Genuine Speaker

Rev. Gary Deinstadt was there for us through the whole process - he got to know us, our story, and our preferences. He called to help several times during the planning process and helped us make our ceremony personal with beautiful readings. He is a heartfelt speaker and so many of our guests commented on what a beautiful, emotional ceremony it was. Thank you Gary!

Absolutely perfect and personal ceremony thanks to gary!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Working with Gary was an absolute joy from start to finish. It was extremely important to my husband and I that the ceremony be personal to who we are as a couple. We go to A LOT of weddings and we didn't want it to feel like any couple could've been standing up there like a plug and play bride & groom. To say Gary captured us as a couple would be a gigantic understatement. We cannot even count the amount of people who asked us "how long have you known your officiant for???? Are you related???? He was amazing!" after the ceremony. Despite having only talked to Gary a few times on zoom prior to our wedding day, it truly felt like Gary had known us for years. Knowing how important it was to us for the ceremony to be unique to us, he asked us to submit a personal story that was meaningful to our relationship and the way he delivered it would've made you think he was sitting right there when it happened 4 years ago. Gary has an extremely calming demeanor and a great sense of humor--- two invaluable qualities that set our minds at ease leading up to our wedding day and set the tone for a truly incredible ceremony. Just 10 minutes before coming to write this review I got yet another text message from a guest telling me how memorable the ceremony was and asking if she could "steal some of the beautiful components" for her own wedding back in Texas later this year. I had to tell her that the large majority of it came from Gary's own suggestions--- everything from the flow, to the blessings, to the unique love letter & ring box ceremony was suggested and customized by Gary to deliver the ceremony of our dreams. If you want a personal, heartwarming and inspiring ceremony that your guests won't forget--- look no further than Gary! You won't regret it

Beautiful Ceremony!

My Husband and I absolutely adore Gary. He is so very kind and truly customized everything in our ceremony to suit us so beautifully. We so appreciate his calm peaceful demeanor, how much he put us at ease and his ability to add glimmers of humor to everything he does. Our ceremony could not have been more perfect, or more US. It is so clear that Gary loves what he does and that he loves people. We are so grateful for his thoughtfulness and being a part of our special day!

Gary is the best!

Gary was an excellent officiant for our wedding. He was very organized and was helpful throughout the planning process. On the wedding day, he was fully prepared and officiated a beautiful ceremony.

Wonderful!

Reverend Gary was amazing!
We had to unfortunately reschedule our wedding due to covid and he was very accommodating with this change. He was calming, reassuring, and so easy to talk to. Our ceremony was BEAUTIFUL and so many guests complimented him at our cocktail hour. It is so clear that he values and loves what he does and takes his position very seriously. I would absolutely recommend him over, and over, and over again!

amazing officiant

We were married Thursday, June 25, 2020. After cancelling 3 weddings because of COVID-19 we decided at the last minute to get married at my mother-in-law’s house – just us, my mother-in-law and my sisters-in-law. But now we had to find an officiant. Reverend Gary Deinstadt was ready and willing. Never mind that we are Jewish! It didn’t matter. “Reverend Gary” was as able as he was willing. It was a beautiful ceremony and one that we will not forget. Reverend Gary taught us that we are united in far more than what we think separates us. You would have thought we were members of his congregation – that is how quickly he was able to get to know us and create a ceremony that worked for us. I even got to break the glass!

Could not have asked for a better officiant

Everything was outstanding

Gary was tremendous. He took time to get to know us and tailored a ceremony just for us. He was also quite flexible in making our ceremony happen in the midst of the pandemic (of course with proper social distancing). We highly recommend him!!

Amazing Officiant

Reverend Gary Deinstadt was a pleasure to work with. He is down to earth and easy to talk to. Not knowing what we wanted to do for our ceremony, he had a booklet full of ideas to help us get started. He is very flexible in doing whatever you want for your ceremony. He’ll check in every once in awhile to see how we’re doing and to remind us to get our marriage license. He definitely goes above and beyond and we greatly appreciated it. We were a little nervous about the ceremony not being personable but Reverend Gary did an amazing job! We got so many compliments from our guests about him. We highly recommend getting Reverend Gary for weddings!

