René shot our wedding in Lake Placid, NY at the end of September and was absolutely amazing! She is so great to work with and we had fun the whole time. The pictures came out beyond amazing and were more than we could have imagined. After being in a friends wedding who had used René a couple years ago and hearing she was relocating to New Jersey I knew right away that I wanted René for my wedding. If you’re looking for someone to capture every moment of your special day in the the New Jersey/ New York area René is your person!

If you are looking for a photographer with not only a great eye that captures incredible photos but someone who is actually fun to be around, then Rene is your girl! She made every part of our experience so much fun which can be very difficult when trying to look at each other lovingly over and over again. I recommend her to everyone I know and will continue to do so. What an incredible photographer and person, anyone would be lucky to work with her.

Rene was amazing! She was so flexible and full of ideas. She made my husband and I feel comfortable during the pictures and created some beautiful memories! I can't say enough about how wonderful she was!

Rene was amazing! She was with us the whole day and took over a thousand pictures! My husband and I are not used to taking pictures but Rene made us feel comfortable and gave us excellent directions. The pictures turned out better than I could have hoped! Rene was friendly and professional, able to wrangle all the groomsmen and even the extended families. She was also very responsive to emails and always available for a phone call to discuss details. After seeing Rene shoot my friends wedding, I knew I had to have her as my photographer and even flew her out to Seattle for my wedding. I would highly recommend Rene!

Rene was out of this world amazing.

Her professionalism and vision are unmatched. I have worked with many photographers before and she outshines them all in both her artistic talent and professional demeanor. Bottom line, she delivers stunning pictures and caters to the needs of her client, which was exactly what we wanted.

Before the event, she was incredibly prompt with responses over email about what shots we wanted, our vision for the timeline of the wedding and any concerns we had. Her experienced showed here and guided us to many questions/answers that we had never thought of. We felt connected and informed for the entire year before our wedding...something that wasn't the case with most of our other vendors.

At our event, she arrived early, was ready to take pictures right away, had a vision for what she was looking for with each shot and made the entire pictures process seemless and friendly. It can be incredibly stressful to deal with lots of extended family waiting around for their picture, but Rene handled it very well and made sure we got all of the shots we needed as efficiently as possible so we could get to party time.

Her shots of us and that night were stunning and I would highly recommend her. After receiving the image CDs in a beautifully displayed leather case with a touching personal note, I knew we had chosen the right person. From the first meeting until a month after the ceremony when our pictures were delivered, she went above and beyond what a photographer needs to do, delivering incredible results. And it doesn't hurt that she is a fun, friendly and approachable person to boot! I would use her again in an instant.

We cannot say enough about how amazing our experience with Rene was. She was extremely personal, professional, talented, and fun! Our pictures for both our engagement photo shoot and wedding came out perfect, everything we could have asked. From this minute she showed up on our wedding to the end of our reception she was on the move. My whole family even noticed how she was "everywhere" and working super hard. She also gave use a 6-8 week turn around time frame and I received my photos within 6 weeks. She is also very easy to contact and communicate with before the event and after. Like I said, she is amazing and I highly recommended her, I can only hope I have future reasons to work with her again!

Rene was wonderful to work with. The pictures are gorgeous!!! She was easy to work with, caught the most memorable moments and candid photos alike. She worked her tail off the day of the wedding for many hours and the photos prove it. I would highly recommend Rene Atchison Photography- we will be using her again for our next daughters wedding.

Rene was wonderful to work with, she was very flexible and willing to do all the pictures we asked for. She did engagement photos for us in the dead of winter on a freezing windy day and somehow got amazing pictures. I emailed her a list of photos I wanted for our wedding and she got every single one! She was very professional and made it easy and fun to take pictures even on a day that can be very overwhelming. Her pictures came out beautiful and we have hundreds of great pictures to choose from. I do not like to have my picture taken, and I really do not like "posing" or anything like that. Rene has a way about her where she made me feel like we were just hanging out and she happened to be taking pictures of my fiancee (free engagement photo session) and I. We do not have a lot of pictures of the non-selfie kind of us, so it was very nice to have some professional photos to add to our wedding website and albums. Then she brought two assistants to our wedding. They did a fantastic job of not bothering the guests but always being where there was a good photo opportunity. Rene was very patient in her taking of pictures, and she got some amazing shots of our wedding day. She gave us multiple copies of the photos on discs in very nice packages for each of our parent sets and us. She also has a website where she will post all of the photos for anybody who knows your event code to see or purchase them. She gave us the rights to all of our wedding photos, which was very nice. She takes amazing photos, and we wish we could give her a 5+. Great value and unbelievable service. Her assistants were nice, too. They spent most of the day with us, and we were glad to have them around.

Rene is an amazing photographer and person. She shot our engagement and wedding photos. She shot our engagement for free (we only have to pay for whatever pictures we chose) and it gave us a great chance to get to know each other. They were the most beautiful photos we've ever had taken. We were married in Beaver Creek - she knew the perfect shots, angles, and light and was extremely efficient, professional, and easy to relate to.

