If you're looking for a bespoke, heartfelt, authentically crafted ceremony, then I cannot recommend Rev Kath enough. Creating a personalized ceremony that truly honored our relationship journey was my main wedding priority and Katherine both honored and elevated my vision. After only meeting via video call a handful of times, Rev Kath was able to write a ceremony that felt written from an old friend's perspective. She genuinely took the time to learn who were are as individuals and capture our love story. She was incredibly professional and kind to work with (in fact when my grandfather's hearing aid went out mid-ceremony, she gave him her written copy of the ceremony so he could read it afterwards). Even my guests came to me afterwards and shared that they "could listen to [Kath] speak for hours!" Other guests commented on how heartful and personal the ceremony felt. I honestly attribute so much of that to Katherine. Let her marry you - you won't regret it!! -

We are so glad that Jacob officiated our wedding! Our planner referred us to Reverend Katherine Dupree, and she thought Jacob would be a great fit for us. From our first meeting, Jacob was easy to talk to and immediately made us feel comfortable. He asked thoughtful questions to get to know us, and we found ourselves laughing with him right away.
His thorough questionnaire helped us share our story in a way that let him design a ceremony that truly reflected who we are as a couple. I especially loved that Scott and I didn’t get to see each other’s answers ahead of time, so parts of the ceremony were a fun surprise. We also wrote our own vows but wanted to keep them secret from each other until the wedding while still making sure they felt balanced. Even though we sent them to him at the last minute (the night before!), Jacob reviewed them and reassured me that they worked beautifully together.
Working with Jacob was seamless, and the ceremony he created for us was heartfelt, personal, and perfectly matched our vibe. We are so glad Jacob was our officiant! -

Katherine was absolutely amazing. She spent time with us, getting to know what we wanted in our ceremony as well as getting to know us personally. She is incredibly sweet and responsive. I was nervous about standing in front of a crowd but Katherine made it all a breeze. So many people came up to us at the reception to say what a great job she did! We are so thankful Katherine made our ceremony perfect. -

Reverend Katherine was hands down one of the best parts of our entire wedding day. From the moment I saw her officiate my cousin’s wedding, I knew she was the officiant for us. She was kind and flexible in the consultation process; she was more than willing to work out flying from the DMV to do our wedding in SWFL. Her consultation process was like talking to a friend; she spoke to us for about an hour without us even having to commit with a deposit or a contract and that showed me everything I needed to know about her dedication to her work. She is funny, an incredible listener, and empathetic. I knew that she was processing everything we were saying and that it was all going to be considered. Sure enough, Reverend Katherine’s ceremony was full of little details that we forgot even telling her because we were just so comfortable talking with her! Between the consult and the Google form, Reverend Katherine had everything she needed to be caught up on a 14 year long relationship and it showed. She spoke from the heart and it felt like she had been along for the ride over all those years. She matched the energy we had been hoping for and there was not a dry eye in the house. We laughed, cried, and had a trip down memory lane guided by Reverend Katherine. After the ceremony, so many of my guests stopped to tell me how much they loved her — which is the exact thing I did when I saw her at my cousin’s wedding the year prior! If you need a clearer demonstration of Reverend Katherine’s heart and dedication: she stuck around and waited for one of my vendors to run and get the marriage license I left back at the hotel so she could sign it with the actual date and so that we didn’t run into any legal issues later on down the road. Reverend Katherine is not someone doing this gig for the money or accolades — she is damn good at her job but that’s because she loves what she does and the people she works with and it shows. I hope that the next wedding I go to has Reverend Katherine because no other ceremony will ever compare! -

Rev Kath was literally one of the best choices we made when planning our wedding. Her personality was a perfect match for us - Rev Kath is so kind, genuine, and caring, with a great sense of humor! We clicked immediately, and she made our day so absolutely perfect and special. I highly recommend doing the Date Night with her - not only did my wife and I get to bond in ways we didn't expect, but we really got to bond with Rev and I think that was reflected in our ceremony (and she is also an Excellent chef!!) We also opted for the day-of grounding ceremony, which was the most lovely start to our day - I'm fully convinced I wasn't stressed at all because of Rev and her grounding! She has such a calming & connected presence and she truly has a special gift for this. Look no further and book Rev Dupree ASAP!!! -

