The BEST in the Business in my opinion!

Highly recommend Eric Rhodes and Rhodes Entertainment for all your DJ and MC needs. We used Eric for our wedding on May 1st, 2021 and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. When you hire Eric you don't just get a great DJ that will keep the party going til the last song. You get a true Master of Ceremonies. Eric helped us find fun entertaining things for our guests that included things other than music such as games and stories. He helped us develop the schedule for our evening to make sure things flowed well from ceremony through the reception and worked with our wedding coordinator. He truly knows music and the wedding industry and will be a key player in making your wedding or event a success!

Best DJ in Idaho... Hands down!

Finding the perfect DJ for our wedding was our number one priority when planning. My family LOVES to dance! We did a ton of research and met with about six different DJs. When we had our initial consultation with Eric, we automatically knew that he was the perfect fit for us. He was so knowledgeable, caring, and friendly! We also have a strong love of music and struggled with narrowing down all the songs that we wanted played at our reception. We sent Eric a very large spreadsheet of our music requests and guest requests, and he did such an amazing job of balancing everything between our cocktail hour, dinner, and dance! Eric played every song that we loved during our dance so we didn't sit down once for 2.5 hours! I wish that we had another wedding to plan just so that we could hire Eric again! If you are looking for the perfect DJ who will work with you and help you to have the wedding of your dreams, look no further than Eric! You will not be disappointed!! Thank you Eric!

Best DJ Ever!

From our first meeting through the day-of, Eric went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure we had the most amazing celebration at our wedding! In addition to being a fantastic MC and curating the perfect playlist to keep the dance floor full the whole night, he also provided invaluable insight and guidance during the planning process to help us create our day-of timeline as well as ensure we had thought through the important details that often get overlooked. Eric is a true professional who demonstrated just how much he cares about giving couples the best day ever and put in both time and effort to genuinely understand the style and feel we envisioned for our wedding. We can’t recommend Eric enough!

Simply put Eric went above and beyond for our wedding. With so many last minute changes due to Covid-19, Eric spent hours with us discussing our new plans and making useful recommendations to make our day go as smooth as possible.

Eric is a professional in every sense of the word. There’s a reason he has won multiple DJ awards, and for weddings he is much more than just a DJ. Trusting someone on your big day is nerve wrecking, but choosing Eric to DJ/MC will truly give you one less thing to worry about because he will surpass any expectations you would have for someone in his role.

Eric was an absolute pleasure to work with and so professional. He has a great personality and has a ton of experience that makes him prepared to handle anything. We knew from the beginning we were in good hand and had no worries about how our day would go with Eric on our team. He did a great job understanding what we wanted for our day and absolutely delivering.

He was great when all of our plans were forced to change and helped us work through all of the last minute changes. Everything turned out great, in large part to Eric! We can’t thank him enough and highly recommend him for any event, especially weddings!

Best day of our lives!

11/10 recommend Rhodes Entertainment!

What can we say to adequately sum up our experience working with Rhodes Entertainment? Eric is a true professional and was incredible from start to finish. We booked with him over a year in advance and in that time, we met virtually (thanks COVID) and corresponded via email many times to discuss wedding plans. He was attentive and quick to respond. He really values his clients; he makes that very apparent.

Eric's ability to mix music and transition from song to song was commented on all through the night. Music was playing while people ate and mingled which set the mood perfectly. Not only are his DJ skills WAY above par, so is his ability to MC. He introduced our dances, and speeches. He reads the room and feels the crowd. He was accommodating and flexible. Honestly, I don't have enough words to describe how absolutely perfect he made our day.

One thing is for sure. A DJ can make or break your wedding. It was an investment and one I am TRULY happy we spent the money on. I could not be more thankful for Eric and how special he made our day. Ryan and I can't wait for the next excuse to use him again.

Eric Rhodes, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day so amazing. We are so thankful that amidst all the chaos that this last year has provided with COVID-19 and such, you still were able to make our day exactly what we envisioned.

I cannot recommend Eric enough. If you don't use him for your next event, you are truly missing out.

Best dj ever!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding day!!! Eric was so involved and cared as much about our day as we did. He offered great advice and we were able to rely on his expertise. He is highly professional and INCREDIBLE at what he does! I think he spent just as much time as we did laughing, smiling, and enjoying the day.

He listened to our needs and wants and made our vision come to life. All I asked from him was for everyone to be having fun and be out on the dance floor and he achieved it! Amazing experience!

From our very first meeting to the day of our wedding, Eric was fantastic to work with. I think that the most important thing to look at when searching for wedding vendors is how you feel when you first interact with them. It became clear that Eric is passionate about what he does from the moment we met him and we instantly knew he would bring what we were looking for. On our wedding day, we received so many compliments for Eric. We had all of our family members and friends out on the dance floor dancing the night away with us - even the family members who wouldn’t typically join in on the fun! We had the craziest dance party ever (the floor was literally bouncing) and we owe that all to Eric! Thanks again for being a crucial part of our day!

