Best day, best officiant EVER ❤️
By FAR the best part of my wedding day was Rev Jim. Our ceremony was so personal, you would have thought he had known us our entire lives. The process leading up to our wedding was easy and enjoyable. It was important to me to have a ceremony that included aspects of faith but wasn’t too traditional and he was absolutely perfect. He was kind and considerate when navigating family dynamics. He was supportive and SO helpful to us as a couple during what can be such a stressful time. Everyone at our wedding still talks about how great our ceremony was and I would not have changed a thing. We loved working with him and I would recommend him a million times over! Genuinely there are a million things that go wrong on your wedding day, but he will not disappoint! -

Wonderful experience!
We were married at the Beacon Hermitage with a small party, Jim was well prepared, and conducted the ceremony with elegance, dignity and humor.
The grounds are quite lovely, and the day was a great success.
I would 100% recommend reverent Jim Rooney for your wedding needs.

Couldn’t have asked for a better officiant!
Jim was a true gift to our wedding experience. We reached out to him last-minute, and despite our disorganized schedule and less-than-timely responses, he remained incredibly patient, flexible, and kind.
We didn’t finalize our ceremony until the morning before the wedding, and even then, Jim worked with us to ensure that it felt intentional, personal, and meaningful. He reminded us of what the day was really about - which was so grounding when everything else felt chaotic.
The day of, things were delayed, plans changed on a dime, and the ceremony location had to be moved last-minute due to weather. Jim adapted with warmth and humor, even incorporating the weather into the moment in a funny and thoughtful way. He brought a quiet steadiness and genuine spirit to the whole experience - and the mingling moment was great (trust Jim!)! We are both Catholic and had been dealing with push-back from family for not getting married in the church, but everyone absolutely loved the ceremony.
Jim was a grounding presence, and a joy to work with and to know. We feel incredibly lucky to have had him marry us.
Also, if you have the chance to visit the Beacon Hermitage, definitely do it! It’s a beautiful and peaceful space, and it was such a gift to sit down and talk with Jim there.

Unforgettable from start to finish
Rev. Jim Rooney officiated our March 2025 wedding. He put our minds at ease from our very first meeting with him at his beautiful home in Beacon (I highly recommend visiting if you have the option.) He truly took the time to get to know us on a personal level and we loved all of our time with him. Multiple people came up to us after the ceremony to tell us that they loved it. We love Jim and highly recommend him! -

We are so thrilled that we chose Father Jim to officiate our wedding. He really took the time to get to know us and our story by inviting us into his home, providing us with questionnaires, and meeting via FaceTime. This allowed him to create an extremely personalized and genuine ceremony for us, which is everything that we could have hoped for. Jim was incredibly responsive and flexible throughout the entire process & we SO appreciate him driving up for our ceremony. Right after the ceremony, during cocktail hour, our guests could not stop raving about our ceremony & how much they loved Father Jim. They said it was the most unique and special ceremony they have experienced. We could not be more grateful for the service Jim provided and will hold him very near and dear to our hearts forever. -

A Ceremony to Remember
My husband and I got married May 25, 2024 at The Garrison. Reverend Jim Rooney came highly recommended from our wedding coordinator and I can understand why. He took great care in getting to know my husband and I, our story and has an impeccable memory. He was everything we wanted in an officiant and more. Our ceremony was so special, intimate and tailored to us as a couple. I can honestly say our ceremony was one of the favorite parts of our wedding. Rev. Rooney made the ceremony so easy for us to get through, providing any reading and our vows printed out. I highly recommend doing “the mingling.” It gave my husband and I a second to really take in each other and the moment, and provided a more causal intimate feeling. So many of our guests complimented the ceremony and Rev. Rooney, swooning that it was so unique and special, they have never been to a wedding like ours. Our guests felt like they were a part of our ceremony. I would recommend Reverend Jim Rooney as an officiant over and over again. Thank you for making our day so special! -

