The Colonnade at Revolutions Mill is an ideal place to have a wedding because of the exceptional service, venue aura, and versatility in space. They go the extra mile to make your special day perfect. Even if it is raining, the space can accommodate a large crowd. I did not see any other venue in the Triad as appealing. It is so very elegant and classy. -

If you've never ventured over to Revolution Mill you are in for a treat! The space is absolutely enchanting. The courtyard is beautifully maintained and feels like you’re walking into a secret garden. The event space is filled with original hardwood flooring and complemented by beautiful wrought iron railings. Our guests loved the open floor plan with plenty of room for dancing and the outside fire pit for some quiet conversations. The bridal suite has a flood of natural light perfect for your make-up artist, its own private bathroom and plenty of comfortable seating.
When working with The Colonnade you get the added perk of exceptional service. Jaime and Randy are the best. Their calm and friendly manner helps keep you grounded and their extensive wedding/event planning knowledge is priceless. As an added bonus, Jaime represents both the venue and the preferred catering team, Pepper Moon. It was so convenient to have meetings where we could talk about everything from ceremony chair placement to hors d'oeuvres to our signature cocktails. We were even able to order drinks and snacks for our bridal/groom suites.
I loved all the little details that came with planning a wedding and at The Colonnade I knew nothing would be overlooked. Jaime and Randy provided helpful industry insight and allowed us to shape our wedding to be everything we dreamed of. -

Best wedding ever
My husband and I had the most amazing experience at The Colonnade! After our first venue fell through, but we lucked up and found The Colonnade, which turned out to be a better fir for us. Our wedding was everything and more. Jaime and Randy were great and helped to make our big day magical and were there every step of the way to assist with any of our needs/wants for the big day. They also have the option to have your ceremony inside or outside, which I loved! It was helpful that so much was included (rehearsal dinner/food/tables/chairs/ lighting/ bar/staff and much more) - a one stop shop! Couldn't have picked a better place to have our special day! -

My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about The Colonnade at Revolution Mill. From the first day all the way until the wedding, Jaime and her team were professional, attentive and world class. Jaime was always quick to respond to our emails and questions and made sure that all our requests were completed. Our wedding day was absolutely special, and our guests loved the beautiful and historic venue space. We enjoyed the wedding showcase put on by The Colonnade because it allowed us to sample the food and to see what decor and vendors we wanted for our wedding. A big advantage of The Colonnade as compared to other venues was that they took care of a lot of the heavy lifting, providing much of the equipment, supplies, services that you would need for a wedding, such as china and cutlery, wine glasses, drapes and lighting, linens, chairs, catering, and a full-service bar. The billing and quotes for our wedding were all transparent, and we felt that we paid exactly what we were quoted with no surprises. The food for our wedding was delicious and received many compliments from our guests. The wait staff were professional, and we loved having Randy as our Event Manager. He made sure that the rehearsal and wedding day themselves ran smoothly and seamlessly. We highly recommend The Colonnade at Revolution Mill for your event or wedding. -

First off the venue is gorgeous!! And the people who work there are beautiful as well! Inside and out! Jaime and Ben couldn’t have been any nicer and patient!!! Honestly I would do our wedding over again just to work with such amazing people. They’re responsive and understanding helped us a lot! -

Revolution Mill is one of the most beautiful venues I've seen! The wood with the brick was just so eye catching and made our wedding have a rustic, relaxed look. We were so happy with Jaime and the time and effort she put into us having a wedding during this virus. She was on constant calls and emails trying to keep us from moving our wedding date after we had already moved it. The wedding day was everything and more. The staff was amazing and anything we needed they took care of it for us and they also created the space to be safe for everyone during this virus by putting up plexi glass and sanitizing stations at every corner. We are so thankful for such an amazing and friendly staff! -

