Rick came into the wedding and told my MIL something along the lines of "this is the only wedding we have today- can we have full creative control?" And he blew the our minds. He had brought long glassy beads to wrap around the arch, utilized all the decorations we had brought and made everything look so incredibly beautiful, it was more than I could have possibly asked for.
10/10 would absolutely recommend!! The setup and takedown services made the process extremely convenient. Our coordinator said it was the easiest wedding she's ever done. -

Rick put together the most beautiful florals for our wedding in May, and it didn't break the bank! He was really helpful throughout the entire planning process to help us figure out our vision and make it a reality. Every single flower was in incredible condition, and the bouquets were beautiful. To top it off, he and Arlene were so flexible about last minute changes and about returning the rented decor items after the wedding to save some money.

Rick's Flowers are a fantastic option for weddings! From the start, Rick is responsive on email and provides all you need to know to understand pricing (which is extremely reasonable - best value we saw in the VA market), and have the right amount of florals for your wedding. For the wedding itself, his team delivered all of the flowers on time, installed the arch for the ceremony and set everything up perfectly. They were so professional and our guests were all so impressed by the arrangements! Couldn't recommend a better option! -

Flowers of our dreams
Our wedding flowers were perfect. The bridal and bridesmaids bouquets were gorgeous and the arbor arrangement was stunning (we repurposed it for our sweetheart table). Rick was so fun to talk with when brainstorming ideas and he executed everything like we envisioned. Rick and Arlene are timely communicators and so easy to work with. We can't thank them enough! -

Rick did a beautiful job with my florals, even with my smaller budget! He was very flexible, even changing my arbor arrangement into two flowing arrangements since it was going to rain with only a couple days notice. He was very understanding and professional. I was so pleased with the result at my wedding with the flowers that Rick, my mom, and I had decided upon. Rick is very knowledgeable when it comes to design. He is not a car salesman, which I appreciated. He truly wants to share what he thinks is best but will let you make the decision. He wants you to be happy with the result not just sell you flowers. I appreciated his feedback throughout the process. When I started looking for a florist, his website immediately drew me in. I appreciated all the galleries to help develop a sense of what I envisioned. Rick will go above and beyond on the day of your wedding. From our arch to the aisle flowers to the reception tables and all the flower bouquets, I was in awe of how it brought a Marriott Ballroom to be sooo stunning. If you book Rick, you will not be disappointed! I highly recommend him and his team and enjoy looking at all the photos of his beautiful work! -

Rick is wonderful as a person and a vendor. He takes time to connect with clients, thoroughly discusses their wants and needs, asks all the right questions to get information you didn't know was important, provides clear expectations for outcome and costs, and never once tried to upsell us. From day one, he made it clear my, now, husband and I were his priority and he would do everything he could to make our wedding beautiful, memorable, and original, even with a limited budget. His website is phenomenal with years-worth of ideas/examples of his work with clear cost expectations; his prices are reasonable and accurate. His wedding worksheet is extremely thorough to make a stressful time less scary and allows you to focus on other aspects by organizing every floral detail you could and couldn't think of. You don't have to think of everything, because Rick already has. I can't put into words how grateful we are to have met and worked with Rick, he helped us achieve our dream wedding and never made us feel we were asking for too much, being difficult, or were underprepared.
He is a wonderful florist, but an even better person who understands the importance of community, friendship, family, and kindness. During our meetings, Rick shared briefly of his contribution to his community and how he cares for his employees, clients, and even new acquaintances. He has an amazing heart and I'm so happy we got to share our day with him and even make memories. When he arrived, though he was obviously busy preparing for our wedding, he stopped to give us hugs, warm wishes, and even put our boutonnieres on for us. We love you, Rick! -

I highly recommend Rick's Flowers! I knew from the moment I met Rick, I wanted to work with him. He is honest, knowledgeable and creative! We discussed all the different ideas that I had and he gave recommendations based off my vision, budget and wedding timeline. I was confident that the flowers would turn out beautifully. Communication throughout the planning process was great! Rick and Arlene are both very organized and prompt. On the wedding day, I was so impressed by how full the arrangements looked. My bouquet was definitely more beautiful than the inspiration pictures I provided. We got so many compliments about the flowers, almost every arrangement was taken home at the end of the night by our guests. -

