    Perfect ceremony

    Rev. Sue Ellen did a wonderful ceremony.
    From the first meeting and 30min talks she understood our story and her first ceremony draft and texts proposal were accurate and matching what we wanted. It made it so much easier to finalize it.
    We would recommend Sue in a heartbeat.

    Very supportive and knowledgeable

    Rev Sue made our special day complete with a beautiful ceremony. Our first meeting with Rev Sue before our wedding went very well and we were very comfortable with her doing the ceremony. We did not have a lot of background knowledge in what we wanted for a ceremony but she came prepared with so many different options. She had such a variety of material and options to make our ceremony feel special to us. We wound up writing our own vows and customized our ceremony to perfect fit us, all with her guidance. On our wedding day and the rehearsal she provided a lot of support in making sure everything came together.

    “The best ceremony I have ever been to”

    My husband Luke and I cannot say enough about Rev. Sue Ellen Samuels. She was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. From the moment we met with her, she was kind and very helpful. We needed some guidance with exactly how we wanted our ceremony to be and she answered every question we had. She was prepared with suggestions and asked us the right questions to help us envision our perfect ceremony. We were in contact with Sue for 8 months leading up to our wedding. She was incredibly responsive throughout that time period. We had multiple wedding guests that said it was the nicest ceremony they had ever been to! If you are still searching for an officiant, look no further! We will never forget her kindness, knowledge, and professionalism.

    Rev. Sue is the best!

    Reverend Sue Ellen Samuels is awesome! We loved having her as our officiant. She's professional, detailed oriented, kind, funny and is full of energy. She provided us with great ideas for our ceremony, and guided, not pressured, us with our choices. We could not have been any happier with Rev. Sue!     Great Officiant!

    We loved working with Sue.

    We had one original officiant who started off great and told us everything we wanted to hear but then was unresponsive for months and then eventually canceled on us. We then contacted Sue and she was not only available, but very responsive and open to our ever changing plans from COVID uncertainty. Luckily we were able to have our day as planned, and Sue was there every step of the way, willing to work with whatever came our way.

    She was so easy to talk to, very professional and experienced, and really walked us through everything while being open to what we wanted in a ceremony. She came up with great options and suggestions, gave us tips even, and we just loved how she worked because of her openness and great personality and knowledge.

    She was on time and very organized with both the wedding rehearsal and our wedding day. And we could not suggest a better officiant to work with! Thanks so much Sue, we had the best day.

    If you want a personalized ceremony, Sue is your lady!

    SUE! You saved us - we had no idea what we wanted for our ceremony, besides the end result getting married. Of all things to book for our wedding day, the officiant was the last thing we even thought about (duh!) Amazingly, Sue was our number once choice, and somehow she was still available for our day! We did not want a religious ceremony, so we were left wondering how we could make our day special, unique, and tell our story. Sue was an angel - she gave us countless ideas for readings, ceremonies we could perform, and helped us generate the perfect ceremony - just for us. We ended up deciding to conduct a hand-fasting ceremony which is something we never heard of before - it ended up being our favorite part of the ceremony and our guests loved it too. I also LOVE all of the special meanings and symbolic elements she incorporated into our big day. We also got to keep a copy of our ceremony document, in the event we want to renew our vows sometime in the future. Thank you Sue!

    Reverend Sue Ellen performed a beautiful ceremony! Everybody was commenting on how beautiful the ceremony was officiated. Rev Sue was very thoughtful and helpful throughout the whole wedding process. She took the time to call us back promptly to answer any concerns we had. I would highly recommend Rev Sue Ellen Samuels!

    Thank You Rev. Sue!!

    If you are like me, you may not know exactly what to be looking for when deciding on an officiant for your wedding. I reached out to Rev. Sue based on reviews I saw on Wedding Wire, and I am so glad that I did! She was the first officiant that we met with, and we knew she would be the perfect person! Rev. Sue was super helpful, starting from the first meeting, and explained to us all of the elements of what should be included in our wedding ceremony. She provided us with a draft ceremony, and tons of examples of readings, vows, etc. to help us make our ceremony our own. Over the course of our wedding planning, we changed parts of our ceremony a few times and she was always super responsive and never took more than a day or two to respond, which is AMAZING when you are trying to coordinate so many vendors for your wedding day. Our ceremony was perfect, and we have received so many compliments from our friends and family that it was one of the nicest wedding ceremonies they have attended. Thank you so much Rev. Sue!

