Mercedes provided such a wonderful service for our wedding—truly one of a kind. From the very beginning, she took the time to meet with us and genuinely get to know my husband and me. She asked thoughtful, detailed questions about our lives, our journey together, and what truly mattered to us.

The Perfect Wedding Ceremony
Rev. Mercy provided us with a fantastic wedding experience. She made us feel comfortable right from our first meeting, and really took the time to ask great questions and get to know us before drafting the ceremony. Since many of our relatives speak Spanish, it was essential for us to find an officiant who was bilingual and sensitive to the cultural expectations of traditional Latino wedding customs.

Great officiant
My husband and I were looking for a bilingual officiant that would be able to tell our love story in both Spanish and English. Lucky for us we connected with Mercy and she was quick to respond and answer all our questions. Amazing experience
Reverend Mercy did an incredible job officiating my wedding. She should charge more!
Finding Rev Mercy was such an incredible amount of luck. We interviewed a few officiants that were good but I knew when I had my first call with her, she was going to be perfect. She was so down to earth, flexible and so knowledgeable when we weren’t sure what to do for a specific detail. She guided us, but also let us have the freedom to make the ceremony exactly what we wanted. She helped us incorporate our Filipino and Latin cultures throughout the ceremony, combining our family traditions into something so beautiful. She truly made our ceremony, even knowing the right moments when to step out of the alter to make sure our photographer captured special moments with just us. Beautiful ceremony crafted by an incredible wedding officiant
When looking for a wedding officiant, we were looking for someone who would handle our story with love and trust and express the way that Joel and I love each other to our loved ones and friends. In Reverand Mercy, we found that and so much more. In the first meeting we had to introduce ourselves and share our stories, Rev. Mercy listened to our stories and treated it with care, asking questions to get a better understanding of who we are and incorporated that into our ceremony and I knew from then on that we would be handled with care and love. I remember reading the first draft that Mercy typed out and feeling like our story was incredibly encapsulated in those drafts. Moving onto the wedding rehearsal and ceremony, I had no doubts that I would be in good hands. If you have the opportunity to have Reverand Mercy officiate your ceremony, I would not hesitate. You will have your story so beautifully told and the ceremony will be so personable and magnificent that you may cry tears of joy while it happens, like we did. Our wedding ceremony was absolutely perfect thanks to Mercy! From our initial consultation to the day of the wedding, Mercy was very nice and attentive to our needs. She kept communication with us throughout the entire planning process and made sure we were on time with getting the legal process taken care of. She guided us every step of the way, which we appreciated because wedding planning is stressful and there are many little things that can be easily forgotten or missed, but she had our back lol. She was so organized and took the time to truly understand our love story. We wanted a bilingual ceremony and she was able to craft a GREAT ceremony speech. Unfortunately, our wedding day landed in the middle of a heatwave so we had to make a lot of edits so that our guests wouldn’t be sitting in the sun for too long and she was open to making any changes needed. Despite having to shorten the ceremony speech, all of our guests raved about how beautiful and special the ceremony was. She was also able to make our guests laugh a few times. We met with other officiants and felt like she was the best fit for us and truly cared about making our day special. One of the signs that a vendor truly cares about you is when they ask you about your love story so they can truly tailor their services around what fits best for you. She was extremely easy to communicate with from the very beginning and was always available to answer any questions and offer help. Unique and fun!
My wife found Rev Mercy at a bridal convention and she came home super excited to have discovered an officiant who was open to a multicultural celebration. Rev Mercy was very communicative and wrote our whole ceremony uniquely for us. She even offered help and guidance throughout the vow process. Reverend Mercy was absolutely incredible. She helped to make my husband and I’s wedding the best day of our lives. From the beginning of the ceremony planning process to the end, she made sure every detail was covered, and made us feel comfortable and at ease along the way. She was always easily accessible via email, text and zoom. She helped us each edit our vows, and provided suggestions to make them more clear and concise. She was always onboard to include whatever we wanted in the ceremony to make our wedding the most “us”. She is bilingual, so she did a portion of our ceremony in Spanish for some of our guests, and she also helped us with a unique unity ritual where we took tequila shots at the altar! She also coordinated her ceremonial garbs to match the colors of our wedding, above and beyond!
In addition to working with her on our wedding ceremony, we also participated in her milestone preparation sessions, which were similar to couples counseling. These were incredibly helpful, and helped my husband and I to align on things that were important to the both of us moving forward in marriage. We truly believed these session helped bring us closer together as a couple and better prepared us for marriage.