Rob and I acquired the services of Rev. Jim Rooney for our very small, intimate wedding in April. Rev. Jim took the time to co-ordinate with our busy schedules to "facetime" with us and plan what Rob and I hoped would be a ceremony to simply reflect our views on what our marriage would mean to both of us. Rev. Jim's "pre-wedding assignment" was enlightening for Rob and myself. Through self-examination, we discovered how much in love we are and how devoted we are to one another. This made our ceremony on our wedding day, very emotional. Rev. Jim delivered with seriousness and humor exactly where needed. It was personalized and unique. It was the right touch on Rev. Jim's part to have included the passing of our wedding bands among all, family and friends before Rob and I exchanged them. Each person gave a brief blessing or message before passing it on to the next. We didn't expect this, but I'm so glad he did it! What a precious memory I will treasure! Rob and I received many compliments on our wedding ceremony from everyone. It was everything I had hoped for. Thank you Rev. Jim!!! -

Absolute perfection

Rev Rooney came highly recommended to us by our venue and he lived up to every expectation and then some! My husband and I met with Rev Jim at his lovely home where we got to discuss our love story and also receive incredible advice from him on marriage and our wedding day. The process of organizing the ceremony layout was very easy and he had great choices of readings, vows, you name it.
Our guests are still taking about our ceremony and how special it was. The uniqueness Rev Rooney brought to the wedding ceremony made it so memorable for everyone, especially us! The ceremony is the most important part of any wedding and it could not have been more perfect. If you are looking to have a memorable and unique ceremony that has people laughing, crying, and everything in between, Rev Rooney is your guy! My fiancé and I had the best experience with Rev. Rooney. From our first meeting and phone call, he made us feel like we were the only couple and asked so many thoughtful questions to really build a connection. His positive energy and reassurance during our phone calls really helped calm us throughout the wedding planning process. The actual ceremony itself was nothing we’d ever seen/experienced! Our guests got to take a moment to say hello, feel comfortable and feel like they are really part of our special ceremony. During the ceremony, Jim worked with us to incorporate a very special cultural piece from India and he did it beautifully. Our families and friends said it was a ceremony they would never forget! Our wedding ceremony felt like everyone involved was part of our special day as we got to share some bits of our love story and answer heartfelt questions. Reverend Jim is truly the best we could have asked for! Our wedding was in New Rochelle close to where I grew up, but I planned it from where I live now in Milwaukee. Rev Jim was super flexible with Zoom/Skype video chat meetings because of this, and I even had the opportunity to visit him for an in-person meeting at his home when I was in town at the Beacon Hermitage. I must say this is a beautiful, stunning, and artsy property if you get the chance to visit! We worked with Rev Jim for a couple of years leading up to the wedding where he provided us a questionnaire for my husband and I to fill out separately with some personal questions about our relationship so he could learn more about us as a couple. I highly recommend taking this seriously as he was able to truly personalize and incorporate our love into the ceremony this way! Rev Jim also provided a document listing the different types of ceremonies to select what suits us best. We aren’t the most religious, but wanted a little mention of god’s blessing to appease our family, and he nailed that. He was also very accommodating with having a couple of family members conduct a reading, as well as allow time for my step-sister (who is a musical theatre professional) to sing at the beginning of our ceremony. We also decided for our unity ceremony to do the handfasting which truly “tied the knot”! During our reception, we received so many compliments from our guests on his ceremony, and even had some friends ask if they can use him for their wedding! Jim was incredible!
Jim made our wedding ceremony incredibly personalized and special. Both of us had been raised Catholic and wanted to honor or family’s traditions with a Catholic inspired ceremony. He was extremely charismatic, funny, and sentimental. Almost everyone at our wedding was moved to tears! Many of our guests told us it was the most moving and beautiful ceremony they had attended. Courtney Sent on 09/14/2022A Beautiful & Entertaining Ceremony Seeped in Love and a Dash of Spirituality
My fiancée and I (both raised Catholic) went back and forth, and back, and forth, about getting married in church (mainly me rationalizing that I always thought I’d get married in a church/cathedral). We ended up choosing a venue (The Garrison) which was far from any parish we knew, and not wanting to deal with the additional coordination of church, we opted for an officiant. Jim (or as we affectionately called him, Reverend Rooney), was recommended by our venue.
That said, the glowing reviews I read of Jim spoke for themselves. I reached out right away, a year in advance of the wedding - in fact, Jim was the first “vendor” we booked aside from the venue. He couldn’t have been nicer, and even from a phone call, was able to assuage my anxiety about going with a non-church ceremony (“Catholic Guilt” is oh-so-real and pervasive!). We went to meet Jim at his home, which is also the Beacon Hermitage, about 4-5 months or so before our wedding. At that time, my fiancée and I were in the thick of wedding planning (which we planned ourselves) and really in need of some unaffiliated help/support, a reminder of why we were going forward with this huge undertaking. We were dealing with the stress of a delicate family situation (my fiancée’s parents are non-amicably divorced and it creates a lot of tension for my fiancée and his siblings).
Meeting with Jim was the highlight of the wedding planning process. As a “Covid bride,” I rarely got to meet anyone in person or make any decisions based on physical/tangible situations. Jim was such a welcome relief - he is warm, welcoming, hospitable, and VERY personable and funny!! We immediately felt happy and relieved in his presence. It was almost like a mix of pre-marital counseling, non-religious pre-Cana, and meeting with a fun, distant relative all in one. He assigned us some “homework” before our next meeting (June; we were married in August) - questions about how we met and the dreams we have for our relationship. It was probably one of few wedding things my fiancée was very engaged in doing, and we both enjoyed the exercise. It’s a really good experience to be asked to think about your relationship objectively.
Cut forward to the wedding ceremony - my fiancée and I are both very gregarious with very enigmatic personalities, but Jim was the star of the show. He was able to warm the crowd, spark joy, make everyone laugh, and most importantly, told a warm, thoughtful, and engaging story of our love. You can pick from a broad range of ceremonial elements, gestures, readings etc from Jim’s library - he has content ranging from non-denominational poetry and elements to spiritual and religious elements - there is something for everyone. The way he conducted the ceremony was entertaining and beautiful, and it moved even the heavily religious/traditional family members. People are still talking about what a fun experience the ceremony was, and how rare it is to have an officiant with similar personality traits to the couple.
We thoroughly enjoyed “working” with Jim, though it doesn’t feel like a working relationship whatsoever. We hope to continue to connect with Jim as our relationship and family grows, and we look forward to celebrating more milestones together. Thank you for your time, warmth, and humor, Jim! -