    Words cant express our happiness

    We got married 8/9/19 by Reverend Sue, and we cant express how happy with are! We hired Sue after meeting with her and discussing the type of ceremony we wanted. We wanted a handfasting ceremony, non-traditional vows, and a few readings that weren't necessarily religious in nature. Sue was on board for all of it, and we instantly felt a connection with her. She shared so many ideas with us, and let us guide how we wanted the ceremony. We chose a hand fasting we loved with 6 colored cords, 2 reading that spoke to us, and vows that weren't traditional, but were 100% us. She even went along with a little fun right at the start of the ceremony, and we recreated the wedding scene from Spaceballs, one of our favorite movies!

    It's been a month now, and we are still remembering the day and how amazing it was. The ceremony is our favorite part of the day, and we are still getting compliments from our guests about how they loved it, how original it was, and how it was definitely 'us.'

    Thank you Reverend Sue, for creating such a memorable and unique ceremony for us! We will remember the day forever.

    "We miss her!" I would definitely recommend.

    Rev. Sue Ellen was a joy to work with! Booking an officiant was one of those big ticket items we'd procrastinated, but once we met with Rev. Sue Ellen we knew immediately she was our choice. Not only did she ease our concerns about how to craft our ceremony, she also helped us tailor the ceremony to fit our personalities. The process was so simple! What I remember most - Seeing Rev. Sue Ellen on the day of our rehearsal (we hadn't seen her since our initial meeting 6+ months prior) and feeling so assured, so stable, and really happy to see her smiling face. We truly enjoyed working with her and when we look back on our wedding photos, and hear her voice in our videos, we miss her and truly look back on working with her with such warmth and gratitude. Our ceremony was beyond beautiful thanks to Rev. Sue Ellen!

    We can’t say enough good things about Rev Sue Ellen. She’s personable, insightful and accommodating. At the first meeting, she asked the right questions to figure out the type of ceremony we wanted, provided options for how to achieve that and offered helpful suggestions. The ceremony was absolutely perfect. We received so many compliments from our guests about the content of the ceremony as the words couldn’t have been any more appropriate or beautiful.     Rev. Sue Ellen was such a pleasure to work with. She is very easy going and funny, and she made our ceremony so special for us. So many of our guests commented on how wonderful she was, and how beautifully she did the ceremony. Her words are thoughtful, personal and heartwarming.

She responded to my emails very quickly, she very sweet and most accommodating to my needs. And I was needy! Lol! Rev. Sutter was our officiant and he was a perfect fit.     Our wedding planner recommended Rev Sue for our wedding and we are so glad she was part of our wedding! Sue stayed up late and took time to get to know us over the phone as we are on the west coast. When we visited Buffalo, she met with us again to iron out the details of the ceremony and also told us so many amazing/hilarious/interesting stories from weddings she had officiated.

    She spent time understanding our needs and provided suggestions to help customize our ceremony to be truly ours. She was very responsive throughout the process, fun to work with, and a calming force on our wedding day. We highly recommend Rev Sue to anyone!

    I was asked to officiate my cousin's wedding in a few months, and wanted more personal guidance/mentoring rather than getting ordained on a website. A friend of mine owns a successful event planning company and cheerfully referred me to Reverend Sue Samuels for consultation on the ordination process and writing the ceremony. Sue and I met in person to discuss the ceremony, and she was open to sharing her wisdom and knowledge on the process and responsibilties involved in officiating a wedding. Sue has a variety of experience and resources, and allowed me to explore options to tailor the ceremony to my family's needs, as they wanted a simple, non-religious ceremony. I was totally comfortable communicating my ideas and questions to her, and within a few days she sent me a rough draft of the ceremony. Sue also connected me with a local priest for an in-person ordination. Sue's professionalism is balanced with warmth, a sense of humor, and an overall down-to-earth vibe. I can confidently recommend working with Sue for your wedding!