Revolution Mill was truly the best wedding venue my husband and I could have ever asked for. Not only is the overall event space beautiful, but the entire staff at RM is wonderful. Jaime was so fantastic to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Any question that I had she was able to answer it immediately and offer advice! The courtyard space is beautiful and was perfect for a fall ceremony. The new bridal suite is absolutely gorgeous and my bridal party and I loved getting ready there the day of the wedding! I truly only have positive things to say about our experience at RM. Thank you so much to Jaime, Randy, and the wonderful staff at RM!! :) -

Revolution Mill was the only venue I looked at for my wedding reception. I fell in love immediately at the open house and knew I wouldn't be able to beat it. It is so beautiful inside and out! Jaime was amazing to work with through the entire planning process. She answered every question I had and was always able to make suggestions if we weren't sure about something. Randy was also so great on the day of making sure everything was going how we planned. Everything was perfect, and I'm so glad we chose Revolution Mill! -

I am eternally grateful that we found The Colonnade at Revolution Mill for our wedding venue! The space is so beautiful, and so versatile. There are so many options for where to have your ceremony, how to lay out your reception, and a variety of places for amazing photographs. I really loved having both our ceremony and reception space in the same location; the room flip was seamless thanks to the awesome venue team! Jamie and Randy run a top notch show. They are so incredibly helpful from start to finish. Jamie was very responsive to my questions and great at offering advice and troubleshooting during the planning process. I really loved having Pepper Moon catering in house too. We received a lot of compliments on our menu choices from our guests, everything was delicious! I highly recommend attending an open house (or two) before your big day! -

Revolution Mills is a beautiful venue for a wedding - their outdoor courtyard is beautiful, and in the case of our day when it rained, the indoor back up option was just as beautiful. They were also flexible and let me wait until the morning of the wedding to make a final decision regarding indoor vs outdoor location as I hoped the weather might change. Jaime was so attentive and helped us create our perfect day, thinking of little details that had not even crossed my mind. Her communication was clear and quick, from planning my walk through of Revolution Mills at the beginning to answering last minute day-of questions from my end. We were able to use their TVs to play a slideshow during cocktail hour which was special. The updated bridal suite is gorgeous, and we received many compliments on the delicious food. We are still enjoying leftovers and thinking of our special weekend at the Colonnade! -

Great wedding experience!!
My husband and I had our wedding at Revolution Mill. Everyone told me that I was crazy to not hire a wedding planner; however, with the help of Rev Mill staff, specifically Jaimie, we were able to pull it off smoothly! Her communication was phenomenal! She asked the right questions and made herself available to us at all times! Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and organized our special day was and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing staff! The bridal suit added the perfect touch to a perfect day! The most important decision to make regarding your special day is the venue and food and I am proud to say that The colonnade at Revolution Mill and Peppermoon Catering definitely delivered! Lastly, the venue has a plethora of places for excellent photos! 😉Thanks again for your help with making our wedding a dream come true! -

The perfect venue
My husband and I got married at Revolution Mills on June 8th. Our wedding day was a dream come true! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful with the exposed brick, wood beams, and all of the natural lighting. Add your own personal touches and it's just that much more beautiful. This venue has so much to offer, from indoor to outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour locations, an incredible bridal suite, multiple bar locations, and top notch staff to name a few. This venue also offers tasting events which provides you with the opportunity to see the venue set up for a wedding/reception, tastes a variety of different entrees and hors d'oeuvres, as well as meet many different vendors.
I can't say enough great things about the staff. Jaime, the venue manager, is heaven sent! She is simply incredible at her job. She makes the entire planning process so much easier by sending email reminders and setting up meetings to discuss ceremony and reception details. I was planning to have an outdoor ceremony but mother nature was not allowing that. Jaime helped ease my nerves and came up with an incredible, last minute, indoor ceremony plan. I am actually happy that the ceremony ended up being inside. The pictures turned out beautiful and everyone was comfortable in the AC! Luckily the weather permitted outdoor pictures after the ceremony which turned out beautiful!
The rest of the staff was wonderful on our wedding day! They ensured that Michael and I had everything we needed while getting ready. They set up, served, cleaned, cut the cake, and did everything in between effortlessly. We are so appreciative of all of the help that was provided on our wedding day to make everything flow so smoothly!
I can't say enough great things about this venue. If you're looking for a beautiful venue, great food, and incredible staff then this the right place for you! -