I would definitely recommend Rev. Mercy as a wedding officiant. She was accommodating from having zoom meeting to the wedding day, the translation of what we wanted on our wedding day really came through. She had no problem going up into Angeles national forest to hold the ceremony, as well as working with the fact that we had a 30 min delay. Before even deciding to be get married, my wife and I knew that choosing an officiant would be a stressful decision, especially since we were raised in different religious backgrounds, cultures, and in different languages. We wanted to find an officiant that could blend our cultures and languages in a manner that would honor both of our backgrounds, but focus on our love story and not show preference to one religion or background over another. Then we found Reverend Mercy who quite literally was the answer to our prayers! My Husband and I are so happy we hired Rev. Mercy to be our officiant. We had a great first meeting with her where we described our love story to her. A perfectly personalized experience
Rev. Mercy is an absolute treasure and we are so thankful we found her for our wedding. We did not really have a backup plan once booking a courthouse became a challenge due to COVID and in preparing to figure out a backyard wedding instead, the first thing we prioritized was finding an officiant that could really personalize and help co-design our ceremony. Mercy designed a beautiful fully bilingual Spanish/English ceremony. She gave us the opportunity to give input beforehand. A lot of guests told us that it was one of the best ceremonies they’ve attended. It did go slightly longer than expected on the day of, but not an issue because we loved it so much!

Rev Mercy will make your wedding unforgettable!
We are so happy that we went with Rev. Mercy for our wedding. Several guests including people in their 60s and 70s told us that it was hands down the best ceremony that they had ever been to. Prior to talking to Rev. Mercy we were a bit anxious about hiring an officiant since most of our friends had used other friends. However, from the first time we spoke to Rev. Mercy we felt really excited to be working with a professional -- she is so knowledgable about so many spiritualities and religions. From our first conversation she had truly great ideas about how to incorporate our different spiritual practices (Jewish and Pagan), and came with context and historical knowledge that made the traditions feel meaningful rather than rote. As a queer couple, we also appreciated that Rev Mercy always used gender inclusive language and was excited about discussing which traditions we'd want to use, and other ones we'd want to update to make them feel more relevant to us. Rev Mercy took a lot of time to get to know us and hear our love story, and her first draft of our ceremony was so amazing that we only did a few slight edits to get to the final version. She's also a wonderful speaker, and made the ceremony feel like time stopped both for us and the guests. It feels like Rev Mercy was meant to do this kind of work - she was so thoughtful with how the ceremony was put together it was truly one of a kind. Thank you so much, Rev Mercy! Meeting Mercy was like meeting a new friend. She got to know us as a couple on a zoom call and from there I knew that we had met the perfect officiant! She listened and took notes on our story. She's a great listener and had wrote down so many meaningful details from our story. When she sent our wedding ceremony over google live docs...I was in tears! It was super funny, had all of the right jokes and moments from our relationship and was super meaningful. I feel so lucky to have met Rev. My husband and I were beyond pleased with Mercedes. She was amazing from the first time we had our video chat due to Covid. She walked us through the process got to know our background and helped us get an idea of what we wanted for our ceremony. When we got our first draft I wasn’t overwhelmed because she had done such a great job and laying out many options for us as to what we wanted and how we wanted our ceremony to flow. Reverend Mercy came through with a beautiful and touching ceremony despite the challenges of the Covid-19 crisis. We had planned on a big “normal” wedding when Covid-19 suddenly disrupted our plans (and alas, everyone’s lives). Nevertheless, Rev. Mercedes was so amazing! My two favorite parts of wedding planning were cake tasting and meeting with her in advance of our wedding. During that meeting she asked about our relationship, listened to our stories and asked about how much religion or spirituality we wanted incorporated into the ceremony. The ceremony was perfect and was very personal. My mom who has a hard time hearing has told me multiple times how clearly she could understand everything said in both languages. She has a calming presence and we immediately felt comfortable with her. She got to know our quirks, our dreams and our philosophies, and she beautifully articulated the essence of mine and my partners relationship throughout the ceremony. Rev Mercy was so nice and kind. We got together with her to know each other so she can write a beautiful speech for us during the wedding. Everything was great without a hitch. I 100% recommend anyone to have her as your Rev. My wife’s and my family both loved everything of the ceremony and we couldn’t be happier with how great everything turned out. She also translated for my side of the family in Spanish so she didn’t leave anyone out during the ceremony.