The Wedding Ceremony of my dreams!!

My husband and I were married on May 10, 2019 by Rev. Gary, and we could not have imagined our ceremony any differently. Since we were planning our wedding from MA, we were very nervous when we began searching for an officiant (Perhaps me more than my husband). We had searched for months and interviewed a dozen other officiants, however no one else gave us the same sense of comfort and faith that Rev. Gary gave us. We discovered his profile online just 3 months before the wedding. I called Gary and knew right away. Although we did not meet in person until the day of the wedding, Gary made countless efforts to get to know us before hand. Gary was extremely flexible and worked with us to create a ceremony that suited us perfectly as a couple through several emails and phone calls. It had character and was unique to us. On the day of our wedding, Gary's service left us, our family and our friends speechless. His words and blessings were heartfelt and delivered beautifully. Gary truly gave us the wedding of our dreams. I am SO SO happy I did not settle with another officiant and could not be more thankful that we were able to be married by Gary.

After the ceremony and in the weeks following our wedding, we had so many of our guests tell us that ours was one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies that they have ever attended. Gary's kind blessings meant the world to us, as well as our families. It was truly amazing.

Reverend Gary blessed us with a wedding ceremony that we will never ever forget. He exceeded all our expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend his services. You will not be disappointed.

Rev. Gary Was amazing

Where do i begin? Rev. Gary Deinstadt was amazing in every aspect of the word. He performed an amazing ceremony for us on May 4th 2019. Everything he said was spoken truly from the heart and he personalized everything to be exactly what we wanted. Me and my husband come from different religious backgrounds (catholic/Jewish) and i was so nervous about what we could speak about and what we couldnt, but Rev. Gary really helped ease my mind and everything he said was tasteful and beautiful. Through the whole crazy planning process Rev. Gary was so calm and reassuring that he made it so easy for us. Standing up there that day was scary and we were so nervous knowing so many eyes were on us, but Rev. Gary brought us back down to earth and back to eachother which made it comfortable, not so tense and funny. I would pick Rev. Gary over and over again!!!!!!!!

Highly recommend!

Choosing an officiant was one of the most difficult tasks my husband and I had when planning our wedding. We were hesitant to work with someone we did not know but after our first conversation with Gary, we knew we were in good hands. Gary took the time to explain his process and allow us to get to know him (and him to get to know us) to make sure we were a good fit. He was so helpful during the process and made sure we had a ceremony we loved while adding in some surprises.

Gary did a wonderful job the day of our ceremony. He helped keep things calm and organized and delivered a beautiful ceremony. So many guests asked us how we knew Gary because the ceremony fit us so well. Gary took care of our marriage license quickly and was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend Gary!

Best decision ever!

My husband and I were back and forth on who we wanted to our officiate our wedding. We both felt this was one of the most important vendor selections in the whole process. We were so indecisive that with 3 months to go until the wedding we still hadn’t chosen anyone. I was searching vendors one night and came across Gary’s website. We had an intro call and then meet him in person. We immediately get comfortable with Gary even though we barely knew him. His personality was exactly what we were looking for. And his approach to creating the ceremony was great. It was easy to work with him over email to finalize everything. At the wedding, friends and family all told us how wonderful the officiant was. We couldn’t agree more! He made the ceremony very special for us. I’m so glad we chose someone with his experience and demeanor. It was a very special ceremony and we have Gary to thank for that.

Reverend Gary is the best!

We could not have been more thrilled to work with Reverend Gary and the amazing job he did on our wedding day. We both were raised Catholic but do not currently practice; we knew we didn't want a religious ceremony, but we wanted some familiar aspects of our Christian faith and upbringing. We also opted not to have a friend or family member officiate as we wanted someone with experience and who we felt like we could trust to be in charge (and not stress out!). I did a lot of research to find a minister I felt was authentic and genuine, without being stuffy or boring. Enter: Gary! To start, he walked us step-by-step through the planning process, offering insightful guidance when requested. The day of, Gary could not have done a more incredible job. He made everyone involved in the ceremony feel informed and prepared, and guided everything seamlessly. All of our guests couldn't get over how special they thought our ceremony was, and so many were moved to heartfelt tears. He expertly wove together all the parts and pieces, and truly made our ceremony feel uniquely "us." For so many weddings we've attended, we've felt like the ceremony was just a stuffy obligation to get through before the party; ours was the most beautiful symbol of our love and relationship. Thank you, Gary, for all that you did to make our wedding so special!