If I could give this venue more than 5 stars I would!! This met and exceeded every singe expectation I ever had. There is not a single bad thing I would say. Beautiful, elegant, romantic, and fun. There is something for every bride and every groom. The fact that it has a beautiful outdoor space just as nice as the inside is a true PLUS. Truly the best decision I made! The staff at The Colonnade at Revolution Mill was extremely attentive, loving, and caring. I will be recommending this venue to anyone and everyone. -

We had an AMAZING experience with Revolution Mills. The staff from the venue coordinator to each individual waiter was friendly, accommodating, and professional. Nothing went wrong on our big day, and we had so much fun. They also provide Pepper Moon Catering, which was delicious. We were able to have an open bar with beer and wine and cash for liquor, bring our own cake, and set up our own decorations. Their new bridal suite is also beautiful and spacious; there's even a drawer with extra bobby pins, thread, etc. I honestly would not do anything differently, except book more time at The Colonnade. -

I can't even say enough words that would measure up to how amazing having a wedding at The Colonnade was.
Everyone who I came in contact with was so kind and helpful. I probably changed my mind a million times on something and was greeted with kindness every time. Every response was fast- every need was met. The staff was truly amazing and made everything fall into place without error. Not to mention the event space is BEAUTIFUL. Every guests commented on how gorgeous the space was and it truly was a magical night. I could not recommend enough times- have your wedding at The Colonnade.
Also, the food was phenomenal. Our guests could not stop talking greatly about the delicious food and catering staff.

A great wedding venue
If you want an industrial themed wedding than you will love Revolution Mills high ceilings, the wrought iron railings, and the beautiful arched cathedral windows. Jaime was very easy to work with and Randy did a great job with all of the day of activities. Rev Mill offers a very large and open event space for the reception. Pepper Moon Catering is the caterer of this venue and they are amazing! Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was. I couldn’t be happier that I chose Revolution Mills for my wedding, however, there are some down sides to this venue. Brides, if you plan on getting married during Hurricane season please be aware that Revolution sits in a heavy flood zone (Buffalo Creek is known for over flooding with heavy rain). Also, right now the venue does not offer the perfect bridal suite. It’s small and gets quite stuffy with a larger bridal party. I have heard they are creating a larger bridal suite so that will be nice. Lastly, unless you want to pay more to get ready at the venue, you only get the venue for 8 hours. It would be nice to have the venue all day to get ready with your girls without having to rush around. Overall, I love Revolution Mills, it is absolutely beautiful. Jaime and her team will do all they can to give you the perfect wedding! -

I loved everything about this venue, the look is just amazing, the staff so helpful and accommodating, Jaime Gilliam was so easy to work with and helped answer any and all questions and offered great suggestions, and lastly our day of manager helped make our day run perfectly with no worries! Overall I love everything about this venue and would highly recommend using this venue! -
Britney Sent on 08/06/2018Jaime and her staff at Revolution Mill were absolutely fantastic! My husband and I got engaged in January 2017 and booked our venue in February 2017. We were recently married on July 28, 2018. Throughout our one-and-a-half-year engagement, Jaime kept in touch with us, often checking in, and helped us plan our special day. She was friendly, hospitable, and kind from the moment we inquired about getting married at the Colonnade at Revolution Mill.
As our engagement progressed, Jaime reminded us of items that needed to be complete, sent us our updated contract(s) as we made changes, and really focused on what was important to us on our wedding day. She provided us with multiple opportunities to attend tastings and allowed us to walk through the venue closer to our big day to get a feel of how things would work. Jaime answered all of my emails immediately and was so easy to correspond with.
Revolution Mill is an absolutely gorgeous venue. We used the ivory linens that were provided and added our own blush accents. Jaime even put us in contact with a company that we could rent linens and other items from for our special day. Any time that Jaime saw an opportunity to help us save money, she shared it with us so that we could decide whether to pursue the suggestion.
Our food was out of this world! We received so many compliments from our guests about our menu options. The staff was accommodating and made my husband and I feel like royalty on our wedding day. We wanted for nothing. The staff also treated our guests with respect and hospitality. Many of our guests complimented how friendly the staff was and how much they enjoyed our venue. We also received compliments about the venue’s beauty in general. It truly doesn’t get any better than Revolution Mill.
From start to finish, Jaime made the wedding planning process easy (and stress free). Thank you, Jaime, for making our day everything that we wanted it to be and more! -

