Rettew's was wonderful to work with. They were flexible with our menu and executed our requested adjustments from our tasting perfectly. They also took great care of us on our big day. Would happily recommend to any couples for their wedding catering.

Amazing to work with; Delicious food & desserts

We had Rettew's cater our wedding. Everything was fantastic. The food was delicious. The presentation, plate settings, & linens were all very nice looking. The dessert table was a huge hit. Thank you to Kim Loose for her professionalism and being so easy to work with. We had several last minute changes and they were able to accommodate without issue.

Must book caterer!!

From the very beginning, Rettew's was perfect. Amanda, our sales manager, was a pleasure to work with. She was always quick to answer our questions and helped us with everything we needed for our wedding. We used Rettew's for our food, desserts, and bartenders, as well as linens, plates, and silverware, all of which have plenty of options to choose from. It was so convenient to have to just deal with one vendor for it all. They worked with us to ensure our menu was exactly what we wanted. We received so many compliments on the food, with many guests saying it was the best wedding food they'd ever had—and we couldn’t agree more. We are still getting texts from our friends talking about the food. The bartenders provided all the mixers, ice, and glassware; all we had to provide was the alcohol. They were friendly and efficient, and I never saw the line get too long.

We also want to give a special shoutout to Jason, the catering manager on the day of our wedding. Every married couple we have talked to told us to make sure we actually eat during the night. We didn’t have to worry about that for a second. As soon as we entered the cocktail hour, Jason approached us asking what we wanted to drink, and within a minute we had drinks and appetizers just for us. He made sure we had appetizers at our family kings table, knowing we would likely be too busy talking to guests to try them ourselves. Throughout the night, he (and the rest of the staff) checked in on our entire table to make sure everything was running smoothly. My mom’s favorite story to tell is how before she could even stand up from her chair to go to the bar, Jason was already setting down a new drink for her and my MIL.

We loved everything about Rettew's and highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding.

Highly Recommend Rettew's Catering!

Rettew's was our caterer for our wedding. The food was wonderful quality and the team was professional and kind. Amanda on the team was especially attentive and caring during the entire process from beginning to end! Additionally, we had a wonderful experience during our food tasting. It was a private tasting and was so fun to try everything that we had on our menu! The team was super flexible with changing the menu as needed. I highly recommend Rettew's Catering!

Wedding for 200+

We had a wonderful experience using Rettew's Catering. The food was outstanding. This was an off site location with no kitchen and they delivered 200+ sit down meals of filet, chicken and vegetarian options. Our guest remarked that "it was the best wedding food they have ever had." The staff was also wonderful to work with and Amanda great with communication and details!

Top notch service & food

Rettew's Catering did a phenomenal job for my daughter's wedding. From start to finish, they were so easy to work with and offered a lot of different options. You would NEVER know that the venue did not have a kitchen on site. The food was hot and delicious. I had several guests go out of the way to compliment the food. On top of that, the service was top notch. They were on top of every detail every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Incredible

Rettews was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our winter wedding. We wanted a cozy, home-cooked meal vibe and oh my gosh they delivered! They worked with us to customize some special stations like a soup and grilled cheese bar, a hot cocoa bar, and a smores station! Everything was amazing, we even had some guests tell us it was the best wedding food they had ever had! I so wish I could go back in time and eat more of everything (advice to future brides out there...make sure you give yourself time to eat!). I can't recommend Rettews enough, absolutely 10/10.

Outstanding! 10/10 Recommend

Rettew's was incredible and everything we could've hoped for in our caterer. They were very accommodating and transparent leading up to the day. We had a few ethnic options that we wanted to incorporate, and they pulled it off flawlessly! We also had a few specialty drinks that we did, and people still rave about them to me to this day! Very affordable especially considering we had a wedding with 170 guests. And the menu they put together was very creative and perfect for the vibe of what we were going for. Not to mention the food was awesome! I was always worried about the food part of the wedding as that can tend to be the most memorable, good or bad. We were blessed to be left with the memory Rettew's provided and hope to be able to work with them again in the future!

Rettew's is the best!

Choosing Rettew's for our wedding was the best decision. From the start, communication was excellent. When we had our tasting, everything was so good! We had full confidence they would have high quality, flavorful food, and they definitely delivered. Their food options are extensive and they are priced fairly. Our guests are still raving about how good the food was! They were extremely helpful, especially when it came to my millions of questions and changes, and they took care of everything - even gave us extra meals at the end of the night and packed our cake up perfectly for us to freeze and save. We highly recommend choosing Rettew's for all your catering needs. They are amazing at what they do and it shows!

Delicious food all night!

We used Rettews for our wedding this past weekend and couldn’t have been happier with them. From the cocktail hour food stations to the entrees to dessert and late night bites, everything was delicious and our guests were raving . Amanda was such a delight to work with as well. 100/10 - I can't recommend Rettews enough!

We knew for sure after our tasting that Rettews would be perfect for our wedding. The food was not only delicious but the staff was so professional and responsive. I also knew then that we wouldn't have to worry about the details and you and the team would make everything perfect. Both Amanda and Katelyn were a dream to work with and knew I didn't have to worry about anything the day of because of them. The whole team on the wedding day was exceptional and so friendly to our guests.

Wonderful Wedding Caterer!

We are so happy to have had Rettew’s Catering on our wedding team and to have had the pleasure of working with Amanda. Planning an out-of-state wedding can be a little daunting and we relied a lot on being able to communicate effectively with our vendors. From the beginning, Amanda was very responsive and she patiently answered all of our questions, and addressed any concerns we had, ensuring that we felt confident and at ease throughout the planning process. The tasting appointment was a highlight of our wedding preparations! We appreciated the variety in your menu options, and it was difficult for us to pick our favorites! Our guests really enjoyed their entree options, complimented our dessert varieties, and the hors d’oeuvres were my personal favorites. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Rettew’s Catering. Thank you so much again for being a part of our day and helping us to put together a menu that was enjoyed by all!