We are feeling so blessed that we discovered Jim and booked him as our wedding officiant. We had a big question mark on our checklist when it came to an officiant. Jim practically came to us, as my husband-to-be discovered the Beacon Hermitage and upon further research, discovered that Jim was available for officiant services! Our wedding was an adventure of a weekend, but Jim stood fast by our sides. During our vows it was pouring rain but Jim held our umbrella and kept us calm and at times it felt like no one else was there but the three of us; he was so focused on us and our ceremony and union. We wouldn’t change a thing and hope that we stay in touch with Jim for many years to come. -

We loved our experience working with Jim. From taking our personal story into account to craft the ceremony and suggesting lovely additions like a “mingle” and handfasting, we can’t say more good things about Jim. All our friends and family raves about it being the best ceremony they’ve attended, as it was very authentically us. We’d also highly recommend the mingle, my dad commented that it was a great pressure reliever right after walking me down the aisle, and added a great “community” feel to our wedding. Jim also went above and beyond post wedding day - he sent us some great shots of our reception and also went down to town hall himself when they misplaced our license. -

Incredible
We were so very lucky to have found Rev. Jim Rooney, out of the blue, to officiate our wedding. Prior to and during our celebrations, Jim was professional, kind and understanding. When we postponed multiple times during the pandemic, he did what he could to accommodate us, which we greatly appreciated.
Over the years, we had the opportunity to get to know him on a more personal level. For this reason, when our guests mentioned how warm and welcoming he made everyone feel through the duration of the ceremony, we were happy we could absolutely authenticate those feelings.