I had a wonderful experience with Revolution Mill and our wedding in May 2021! We got engaged in 2019 and booked The Colonnade shortly before the whole world flipped upside down with the Covid-19 pandemic! I am super grateful that we were able to keep the original date that we chose and that we only had to cut a small number of guests! Jaime and Randy really helped so much! Most of my contact was with Jaime, with lots of emails and questions! She was prompt and courteous every time! I am truly grateful to her! Randy ensured that our wedding day and rehearsal went perfectly and kept everything nice and smooth! Revolution Mill is truly beautiful... we got married in the spring, but we visited in the fall and it was so gorgeous then as well! Plenty of space for a large wedding. Exclusive caterer (pepper moon) but flexible with menus. Jaime, the event manager, is very responsive to emails, professional, knowledgable, and great to work with. High-end, classic but modern feel. We loved it! -

We loved our wedding at The Colonnade! We really liked how they had catering and alcohol included with use of the venue. There were also a ton of way to customize your wedding with add-ons. We toured and booked with Ben and were handed off to Aimee for all things planning. In our experience with her she was not as responsive to emails and inquiries as I had hoped a wedding venue would be.
Although this is in no way a direct reflection of the venue’s stance on the subject, from what I personally understand about the wedding industry, the justification for venues and vendors to up charge for weddings is based on the fact that you are getting above and beyond service over what you would receive for a non-wedding event, but unfortunately I do not feel we necessarily received that leading up to our wedding.
Don’t get me wrong, our meetings with Aimee were great, she was organized, gave us tips and suggestions when we weren’t sure how we wanted to do something, and made sure everything came together in the end. It was just scary, especially in the few months before the wedding leading up to deadlines, requesting information from her and having to wait a week or more for a response and sometimes having to follow up multiple times before hearing anything. For comparison, all of our other vendors usually responded next day to inquiries.
Luckily we did pretty much the bare minimum as far as decor, catering, rentals, etc, so there weren’t as many moving parts as, say, someone who had draping, uplighting, multiple interactive stations, rentals, and things like that. So the times we did have to wait for a response weren’t a huge deal. I have no doubt she had everything under control, it just seemed that maybe there is a need for more people in her position to relieve some of the load off her.
The only thing that really went wrong on wedding day was the chairs on either side of the aisle were not positioned so that the aisle was centered on the window we got married in front of. This is not even something that was on my radar to check and I immediately noticed when while I was walking down the aisle. We did not get to rehearse at the venue so this may have been caught if we had. It just seems like something at least someone working there would have noticed if they regularly set up for weddings in that location. Now all of our ceremony pics are off center lol.
Alex was our venue manager for the day of the wedding. She definitely made our lives easier, working with our coordinator and photographer to keep everything on schedule. She was more behind the scenes day of but she occasionally checked up on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. She was great to work with!
Peppermoon catering was great as well. We went to multiple showcases at the venue where you get to try menu items so we knew the food was good, but we got multiple compliments from guests as well. Overall, I think I would recommend The Colonnade for a wedding, as our experience may have just been a one-off since we did have such a simple wedding, time and attention may have been allotted to other couples with more going on details wise. -