    Simply cannot say enough about the magic Rev. Samuels brought to our wedding day! She spent time talking with us on the phone (we live in another state) to understand what our vision was for the ceremony and made thoughtful suggestions based on her years of experience. Her templates and options for ceremony content were just tremendous and helped us craft an experience that was deeply meaningful for us and beautiful for all to experience. An amazing experience we will cherish for a lifetime!

    After having our first choice move to another state, my wife and I turned to Weddingwire.com in search of someone willing to perform a same sex marriage. Rev. Sue Samuels and Rev. Mark Sutter were the 2nd interview we had and there was no need to meet with anyone else. Very professional from the start to finish! They certainly lifted a huge burden from our shoulders and made our day that much more special. If you are in search of someone who absolutely has your best interest at heart and holds no prejudice -- look no further!

    We got married a few months ago and couldn't have been happier with the way the ceremony turned out! I was planning from afar and Sue was very understanding and flexible with my schedule. She was great through email and so responsive. Sue made this part of our planning fun and stress free! She also had lots of suggestions and was genuinely interested in our story to make our ceremony unique to fit us. We are truly grateful and are still receiving compliments!

    Sue did our wedding in 2011. She was so great with everything, for the initial meeting all the way to the end. For my Wife and I a tradition church wedding wasn't something we wanted. Sue really helped us tailor our wedding to what we wanted and make it a unique experience that our friends are still talking about now.

    We can't even imagine our wedding without Rev Sue Samuels. She was so much fun to work with and really made our wedding truly special and unique. She added little touches to the ceremony so that everything reflected our personalities and our wedding theme. Her words were beautiful and we couldn't of asked for anyone better!     Rev. Sue Ellen Samuels did an amazing job officiating our wedding! She helped us through the whole process choosing what we wanted in our ceremony and was very helpful. She arrived the day of the wedding on time and ready to go! She made the day even better and more personal for us than a justice of the peace would have been.     Rev. Sue was great from start to finish!! She kept in constant contact from the day we first met until my wedding day. She made sure everything was on point and the ceremony flowed perfectly. She provided a ton of sample vows, ring exchanges, and readings, with many other suggested ceremony additives. I customized my ceremony with some added requests and Sue made sure it fit them all in. She reviewed everything I sent to her, she would review it, make any changes or suggestions and then send it back to me. Sue is amazing at making the bride/groom feel comfortable and at ease!!!

    Rev. Sue was amazing and we had a ceremony that was completed customized. She gave us tons of example vows, readings and ring exchanges and let us decide what we liked best. We even added the smashing of the glass at the end and she let me revise the language for that as much as I wanted. She also let us make changes even after the ceremony was supposed to be finalized.

    I really enjoyed working with her-- she's responsive, pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. At the rehearsal, she told me that if I needed anything on the morning of, to call her and she would pick it up on her way to the ceremony.

    A great officiant and one I would recommend to anyone looking to get married in the Buffalo area. Thanks Rev. Sue!

    Sue was the best! She put my mind at ease (which isn't easy for my type A personality). She worked with us through multiple drafts of the ceremony, gave great feedback, and was super helpful at the rehearsal. On the day of, she did great and we got a TON of compliments on our ceremony. She was also super patience when we had to start the wedding a half hour late, and I never heard a single gripe or complaint. You won't regret using her for your wedding.

    My husband and I had Reverend Mark Sutter for our June 2015 wedding and I must say he exceeded expectations. I was an extremely nervous bride being center of attention and he made sure my nerves were settled adding in humor to our ceremony as we wished. He kept very calm and collective and everything we requested for our ceremony was provided. There were suggestions given on what we could add to our ceremony and we took them. I would highly recommend him, he made me feel so much better on our day. All of our guests complimented the ceremony.