Amazing & personal ceremony!
We cannot begin to express how glad we are to have stumbled upon Rev through an online search. She is amazing. Rev understood who we were so quickly through chatting with us and this is because of the care and time she put in to asking us great questions so she could get to know us and our story. She is kind, genuinely interested to learn about us and immediately made us feel at ease while talking to her. She took such care in crafting the words for our ceremony.
Our wedding was a perfect balance of calm, emotional, happy and momentous. We didn't want a super formal ceremony, nor super romantic (although we're sure Rev would do an amazing job with that kind of ceremony too) - we really wanted to share our story with laughter and light heartedness.
Our friends and family could not stop talking about how wonderful our ceremony was and all said it was the most personal and best wedding ceremony they have attended. Many of our guests assumed that Rev was a close personal friend that we asked to officiate because of how well she knew our story and were surprised when we told them otherwise!
We're so grateful to have found Rev, for her giving us such a wonderful ceremony, and we really hope to remain in touch as friends now!

We cannot say enough about the Rev.! From beginning to end she has been nothing but genuine and easy to work with. It is clear how much she loves what she does and how much she loves working with her couples. Her words left us happy crying, laughing, feeling, and being in the moment. When we asked her to make a couple corrections/suggestions she had no problem editing and wasn't going to settle until the final product was perfect. Multiple guests at the wedding came up to us after the ceremony and commented on how her words were so beautiful and well worded. -

Katherine was so wonderful and was easy to work with and gave us some samples to help guide what we wanted her to say, as well as a questionnaire for us to talk about each other. In the end, she gave us a beautiful ceremony, which many of our friends and family complimented afterwards and asked us how we found her because they loved it so much. She created a custom ritual for us that was perfect for the moment that involved some favorite snacks. -

Professional and Easy to Work With!
Katherine was so easy to work with. When initially meeting with us, she did a great job of getting to know what we wanted out of our ceremony/wedding. She had some pre-made scripts to give us a few options to work off of. From there, we were able to collaborate on a couple minor tweaks to make sure it worked for us.
The day of the wedding, Katherine was very professional. She made us feel comfortable, and helped us make sure all the minor details were taken care of.
Overall, we would highly recommend Katherine!

When my spouse and I decided to get married, I knew in an instant that Rev Kath Dupree had to be the officiant. Rev Kath and I had overlapping social circles so I had met her once or twice at events and each time was drawn to her warm and curious energy. She also married a couple of friends and their experience was perfect. But, by the time of our wedding planning, my partner and I were living in Connecticut, she was living in VA, and our wedding was going to be back in North Carolina. Oh and also, the wedding was in four months. That didn't faze her at all. She interviewed us, interviewed two close friends, used a template with lots of unique touches, and the outcome was the most perfect words. She gave us her copy of her words after our ceremony and I'll cherish those pages for the rest of my life. She also did all the legal stuff so that we could just request our marriage license a couple weeks later and voila, it appeared in the mail. Rev, we love you for what you gave us on April 8, 2023. Thank you! May many future weddings be blessed with her presence. -

Choosing Rev was the best decision we could’ve made. She was a safe space for us when trying to navigate a ceremony that truly felt like “us”. Trying to find someone who we would authentically represent our story was one of the most daunting wedding tasks -- until the second we met Rev, when we knew that she would take our story, protect it, and express it in a way more beautiful than we could've imagined.
Our whole ceremony was laughing, crying, and everything in between. Rev truly has a talent for storytelling like no one I have ever met before. Our guests talk about how amazing our ceremony was every time our wedding comes up. Rev will make your ceremony uniquely you.
She also helped my husband and I with our vows – I came to her with a random list of ideas and she gave me the most creative ideas about how to structure them. That ceremony was truly a highlight of my life, thanks to Rev -