Personalization from Start to Finish

Rettew was absolutely incredible in guiding us through the entire process and ensuring every last detail was perfect. We wanted our wedding to be representative of us as a couple, all the way down to our favorite foods. The variety of food options and the ability to customize our menu (like including chicken parm as an entrée) was really important for us. We picked food that was very specific to us, like our favorite foods (chicken parm and penne vodka), a crab app as I'm from Maryland, and the flat bread pizzas as we make homemade pizza regularly. We were also blown away by the food tasting - especially on the steak. We couldn't believe how good it was!

In going through the process, we did make a bunch of changes the menu and had lots of questions when it came to preparing for the signature drink and deciding on alcohol and Amanda was always incredibly helpful and very quick to respond!

On the day of our wedding, we did not attend our cocktail hour due to photos, so we LOVED that a sampler board of the apps were waiting for us at the table. Also, one of our signature drinks was a Lavender Moscow Mule, to which Rettew took to the next level. It was such a nice touch, that I have not seen used at wedding previously!

The day after our wedding we ran into Rita from Rettew the day after the wedding in Lititz and she stopped us and shared some incredibly kind words about our wedding. We couldn't believe that she recognized us or remembered such specific details of the day, including the way our tables had polaroid photos of us instead of traditional table numbers. I cannot even express how incredible it was to hear her share such kind words!

We would 100% suggest choosing Rettew for your wedding day (or any catered event)!

10/10 Would Recommend

From the start, we felt like we were the only couple Rettew's was catering for. Very communicative, honest, helpful, etc. Our tasting was just the two of us - and I'd try to describe how wonderful it was, but I fear I'd hit the character limit. Everything tasted great, was presented as if it was our wedding day, and no tweak or wish of ours was too much for Rettew's to graciously accept. As our wedding day got closer, our coordinator was wonderful handling various tweaks, add ons, drop offs. We never felt like a burden to the team; they made us feel like everything was in control. Day of, you won't be disappointed with the staff. I think every single server went out of there way to congratulate us and ask if there was anything the could get us (an extra app, a drink refill, etc.)... and best of all, you could tell they were 1000% genuine. Didn't seem like they were checking a box, but truly wishing us the best. Would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Simply the Best

From our first contact, Michelle "heard" what we wanted for our celebration. Stations, no assigned seating, some round tables, some high tops. No place settings. We wanted our celebration to match the couple: an American woman and a Spanish man. We wnated both cultures represented and food to accommodate everyone (including vegan). The team did a spectacular job! It could not have been better! It is hard to write a review of perfection!! Servers were professional, bartenders AWESOME, and Michelle there every step of the way...I could never had anticipated such perfection! Simply the best!

Delicious Food & Fantastic Service

One of the things we wanted to make sure we had was amazing food at our wedding! Rettew's Catering delivered!! After going to a tasting, we knew that Rettew's was going to be our caterer. They had so many options to fit our wants and needs. On our wedding day, Rettew's was wonderful to work with and the food and service was fantastic! They went above and beyond; from providing a plate of snacks for my bridesmaids and I before the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and reception, even giving the bride and groom plates of food to take back to the hotel with us! We mostly worked with Michelle after having to postpone due to COVID. She was wonderful, quick to respond to emails, and listened to everything we wanted. She was also there the day of our wedding to make sure everything ran smooth. You will not be disappointed when you hire Rettew's Catering!

Worth Every Penny!

If your budget allows, do not hesitate to book Rettew's! The food, from cocktail hour, to dinner, to dessert is absolutely out of this world and our guests could not stop raving about it. Everything was incredible, and we heard very positive reviews about each menu option (beef, chicken, vegetarian) during the dinner and all of our hor d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, including the tomato soup and grilled cheese crouton that added some whimsy to our fall menu. We also had Rettew's provide our cake and a dessert display that our guests were very excited about. The service during cocktail hour and the reception was fantastic, the bartenders were on top of everything and never left anyone waiting, and set-up/clean-up was handled quickly. We are so happy we chose Rettew's, and you will be too!

Amazing Food!

I haven't heard one bad thing about the food provided by Rettew's! Everyone loved both our steak and chicken options and I heard multiple times that it was the best food they have had at a wedding. Rettew's also did my cake and sugar cookies and they turned out amazing and yummy too! My wedding was 200+ and Rettew's rose to the occasion!

Delicious food!

Rettew's catered our wedding on 9/25/21 and everything turned out exactly as we envisioned. We received so many compliments on how good our food was. Guests raved about our appetizers (bacon-wrapped scallops, crab cakes, chicken and waffles, mac and cheese cups, and meatball parm slider). Guests also loved our entrees and constantly mentioned how tender the short ribs were and how perfectly the chicken and salmon were cooked. Our cake came out beautifully and even better than we imagined (and tasted just as great)! Guests really enjoyed our mini desserts as well (cheesecake, macaroons, mousse cups, raspberry shortcake parfait, and fruit tarts). Katelyn from Rettew's was on-site during our wedding and was extremely helpful and there for us the entire night. The waiter's and bartender's service was fantastic for both the cocktail hour and reception. We worked primarily with Michelle for the process leading up to the wedding. Michelle was a pleasure to work with and was extremely accommodating and always quick to respond to questions that we had. They also had a great selection of tablecloths and decor that fit our vision perfectly. Overall, the food and service Rettew's provided was second to none and was truly enjoyed by all of our guests.

Effortless with quality food and service

Rettew's catered our wedding on 9/25/21 and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Throughout the entire process, Michelle G. worked very closely with us to make sure we had the perfect day. She answered endless questions and had multiple calls to ensure our every need was met. When our big day came, her husband Michael G. greeted us and reviewed all the details to make sure everything in line.

