we were both working a wedding at the Wang Theatre. As soon as I heard them I knew they were set apart from all the bands I have heard. From my first conversation with Kevin until the end of our reception I was always impressed with their professionalism. The lead singer learned our first dance song for us and it was perfect! AMAZING is all I can say! Love these guys!! I just got married this past weekend and hired The RipCords to be the entertainment for my special day. My phone has not stopped ringing since the wedding about how amazing the band was!! I could not have been happier with them:) Kevin was an absolute joy to work with from the beginning to the very end. The play list they selected was out of this world. We had an amazing experience working with the Ripcords! The were very easy to work with from the beginning and always responded in a timely manner which is important when planning a wedding. Ripcord was an AMAZING band! They were exceptional~from the first contact, to the performance itself. Kevin got back to us about everything very quickly, and was so easy to work with. Everything went smoothly in terms of contact throughout the process. Kevin explained things we had questions about and guided us with song recommendations. He also let us know if he thought songs would work one way or another with our reception layout. The performance was phenomenal. I simply can't say enough good things about Ripcord. We'd been to another wedding where they had played, and I'd always kept them in the back of my mind. But that was in Hartford...and we were getting married in Montreal. With five months to go before the wedding, I decided, what the heck? I'll give it a try. Kevin responded within hours of my request, saying that in fact they'd had a cancellation for the weekend in question and that they'd be willing to travel internationally. Fast forward a few months and they had learned a Springsteen tune and were hauling their equipment across the border. They were fabulously professional and autonomous; I had absolutely nothing to worry about all night (the whole French thing didn't bother them one bit!). They even navigated the cultural differences with aplomb - when the dinner service took way longer than anticipated, they strung two sets together so we could really pack the dance floor. And did we ever! If you want to throw an event that people will be talking about for years to come, book Ripcord NOW!!

If you want a fantastic band for your wedding look no further than Ripcord. Kevin O'Brien and his band rocked the house - my guests were on the dance floor all night and we had several unsolicited comments from our guests about how much they loved the band - and a lot of these comments came from musicians themselves. I am currently still receiving request for the Ripcord's information a month after the wedding. This band MADE the wedding. If you want the most amazing, talented, fun, crowd rousing, good looking, and overall skilled wedding band then just stop here. They are also incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and they know any and every song you could ever want. I am trying to figure out how to throw a party just so I can have them play again, they were that good.

The Ripcords were an awesome part of our wedding celebration! They truly made the night a fun party with lots of great music.. Having their main band already booked for our date we had their "second string".... there was NOTHING second about the group! Exceptional musicians all the way.

I cannot say enough great things about Ripcord! People have been telling me non-stop since we got married about how great our band was and how much fun they had. They are everything you could hope for in a wedding band. They kept everyone dancing the entire night, were incredibly professional and always responded in a timely manner to all my questions. Kevin was so helpful through the entire process and also kept me updated on things during the reception to make sure everything that I wanted to have done during the reception got done. Honestly they were amazing and if you don't book them for your wedding you are missing out!!!

One of the must haves for our wedding was a great band, as we are music junkies. My husband and I are into jam-bands, classic rock, funk, jazz--we love strong improvisations. We love dance-your-ass-off music. We desired talent, and put a foot down to fabricated pop and cheesy line dances. We also requested some obscure songs for the ceremony and reception: The Grateful Dead, Phish, and the Mezinka Dance (and old jewish tradition). Kevin O'Brien, the band leader, understood our needs and was extraordinarily accommodating. For our ceremony they played beautiful acoustic guitar, at the cocktail hour they jazz-ed it out, and for the reception, well, WOW! These guys are the real deal! They are far from a manufactured wedding band who simply reads music charts and call it a day. They feed off the crowd, play out, and have a great time. Not only did they bend to our music needs, they played across the spectrum to make sure all tastes were appeased. The Ripcords were amazing and made our wedding a true party. Three months later and people are still talking about the band. I can't tell you how many times we've heard how "phenomenal" they were! In addition to this, they're just a great group of people! They were cool, calm, and relaxed, and seemed to be having a great time themselves. Really, just awesome, talented people!

You rock! All of our guests were on the dance floor all night long. You helped make our wedding a huge success and a most memorable night in our lives! The vocalists are wonderfully talented... your play list was fresh and varied. Boy, are we glad we hired Ripcord!

THe Ripcords were fantastic on our wedding day. I told them about the type of music that I was looking for and about how I wanted people on the dance floor as much as possible. They certainly delivered. The Ripcords are an incredible group of musicians and they are extraordinarily professionally. Everyone at my wedding was raving about how good they were. People really didn't leave the dance floor. I can't recommend these guys (and gal) enough. We also added a saxophone and trumpet player and they made things that much better. They really know how to set the tone of the evening and Kevin is great to deal with.