    Reverend Sue was the perfect pick for our officiant. We met with other officiants prior to meeting her but they just weren't quite right for us. When we met Reverend Sue, it felt like we instantly clicked and that she really understood us a couple and what we wanted for our wedding day. She was always available to answer questions and guide us through the ceremony planning process. I loved that we could edit the ceremony and really make it our own. I was obviously hoping guests would love the reception we had planned but I never expected to hear guests say things like..."best ceremony I've ever been to"..."'made me cry and I never cry". If you choose Reverend Sue, your wedding will leave people talking about more than just the food/drink but also your ceremony...and after all, that's what your wedding day is really all about.

    Sue was absolutely amazing! She really helped my husband and I decide the exact details for our ceremony. Since we did not get married in a church, Sue was able to make some parts of our ceremony tailored to the Catholic tradition, while keeping the ceremony itself under 25 minutes. It was the perfect length. She has a wealth of knowledge of all kinds of different readings couples can choose from, different ceremony traditions, and much more. We got so many compliments after the wedding on how lovely our ceremony was. Our best friends loved her so much that they are using her for their wedding ceremony this coming August!     I am a DJ and met Rev. Sue at a wedding I was playing. She was so in touch with the couple. The ceremony was wonderful. As I was getting engaged, I asked her for her card. Several months later, I called her and we began to plan our ceremony. We met with Rev. Sue and expressed our ideas. After just a few questions and comments, we had an amazing ceremony laid out. She again impressed me as to how in tune she was with us. The day came and I can 't say enough on how amazing our ceremony was. Many times, you don't remember that part, only the after party. Being a DJ, I have see countless wedding ceremonies. Many are just read and done the same old way. Rev. Sue believes in marriage and how important it is that the couple has a personal ceremony.     My husband and I had been working on finding a minister that would perform a handfasting that wouldn't scare our very Christian relatives. After our first minister fell through I found Rev. Sue's card on my desk while shuffling through some papers. I had no idea where it came from but I immediately emailed her to see if she was available. She met my now husband and I for coffee in what was the most pleasant meeting of a stranger ever. She was warm and welcoming and confident in her abilities. She offered exceptional suggestions, without ever being pushy or judging. I left that meeting feeling like it was the perfect match for us. Fun with a bit of traditional, just like us. She emailed us the next day. The email had tons of samples for readings and vows, and we were able to work with her on the entire ceremony, word for word, until we were completely satisfied. There were so many little touches in the ceremony that our guests have mentioned as incredibly moving. The wording of the handfasting, the rose ceremony, the wording of the ring exchange (which my best friend loved so much she is reusing in her wedding this weekend!), and even the suggestion of my husband's grandparents signing the marriage license. She knew how to make it both unique and memorable and keep everyone at ease with the non traditional parts.

    I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful ceremony, multi-faith or not.

    Our wedding day could not have happened without Rev. Sue. My husband is a United States Marine and we were planning our wedding in Rochester, NY from Hawaii. My husband and I really wanted our friend to marry us but it would have been his first time doing a wedding. Finding Rev. Sue was nothing short of a miracle. While she was already booked for our wedding day, she offered to plan and put together the ceremony AND drive down from Buffalo the night before to run our rehearsal. She helped us build a ceremony from the ground up and gave insight and suggestions along the way, while still allowing it to be "our" ceremony. During our rehearsal picnic (before the actual rehearsal) she took the time to pull us and our friend (the now Officiant) aside to be sure we were all comfortable and on the same page. Rev. Sue was professional, kind and very involved throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough about Rev. Sue and her obvious passion for what she does. I am so very grateful to have found Reverend Sue and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant.