Wedding Officiant / Priest
Jim made our wedding unique, intimate and heartfelt (ask about the mingling and wine ceremony options!) People are still talking about how different and original and beautiful the ceremony was. He really took the time to get to know us and tell our story beautifully on our wedding day. He also was great in his ability to get us to give from the heart responses about each other thanks to his prompts and how he structured the ceremony. We had an exceptionally great experience with Rev. Jim. we met with him in person at his beautiful home and also over Zoom (we had a couple extra years to get to know each other thanks to Covid). He put in the effort to know and understand us so that our ceremony would be very personal. He offered about a million different options for how it would go - from religious thematics, to wine ceremonies, to varying options for the ring exchange, etc. We were able to fully customize the ceremony - even selecting what he wore! Our favorite part though is that he is a warm and loving individual who was able to center us and ground us even when that craziness of the wedding planning/postponing really kept us on our toes. He is a genuine soul whose perspective on life and love was a welcome reminder of why we were there in the first place. He made our day very special, and we would recommend him without reservation. -

Jim married us twice (thanks to covid!) and now means a great deal to our family. He is truly thoughtful, kind, lighthearted, and sincere.
Our first wedding was tiny and in our backyard - Jim made the day. The next year, when we renewed our vows, was just as incredible. Guests are still talking about him - weeks later! People who didn't even attend our wedding heard about "that wonderful ceremony." Many said it was the best they had ever witnessed.
He takes a refreshing approach to ceremonies - encouraging guests to meet each other, listening when you want to change up the rules, and pouring a ton of love into the whole process. Thank you Jim!! -

A Ceremony to remember
I found Jim and his high ratings on wedding wire and the knot. After talking to Jim in our first conversation I realized how seriously he takes the role of officiating weddings. Jim is the type of officiant who takes great pride in his work and truly cares about creating a memorable moment for the couples he marries. Jim shared our love story with such passion and detail our guests were left in awe. Jim made my husband and I feel so calm and confident in front of our large 200 person wedding. If your looking for someone to provide a sentimental, beautiful and personable ceremony at your wedding Jim is the person to hire!!! Jim was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately we had to reschedule our wedding 3 times but Jim was always there for us. Multiple FaceTimes and texts together we finally nailed down a date for our wedding this June. Jim was super attentive and always wanted to learn more about us. On the day of our wedding, he completely blew our expectations out of the water. He knew how to warm up our guests and make everyone feel welcomed. We received so many compliments on the ceremony and so many questions about how we found him. We could not be happier with choosing Jim to be our officiant. -

Absolutely Brilliant
You can believe all the great reviews you read on here… Jim is incredible. Everyone was talking about how fabulous the ceremony was and they’re still asking us where in the world we found someone so great. He did such a fantastic job weaving heartfelt expressions of our love with hilarious stories about the trials and tribulations of getting to this point. He had everyone laughing hysterically, but also focused on the point of the day.
I definitely get stage fright, but Jim built an environment where I was comfortable standing in front of a crowd. I really recommend taking him up on the mingling at the beginning of the ceremony to take a couple of minutes to just breathe and appreciate the moment.
He was so understanding through the pandemic, and allowed us to change our date easily, which saved us so much trouble.
If you are at all considering using Reverend Jim for your wedding, DO IT! His ceremony was such a highlight of the day. -

Every single review you read here is true. Jim is incredible. My husband and I used him to officiate our wedding this past weekend (11/21/20). We wanted someone that would put together a ceremony that felt like us, and boy did he deliver. We laughed. We cried. It was so personal, and he was able to tell our story in a way that really engaged our guests as well. He even did a wonderful job working with my parents who are deaf and the interpreter we hired and incorporating them into the ceremony. We were able to select our readings and rows and ring exchanges. All of our guests including the many that participated virtually commented specifically about how great he was, and that they wanted to do their own weddings over again with him. I cannot say enough about him. He went above and beyond to make our day perfect and special. -

