Revolution Summer photography was an absolute pleasure to work with! Corey, the photographer, was so dedicated from our first phone call to doing whatever it took to get a great shot. He literally was climbing down trees onto slippery rocks in a pond to get the right angle - and was happy to do it! Both my husband and I are not used to being photographed and were nervous about looking stiff but Corey is so personable and friendly that we were immediately at ease. It was enjoyable and fun and he makes you feel comfortable. But the best thing about Revolution Summer photography is his photographs. After going through the photos he took, I could feel everything I was feeling during our wedding. He is so gifted and was able to create images that will help me remember how our wedding day felt. What a gift we will cherish always. I highly recommend Corey for any event you would like to remember forever.

When I was looking for photographers for the wedding it was important to me that I found a "documentary" style photographer - and someone who's work actually reflected this more than just using it as a buzzword to describe their services ; not because it is trendy, but because I HATE PHOTOS. I have never liked photos of myself, and I am not comfortable in front of the camera. I have also been in plenty of weddings where the couple misses out on half of the night because they are spending so much time posing for photos. I expressed all of this to Corey at our initial meeting and he assured me that outside of a few quick formal photoshoots (first look, golden hour, & family photos) we wouldn't even know he was there - and he followed through with that promise. Corey's work was beautiful - I got exactly what I wanted and you can see the love in everyone in our photos. The only thing I would change if I could go back in time would be to request a longer time window, or a second shooter because there were a few moments and people that I wish we had captured, but we were too busy living in the moment. -

Obsessed with our wedding photos
Corey was the absolute best photographer we could've hoped for. We wanted beautiful photos that captured the real emotions and moments of our wedding and that's exactly what we got.
Throughout the wedding planning process, Corey was communicative, organized, and helped us choose our priorities and timeline for the day.
On the day of the wedding, he was super present and on schedule; he was so comfortable to have around, flexible to meet our needs, and had a warm and friendly attitude that added to the day.
We got some preview photos on Instagram just a few days after the wedding, and our full edited album within a few weeks.
And we're obsessed with our photos!!! Corey is extremely skilled at what he does, and he's got exactly the professionalism and personality you want to have support you on your wedding day. -

We could not be happier with our decision to work with Corey for our wedding. First and foremost, his work product exceeded all our hopes and expectations. He is a truly talented photographer/photojournalist. He captured the moments that made up our wedding day organically and authentically. The results are beautiful and true to us as a couple. We were thrilled to see the photos he posted just days after the wedding, and even more happy to explore the full gallery, which he produced much more quickly than other wedding photographers seem to. Looking at his photographs, we can relive the day and see ourselves being us: smiling, laughing, dancing. It is a magical thing. Second, and just as important, Corey was a pleasure to work with--leading up to the wedding, the day of, and afterwards. He is a calm, friendly person who we genuinely enjoyed getting to know. He is also organized, communicative, and attentive to detail. We are just so pleased and cannot recommend Corey enough. -

We hired Corey at Revolution Summer Photography for our wedding at Woodstock Inn & Brewery in Woodstock, NH and we can't say enough good things about the experience! We wanted someone to capture the day as it was, with a focus on candids and Corey absolutely delivered just that, rain and all! First off, Corey is excellent!
His sense of professionalism was apparent right from the start. Corey answered all our planning/timeline questions as we prepared for the day. Day of he did a great job of bouncing between the individual bridal suites capturing all our getting ready shots. It felt as if there was a picture to take, Corey was there. Even when there wasn't an obvious picture to take, or a moment to capture, Corey was able to make each and every moment shine. He turned seemingly benign moments into stunning images that we will remember forever. He is simply an excellent photographer!
The ceremony ended up being held inside due to weather, but it didn't matter where the photos were concerned. Corey was able to capture the intimate feeling of the indoor ceremony better than we had expected. We also had an issue with our DJ, where we were supposed to have a lot more lighting during the reception, and not only was he able to capture the party vibe of our reception even with the less than ideal lighting, he was also the person to notify us of our DJ's mis-hap. We we're thankful for his professional knowledge to pull us aside and make us aware of a missed detail that we 'd paid for and deserve a refund for that we likely wouldn't have noticed until after the fact.
I could go on and on about Revolution Summer Photography, but I'll leave it with this: if you want to truly capture the feelings of your special day, hire Corey and rest assured you'll get what you want. Our only regret is not paying him for more time! Also, he's a really great guy! Aside from his expertise, he was a fun and charming presence at our wedding! -