Mike made sure to bring us multiple plates of cheesesteak egg rolls and shrimp cocktail while we completed our photos around the property. When dinner came, all our guests were quickly served and taken care of. The food was just as amazing as it was during the tasting! I had multiple guests tell me the short rib was the best they've ever had...and we even received compliments on the juicy grilled chicken and penne a la vodka. But the main win overall was the parmesan smashed potatoes, everyone loved them! Lastly, all my mom's friend kept asking for the recipe for the citrus punch, so give it a shot if you're into that sort of thing.

I hope to have an event big enough to enlist Rettew's services again!

The. Best. Caterer. Around. (look no further)

Rettew's Catering is the one and only place you need to look for your wedding catering needs! Everything tasted exactly like the tasting from a year ago. I have heard horror stories about how tastings do not always match the day of the wedding entrees. Many said it was the best dinner and hors d'oeuvres they had ever had. Never cut corners on the food. Cut elsewhere, but not on that! We felt the price we paid was reasonable and the value was excellent. I loved how Michelle worked within our budget. And it is clear that Jennifer (owner) has a passion to provide the best quality of food and flavor .Hats off to Rettew's for an amazing meal AND service (I almost forgot that!) You helped make our daughter's wedding extraordinary!

The Best Potatoes Au Gratin in the World

Rettew's was great to work with. Not only is their food absolutely amazing, but their service Is also unmatched. Their entire staff and team is kind, friendly, and takes care of you.
They are very diligent and quick to return emails, answer any questions, and work with you to make your wedding day one to remember.
Their food is to die for. If you have the chance to eat their potatoes au gratin, you will not regret it.

Best cater, food and customer experience!

Hiring Rettew’s to be our wedding caterer was one of the best vendor decisions that I made during my wedding planning process. From start to finish the customer service, communication, quality of food and overall execution was five stars. Michelle Gruber was so easy to work with and was very understanding when I postponed my wedding a full year due to the pandemic. I then changed my venue, and Michelle worked directly with me and my new venue to get onboarded without a hitch. And then on wedding day, the food was DELICIOUS. My motto is that if you don’t remember the food at someone’s wedding then that’s a good sign. Not the case with Rettew’s! I had multiple guests on the day of and afterwards remark on how delicious their meals were. Apps were also so yummy and their presentation is top notch. With so many important decisions that go into the wedding planning process, I am so thankful for the entire Rettew’s team for their professionalism, quality of product and overall demeanor. The best! Phenomenal food and service!

Rettew’s food at our wedding was absolutely INCREDIBLE! From cocktail hour through dessert, our guests enjoyed every bite. My husband and I are so happy with our decision to book Rettew's for our wedding. The team is professional, organized, super accommodating, and not too much, wonderful chefs!
We received endless compliments on our food, especially our delicious desserts.

Spectacular wedding catering company!

We had a flawless experience with Rettews Catering! Michelle answered every question in a timely fashion, was incredibly thorough each time we spoke, offered amazing advice and made everything we asked for happen without hesitation. Professional, Delicious, and a Pleasure to work with!

My husband and I worked closely with Kristen to coordinate the perfect dining and drinking experience for our autumn wedding. The staff was courteous throughout the planning phase and worked out changes to the menu within weeks of the wedding without any issues. They also helped make special meals for allergy intolerant guests. We highly recommend taking advantage of one of their tasting events, too. Many of our final menu options came from this event. Delicious!

Rettews was the absolute best choice for a wedding caterer we could have made! My husband is a chef so food was very important to us. I emailed Rettews and Michelle was AMAZING. Within days she had sent me a sample menu and the amount of food you get for the price is unreal! Our guests raved about the food all night long and I'm still getting compliments on it. Food that is to die for!

We first heard about Rettew's Catering through our venue. We wanted to customize our menu to food that we love, such has pizza and tacos! Rettew's was able to do that for us for cocktail hour and then include more of our favorites for dinner. We first spoke with Michelle who gave us details about their services and then invited us to a group tasting. The group tasting was something I loved about Rettew's as well. We were able to taste a wide variety of food and desserts before making a definite decision on booking with them. Everyone at the event was so friendly and it actually helped us narrow down selections for food a lot more. Leading up to our wedding day Michelle and Kristen were super helpful and eased our mind with making sure everything would run smoothly and quickly so that we could enjoy our time on the dance floor. The actual day of our wedding was absolutely everything I could dream of and so much more. The food was perfect, the service was perfect, everything ran smoothly, and the staff was just so friendly. Rettew's even sent over a tray of food for my husband and I while we were getting photos done during cocktail hour, as well as drinks from the bar. Something that also stuck with me was that the one bartender came over to introduce himself after the wedding since I did not make it up there a single time to get myself a drink, people were just doing that for me, but I thought that was very sweet of him to go out of his way to introduce himself and congratulate me. All of Rettew's staff is so friendly and amazing, they are sure to make your wedding day perfect! From the food, to the drinks, to the cake, everything was simply amazing. You cannot go wrong with Rettew's.

WOW. Where do I even begin with Rettew’s? If they are not on your list, YOU MUST ADD THEM! From beginning to end Rettew’s was so easy to work with.My husband and I attended a tasting that they hosted and we knew right away that we had to have them at our wedding. All of the food was amazing. Rettew’s provided everything from table linens to bartenders. They took care of a majority of the clean up and everything went so smoothly. Michelle was our contact throughout the whole process and she was quick to answer every question we had. On the day of, the staff was on top of everything. They were constantly checking in on my husband and I, making sure we had food and drinks the whole night. They served us and the bridal party before the guests were able to get up and get food. This was really great because we were able to finish eating before having to mingle with all of our guests. My husband and I didn’t do a first look, so we completely missed our cocktail hour (this was planned). Once we got to our table the staff at Rettew’s made sure we had a plate of everything that was at cocktail hour. From food to service Rettew’s was excellent. We highly recommend them to anyone on the hunt for a caterer.

