It's hard to put into words how much Renaissance Orchestra did to elevate our August 2024 wedding and make sure everyone had a blast! Phaedra is exceptionally responsive and professional and the whole band did a great job accommodating our requests and preferences. We had people of all ages on the dance floor all night, and guests still tell us that Renaissance was the best wedding band they've ever seen. It makes such a difference that they play the entire reception without breaks to keep the energy high. Not to mention how fun the second line exit was!!!! If you care about great music & guest experience, book Renaissance! -

Thank you to the Renaissance Orchestra! My wedding in May 2024 was a dream come true and the dance floor was filled. My friends still have not stopped talking about THE BAND! The Renaissance team also performed at my sister’s wedding 5 years prior. We loved them so much, we decided to book again.
They did not disappoint! My father who first found the band for my sister’s wedding, says what a compliment to allow one band to perform not only at ONE of my daughters’ weddings, but TWO!
We cannot say more good things about The Renaissance team and Phaedra. The entire band is amazing, and Phaedra gives you individualized treatment. She has excellent recommendations about timeline and songs! A lot of other companies have multiple people, and you might not know who will show up day of, but this is always the same team, and you know who you are getting. they are all FANTASTIC!
My wedding would not have been as amazing without hiring this band. We wish we could get married again to just dance the night away with the Renaissance Orchestra!

I have been to many weddings and outstanding events. i am not being partial when I say your performance and how you were present the whole day from beginning to end. You went way beyond any expectations we could have her envisioned for this day. Sami and Todd's desire/wish was for the dance floor to be filled throughout the entire evening. As I looked at the wedding video again yesterday there dream happened on this magical day. It was the result of your hard work and interaction and also understanding exactly what they wished for. You met every wish that had and even beyond. If someone wants a wedding that is perfect from beginning to end with perfect musical artists who care and put themselves into the event they need to have you at their event.
Thank you for understanding how busy they nothings are as Todd has been deployed to Japan and Sami is working incredible hours in her residency. -

Our wedding and reception were elevated to an unforgettable celebration by the exceptional performance of The Renaissance Orchestra. With their unparalleled energy, versatility, and sheer talent, they brought a level of sophistication and joy to each segment of our special day from ceremony, to cocktail hour, and reception; making every moment shine with musical excellence.
As our guests took their seats in the Magnolia Room, the atmosphere was already charged with emotion and anticipation. The trio of piano, acoustic guitar, and flute created a soundscape that was both elegant and ethereal, perfectly complementing the solemnity of the moment. Each note of their prelude music floated through the room, setting a calm and serene tone before the ceremony began.
Their rendition of Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1, Handel’s Air from Water Music Suite, and Pachelbel’s Canon in D were fantastic, striking a delicate balance of warmth and grandeur. As the bridal party walked down the aisle, the acoustic guitar and flute wove together harmoniously, creating a soft yet distinct accompaniment that highlighted the moment. For the bride’s entrance, the piano took the lead, delivering a powerful and emotional performance supported by the flute and acoustic guitar.
The recessional, Mendelssohn’s Wedding March, was a triumphant burst of joy, with an uplifting arrangement that had every guest smiling and clapping as we exited the room as newlyweds.
As guests transitioned to the Azalea Room for cocktail hour, they seamlessly shifted their tone to match the lighter, more social atmosphere. Their trio, now featuring an electric guitar, saxophone, and Baby Grand Piano, provided an upbeat yet refined soundtrack to the evening. The musicians effortlessly blended genres, moving from smooth jazz to modern classics, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The saxophone became a standout element, weaving soulful, expressive melodies that danced through the room. Meanwhile, the electric guitar added a contemporary edge, and the piano provided a rich, rhythmic foundation. Together, they elevated the ambiance, making casual conversations feel lively and vibrant. The music was never too loud to impede conversations but always present enough to enhance the mood.
The transition between cocktail hour and dinner was handled flawlessly. As the final notes of their cocktail set played, the energy in the room began to build, signaling to our guests that the evening was about to take an even more exciting turn.
The Grand Savannah Ballroom came alive with the energy of The Renaissance Orchestra as they took the stage with their full 11-member ensemble. From the moment we entered for our grand entrance, the band commanded the room with a dynamic performance that set the atmosphere for an unforgettable night. Their arrangement of our entrance music was powerful and celebratory, perfectly timed.
Throughout dinner, the band showcased their versatility by performing a mix of soft ballads and classics standard hits. The music provided a warm, inviting backdrop, allowing guests to enjoy their meals while still feeling connected to the celebration.
Once the dance floor opened, the band truly came alive. Their ability to read the crowd was unmatched, effortlessly transitioning between genres to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed. Hits from every decade were performed with enthusiasm and precision, ensuring that guests of all ages felt included. The vocalists engaged with the audience, creating interactive moments that brought everyone together.