Rick, Arlene, and their team created absolutely gorgeous florals for our wedding, which was in late May at a botanical garden. We requested multicolored, naturalistic, wildflower-esque flowers to complement our wedding's nature-focused setting and loose "birding" theme. Rick provided images of what would be seasonal that time of year, and we provided color preferences and a small bit of other input, and then let Rick run with this. We were so impressed with the results! We received many compliments from our guests on how well the colors and textures of the flowers suited our venue's garden-and-greenhouse feel. We were especially delighted by the loose greenery and flower centerpieces, which made lovely tableaus with the wild bird illustrations that we had at each table. Rick & Arlene were very communicative, responsive, and professional throughout the process. We highly recommend their work! -

We love and appreciate the beauty of flowers which is why we chose to get married in a garden. Rick’s Flowers was recommended by our venue and we were also impressed with the amount of information on ricks website including the wedding worksheet which gave us an idea of flower sizing (modest, full, abundant), the types of flowers you might want (ex. Arch swags, blue accents in bride bouquet, etc), and transparent pricing estimates.
During our initial consultation meeting, we reviewed our worksheet and also what budget we wanted to stay in. We also reviewed some of Rick's previous weddings to get an idea of how our budget translated into flowers and how to ensure we could stay in our budget by repurposing flowers, if necessary. That’s not something Pinterest will tell you :)
On the wedding day, Rick arrived on time and somehow made our already beautiful garden venue even more gorgeous. We received many compliments on all the wedding flowers and I absolutely loved my bouquet!

As an event’s professional, I have seen Rick’s work before, and am never short of impressed. Rick gets the best quality florals, sets clear expectations of what is in-season, right for your venue, and costs associated with the florals of your dreams. He and his team are available for set up, teardown, multi-venue set ups etc. His website provides hundreds of inspiration weddings, and his initial consultation is fun and engaging. I had minimal florals at my wedding, but those I did have were nothing short of stunning. My bouquet is still going strong and prominently displayed in my living room one week later. I never even looked at another florist, as I knew Rick was the vendor for me. -

Rick was amazing to work with! From my first meeting with Rick, I could tell how professional and knowledgeable he was about the wedding industry and florals. He helped me put my vision to life in realistic terms by explaining what flowers would be available during the time of my wedding. He was extremely helpful and offered his honest opinions. He spent so much time with me going through past client photos and discussing my options and what would look best with my color palette. On the day of my wedding, my bouquets and florals looked GORGEOUS! I highly recommend Rick!

The Best of the BEST!
We were extremely happy with our chosen wedding florist. The flowers at my daughter’s wedding were gorgeous. My daughter’s bouquet and all of the arrangements turned out absolutely incredible, exactly how I pictured it and even better. The flowers were fresh, abundant, breathtaking and elegant. We knew from the moment we met Rick he was our florist. He offered expert advice and assisted us in great detail to see our vision come to life. He was always in constant communication with us and answered any concerns we had. His attention to detail was phenomenal. Rick also went an extra mile providing us with extra touches of flowers here and there. It’s all the extra touches that sets him apart from the rest. Working with Rick and Arlene was an absolute joy! During our planning process, they were responsive, professional, and communicative. Rick listened closely to our vision and made a ton of wonderful suggestions that fit our budget and style. We had to change up our order pretty close to the big day when we downsized due to COVID (thanks, Omicron) and Rick’s team was incredible gracious during that process. Would Recommend 100x Over!
Hiring Rick was one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding! From start to finish during our planning process, Rick was kind, professional, thorough, and transparent.
The florals he prepared for my wedding were STUNNING! I showed him just a few inspiration pictures and I swear he went into my brain and created flower arrangements that well surpassed every vision I ever had! We continuously had guests reach out to us during and after the wedding making comments like "I've been to a lot of weddings but these are the most gorgeous flowers I've ever seen!"
Additionally, Rick went above and beyond the entire day. He brought extra rose petals to enhance our welcome sign and made our cake table look like it was straight out of a bridal magazine! He also stepped in and helped my mom unbox and set up candles during the eleventh hour of set up which went well beyond what we had hired him for.
I could absolutely not recommend Rick's Flowers enough! They will make your day by far the most special day of your life.