I loved working with Katherine! No other human being on this Earth could've possibly pulled off officiating so elegantly the very untraditional circus of a ceremony we created. She is truly an authentic chameleon! She intuitively understood our values and how to navigate the various 'traditions', deciding which to keep and which to toss. Her sample script was a great foundation to work from, and she worked tirelessly alongside us to mold it into shape while we took it all apart and put it back together many times. -

Amazing!
We can not speak highly enough of Rev Katherine! She made us feel so comfortable and at ease during the ceremony planning process, listened to all of our input, and even reached out to our families to add an extra touch of love into our ceremony. The ceremony she designed was more than we could have ever imagined, and all of our guests loved how charismatic she was. We had an "unfiltered" type of script, and Katherine balanced the "real-talk" with the formality (despite her having to quote one of us using the f-word lol)

Katherine is the best!!
Our initial meeting with her was super in depth and cool. She asked us a ton of questions about our relationship and each other, and then she used all that to compile an amazing ceremony script for us. It was so personal and sweet, and included observations that we didn't even notice about ourselves.
I've loved following along on her instagram and seeing how enthusiastic she is about all of her couples. She really made us feel like friends the whole way through. And she took some great snapshots at our wedding, which was super appreciated.
She also took care of mailing our marriage license, which had been on my list of things that were stressing me out because we were leaving for our honeymoon right after. And she sent us all the information about how to obtain the license, order copies, etc. It took a lot off my plate having all that info from her.
It was super important to us that we hire all queer friendly vendors, and there couldn't be a more queer friendly vendor than Katherine! All around she's just a rockstar and you won't regret hiring her for your wedding.
We would highly recommend her any day. -

I knew as soon as I had the first zoom call with Katherine that she would be a perfect match to be the officiant at the celebration of our perfect match! She was so responsive, personable- her quirky awesomeness and style was just an amazing breath of fresh air! When it came down to the words she wrote for our custom elopement ceremony we had no idea how much she knew about us! It was absolute perfection- silly, serious, passionate…it had it all and she touched all bases (and heart strings). I could not stop watching the video of our ceremony and when watching with friends and family there was no dry eyes! Such a very very pleasant surprise! Where do I even start! We interviewed quite a few officiants for our wedding to find exactly what we were looking for and let me tell you, Rev. Katherine met all of our expectations and then some. We love Reverend Kath! From our very first Zoom call, we clicked with her and felt so comfortable. From the first moment we met Rev Dupree, we knew we wanted her to officiate our wedding. She absolutely radiates warmth and has such welcoming energy. Rev went above and beyond— asking us in-depth questions about our relationship and even interviewing both of our parents over the phone. Writing the ceremony was very collaborative and we felt extremely cared for. During the reception, multiple people came up to us asking if the Rev was a long-time, close friend because the ceremony was so unique and personal. It was funny, it was emotional, it was so very us! Stop looking and work with Katherine. Katherine is one of those people that does subtle, kind things that make your day perfect. She's wonderful! She worked with us to customize our content, and helped us learn to consider things like ceremony duration being long enough to give the photographer time to get pictures (so we can remember the moment!). She intentionally dressed to fit within our formality and colors so as not to distract from our moment and from us in the pictures of the ceremony. She was kind to us, and with each meeting gave us little moments to celebrate our wedding, instead of stressing about logistics. We had a quick turn around time (just a couple weeks) and she listened to what we wanted and helped us get there. She has great energy and is a genuinely nice person, and we enjoyed working with her. -

Genuinely amazing person!!
We had such an amazing experience working with Katherine! She officiated our wedding in Raleigh and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. We opted for a semi-custom ceremony & it was perfect. She was able to convey so many details about me and my husband's relationship & made us feel so special on our wedding day. Everyone that came up to us at the wedding said they absolutely loved her & our ceremony! Katherine was so awesome to work with & is there for you with any and all questions.10/10 exceeded my expectations. Working with Rev. Dupree was amazing from beginning to end! We had a chat nearly a year out from our wedding to get to know each other and square away preliminary details. We were a little nervous (it was our first vendor meeting!) but she was just so easy to talk to. Definitely put our worries at ease. She worked with us to help mix and match scripts until we had a ceremony that suited us perfectly! We were looking for a very genuine, comfortable, and relaxed feel for our ceremony and that's exactly the experience we received. We are so happy we hired Rev. Katherine Dupree for our intimate wedding. Rev was amazing, good-hearted, so sweet, and all around the best. We wanted an officiant that we felt a connection with and that was Rev. We were able to meet with her via FaceTime (out of state) to go over the script and finalize for the ceremony. She also traveled to Greensboro from Raleigh. We could not have asked for a better officiant. 100/10 rating. -