When we first started working with Corey, he assured us that his goal wasn't just to capture our day in photos but to really capture the "feel" of our day...and he couldn't have been more spot on. Looking through our photos brings us right back to every magical moment of our wedding day. The emotions, the movements, the colors, the love...every part of it is portrayed in Corey's pictures.

Lifetime Memories to Savor
We cannot say enough good things about Corey! As people who aren't always comfortable in front of the camera, we wanted to find a photographer who really captured the energy of the day beyond just the traditional portraits. Corey's documentary style was exactly what we were looking for - when we got the first pictures back, we couldn't stop smiling because he truly captured the emotion of the day perfectly. All we've talked about since our wedding is how much we want to relive that one perfect day, and Corey's photos are the way we can relive every step of it. Beyond the quality of his work, which speaks for itself, on the day of our wedding Corey was somehow everywhere, getting shots of everything, while blending into the fabric of the day so seamlessly. We picked Corey because we wanted someone with experience in taking candid, authentic photos of us and our guests celebrating, and he delivered in spades. From the outset he was accommodating, responsive, and offered guidance to make sure we had all our bases covered beforehand.
On the day of, he fell right in with the rest of the guests, cracking jokes and making everyone feel relaxed and comfortable as he captured us getting ready. His skill at posed shots was just as excellent when it came time for the family photos, and he got through them in record time so that we could all head over to cocktail hour and get to the fun part.
As for the photos themselves, they were phenomenal! I wasn't sure any photo could capture the beauty and fun that all of us were experiencing, but he proved me wrong. We're so happy with the candid style, showing everyone's genuine smiles, laughs, and tears of joy.
Corey also got us the completed online album blazingly fast, in just a couple of weeks; way earlier than expected. He even curated a slideshow of his highlights of the wedding. We, our friends, and our families have all loved poring over the whole album, and will treasure it for many years to come.
Thanks again - we hope neither of us ever need to get married again, but if we do, we'll know who to call!

Excellent photographer
We used Corey for our wedding and engagement pictures. We worked with him for several months and he was always super responsive and clear with expectations, pricing, and giving us ideas. The whole process was made super easy. We knew what his vision was and how to help execute it to get the best results. Expectations for the events were also made clear and put into writing which was nice. Corey also met with us remotely and in person to discuss, always making himself available with our busy schedules.
The day of the wedding he arrived ahead of schedule to set up and scope out the venue. All the pictures we wanted were taken, he also captured incredible photos throughout the day which told a story of the wedding. This included us getting ready, setting up the venue, ceremony, reception, and first dances. All the little moments that make the day special are now captured in photos. Looking back through the photos, we're able to recount what we were doing and we just couldn't stop smiling. The photos are all very high quality and were provided to us just two weeks after our wedding. We expected Corey to deliver great photos based on his portfolio but we were still absolutely blown away. These photos will absolutely be cherished for years to come.
If you're looking for a professional to help guide you through the process of having a photographer, who is affordable, easy going, and clear with his artistic vision this is your guy. Thank you so much for doing an extraordinary job documenting our day. -

Corey took incredible photos of our day, and we couldn't be more grateful. He really put us at ease, was personable with us and our guests, and was great at keeping us on schedule once we got into the thick of the celebrations. The photos came back promptly after the wedding, and were a mixture of color and black and white shots.
I would describe Corey's photography style as documentary, which was perfect for us, because we didn't want our photos to look too choreographed. His shots look really organic, and we appreciate that he stayed true to the vibe of our day. We will remember our wedding even more clearly because Corey's shots captured the action, and are not just an album of posed 'moments'. Really the photos speak for themselves, but we can't recommend him enough! -