“Married & Mimosas”

Rettew’s catering did an exceptional job from helping me plan the menu and preparing a high quality delicious brunch with an omelette station, potatoes, bacon, sausage and outstanding French toast soufflé. The staff arrived promptly and were extremely helpful, friendly and competently handled every detail allowing me to enjoy the event completely. So delicious!

Rettew's is a great company. Each employee really takes ownership and pride in the catering experience. Upon trying the food, we knew we had to pick Rettew's. All of our friends and family wiped their plates clean. From the cocktail hour, to the salad, dinner, and dessert, we were extremely happy. They accommodated many different dietary restrictions with ease. They were extremely accessible and responsive to questions, concerns, and needs. Kristen was amazing to work with- she was on top of every detail and really made the whole day perfect.

Everything was amazing.

Rettew's was so accommodating. We were able to look at a list of things they usually make and then change things if we needed or wanted to. The chef even told us he could make our "Gramdma's Chicken" if thats what we wanted for our day.
For dessert, we chose to go with a small cake and cupcakes and we were able to pick from a variety of different flavor combinations.
The night flew by but they made sure we had our own plate of hors d'oeuvres and even made us togo boxes of the main course for us to eat later. Best wedding food ever!

Delicious food, understood our vision, great staff

Rettew’s catered our October 2018 wedding and we are so happy we chose them! We were planning our wedding from out of state and never got to do a tasting but after speaking with Jennifer and Michelle, we felt very confident that it was going to be great. They were so flexible with our menu and incorporated all of the autumnal menu items we wanted. Everything was delicious. We especially loved the butternut squash soup shooter with mini grilled cheese, Mac and cheese bite and the late night pretzels! We also had a baked brie with caramel and nuts at cocktail hour and everyone loved it! We weren’t doing a wedding cake but ended up adding one on very last minute and the team at Rettew’s made it happen even though it was short notice. The service staff was so nice and attentive. If you’re thinking about hiring Rettew’s for your wedding, we can tell you that you won’t regret it!

We had multiple courses on our wedding menu and Rettew's nailed each of them. Each of the dishes were exactly as we wished they’d be—we continue to hear how great the food was from our guest! The biggest callouts from our long menu were: the chicken and waffles, tomato bisque and brisket. DELICIOUS! We worked closely with Michelle and she was fabulous through it all—Jennifer was equally fantastic. We really can’t say enough great things about their level of professionalism, honesty, and how much of a calming force Michelle was on our wedding day. She checked in with us throughout the day and made sure things that I’m sure we might not have even been aware of at the time went smooth. WE LOVED WORKING WITH HER—from start to end! We would choose Rettew's again, tenfold! The food was delicious and the service was perfect. We found the price point was very reasonable for the service and quality of food. Trust me, coming from a NY/NJ girl, their quality of food and service is the way to go for all events in Central PA! For us, pleasing our guests was really at the top of our list of priorities for that day and really any party we throw—they nailed it! I mean when it comes down to it, the things people talk about most after a wedding are how great/bad the food was and how great/bad the music was. Rettew's made our wedding come to life and we couldn’t be more thankful.

Rettew’s Catering is the best! We received so many compliments from our guests during and after our reception about how delicious all of the food was – not to mention the presentation of everything. Michelle was fantastic to work with in planning our menu and answering any questions we had. Rettew’s was also very accommodating in providing a meal for one of our guests with food allergies. One small thing I have to highlight is their format for the tasting. They invite clients to an open house and you are able to taste a ton of different food options. I appreciated this because I feel like you really got a feel for how the food would be prepared on a larger scale, and it was all so delicious! I also have to give them props for the wedding cake they created for us. It was not only beautiful, but also tasted incredible! You can’t go wrong with Rettew’s!

Choosing Rettew’s Catering was one our easiest wedding planning decisions. We sampled catering from multiple catering companies, and no one came close to Rettew’s level of taste, presentation, menu options and price. All of the other catering companies compromised in one or more of those categories. With Rettew’s, the flavors that they established were remarkable. Their presentation was Pinterest worthy. We also had the comfortability of appeasing the tastes of all of our guests, as well as our own, by utilizing their well-balanced and customizable menu options. It was refreshing to make a wedding planning decision that we could be completely confident with. Not to mention the excitement and anticipation we had for our guests to experience Rettew’s creations. Two small details that held a large impact during the day of the wedding: 1) Rettew’s delivered a large sampling of hour ‘devours to us privately while we transitioned between our ceremony and cocktail hour. This allowed us to decompress following the ceremony and to enjoy the awesome hour ‘devours before greeting guests. 2) Since our dinner style was buffet based, Rettew’s personally assembled our two plates and continued to service our food and drink needs for the remainder of the night. This freed up more time for us to conversate with guests, use the dance floor, and relax in the moment. The bar service that they provided was also exceptional. We continue to receive assurance in our decision making through the compliments of friends and family. We highly recommend!

Everything was PERFECT! The food was amazing, the staff was so gracious, the cake was scrumptious and the drinks were amazing. Everything was set up perfectly and the service was outstanding. I received so many compliments from our guests about the food and service. One of my mother's friends who is very picky (and a vegetarian) let her know that the mushroom ravioli was the best vegetarian meal she had ever had at a wedding!

We so appreciate them packing up some leftovers for us as well, we have been enjoying them so much! The team helped make our day so wonderful and we are so thankful to them for it!!

Rettew's Catering did a phenomenal job for our wedding! From the time we called for pricing until the end of the event. It was so easy to work with them and we couldn't have provided our guests with the amount of cocktails that we did if it hadn't have been for Rettews giving us a list of everything we would need and amounts for our total guest list. Everyone raved about the food and the service. As the Bride and Groom we were especially thankful for the appetizers placed on our table for us since we were getting our pictures taken and for the packed meals they gave us after the event in case we didn't get to eat much throughout the event. We ended up taking those on our trip with us the next day and they were just as good warmed up. They even provided the venue owners and staff with complementary meals. In place of a cake we opted for mini tarts to be served and they were fabulous. We just can't express our gratitude, our thankfulness and our satisfaction enough.