    My husband & I enjoyed our experience working with Revered Sue Samuels so much! Before meeting with her, we were concerned that some things we had seen at other ceremonies, or our impression of "typical" ceremonies, weren't what we wanted & didn't make sense for our relationship/style. She was so helpful throughout the process, explaining all the ways we could personalize our ceremony. She provided so many choices to help us create our vows and all the parts of our ceremony, helping us make it our style. One of our favorite choices we made was to include handfasting, loved the symbolism of it, and we had our mothers be the specially chosen people to tie/untie the cords.     We are from Canada and so planning the wedding had its challenges. We were so grateful that we found Rev. Sue. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. Rev. Sue met with us and gave us all kinds of options. My husband & I wanted to write our entire ceremony. She then emailed us with several different suggestions for us to use as a guide or not. Everything went perfectly. Rev. Sue gave meaning to our words as she read them and everyone said it was the nicest ceremony they had ever heard. After we returned from our honeymoon we still hadn't received our wedding certificate. Rev Sue not only offered to phone for us but she also offered to go to the town clerks office where we had it issued if necessary. I believe that was way beyond what anyone would expect.     The time leading up to the ceremony, Reverend Sue Ellen Samuels was great at letting us know what was needed and how everything would happen.     Amazing!!! I can't say enough!!! We got to fully customize our ceremony even though we had no clue how to put one together! Sue was so helpful with helping us build our ceremony. But that's not all.... She organized our entire rehearsal. We had a huge (at times unruly) wedding party and she was beyond patient and kind. Very professional!     My husband and I are far from religious and Sue was more than willing to work with that and cut it all out of the "traditional" wedding ceremonies. She was always on time if not early to everything and responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had about the big day. During the ceremony she had a copy of our vows for us to read in her binder so that we could just read them from there and not have to worry about fumbling with any paper or trying to memorize them. She was very helpful and understanding about everything.

    Great reverend to have marry you, very accommodating. Married us twice, the first time in a small private ceremony ( to help speed along some immigrations issues), and the second time amongst all our family and friends. Also offered to help with sound system for the wedding ceremony, as our DJ was unable to access the ceremony area. Overall, very friendly, helpfull and a pleasure to be around.

    From our first meeting, Sue was phenomenal in bringing together our two different religions to form a perfectly harmonized and absolutely beautiful ceremony. She gave us all of the information we needed to start creating our own unique ceremony, and gave us lots of options and ideas that really helped tie it all together. We had so many compliments on the ceremony; all night long people were commenting how it was the perfect ceremony, and they had never seen one like it. On top of all of this, Sue ended up getting very sick a few days before the wedding. Like a solider fighting through, Sue did every thing in her power to ensure that she was at our wedding, and that it was perfect. Her amazing spirit and natural joy performing our ceremony was apparent to everyone, and made it an event to remember forever. We wouldn't have wanted anyone else up there with us on our wedding day.     Sue was great. We met with her almost a year in advance to go over the ceremony, and we opted for the handfasting and the rose ceremony with the mothers (note, you will need to buy supplies for any extra ceremonies). She was very responsive to my e-mails throughout the planning process and open to any ideas. For the rehearsal she ran it efficiently and she gave us some fun suggestions for the processional to lighten things up a bit. We had a great experience and we'd recommend Sue to any new brides-to-be in the Buffalo area!

    Reverend Sue Samuels really wallked us through the entire process and made sure that our ceremony- was ONE OF A KIND!! She is willing to help you make it your own and has great ideas! We were very pleased with everything Reverend Samuels helped us with and our guests absolutely loved the ceremony! She is very professional and organized! She is also very responsive and returns calls and emails within a timely manner. We cannot express enough- how much we loved working with her for our big day!

    My husband and i were recently wed by Reverand Sue Ellen Samuels! She is amazing! She is a pro at what she does! Every step of the way she has been very helpful!! She has soo many ceremonies to choose from!!! We chose a handfasting ceremony in which my husband and I were "bound" together and stated our intensions. We have had so many compliments on our ceremony!! I am so glad we found Reverand Sue and I hope you choose her as well!! She is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!!

    Rev Sue did an outstanding job. My partner and I flew in from Kansas City MO and she was very helpful in sending me information. Letting us know where to go for our license, she provided 2 witnesses for the cermony. She made it aq very special day for us.

    My husband and I knew we did not want a “traditional” wedding but one that honored our heritage, beliefs and our love. Rev. Sue was able to do all this and more! We were getting married out of town at my parents and all of our communication was either by email or phone. When we met we knew she was a perfect fit, she had designed a ceremony just for us that was more than what we dreamed. She created our Celtic wedding as if she had known us our whole lives, with personalized suggestions we had not even thought about. To us, the most important part of a wedding day is the ceremony itself, to express the love you share, Rev Sue captured the emotions and our beliefs we perfectly. Thank you!!