Corey, at Revolution Summer Photography, helped make our day so special! His kind and calm attitude made everyone comfortable on the wedding day. He came into the house and I remember feeling frazzled and stressed, and he was so affirming and kind saying "that is totally normal." Corey was incredibly flexible. My husband and I highly recommend Corey to be your wedding photographer! He does such a beautiful job capturing the essence of a wedding. He captured the pure joy, love, and fun from our wedding. My husband and I and all of our friends and family said they couldn't stop smiling looking at the wedding photo gallery. It really felt like we were able to relive the wedding through his photographs. His candid, documentary style may not be the right fit for everyone, but it certainly was for us. We have photos that are both beautiful and so authentic to us, our wedding, and our friends and family. So many special small moments were caught by Corey and multiple guests said they didn't even realize Corey was there. He does such a good job of just blending into the wedding, but making sure to capture all of the most important moments. On top of that, he is just a super nice guy who we enjoyed spending time with. He was casual and made us feel comfortable. I also appreciated that he was willing to voice his opinions based on his expertise. He so thoughtfully gave us some physical photos during our wedding as a gift that were so sweet. He got our photos back within two weeks which was incredibly impressive and there were SO many photos. We can't stop looking at them. If you're looking for authentic, joyful photos, do yourself a favor and hire Corey! -

Corey photographed our engagement photos, our private family only ceremony, and our reception party. Each one of these assignments was very different. A very wet waterfall setting, a mid day shoot with cloud cover, and a nighttime boat party during a thunderstorm. Despite the 3 wildly varying conditions Corey photographed in, he delivered fantastic results. We could not be happier with how the photos turned out from each venture he photographed.
To me this is the sign of a great photographer. Anyone can take good photos in a controlled, well lit setting. Corey's adaptability sets him apart from other photographers I've worked with in my professional career.
Lastly, what separates Corey from other wedding photographer's I've seen, is that he's not just taking pictures, he's capturing moments. We are so happy with how his candid photos came out. Moments that might be preserved only by fleeting memories are now able to be relived through his photos. It brings us so much joy when we look back on these special occasions. -

Revolution Summer (Corey) did a phenomenal job for our small, rural Maine wedding. They set a high bar among the rest of our vendors in terms of communication, outreach, professionalism and care to their craft. Whether it was multiple video chats leading up to the day, going over the timeline and providing input as needed, or taking liberty with the day as things need changing or adjustments, Corey was steadfast in doing the best job for us. Our guests have loved the photos from our gallery, and we were able to keep ones we wanted just for us to be only ours on their portal once it was published. We also personally felt at ease with Corey in terms of personality, interests and general demeanor, which was important to us as our wedding was small and believed the vibe our vendors gave off was as important as the guests we invited.
Overall, we would highly recommend Corey if you are looking for professional photos from a more journalistic lens, with fewer staged shots and more candid pictures that tell the story of your day authentically. -

Captured The Day Perfectly
We were so blessed to have found Corey as our photographer. What first caught our eye was how beautiful his pictures were, and once we saw he worked so well in our budget we booked him instantly! And we are so glad we did. We are not the most comfortable in front of a camera, but Corey made it so fun! It felt so casual and not forced! Our engagement session was our first time meeting and he made us feel so comfortable. He asked a very interesting question before the wedding, one I hadn’t expected, but so appreciated. “What or who do you want me to focus on? Because some couples mostly want them, some mostly want their guests and family.” We asked that our photos be mostly us, and us interacting with our guests, and pictures of any children at the wedding. He did exactly that! On the wedding day he moved so effortlessly through a busy room of bridesmaids and myself getting ready, as well as the groomsmen and groom. Corey also made sure that any photos of family, and wedding party done during the cocktail hour moved quickly so that we could enjoy that time too. He captured our ceremony and reception so beautifully. The emotion of our guests as well as us were felt through every photo! We are so grateful to have such beautiful pictures to look back on! -