The horns section added a vibrant, big-band feel to many songs, and their polished brass sound gave the evening a touch of classic sophistication, especially during Africa and September. The rhythm section provided an unshakable foundation, driving the music forward with energy and precision. Each vocalist brought their own unique style and flair, ensuring every song felt fresh and dynamic.
The band’s performance was perfectly synchronized with the lighting and special effects, creating a multi-sensory experience that heightened the energy in the room. As the evening progressed, the music only grew more exciting, with each set building on the last to create a crescendo of celebration.
The perfect close to an extraordinary day came in the form of a New Orleans-style send-off. Just as the final notes of the reception faded, The Renaissance Orchestra transitioned into a mobile acoustic ensemble, leading our guests in a jubilant procession out of the Grand Savannah Ballroom and onto the front steps of the venue.
The lively sound of their horns, percussion, and acoustic melodies filled the night air as we made our way to the waiting limo. Guests followed, clapping and dancing, fully immersed in the celebratory energy of the moment. It was more than just an exit, it was a transformative experience, a magnificent culmination of everything the day had represented.
This send-off was the perfect blend of elegance and fun, leaving our guests filled with excitement and ensuring that the evening ended on an unforgettable high note.

We can’t say enough good things about Renaissance Orchestra! We loved the band’s energy and musicality – it is very rare to see a wedding band this good at matching so many different styles of music and different singers. Phaedra was wonderful to work with throughout the process, including traveling all the way to our home to talk through our plans and to go over the song list well in advance of the wedding. The whole band brought a level of professionalism that we really appreciated, down to the specific attention they paid to the acoustics in the ballroom. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the band was, and the dance party was something we’ll remember forever. Hiring Renaissance was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we can’t recommend them highly enough. -

If you're looking to dance...this is the band for you!!
The Renaissance Orchestra was the best money we could have spent for our wedding!! It was important to us to show our guests a great time and we were looking for a band that could keep the dance floor full all night long...The Renaissance Orchestra was recommended to us by our wedding planner (Taylor at Spruce Events) and they were everything and more!!! They MADE the party and guests are still raving about them. If live music is important to you, I would not look any further.

Rennaissance Orchestra MADE our wedding. Their talent, professionalism, and commitment to bringing the party is unparalleled. We love to dance, so an exceptional band was one of our top priorities for our wedding day. We chose Rennaissance Orchestra for several reasons up front: 1) they are a UNIT - meaning, they do not have band members rotating in and out. They are always the same group performing together, and this was extremely important to us. 2) They are incredibly professional and committed to delivering the best performance - despite being a Philadelphia-based band, they agreed to perform in Pittsburgh for our wedding. 4 months in advance, they traveled 5 hours each way to come see the venue, get a sense for the acoustics, and make a logistic plan for their equipment. We made a detailed timeline together, based on our preferences and their recommendations. When the found out our after party was two blocks away - they offered to do a second line for us! 3) Their setlist is incredibly comprehensive, with everything from Frank Sinatra and the Four Seasons to Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa. They also learned 3 new songs for us and (knocked them out of the park).
Fast forward to the wedding day, the dance floor was packed the entire night. The talent of this group is out of this world. They read the energy of the crowd and kept building on it. The vocalists are absolutely incredible. A consistent comment we heard that night was "this is the best wedding band I've ever witnessed" and "your band is unreal". To top it off we had a second line down the street to our after party, which felt like something straight out of a movie.
They are worth every single penny and frankly a whole lot more. Thank you Rennaissance Orchestra, you truly blew us away and gave us the wedding of our dreams! -

As a fellow vendor, I work with many bands. Many are talented but few hit the high levels of both performance and SERVICE that The Renaissance Orchestra did for our mutual clients and their guests at The Inn at Barley Sheaf last month. Phaedra was quick to respond to my team's emails and coordination attempts and her level of service to the clients on the day was second to none. She was attentive and caring. The entire band interacted with the crowd all night and an amazing celebration was had by all. After all that, I would add that they were also KIND individuals who ensured I got the shots I needed as the photographer all night and skilled performers who came together to share in the experience of the wedding day with all in attendance. I would highly suggest hiring them for your big day! -

Best wedding band OF ALL TIME!!
Renaissance Orchestra is the absolute best band on the face of the earth. My family has known Phaedra and the band for over a decade now, and when it came time to start planning my wedding - we reached out to them first even before venues to get a sense of their dates. It was the easiest and best decision we made in the wedding planning process. Phaedra is a brilliant and kind communicator and went above and beyond for us the day of the wedding. I was having some stage freight before our first dance and she stood outside on the porch with me and had me practice the dance, which immediately put me at ease. The dance floor was JAM
PACKED the entire night and we had a mixed crowd of our friends, our parents friends, and grandparents / their friends as well. Their repertoire is really extensive, and they even learned a few pop punk songs for us too. They freaking rocked it. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Renaissance!! They did continuous music for us, and at one point during the dinner, there was just the most beautiful version of an Adele song on the piano that several people told me it made them cry happy tears.
Our wedding was recently featured in Town & Country magazine, and it was super important to me to make sure they were mentioned.