We set our wedding date in January and had four months until the wedding date. Because of that time frame, we had to prioritize our top 'needs and wants' for the wedding. Our top 'need' was a good photographer--however, we really only needed a photographer for a few hours and then wanted to focus on being with our family and friends, so we didn't really need the 'all day, super expensive package'. A friend recommended Rene and after 5 minutes on the phone with her I knew that of all the things we'd worry about leading up to the wedding, the photography would not be one of them. She's calm, happy, firm, extremely capable and can find these naturally beautiful moments that MAKE your wedding album. I have the posed 'framer' photos but also so many sweet moments between not only my husband and I but our parents, siblings, family, friends...we had her for MAYBE three hours and she gave us hundreds of incredible photos. Did I mention that I had the flu during my wedding? And yet her photos captured the joy of the day and the love between us, our family and our friends and not once my red nose or pale face. Oh, and we were married in a tiny, historic church with a wood stove in the middle of the room and she was able to either feature it or carefully photograph around it. Let me summarize: Bride had the flu, church was historic and really tricky to work with, photographer had a few short hours to get all the photos taken--and the photos were flawless. I can't recommend her enough and the next time I need a photographer I won't be settling for anyone but her.

We were very pleased with Rene as our photographer for our September, 2012 wedding. Rene went above and beyond all expectations and left a wonderful impression on us as well as our wedding party.

We live in Colorado but were married in California. Rene was willing to travel, flexible on her accommodations, and her prices were very reasonable. She helped us feel comfortable and made posing for the pictures a lot of fun. Rene gave useful direction accompanied by the utmost patience, and kept her energy and focus throughout a very long and hot day.

Rene shot impressively in mid-day sun and shade, indoors, and at the beach at sunset. Rene can customize the photography package to suit your needs; we did a digital-only package including copyright so that we could reprint the pictures however and whenever we like. Rene spent many hours editing our pictures and produced truly gorgeous images. When she was done, Rene gave us several beautiful, professionally-produced sets of DVDs containing our pictures at full quality. She also made the full-quality versions available to us on her website. I appreciated the fact that the DVDs contained every image Rene shot, even the ones that some photographers would have thrown-out (i.e. eyes closed, people walking into the picture, etc.) Even when a picture doesn't turn out perfectly, it can help you remember a moment that could be quite special, and remind you of all the little details that fade from your memory with time. As a gift, Rene also gave us a beautiful 12x18 color print which she made in her lab of one of our favorite pictures, so we know that her print packages are equally stunning.

Wedding days can be a bit chaotic and fly by like a blur. In the middle of this it is a welcome relief to have a professional like Rene who knows exactly how to deal with every situation, keep things moving, and give you memories that perfectly capture and help you relive the magic of your big day.

Rene was very professional and easy to work with. Her pictures were beautiful and she did a wonderful job capturing our day. Not only was she creative in how she posed us, and how she took the pictures, but they were also presented to us in a very professional and creative way. Rene' is a very talented photographer and so much fun! we had beautiful photos and she rolled with us to get what we wanted while also making recommendations and using her artful eye to get us amazing pictures we would have missed out on. Rene was great! We both have huge families so it is always quite the ordeal to get a family picture and Rene had us set into place (even the little kids!) and pictures taken so quick and they turned out phenomonal! It was really fun to work with Rene for all of our shots because she makes you feel very comfortable and had really good ideas for unique shots. Some of my favorite shots were ones where all the wedding party was laughing with her. I've been in plenty of wedding where the photographer seemed to be a nuissance and pushy and Rene just felt like we had another friend at the wedding! I would definitely recommend anyone use Rene!

Rene provided absolutely top notch photography for my daughter's wedding. She and her assistant captured all the important moments of the event as well as the overall flavor of the evening without becoming intrusive or obstructing the flow of the wedding and reception. Her delivery method for the finished photographs was excellent and, most importantly, everyone who has seen the pictures has commented on what a sensitive and creative photographer we had. I love looking at the photos again and again and I give Rene my highest recommendation.

Rene was extremely professional and kept in constant contact with me. I never felt uncomfortable with her commitment or her services. Her photography services were a great value and she performed exactly as I expected and what we had agreed to. Her pictures were beautiful and we had many shots to choose from. We used Rene for our wedding this summer and could not have been happier with our choice! First and foremost the value of her service is essentially unheard of! She did not force us into a package for our wedding that was going to charge us an arm and a leg for a bunch of stuff we did not want, instead she worked with us to determine what we wanted and built her price from that. She is incredibly professional and really trys to get a sense of who the couple is and what they want. The result of all her attention and time to discovering the couple's wants results in some really amazing and creative pictures.

René understood the importance of our wedding day and the emotions that go along with a wedding. We didn't feel like we were on display or fake. She let us experience the moments while she captured the meaning behind them. She has the talent to make "nervousness" look beautiful, and the timing to capture "love" in a quiet moment.

Rene did a great job photographing our daughter's wedding. She was easy to work with. She worked hard with lots of energy and seemed to be in the right place to capture the moment. She was relaxed, not in a rush and made us feel like she enjoyed being a part of our daughter's wedding. We would highly recommend her.

Rene was a great photographer for us. We were a young couple, low on dough and she was very helpful and worked out payments with us. She was always on time and flexible when and where she was able to work. She took wonderful pictures. The pictures she took at our wedding were the greatest asset of all of our investments. She is a very nice person and we highly recommend her to anyone.

Rene took some amazing pictures for our wedding day, and some of them were silly and fun poses that we never would have thought of! She was very easy to work with, and made our day much easier, knowing that we didn't have to worry about the pictures. I loved the work Rene did for us! I had used her once before my wedding and I thought she did she an amazing job that I knew I didn't want to have anyone else do my wedding photos!