Party of a lifetime!

We had one goal for our wedding, have the party of a life time! Rhodes Entertainment made that happen and so much more.

We had our wedding at the Boise Depot with the ceremony in the gardens, toasts in the Hall, and dancing on the patio. Eric made sure everything went on without a hitch. He really listened to our vision, played the perfect songs at the perfect moments, and made sure the party didn’t stop!

Throughout the planning the goal was to make sure we could dance for the longest time possible. He made sure that happened without rushing us. I personally did not stop dancing from start to finish and so many of our guests kept saying I’ve never danced so much in my life, and let us know when the anniversary party is because we can’t wait to have that much fun again! So if your goal is have the party of a lifetime Rhodes Entertainment is the answer.

The Best DJ. Ever.

I have nothing but great things to say about Eric Rhodes and Rhodes Entertainment. Eric is a class act and very good at what he does. From the second I contacted him to the last minutes of our wedding day, Eric was kind, professional, organized, and very helpful. The music he played on our wedding day was perfect for our mix of guests and he was great at reading the crowd and mixing things up. Eric MC-ed the whole day and, thanks to him, the our wedding progressed incredibly smoothly. He was in constant communication with us and our wedding planner and worked so hard to make our wedding day easy for us, crazy fun, and very, very special!

Wonderful!

My husband and I really loved working with Eric as the DJ for our wedding! He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in the wedding planning process. Voted Boise's Best for a Reason!

Eric was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding!! He is extremely detail focused and so helpful in recommending not only songs, but also day-of schedule elements and flow. He helped us in so many ways and our wedding went off without a hitch! Eric is personable, professional, quick to respond to emails and just great to work with in general. He's extremely intuitive about the mood of the group and keeps the energy right where it needs to be, whether that's through song choice or announcements. During the reception, Eric led us in a shoe game which made all of our friends and family laugh. Our wedding reception ended up essentially turning into a pool party toward the end of the night and Eric just adapted to it and kept the party going. 100% would recommend and hire again!!

Eric is so friendly, extremely professional, and amazing at what he does! He was an easy choice right off the bat because of his eagerness to communicate and willingness to continually follow up with us when we were trying to decide between a couple different DJs in the Boise area.
During the wedding he was prepared and organized which made the flow of the event feel very intentional and put together. We could enjoy every moment knowing that he had it all handled with his amazing MC skills.
We had multiple guests comment about how there was music for everyone! He was incredible at reading the crowd and picking songs that kept people out on the dance floor. We would highly recommend you stop searching for other DJs and book Eric for your wedding or special event!

Eric was the MOST professional, organized, confident and integral part of our perfect wedding day. Easy and worry-free!

Our wedding planner suggested that we hire Eric for our Sun Valley winter wedding (we are not local) and we are so glad we did! Eric made the process so smooth and worry-free for us. Eric was so great to work with! He met with me on 2 separate occasions before the wedding to make sure everything was planned out perfectly. He listened to what I wanted, and was very careful to listen and understand my visions, but also guided me in planning details like my timeline with his professional experience. I would highly recommend Eric to anyone. Everyone at the wedding had a blast! I got countless comments on the DJ specifically and how good he was. WOW! I cannot say enough about Eric. I had heard good things about him through other people but he surpassed every positive expectation I had. He was organized, responsive to all of my questions, and played excellent music which fit the music we love and the crowd had a BLAST! I had many folks tell me that my wedding was one of the most organized and well done weddings they'd ever attended and I think so much of that had to do with Eric's attention to detail and organization. Best DJ in Boise!

Our wedding was a great success and it would not have gone so well without the work of Eric Rhodes. When we first met with Eric we told him it was important to us that every single guest at our wedding has fun and gets out on the dance floor. Eric said that would not be a problem and he was right! Every single guest was up dancing during the evening and enjoying themselves!
Eric was very professional and organized from our very first meeting. He definitely knows what he is doing and how to run a wedding. Eric had everything ready to go on time on the wedding day without any issues. He also went with the flow when we changed a few things right before and during the reception. Eric from Rhodes Entertainment was worth every penny. He is passionate about his work and his clients from start to finish. Eric is much for than an MC and DJ. He is an amazing wedding planner!!! I had absolutely no idea where to even begin coming up with a wedding timeline of events and Eric helped me with every single detail of every event months before my big day. It was wonderful knowing that I didn't need to think about a single thing on my wedding day because Eric kept things rolling with the timeline we planned out. My wedding day was HOT and there were times during the start of our reception that many guests were lacking the desire to dance and Eric would find a way to keep the energy going and the guests engaged. Kept the flow going from beginning to end!