I was so pleased with every aspect of Rettew's service. From our initial one-on-one consultation to our group tasting (which my now husband and I made into a date night since we aren't from the area, it was so fun!). The food is PHENOMENAL, I did not dislike one thing. The staff, specially Michelle Gruber, was always responsive, informative and kind via email the whole year+ of planning our wedding. They took in stride complicated signature drinks and provided us with recommendations on all questions asked. When my groom and I got a sneak peak of our reception, I noticed our favor cards did not have the side I wanted facing up. They flipped all 200 cards over for us. We received an ABUNDANCE of compliments throughout the day about the bar staff, the waiting staff and the food. I quote, "Best wedding meal I've ever had" from a guest. The staff were SO accommodating to myself and my husband. The woman (who I believe to be the owner) who was the head point of the day made everything so seamless. As a bride and groom being as busy as we were, we barely ate anything, they reheated our meals at one point and then packed it up along with my parents meals (which were devoured when we could catch our breath back in our hotel). We we're proud with choosing Rettew's and highly recommend to anyone, anywhere they travel to!

We had an amazing experience with Rettew's from start to finish. Jennifer made the process so much fun, and so much easier than I anticipated! With so many options and so many opinions it's easy to get overwhelmed, but Jennifer and her staff worked so hard to hear everything that we wanted and make serious catering dreams come true. We got great feedback from guests about both food and service, and the BEST part was that they found a way to bring my husband's vision of having fresh fried donuts to life! Jennifer's presence on our wedding day was beyond what was expected. She made sure that I had a drink and appetizers during the hustle, and worked really well with our planner and other vendors. She even helped with my bustle :) Our cake made by Rettew's was gorgeous and delicious. Rettew's made everyone so happy, from parents to guests and especially us. Rettew's did an absolutely fabulous job on my October 9th wedding. The entire staff were all so lovely and helpful and made the day so incredibly special, beautiful and delicious. We certainly feel like we made the right choice when we selected our caterers for our wedding at the Booking House in Manheim! It was all classy, elegant, and flawlessly executed.

I thought everything was delicious, but I would especially recommend the cupcakes for dessert. And everyone I spoke with really enjoyed their entree (both the steak and the salmon). I unfortunately didn't get much of a chance to eat the passed appetizers (the hazards of being the bride!) but I heard that the grilled cheese and soup shooters were absolutely delicious.

My husband and I were so extremely grateful to a member of Rettew's staff who came and found us while we were going around to the tables and let us know that she did not want to rush us but that she had just served our dinner and she sweetly and gently urged us to go eat it. I honestly don't know if we would have returned to our table to eat (we were trying to get around to all the tables) but I'm so glad that we did! Also, she found us later in the night and made sure that we had in fact gotten to eat! Also, right after the cocktail party, there was some decor that were on the mantle downstairs and I wanted to move them upstairs so they could be displayed while people were up there. Two ladies from the catering staff happened to be in the room and when I explained what I had in mind, they so happily were willing to help me out and move them upstairs and I was so grateful! It seemed like such a nice supportive group and you really got that feeling throughout the whole night when staff members were always coming up to us to make sure we were happy, which we were!

Also, they took care of the set up and clean up so seamlessly. I didn't have to worry about a thing! If you are getting married at the Booking House, they know that space very well!

Rettew's were amazing! I was arranging my wedding in the States from the UK and Michelle was great with email correspondence - getting back to me quickly and always happy to answer my questions. Then on the actual day of the wedding, Mike and his staff team were great, the food was absolutely delicious (especially the hors d'oeuvres)- we had several guests comment on how tasty everything was. Plus it's an added bonus that they also do the wedding cake so you don't have to go elsewhere for that. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Rettew's was so on point at every step of the process - from first outreach to post-wedding follow-up and everything in between. We were so lucky to have Rettews as our caterer on our wedding day. I have to preface by saying I spent five years working in the catering industry bartending weddings, so my expectations were high. I know how good things can go, and how bad they can end up sometimes. I guess the biggest compliment I can offer is that on the wedding day itself, I never noticed anything that that could be a potential blemish. The food was outstanding (we did buffet), my father came up to me at one point and said, “The food is excellent, everything is excellent!” And my mother came up to me and said how much she loved that “everything was so fresh and healthy.” The beef brisket carving station was a huge hit. The bartenders were great. The staff was friendly, smiling, attentive and on top of everything. The place looked amazing. People loved the appetizers. Honestly, everything exceeded our expectations. Jennifer was amazing to work with during the planning process. She implemented our ideas on the salad and one of the appetizers, even though it wasn’t what they normally do. We attended one of their invited tastings and that was a great way to get a feel for the quality of the food. Honestly they made everything so smooth and easy. I would recommend them to anyone, and if I could go back in time we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

The entire team of Rettew's Catering, Michelle, Jennifer, Cathy, and all of the staff, was more incredible than words can begin to describe throughout the entire wedding planning process. From square one the team was open and communicative about anything I could have ever imagined. Michelle was a excellent resource in talking about all the different options that Rettew's offers and helping us to find the one that was right for us. We very much enjoyed Rettew's coordination and handling of the catering for our recent wedding at the Londonderry Inn. The service was personal, comprehensive, thoughtful, and able to professionally handle both our "big picture" plans, as well as last minute changes. We were very impressed, as were the numerous family and friends in attendance.

It's hard to say which menu item shone above the rest. We really enjoyed the Seafood Newburgh crepes, but we also very much enjoyed the omelet station. Our guests seemed to enjoy everything about the menu, with some telling us about how great the oatmeal was. Right down to the sausage and potatoes, the menu was very well received.