An absolute dream!
From the first meeting with Reverend Jim, we knew that he was an exceptional person. He took time to get to know us, both as a couple and as individuals, and made us feel seen, welcomed and excited for our wedding. When your officiant delivers the most perfect ceremony and your friends in attendance are surprised to learn that you have only known your officiant for a month before your wedding day, you know you found the right person!
We found Jim through our photographer, who recommended him to us as put together our intimate elopement ceremony in the Hudson Valley, after our original wedding day was impacted by COVID-19. From our first call with Jim, we knew that we didn't even need to talk to anyone else, we needed Jim to do our ceremony. From our very first call, Jim really took the time to get to know us as a couple - to hear our story, what brought us together, and what marriage means to us. He was easygoing, not pushy, and I felt like he genuinely cared. We booked him shortly after our first call.
Jim made the entire process for our elopement so seamless, he even offered his beautiful garden for our ceremony, should our original site be impacted by COVID closures. As we were putting together our elopement, I was dealing with the illness of a dear loved one, who passed away the day before our ceremony. Jim wove this into our ceremony in the most touching way and made us feel cared about in a way I will never forget.
Our ceremony was incredible, Jim put together a heartwarming ceremony that incorporated our faiths in a touching way and incorporated our families who attended via Zoom due to COVID. He helped us feel together, despite being apart. Jim was also very knowledgeable on NY State marriage laws, took care of our license like a pro, and helped us make sure everything was signed and taken care of.
I feel like we got more than just an officiant experience in our time working with Jim, I feel like we found a new, dear friend in the process as well. We are SO incredibly grateful to Jim for all that he did for us on our wedding day, and in the month leading up to it. It was an honor to have him officiate our wedding, and we are so touched by his kindness and support in making our wedding day absolutely the best it could have ever been.

We found Rev. Jim online and after reading all of the amazing reviews we decided to reach out and schedule a Facetime with him. From that call on, we knew we were in great hands. He provided us with so much material for readings and ceremony flow and it was honestly hard to choose. We ended up working with him to mix and match a few different ones to perfectly match our backgrounds. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and he made us both feel so relaxed before the ceremony started. He had suggested that we start off by taking a minute for our guests to mingle once we were at the altar - we LOVED this and are so happy we went with his suggestion. Not only did guests say they loved it, but it also gave us a minute to take a step back and really appreciate having all of our loved ones in one place (and take a breather!) Rev Jim was able to incorporate our story into the ceremony to personalize it, so much so that guests actually thought he was a family member (I had a ton of family from the UK & Ireland who flew over for the wedding.) . He truly blew us away and we could not have asked for anything more - thank you Rev. Jim!! -

Reverend Jim Mooney is one of the most special people my husband and I have ever met. Being engaged and planning a wedding is a exciting yet stressful time, with a lot of decision-making. We knew we wanted to have our ceremony onsite at our beautiful venue but there was a lot to figure out! We were so fortunate to have had Jim Rooney referred to us. Having him part of this journey and our big day was a gift in every way.
From our first conversation, he made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions. We loved visiting Beacon Hermitage and the journey he took us on in preparation for our ceremony. So many of our guests said that it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever attended, traditional yet unique to us in so many ways, and asked if Jim had known us personally beforehand! Our friends still talk about our wedding ceremony and Rev. Jim
When you are planning a wedding, so much time goes into venues, photographers, flowers, invitations, dresses and tuxes, menu, and so on. But the ceremony? Isn’t that the whole reason for the big party after? Thanks to Rev. Jim, our ceremony was beautiful, touching, fun, and completely captured who we are as a couple. Our visits with Rev. Jim were very special, allowing us time to think about our lives, how we fell in love, what we love about each other, and what our hopes are for our marriage. He helped us bring together traditional elements, along with special touches that made our ceremony personal and unique. And Rev. Jim’s engaging, witty, and truly sincere personality made our guests laugh, cry, and feel like a part of our ceremony. It was the perfect balance of solemnity, spirituality, and joyousness. The ceremony is probably the part of the day that our friends and family remember the best. We are so honored to have had Rev. Jim marry us and share in our very special day. -