Gary was so wonderful and we are so happy to have him as our officiant

We are so happy to have chosen Gary as our officiant! We got his name through a friend who had him at their wedding which was wonderful and the second we met him immediately loved him. His energy is the definition of happy, he makes you feel so comfortable with the whole process walking you through each step. He gives you so many options for whatever kind of ceremony you want and meeting with him is so easy! He’s very flexible with when and where to meet, on time for everything, will respond back to any questions you have quickly and he’s super helpful. We felt like even though we met him once before our wedding we’ve known him our whole life! All of our guests loved him and I’m so happy we chose him.

Perfect ceremony!!

Gary was AMAZING. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. From meeting him the first time to the wedding day he constantly checked in and was super helpful in helping us determine the wording for our ceremony. We got some many people asking who the officiant was after the wedding because everyone loved him. He was exactly who we pictured marrying us and were so so happy with his services. Gary delivers!

Gary was simply AMAZING! He was so easy to work with, he was flexible, kind, helpful, and so wonderful. Our wedding on 9/14/18 was nothing short of amazing. Immediately after our ceremony ended, all the guests came up to me asking “where did you get your officiant?!” Many even asked if he was also a stand up comedian- and I said no but he is an Emmy award winner :) From the first phone call with Gary to meeting him before the wedding to our wedding day, we feel so comfortable with him. He tailored our ceremony to us and made it so special. He included personal things about us and had our guests laughing one minute and crying the next! He responded to emails very quickly and was there whenever we had any questions. I am so happy that we chose Gary to be a part of our day, and even happier that he chose us!

Rev. Gary was amazing! From the first time we sat down with him, we could tell how passionate he was about what he did. He listened to our thoughts and took the time to get to know us and our story. Arranging a ceremony proved to be one of the most difficult parts of wedding planning, but Gary made it that much easier. He was always available to answer any questions and relieve any stress we had regarding the wedding. Gary was very supportive of our ideas and was able to offer advice based on his vast knowledge and experience. He understood and respected our personal backgrounds and was able to plan a ceremony tailored to both of us. He made it intimate and special for my husband and I while keeping it enjoyable, and occasionally humorous, for our guests. Rev Gary was absolutely from start to finish for our wedding. He was so flexible and personable, and really got to know my husband and I. We met up at Panera, and he asked us a few questions about our relationship and important life qualities we found important. He provided us with a packet of a few options for ceremonies and readings. Rev Gary was so great in guiding us in the right direction, and helped us come up with the perfect ceremony just for us. You are able to mix and match and add/delete any portion of the ceremony you wish, and can really make it your own. My guests are still complimenting me on how professional Rev Gary was, and how beautiful the reading was and just how he delivered it. He speaks with such a presence that really delivers the message most are trying to convey on their wedding day. Rev Gary was super responsive via email, and is there to help you every step of the way. We also received our marriage certificate within a week (in NY)!! Reverend Gary was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the first time we met, at the local diner, to discuss our ideas and plans for our ceremony, he made us feel so important. We felt very comfortable discussing everything with him and he asked great questions when getting to know us that reminded me of why we chose to get married to each other. The variety of options he provides for the style and type of ceremony were extremely helpful and the best was we were able to really personalize it. He was extremely helpful throughout the process and punctual when responding to emails. We left for our honeymoon 2 days after the wedding and our marriage license was here by the time we were back home. Reverend Gary, you are a special and wonderful person. We chose to have Gary officiate our wedding after meeting with him for about an hour or so. He spent some time asking us questions and getting to know us, and at the end of the meeting we were sure that we had the right person. We knew that we wanted a non-religious ceremony, and he had plenty of pre-written ones that met our needs well. We were able to customize our ceremony via email, and the process couldn’t have been smoother. He was accommodating to our preferences and had many great ideas and suggestions along the way. The actual ceremony he gave was perfect. Our friends and family were so impressed and were surprised to find out that we hadn’t actually known him all our lives. He also made the process of completing our marriage license a breeze. We highly recommend Reverend Deinstadt!