Renaissance Orchestra exceeded all of our entertainment expectations and made our wedding a night we will never forget. We had a backyard wedding, which was tricky to plan logistically but Phaedra (band manager) was so prompt to respond to my emails and troubleshoot any issues that arose. She really made me feel at ease because of her professionalism and knowledge. This band is so killer and they created the most unbelievably fun party experience we could have asked for. The musicians are incredibly talented!! My husband and I, along with our guests, truly had the night of our lives and that was in huge part to Renaissance Orchestra. They are a 10/10 and I would hire them again in a heartbeat! -

This is the best wedding band in the world. You may think that’s an exaggeration but I can assure you it’s not. We saw this band perform at 2 of our friends’ weddings and knew we absolutely had to have them at ours. They were literally one of the first vendors we booked.
And they made our wedding. Our guests are still talking about how incredible the band was and how our wedding was the dance party of the year. People literally never left the dance floor!
Also, Phaedra and Leon are the nicest, easiest people to work with. They’re worth every penny! -

We cannot say it enough - we are SOLD-OUT for the Renaissance Orchestra. We have guests who still can’t stop talking about how great the live music and dancing was on our wedding day. Our dance floor was packed all night, and were so delighted that the Renaissance Orch managed to get our friends/family out on the dance floor who normally are too shy! As a musician myself, they even went the extra mile and let me sing a song with them as a surprise for our guests! It’s a moment we still smile about. We are so grateful to Phaedra and her team for making our dreams come true for the lively, joyful environment we wanted to create during our reception - they were easy to communicate with, quick to respond, and helped us navigate seamlessly through a tough season of having to postpone/reschedule due to COVID. We now arrive at every wedding of our friends and family hoping that they’ve booked this band so we can jam all over with them again. We were referred to Renaissance by a fried of the family who said this was the best band they had ever heard at a wedding and they were right! The dance floor was packed all night because they do not take a break! All of the singer's were phenomenal and Phaedra, the band manager, made sure everything flowed smoothly from start to finish. Everything we wanted
Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is stressful, to say the least. I needed a lot of hand holding and Phaedra was there for me through the whole process. The band was PHENOMENAL from ceremony until the last song of the night! Although the party looked a little different that we originally planned, the music and the dancing were everything we wanted and more! We would do it all over again if we could and can't wait until we get to see Renaissance Orchestra again in the future. -

Renaissance Orchestra was absolutely amazing for my wedding, in so many ways. My (now) husband and I looked at A LOT of bands before making a decision because we both knew having excellent music would be one of the most important elements of our wedding. We were blown away by the versatility and talent of Renaissance Orchestra. At first we thought 10 pieces was too large of a band size for us and our venue space, but I confirmed that they would fit our stage and it was SO very much worth it to hire them with that many band members. They can play such a wide range of music and genres. They have numerous members who sing, so the songs sounded just like the original artists. Having a band that could play Bruce Springsteen well was really important for us, for example, and they nailed Tenth Avenue Freeze Out (which was 1 of the 3 songs we asked them to learn for us... Which they offer at no extra cost!)!!
Phaedra, the band manager and emcee, is extremely responsive (responds faster than any other vendor I’ve spoken with and she gave me a heads up when she was going on vacation for a few days). She really helped me plan the evening and timing well in coordination with my venue’s day of manager.
We hired them for the reception, cocktail hour and ceremony (piano and flute). They really were amazing and we got so many compliments from our guests who were beyond impressed. They kept our guests on the dance floor throughout the night, even some family members that we wouldn’t have expected to be up and dancing around!
I would 110% recommend them!!! I dream of an opportunity to be at another event that they play at. -

I cannot say enough how much I love Renaissance Orchestra. I have known them for many years, and even before my wedding was a thought in my mind, I knew I would one day hire them. And that day has come and boy did they put on a party! I had such a strict timeline and they were able to keep the party moving and grooving all night long, even adding a few new songs to their repertoire! My goal was to dance the night away, until my feet could not take another second and they delivered! -

We wanted a band that would inspire everyone, young and old and of different cultures, to get out of their seats and party. They completely delivered. Bottom line - they have a wide ranging repertoire, awesome lead singers, and a wonderful manager who helps make sure they use their tremendous talents to deliver exactly what their clients are looking for. If this band is in your budget, grab the before they're booked!

I toured internationally as a professional musician for 4 years. I have a degree in Music Education. I now book shows for a large regional performing arts center with seating for over 3000 in our building. So, when I say I know quality musicianship and showmanship, I mean it. And, here, I say, "The Renaissance Orchestra" is AMAZING.
From first contact through the final notes of our wedding reception, the band was nothing but professional and talented. Phaedra and Leon did a great job heading the band, talking with us about what we wanted/didn't want, and then the group provided outstanding music througout our cocktail hour and wedding reception.
If I could, I'd turn The Renaissance Orchestra's review up to an 11.0!! -

They made our wedding more magical than we could have imagined, and our guests still haven't stopped raving about how much fun they had. The entire process was seamless and professional and the results were magnificent and flawless. Their repertoire is like nothing else out there and their talent is unparalleled. Our dance floor was packed the whole night, and we could not have been happier with our choice. Just perfect!