This band was absolutely incredible. Worth every penny. They had enormous musical range and played to the crowd so well. The musicians were all top-notch, both during the reception and during the cocktail hour, where we had solo guitar music in the background. I cannot recommend them highly enough. It really made the entire night.

There are really no words to describe just how incredible Ripcord is. In fact, even when you see and hear them performing live, it still seems unbelievable. So all you need to know is:

1. Yes, they are undoubtedly the best wedding band anywhere.
2. Yes, they can sing anything, and it will be amazing. (Well, maybe not Chinese songs...).
3. Yes, Kevin is super easy to work with.
4. Yes, Ananda is super star diva extraordinaire.
5. Yes, even if you just let them do their thing, you will be throwing the most amazing party ever. Guaranteed.
6. If Ripcord is not available on your wedding date, change your wedding date. :)

If you are looking for an eclectic and talented band that will keep your wedding guests dancing all night, ripcord is the band for you. Ripcord truly helped to make our wedding night the best night of our lives. We can't rave enough about their true talent, fun personalities and good vibes! They were a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. Kevin is easy going and eager to do anything to make your day extra special. My husband and I first saw ripcord at a friends wedding. I knew then that they would sing at ours. After our big day, my photographer called me to tell me that she loved them so much that she booked them for her upcoming wedding! Ananda (female vocalist) is unreal! Her vocals are amazing and her fun personality keeps the party hopping! I give ripcord a 10/10. I can't wait to see them play again!!!!

Ripcord played our wedding in May and we couldn’t be happier. We had an awesome all around experience with these guys. The music was great. They have two legit singers and play lots of different types of music from fast to slow. Especially good 80’s and 90’s covers. They knew when to step it up and when to hang in the background (important under-rated factor for a wedding band/DJ). The weather caused some changes to our reception at the last minute and they handled it with ease. The band was one part of the planning process we never had to worry about.

FYI - we found them basically by doing a ton a research and going to listen to a bunch of bands live. Individually and collectively Ripcord plays a lot at bars in the Boston area. Once we heard them, we signed them up right away. For anyone looking for a band I'd just go check them out. Head and shoulders above anyone else out there.

My daughter's #1 priority for her wedding was a live band. She loves music and so it had to be just right for her. She had heard Ripcord a year before at another wedding and took us to hear them play. We signed on the spot. They provided acoustic guitar for the service, music for the cocktail hour and so by the reception everyone was ready to party. The dance floor was full the entire evening so we extended the music another hour. The energy never died down. The band was professional, accomodating and connected with all of our guests. They seemed to be enjoying the evening almost as much as our guests. Every song sounded like the original. The lead singer was amazing. The most consistent comment from our guests was "that was the most fun I've had in a long time, the band was great!" Thank you Ripcord for making our event fantastic! We highly recommend them and wish we had another event to book them for. They were so good our photographer booked them for her wedding.

Ripcord was absolutely amazing. They were very easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding and accomodated our requests/played 3 special songs for us even on very short notice. At the wedding, they kept the energy high and did a fantastic job MC-ing the event and keeping with our schedule. They sounded amazing and kept the dance floor packed all night. I got a ton of compliments on them. The band was so good that a few people told me they assumed the band was taking a break, and then would look up and be surprised it was actually live.

Everyone keeps telling us how amazing our band was even two months after our wedding. They are super versatile. They really embraced all of our ideas. They did Beatles, jazz, pop, and classic bar tunes. It was perfect. They even let my husband play a weezer song on the drums with them at the last minute. They really understood our personalities and made it happen.

The entertainment that Ripcord provided for our wedding day was incredible. The vibe throughout the night, despite Tropical Storm Andrea, was contagious and beyond magical...not a person was seated until the band stopped playing. The chemistry of the group and the energy they brought to the event made the evening even more spectacular and memorable. The best wedding band that we have ever heard; we are beyond happy we chose them to play at our wedding. Kevin is one of the easiest people in the world to work with and gives you top notch service from start to finish. Their playlist caters to all ages and unless your legs are broken you will get up and dance. We can't say enough about the band they really made the night enjoyable for all. We would definitley recommend this band.

From the day we hired the band, they were nothing but professional, amazingly talented, kind and WONDERFUL to work with. During my wedding and after, my guests were raving about how great the band was. People who aren't big dancers were on the floor all night. Book Ripcord immediately!!!