Bilingual Ceremony
Mercy was awesome! We met with her and had a good experience getting to know her and sharing our love story with her. When we got our ceremony to review we both sobbed like babies it was so beautiful and everything we wanted for our bilingual ceremony.

Perfect Ceremony
Reverend Mercy delivered the wedding ceremony of our dreams. It was everything we hoped for in a ceremony and she helped prepare us for that moment with the rehearsal and with meeting her and emailing her. From the moment we met her we knew she was the officiant for us. We signed up for a spiritual cpu sowing session and she helped us discuss some big topics prior to our wedding which wasn’t really wonderful as my partner and I shared some of our excitement and concern. P Not only is she interfaith and respectful of all religions but we were grateful that she was inclusive of all types of ceremonies and couples. She helped us feel comfortable and helped us make the script for the ceremony perfect. When we sought how to incorporate the right rituals for our ceremony she recommended the lasso ceremony which ended up being perfect and a way to include our family. She was very communicative and helped us feel at ease. Thank you Reverend Mercy. Our day was so special and you helped the ceremony be the highlight of the day as we wanted! The awesome reception was a bonus!!

excellent, personalized and meaningful ceremony
We couldn't be happier that we chose Rev Mercedes. She worked with us to make a meaningful ceremony that had many personal touches. She is an excellent public speaker. She can evoke a wide-range of emotions, including humor that are so important for a meaningful ceremony. She did a bilingual English and Spanish ceremony for us that had traditional and contemporary pieces. Amazing working with Rev Mercy!
We couldn’t have picked a better person to marry us! Rev Mercy was excellent. We loved that she was very professional and organized. But most importantly, I think we liked most was that she listened to what we wanted. Wedding day she delivered a beautiful ceremony. We highly recommend her! Plus she speaks Spanish. It was wonderful because my entire family was able to enjoy the wedding. You won’t be able to find a better bilingual officiate than Rev Mercy!

A wonderful experience
Choosing our officiant was one of the last tasks we completed, just because we wanted to make sure we found the right person. When we found Mercy’s profile, we knew she was the one to help make our ceremony perfect. She was very quick to respond to any of our questions and help us understand the process. Once we finally met with Mercy, we realized that she makes each and every one of her ceremonies unique and true to each couple. She took the time to get to know us and understand our story. The end product was amazing. We laughed, we cried, we knew that she did everything possible to find the right words to make our day special. The added fact that she was able to incorporate our Catholic traditions to then ceremony was a huge bonus.
All in all, it was an enormous pleasure to have Mercy at our wedding. She has a passion for this, and it’s clearly noticeable in her work.

Rev Mercy exceeded all expectations. After the wedding so many of the guests complemented the ceremony! I was so impressed by amount of time she spent getting to know us when we met so that she could write something for us, including paying homage to specific loved ones who have past. She is a kind and special soul who performs these ceremonies with love and attention to detail. We were also grateful that she could perform the ceremony in Spanish. She is wonderful, and one of my couple friends has already hired her for their wedding.

Unforgetable!...Wedding of the year!!
She went above and beyond our expectations. Our catholic symbolic wedding has been the talk of the year with our friends and family. Actually, the security officer also took the time to compliment our wedding and mentioned that of all weddings he's been ours also got him a bit emotional. There was laughter, tears and lots of love radiating the hall. Our guests thought she was our mutual friend because it just seemed so personal. She is not there to only do business with you but to really share this special moment and make it unforgettable for everyone. Mercy takes the time to meet you and learn your love story so she can then surprise you with a beautiful ceremony. I don't see myself getting married again because I just married my soulmate, but I'd choose her again a million times again. She definitely holds a special place in our hearts.

Amazing officiant!!
Rev. Mercy was absolutely amazing! We were extremely lucky to have found her for our wedding. She was always quick to respond to any of my emails, was extremely flexible on the location and wrote such a beautiful bilingual ceremony. Not a dry eye in sight! Mercy is wonderful
Mercy did an amazing job as our officiant. We are incredibly happy we had her perform our wedding. She started communication with us via email a month or so before the wedding and, once the day got closer, It was very easy to set up a time to talk with her over Skype. She was a pleasure to communicate with, and she was full of great ideas that added to our ceremony.
We had a very small beach wedding in Malibu. She performed a beautiful ceremony for us, and even with the sea’s wind, my family was able to hear her!
After the ceremony, she was very friendly to our family and waited around with them for all of the photos to be taken.
Mercy is a very kind, warm, and lovey person. I couldn’t imagine any other person performing our ceremony as well as she has.