Rooney is magic !
We had the most amazing wedding ceremony officiated by the wonderful, kind and supportive Rev. Jim Rooney. We felt very well taken care of from the first time we reached out to Rooney up until the final moment of us taking a fun selfie together and thanking him for his services. We were lucky to have the opportunity to meet with him in-person in his beautiful home in Beacon prior to our ceremony. We felt so welcomed and taken care of, we even decided on a ceremony schedule based off of his many thoughtful recommendations (guest mingling, parent readings, wine ceremony). He made it very personal, fun, and he took the time to get to know us. It was clear from the first time we skyped Rev. Jim Rooney that he was going to be our officiant for the wedding and he did an amazing job by keeping it fun and romantic at the same time. We absolutely loved it and many of our guests are still giving us complements to this date ! If I had to do it again, I would change nothing at all. His words really touched us and our families and it could not have been any more perfect. -

Rev. Rooney did a fantastic job from the first time we jumped on Face Time with him, to our visit in Beacon and finally to our wedding day. He took the time to get to know us both as individuals and as a couple in our journey to marriage. He asked us about how we first met, our first dates and the big proposal. During every interaction, he was so welcoming and easy to talk to that we would often go over the time we had planned to chat with him. He knew exactly what we were looking for in our ceremony and provided multiple ways to customize our rituals and incorporate our friends and family throughout the entire ceremony. Our family and friends have told us that it was one of the most engaging ceremonies they had ever been to and definitely one of the most emotional. The day after the wedding, he sent over a very sweet text along with some gorgeous photos of the venue and some special moments from our family portraits. He was incredibly prompt with submitting our marriage license and we got our marriage certificate while we were on our honeymoon the following week! He made the most important of our wedding day so incredibly special not just for us but for our friends and families too. We loved working with Rev. Rooney and we know you will too! -

We can not say enough wonderful things about Rev. Rooney. He helped to make our ceremony a beautiful and unique experience. We were able to add so many personal and special touches to our ceremony. The Perfect Officiant!
My wife and I are so happy we found Jim to be our officiant. From Day 1 he was fully committed to making sure our ceremony was perfect. We aren't very religious, and wanted to keep with our family's religious traditions. Jim knew exactly what we wanted. And our ceremony was amazing! Rev. Rooney was absolutely phenomenal. His participation in our wedding was something that meant so much to us and we wanted the person we chose to feel a part of us, not like a stranger. He nailed it! His contribution was magical and truly made our entire ceremony beyond special. He moved our guests to tears and they even thought we had known him for years. One of my guests actually thought I knew him from childhood. The reason our ceremony was so spot on and personal to my husband and I is because Rev. Rooney took the time to understand who we are. Through written statements and several facetimes, he really got to know us and how our lives came together. I cannot recommend Rev. Rooney enough. His part in our wedding is a memory we will vividly remember forever. -

Jim performed a wonderful wedding ceremony. We are very happy that we have chosen him. Our ceremony was really special - Jim asked us a lot about our lives and after that he summarised our story during the wedding. It was so heartwarming, we cried and laughed. Wonderful, personalized, a joy to work with
We loved working with Rev. Rooney for our wedding ceremony. He always maintained professionalism and prompt responses in any communication. The overall experience was very personalized, and made us feel much more comfortable that we had the chance to meet in his home the week before our wedding. Having that experience relieved some of our nervous feelings and made our actual ceremony smooth-sailing. He also checked in with us from time to time in the months leading up to our wedding to make sure we were doing well with the ceremony planning. The ceremony itself was perfection - Rev. Rooney is an engaging speaker. He made little jokes, and kept us and our guests giggling throughout the entire thing, but also emphasized the emotion of the moment. The ceremony was truly unforgettable, and the most favorite part of our entire wedding day. As a bonus he even recorded our first-look which was a nice little surprise to see the next day. You won't regret hiring Rev. Rooney! -