Eric was awesome! I cannot recommend him highly enough. He took the worry out of so many details on our wedding day. He worked with us and our other vendors to keep us as on schedule as possible from the ceremony to the after party. While we had specific songs picked for certain times, Eric did a wonderful job of choosing music throughout the afternoon and evening that was perfectly on point. Once the dancing started, he kept the party rocking for hours. We and our guests had a wonderful time, and we are so grateful for Eric!

Professional and down to earth

Eric goes above and beyond to make sure everything is set to go for your wedding! He worked within our budget and unlike most wedding DJs, he actually made recommendations and filled in the blanks that we couldn't fill within our planning. He knows how to get a stale crowd up and dancing and is very flexible, being able to make any last minute tweaks. I highly reccomend Eric to anyone who is doing a wedding or event in the future!

I cannot say enough positive things about working with Eric. He was so responsive, friendly and very professional. The entire time we were planning our wedding, Eric answered our questions, guided us through anything and everything, and made the process easy and seamless. We were able to easily create song lists for our reception and knew songs that we didn't want played, would not be played. Eric also assisted with the microphones during our ceremony which was a huge help. If you want to have an amazing experience with a DJ, Eric is the man for the job. We loved Eric and would highly recommend him for any event. I only wish our reception could have lasted longer!

We used David Maxwell as our DJ for our wedding, and were very pleased with our day! David met with me a couple times to go over all of our song choices, and even made some good recommendations. He made us feel confident that our day would turn out how we wanted. We wanted a big dance party, which was exactly what we got! We danced for 2 hours at our wedding, and every guest had a blast, saying it was one of the best weddings they had attended. David was also an excellent MC, and knew how to read the crowd. He played every song that we had requested, and knew how to mix the songs so that both young and old could enjoy the dancing. I would highly recommend using Eric Rhodes or David Maxwell for your wedding DJ!

We used Rhodes entertainment for our DJ needs for my granddaughter's wedding. David Maxwell was the DJ hired. David was professional and did a great job! He interacted with our guests but was not intrusive. He listened to us and gave suggestions based on his experience- we were all happy. !We're not a dancing family but David had all of us on the dance floor having a wonderful time! DJ Eric Rhodes is truly the best. Our reception was unique because of sound limitations at the venue. Eric had great ideas and provided guidance on how to work through our unique situation. Throughout all the planning he was helpful, professional, and definitely an expert. On the wedding day, he was awesome! He rocked the house and we received so many compliments on his music. Eric was an incredible addition to our wedding day! My husband and I were super busy before the wedding and didn't have a ton of time to plan every single detail of the reception, but Eric helped create an timeline of events, and completely went with the flow and kept the night moving seamlessly. We had some friends do live music for the ceremony and Eric provided all of the sound equipment so that everyone could hear the music and the ceremony for our outdoor wedding. The dance party we had was perfectly rowdy and the most fun I've ever had at a wedding! I would highly recommend Eric to anyone looking to make their wedding or event an incredible gathering.

We were undecided about hiring a DJ for our wedding and decided to meet with Eric since he came highly recommended. Eric was amazing from day one. He e-mailed back to schedule a meeting almost immediately and continued with the fantastic service through our wedding night. We recommend Eric 100% and would never consider another DJ. Eric was fantastic! I met Eric at a wedding event. In the treasure valley there are many options to choose from for music. I fell in love with Eric’s genuine and fun personality. Eric made everything fun and easy. He helped create our timeline for our wedding, which helped guid all our other vendors. Eric truly made sure he met my needs. Eric really went above and beyond any of my expectations for our wedding. He really took the time to get to know us and our story as well as the style of our wedding, our music taste etc in order to create an event that was truly us. Eric is extremely organized and knows the flows of a wedding day so well - he truly was invaluable and brought so many things to my attention that I never would have thought of. He knew the layout of our venue like the back of his hand and was able to set up in a way that was conducive to the environment and would not disrupt the flow. No detail was skipped over. He had a great energy through out the entire night and kept the dance floor full. The music variety kept everyone engaged and was always spot on with the mood of our guests. His online planning portal is user friendly and extremely easy to navigate and make edits to as necessary. I would absolutely recommend Eric to anyone 100% of the time!

Before we selected Rhodes Entertainment we spoke with multiple companies for DJ services. Rhodes Entertainment was by far the best hands down!!! Eric was super nice and professional, easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and was always willing to help. Anytime we had a question Eric was on it and didn't hesitate or take a long time to respond. I would share a photo from the reception however since I was the bride I didn't have my phone on me. Knowing what I know now there is no one else I would trust more than Eric to preform any DJ services needed. He was simply amazing!!