And Michelle from Rettew was there early for set-up and all the way through for us, even so far as to making sure the bride and groom were actually able to enjoy the great food by personally securing omelets and other items for us to eat as we were caught up in the hubbub of the festivities among our guests.

What solidified our choice of Rettew's was the ability and willingness to take on other parts of our event as part of Rettew's total package other than "just the great food", such as coordinating the tent and chairs procurement and arrivals, working with the innkeepers on proper tent size and logistics, and being there during the function making sure thing went
well.

We highly recommend Rettew!

If you want mouth watering food for your wedding, or any event, then you must choose Rettew's! We met with Jennifer and the moment we got into the car we both looked at each other and said that we should just book her, with out meeting any other caterers. And it was a decision we never regretted! Jennifer is so much fun to work with. she is so easy going, helpful, patient, funny and knowledgeable. Jennifer worked with us throughout the entire process and was so flexible. She worked with out budget and with our head count. Rettew's has such a variety of food options that we wanted to choose everything. We got so many compliments about our cocktail hour and the food at the reception. We used Rettew's for our wedding cakes as well, yes cakes. I didnt want a traditional wedding cake so i went with three 8 inch cakes (all different flavors and different icing styles) as well as mini whoopie pies. The cakes were sooooo good and the whoopie pies were amazing. I would absolutely recommend Rettew's if you want stellar food and a great company to work with.

It was so wonderful to have Rettew’s cater our wedding reception! Everyone at Rettew’s Catering is lovely to work with. We originally met with Jennifer to start the planning process, and she also made sure to check in with us on our special day, which meant so much to us. Kristen is absolutely delightful- she was genuinely excited to be a part of our day and made sure all of our catering requests were tended to. She was so helpful throughout the entire menu planning process and our food was DELICIOUS! She was there throughout our entire reception, and we knew that we didn’t have to worry about a thing! We received many compliments on our appetizers and dinner selection. Our dinner was plated and served, and Kristen was especially careful to make sure that our guests with allergies received the correct meal as well, which meant so much to us. I also have to take a second to talk about my favorite part- the DESSERTS! Our cake was absolutely GORGEOUS and exactly what we had pictured. The mini desserts were to die for and they even put together an amazing hot chocolate bar to top off our perfect winter wedding! The waiters were amazingly attentive and the bartenders did such a great job! We truly couldn’t have asked for anything more and we would recommend Rettew’s to anyone looking for a top-notch caterer! Incredible to work with!

We worked with Rettew's for our wedding on 10/17/15 at Harvest View Barns. Everyone was ranting and raving about our food and how great it all turned out, as were we! We decided to go with a small cake topper just for cutting, but did miniature individual pies for our dessert, which were awesome (I unfortunately tried to pack the one flavor I wanted but it somehow didn't make it back with me so I was unable to try the pie I requested :( ). We also ended up going with a s'more bar and mini ice cream cones as a "late night" treat - which everyone loved! Everyone was ranting and raving about our food and how great it all turned out, as were we! For our dinner we went with a sit down and it ran so smoothly and tasted wonderful! Jennifer was great to work with and made all of our big day dreams (as far as food goes anyway!) come true, she was even there for our big day to make sure all ran smoothly. For our cocktail hour we even had a smoker brought in for pulled pork, chicken and brisket sliders. It really added to our whole theme! They also did our linens, which turned out great and I absolutely loved how it all came together! We would recommend Rettew's to anyone who wants to WOW their guests with amazing food!

Jennifer & her team at Rettew's Catering were simply amazing for our Oct 3, 2015 wedding! We had last minute changes due to the forecasted hurricane, unseasonably cold weather, and rain and they accommodated everything graciously. I cannot imagine all of the hard work that happened behind the scenes with turning over the room between the ceremony and reception - but the end result was wonderful!

Jennifer was wonderful and responsive throughout the full planning process and checked in with us throughout the night. She even bustled my dress - that was very unexpected and appreciated!!! Her staff and servers worked so hard and even gave us some words of encouragement throughout the night.

Everything appeared seamless on our side, which enabled us to enjoy the day and our friends and family. We are getting tons of compliments from the guests on the food and desserts!

We are so glad we had Rettew’s cater our wedding. Their food was delicious and we got so many compliments from our guests about how good the food was. Most wedding dinners are okay and most guests expect that, but Rettew’s was different. Their food not only looked good, but it tasted even better. On top of dinner, Rettew’s has the best cupcakes ever. I’m not a cupcake fan, but once I tasted Rettew’s I knew that we would have cupcakes for our guests. The staff at Rettew’s were so nice and responded to all of our questions quickly. They were such a pleasure to work with. If we have any catering needs in the future, Rettew’s will definitely be the first and only call. And it should be yours as well. Don’t waste your time with any other cater.

We used Rettew's Catering for our 9/5/15 wedding at Pheasant Run Farm BB in Lancaster PA, and they were wonderful for our served meal event. I was absolutely terrified of booking a caterer because of how pricey it can get - and many, many places require a high guest count minimum before they even consider your event. My smallish 65 guest count wedding fit in perfectly with Rettew's and they were very accommodating. And did I mention we needed Rettew's for everything from plates, glasses, silverware, linens, and more. They were extremely responsive to emails (many, many emails) and answered questions from how high champagne flutes are filled, changing linen choices several times, and also finding out important information from the bride & groom. They also have AMAZING tasting events with tons of food, desserts, and everything in between for you to choose from for your own wedding. AND IT IS FREE. Michelle Gruber was amazing and patient throughout our seemingly endless email chain, and her husband Michael Gruber made sure to introduce himself at the wedding & asked us if we needed anything specific throughout the evening. They were very much so on top of timelines, cleaning at the end of the night, and bartending. If you're on a budget, but don't want to sacrifice quality - linens - a gorgeous cake - service, Rettew's is for you!