Best day of my life!
Rev. Jim Rooney made my wedding vision a reality. Not only was Jim so attentive and professional but he was also the most careful person in making sure I had everything in place for my big day. He was my wedding officiant, flower designer, and reception hall decorator.
My husband and I love the outdoors and when we came across Beacon Hermitage we fell in love. I was looking for a rustic and earthly themed wedding and that is exactly what I had when I booked Beacon Hermitage for our 2018 June wedding. My family and I traveled from Houston to New York for my once-in-a-lifetime experience and I could not have been more happy we did. I highly recommend Rev. Rooney's services and venue. -

Rev. Jim Rooney was incredible every step of the way. He walked us through each aspect of the wedding so we could understand the process. I felt very comfortable with Jim, he is very gentle and loving. The location Beacon Hermitage is just so wonderful. The tiered gardens are beautiful and the structures have a very rustic feel, which is what we were looking for. Nestled in between the Hudson River and Mount Beacon, the setting felt like a fairy tale wedding in the green forest. Throughout the ceremony you could hear the soft tender noise of the nearby stream. It was so idyllic! I am so happy I chose to have my wedding at Beacon Hermitage and for having Rev. Jim Rooney as our officiant. -

Rev. Jim is THE best!! We spent so much fun time laughing and getting to know Reverend Jim and deep diving into our relationship and what marriage is - that by the time our wedding day came, it felt as though he was already part of the family! He encouraged a warm atmosphere having all of the guests interacting and taking part in the ceremony and really highlighted the vows and next chapter we were starting. He even surprised us with a special speech given by my father in law that moved everyone to tears. Not a detail was missed, and it felt so special. Rev. Jim was absolutely amazing from the moment we reached out! Prior to our wedding day we FaceTimed with Jim three times and each meeting was so comfortable. Wedding planning is hard, and stressful - but whenever we spoke with Jim we felt so at ease. The first time we got to see Jim in person was on our wedding day! We both ran right over and gave him a huge hug. It felt like he had been a part of our family for our whole lives! To this day (two months after our wedding) every single one of our guests are still raving about the ceremony and how personal it was. Jim really takes the time to get to know each bride/groom and each couples love story. He truly cares about creating a beautiful ceremony and getting everyone involved. I have a huge family and all of my siblings/cousins have said they want Jim to officiate their weddings when the time comes! Thanks again, Rev. Jim. Rev. Jim did an amazing job on our wedding ceremony! He told our guests the details of our love story, included the readings and prayers we wanted, and brought the level of seriousness we were searching for. From the moment we met him, we knew Jim was the perfect officiant for our wedding. We talked for an hour over Skype, while Jim asked about us. What we loved about each other. What our first, second, third date was like. How we got engaged. Some of the things that get lost along the way while wedding planning but are the most important. He took these things into consideration and really got to know us. Not because he had to, because he wanted to. So little of our conversations were business related. We were just chatting like friends. It is obvious that Jim loves his work and puts his entire heart into what he does. Our actual wedding ceremony had our family and friends both laughing and in tears. The rest of the night, everyone couldn't stop talking about special it was and how great Jim was. Prior to this, we didn't know Jim. But you would never know. He personalized our ceremony and made it fit us. He listened to our wants and followed through. He gave us his opinions and told us ways he thought our ideas could be better. All of these things made our ceremony unfortgettable and better than we imagined. Thank you so much Jim for providing a beautiful ceremony that we and our family/friends will never forget. You truly captured our love.
If you are considering Rev. Jim, don't look any further. It was one of the greatest wedding choices we made. -

Rev. Rooney is AMAZING!!!!
Rev. Rooney made our ceremony a memorable one! (his accent was one of the things that made it memorable :)) He's very warm, nice, patient, responsive and very detailed in everything. He encouraged us to make our ceremony reflect who we are as a couple.
Before he started the ceremony, he made our guests mingle to make everyone feel comfortable. (See photo) It was really nice. Our guests also kept on saying how unique the ceremony was and how they loved his accent. :) We love Rev. Rooney and we definitely, absolutely, positively recommend him!
PS:
Our 2-yr old daughter threw a fit during ceremony but Rev. Rooney handled it calmly and finished the ceremony smoothly. :) -