To keep it short and sweet, Corey is amazing in every way. From the business side of things to his photography, obviously, he is an absolute pro. Simply the best.
Words can't express how much we adore Corey! First and foremost, he's so down-to-earth and incredibly experienced. We truly enjoyed all of our interactions together. As for the day itself, we were originally planning on an outdoor sunny day, but it was pouring rain! Once he arrived, Corey sprang into action to scout new indoor locations to shoot in. He found several great options in the moment that ended up looking absolutely spectacular. Corey is so great at finding those special candid moments, we were so happy with all he captured. Lastly, a lot of other photographers withold the rights to the full-resolution photos they capture, but we had full access to all that was shot without having to pay extra. That was so important to us! We highly recommend Corey and we were so lucky to have booked him when we did! -

Corey was great to work with!
I found Corey online after looking at several photographers and loved the look of his work! The effortless way he captures the vibe of your big day is unmatched. We got married in October of 2022 and although our ceremony was supposed to be outside, we had to move it indoors last minute due to rain. Thankfully the rain stopped and we were able to get photos outside and Corey captured the day perfectly and we got some amazing candids! He is so laid back and easy to work with and our bridal party loved him too! -

Corey from Revolution Summer Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with, and his photography is stunning. We ended up spending a lot of time with Corey throughout the day, and he was so easygoing and fun to have around. He also recommended a videographer who we were able to hire, and the two of them worked very smoothly together. Corey stayed calm when we were running behind, and most importantly just captured the most beautiful shots of our wedding day. The turnaround was incredibly fast - all of our vendors were wowed by how quickly we got the full set of photos - and we loved so many of them we're still choosing which to include in an album. Finally, we really liked his pricing model (straightforward hourly rate), which allowed us to keep him at the reception for longer when we ended up running a bit behind. We couldn't recommend Corey more highly. -

Absolutely blown away
Corey did a fantastic job. We picked Corey somewhat at random as we do not live in the northeast/Maine areas. We were thoroughly impressed with his entire process: communication, engagement shoot, direction, and video meeting. The actual wedding photos were the best part - he did an unbelievable job. Corey at Revolution Summer Photography was literally the perfect photographer for our wedding day! I'm obsessed with his style and his artistic vision, but on top of having a great philosophy and creating truly beautiful images, he was so easy and fun to work with. We got to know him and get comfortable working with him for our engagement shoot before the wedding, but even after postponing the wedding a whole year due to COVID, it still felt so easy to work with Corey when the day finally came. He was very easy-going but excited to get unique, stunning photos that would really capture the complete story of our day and our relationship. His photos are timeless and I know I'll be staring at them for years to come, but I really can't say enough good about how great he was to work with at every step of the process -- very communicative, on top of what he needed from us even when we were a little lost in the weeds ourselves, and he made everyone feel really comfortable while he documented the goings-on of the day. I had seen Corey at work at a wedding a couple of years ago and I knew I had to book him for mine when I got engaged. We booked him nearly two years before our date and he was down to earth, funny, and so easy to work with. He traveled so far to be there with us on our big day but showed up perfectly on time and ready to get those shots. We also got our pictures back super quickly! We have friends who got married a month before us and still don't have anything back yet, so we're super grateful for that. Not to mention the photos are BEAUTIFUL. Thank you Corey!! You rock!! -

We originally hired Corey to photograph our large 200+ person wedding in June 2020, unfortunately the pandemic had other plans. Corey was fantastic and very supportive through the whole postponement process. When we reached out again to see if he was available to photograph our August 2021 micro-wedding (on a Thursday) Corey was more than willing to make it work despite being very busy. We are so thankful! Corey was able to capture the emotions and beauty of our wedding day perfectly and we will cherish these photos for years to come. Stunning Photos
I worked with Corey this past summer for my July wedding. After booking in 2018 and waiting 2 years for our 2020 wedding, only for it to be postponed, Corey was flexible and accommodating.
Corey was prompt on the day and captured some wonderful moments between my husband, myself, our bridal party, and our guests. The day was a bit dreary but the photos were absolutely stunning. I could really tell he took time to make them look amazing.
Corey even gave us a small gift at the reception of a few polaroids of the photos he took that day. He is a wonderful, talented photographer. If you are looking for some great pictures I recommend booking him! -