We highly recommend Rettew's Catering for your special day! From day one, this company was professional, timely, and took all of our ideas and helped us pull off the perfect wedding day! We had the opportunity to work with Michelle throughout our planning process and the day of our event. She lead a fantastic team who made everyone of our guest feel special and enjoy themselves at our wedding. Leading up to our event we attended an open house at Rettew's Catering, and were able to try many delicious hors d'oeuvres, and entrees to help decide on our menu. All of their food was fantastic, but we ended up going with a beef, chicken and portabella mushroom offer as plated meals. We had the steak and it was tender, and cooked perfectly. All of our guest continue to rave about their meals and service throughout the night from the bartenders to the servers at their tables. I would highly recommend Rettews to anyone! They made our night even that much better!!
One of my favorite things, was, since we were so busy with the cocktail hour, putting a sampling of appetizers on our table, so we could taste them was wonderful! We asked to have our salads and meals at the same time, and they did :) Not one detail was missed. We felt very taken care of the entire night. My drink was never empty, the one time I walked to the bar, I was taken care of before I even realized.
And the cake was GORGEOUS!!

Rettews did my daughter's wedding this weekend. From the moment we met with Jennifer our experience has been wonderful. The staff have been such a pleasure to work with and we always were made to feel we were the only wedding in 2014!
Kristen was our event coordinator, she made all the planning a breeze. She made the evening flow so smoothly from beginning to end and no request was too much of a bother. It was comforting knowing we were in such capable hands.

All the staff was so professional, the man that had the bridal table and my husbands table was a gem. He could not do enough for us and was fun to interact with. My son thought he was a hoot!

The bartender mixed a wonderful signature drink and bless his heart never sat down the whole night even when no one was around him.

Every morsel of food and all the tables and presentations were fantastic. Rettews made my daughter's wedding a perfect night.

We had such an amazing time at our wedding and in huge part to the service and food from Rettew's!

Yummm.....so many good things. The braised short ribs and mashed potatoes were our favorites. We loved the spicy cornbread cups with pork as well! All of it was so good and the cake was just beautiful!! The fact that we had 180 people for a seated dinner could have been intimidating, but Rettew's handled it perfectly and the food was fantastic all around!

Michelle served as our initial contact and was a complete joy to work with! Michelle always got back to me so quickly and was very willing to work with our budget and changing menu plans. Kristen was our day-of contact and was also just wonderful. Our personal butler/server was Tracey and she always made sure we had what we needed and brought us wine and food during our photos which made that much more bearable!

We decided to go with Rettew's after almost going with another local caterer. Rettew's offered more for our money and honestly, a more interesting menu. Their open house was spectacular and really sold us. We are so thankful for Rettew's doing such a great job on making our day so special!

Rettew's service and food went above and beyond our expectations. Michelle has been helping us for the past 10 months to determine what kind of food we could have, giving suggestions on popular dishes and staying within our budget. The team that ran our wedding were unbelievably nice and calm despite having to serve 120 guests! The head caterer that day was amazing - she brought us appetizers as soon as our ceremony had ended (while we were getting our family photos!) and made sure to make us THREE wonderful and heaping plates of food which she brought to our head table. Our guests have been raving about the food at our wedding and it was even better than what we'd remembered at our tasting. Our cake and desserts were delicious as well and we luckily brought home our topper to enjoy now, as Rettew's will make us a new one for our one year anniversary! Everything was perfect and I hope we get to use Rettew's for a future event.

Rettew's Catering did a fantastic job for my wedding reception, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience with them. I was married May, 2014 and had to plan my Lancaster, PA wedding from Ohio. Jennifer worked diligently to ensure the distance would not be a problem for planning. We exchanged emails and phone calls to keep our catering plans updated, and any change I threw her way was handled with professionalism. My wedding day was perfect, and I contribute that largely to the staff at Rettew's; my food was delicious, I was served appetizers during my wedding photo hour (between ceremony and reception), and I felt pampered and carefree the day of my wedding. The members of the staff went out of their way to make sure my guests and I had a truly lovely evening.

I cannot say enough about Rettew's. I probably emailed Michelle, from Rettew's 50 times throughout the year before my wedding. She answered ALL of my questions, promptly and patiently. Rettew's took care of so many details for the wedding. We had a special pretzel delivery late into the reception- she met the delivery person, got the pretzels and had them placed on the dessert table for us. They provided a beverage urn at the last minute. They offered to mix our signature drinks, refill the pies that we provided, and cut the cake that we made ourselves free of charge!!! They were INCREDIBLY helpful the day of the wedding. Servers continuously came to our sweetheart table to ask us if we needed anything. They brought us food even though there was a buffet! They reserved a table of appetizers for us when we were off taking pictures!! WE WERE SO HAPPY. Michelle also sent us layout suggestions for the tables at our reception. Anyway they could help- they did. They are incredible. You cannot go wrong with Rettews!!

Rettew Catering Services were phenomenal for our wedding! My husband and I met Jennifer approximately one year prior to our wedding. She was professional, super helpful, down to earth and very personal. Not only did she take the time to get to know us, she took a strong interest in helping us attain our dream wedding. Our selling point for choosing their services: they were one of the only caterers who would accommodate our wish to have a pig roast but to have the pig on the spit, at the venue and carve it there. We had so many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food tasted. The wait staff were exceptionally accommodating and very friendly. It was also awesome that we were to be able to have Rettew's assist with all of our rental needs as well. I have nothing bad to say about their services!!! Exceptional!! Delicious!!! Friendly!!! We had nothing but great experiences with Rettew's. The head table waiter was very sweet and efficient. We give him a thumbs up! Rettew's went the extra mile for our wedding with a dessert table setup, vase setup for our tables, and coffee station set up. I noticed that they found a random blue tablecloth and table because I totally forgot to set up a coffee table! I never would have known there was a problem. A lovely waitress came to find the wedding party during our pre-reception pictures with a food tray and drinks-- very refreshing and thoughtful! Their communication pre-wedding and even during the wedding was excellent. When selecting the food for our wedding, Jennifer worked with us to create a brand-new menu item: a Mediterranian Pasta dish with shrimp: I can’t rave about this pasta dish enough. DELICIOUS!