We had a great experience with Eric before and during the wedding. After meeting with him the first time, we were sure we wanted him to be part of our wedding. His website was helpful so we could take our time planning the songs we wanted for the event. At the reception, we did not have a wedding planner so we trusted him to move the night along and we didn't have to worry about anything. I would highly recommend Eric to anyone needing a DJ.

Oh my goodness! Eric was such a pleasure to work with!! He is such a great guy, and made sure to get every song detail down to ones we never would have thought to pick out had he not mentioned them. Such as: cake cutting, grand entrance, last dance....

He made sure to be present for our first meeting with the wedding coordinator, so that he could be included and helpful for creating the timeline. And helpful he was!! He was present for rehearsal, and we ran through walking down the isle as many times as it took to get the music down perfect!

He made sure to play all the songs we requested along with throwing in some our guests requested and would feel the crowd to keep everyone on their dancing feet!

It was a perfect night with perfect music!!

Hands down! He’s the DJ you want for any and all events!

Rhodes Entertainment was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! Eric was so interested in what we wanted for our wedding and how to make it unique and special. He went above and beyond for us, even helping with our wedding day timeline! We got a coordinator and DJ all in one! We were planning this wedding from out of state and he was such a blessing from suggesting vendors, helping with wedding day details, and showing us what worked best at our venue. It was really nice having a DJ that had already worked the venue before to let us know tricks and tips to make our day the best! He even helped us with our rehearsal and got to know our bridal party ahead of time. Everyone loved him! Thank you Eric!!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Eric. After meeting with him, we instantly knew he was going to make our wedding the best adventure. He is so easy to work with and he got along with all of our vendors, which is a HUGE plus. He is extremely accommodating and made everything so easy on us. We had to rearrange a couple of things with our venue regarding how the tables were going to be set up. He made sure that we had everything perfect so our 300+ guest could hear our vows, speeches and first dance songs. Our goal was to make our wedding a big party and Eric knocked it out of the park. We are still getting complements on how much they loved the music and they didn't want to leave the dance floor. I couldn't even get my husband off the dance floor.

I would book Eric over and over again. I might even throw a party to book him again because he was so great. We loved him and appreciate all his hard work and dedication to his job. He blew our expectations out of the water and I am so happy that he was a part of our day. He was the cherry on top of a perfect day.

We could not have been happier with DJ Eric and are so grateful he handled the fun and music for our wedding day. As self-admitted music snobs we wanted to make sure the music would reflect our tastes but still get people on the dance floor. After doing a little research we found Eric and he immediately reached out to us. During our initial phone call before we had made ANY decision, Eric was thoughtful, easy going, and made a concerted effort to understand us as a couple. This immediately put us at ease and we knew we had found the right partner for our wedding. Eric took the time to ask us thoughtful questions, get to know us, find out what bands we like and just generally what type of vibe we wanted to have on our wedding day. From the start he let us know he could do as much or as little as we asked him and let us bounce ideas off him and answered all the questions we had for him. He checked in with us periodically leading up to the big day, was always professional and always put our minds at ease when it came to the music/entertainment.
On the actual day, Eric hit it out of the park. While we had cocktails and dinner he played some more laid back tunes from some of our favorite artists and it fit the mood perfectly. He also was a huge help assisting us with coordinating our toasts and checking in with us to help keep us on our timeline (which we'd asked him to do and he handled superbly). When it came time for dancing he switched gears seamlessly and played fun, funky, soulful music that wasn't just pulled from a top 40 list. Being that it was a smaller wedding we were a tiny bit worried about how many of our guests would be in the mood to dance but that concern was erased almost instantly because everyone danced and danced a lot. Even our parents and friend Joey - who NEVER dance!
Seriously we can't recommend Eric enough. He was two thumbs up, 10 out of 10, a gentleman, a pro and any other superlative you can think of!

Eric is beyond amazing! I met him along with other DJs at a wedding show last winter and he was the only one who went out of his way to contact me and set up a time to meet. He was so responsive and helpful during the planning process and I could tell after every meeting that he truest loved what he did. It's been just over a week since our wedding and I've already had three people ask me who our DJ was cause they loved him! I would recommend Eric to everyone! He truest made our reception a party!

Eric was an absolute blast to work with! He tailored the reception music to exactly what we needed and wanted keeping young and old alike shaking legs on the dance floor. Eric kept the night moving, acting as equal parts DJ, cat herder, and master MC. Without him, nobody would have sat down at a table to even begin the reception. To top off his party throwing talents (and probably most importantly), Eric was very accommodating throughout the whole process meeting with us in person before the wedding day on three separate occasions. Leading up to the wedding Eric was in constant communication via text and e-mail sharing his extensive wedding knowledge. Eric is so easy to work with and professional that I couldn't image trying to throw a wedding reception without him. He definitely played a massive part in making our wedding the best day of our lives and a fun party for our friends and family.