Where do I even begin? Rev. Mercedes Ibarra was everything I could have hoped for! She took the time to get to know our life story and wrote the most beautiful vow renewal ceremony for us! She captured our love and shared it with our family and friends. She was genuine and sincere. She made us feel as if it was a close family friend performing our ceremony. After the ceremony, she kindly went out and got to meet my family while we were taking pictures. It was beautiful!!! If you want an unforgettable experience, pick Rev. Mercedes Ibarra!!!! After our first meeting, we knew that we wanted Rev. Mercy to marry us. She gave off this aura that we were in good hands and could trust her with this sacred task. It honestly felt like she was an old friend and we were catching her up on our love story. As a couple in our early 30s who have known each other since middle school, we knew we wanted a ceremony that reflected our journey to “I do”. Rev. Mercy wrote and captured exactly that. An added bonus of being able to have Rev. Mercy perform your ceremony is that she is also bilingual. My now Husband’s side of the family speaks English but prefers Spanish and Rev. Mercy was able to weave English and Spanish fluidly without anyone feeling lost.
From our initial meeting to the final draft of the ceremony, she helped us feel calm and confident that the ceremony would be perfect. Any help we needed on vows or questions we had she was always there. Look no further, Rev. Mercy is it!

I managed to plan my wedding in 5 months, and I feel so lucky to have found such a helpful and professional wedding officiant, who is bilingual and met all my needs. Rev. Mercy was our officiant for our wedding and she wrote our ceremony so beautifully! Words cannot express how happy we are! It was perfect. We had asked her to do some parts in Spanish and it translated so well. My family was very impressed! We cannot thank her enough for everything. We are forever grateful and thankful to have found Rev. Mercy!! Her presence, energy and professionalism made us feel so comfortable and confident right from the start! We waited til about a month before the wedding to start searching for an officiant and met with Mercy at a nearby cafe for a cup of coffee. She really wanted to get to know who we were as a couple and spent a couple hours with us. We really appreciated her time and genuine interest in making our ceremony uniquely ours. We wanted to have a bilingual ceremony but weren’t sure how to go about it. Mercy was a huge help and had great ideas of how to marry the two languages and keep our guests engaged and captivated. In addition I had some ideas for poems and vows and she beautifully incorporated them into the ceremony. I wish I could post a video on here for other couples to see how magical everything was. Working with Mercy was so smooth and flawless. It was so nice to not have to stress over additional details and be able to feel 100% confident that the ceremony would be perfect. It’s now been a few months and we’ve had several guests share with us that our ceremony was the best they’ve ever witnessed! We’re beyond touched and truly have Rev. Mercy to thank for her attentiveness, dedication and passion.

Rev. Mercy was a godsend, and you can take that figuratively or literally. Rev. Mercy showed broad ecumenical knowledge, infectious serenity, down-to-earth good humor and patience. And those don't even rank among the most impressive qualities she exhibited in bringing the right --right for us -- tone, feel, spirit to our wedding. She listens. She let us babble away over several phone calls and somehow designed a coherent, unifying and beautiful service. Which was no easy feat. My now wife and I have undefined, unsure views on religion; we have a humanist bent and don't subscribe to any specific church. Rev. Mercy listened to us as we talked over and mulled what would be the best expression of us as spiritual beings. She did a masterful job of letting us come to our own conclusions, giving us a gentle nudge from time-to-time with beautifully timed insight. One telling detail of Rev. Mercy's lack of ego and generosity of spirit is that she asked us if we wanted her to wear her robes or just dress like another guest. She always put us first. We even turned to her when at one point when we felt the pressures of planning the day getting to us. She helped us catch our breath. And on the day of the wedding, I was also most impressed with how she made everyone at the ceremony feel welcomed and included. We had guests at our wedding that ranged from avowed atheists to very conservative, born-again Christians. Everyone enjoyed the ceremony, everyone was made to feel welcomed, respected and part of the new family that was born on that day. As if that isn't enough, her language skills were invaluable. She beautifully weaved English and Spanish together for the ceremony. My family members are Hispanics from the Miami area, some of whom only speak Spanish, while my wife's family are strictly English speakers from Ohio and West Virginia. The ceremony was a big hit with everyone. We hope she will always be a part of our lives. I should note she flew in to perform the ceremony.