We are so thankful that we decided to have Reverend Gary officiate our wedding! When my husband and I first met Gary we knew he was the minister we wanted to go with. We felt so comfortable with Gary. He spend a lot of time learning about our story and understanding us as individuals and as a couple. During our ceremony, it was clear he was able to take the information we provided and used it to deliver this wonderful story. It was as if he knew us for years. My daughter and now son-in law married in June of 2016 after a year engagement... I researched and spoke to several officiants to preform the services and not having a referral, had my homework cut out for me. Fortunately, after not being sure pressed on and low and behold, I came upon Reverend Gary Deinstadt . One conversation, and I knew this would be the perfect match after a conversation. Once Lisa and Eric met him at a local restaurant for lunch, they knew it was meant to be. At the wedding, he captured the ear and hearts of the 200 guests that had his attention. In the sincere manner in which he spoke his words that were touching, deep, intimate as he may have known them for years, and humorous. My now husband and I first met with Rev. Gary at a convenient half way point between all of us, and within the first 5 minutes we knew he would be the one to marry us. We had such a warm and pleasant conversation and he asked deep questions to really try to learn more about us. We booked him right away and he sent us samples of the different types of ceremony options. We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony, but my husband is Catholic and he really wanted a religious ceremony. I on the other hand wanted something very personal and emotional. We found the perfect blend in one of Rev. Gary's ceremony options. Communication with him leading up to the wedding was easy and he always answered promptly (sometimes he even gave me reminders I had forgotten about).
Our wedding day and ceremony was the most perfect, and euphoric experience of my life. Rev. Gary touched every one of our guests with his words. We have received so many compliments about him. Many of our guests said it was the best and most touching ceremony they have ever witnessed. Rev. Gary was truly wonderful both on the day of our wedding, and during the months leading up to it as we worked together to find just the right readings and blessings to achieve the feeling we were hoping to create during our ceremony. We chose to blend traditional and modern and during our first meeting, Rev. Gary was kind of enough to suggest a Wine Box ceremony which we ended up using and loved. I cannot wait to open the letters my husband and I wrote to one another on our 5th Anniversary! Rev. Gary then stayed with us throughout cocktail hour and into the beginning of the reception so that he could lead us in a short Blessing before the meals were served, complete with a champagne toast. Family and friends have spoken so highly of him since our big day, and we couldn't be happier. He was kind, patient, reassuring and very responsive. If you are looking to create a truly unique ceremony, Rev. Gary will help you achieve all that you are hoping to. He also took care of mailing in our witnessed marriage license so that the certificate would arrive while we were away on our Honeymoon. After planning a wedding, it was one less thing we had to worry about, and I appreciated it. His advice is well mannered and he is very thoughtful when making suggestions for how you might piece together all of your ideas so that it looks effortless to your guests. We could not have been happier that we chose Rev. Gary to officiate our Oct. 2016 wedding ceremony at Tappan Hill Mansion. From our initial meeting with Gary, he took the time to get to know us individually and as a couple, and was able to fully discern the kind of ceremony we envisioned. Gary was clearly very experienced in working with couples to tailor the ceremony to personal tastes.