Eric was an absolute pleasure to work with! We heard about him from various friends/acquaintances and set up a meeting. We discussed our taste in music and how we wanted everything to flow. He then provided us with his website where we could choose specific songs and create a timeline. We only chose the main songs (i.e. first dance, father/daughter, etc) and let Eric have free reign of the rest for the most part. We then had a follow up meeting a little closer to the wedding to go over all the final details. He even met us at the venue to check out the space and make sure his set up was okay.

On the day of the wedding he did awesome! Everyone was dancing until the moment the lights were turned on. I had a lot of compliments on how awesome the music was and the flow of the evening. I would definitely hire him again.

Eric was more then just our DJ, he was literally like our wedding planner! We had no idea where to even start and Eric knew exactly what to do. He planned out our entire timeline and gave us tips and ideas on how and when to do certain things. I was so nervous up until the wedding but when the actual day came, I didn't stress about anything because I just knew that everything was going to flow and happen exactly how it was supposed to happen, and that's because of Eric. He exceeded mine and my husbands expectations by far! I also don't have traditional taste in music and made it very clear what I did and didn't want played. Eric played exactly what we wanted to hear and everyone was up dancing. I can't recommend Eric enough!!!

Eric is hands down, the BEST DJ in Boise. I say that because he is SO MUCH MORE than just a DJ. Eric met with us a couple of times to go over each and every detail. He offered advice and really helped us to understand what to expect. We even had a musical number and he was SO EXCITED to help us execute it! It was incredibly obvious that he has been doing this for a long time and knew how to read a room. The party never stopped dancing the entire night. As the bride, I have to say that the best compliment I can give is that I hardly noticed Eric on the day of the wedding. If the DJ is bad, you know it! You stress out as to why people are not having fun. Instead, I was able to spend time with friends and family, dance, eat and drink and dance some more! My guests all agreed that the DJ was AWESOME! I will recommend Eric to EVERY person looking for a DJ and I hope to throw many more events where he can help us get the party started!!!

Eric was amazing. He kept everyone (of all ages) dancing all night. Some of my family members that NEVER dance actually got on the dance floor. He kept the reception running smoothly and kept checking in with to make sure we didn't go too far off the desired timeline. He was extremely professional. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding or any other event, seriously do not go any further than here. Eric was hands down the best DJ we could have ever chosen. He not only got to know my Fiancé and myself, he got to know our guests as well. He asked us questions about who was going to be at our wedding and what kind of music they liked so that way he was prepared with every song he played. Eric was 100% professional and friendly the entire time. Not once did he ever make us feel like we were not the most important client. The one thing I was terrified of was that not a single guest would dance at my wedding because NONE of my family or friends dance. Somehow Eric managed to play songs and keep the party going and my family and my friends actually danced until the last minute possible. Even my Fiancé danced!!!! (Which is a miracle all on it's own.)

So Eric, thank you for everything you did for us. James and I cannot express how much we appreciate you and how lucky we were to find you.

So if you need just a DJ, go somewhere else, but if you need a DJ that feels like a long time friend and will go above and beyond for you, then pick Rhodes Entertainment.

When I first met with Eric he was super great & patient with me! I had no idea what I was in for, planning a wedding and all. He made a point to meet personally, talk on the phone, and make details final weeks before the wedding. This made me feel confident I had picked a one of a kind DJ. He made a special mix of songs for my husband and I for our first dance, as well as came to rehearsal. If we had all the monies in the world we would hire DJ Eric Rhodes for every single event in our lives, this would include brushing our teeth in the morning- I am beyond confident his mix for that would be wild. But, in regards to the event we did hire him for, he was absolutely PERFECT. He was not only great the day of our wedding but also helped us tremendously throughout the entire process. His input and expertise was greatly appreciated and productive. We met a couple times before the event to iron out kinks and he was more than prepared everytime. We always left thinking, "man, I'm really glad that just happened!" Eric was very flexible and worked so well with the chaos weddings bring. His transitions during the ceremony and reception were phenomenal, our wedding flowed so well because of him. We did not have to worry about a single thing, Eric engaged with our guests so well and kept the party vibe the entire time! We would 100% chose this business again and will forever recommend.

Where to start, there are so many compliments that I could give Eric I am not sure where to start. Let’s just say Eric did a FANTASTIC job! My wife and I got married in Eastern Oregon on June 24, 2017. I would consider myself frugal, so we priced out many different DJs that were willing to travel to Eastern Oregon. Eric was very competitive in price compared to other DJs we looked into. We decided to go with Rhodes Entertainment merely based on the price, not knowing at that time that he was worth more than we paid.
Eric was super flexible in meeting with us. We live in Pocatello (Eastern Idaho) so it’s a drive to Boise. Meeting with Eric was very helpful when planning a wedding on your own. He sat down with us and we all planned the various portions of the wedding with time, not just the music.
Eric showed up early and sat up everything and made sure it was working well before the wedding began. The wedding commenced and all was good. The reception is where Eric really shined. He is dang good at his job. The dance floor was packed the entire night and he knew exactly what to play to keep it that way. We have continuously gotten compliments on how fun the wedding was, I would say that most, if not all, the credit goes to Eric. I can’t say enough about how well he did. I would recommend Eric to anyone for any event. I know I will use him again if I need a DJ.