Katherine was so cool and professional for my short-notice elopement wedding. I called her 16 days before my wedding and she was more than helpful - and available.
She was the very first person I called for my small wedding and I am so glad. I had no idea how to plan a wedding but she really helped me out with great advice and what felt like 24/7 availability. She even reached out to me afterwards offering her help ordering a copy of my marriage license or changing my name. She has a large amount of knowledge and experience applying to what she does.
What I found to be so cool is that Rev. Dupree personalizes your ceremony. She has a variety of templates to chose from ranging from traditional to adventurous and will tweak them to meet your taste for your day. I myself am not a traditional person at all so I chose the adventurous ceremony which I was more than pleased with. I found the common language so cool and comforting.
She doesn't mind traveling. Katherine traveled about an hour and a half from her home town and hiked up Chimney Rock in order to officiate my wedding. She provides a witness if needed for a small fee which is so helpful.
We even went out for some drinks afterwards with some other members of the wedding party (per suggestion of my new husband and I.) I feel like Ive not only gained a husband but also a friend. Reverend Dupree is awesome. 10/10 would hire her again (hopefully I wont need to). 100 % recommend for your wedding / elopement. I couldn't have picked anyone better to do the job. -

Katherine Dupree is one of the most lovely, vibrant, and considerate individuals I have ever met in my life. We were so incredibly pleased with everything about our ceremony and the process to get there. Katherine works with you to create an experience that is truly unique to you as a couple. Her warmth and kindness are infectious, she even makes a pretty amazing guest if you ask her to stick around and party ;)
While nearly anyone can hop online and snag an officiant license, Katherine is a soul that has a palpable reverence for the work that she does and the sanctity of partnership. We could not be more thankful for having found her! 10/10, top-notch, best in the business!!!!!!!!

Katherine was EXCELLENT and my only wedding planning regret is that we didn’t hire her in the first place. The day before our wedding, our original officiant tested positive for Covid and arranged for Katherine to stand-in. We met her for the first time at our rehearsal that day and she instantly had us at ease despite the last-minute switch up.
Katherine has a calming and friendly presence and she executed our ceremony flawlessly. We had numerous people come up to us after the ceremony and ask us if she was a close friend of ours because of how personal her delivery was. We are thankful she was able to be a part of our day and would 1000% recommend her to anyone looking for a warm and personal ceremony. -

There are not enough good words to communicate how grateful we are for the perfect ceremony Rev Kath wrote for us. The whole process was both simple and meaningful. FATE brought Rev into our lives and I could not be more thankful. My husband and I decided on an adventure elopement out of state so finding vendors was difficult. We originally booked one but unfortunately he double booked us so we were left scrambling to find another one 30 days out. I came across Rev Katherine Dupree online by coincidence and I am forever grateful! Our elopement consisted only of my husband and I and Rev even came over to our Airbnb before the ceremony so I could get ready with another girl. Our time bonding, talking and even helping me get ready meant so much to me and made her marrying us so much more intimate. She drove 3 hours from home, hiked up the side of a mountain in the middle of a cloud, sat through our entire photoshoot and then went and celebrated with us after! We had THE BEST DAY EVER and she played such a huge role. We can't thank her enough for making our day possible. 10000% would recommend! -

Rev Katherine Dupree was amazing at our wedding. We had a microwedding that we wanted to customize and write our own vows and Rev Dupree fulfilled our every need. She was very responsive to our queries and also very professional with a personal touch towards our ceremony. We are very lucky to have her officiate our wedding. She made everyone feel welcomed and lent her unique touch to the ceremony which was made more beautiful by her presence. -