As our wedding approached Gary checked in regularly and offered helpful suggestions when we were unsure on the flow and substance of the ceremony. Rev. Gary worked with us to create a personal and meaningful ceremony. He took the time to meet with us and ask important questions about our relationship and marriage goals. His genuine interest in the importance of our relationship and the time he spent with us allowed for him to have a personal connection to our ceremony and connection with us as a couple. From our initial meeting with Rev Gary, we knew he was the one to marry us in just a few minutes of speaking with him. He had so many wonderful suggestions, keeping in mind that we wanted to stay on the Traditional side with our ceremony. Rev. Gary in his own special way asked us questions to get to know more about us and when he did that, my husband and I actually learned more about each other! He was so interested in how we met and what our hopes for the future were for each other. He is so very kind, helpful and has such an amazingly soothing demeanor that won us over immediately. When it came time for us to write our vows to each other, my husband and I didn't know where to start. Rev. Gary advised us to "write from the heart" and also provided us with a helpful template, allowing us to build upon that. When our vows were completed, we sent them to Rev. Gary to review and he provided us with such positive and feedback! Rev. Gary was so incredibly experienced in assisting us with the planning and the details of the ceremony. He was always available to guide us, night or day. The end result was nothing short of perfect and spectacular. So many of our family, friends and guests had given us tremendous compliments about Rev. Gary and the way he officiated our ceremony. The waterfront banquet hall where we had our ceremony was very impressed with him and look forward to having him back officiating future ceremonies. He has followed every detail even post-wedding such as assisting us with the filing and receipt of our marriage license. Rev. Gary Deinstadt made our ceremony refreshing and had our guests both laughing and crying. Before the wedding he took the extra step to offer ideas to involve family members and ways to make the experience entirely personal. Once the ceremony was finalized he provided structured materials that were easy to follow during the rehearsal. This included reading samples and poem recommendations. Rev. Gary was a breath of fresh air and made us feel comfortable during every step of the process. We received several requests from our guests for his contact to book for their daughter, friends and own weddings! I recommend him to all brides, especially those going for a traditional catholic ceremony but with a personalized touch.

We couldn’t have asked for a better official! Rev. Gary was really easy to work with, extremely organized and knowledgeable. He helped us plan every detail of our beautiful ceremony and when it came to live, every word resonated with our guests. Even months later, people still tell us that it was the best ceremony they’ve seen.

Our choice was a "semi-religious ceremony" because we felt that it was more personal and close to the heart than the traditional catholic ceremony. Rev. Gary helped us pick readings that were close to our philosophy on life and marriage. Ironically, one of the readings consisted of 7 sections — the number of our bridesmaids/groomsmen, so each bridesmaid read a line. A few of the groomsman read "love is kind". At the end, this was a ceremony that almost everyone in the wedding party helped bring to life.

Gary officiated the most beautiful ceremony for us at our venue in front of 215 guests. After only meeting with him once before the wedding, he spoke about us as if he knew us for years, everyone couldn't stop talking about how amazing of a ceremony we had, they all mentioned it was as if Gary knew us for years. Gary answered all the questions and concerns we had leading up to the wedding (via phone calls), and put our minds at ease when it came to organizing the ceremony. Gary was a pleasure to work with. He was communicative and helpful from the moment we met him in a NYC coffeeshop. His friendly and calm demeanor and professionalism were just a few of the key qualities in Gary that stuck with us. Gary was helpful in providing several different ceremonies we could work with to tailor our own. He was open to ideas, provided solutions and organized until the the big day. Gary arrived promptly - his calming demeanor was so refreshing and assuring. I remember when he walked into the venue and I was in a bit of a panic. Just seeing him made me feel more relaxed. Our guests are still talking to this day about how wonderful Gary's delivery and words were from the ceremony. We can't speak more highly about Gary as an officiant, he truly made our day the best ever. Gary was also on top of the wedding license logistics. He created a timeline and reminded us of when we needed things done. We received our marriage license just under 2 weeks after our wedding day. We were lucky to have Reverend. Gary as our officiant for our wedding at Mohonk Mountain House! At our first meeting we decided on him. In describing how wonderful it was to have Rev. Gary officiate our wedding I would have to start by stating that my wife and I were originally going to have my dad officiate our wedding being that he was a former Roman Catholic priest and was pretty much the manifestation of all my values, existential thoughts, and ideas about our place in the universe.

Unfortunately, my father passed away 4 months before our wedding. This was clearly devastating and even the thought of having someone else stand in his shoes to conduct our wedding ceremony was nearly beyond comprehension. Who could replace my father, which I would be a fool to even attempt to describe his importance to myself as well as everyone he’d encounter.

Eventually, we had to face the task of finding an officiant and it couldn’t just be anybody. Early on in our search we came upon Rev. Gary’s profile. From what we read it seemed that his approach to spirituality was congruent with ours and that of my dad’s. We wanted a structured, but customizable ceremony in which we could incorporate personable and sentimental aspects of our lives, as well as honor my dad.