The flowers for the wedding were stunning, I could not have been happier. We received so many compliments, one gentleman said he had really never paid attention to the flowers at weddings he attended before but these were so stunning he couldn't miss them. Rick was great to work with and his whole operation was so professional. Everything was set up and in place early. Rick even jumped in to help with candles just because it needed to be done and I was very appreciative of his help with that. The price was very reasonable, I highly recommend Ricks to any bride. -

My flowers were something I had a very specific vision for from the time we got engaged. When the bouquets were delivered to the house we were getting ready in the day of the wedding, I literally cried. Rick was so professional and easy to work with. He was realistic about what he could deliver and also made suggestions to help me stay within my budget. They actually had another event booked on our wedding day so they made accommodations with our wedding coordinator to deliver the flowers early. I knew when I heard my mom's gasp radiate throughout the venue while getting ready, the flowers had arrived! Rick and his team created the best experience for our wedding - From the greenery to bouquets to the arch flowers to candles - it was PERFECTION!!! Exceptional Floral Design
This was our first time working with Rick but it was a wonderful experience. My clients got married at Lansdowne in August 2021 and Rick came highly recommended. After the consultation we knew the vision was understood and would be executed flawlessly. The arrangements were stunning, romantic and added beautifully to the design and décor. Rick was also on site the day of the wedding to assist with all the details of repurposing the flowers from the arch. We appreciate his professionalism and execution. WOW!! Beautiful flowers and easy to work with.
Wow wow wow. Our flowers were incredible. I had no doubt that we would love it but Rick and Arlene blew us away! We had a really colorful palette and let Rick be creative with it. First, we were totally sure what we wanted and he was great at steering us in the right direction. We also really wanted to order rose petals but Rick wisely advised against. But, Rick and Arlene were able to collect enough before our wedding for our aisle. The petals were such an amazing gift and beautiful touch. We are so thankful for everything they did. They really just went above and beyond for us. We had an amazing and perfect day and cannot thank Rick enough for giving us those special, memorable touches. -

Rick and his team were AMAZING to work with! The flowers were STUNNING and absolutely PERFECT! I showed Rick several pictures of things that I liked, as well as things I didn't like.. my examples were all over the place and didn't really make sense to anyone but Rick was able to somehow decipher everything and he created the MOST AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL design for our wedding. It was everything we could have hoped for and MORE! I was BLOWN AWAY when I saw my GORGEOUS bouquet and even more blown away when I saw the design come together at the ceremony, reception and dinner. My husband and I were completely SPEECHLESS when we arrived at the ceremony/reception/dinner!!!!!! COMPLETELY SPEECHLESS!! I can't forget to mention that Rick created the most SPECIAL floral collars for our flower dogs, who are basically our children, and are so super important and special to us!! I just can't say enough amazing and wonderful things about Rick and his team.. I could go on and on and on forever! Despite the major curveball of COVID, Arlene and Rick were so easy to work with. Our plans, date, budget etc. completely changed and they delivered exactly what I imagined. Rick's Flowers will not disappoint!! From a postponed wedding and multiple change in plans, Rick was so accommodating through it all. He sent example pictures and made sure that I would be happy with everything. Two weeks before the wedding, I so appreciated that he took the time to call me to go over a few minor changes.
When I arrived at my wedding venue and saw everything set up, I was overwhelmed with how beautiful it was. The flowers were even more gorgeous than I ever imagined they would be, and Rick went above and beyond with adding small details to make it look just perfect.

Wow! If you need a florist you've stumbled upon the right vendor page. We hired Rick for our wedding back in November and let me tell you, I wasn't the easiest bride to work with -- I was veryyy particular about the bridal/bridesmaid bouquets. I'm pretty sure I went back and forth with Rick a dozen times and I can honestly say I was blown away on my wedding day when the flowers arrived. Truly speechless. He captured every detail better than I could have even imagined -- since my wedding had very neutral colors, the flowers were how I wanted to bring color into our Fall wedding. I was so impressed I tried to press my bridal bouquet after the wedding so I could use it as a wall hanging! Not only was Rick very accommodating, but he even called the day before the wedding to let me know he had extra ranunculus flowers that he could put into the bridesmaid bouquets free of charge! If you have a vision, hire Rick and he'll do every thing he can to make it come true! -