Eric is above and beyond exceptional in every regard. From day one he was so professional and fun to work with. I come from a large family and have been to a plethora of weddings (both immediate family and friends), with a lot of very disappointing DJs. With that in mind, my wife and I wanted someone good. Eric is personable, helpful, willing to address any questions or concerns you might have, and does everything in a timely manner. He helps you put together a detailed timeline for your event, has helpful suggestions for how to keep things running smoothly, and even coordinated with our photographer on our big day to keep us on track while taking photos and throughout our reception. He set the tone during the cocktail hour and dinner, and then put together an awesome set later on too--the dance floor was full and the crowd was entertained for the rest of the night! I just had my wedding two weeks ago and DJ Eric was amazing to work with. I spoke to quite a few DJ's in the area but what struck me about Eric is his professionalism and response time. I knew that I didn't have to worry about anything because I felt that he would follow through and that I could trust him. He did a great job with incorporating our music list and also his recommendations too, I would highly recommend DJ Eric. Eric Rhodes was the DJ for our 5/20/2017 wedding and he was absolutely amazing! He provided DJ services, uplighting for the reception room, and worked with a live band we hired for the cocktail hour and dinner. He helped us plan the timeline for our whole reception. He helped give us great ideas on what things to include in the reception, and how to time everything. He was also open to any ideas we had. We didn't give him too much guidance on what to play during the ~3 hours of dancing, but he chose all the best songs! Eric kept things running smoothly, is very personable, and was delightful to work with.

Travis was our DJ through Rhodes Entertainment and did a fantastic job during the ceremony and reception. We had a couple of meetings beforehand to get the details settled, so we felt confident the day of. We gave him a short list of songs we like and he was able to run with that to play great music for the entire event.

I would recommend Eric without hesitation for any wedding or event in the Treasure Valley -- or anywhere, for that matter! Not only was he responsive and attentive in hearing our vision for the music and entertainment, he was flexible to move with the crowds needs on the day-of, and kept them excited. The dance floor was literally full the entire wedding, and Eric's song selection was perfect to keep people engaged.

Further, we had a vision for a more interactive dinner with speeches and breaks -- a dinner that lasted 2.5 hours. Eric was enthusiastic and supportive, contributing ideas and working with our MC's to make the entire event a huge success. He was there and involved in our wedding for over 8 hours, and we couldn't imagine it with another DJ. Choose Eric for your next event, and share your vision with him, without "telling" him what to do. He is a professional, and will bring your vision to you, even larger than life.

We used him at our formal this past semester and he was absolutely amazing. He was super flexible and understanding when we had to change the date a few times, which was much appreciated. Overall amazing and we hope to use him again in the future. Everyone was dancing!

Eric provides professional planning and entertainment. He worked with the bride to create the atmosphere she desired. I highly recommend his services. Our venue was in Oregon and Eric gladly traveled for our reception.

Eric was awesome. He made our wedding day better than we could have done ourselves, even with our outstanding coordinator. He was always flexible and able to meet with us. He answered all of our questions timely. He helped us select great songs that really helped set the stage (so to speak) and make a memorable evening. He truly nailed the timing of the processional and the recessional. Also, he guides the event with the toasts and the music/dancing. He was always there, leading the wedding reception, without being center stage or in the way - so, a consummate professional. He is also super skilled at reading an audience and getting them on the dance floor. We weren't sure how much dancing would occur, but there were always people on the dance floor and more people danced than we expected! That was great! He is also super pleasant and easy to work with, and modified his contract - improving the wording, essentially - based upon suggestions from our coordinator. We loved Eric!!

Eric was such a blessing for our wedding planning. We were clueless what our timeline should be and he walked us through the whole reception, giving suggestions and at the same time listening to us and what we hoped for. Our reception ran so smoothly and flawlessly thanks to his coordination and direction. We also had hours of dancing fun thanks to his DJ skills! Our crowd loved him and the collection of music was perfect for celebrating across all age groups and music preferences. We would recommend him to anyone!

Eric is definately the kind of professional you want to DJ your wedding! Everything from payment to song selection was made incredibly easy and pain free and he really makes you feel like your wedding success is a priority to him.