When we finally met Rev. Gary we instantly had an overwhelming sense of comfort and knew that if there was anyone that could stand in my dad’s place it was him. It was as if my dad hand picked him from heaven. It was enjoyable working with Rev. Gary in laying everything out for our ceremony. Understanding the sensitivity of the circumstances, he helped us incorporate the teachings of my father into the ceremony. In the end it was our ceremony, lead with the grace and personal touch of Rev. Gary, and in the light of my father’s love.

All of our guests were so impressed with Rev. Gary and made a point to share how moved they were by the ceremony. We will always look back with affection on how wonderful Rev. Gary made our wedding day. With that, we cannot thank Rev. Gary enough and are happy to have him in our lives!

Rev. Gary did such an incredible job on our wedding day. He was very helpful throughout the whole process of creating the ceremony and was extremely flexible when we completely changed out venue. He kept us both very calm throughout the ceremony and really tried to get to know us as a couple, which he incorporated on his own. It really added a nice personal touch. He also made our initial meeting with him very relaxed and we felt like we had known him for years after only a few minutes. After just a quick meet-and-greet over coffee, my husband and I knew that Reverend Gary would be the perfect officiant for our wedding. Rev. Gary was absolutely wonderful!! He was definitely the perfect fit for us. He helped us to find a happy median between traditional and unique as well as serious but light and funny. Sounds impossible, but not with Gary! He guided us through the whole process. He customized our ceremony to fit our personalities, he called the week before to go over everything and make sure he had everything right, he showed up and hour before to make sure things were as they should be and meet with the bridal party to explain the process. He also mailed our license in for us. We never had any questions or concerns. Gary always made us feel at ease. We received so many compliments about how great our ceremony, specifically Gary was from pretty much everyone at the wedding! Hands down, the BEST decision for officiant! Thanks Gary!

I recently got married on April 18, 2015. My husband Luigi and I used Reverend Gary to perform our ceremony. My experience with Rev. Gary was truly amazing. I would highly recommend him to any couple looking for a perfect ceremony. My husband (thats even weird to type lol) and I met Gary about three weeks prior to our wedding and knew immediately we wanted to share our day with him. During the three weeks prior our wedding we had more to do then we anticipated, between hotel bags, favors, last minute errands and picking our vows we were overwhelmed. Gary took it upon himself to send us emails with numerous sample vows/ceremonies/readings etc and picked one that he thought was perfect for us based on our meeting. Gary was always a step ahead and beyond helpful. We received so many compliments after our ceremony that everyone thought we had known Rev. Gary for years. Everyone was so impressed that it was an actual ceremony and not a 'quick 1, 2 you're married' type of ceremony. It was detailed with what was personal to us; we had a reading and a poem read by our loved ones, blessing of the hands by Rev. Gary, it wasn't rushed and it was intimate. I will remember it forever. We had such a great experience with Reverend Gary! He took the time to create a ceremony tailored to us and our situation and it was better than we could have ever imagined. After the ceremony many guests were commenting on how wonderful and special the ceremony was. Upon speaking with him, we knew what to expect and he walked us through everything. Many thanks to Reverend Gary for getting to know us and taking the time to make it memorable. He’s a special man with a warm heart. AMAZING!! We met with multiple officiants before meeting with Gary. Once we starting talking we knew Gary was exactly what we were looking for. He was a breath of fresh air and while he gave us many examples and suggestions, he also gave us full control of what we wanted our ceremony to be. My wife and I were a little nervous to try and find an officiant for our wedding, but we read amazing reviews of Rev. Gary and decided to give him a call. We met with him in person and immediately felt at ease. He really took the time to get to know us both as individuals and as a couple. We knew he would be a great fit when he asked us to describe what we each love about the other. He presented us with a packet with several options for making the ceremony the way we wanted.

Throughout the course of our wedding planning, Gary was easily reachable and responded to our many questions. He made us feel comfortable in planning the most important part of our wedding. On the day of, he conducted a beautiful, warm, and loving ceremony. So many of our guests came up to us to compliment how beautiful and heartfelt a ceremony we had. Many thought we had known Gary for years and my wife and I are so thankful to have chosen him to be a big part of our special day.