Wedding photography
We hired Corey to do both our engagement shoot and our wedding. His style of photography is exactly what we were looking for.
We just got all of our photos back and they all turned out incredible. Corey was able to capture our wedding in such a beautiful and unique way that shows all of the emotion from the day. You can tell there is a ton of extra work that he put in to sort through and edit photos and the quality speaks for itself. He really captured our essence in his photos and his work is extremely genuine. I would recommend Corey to anybody and we are grateful that he agreed to capture our big day.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, I cannot recommend Corey Butler of Revolution Summer Photographer highly enough. Corey was our photographer for our intimate vow renewal in Orono, Maine in May of 2021. I’ve known Corey since undergrad, and have been in awe of his photography skills for nearly as long. I’ve seen a lot of his wedding photos over the years and am always blown away by how gorgeous they are. Between his incredible skills and easygoing nature, I was sure I wanted him for my wedding photographer, and I’m so glad I chose him.
Corey’s photojournalist approach really appealed to me. He documents the day in a way that tells a story, and works to capture the little things as well as the big moments. For example, he snapped pictures of my sis putting a heel cover on my heels because she’s the one with the muscles. Me chatting with my grammie after the ceremony. Me feeding my friendly neighborhood squirrel, Chip. It makes me smile to see so many of these little moments preserved on film. His photos embody the spirit of the day. He does include the standard family and couples photos too, but it’s not like one of those situations where you’re posing for hours. For the couples photos, he can provide coaching if you want, but he’s also willing to take your lead. He gave a few prompts here and there, but once we got the hang of things, he largely left it up to us. The whole process felt surprisingly natural and the pictures don’t look forced.
Corey is easy to work with and accommodating. We were supposed to have a bigger scale wedding in 2020, but the pandemic made that impossible. However, Corey was understanding and we were able to reschedule without any issues. We then had a family medical issue come up and had to push our vow renewal back by a day, and Corey was willing to adjust his schedule to meet our needs. He’s also quick to respond. When I had questions for him, he got back to me promptly with thorough answers.
My partner and I ended up scaling down our plans significantly after the pandemic messed up our original plans, and I was a little nervous about having a professional photographer at such a basic ceremony. However, once Corey was there, I quickly lost my self-consciousness. He fit in seamlessly, and got along well with everyone. Even though Corey has photographed weddings way more elaborate than mine, I didn’t feel judged and felt like he provided me with the same quality work as he would have a fancier ceremony.
The photos are absolutely stunning. We had our ceremony in an ornamental garden, and the couples photos look like something out of a fairy tale. They definitely look a lot more elegant than our ceremony’s price tag might suggest. I still can’t get over how picturesque they are.

Corey was amazing to work with and made the whole process easy and seamless. I was originally looking for a photographer with a documentary style to really capture my wedding day in a genuine way, and that is exactly what Corey was able to do. The first time I met Corey was on the wedding day, and was nervous it would feel weird with a stranger capturing intimate moments, but Corey's attitude and warmth made it feel like we were old friends. Corey was very responsive to all my questions and never made me feel like the millions of questions I was asking were silly. The pictures were returned very quickly (3 weeks!!!) after the wedding and they all looked better than I could have imagined. Corey was such a great addition to our team of wedding vendors. The number one reason we hired him was because I loved all of the photos on his website where he captured beautiful intimate moments among people and he absolutely delivered for us. So many unique moments captured! I loved his "document the day as it happens" approach and minimal amount of staging and posing.
Corey doesn't nickle and dime clients. He doesn't charge you to have access to your photos. We had a great time working with him. He was very flexible and understanding of last minute changes. And he is very quick with the turnaround. He put photos up on Facebook the night of the wedding and we had all of our edited photos within three weeks. Highly recommend hiring Corey! -