Eric was amazing! We started the night at our wedding site in the foothills. He setup and played intro songs before the wedding and during. It was perfect. He then quickly packed up and arrived at Beside Bardenay well before we did. He played music from the minute he arrived. By the end of the night everyone was on the dance floor. We even moved tables to accommodate the amount of people. We had a blast. Eric helped us make it a party everyone will always remember.

Eric was super easy to work with and he personalized the music to our taste and blended it well with what people wanted to dance to. Months after the wedding we had people tell us how amazed they were with how well he kept the crowd entertained. Once the dancing began, there was no point where the dance floor was empty. The closest we came to an empty dance floor was at last call. Super flexible, professional, and a great guy!

Eric DJ'd our wedding in McCall, ID on September 10th. He was so amazing and flexible to work with. Our ceremony and reception sites were far enough away that we needed two systems in order to ensure that our ceremony was properly mic'd and that audio didn't suffer. It was actually a huge fear of mine that no one would be able to hear our beautiful ceremony or that the sound quality of the processional music wouldn't be up to par, but this was needless worry. Eric worked to ensure that we had flawless audio throughout the whole night and we couldn't be happier with the results. Plus, he kept everyone on the dance floor until our contracted end time. It was seriously the best night. We had so many compliments that our wedding was the funnest wedding they'd been to and a large part of that is the tone and mood that Eric works with his bride and groom to create. Thanks again, Eric!

Rhodes Entertainment did an incredible job at our wedding! Eric facilitated dancing among all ages while simultaneously catering to my requests and wants. Example: Cousin Joe does not even tap his foot to the beat of a song, but DJ Eric Rhodes got him out on the dance floor! Eric's presence was known yet he stayed out of the spotlight, allowing people to really focus on the music and those around them. I also loved how much control I had in the music selection through the online profile feature. What an efficient way to target the needs and wants of the bride and groom. I highly recommend doing business with Rhodes Entertainment.

I am a wedding photographer/videographer and I have been apart of weddings where the DJ was not ideal. DJ Rhodes is the man! I was a groomsmen at my brother's wedding and was very impressed with great variety and professional set up! DJ Rhodes has it on lock. No better choice than DJ Rhodes.

We absolutely loved Eric! He was speedy to respond and worked with us to make sure that our day was perfect. He was super professional, but fun at the same time. The best part about it was we didn't have to worry for one second whether it would be taken care of, he made everything go off without a hitch. When the toasts and dances were done, the dance floor was literally never empty again (I think we all danced for close to 3 hours). The reviews from all of our friends afterwards about how much fun they had, sealed the deal for us. We would 100% recommend Eric again!

Eric is an amazing DJ, a consummate professional, and an incredibly kind individual - truly a triple threat. I did not have a day of coordinator or planner for my wedding, and with Eric as an MC, you would have never known. Eric made the event flow so smoothly, my wedding would have been a disaster without him. I had some trepidation around hiring a DJ. I have been to many a wedding with DJs that are cheesy or are basically a human iPod. This is not Eric. Eric can read a crowd, mixes great music, and strikes the perfect balance as an MC. He had everyone at our mixed age, mixed faith, mixed background wedding dancing at one point or another.

Eric was so responsive prior to the wedding. He met with me and really wanted to understand the reason why I liked or disliked certain music to get a feel for my preferences. He coordinated my ceremony sound as well, and made sure every mic transition and music cue was perfect. He prepares and puts in the work. The value of this can't be overstated. Eric loves what he does and is incredibly good at it. I don't think I really understood the value of a good DJ until I saw Eric at our event. A DJ that fits in at a club just as easily as they do at a wedding is so rare and the Boise area is lucky to have Rhodes Entertainment.

Extra bonus: one of our groomsmen forgot a belt and Eric took off his and gave it to him for the ceremony. A hilarious moment and also representative of how through and amazing Eric is to work with.

My husband and I would highly recommend Eric. He had a very user friendly website and my husband and I had the best time adding and picking out the songs we wanted to have played at our wedding. The dancing never stopped at our wedding and everyone had a blast! I think every bride has a fear that their wedding will be lame or no one will dance or have a good time, but Eric kept the party going and knew what songs to play to keep the party moving. I didn't want the night to end! We would highly recommend Eric and his services!

We were so happy with our decision to have Rhodes Entertainment as our wedding DJ. Eric is a great communicator and listener, and works closely with us before the wedding to set up a plan that worked best for us. His insight and experience were very helpful to help create a timeline and playlist for the event. Eric is thoughtful, engaged and organized. He set up everything for our ceremony and reception and kept in constant contact with our other vendors (caterer, photographer, and baker) to make sure everything was on time and in order. Rhodes Entertainment has a huge selection of music, and Eric is willing to get special requests to add to the playlist. All of our guests had so much fun and were out on the dance floor during the entire reception. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Thank you, Eric!