Gary was better than I ever could have imagined. He was kind, he listened, he learned about us as a couple. He took into consideration exactly how we wanted our ceremony to be executed and he carried it out to perfection. I had only known Gary for a little while but it felt like my friend was right there next to me in our most special moment.

My husband and I got married on June 6th 2014 at The Surf Club On The Sound in New Rochelle, NY and Reverend Gary could not have been a better fit for our ceremony! We met in person before the wedding to get a few things in order and for him to give us the download on what would happen on our special day. Gary was very professional and made the whole process easy for us. He gave us many options for how we could customize our ceremony to fit our religious and personal preferences. My favorite was when we first met and he asked my husband and I what we loved about each other. Right then and there I knew Rev. Gary was the best person for our ceremony because he truly was there for all the right reasons. I'd definitely recommend Rev. Gary to anyone that is looking to get married in the NY area.

Gary was so amazing! The moment we met Rev. Gary we knew he was the officiant we wanted to marry us. Rev. Gary was so personable and made us feel so comfortable. He was very responsive and allowed us to customize our ceremony and welcomed all of our thoughts. He did an amazing job the day of our wedding. We found Reverend Gary after searching online--we were a bit apprehensive about hiring someone we didn't know, but his reviews are (deservedly) stellar so we took a chance. He is extremely professional and put us at ease right from the beginning with his warmth and friendliness. He helped us through countless drafts of our ceremony text and had wonderful suggestions. Gary is the best in the business. I feel so blessed to have had him as our Officiant. Before hiring Gary we looked at several people online with great reviews who perform ceremonies in CT but when we found Gary we knew he was the one for us. We met Gary who traveled a very long way to meet with us and felt totally assured.
After our first meeting with Gary, he worked with us tirelessly. He talked to us, emailed with us and above all was very patient with us when we still had no idea what we wanted. He also provided so much guidance and worked with us as our ceremony went through several drafts in order to make it exactly what we wanted.
On the day of the wedding Gary showed up early to check on both of us (bride and groom) and he brought with him a cloud of pure joy. Our ceremony was fantastic, classy, and full of celebratory laughter. It was exactly the ceremony we wanted and many guests even commented that it was the best ceremony they had ever been to and one that made them feel full of happiness and love. We are so happy that Gary was apart of our day and if you are looking for an Officiant, look no further, Gary is the one for you!

We felt an instant comfort, and sense of ease as soon as we met Gary. He is kind, warm, and truly interested in getting to know his couples. His warm heart was first and foremost throughout the entire process. Looking back We were nervous about putting together our interfaith ceremony, especially since neither of us currently belong to a congregation. Reverend Gary immediately put my husband and me at ease from our first meeting, and we are thrilled we chose him to officiate our recent wedding. He helped us create a beautiful ceremony that we felt really reflected who we are as a couple, and gave some excellent advice on the length, flow, and timing. Gary was an absolute pleasure to work with!! From our first meeting, my husband and I felt instantly comfortable and at ease. We were married on 9/21/13 by Rev. Gary Deinstadt. We were looking for a reverend to marry us that would allow us to create our own ceremony and include the elements that were important to us. For example, we wanted a Family Sand Ceremony to include my step son as part of our ceremony. We wanted a good mix of spiritual and god with a flare of us. We felt strongly that the ceremony was the most important part of the day so we wanted the right person for the job. We interviewed several ministers with these goals in mind and were not comfortable until we met Rev. Gary who was referred to us from a friend. He was amazing to work with. He provided suggestions and some formats to use, but allowed us the freedom to create our own ceremony and vows that were meaningful for us. His easy going nature and positive attitude that were evident in our first meeting, carried through the entire process and made him a joy to work with! Ultimately Gary did a Beautiful job in presiding over our ceremony and helped make it a great celebration of us and our family! While we thought it was wonderful, we have had guests comment that they thought it was a beautiful ceremony and some of the best they have ever been to. That speaks for itself I think.