Hiring a caterer is always difficult. So many people have said to me, "Your food will never taste the way it did for the tasting." By hiring Rettew's, they were wrong.

We had a rather large menu at our wedding and throughout the evening, we kept receiving compliments left and right. People complimented the gourmet cheeses and antipasti display. They stated that the beef was cooked to perfection. As I ate my meal, I was pleased in finding that everything was not only delicious but running smoothly. The waiters were very professional and attentive to each table, not just the bride and grooms. This was very important to my husband and I. While food and waitstaff were at our expectations, our maitre'd Michelle was above our expectations.

My husband and I worked with Michelle and she was incredible. As the wedding became closer and closer, I must have called Michelle a hundred times, leaving messages and changing components of the menu or adding guests. She was so accommodating and considerate of our needs. She would always return a call that same day or the next. On the day of the wedding, she was always present and popped in once or twice to see if my husband and I were pleased. A big reason that the catering went so smoothly is because of her. When you call for your tasting, be sure to ask for Michelle.

We hired Rettew's for my daughter's wedding on June 29, 2013. Working with Michelle at Rettew's was a pleasure. She responded quickly to every question that came up, and there were many! She was professional and well organized from the very first meeting. On the day of the wedding, the servers were also very professional. The looked nice, and they did a great job of getting things done without being noticed. We got many compliments about the food. I thought the cocktail hour food was fantastic! I had asked ahead to be sure the champagne was poured at 5:30, and sure enough, it was done as planned. I would highly recommend Rettew's to anyone planning an event in the central PA area. They were great!! Super flexible! I changed up what I wanted so many times even during the last month. They were very professional and helpful and kind on the day of too! Great gourmet options as well. I wanted something other than the standard Lancaster County dutch food and they provided many options :)

I used Rettew's catering for my son's Bar Mitzvah party and was thrilled with my choice. This type of event is challenging because you really need to please both adults and teens. Other caterers referred me immediately to their websites but Jen talked to me first about my vision for the event and then made suggestions. (She also has a great website). In addition to delicious food, the presentation and details were fantastic. I wanted kid friendly selections with a more upscale edge. My son LOVES tomato soup. Jen suggested tomato soup shooters with a little floating grilled cheese sandwich. He loves burgers. Jen made mini sliders. My daughter (a vegetarian) loves vegetable fried rice. Jen served it in little chinese take-out containers. My son wanted a blizzard/milkshake bar. Jen got a milkshake machine. I had guests who were vegetarian, diabetic and gluten sensitive. Jen accomodated all of those special dietary needs and spoke directly with the mom of the child with gluten sensitivity to make sure there were adequate options for her child and to answer any questions. My guests raved about the food. We laughed because the comments came in this order: The tenderloin was incredible. Your son did a great job! It was a pleasure to work with Jen and her team.

I can't even begin to express how pleased we were with Rettew's. They were voted the #1 caterer in Lancaster, PA for a reason! :)

We heard from so many pf our guests that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Some even said that it didn't taste like "wedding food" at all. We had a seated meal and guests could choose from filet mignon, crab cake, or porcini mushroom ravioli. My husband doesn't eat mushrooms, but wanted to try my ravioli and he loved it! A few of my coworkers said that they were "stalking" one of the servers because she was carrying the prosciutto wrapped scallops during cocktail hour...they were obsessed! :)

What was most impressive is that we had our reception at the Yellow Barn at Landis Valley and it has no kitchen. They were working with minimal, very rustic facilities, but managed to make the plates and the food look like it was being served in a very nice restaurant.

Jennifer and Michelle are amazing to work with. They are kind, understanding, and very professional.

The only small snafu had to do with our table numbers. The numbers were supposed to be attached to centerpieces brought by the florist to the reception, and a staff member from Rettew's said that they would take care of it, but they were not attached. It wasn't a big deal at all because the numbers were still visible on the table, but that was the only miscommunication that we experienced on the day of the wedding. In fact, it was the only thing that "went wrong" on our day! In the grand scheme of things, I'd say that's pretty good.

I would absolutely, positively recommend Rettew's Catering to anyone. They were amazing!

Rettew's is fabulous! Delicious food and wonderful service was provided at our wedding. Our guests raved about it for weeks afterwards. It's a nice family-run business with a lot of class.

My husband and I both throughly enjoyed working with Rettew's every step of the way. We booked Rettew's over a year in advanced (don't think this is a must), this was our preference. They were quick to respond to all my questions and the food tasted amazing! A special shout out to Michelle - thanks for making our wedding reception run smoothly, it was a true pleasure to work with you and the rest of Rettew's staff :)

We worked with Rettew's for our wedding on 9/2/12 at Landis Valley Museum. We did a buffet and the food was fantastic. When we had signed up for Landis Valley we were a bit worried as they do not have a kitchen on-site so caterer's have to work out of trucks. But Rettew's was able to go beyond our expectations and offer really excellent food and great service. Jennifer (owner) assisted us in the selection process to be sure all of our wants and desires were captured while helping us stay within budget for a 200 person wedding. She was there the day of the event to make sure everything was perfect and her and her staff went above and beyond in catering our day. In selecting Rettew's you get great food and great service and we highly recommend them.

Rettew's Catering was great! Our food was delicious. We were very impressed when we went to sample our food selections at Rettew's and the Chef stopped in and asked how we liked the food and if we would like to change anything. Jennifer was amazing to work with and she is very organized. She has a lot of knowledge and is willing to help with the little details and the big details. Overall very impressed with our service with Rettew's and would definitely recommend them to everyone!!