    Sue Ellen Samuels performed me and my husband's wedding ceremony, and words cannot describe how thankful I am that we chose her! We did not want a traditional ceremony, rather one that encompassed our idea of 'family unity'. Sue offered numerous suggestions that helped to make our ceremony both special and unique! Sue was patient, detail oriented, and understanding with regards to our needs and desires of the ceremony. Sue made sure that our wedding day was exactly what we were looking for! I could not imagine having anyone else perform the ceremony!! It was all I wanted and more!

    Twohearts was wonderful to work with! We had many ceremony options and they worked with us to make our ceremony special. We were able to make the ceremony unique to keep the traditions we wanted, and cut the traditions we didn't want. I would highly recommend their services.

    Someone I did not know very well recommended Rev. Samuels because of the comfort, trust, and overall good feeling they felt with her. That alone caused me to contact her. When we met for the first time, I definitely felt that she was relatable and very open to each individual couple's desires, but came with many wonderful ceremony ideas that we could connect with. We liked her ideas because they weren't typical, and the one we chose ended up being very meaningful to us. The ceremony was beautiful, and many of our guests couldn't stop talking about it.

    Sue was wonderful she was very organized and prompt. If I had any questions she emailed me right away. She had tons of ideas of how to make our ceremony personal. I was so happy how everything turned out she had such a big hand in making the ceremony everything I dreamed of.

    Rev Sue was absolutely awesome! We are a same sex couple that after being in a loving relationship for 20 years officially got married thanks to the recent NY changes in the law allowing gay couples the rights to marry. Rev Sue is a warm, loving, gentle person that assisted us. We truly have found a friend in her and do plan to keep in contact with her for many years to come.     Rev. Sue Samuels was the officiant at our wedding this June, and we could not have asked for anything better! She is very organized and knowledgeable. She helped us plan our ceremony to make it what we were looking for. She also offers a hand-tying ceremony which is beautiful. We had lots of compliments on ceremony, especially the hand-tying part. She was easy to communicate with and really made the whole process pleasant. I highly recommend Sue to others!

    Reverand Sue was awesome! I wasn't comfortable with a religious ceremony, so I was originally planning to go with a Justice of the Peace. He was quite cold and rude to me! Made me cry!!

    We found Reverand Sue TWO WEEKS before our July 4th wedding, after I decided I couldn't stand this guy! I thought for sure she would tell me she had her own plans for the holiday & I had waited too long. But when I explained my situation, she actually rearranged her schedule to officiate our wedding! With such short notice & on a holiday!! She literally saved the day!!!!

    Beyond her willingness & availability, she was GREAT! She really understood what we wanted, a small, personalized, intimate, outdoor ceremony. She had great ideas for how to make our religious families comfortable at our non-religious ceremony! She was so easy going and comfortable to be around! Love her!

    Reverend Sue was great! She really helped out with the ceremony, since I did not have a wedding planner and was a little clueless about how things go. She even helped one of my guests who had to use bathroom navigate through a sea of people from another event at the banquet hall so she would not miss the ceremony. I would definately recommend using her for your wedding!

    Our ceremony stood out because of the different touches Rev Sue provided us. We had a sand ceremony with our children, and gave roses to eachother, which our mothers received after. Everyone commented on our ceremony!

    Reverend Mark helped make our wedding very special. He was easy to communicate with and was open to making our wedding ceremony as we wanted it. I wrote our vows and he had them printed out and in a book so he would get them perfect. He was very professional and extremely friendly, making our wedding day comfortable and perfect. He arrived in plenty of time before the service. I had previously spoken to Rev. Sue and she arranged everything for us as she had another engagement to attend that day. I would definately recommend !!!

    Sue Ellen Samuels was just a dream to work with for our wedding! We had some ideas of what we wanted and did not want and she guided us through the process of writing our vows in a thoughtful and reflective way.