My husband and I were married 8/31/13. We are of two different faiths and had two officiates, but Rev. Gary was the absolute best! From the moment we met to right this second Rev. Gary was there to answer any and all questions we had. He helped me to create a wedding ceremony that was truly my own, and brought the wedding ceremony of my dreams to life! He is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, personable, caring, and so much more. I had so many details of the ceremony I wanted to make sure reflected me and my husband, and Rev. Reverend Gary has been great to work with and to have by our side on our big day and our rehearsal. My bride and I met him about 7 months before our wedding. He was very welcoming the first time we met. Reverend Gary was patient in going over all the different ceremony possibilities and even kept in touch throughout the wedding preparations to make sure everything was settled.
Reverend Gary was very professional, and made everything go smoothly throughout the day. While I was waiting nervously for my bride, he kept me at ease. He even made sure to keep the DJ in check when they had missed their cue.
The most memorable part about Reverend Gary was his kind words and genuine personality when sharing our day and introducing us into a new world as husband and wife.

Gary was absolutely wonderful and helped to make our day so special. Gary is great! The ceremony couldn't have been any better! Gary is so nice and personable, I recommend him to anyone. The ceremony was not too long and was just put together really well. We can whole heartily say that we had such a great wedding day and were pleased to have Rev. Gary Deinstadt as our officiant, who did such an outstanding job composing and performing the ceremony. He was so personable and really wanted to get to know us and our story. We met with him before our big day which was great because by the time the wedding came around he felt like a friend rather than just a guy that is marrying us! You could tell he was so passionate about the wedding experience for couples and instantly created a connection with us. He is very talented at what he does and listened to our needs. Gary arrived in plenty of time and helped us get it together those last moments before the ceremony when you are super frazzled and nervous. He was also wonderful during the ceremony. We had a small, intimate ceremony in New York Central Park and he hit just the perfect note for it. Gary took the time to talk to us, to get to know us, how we met etc. and we were also able to get to know him. Choosing who will marry you is the most important aspect of planning a wedding. So often I've seen where the priest/reverend loses an audience because they lack the charisma to keep guests engaged by their story telling, or interest in the couple. After the ceremony, our guests kept coming up to us and commenting on what a great job Reverend Gary did, and how nice he was. Of course we agreed! It was nice too, that he stayed after the ceremony for part of the cocktail hour to spend time with our family with whom he had met at our rehearsal that he came to. They loved him!!! Prior to our big day, if I had a question I emailed him and got a response right away, if not the same day. He listened to what we wanted and was extremely professional, kind and a wonderful person to deal with. Thank you so much Gary for an absolute FLAWLESS ceremony ;) Actually, the whole day was just a breeze and we can't wait to see the video!!!! All our best, Jennifer and Ian Austin

Rev. Gary officiated our non-religious wedding ceremony, and he did an outstanding job! My Fiance was a bit anxious waiting for me at the aisle, and Rev. Gary put him at ease by doing some non-wedding related small talk. He greatly appreciated that.
We drafted our own ceremony script, however, Rev.Gary provided valuable feedback. He also took our ceremony script, and incorporated some of his ideas, and delivered it flawlessly! The ceremony felt very sincere, emotional and funny as we wanted. He also brings a lot of gravitas to the event, which I feel is very important as to us the ceremony is what makes a wedding a wedding. Our guests also were very touched, and could relate to things Rev.Gary said. He does truly engage the audience, and make the ceremony very relevant and sincere for the couple and the guests. He truly made our wedding very special! I would strongly recommend him to another couple.

We are so thrilled to write this recommendation for Reverend Gary! From the moment we met Gary, he made us feel comfortable and at ease with the process. We were very happy with his communication and organization leading up to the wedding day. On the day of our wedding, his calm and confident presence was greatly appreciated in the moments before the ceremony. We will always treasure the memories of our ceremony, and this is largely due to Gary's heartfelt words and professionalism. Many of our guests and family members have commented in the days since our wedding how impressed they were with Reverend Gary and our entire ceremony. We are so thankful we found him!

Rev. Gary was such a blessing! He was really wonderful - we clicked with him right away - just after a few minutes of meeting over coffee. I didn't have to contemplate whether Rev. Gary would be our officiant - I just knew it right from the start. He was so calming, and meshed with our personalities wonderfully. He guided us through the whole process and helped us customize our ceremony to our liking. He stayed for the cocktail hour and gave such a thoughtful blessing before our dinner. Our guests all mentioned what a great job Rev. Gary did - it was truly a perfect day!