I am so thankful for Eric and his service! He was super flexible, he responded to all of my questions within such a short amount of time. Our wedding day could not have gone as smooth as it did had Eric not been our DJ! Eric's professionalism and his love for this profession is so apparent in the way he conducted himself the whole time! If you're hesitating about whether or not you need a DJ, I'll just let you know that I was too. But you really do need an MC to make your day go smoothly! We played the shoe game, the money dance and we danced the night away! If you're looking for a family friendly, awesome party on your wedding night, Eric is your guy!

We couldn’t be happier Eric was our wedding DJ. He was extremely professional, courteous and gave our wedding 110% of his energy throughout the entire process. For weeks after the wedding, we couldn’t stop talking about what an epic job Eric did!

We worked with Eric remotely (we live in the Bay Area) and when we had our first sit-down meeting with Eric in Boise to go over our timeline, Eric politely took the initiative (and the extra time) to rearrange a few things to ensure our wedding evening would flow in the best way possible. We were blown away at his commitment to every little detail!

He energetically worked a very long day for our wedding and DJ’d both our ceremony, cocktail hour and long reception. He was perfectly receptive to our lengthy list of preferred songs and matched the style and mood we were going for throughout the entire evening. Our dance floor was hopping for hours and hours and we had so many compliments from so many friends and family about how much fun they had at our wedding and what a great party it was -- and we know music is such a vital part of having a unforgettable party. We both danced so much and had a great time at our own wedding!

The biggest compliment we had was when one of our groomsmen booked Eric after our wedding for his own nuptials the following year. That says it all!

Also, we asked Eric for a videographer recommendation and we were just beyond thrilled with whom he recommended-- Michael Tetro. The two worked together seamlessly and we got equally fantastic feedback about our stunning wedding video. If you’re also looking for a videographer for your wedding, we can’t recommend this duo enough! They also are both really nice, honest and fun guys.

Wow. Absolutely blown away at the way our wedding turned out. My wife and I could not have found anyone better to DJ. The work put into our day that Eric did so many months before showed big time. His skills as MC, timeliness, and ability to keep the flow smooth were beyond what we expected. Had every song we picked out ready at the appropriate times, and kept the dance floor packed! His passion for this shows through the entire time. I was extremely impressed to learn about his continual practice at public speaking. I wouldn't suggest anyone else for your day, whether it be a wedding, holiday party, or just because you want a dance party. If he's available, do it. To top it off, our wedding was out of town in Emmett. Not more than three hours before our start time, I was hit with the realization that the formal shop only packed 7 of the 8 ties for the groomsmen. Crap. Out of everybody we could get a hold of in Boise, Eric was on his way (amply early to ensure a great set up) and made a detour to swing by and pick up the 8th tie. Class act guy right there. Saved the day! Thank you!

I had guests that approached me throughout the reception that told me that this was the best DJ they have ever heard! No joke. Eric was great to work with and pulled through with exactly the type of music that we wanted. I would recommend him to any and all events that you want your guests dancing at!

Eric was AMAZING to work with. He helped us through our entire wedding planning process. He helped us to put together a realistic timeline for our day. I was having a hard time with ceremony music, and he provided options for me that were perfect. He was beyond personable and professional when making announcements at our wedding, and was able to stay in line to our timeline which was really important to me.
Our dance floor was PACKED all night. There were people of all ages dancing and having a wonderful time at our reception.
I cannot recommend him enough! If you want your wedding to run smoothly, your guests to have a blast, and have tons of help during the planning process, hire Eric!

DJ Eric Rhodes was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we had him DJ our wedding! Eric did an absolutely great job providing music and entertainment to an audience with a wide age range. His music transitions were flawless and he really keyed in on the crowd's energy level throughout the night. We met with Eric a week before our wedding and presented him a short list of songs and music styles we wanted to hear as well as the reception schedule. Eric provided great guidance and helped us fine tune our reception details. In addition to DJing Eric provided announcement services for dinner, toasts, cake cutting, etc. The best part of our night was the surprise "Dance Off" I had with my mother. Eric allowed me to provide him a pre-mixed track and helped energize our guests as my mother and I heated up the dance floor. Throughout the night I received countless compliments on how well DJ Eric Rhodes entertained our guests as well as his level of professionalism. I am recommending Eric to all of our friends for future weddings, parties, and other events here in the Treasure Valley.

Going with Rhodes Entertainment was the best thing we did for our wedding. From the beginning, Eric provided insight for the day of planning to make things go as smooth as possible. The playlist he created from our song list was phenomenal, we had compliments from our guests, the bartenders, and from venue staff on music quality and selection. He was very personable and professional, and made sure our day went off without a hitch. He cared about our input and provided the best service possible based on our wants/needs for the day. Our wedding day was a huge success, and we can thank Eric Rhodes for being a great part of that.