We cannot say enough good things about Rick and his gorgeous work! First, Rick was so pleasant and fun to work with...he was very honest about what things cost and worked with us on our budget. We had a few slight changes and additions at the end and he accommodated without any issues. The flowers could not have turned out any more beautiful! They were exactly what I was envisioning and our guests complimented them continuously! They pop in our photos and brought everything together perfectly! -

Rick's Flowers only do wedding flowers and they do them so well! Rick and Arlene are both amazing, professional and responsive. They know what they are doing, are transparent with pricing (very reasonable, too!) and the flowers were beyond what we had dreamed! The flowers are the event all had water and were just beautiful, they went above and beyond for us! From start to finish, they were just the easiest vendor to work with and I will be recommending them to all my engaged friends- truly the best wedding florist in the DC area! -

I knew before I started my own wedding planning that Rick’s work would be beautiful, as he did the flowers for my best friend’s wedding and all of her husband’s brother’s weddings. I didn’t realize however how easy he would make the whole process for me. His website is so helpful at showing you what different budgets can get you, and after talking to him, it was even more helpful, especially for a bride unsure of what she was really looking for. While on the phone, he referenced a few different weddings to look up on his website to show examples of what different couples had to give me a better idea at what I might be looking for. It showed that he knew his work inside and out, and that was heart warming to me. His suggestion of repurposing ceremony arrangements for reception arrangements was a HUGE money saver. Also, I loved his suggestion of having greenery on our sweetheart table, and then placing my bouquet in the middle. It was beautiful. Arlene was fabulous to work with and so responsive anytime I wanted to add or change anything to our order. Especially my last minute request of adding rose petals to our tables after we were trying to save a few dollars by ordering bulk petals from a warehouse store and they arrived 2 days before our wedding mostly brown. -

Rick and Arlene were such a pleasure to work with! I immediately knew I wanted to use Rick’s Flowers for my wedding after seeing his beautiful work at my friends’ weddings over the years. The bouquets were perfectly arranged and the flowers were still gorgeous well past the wedding day! And Rick was very flexible in accommodating our change to downsize our wedding to a small ceremony due to COVID. We can’t wait to work Rick again whenever we are able to have a big reception! Rick and his team were absolutely amazing for all of our wedding flower needs. The entire process was incredibly easy and extremely affordable for the phenomenal flower arrangements that were placed around for our wedding. Rick makes time for his brides and if you have a vision, he can easily make it come true. I was able to meet with Rick many times to go over and plan our flower displays and bouquets. The bouquets were gorgeous and everything I had imagined them being. Various flowers arrangements and cake decorations were also placed with care and matched my vision perfectly. Rick and his team are always completely transparent and care tremendously about the events for which they are creating flower arrangements. Great experience
First off, let me say how wonderful Rick and Arlene are. They are lovely people, and great to work with. I was supposed to have a large wedding, which turned into a 9-person wedding, including the groom and me. I decided I didn’t need a lot, and wanted to change even the design of the flowers. Rick immediately understood what I wanted, and provided BEAUTIFUL flowers for the day. The large bouquets for the ceremony and table were just gorgeous. In addition, we took them home, and they lasted a week past the day. Today is 10 days past the wedding and my own bouquet still looks great. I hope to have my large wedding next year and if I do, we will be using Rick again! -

Amazing and highly recommend!
I was one of those brides who postponed the large reception but still held my original date with 20 guests. We just wanted some altar arrangements and bouquets for my maid of honor and me. I have to say that Rick knocked it out of the park!! Somehow he knew what I was looking for even when I couldn’t describe it. We worked mainly over email and phone, and I sent him a few inspiration pictures so he could get a sense of what I wanted. I received so many compliments on the bouquet and the altar arrangements. Arlene was super sweet over the phone as well and helped with logistics. They ended up delivering the bouquets to my house and dropping the other flowers off at the church which made it really easy for us. -

I walked into my initial consultation with Rick only knowing two things - I wanted fall colors for my flowers, and I wanted some of them to be wine colored to match my bridesmaids dresses. Other than that, I was totally clueless! Rick made me feel completely comfortable and by the end of our meeting, I simply told him my budget and that I trusted him to design something wonderful. And wow, did he come through!! The floral arrangements were breathtaking - I can't begin to count how many compliments we received from our guests. Rick and Arlene were so nice to work with and delivered the most beautiful flowers I could have ever imagined.
